“Satisfied, you vultures? Your reindeer games are over. Now get the hell out.”
Got busy and didn’t have much else to do for this Winter’s Weekend. Ended up having to maybe do something else later on in January or February at the earliest to finish up everything most likely might have more time then. However, been quite busy with as is the setting up every other items for the Winter’s Eve. Beyond that, not much else to do.

About FaeryVoid
I'm Fawn (FaeryVoid) I'm starting this blog to share my art, crafts, and creative projects.
My identity and experiences are very much reflected throughout my art etc, so first I'm gonna tell you a bit about me.
I'm a 21 yo queer, neurodivergent, disabled, ancom, punk, alterhuman, folk witch. Umm I really enjoy counterculture. I grew up in a Christian conservative family and I think I've always been drawn to things outside of the norm or things that rival the Christian conservative values. For example I've always been very hyper fixated on occult things and the macabre. I remember my mother saying when I was very young, "when I had a girl I thought I wouldn't have to worry about you being into these sorts of things". Looking back at that conversation now I find it very funny. Like I'm a genderqueer witch, I through her expectations right out the window. "God gave me instructions on how to live my life, but I couldn't read his handwriting so I burnt them last night" ~ Johnny Hobo and The Freight Trains. Though I was very isolated as a child so it wasn't until my early teens when information started becoming more accessible to me I discovered so many different aspects of myself. Things I had felt my whole life suddenly had names and communities of other people. Of course around that age 12-13 everyone around me thought everything was just a phase, while honestly I just had a bunch of information I never had before. Obviously my identity has evolved since I was only 12 years old, but I honestly had a very good sense of self at that age and I think my elders trying to convince me otherwise created so much self doubt. Anyways I've also always enjoyed creativity and creating things from a very young age and expressing myself through art etc. I'm also very crow-brained in the sense that I really like collecting things. I was a Monster High kid and now collect dolls as an adult. Also though not very relevant to this blog I was a Sonic kid, love Sonic. Cycling back to witchcraft today I'm pursuing a path in Celtic especially Welsh folk magic. I've actually been a witch for six or seven years now, but in the beginning I was very eclectic and actually I was Wiccan which definitely isn't my path anymore so I'm kind of relearning things. That's pretty much what I want to share about myself right now, in future projects like in zines I'll go more into debt on my identities, and experiences.
I plan on sharing a pretty broad array of art, crafts, and creative projects, like illustrations, zines, jewelry, poetry, DIY stuff, I'm thinking maybe even witchcraft related things. I'm teaching myself to cook so maybe stuff pertaining to that. I imagine it might not seem very cohesive, but I think overarching themes will tie everything together.
I also have a corresponding Instagram page for this blog. On top of that I've thought about making videos, but I'm not sure yet.

landlocked ocean witch tips
Tumblr media
Support the ocean with eco-friendly habits:
🐟 If you eat seafood, make sure it’s sustainably sourced - here’s a resource
🗑️ Participate in litter cleanups around your local lakes and rivers, it all flows to the ocean!
🤑 Donate money to, volunteer with, or follow nonprofits on social media that protect the ocean (I like Oceana, but there’s a lot out there!)
💧 Practice good water habits: conserve water and be conscious of products you put on your lawn/driveway and down the drain
📖 Study environmental issues that affect the ocean
Day trip ideas:
🐙 Visit an ethical aquarium or natural science museum near you
🐠 Or, maybe go to a pet store and look at the fish!
Consider keeping pet fish of your own - but keep in mind environmental impacts of ethically sourcing pet fish, etc.
🌅 Visit a lake, river, or creek, dip your feet in the water if it’s safe and remember the global connection across all oceans and bodies of water
🏊🏽‍♀️ Go swimming in a pool, lake, etc. and float, meditating on the ocean
🏖️ If you are able to travel to the ocean, and if you take a seashell, water, or anything off the beach, take a piece of trash with you as a thank-you to the ocean
Connecting with the ocean through your senses and imagination:
👚 Wear and surround yourself with colors that correspond with the ocean
blue, green, teal for water
white for sea foam
black, navy blue for the ocean depths
👂 Listen to ocean waves recordings (search youtube, spotify, etc.)
🛀 Take baths with sea salt
🔥 Light beach/ocean scented candles; consider DIY seashell candles too!
📱 Change your phone/computer wallpaper to an ocean scene. Decorate your bedroom or desk with ocean imagery.
💁🏽 Make DIY sea salt spray for beachy hair
🐚 If you are unable to collect sand or seashells from the beach naturally, you can check out craft stores! Keep in mind ethical sourcing of seashells (don’t purchase nautilus shells for example - they’re endangered).
📘 Read or watch documentaries about the ocean and its creatures
🧘🏽‍♀️ When you meditate, visualize yourself on the ocean, swimming, sunbathing, walking along the beach, on a boat or dock, whatever you like.
💍 Connect with sea glass - consider making/purchasing sea glass or seashell wind chimes + jewelry!
🌿 Eat or use seaweed! (See seaweed witchy properties)
🌊 Sea in a bottle craft
✏️ Get creative - make ocean-themed art or poetry, aesthetic boards, a side blog, decorate your altar if you have one, etc.
🎮 If you have a Wii, I really recommend the Endless Ocean game series. They’re about 10+ years old now, but they’re a really cool and peaceful diving simulator! I’m sure there are other ocean-themed games out there too.
Magic tips
🌙 Track the moon phases - the moon influences the tides. Make moon water if you don’t have sea water!
🧵 Knot magic is also a nautical witchy way to connect with the ocean
✨ Spell ideas
Crystal beach self-love spell
Sea knot magic - a wish bracelet spell
Siren glamour
Blue seas sachet spell
Simple shower spell
🌊 Timing your spells with tidal magic
💎 Crystals for water magic - make sure your crystals are water-safe! Never ingest crystal water.
🧹 Sea witch cleansing
🧂  Make your own sea water! Sea water, naturally collected or not, should not be used for drinking, just use it for baths/spells.
🛌  Bedridden sea witch tips

Witchy Wishlist 2018
I believe this is my first time actively participating in this wonderful tradition, and I am very excited about it. I have given “gifts” from people’s wishlists before, and that has always been a wonderful experience for me.
I am from the U.S.
Tumblr media
1. Handwritten letters! I absolutely adore exchanging handwritten letters with people. It’s such an under appreciated form of communication. If you would like to send me a letter, just send me a message and I’ll give you the address to send it to!
2. Any recipes/DIYs that you enjoy! It can be a food recipe, potions, drinks, body concoctions like lotion, etc.
3. Divination readings: tarot, oracle, pendulum, intuition, scrying, etc. I’d adore some guidance in my life right now.
4. Witchsona, moodboard, aesthetics, or anything that you think represents me and my craft. I have yet to be able to create or draw anything that feels right for myself, so I’d love to see what your interpretation and creations for me are!
5. Little trinkets, found objects, or natural things from your home or community that you would be willing to part with. This could be an acorn you found in your backyard, a coin you found in the street, or anything that really sort of feels special that I could place on my altar. I love having found objects. Again, message me for my address!
6. Anything Hellenic! If you have a drawing, statue, piece of jewelry, poem, etc. about any of the Greek Gods/Goddesses (especially Aphrodite), send it my way!
7. Your creations! If you knit or crochet, I’d love something cute and warm for the winter months. Maybe you draw or paint! I always need new artwork to put in my room or on my altar. Do you make jewelry? Send me a small piece and I’ll wear it with pride!
8. I’m a new worshipper of Satan and Baphomet, and need some things for my altar. If you have any Satanic trinkets, poems, songs, images, artwork, etc. I’d love that!
9. Non-tarot/not common readings: aura, past-life, etc. I would love to learn more about these parts of myself and so it would be much appreciated.
10. If you have the money, or any just laying around that you don’t use, I’d love tarot cards/oracle cards/pendulums. I am always collecting divination tools since I love doing readings, so this would be amazing!
11. Any antique/vintage things. I love old items that have history. It could be little jewelry pieces, pictures, trinkets, etc. I also love old letters/postcards and photos of people from the past. They are so powerful in my opinion!
12. Any advice for a witch who wants to start a Youtube channel. I’ve been playing around with the idea for a while and I’d appreciate any ideas or advice you have. What kind of content would you want to see?
13. Let’s be witchy friends! I always want more spiritual people in my life to connect and grow with, so please just come say hi and tell me about yourself. I promise I’ll be nice and totally ecstatic to talk with you!
Thank you so much, and Happy Yule! Much Love!

31 Days of Witchcraft Challenge
Tumblr media
It's January! This month, I’ll be kicking off the year with a huge dose of witchcraft, a daily witchcraft challenge, and I’d love for you to join me! Each day there will be a new task. Try to complete as many of them as possible and share you progress! Below you will find descriptions for each day. If you share your 31 days to your own witchblr, tag it #31daysofwitchcraft so I can see it!
1. New year, New Altar - Clean up your altar. Get it fresh for the new year ahead, and share a picture! Show off your witchy workspace. 2. Set Intentions for 2019 - What are you goals and desires as a witch in 2019? Who do you want to be? What do you want to work on? Write them down (#grimoirepageidea!) and share them. 3. Anoint a Candle for Positivity - Take spell candle (color is up to you!) and go through the motions of charging it for positivity. Anoint it with you favorite oil, moon water, or even just your intentions, and light it! Burn it all the way down and let that positivity surround you. 4. Find a Magical Space - Go outside near your home and find somewhere magical where you can connect with the world around you. It doesn’t have to be an enchanted forest or a mystical meadow. It just needs to be somewhere you can access when you need that extra connection. Share it! 5. Favorite Witchy Quote - Share a witchy quote that is making your day extra magical. 6. Show off your Witchy books - Time to take a #shelfie! Books and witches go together like stars and the sky. Take a picture of your personal library of magic tomes. 7. Get Witchy in the Kitchen - Pull out your favorite recipe and make something. You can make your favorite ritual food, an offering for a deity, or just something delicious that uses your favorite magical ingredients. Get in there and make a mess! (Don’t forget to share the recipe!) 8. Sweep Your Space - Grab a besom or even just your hand and sweep out your space. Guide those negativity dust bunnies still lurking around and shoo them out of your life. You can also do some smoke cleansing while you’re at it! (If you’re needing to do some actual sweeping, now would be a good time for that, too.) 9. Do a Pendulum Reading - Grab your pendulum (or make one!), and do some simple divination. If you’re new to pendulums, just take the time to get to know your tool. If not, ask it something! (Remember, pendulums love yes/no questions.) 10. Listen to a Magical Podcast - Sit back, relax, and grab your headphones. It’s time to get someone else’s opinions on magic. Whether you learn something, get to hear someone speak passionately about something you already know, or just expose yourself to a new perspective, it’s worth it. 11. Find your Aesthetic - Of course, witchcraft is never about the aesthetic. That doesn’t mean we don’t love to look at it! Gather some mood boards, your own matching tools, anything that matches your witchy aesthetic. Share it! 12. Connect with a Plant Friend - Even if you’re a witch with a black thumb, you’re probably in love with plants. Pay special attention to the plants you own, get a new one, or go outside and convene with a tree. Today is the day to connect with all things green and leafy. 13. Daily Tarot Reading - If you don’t already do daily tarot readings (or any kind of cartomancy!), pull a card. What does it say? Where does it guide you? 14. Share your Favorite Crystal - Alright, all my magpie witches. I know you’re as obsessed with pretty rocks as I am. Dive into your collection and show off your favorite stone. 15. Create a Self Care Bottle Spell - Bottles, jars, whatever vessels you have lying around, are great for containing spells with long-lasting effects. It’s time to turn one into a hub for pushing out that positive energy you need when self-care is most important. Share your spell and put it somewhere where you know you typically do your self-care rituals.
16. Share Your Favorite Grimoire Page - Whether you have a book of shadows, a grimoire, a collection of scribbles, or even something digital, I know you’re proud of all of your notes and recipes! Show off your favorite page or pages!
17. Monthly Book - This month’s book is Written in the Stars: Constellations, Facts, and Folklore by Alison Davies. Check-in and show us where you’re at! (Confused about this challenge? It’s meant for members of my witchy book club, Liber Coven! You can join us for our monthly read here: https://discord.gg/YPqCtds) 18. Create a Sigil - Sigils can be useful, small performances of magic with an endless array of possibilities. Create a sigil for something you need right now and activate it! 19. Watch a Magical Movie - Alright, we all have one, that one movie full of fantasy magic that makes us feel all powerful and witchy. Time to turn it on and immerse yourself in that movie magic. 20. Make a Cup of Tea - Tea is the perfect excuse for keeping those enormous stashes of dried and herbs and flowers and spending too much time at your local metaphysical store. Put them to good use and make yourself a cup of tea. Don’t forget to share the recipe!
21. Celebrate the Wolf Moon - January 21st is the day when the Wolf Moon rises. This year, January’s moon will be a full moon, Wolf Moon, Supermoon, and a total lunar eclipse! You’re going to want to celebrate and definitely make some moon water. 22. Study Something New - Witchcraft is a practice, an eternal process of learning and exploring. Put down all of your favorite things for today and explore a new aspect of the craft. 23. Visit a Witchy Store and Treat Yourself - So, we’ve explored a lot of the things we love: books, crystals, tea, tarot. Now, go to your favorite store for all your witchy supplies and get something new! It can be as small as a $2 piece of tumbled rose quartz. Just make sure it makes you happy. It’s your treat after all! 24.  DIY Something - You’ve bought something. Now, let’s make something! Put your crafting (the other kind of craft, silly witch) skill to use and make a piece of altar decor, a clever way to store your crystals, or even a piece of gorgeous jewelry. 25. Share Your Favorite Tool of the Craft - What is your favorite magical tool? Is it a spell candle? A cauldron? Tarot cards? Crystals? Whatever it is, share it! Show off the thing that makes your practice even more magical and rewarding. 26. Charm Something for Good Luck - Take something small, a coin, a pebble, an actual charm, and turn it into a magical good luck charm in whatever way you see fit. Now keep that charm on you! You’re going to want to put that luck to use. 27. Connect with Something Beyond Yourself (the moon, a deity, etc.) - It’s time to open yourself up and get to know something big. If you’re a religious witch, this might be a deity. It might also be the moon, an old tree, or even the earth itself. Whatever it is, connect with it, make an offering, and be grateful for the opportunity. 28. Write and Cast a Calming Spell - The month is almost over! Don’t panic. In fact, let’s prevent panic. Write or find a calming spell in whatever form you want (tea spell, bath spell, candle spell, etc.) and cast it. There’s no need to walk into February feeling antsy! 29. Explore Your Birth Chart - Even if you aren’t into astrology, looking at your birth chart can be a fun way to say “oh my gosh, me”. Take a trip through your birth chart (and look at some fun zodiac memes after)! 30. Bring Something in from Outside - A feather, a rock, a branch, find something outside and bring it in. Add it to your altar or turn it into a charm. Keep that natural energy with you for a while. 31. Cleanse - January is officially drawing to a close! Let’s head into February feeling brand new all over again. Cleanse whatever you feel is getting a bit musty (your altar, your room, yourself, etc.), and get ready.

“Use your purple…..”
Was looking for something to make a Wire wrap rings set from small enough that fits at the top side and can still survive about at least one or two levels of surrounding levels, but instead still working on the full set. Have at least 4 finished and thinking on the next one, might be a Blue that I was thinking it might work, but still busy. Mostly thinking on the level of if it should be able to fit in the set without ruining the idea of course. So, still trying to come up with something that should fit regardless of the size should be at most a blue shades or a black, if that’s where it lands, maybe one red as well, but still have lots to go with. Especially since the scheme of the set is very much so landing on at least Witchy and Winter in most cases. Especially due to the only thing In the way of finishing all of it is the little time it is provided by the time that is there. Though, thinking and might have to do some of them on January or February. Might not have lot of time for the rest in December, but at most a set has begun to form and the next thing might be some time left for at least one more this week. Though, still thinking….
Also mostly been a busy week so might resort to weekend for the rest of it.

In mid-April of 2019, I discovered I’ve been a green witch for my entire life. I found myself wanting to learn as much about this new part of my identity as I possibly could, and to discover what I could do with it. This weekly post is to help with exactly that - to serve as a focus, a single place to compile all my thoughts, my learnings, my findings, my discoveries and realizations.
May 15th, 2019
There’s more here than I would normally write in just one week - this is to catch up on the last month.
What I’ve Tried
I tried aura reading for the very first time on Thursday, on my own hand. Most of it was clear and unreadable, but I did catch tiny glimpses of a deep blue. On my very first attempt!!
I’m trying to make charging my morning tea a daily habit. It’s not perfected - I often forget to charge it, forget to notice results, and have a hard time focusing on visualizing. Drinking tea - and even being interested in it! - is such a new interest for me too, so there’s still much progress to be made.
I’m also trying to make thanking the earth and the sky upon my first steps outside a daily habit, but I’m having an even harder time remembering to do that. It’s worth noting though - it was raining pretty hard the first morning I tried. I got to my car and started driving to work - and nearly immediately, the rain stopped. Like, completely. It would have been the kind of rain that makes it hard to see while driving, otherwise. But it was clear for the entire length of my drive. And it picked back up again almost right after I got to the office. That, sent chills down my spine.
I was on the local Renaissance Faire grounds on Saturday for the first time since the season ended last fall, and while there I visited one of my favorite shops for old time’s sake - what I thought was primarily an incense shop, built into a forest thicket. I had no idea that it was actually a witchcraft supply shop, until I walked into it this time knowing what I do now. The walls were crowded with herbs for sale, and loose leaf teas, and mortars and pestals, and essential oils, along with so many different kinds and scents of incense.. I wanted to stay for so much longer, and appreciate everything, maybe ask some questions of the shopkeepers, maybe even buy some things.. but I’m still in the broom closet, and I was with Tyler at the time.
I also discovered the Faire’s tea shop for the very first time, and actually DID buy some tea from that lovely, lovely shop. I also bought a diffuser, so I can play with loose leaf tea right alongside bagged tea. And there is a beautiful garden in the back of that shop for anyone to enjoy, and let me tell you, when the weather isn’t cold and rainy, and I’m back for the regular Faire season come August, I am going to spend so much time getting to know that garden.
I also noticed that there are so many other witchy shops at the Faire that I had no idea were the real thing. The herb shop, the tea shop, a candle and lantern shop, multiple jewelry and clothing shops, another shop selling I don’t even remember what but is inside another thicket, but at this one the thicket is the shop, with walls made of leaves and branches, instead of a shop getting built inside a thicket.. I cannot wait until August so I can take a closer look around, and see what exactly has been under my nose this whole time.
What I’ve Learned
Oh, many, many things already. It has technically been a month, and I haven’t been recording anything in that time until now. So to save myself the stress of trying to just remember everything, I’m just going to list what I’ve learned in the last week, and anything else as it comes up.
My aura is deep blue. Or, at least it was Thursday afternoon. I’m not sure if it’s a permanent color, or if it changes from moment to moment. A quick google search turns up this as its meaning:
If your aura energy is blue, you're intuitive, and you love helping people. You remain calm during a crisis. Others lean on you for support. Royal blue aura: This means you are a highly developed spiritual intuitive or clairvoyant.
How about that shit. I wouldn’t say I’m “highly developed”... but that potential is absolutely there. It is raw and untamed and I have had run-ins with powerful spiritual experiences before.
I swear there’s some kind of magic in music. I listened to a Harry Potter ambient video on YouTube on Monday evening as background noise, the first time I poked into anything Harry Potter since learning I’m a witch, and that took me on a ride. The emotions I felt were unreal. I don’t even get that emotional anymore listening to the soundtracks just by themselves. ... there was something about that mix. I wonder what that power is, whether it’s something in me or something in the music, and what other ways it can come to call. It is unlikely I’m just making too much of it.. one of the very first things I’ve learned is that there is no such thing as coincidence.
How I’m Learning
I started off doing a little bit of googling, and haunting a Facebook group I’m a member of called DIY Witches. But now I’ve moved to mostly following and creeping on fellow witchy blogs, so if I like A WHOLE TON of your old posts at once, that’s why. Don’t mind me, I’m just collecting posts to reblog and keep, once I get to them in my likes to add to my queue.
Honestly, Tumblr witchcraft is SO MUCH MORE informative and varied - and not to mention woke - than anything I’d yet seen anywhere else. You are my people. I am going to learn so much here.
My Situation
I am 28 years old, work as a project manager at a full-time office job, and live in a rented townhouse with my boyfriend, Tyler. We moved in together July of 2018, have been together for almost four years now (four years in August!), and have been seriously talking about engagement. We have not been without our hiccups of varying severity, but we always work on understanding each other and finding a compromise, and things always work out in the end. I love him with all my heart and can’t imagine my life being spent with anyone else.
I was living in my parents’ house prior to moving last July. So, this is the very first time I’m living on my own, and dealing with all the responsibilities of adulthood on top of working a full-time job, home management, and dedicating time to my relationship. Finding time for myself and my multitudes of hobbies (I have so many) has been one of my biggest challenges, and highest priorities. And I’m happy to say I’ve been mostly successful in it. I’ve even been balancing a semi-good social life with it all.
With all that said, finding the time - but mostly, the energy - to devote entirely to witchcraft is something I have only barely begun to address. With everything else that takes up my time, and the balance I only just seemed to discover, I have not yet figured out how to add this as well.
And perhaps the more detrimental factor is Tyler. He doesn’t believe in anything in this vein at all, and in fact has been known to make fun of it on a regular basis. It’s entirely possible it’s because he’s understanding it incorrectly, and generally just doesn’t believe in any kind of spirituality. But currently, I am not comfortable talking to him about it at all. Maybe someday I’ll talk to him about it, and reveal what I am and what I feel, and help him learn and better understand. Maybe. But for right now, I have to keep anything I do quiet, private, and hidden.
Luckily, though, I’ve already been incorporating my love for trees and all things green into every aspect of my life for the last several years. I have made no effort to hide it. I thought it was just me “living my aesthetic.” Turns out it all meant so much more than that. And, hey - it can make it really easy to disguise things that are actually witchy as just “part of my aesthetic.” So I may actually be able to do some things without being discovered. 😊
My Story
This is something that will have to wait for another post. This one is already long enough. But, just you wait. This story reveals everything, and why my blog name is what it is. 🌳 💖 ✨

If you find these issues... you're in the wrong community.
You want to use some old glass that you found on the beach because it gives you comfort: DO IT.
You prefer/can only afford small crystals: GET THEM. Gosh, I'm a hereditary witch and I collect charms, some of my favorite stones are as big as a candy-corn.
You don't need jewelry, you are the unique jewel that is needed...same goes for the clothes...like really? Are we really going there? NO.
If you can't afford something DIY. In this way it doubles up its value. Because you're working for it! INTENTION MY DEARS.
You can grow your herbs? GOOD! You can't grow shit but you buy them at the supermarket? GOOD! you collect them in the woods? GOOD! You're stealing some from your neighbor? (You're my new favorite person) GOOD!
If someone discriminate against your practice, because you don't use expensive tools or you don't have a certain aesthetic...
...Well this person has clearly forgot that witches, practiced for centuries in poverty, as outsiders, with only their hunger for knowledge and their deep connection with the environment around them.
It's not a matter of minding your business anymore, these people need to remember where their discipline comes from. They need a refresh about witchcraft history.
My issue with the crystal, spiritual and witch communities is they're very classiest.
Listen I grew up way lower class so I thought
" wow finally communties that won't care about money "
Ha I was wrong.
Lets start with the crystal community and why it sucks:
1. The bullying people for buying man-made crystals
2. Bullying people for buying colored crystals
3. The shamimg of crystal sizes, legit people act like having a small crystal collection or small sized crystals is somehow bad??
Spiritual community issues:
1. The f🍀cking " spiritual " jewelry crazy... The trend of acting as if those that can't buy super pricey smithed jewlrey is somehow less spiritual...
2. The anti-homemade bs. Seriously people get treated like they're somehow not as spiritual for having home made stuff.
3. If you buy from big companies you get called a sell out but if you buy from small businesses then you're called a pick me, there is no winning with these people...
Witchy community issues:
1. Shaming homemade stuff again people act likw unless your stuff is new, shiny and cost your soul then you aren't really witchy...
2. Shaming of grewing your own herbs or not growing. Again it's a d🐝mned if you do and d🍓mned if you don't sort of thing... Legit not everyone has money or room for herbs like gardens or big herb bundles brought from buisnesses.
3. Witchy jewlrey... Witchy jewlrey is jewlrey that a witch wores. Witchy jewlrey is not hundreds/thousands of dollars on hand smithed jewltry..
4. Witchy clothing issue. Witchy clothing is whatever a witch is wearing! It's not pricey clothing that cost your right eye.
So how do these communties fix these issues? Well I'll tell you!
Mind your d🐝mn beeswax
