sometimes i think i'm pretty good at guessing the gender of a eurasier but i had to dig through finnish pedigrees to confirm that these are in fact three females!

just like people dogs show dimorphism on a spectrum with tons of variety (and desexing can have a huge sway). i'd say the most reliable demographic of dogs whose gender can be identified just by face are titled showdogs who a) are always intact and b) have had several judges deem them as looking "correct" for their respective gender

There are plenty of borzoi in Australia tho! Just like any breed, they acclimate to the temperature around them. They’re not as an extremely coated breed as the spitzes, and will grow more or less coat based on environment as well.

I love the way you write and FFS is my favourite fic of yours. It was very healing and comforting watching a character go through such a difficult mental health journey. It made me feel less alone. Ef has motivated me to keep going on because things can always get better.

I'm so glad you enjoy Falling Falling Stars, it was such a huge undertaking but it was so cathartic even writing it and sharing it at the time, I think it's been pretty humbling honestly that so many folks have brought so much of themselves and their lives to this story, and connect with it and the characters in it.

Efnisien is pretty awesome as a character as a vehicle of 'it sucks and you might even have done bad things but you're still allowed to have good things and you can always improve / better yourself' etc. I used to get a few 'I've never done anything like Efnisien but I relate to him' and my thoughts on that have always been that many of us know what it's like to feel like the worst, even if we've relatively never done anything that bad at all. And it's hard to recover from that feeling, but...perhaps seeing how someone who has been literally the worst is doing it might help.

We all deserve a redemption narrative, even the people who didn't need redeeming in the first place.

although the association with tim burton, the erasure of thematic ideas, and the disappearing autonomy of female characters are all reasons the move version of Sweeney Todd is not as nearly as good as the original musical, there's the additional factor of Mrs. Lovett just in general. The movie takes the stance of "oh maybe if she wasn't so lonely and a widower and had sex sometimes she'd be normal :(" whereas the play makes it very clear, "no, this woman is having extremely kinky sex. she is getting dicked down on the regular. medicine has yet to discover what is wrong with her but at least it's not that"

Im not sure if it's something quite so clearly defined. As a phrase it comes out of loverdyke, and both came from a dyke-ification of the concept of loverboy. Very much a thing of wanting to play around in the visual and social identifiers of romantic love, but as an aesthetic and more as a sort of roleplay or mask rather than explicitly wanting the trappings of romantic (monogamous) love.

Definitely related to lovecore aesthetics, which I very much enjoy.

I think generally when people use it they're going more for puppy-love/commodified valentines aesthetics but I'm meaning it more in the way of I want to explore different conceptions of love and romance w ppl, with an explicitly butch twist.

My current knight-errant schtick is definitely a part of this, I'm interested in exploring chivalric romance from an explicitly sapphic perspective. Don quixote with a strap instead of a lance. Lancelot and Guinevere but they're both dykes.
