Re-Verse Lila/Cerise and Vixen

Lila is a double agent working for both sides. She infiltrated the Supreme and managed to manipulate her way into the top ranks and recieve the Fox miraculous, while at the same time being a member of Gabriel's resistance. She isn't loyal to either one of them and has her own agenda. Also, neither side knows she's also working against them. Using her illusion powers, she can appear to be in two places at once. She joined Gabriel's cause to try to get her hands on the butterfly miraculous. As Vixen she doesn't work alongside Luka, Kagami and Felix. She's slightly higher ranked than Kagami, so she's usually sent to more high-profile missions. The resistence is constantly trying to figure out who she is, since she's one of their toughest obstacles. Lila is constantly leading them in wrong directions regarding her identity

you’re not sure why it started. you’re not even sure when.

was it because you were friends with aphmau? or garroth? because you followed the rules and made good grades? or were you just an easy target?

at first, she had only sent glares your way, cerise hair framing that ugly grimace she’d reserved for you when no one was looking. sometimes she’d spit a snide comment or two, aiming to berate you and take you down from the core. but then it got worse. you were “bumped into”. then shoved outright. threatening notes were tucked in your locker when you weren’t looking.

she must have realized people would believe you if you told someone. you had a good standing, kept to yourself, didn’t go out of your way for attention. and she had a reputation to keep, too.

you were shocked, when one day she had stopped. she didn’t speak to you, didn’t hit you. hell, she didn’t even go near you. but it wasn’t because she was done with you, it was because it was going to get worse.

students you didn’t even know started approaching you, accusing you of things you’d never done, berating you, and if no one was looking…

you had wondered every possibility of why and when.

but now, you don’t think of any of that, as a group of boys chased you through the empty halls, spatting unrepeatable insults and threats of violence that you sure weren’t just empty promises. you could barely think—barely breathe and stay ahead—as you sprinted through the side of the school that somehow no teacher nor student could be seen to help.

you still kept your destination set on one spot, a place that would either save you or make your situation a thousand times worse. it was your only option, though, ironically as it was.

bursting through the doors of the school’s outdoor shed, you nearly collapsed in relief at the sight of him—your bleak sliver of hope for survival.

hooded eyes meet yours curiously from under thick lashes and messy black hair, before snapping to the group of boys racing in behind you like a pack of hyenas. his jaw snaps in place, nearly squishing the half burned cigarette that hung from his lips. he sits up from his spot on some stacked gym mats, his purposefully disheveled uniform even messier than usual. they freeze at the doorway, nearly tumbling over the other as their eyes widen at the sight.

“get the fuck out.” is all he has to say, lifting a scabbed-over hand to flick ash in their direction as they scramble back out of sight.

your relief is short lived, you realize, as you’re now left alone with him. you anxiously shy away from his dark blue gaze, your legs wobbling as they try to take you towards the door. you nearly jump out of your own skin when his tall build quickly intercepts your path, his arm lazily reaching out to shut the door and seclude the two of you inside.

“not you.”

you back up as he begins to pace toward you, every two steps you take one of his before you’re finally stopped by the shelf behind you. the scent of a musky cologne and cigarette smoke invades your senses as he also stops, face merely inches away from yours as he looks down at you.

“how did you know i was in here?”

you quickly turn to try and run around him, but his hand connects against the shelf to your right. as you flinch and try to turn the other way his other arm has already pinned you in, leaving you completely trapped.

“i’m sorry.” you finally muster, head ducked as you stare at the ground in front of you. “i didn’t know.”

“so you just happened to run into me here in a place no one has caught me in, yet, huh?” he tilts his head. “you thought it would be smart to run in a secluded area with no escape while a group of boys was after you, is that it?”

you stay silent, fighting away the tears of exhaustion and anxiety biting at your eyes. gene looks away from you towards the door again, plucking the cigarette from his lips and exhaling more smoke from his lungs.

his eyes flick back down to you, watching as your features flinch in displeasure and nausea as some of the smoke catches in your face. a second passes before he drops it to the concrete flooring, putting out the lit paper and nicotine under his shoe.

“you may be smarter than me when it comes to academics but i’m not falling for that. you think i haven’t noticed you watching me? somehow always “running into me” when you’re in trouble?”

the blood drains from your face as you realize you’ve been caught, your teary eyes dreadfully trained at the wall.

“it’s kind of rude to take advantage of me like that and not pay me back…” he trails, calculating eyes trained on every reaction and expression you give. “maybe i’ll make you join my group and do my dirty work for me.”

you curse internally at the tears that fall from your eyes, unable to contain themselves in your eyes as they spill over. an embarrassed moment passed before a busted up hand brushes against your cheek, catching the delicate and salty liquid on his fingers. you flinch, finally facing him as your reddened eyes meet his. his expression is unreadable, making a face you hadn’t seen on him before.

“nah. you wouldn’t be able to handle it.” he finally says, his voice nearly startling you.

a couple seconds more pass as he stares at your silent tears, eyebrows furrowing before he makes a noise somewhere between a scoff and a sigh. he straightens his posture, lifting his arms away and releasing you from his trap.

“they should be gone now.” he waves his hand, motioning towards the shed door for you to leave when you don’t move as if his intentions had been obvious in the first place. 

“go.”

“what? you don’t want anything?” you ask, voice wobbling.

“i don’t care for ivy’s style. and people like you aren’t any fun to mess with, anyways...” he says, his eyes finally leaving yours for once as he stares off at the wall behind you, rolling his tongue against the inside of his cheek.

you hesitate a second more, but you don’t have time to dissect his body language or choice of words, so you quickly head towards the door. you pause one last time before running out, turning to him again.

“thank you.”

and then you’re gone. gene groans, cursing under his breath and running his hand through his hair as he trails to the doorway to watch you disappear back into the school again. you weren’t sure how to feel when your aggressors stopped approaching you so much, their presence replaced by a distant glimpse you’d catch of messy black hair in your peripheral. sometimes you’d even notice sasha or zenix quietly trailing after you in the hall, but you knew better than to question it, gratefully keeping your head down.

Season 6 of ML is a direct reflection of Season 3: Here's why

Going into season 6, the writers claimed that this would be a new beginning, a reset on everything that has happened so far. And to a large extent it is.

No longer are we expecting serialized episodes, and have thus far been treated to several expositional episodes, where we are introduced to new and old characters and situations.

Some might consider this a "new season 1" a brand new beginning to welcome in arc 2 of the miraculous ladybug story. However, I think that this is a misrepresentation of season 6 as a whole. And I believe from what we've seen so far of this season, and what has been teased to us, that this season relates far more to season 3, than it does to season 1.

For starters, let's talk about the most obvious comparison the call-back to season 1 episode 1's Stormy Weather. While we have yet to see episode 1 of season 6, the weather-themed akuma "Climatiqueen" sounds to be a clear reference to the French name of Stormy Weather "Climatika".

In both these instances, the reference back to the first episode effectively functions as a reset. In season 3, "Stormy Weather 2" serves as an introduction point to the latter half of the season and a way to distance the more "frivolous" early episodes from the more important and high-stakes latter episodes. In season 6, it functions as a transition from what we saw in season 5 to what we are to expect in season 6.

There are a few more episode call-backs in season 6 to season three, but of all of them, this was the most convincing of intentionality on the part of the writers.

Next comparison we see is with Lila, and how she "changes targets". The episode Chameleon in season 3, is when we start to see a major shift in Lila, specifically in her focus from Ladybug to Marinette. While she still targets Ladybug after this episode, this is where we start to see a decline, until we get to season 5, and she's all but forgotten about Ladybug.

In season 6 too, we see her begin to shift again. While in episode 2, we see her obsessively watching Marinette and Adrien's date, this is ultimately in pursuit of Ladybug. The shift has begun. If my analysis is correct, we will see more and more of a preoccupation with Ladybug from Lila (Cerise?) and less of a focus on Marinette in Lila's antagonistic role

(Also wanted to point out this amazing call back to season 3 episode 1 "Chameleon it's very on the nose)

What's also important to note is that while season 3 might have been episodic, the information relayed in each episode was vital, and nearly all of it was brought up in subsequent episodes/seasons (re: new heroes, chat blanc, the statue scene TM). With season 6 so far, this appears to also be the case. The episodes are episodic, but I would hardly call them fluff. We've been told new lore, understood ever-changing relationships, and have been privy to the delicacy in which virtually all characters exist.

This frailty is something that we actually see a lot in season 3, especially in relation to secret keeping. In season 3, we have Kwamibuster, Desperada, Weredad, Chat Blanc, and Ladybug. All episodes that either reference, or center around issues relating to secrets and identities. In season 3, we actually see the most threats to secret keeping. Season 4 by comparison only has 3 (gang of secrets, wishmaker, and ephemeral).

Secrets are winding their way around the plot of season 6 as well, a threat that appears most pointed in the most recent episode "Revelator". The delicate tether of these secrets seem precarious to us viewers, just as they did in season 3. And just like season 3, they're bound to break at some point, in a catastrophic and calamitous way...

Which leads me to the whole reason I made this post and why I think the writers created this reflection...

The episode 22 slot.

Just to be clear on what I mean by that, here is the 22nd episode of season 3:

The tenterhooks of identities in season 3, eventually came to a head in the episode "Chat Blanc", an episode where we learn what would happen if they knew each others identities. An episode where we say Adrien get akumatized for the first time.

So far, every clue seems to point to Marinette being akumatized this season, right down to the name of this villain "Lady Chaos" seems perfect of a callback to Ladybug for me. And with the way this secret has intertwined with Ladybug's identity, relationships, and reputation, there's no shortage of reasons as to why she might get akumatized.

Right now, in these early season 6 episodes, we are being provided the tools to allow her to finally get akumatized. Alya has a kwagatama and can reference Marinette to defeat Marinette. She also has been named Marinette's successor if necessary (and has a premade suit). Chat Noir has the ability to remove the memory of Ladybug's identity from anyone's mind. And most importantly, we have been provided a motive, over and over again.

After all, let's not forget this call back...

Marinette Salt Prompt: In Which Cerise didn’t merely wanted the Wish and actually told a Truth (Part 2)

Marinette’s reputation as ladybug was beyond repair, chat noir was barely speaking to her, and her friendship with Alya was rocky. She was upset that she would keep something like this from Adrien and claim that it was for his own good. But no matter how upset she was at Marinette she set that aside because there was a more important issue, the missing miraculous. They noticed something off when during an akuma attack they needed the bee miraculous but vesperia never showed. As ladybug she visited Zoe to get answers and was given the worst news possible, that she didn’t have the miraculous anymore.

Worried, she checked on each of her friends and found that half of her friends no longer had their miraculous and was instead replaced with a fake. She quickly told the others to be on high alert before rushing back to Alya. They began to investigate who could be behind it but quickly ran into a dead end. No one could place one suspicious person. One moment it’s was a woman with blonde hair and blue eyes the next a woman with long pink hair or a man with slicked back hair and a mustache. They were getting no where and the only thing they could speculate was that this could be connected to the new butterfly holder.

For now Cerise was posing as one of her many identities ‘Emily’ to go undercover at Dupont. She decided to take a less direct approach to ruining Marinette’s reputation. In fact she wasn’t going to do much of anything, Marinette was going to do all of it herself. Instead of intergrading herself into their friend group she stayed away from them and made other friends. She subtlety pointed out her behavior past and present saying how “disturbing” it was. None of it was a lie either, Marinette had harassed girls she felt were getting too close to Adrien and stalked him to find out what he was doing. She just made people more aware of it and pay more attention. The girls who thought they were the only ones harassed by her started talking about their experiences. 'Emily’ pointed out how it seemed like her friends were all aware of her behavior and encouraged it.

It didn’t take long for rumors to spread of Marinette being a creepy fangirl and her friends helping her. The rumors had spread so far that they reached Sublime. When Sublime first met Marinette she was warry because of the rumors surrounding her, but she figured they were just mean things someone had made up and gave her a chance. Watching from afar, Cerise saw Marinette’s frantic movements and knew she was about to do something stupid. She followed them down to the track and stayed out of sight. She watched as Marinette pretended to be akumatized ruining Sublime’s prosthetics in the process and transform into ladybug to make it seem more real.

The next day at school 'Emily’ expressed her worry for Sublime because of what she heard Marinette did. People were quick to check on Sublime and asked her what happened between them. Sublime recounted what happened that day and how she wanted to give her a chance despite the rumors about her but after everything that happened she wanted nothing to do with her. The incident quickly spread and solidified in their minds that Marinette was a creepy fangirl. They even speculated that Marinette knew ladybug with how fast she arrived even though it clearly wasn’t an akuma attack. People felt bad for Adrien, he was lied to about his father being a hero and now it turns out his girlfriend is a crazy fangirl and all his friends knew and even helped her. Cerise smiled as everyone in school talked about Marinette and her friends, it was only a matter of time before she broke them down completely.

Things I hate in Miraculous Fanfiction+Fandom Edition

Okay, I get, Miraculous show is a fifty-fifty for me, however Miraculous fan fictions are seventy-thirty, seventy leaning towards hate. No specific titles will be mentioned, and this is just on what I hate why I hate it.

Any Fanfiction including Nathaniel, Kagami, and Lila as the bitches.

For people who know, back then, these three were hated, and characterized to be bitches and motherfuckers for specifically on YouTube, as Kagami and Lila as bullies of Marinette and obsessive of Adrien, and Nathaniel as this some guy who only cares about Marinette "Just for her sexy body" (This is an almost direct quote, and their 14 for fucking sake) in middle of season 2 release.

The characters in this tropes make their whole personality trait being falling in love and being rude and hatable. Comparing this to the show honestly the show's characterization a lot more better only by a pinch of sugar, even Lila is not a character driven to love Adrien the most.

I don't mind people just mischaracterize or make someone an antagonist however the only apparent purpose of antagonizing these three characters are that they "Threat" the Adrinette ship. What makes it hypocritical is that Luka (A character who showed up along with being a potential love interest for Marinette like Kagami with Adrian) in this trope, he is always the "good" character because he needs to be shipped with a "redeemed" Chloe. The basic problem is that even though Luka threats the main ship, he is not really characterized to be like the description above.

2. When the Akumaclass defends Lila in the extremest way.

Like the above, I don't mind people antagonizing certain characters for certain reasons, but in some fanfics, where people would antagonize the akumaclass and characterize them as "bullies because they believe in Lila's lies" why? Like it's super out of character especially for Mylene, Rose, Ivan, Nathaniel, and Juleka. They believe in Lila's lies but don't force Marinette to do so except for Chameleon episode.

Then again them believing in Lila is not farfetched since their own lives are spectacular and pretty interesting too, comparing it to Lila they might see it as real, just more boastful that is.

Lila IS a manipulative and convincing liar, she seems to do her research and is never fully claiming things like she did in the Hero's Day part one, she even convinced us audience with her real Identity of Cerise Bianca.

So are these all an excuse for the akumaclass actions? No. Are they gullible? Yes. But are they bullies and defends Lila to the extreme? Heavens no.

3. Chloe Redemption

Now SOME BUT NOT ALL Chloe redemption fan-fictions are pretty bad, most of the ones I read too. Some variety consists of her parents suck that's why she bully, Lila is being mean to Marinette, she defends Marinette, she redeems. That's the basic idea.

I do admit I do love Chloe redemption fics when the whole purpose is to make her understand what she does is bad, realizes that she is becoming the abuser like her parents, and is willing and wanting to change, not an instant change but slow and gradual. Not for the sake of needing a new bff for Marinette or out of the blue.

This is my least complaints. I have a list as big as the "Things I Hate About The Miraculous Show Edition" So if you want that then let me know.

Headcanon about fashion in Ever After High

I think this might be obvious to a lot of people, but in Ever After High, the characters dress more according to what they expect them to be, with references to their story rather than reflecting a personal style.

For example, in Monster High, the ghouls' clothes have direct references to fashion, personality and their unique style. In EAH, however, we don't see as much of that. My headcanon is that, as the characters in EAH achieve their own destinies, this would start to reflect in their personal style as well.

Like, Cerise, Raven, Poppy and Sparrow adopting more gothic or punk references, like Venus. Briar could have a more sporty style, like Lagoona, considering the sports she plays (no one skydives in a pencil skirt!). Or maybe even something more fashionista, like Clawdeen.

Blondie would go with something more romantic or lolita, like Draculaura's style.

I don't know, it's just a thought I have.

A few of my headcanons about my favorite weirdo in Transformers — Agent Fowler

Warning: English is not my native language, so I apologize for any mistakes in the text

He was born and raised in New Orleans in the late 1960s (so during the events of the show, he’s around 40–45 years old)

His parents died when he was a child (during Hurricane Betsy), so he was raised by his maternal grandmother

She was an old eccentric who practiced voodoo and claimed that one of their ancestors had been a close ally of Marie Laveau

She carried a creepy deck of tarot cards and was blind in one eye

She had a pet python (named Cerise) and a collection of carved skulls — no one dared ask where she got them

She was an incredible cook, especially known for her spicy alligator stew, made with gators she caught herself in the river behind the house

When Fowler tells these stories, no one believes him — except Miko and Optimus

But Fowler loved his grandmother deeply, and she loved him just as much. At school, no one bullied him — everyone was too afraid of the old woman. That’s more or less how I imagine her:

In the army, he earned the nickname 'Ducky' because he made several emergency water landings

Every aircraft he piloted was named "Lucky 13". Because - fuck superstition!

I’m sure he knows a lot of compromising dirt — otherwise they wouldn’t have put him in charge of dealing with damn aliens or singlehandedly hauling nuclear stuff across the country

He had a wife. Maybe his grandmother introduced them when he came home on leave. She was sharp-tongued but a good person, and he was a bit odd, still carrying fresh wounds — back then, he looked like a poster soldier

Neither of them planned to have kids, but Fowler wouldn't have minded having one or two

They spent several years together, but separated after an especially dangerous operation — when Fowler was brought home barely alive. She realized she needed a living man, not a cold stone with a name and two dates on it

During one of the operations, he was injured and couldn’t return to active duty — but he was still a valuable asset, now spending more of his time behind a desk, working with paperwork

For a while after that, he drank heavily, sank into depression, and completely lost himself. But then he pulled himself together

And then the kids showed up, and Space Stalin returned with an alien drug, and then Cybertronian Satan nearly destroyed the planet… and a lot more happened after that

Now he’s in the middle of nowhere, accompanied by a wounded cosmic Buddha and Alexander the Great in one body, telling stories about the voodoo once practiced by his late grandmother and gazing at the starry skies of Northern Europe. At least Optimus’s frame was warm, and Optimus himself was a good listener — even if not much of a conversationalist. Life didn’t seem all that bad

  Solar was sorting out some papers, with Ruin lying next to him. Ruin was basically snuggled up against Solar. The door to the house creaks open, with Jack peeking in.

  “Um…Dad? Mama Ruin?” Jack spoke, the bell on his head jiggling. Solar looks over, tilting his head.

  “Jack? What happened? Where were you??” Solar questioned, placing down the papers. Ruin perks up, looking over in Jack’s direction. 

  “…I…have a surprise for you guys…” 

  “What is it?” Ruin rubs his eyes, sitting up.

  Jack pauses, opening the door some more. Just then, Aurora sprinting into the living room, making her way to Solar and Ruin. She immediately hugs Solar’s leg. 

  “PAPA!! DADA!!” Aurora shouted, smiling from ear to ear. Ruin falls off the couch in pure shock, and Solar immediately picks her up, hugging her. Jack facepalms.

  “Aurora…I thought we agreed to make the reunion just a bit more dramatic?”

  “WELL, I AM THE DEFINITION OF DRAMATIC, SO IT STILL WORKS!!” 

  Jack just laughs. Ruin stands up, still in shocked. “But…how did you-we don’t even…”

  Jack just shrugs his shoulders. In all honesty, it didn’t matter to Ruin nor Solar right now. Solar was crying, holding Aurora like his life depended on it.

  “My baby…my baby…” Solar sobbed, holding Aurora tightly. Ruin smiles, rubbing the top of Aurora’s head. “Hi there, dear…” Ruin whispered. “Welcome back home…”

[henry] either way, my mom and i aren’t involved in the highbrow art scene anymore. it wouldn’t have been easy for us to find someone and then get them on board. there are lots of artists and not a lot of gallery space. but you know people, you have some sway, you felt like you owed grant a favor, and he called it in for me, so that’s all unusually convenient.

[grant] hi! i'm sorry i'm just arriving now! not that you need an explanation, but i will give you one anyway. i had to go home and change clothes after my visit with therapist, and i hit rush hour traffic coming back this way. did i miss anything?

[grant] but it’s emotionally intense to go and look at each piece up close?

[henry] exactly. i could use another emotional support figure before doing it. i haven’t seen any of these paintings in almost a decade. i mean, yes, i saw them when i helped my mom pack up her house and when we transported the paintings here a few weeks ago, but that’s different. that’s just glancing in their direction.

[henry] you know me, i don’t cry, but if i could, i would. it feels like i'm saying goodbye to my dad a second time.

[grant] well, it's perfectly fine if you do cry.

[henry] also, i thanked cerise, but i should thank you for the billionth time, too. thank you for helping us save my dad’s art. we’ve had room to keep it all because we’ve had my dad’s studio room to store it, even after he passed, but my mom can’t take everything with her to the new house.

[soobin] we would have tried, but we don't have the space now, and we won't down the line either because we agreed to move in with her in korea.

[henry] and no one else we know has room to take anything other than a favorite piece or two, so it was sell it or try to display it somewhere. you know all this, though.

[grant] ah now, we couldn’t sell it, could we? your dad was fond of ranting about the "evils" of private collecting.

[henry] right. my mom briefly considered it, but it felt wrong. he really was a big believer in ��art is for the public.” she also considered just renting some kind of space to store it again, but that felt wrong, too. all these years, it was at least in the room where he loved to paint. shoving it all in a storage unit seems cruel. his work deserves more respect than that. it should be seen.

[henry] trying to get it displayed was the dream, but it felt entirely like a pipe dream for a while. so, yeah, thanks for being on the same page about it and doing what you could to make the dream come true.

[grant] you don’t have to thank me. i know how terribly it hurts to lose the last reminders you have of someone you love. i want you to have his art preserved.

Another reason for why I think Ginger should be part of the pink squad is because of Bribelle. So, imagine:

After THD Cupid, Hopper & Briar had so much fun together that they become the pink squad we know and love. They plan parties and outings and become not necessarily intimate friends, but they are a recurring group of friends.

When planning parties they usually ask Cedar for help with decorations, and Melody to get involved because of the music but somehow never seem to spare costs when it comes to food by asking ginger. She has even gone to some of the parties but feels weird about them not asking her for help. This obviously makes her be more self-deprecating than she already is.

Then one day, someone knocks on her door. She opens it and sees Hopper & Briar. Initial surprise about having her crush at her door is rapidly turned into disappointment and before they even start to speak she says “Melody is out right now but I’ll tell her you guys were searching for her.” Briar tells her they actually wanted to talk to her. The bakery they had hired for that nights part had to cancel on them and now they are in a desperate situation. She asks Ginger for her help at the kitchen for an upcoming party and after getting elbowed by Briar, Hopper even mentions that they could shoot some footage for Spells Kitchen while working.

Ginger is surprised but very excited! She agrees! While baking and cooking together Cupid quickly catches up on her crush and this makes her try to befriend Ginger a bit because she too knows what it’s like to be in an unrequited love triangle.

The party is a success and much to Ginger’s delight, they add her to the Pink Squad group chat! She finally has people who actually want to spend time with her! Sure she loves Cerise but the girl is so reserved it makes Ginger feel a bit guilty. And she and Melody get on amazingly but they don’t hang out often. It’s so cool to be part of something!

Once while baking with Briar she even gets to bond with her a bit. When Briar confesses they didn’t ask her at first because she felt that Ginger didn’t like her, it makes her feel guilty. She knows a part of that is true but it’s not like she had any valid reasons for it. And sure, she is still jealous whenever she sees Hopper drool over Briar, but that’s not Briar’s fault.

The four of them are getting alone really well and Ginger feels like she has found her place.

And then. Briar starts taking Fay to their outings.

Now, Fay is not being mean (well not as mean as she usually is), but it still intimidates Ginger a lot. Until now Faybelle mostly ignores her, sometimes giving her mean looks. She is terrified of Faybelle trying to tell the others about her crush on Hopper AGAIN and the possibility she could lose her new found friendships over the awkwardness it would cause.

Briar & Faybelle aren’t together yet but it’s obvious to all other members of the pink squad that something is going on. If not, why is Faybelle being so well mannered and sociable? Why does Briar light up like a firework every time the fairy comes around?

And Ginger feels terrible. Not only does she have to hear Hopper cry over his love and devotion for the fair Briar Beauty while having to hide her own irritation but there’s also a strange type of knot in her throat whenever she pictures Faybelle & Briar smiling and giggling.

Why is it that they all prefer Briar over her? Why am I not enough? Why am I not enough to be a friend worth keeping? Why am I not enough to be invited to be part of the group unless ultimately necessary? Will they leave me if Faybelle starts talking?

A her anxieties and fears come crushing back to her and all this just because her former bffa who suddenly started finding delight in tormenting her is dating her crush’s crush!

And obviously her anger directs not only against herself, but also a bit against Briar, even if she doesn’t let her know.

Ginger starts hanging out less with the group. Now she is only rarely available when the others want to go for a Hocus Latte or window shopping.

Then, out of nowhere, she gets a text from Briar. A location at a coffee shop and the words “be there aesop it’s an emergency!” When Ginger arrives at Briar’s location she realises she has been set up. Hopper & Cupid are there as well. Faybelle is nowhere in sight.

While Hopper & Cupid go line up for their food and drinks Briar digs into whatever has been eating at Ginger. Ginger remains vague about it but mentions Briar spending a lot of time with Faybelle. Briar blushes and promptly changes the topic once Hopper & Cupid come back.

When they all return to school, after a surprisingly nice evening, Briar tells Hopper & Cupid to go ahead because she and Ginger need to talk about an assignment. They don’t talk about any assignment. Instead they stay up till late and have a very long talk. Ginger ends up confessing some of her fears. She doesn’t tell her about her crush on Hopper but she is quite honest about overall feeling like a disposable member of the group, being afraid of Fay because of their past history and feeling kind of inferior towards Briar because of it. Briar tells her she has nothing to fear, she takes both of her hands in hers and gives them a squeeze before telling Ginger that she is part of the gang and Faybelle won’t change that. They walk back together, arm in arm, Briar leaves Ginger at her dorm. It’s late, already past curfew and Ginger tells her if she wants to she can sleep at her and Melodys room because she doesn’t want her to get in trouble. Briar tells her she’ll go back to her dorm “just don’t tell anyone about our date tonight *wink*”. Briar leaves. Ginger feels different.

I like how good of a mystery it is if Aglae is Cerise or not. Same voice actress in French, but that doesn't prove it since said voice actress voices Kagami, too.

Aglae acts suspicious and talks alot like Cerise? That can easily just turn out to be proof that acting and speaking this way isn't what makes Cerise evil.

Cerise's silhouette was shown for 10 seconds, and in her lair, right after we see Aglae in the nursery with Adrien and Marinette? In hindsight it could still just be played off to have been a trick to misdirect the audience into thinking she's not Aglae by quick cutting forward in time a bit, which we know is the case anyway for the Adrinette scene afterwards.

The only thing making me doubt it is that it's the 10-seconds Cerise moment that then fades to black, which normally indicates a time jump. The natural flow of scene direction conveys that the jump happened afterwards, so the Cerise scene happens at the same time as the Adrinette & Aglae scene. But I can see it happening that, for the first episode, the show would sacrifice the narrative flow for this moment when watched with hindsight.

I wouldn't call it GREAT storytelling to do this, but since it's episode ONE, I can see it being the case. In any other episode? No, you absolutely shouldn't do that. But for episode ONE, it's a possibility, in my opinion.

Description: Cerise is a sacred word for you and Gojo. It means peace or truce. It cancels any grudge out and it forces you to talk. Gojo is the king of using Cerise ;)

Gojo can’t stand when you give him the silent treatment, because when you do, everything about you goes silent. You silence his notifications so when he texts you, you don’t know it until you manually look at your messages. Even then, you look at the message and don’t respond. It’s usually something along the lines of:

You still mad 🥹

To which you don’t respond because he’s only on the couch across the room. You can feel his eyes watching you, but you refuse to look up at him. So you turn your screen off and continue what you were doing previously.

Gojo knows how to get you to talk. It’s very simple, but he wants to see if you’ll ever reach out first during these bouts of annoyance.

When he notices that you’re not doing much, he decides that it’s time to turn on the charm.

You’re finishing washing some dishes, when he comes up behind you. He doesn’t get close enough to touch you, but enough so that you can hear him even if he’s whispering.

“Cerise.” The word comes out smoothly, and his lips curl into a sly smile as soon as he hears you sigh.

“God, what, Satoru?” You throw the dishrag you had in your hands, and turn to look at him. You had to bite the inside of your cheek just so that you wouldn’t mirror the smile on his face once you saw him.

“You can’t break a promise we’ve followed through with for years. Sorry, but I didn’t make the rules. You know what I did do, though? I said cerise, so now you have to talk to me.”

He was unbearable, yet so damn lovable with his prideful smile.

Cerise, or the French word for cherry, was a word you and Gojo decided was made for truces. When you were just dating, he invited you over to spend the night in his apartment one day. He told you to make yourself at home, and allowed you to rummage through his cabinets and rooms.

He forgot something in his car so he went to go get it, leaving you alone for a maximum of four minutes. In those four minutes, you found a bag of cherries that was almost empty. All but three cherries remained, so you thought finishing them and tossing the bag would help him make room for more groceries. Gojo came back and caught you red handed, his jaw dropping.

“You know the French word for cherry is cerise?” You read the translations in Spanish and French, not noticing that Gojo was having a meltdown and was on his knees. You tossed the bag after popping the last one in your mouth, the stem thrown in the trash after.

“‘toru?” You call, seeing him on the floor. You squat down to his level, still making your way around the pit of the cherry, the sweetness staining your tongue.

“I wanted those cherries. Those were mine,” he mumbles, weakly.

“Please, don’t cry.” You pat his fluffy hair.

He sits up and looks at you in confusion. “I’m not crying.”

“Oh, good. So, the French word for cherry is cerise.” You put an emphasis on the word to make it sound even more regal.

He was so bummed, and spent a good ten minutes not talking to you, huffing and whipping his head in the opposite direction of you whenever you looked at him, like a child.

You couldn’t stand another minute of him ignoring you, so you scrambled into his lap, and tried to catch his attention.

“Baby, baby, baby~” you poked his cheeks, repeatedly. “‘toru, my pretty boy, i’m sorry.” You almost got him to smile with that. You covered him in kisses, his neck, his cheeks, but when you went for his lips, he sucked them in and made them disappear.

When all failed, you went for the last resort.

“Cerise,” you said, sounding wise. “Cerise,” you repeated, adding a dramatic hand in mid-air. “Did you know cerise is the French word for cherry? Also, did you know cerise is cerise?”

Gojo cracked, his shoulders shaking as he chuckled at your ridiculous rambling about this word you found on a bag of cherries. It was so easy for him to forgive you after that. You got him to laugh, and you promised that the next time you spent the night, you would bring him another bag of cherries.

“Cerise is…?” He says, waiting for you to finish his sentence.

“…the French word for cherry.” You crack a grin, walking towards him. “I hate you.”

“No, you don’t. Cerise is our live, laugh, love.”

You chuckled as you buried your face in his chest.

About the London Special, why didn't Ladybug swap the notebook out for a plain one? There's clearly a lot of writing inside, so keep it to learn more about the new butterfly holder and take said information away from them. It looked like everything except for "Ladybug = Marinette Dupain-Cheng" was in code (but could be an animation shortcut for Doylist reason) which is an even bigger reason to keep it away from Cerise because there could've been clues to Marinette's identity with the "LB = MDC" as bait to see if Ladybug would try to stop her from learning the secrets that don't immediately effect Marinette's life.

Bunnix had opened a portal to Marinette's room to get a cotton bud and pen, why not open a portal to somewhere with a matching empty notebook, give Cerise the empty one, then keep the original to decode what's written to figure out who Cerise is?

If the argument was to show Cerise losing to Ladybug because she altered the final sentence, wouldn't an empty notebook cause an even bigger breakdown as she realises Ladybug either erased all her work or kept the original notebook for herself. I believe she'd be even more stressed as she thinks it's only a matter of time before the heroes uncover her secrets and steal the butterfly miraculous from her.

But if the writers went that direction, they couldn't have Marinette smugly rub her victory in Cerise's face by tossing away the only lead she has to the oh so dangerous new butterfly holder.

Also, if they had to keep "only one notebook", why not erase everything that's written? Ladybug was in the burrow where time is frozen. Just use the hand sanitizer to make all the words unreadable then give it back, Cerise immediately knew it was tampered with, why not go all out with the tampering to stop her getting any sort of upper hand? Ladybug was really short sighted when she handled her plan with the notebook.
