What was the destiel wedding?

After November 2020. The actors for ellen (owner of the roadhouse) and ash (guy who hung out at the roadhouse all the time) starting RP-ing running the roadhouse bar on twitter. Quote tweeting each other with stuff like dammit ash I told you we needed more limes! Etc etc. it was cute and silly. As we approached the week of February 14th 2021. Their roleplaying started talking about how they had a Big Event coming up. And how they needed to get pink and white balloons. Cake. Champagne. Etc. people went. Oh destiel wedding? Destiel wedding tonight queen? Destiel wedding? Only to get to Feb 14th and for the actors to both go You’re crazy we didn’t say ANYTHING about a destiel wedding anyway here’s my Etsy you can buy crystals off of. But at this point people had already started wedding posting. And destiel trended on twitter above royal baby announcement. So everyone went sad well we’re marrying them anyway and spent the day wedding posting. There were people making like mock up wedding invitations guest lists catering lists arguments over color scheme and flowers. There was an ensuing project where someone made post cards + letters from their honey moon road trip. There is a destiel wedding album on google drive which is mostly art but the dash was nonstop text posts about what was happening at the wedding what crowley and rowena claire jack Mary etc were doing at it. I think I have a tag called #wedding posting. But if you go to any supernatural blog archive for February 14th 2021 you will see all this. Which is how we arrive at. I’m pretty sure I know where you wanted this to go, but our muse had other ideas. :D

Dean would rather be doing anything other than what he’s about to do. He hates blind dates. Hates them. He doesn’t need to go on a blind date. He can get men or women all by himself, thanks. He’s always been able to. So what in the fuck was Sam doing setting him up with someone who sounded like the polar opposite of anyone Dean would even look twice at? In fact, the way that Sam’s sales pitch had basically been to describe his own nerdy self, only with blue eyes and hair of a reasonable length.

On his way to the restaurant, Dean entertains himself by listing off all the things he’d rather be doing than going on a blind date. 1) Root canal, 2) severe head injury, 3) going to the dentist, 4) going to the proctologist, 5) going to the ballet, 6) listening to opera, 7) licking a payphone, 8) setting himself on fire, 9) spiders, 10) setting Sam on fire, 11) going back undercover for another two years with the mob. 

He could always back out and Sam would understand. “Hey, Sam, the trials have only just started and some people haven’t been caught, so it’s likely that someone’s out to get me. My safety is more important than my social life, right?”

These thoughts comfort him as he belligerently hands off the keys to the Impala to some under aged looking kid who has no idea what will happen to him if he so much as scratches the clear coat. Of course, Dean goes ahead and tells the kid what will happen because it’s important to be clear with our expectations, isn’t it?

Satisfied that he’s put the Fear of Winchester into the kid, he bangs into the way overpriced steakhouse (at least he’s getting a steak from this bullshit), and glares at the hostess. “I’m waiting for someone called James Milton. Has he arrived yet?”

The hostess’ professional smile doesn’t dip for even a second. She points into the dining room. By the windows are rows of two person tables with ambiance. Dean hates ambiance. But. He doesn’t hate the guy who stands up quickly from the furthest table with a small, nerdy little wave. He’s got on an expensive looking navy suit that would cut an impressive figure if not for the backwards tie that the guy hastily attempts to smooth down and set right as Dean approaches.

He holds his hand out and Dean notes the long fingers with about a dozen filthy thoughts galloping through his head. He loves his brain. The handshake is firm on both ends.

“Thank you for coming, Dean,” James says.

“Yeah, no, happy to, Jimmy,” Dean lies while admitting that the lie is less potent now than it would have been five minutes ago.

James gestures. “Please sit.”

Dean chuckles. “Is this a job interview or a date?”

Looking decidedly pink on the ears, James plops back into his chair. “I apologize. I’m… I’m sure Sam told you already that my biggest character flaw is that I’m terrible with people.”

“He might have mentioned it,” Dean says breezily, picking up the… oh, for fuck’s sake, wine list?! The steakhouse doesn’t have beer? That’s goddamn blasphemy.

James is obviously a mind reader because he plucks the menu out of Dean’s hand and says, “this is going to sound pretentious,” he warns and Dean scowls. “This place pairs with a microbrewery down the street. I swear their beer is amazing.”

Dean groans. 

Jimmy laughs. “Just trust me! I wouldn’t lead you wrong.”

Dean glances up from the much better steak menu, taking in Jimmy’s open smile and raised eyebrow. He doesn’t trust him because Dean is a cop and inherently doesn’t trust anyone, but he does inherently want to rip the guy’s clothes off. Maybe keep the tie, though. It’s hilariously sexy all tangled up. And not at all due to his libido, he allows James to order the beer. 

Dinner turns out to be frustratingly awesome. Jimmy isn’t a huge talker, much like Dean, but when they do converse, he’s sharp, deadpan, incredibly dry. Dean loves that. He also loves that there’s nothing uncomfortable about the silences.

All in all, dinner goes off without a hitch. It’s gone so well that Dean doesn’t so much as hesitate to order coffee and dessert. Not a big deal, right? The food was incredible, over priced or not, so why not have a little bit more?

Of course, that’s when it all goes to hell.

Dean glances out the window, taking in the nightlife. He doesn’t notice right away, but something tickles the hairs on the back of his neck. His eyes narrow. He’s barely whispered, “shit!” when he’s hit by a solid wall while the less solid glass wall beside them shatters.

Jimmy upturns the table and scrambles behind it, dragging Dean with him. “Stay down,” he orders sharply. He reaches into his jacket and draws out a gun.

Dean’s blood runs cold. Someone really is out to kill him. Again. “Who the hell are you?” he demands, grabbing his own sidearm from his shoulder holster.

“Someone who hates being right about what would happen using you as bait to draw out those assassins the mob has had after you,” Jimmy growls.

Dean clicks the safety off his gun and checks the clip. “And here I thought you were actually sucked in by my pretty face.”

Jimmy actually pauses then. He stares at Dean. He grins. “I was.” He holds his hand out to shake again. “Castiel Novak, FBI. I’ll be your handler for the foreseeable future now that we know lots of people are trying to kill you.”

Dean winks. “Dude, you better not be lying about any of that, ‘cause you ‘n me could have an awesome time.” He doesn’t wait to see Castiel’s expression as he glances over the table to return fire while they wait for backup, but Castiel’s incongruous laugh makes it all worthwhile.

“Agreed.”

FAQ

What is a BigBang/MiniBang?

A big bang is an event where artists and authors coordinate to create artworks and fics that go together. Details vary, but basically, after signups, a bang will start with authors planning and starting to write their fics for the bang. Some time into the event, “art claims” happen - the event coordinators make fic information (summaries, warnings, etc) available to all registered artists, and the artists “claim” the fics they want to make art for, and work on the required art pieces until the scheduled posting dates. 

I signed up as X, but now I want to sign up as Y (too)

Contact us at spnsabrielbang@gmail.com or send us an ask and we’ll get that updated for you. However, if it’s too late in the bang (e.g. if artists have already been assigned), you will not be able to change what you signed up as.

Anyone can participate in this event! However, please note there are some content restrictions for participants, detailed under the What Can’t You Submit? and Underaged Participants sections of this document.

Yes, but only if both you and your writer are 18+ and the writer approves it.

Can I co-write a fic?

You can indeed, you just have to get your co-author’s name and include that when you sign up - or, if you’ve already signed up, email us at spnsabrielbang@gmail.com, or send us an ask! You only have a limited time to complete this; we won’t accept co-author requests after the second check-in.

How many artworks can I create/how many fics can I claim?

As many as you want! Be cautious when choosing fics, though - you’ll be expected to meet deadlines with all of your artworks.

Almost smutty Destiel fic with Dean being dramatic af. 570 words.

“I want you in me,” Dean stated.

“Dean, I already have a vessel.”

Dean lowered his head to quickly hide his blush. He tried to focus on his tablet that was in front of him. What was he researching again? God, he didn’t know. How could he when Castiel was sitting on the table beside him and his massive thighs were right there? And holy shit, the fact that he was stronger than a human, and he had been flipping through a book with those beautiful hands, and—

Right. Focus.

Well, that wasn’t focusing.

Dean rubbed at the back of his neck. “Uh, that’s not really what I meant.”

Castiel closed his book, and twisted to eye him, putting all his attention on him. Dean didn’t know if he was going to melt or explode on the spot from this.

“What did you mean?” he asked.

Dean coughed, and the heat in his cheeks grew exponentially. If he kept this up he’d burst.

“You know, like um… sex.”

“Then why didn’t you just say so?”

“I did.”

“No, you said you wanted me in you. I’m an angel. That can be taken in many ways. As lovely and beautiful as your body is I think I’ll stick with what I have.”

Okay, yeah, now he was going to blow, blood everywhere. Fuck. Sweat beaded on his forehead and along his neck.

“You… you think I’m lovely? Lovely. That’s so… Cas, are you a hopeless romantic?”

“A what?”

Dean waved his hands in the air as if to get rid of the whole idea. “You know what? Never mind. Look, I’m—I’m asking you for sex. Do you…?”

Castiel leaned in, putting a hand to the side of Dean’s head, thumb caressing his cheekbone. Dean’s mouth fell open from the touch, from Castiel being over him, from those sharp blue eyes looking at him like he knew every single piece of him.

Cas’ voice was low, his thighs shifting, as he said, “I love being in you, Dean.”

Urged on by those words, Dean caressed Cas’ thigh, hand going higher and higher, towards the beautiful line of his hip, just teasing near his pelvis.

Next thing he knew Cas was kissing him, his lips warm and soft, and Dean was glad he was sitting down because he was sure he would’ve collapsed from it. The kiss was hard, passionate, like Cas was trying to be part of all Dean was just through his mouth. Dean wanted more. He leaned in, up, giving himself to him.

Cas gripped his head, and then a hand ran down to his chest, grasping at his shirt. Dean was already palming Cas in between his legs.

When they pulled apart, Dean was panting, staring at Cas, eyes hot.

“Bedroom?” he asked.

“Bedroom,” Castiel agreed.

He got off the table and grasped Dean’s arm. Dean held on tight, arm wrapped around him. Hell, he was sure he needed him to stand up, because already the hot tingling in his lips was rushing down to his core, wrapping around his pelvis with wanton promises. His mind conjured up images of what was to come, of how Cas would lay him out and take him. God, he was so ready for this.

Cas pushed Dean into his room, already taking his coat off, and Dean went for Cas’ tie.
