“The PS4 version of LittleBigPlanet leaves the PlayStation Store permanently on October 31, with all its DLC going with it, Sony said.
It’s worth noting that if you already own LittleBigPlanet 3 or buy it before October 31, you can continue to play after this point. Similarly, if you have downloaded LittleBigPlanet 3 via PlayStation Plus, you will still be able to play it after October 31.
‘After 10 years of playing, creating, and sharing content in LittleBigPlanet 3, the game and our entire range of LittleBigPlanet DLC will be removed from the PlayStation Store on October 31st 2024,’ read a statement published to X/Twitter.
‘This is a friendly heads-up that if anyone in the community or any newcomers still wish to own a digital copy of LittleBigPlanet 3 or any LittleBigPlanet DLC currently available for purchase — this is your last chance to do so.’”

Introducing Maz Games!!!
Inspired by various things such as DnD and other (tt)rpgs, video games, anime, various videos by “Magic the Noah” on youtube, and more!
“Maz Games” have a set of base game rules that are used for several individual games. This is much like how DnD has different campaigns and/or oneshots, but they all use the same base rule set.
Unlike DnD, Maz Games are light on rules, and the rules are inherently, as intended by the creator, loose and flexible. If it will make the game more fun to disregard or change a rule in one specific instance, that’s what you do! Like DnD, there is a Host/Game Master, who plans the game(s) and has the final word. Then there are players, who explore, or even explode, their way through the game. (Fireball!!!)
Most Games will have less plot, story, and character interaction style roleplay than what you might expect from DnD. in this it is a bit more like board games, or some rpg video games.
My current plan is for individual games to take no more than two hours. There may be stories that take multiple sessions, but currently I'm focusing on things that should be able to be completed in one sitting.
Maz games are intended to be at least somewhat chaotic, with the often variable rules, and rolls being made to decide the outcome and intensity of said outcome in many cases. Asking “can I do/try this?” is encouraged. The main goal of Maz Games is for everyone participating to have fun!
If this sounds interesting to you, let me know! I have a Discord Server set up for this with more details and space for critique.

The packaging really makes no sense. They stole art from the cover of a PPG game and used it for the packaging, kept the game rating and game publisher’s name, and the character this toy is based on has nothing to do with the franchise.
I’m not sure if this is a virtual pet or a game, and the character it’s based on is Nakamura-kun from Angel Blue. There is another character called Hana, and while she is yellow and looks like Nakamura, the mouth and ears are different.

Sony has shown that they have the ability to delete your own digital copies of games from your own console without your consent. And I don't just mean they take it down from the store, I mean they can literally go into your Playstation and just uninstall your shit and look at everything you have on the console.
The PS5 Pro has no disc drive out the box, so no physical. Only digital.
Think about this.

i’m a console/handheld collector, and i’m all the sudden started to get SO hooked on the ps3 🙏
i got it last christmas and my mom accidentally bought the version that can’t play ps2 games as well (but i probably would’ve made the same mistake as her becus i couldn’t tell at first either so no hate) so originally i was a little bummed out. but dude, honestly i don’t even need that now. the digital library on the psn store alone is so extensive that it amazes me, carrying tons of old sega, ps1, and third party games for me to discover. of course these do cost money and some people would definitely tell me to just mod them myself. i see their point in saving money, however it’s all about the experience for me (plus i don’t think i have a proper computer for that anyway). i also know most of the sega ones are going away (a real shame) so that’s why i’m trying to purchase as many as i can currently.
and the menus??!?! gorgeous. the purchasable themes and just the standard one too. the themes are so thought out and intricate. only have a couple so far (and they’re mostly sonic related) but i can just tell how creative each and every one is from the consistency. my only complaint is that there’s no ambient music like the ps4.
i also just saw a prototype of the ps3 when i was scrolling on here and that design looks badass too. it’s like chrome goddamn 😭 prob not as practical or iconic as the one we got but still also incredible in its own way.
i never owned any playstations growing up, i was strictly nintendo for awhile but man. is it possible to be nostalgic for something that you’ve never had previously lol cus that’s what i’m feelin.
i also have a ps4 that i got a couple months before my ps3, and i’m lowkey embarrassed to admit that i don’t use it nearly as much as my ps3. idk my brain just loves how much personality this thing oozes. my wifi also isn’t great and like never works with my ps4 so i can’t really use it for those purposes anyway. i still do wanna get a ps2 tho eventually tho. i have a psp and a ps1 (kinda..not technically mine but i can use it) as well. psp is up there for me, but out of all that i own so far ps3 definitely still manages to be my fav.
…is this just a long winded way of saying i have too much of a skill issue (and also depression linked motivational issues) to actually play the many unfinished games scattered across my living room and i would rather gush at the aesthetics of something for hours on end? maybe… 😋
to end this: if anyone out there is an active ps3 user and wants to be my friend my username is foremelodyz 👉👈

Found this article today, thought it might be helpful for others. The site tries to force you to sign in to read it, but you can circumvent this if you use the duck duck go browser. I recently dusted off my little brother's Xbox 360 and loaded up to see what games we had installed, feeling a bit foolish that I hadn't done so sooner considering the recent store closure. Thankfully, most of the 360 games I like are already in our collection. Still - glad to know there's a workaround in case I find any new digital 360 games I want in the future.

Exploring the Digital Transformation of Your Favorite Games
The digital transformation of gaming is not just a trend; it's a revolution that's reshaping how we play, share, and enjoy games. From the tactile pleasure of board pieces and cards to the click-and-drag simplicity of digital interfaces, this transformation has touched every aspect of the gaming world. Today, we delve into how traditional games, cherished for generations, are making the leap into the digital era, with a special focus on the journey of classic games like Ludo. Join us as we explore what digital transformation means for these games and what players can expect from this new chapter in gaming.
Understanding Digital Transformation in Gaming
Digital transformation in gaming refers to the process of taking traditional game formats and adapting them for digital platforms. This evolution brings several benefits, including greater accessibility, the ability to play with friends and strangers across the globe, and innovative gameplay features that were previously unimaginable. However, this transition also presents challenges, such as maintaining the essence and joy of the original game while introducing new digital elements. The importance of digital transformation lies in its potential to breathe new life into classic games, ensuring they continue to be played and loved in a rapidly changing digital world.
Popular Traditional Games Going Digital
Several traditional games have successfully made the jump to digital, with Ludo standing out as a prime example. The digital versions of these games often enhance gameplay with features like online multiplayer modes, leaderboards, and in-game challenges, making them more engaging for players. The benefits of digital formats are plentiful, including convenience, improved accessibility, and the introduction of new gameplay experiences that honor the spirit of the original games.
Play Ludo online on platforms like Zupee & win cash at the same time! Yes, you heard it right, Zupee offers 4 variations of Ludo games from dice to dice-less format with time based & move based games and the concept of winning real cash by participating in various tournaments and scoring high.
Case Study: Digital Transformation of Ludo
Ludo, a game that has been a staple of family gatherings and friendly get-togethers, has experienced a remarkable transformation in the digital age. The digital version of Ludo includes features like online multiplayer, private rooms to play with friends, and various game modes that add depth and variety to the classic gameplay. This digital transition has not only made Ludo more accessible to a wider audience but has also increased its popularity, introducing it to a new generation of players. The impact of this transformation showcases the potential of digital platforms to rejuvenate traditional games.
Exploring New Gaming Experiences
The digital transformation of gaming opens up a world of innovative experiences. New gameplay mechanics, interactive storylines, and enhanced graphics are just the beginning. Digital platforms offer a sandbox for creativity, allowing developers to push the boundaries of traditional games and introduce players to new ways of experiencing their favorite classics. This evolution is exciting for the gaming community, offering fresh challenges and novel experiences within familiar frameworks.
Future Trends in Digital Gaming
The future of digital gaming holds incredible potential. As technology advances, we can expect to see even more immersive and interactive digital games. The focus will likely be on enhancing social connectivity within games, improving accessibility, and introducing more personalized gameplay experiences. However, this future also presents challenges, such as ensuring digital games remain inclusive and maintaining the balance between innovation and the essence of traditional gameplay. Despite these challenges, the future of digital gaming looks bright, promising a world of new possibilities for players and developers alike.
Final Verdict
The digital transformation of gaming is a testament to the adaptability and enduring appeal of traditional games. As we've seen with the example of Ludo, this journey can rejuvenate classics, making them more accessible and engaging for everyone. As gamers, we have much to look forward to and many reasons to embrace digital versions of our favorite games. The future of digital gaming is not just about technology; it's about the memories we create and the connections we share, no matter the platform.
