the notes on the dog burying post are so funny because people when it was posted were like furiously checking all news sources to verify that joe biden did NOT bury this dog and claiming that it was russian election interference when like. this didn't need to be disproven. anyone can figure out its fake. why on earth would biden bury a dog and why would this event be captured only in gifs that look like they're reversed. that being said i hope he does face justice for this heartless crime. #sad!

Personal fav is those few pepole calling Wayne an alt right troll or an election distruptor. Imagining russia creating a long-con fake tumblr user since 2014 only to years later discredit biden.

Y'know what I'm thinking about at the moment

Din's rifle.

Specifically, Din's Amban Phase-Pulse Distruptor Rifle.

Specifically specifically, the blaster that may or may not make Din a war criminal.

Yes, a war criminal.

Canonically, Distruptor Blasters are outlawed by the Empire and the Republic, both iterations of it.

The reason for this is that they break down biological matter and straight up disintegrate it.

Those Jawa's we watched Din murk? Yeah, they died a horrifically agonizing death that only lasted for all of a millisecond before they turned to ash and left nothing behind besides a pile of cloth.

But, like, being a Mandalorian, which, duh, and a bounty hunter, which is in such a grey area of the law that it loops right back around to being illegal, and a member of the Children of the Watch, a known splinter group of a notorious terrorist group responsible for two whole coups, Death Watch, that might be the least of his problems.

I don't know why I'm fixating on this detail, but I think it makes him funnier.

So I (Seth) *had* a headcanon-

Alex: Don't get me wrong, Sebastián, it's a very humorous thought. It's just has a 0.000001% chance of ever being Canon.

So it's a thought I had a giggle about. Timeline in which Alexsandr Kallus technically follows orders, every single one. But if he doesn't agree with the orders, he... comes up with creative ways of following them lmaooooo

Alex: Imagine being the definition of malicious compliance.

Example I was thinking on that got pointed out wouldn't be Canon, but is still funny.

During the Siege of Lasan, Kallus not agreeing with how the empire wants it to go down, but will still follow orders.

He does as told and he uses a t-17.

But..

He solely uses it as a melee weapon. Not once does he use it for its intended purpose. So there he is, in the middle of a battlefield, using this highly destructive piece of equipment as a fucking sword or staff.

Imagine how that conversation with his superiors went.

He gets told as they're pulling up into Lasan's orbit what weapons they will be using.

Kallus, speaking with his superior: Sir, I wasn't aware that the Lasat had an enormous and advanced Arial fleet.

His Superior Officer, boredly looking through his datapad: They don't.

Kallus, hope he's just confused, piecing together what he wasn't being told directly: Then why are there so many distruptors?

HSO, replying with disinterest: They are the weapons we will be using to subdue the revolting planet.

Kallus: but sir... that isn't the intended purpose of this type of equipment.

HSO, looking away from his datapad to glare at Kallus: are you questioning orders?

Kallus, accepting the fact that he can't change the orders that have been given and grits his teeth: No.

HSO, satisfied: That's what I thought. You will use the T-17s to subdue the Lasat.

Kallus, nodding as he bites the insides of his cheeks, mentally flipping him off: Yessir.

On Glass Onion (2022)

1. Glass Onion (2022), directed by Ryan Johnson

An Entertaining murder mystery with an up-to-date depictions of an exentric millionaire Miles Bron played by Edward Norton, instagram influencers and wealthy "distruptors", people in power. Who does not love Daniel Craigs Detective Benoit Blanch and a "come back" for Kate Hudson. It is crystal clear that this movie is about entertainment but it also tries to sort of critique the 1% lifestyles. I don´t think it does it very well but it tries.

Like the first Knives Out film this one has interesting use of paintings and art work in the back ground as sort of easter eggs for the viewers. First of all there is a terrifically tasteless shirtless portrait of Edward Norton/ Miles Bron (more on the subject here). Next to it a painting that looks as if Francis Bacon would have painted a triptych of Ronald MacDonalds. Then some Mondrian and Picasso... Money money money... And Kanye West? We get to solve the riddles and mysteries at the same time with Detective Blanc. 2. Icarus, Matisse, image from here

Flying too close to the sun, Icarus got his wings burned. Also kind of a portrait of Miles Bron. This depiction also looks like a bang-bang-bullet- to-the-chest.

I feel like people are too hard on Peg, yeah she sided with Miles and the Disruptors at the end initial climax of the movie, but I can’t blame her.

First of all, we know that her entire working life has been taking care of Birdie, other than a slight stint in retail.  she isn’t rich or famous, she’ just the babysitter of a rich and famous person, at best she’s middle class, possibly with money stashed away if she embezzled some from Birdie, but that’s doubtful.all she had as a form of income is taking care of Birdie despite how tough of a job is because her client is an idiot.

Secondly, is it the right thing to do to back Helen, yes, but they lost their only leverage with the napkin burned, which in an actual case wouldnt’ give them that much leverage even if the movie is pretending that it would.  the only chance they have is for the others to reveal what they heard, which they already wouldn’t since they lied under oath already. Even if she backed Helen, at best they win the case and she loses her job.  far more likely, she backs Helen and is fired, defamed by her former boss and her powerful friend, including a congresswoman and the richest man in the world who everyone thinks is a tech genius.  It’s one thing if they had proof, but there was nothing to gain except a moral victory that would amount to nothing but lose for her. Or the worst could happen and Miles who already killed a former friend and business partner, a current friend, and tried to kill Helen with a gun less than an hour before the reveal. Someone who owned the island, an island that they were stuck on until morning at the earliest.

third, why would she stick her neck out for Benoit and Helen, yes, it’s the right thing to do, all the Distruptors treat her at best as Birdie’s tagalong, but the two of them don’t treat her any better. Neither of them I think bothered to talk to her throughout the entire movie, or even look at her. Their only interactions with her are both of them treating her like the help, Helen as Andi shoving a drink in her hand while she can go off on the Disrupters and Benoit telling her to radio the boats.  While Peg didn’t look at all uncomfortable with Helen/Andi shoving her drink in her hands, it’s not getting to know her either.  They didn’t even bother to think of her as a suspect or someone who they could get information from.  It’s not like it would have been hard for Helen to talk to her, the way Peg looked at her she would have done anything for a moment alone with her.  Not sure if Peg had a thing with Andi that we don’t know about from before she got ostracized by the group, or if Peg was just attracted to women who are as beautiful as Janelle Monáe, which I cant’ blame her for.  But they didn’t even try to get info from her or treat her as anything other than Birdie’s accessory.

fourth, and while this doesn’t excuse Peg, she was drunk, probably insanely so.  before Duke dies, she has a her cup but she uses a bottle of some sort of liquor, I think Bacardi but I’m not a drinker, in Miles’ toast.  She’s not in a right state of mind and while the murder and lights going out might have sobered up her a bit mentally, the body just doesn’t work like that.  there’ maybe a hour at most between Duke’s death and the reveal, there’s a very good chance she’s still drunk in between the moment.  Mentally exhausted from dealing with Birdie’s garbage and treated like Birdie’s keeper/luggage I’d be drinking to or maybe high.  I’d also be more susceptible to going along with whatever a group, including my boss, wanted me to do. 

I’m not saying she’s a saint who was wrongfully accused.  Regardless of the reason, she sided with a murderer when she knew he did it.  But acting like she’s the same as the Disruptors is just wrong

Lessons Learned from Introduction to Entrepreneurial Mind

During the class, I learned about how important entrepreneurs are to our economy, inspired by economist Joseph Schumpeter's views. He sees entrepreneurs as key to driving social and economic progress, driven by their passion for creating, making things, reaching goals, and succeeding.

Entrepreneurs are individuals with fresh and innovative ideas. They take the lead in starting new businesses, often paving the way in the business world. In essence, entrepreneurs drive economic growth by introducing new concepts and businesses, making significant contributions to society's advancement and prosperity.

As we talk about disruptive innovation, I found the this idea as fascinating because of its power to bring about big changes. Disruptive Innovation starts by meeting basic needs in a low-cost market segment. It gradually improves and expands, eventually displacing established competitors by offering better features and attracting more customers.

Example cases of distruptors used by our instructor:

1. Uber changed the taxi industry by offering a more convenient and affordable option through its ride-hailing app.

2. Netflix changed entertainment by switching from DVDs to streaming, offering a huge collection of movies and TV shows you can watch anytime, anywhere.

At the end of the lesson, I learned that entrepreneurship isn't taught like other subjects with textbooks and strict rules. It's about learning by doing and dealing with real-life problems. Instead of just studying theories, entrepreneurs learn through hands-on experience and trial and error, which helps them develop skills like creativity, adaptability, and problem-solving.

I love how he kept doing this even after we found out Andi is actually Helen. One small detail I loved is when Helen sits with Blanc and makes the chart of motives and opportunities, she writes Miles' name at the top of the list, not alongside the other distruptors. He was right there on that list, but completely unsuspected. That reinforced Miles' innocence to us viewers.

The movie (Glass Onion) really played with our expectations in the first half and I absolutely loved it.

At the start of the movie, when everyone was receiving their boxes from Miles Bron, and there was the whole “murder mystery thing”, I thought that obviously Miles Bron was going to be murdered, and they were going to have to figure out who killed him. So the entire first half of the movie, I was analyzing each character EXCEPT Miles Bron to try to figure out who was the murderer. And the narrative seemingly supported this erroneous conclusion I made - Benoit points out that each character has a reason to kill Miles, etc. I was a little thrown when Duke was killed, but then seemingly vindicated when it was revealed he had drank from Miles’s glass. I realize now that most of the assumptions I had made was because of Knives Out - in Knives Out, the patriarch of the family was killed, and all these people who had something to gain or lose from the inheritance were suspects.

I also took Benoit at his word that he had received his box anonymously, and I was trying to figure out who sent him his box. I thought it was exactly like Knives Out - Benoit received an anonymous invitation. I was analyzing each character and ‘knew’ that the only character who didn’t send their box to Blanc was Andi, because she smashed hers. Again, my expectations were totally played with.

During the second half of the movie I realized how foolish I had been. It was a masterstroke by Rian Johnson to not have us analyzing the characters we should have been looking closely at all along and seemingly “eliminating” them from our suspects.

I'm sure I mentioned this before but if I hadn't if the next Ratchet & Clank game is going to fully take place in the Lombax Dimension, then there shouldn't be any (or at least not many) older weapons in the game's arsenal.

Along with the usual "too many weapons are overused in the series" topic fans have pointed out and luckily stopped a bit in Rift Apart, a game that takes place in a entirely different universe with different rules and run by great inventors could lead to the most creative weapons in the series yet, especially with the new adaptive trigger feature the PS5 controller which is a topic for a later day.

Again I would be okay with a FEW exceptions, like this would be the perfect excuse to bring back Lombax/Lombax inspired weapons from the series like the Alpha Distruptor (which I've stated before is a perfect weapon to utilize the adaptive trigger feature) and the Cryomine Glove. Maybe the Doppelbanger from All 4 One could be in the game as well since its fitting for a game about Lombaxes, plus I could see an unlockable cheat where you could customize it to look like either Ratchet or Rivet.

I'd also be okay with the starting weapons being the Burst Pistol and Shatterbomb as at least they are new and different from the Combuster and Fusion Grenade.

Logically, she knew Laura would be fine. Her healing factor went beyond anything that had been seen by the Federation. She'd just need a moment to realign her bones and put herself together.

Logically she knew all this.

T'Lyn wasn't feeling very logical right now.

The Abomination turned, just in time to get a blast to the right eye. Regardless of how armored one's skin might be, the eyeball was an eternal weak point.

Grabbing a spear blaster from a dead chitauri, she kept blasting, aiming for the eyes each time.

Eventually, the Abomination charged, giving her a chance to do some actual damage. Her phaser was useless, but the Romulan distruptor Will had snuck her was much more powerful.

The first shot missed, vaporizing a chitauri foot soldier right in front of the others.

The next shots didn't. The Abomination wasn't dying, but each shot caused it to roar in agony as his flesh vaporized and regenerated over and over.

"You. Do NOT. TOUCH. MY. GIRLFRIEND!"

This planet Jason was on was once thriving world. A planet full of trees, water, animals, and people. All who lived peacefully on the planet, until a war broke out in this sector. This left the planet in ruins, all of its resources plundered, and its people nearly wiped out. Centuries have passed and the planet has been nearly forgotten.

Jason was told the planet was under the control of a group called the Klingons. He didn’t think too much about it and knew he would be out of here before they found out or one of their allies.

He walks over towards his prize. A box containing a valuable item that he knew would come in for a pretty penny…or whatever currency the people of this universe use. He walks over and begins to disable any security systems around, before getting his prize. He wipes away the dirt from it, opens it, and smiles when he saw what’s inside.

“Just like the buyer said,” Jason whispered before putting the box in his bag.
