what's a loverbutch

Im not sure if it's something quite so clearly defined. As a phrase it comes out of loverdyke, and both came from a dyke-ification of the concept of loverboy. Very much a thing of wanting to play around in the visual and social identifiers of romantic love, but as an aesthetic and more as a sort of roleplay or mask rather than explicitly wanting the trappings of romantic (monogamous) love.

Definitely related to lovecore aesthetics, which I very much enjoy.

I think generally when people use it they're going more for puppy-love/commodified valentines aesthetics but I'm meaning it more in the way of I want to explore different conceptions of love and romance w ppl, with an explicitly butch twist.

My current knight-errant schtick is definitely a part of this, I'm interested in exploring chivalric romance from an explicitly sapphic perspective. Don quixote with a strap instead of a lance. Lancelot and Guinevere but they're both dykes.

🎀 - how did you meet your darling?

An excuse to ramble about My Goddess?! And an ask about specifically my favorite story?!! Yes please! Okay so. Our meeting was a really weird butterfly affect situation that needs some context. At the time, I had just moved in with my longterm partner at that time because I was running away from home (this actually matters I swear, it just requires some trauma dumping).

I had just my main blog at the time and was too scared to make original posts much because of my parents but since I had finally moved out I started creating more and pushing my art out more, as my parents werent there to convince me that strangers were the literal devil, which led to me creating a lovecore themed plague doctor named Doctor Valentine.

I did some mild ask blog type art where someone I ended up becoming friends with went back and forth for a while. We became mutuals, DMed a bit, and eventually I developed a crush on him because uh, other trauma dump, my long term partner I had JUST moved in with, cheated on me and started abusing me. This new person I have a crush on will be referred to as Void Bitch for reasons.

Me and Void Bitch start going back and forth for a while, we exchange discords and I start getting possessive of them. They're gone most of the day so this kinda sucks but whatevs it wasnt super strong favorite person syndrome as I call it lol. I end up asking them what they're doing most of the day. They're on call with their boyfriend on a pixelmon minecraft server. Welp, that crush needs to take a back seat but I ended up asking if I could join the pixelmon server and accompanying discord server.

First day on, I join Void Bitch, their boyfriend, and one other person on call at the time while abusive ex is out at work. This new person I know nothing about asks me to battle after a little while with my new team I had just made. She promptly sweeps my ass with a shiny eevee and ONLY a singular shiny eevee.

After that we became really close friends. She had her base set up in this cave off of spawn she called the Friend Cave. Me and her would hang out in this one rainbow colored room she called the therapy room often and just talk about life. She was the one who convinced me I needed to leave my shitty at the time partner. She helped me through some of the worst parts of my life. And once I dumped my at the time partner, I got together with her. To no ones surprise, this person I got with was My Goddess. We've been together for four years and deeply in love ever since.

There's a lot more to that story, like why Void Bitch is Void Bitch, and also his boyfriend, and also my ex, and also somehow running into a different yandere while persuing My Goddess etc etc but thats as short as I can make this story lol.

It's changed a lot since I first started this blog but I'm definitely a worshipping (obviously) dependent yan and I'd also say protective with some monopoly traits. Worshipping is the main one though. I treat loving My Goddess like a legit religion sometimes. She eats it up though <3

💘 - do you have a future plan for you and your darling?

Yes!!! So many!!! We're literally planning our wedding right now! It's uh, not actually going to happen for quite some time, but we've basically both agreed right now it's just a race to whoever proposes first. I already have a ring picked out I just am shit fucking broke and cant actually afford it.

We're planning a trip for her to come visit me up where I live, in June for our birthdays and anniversary. I may go see her instead because it could be a longer trip if I fly to her, but there's more things to do where I live since I live in the heart of a major city.

We don't have much else actually in the works. I'm going to the free wedding expos in the area and she's working hard to graduate college. We're in a weird lull of plans right now because she's also moving out of her parents and in with some friends right now.

alright this is gonna be messy and im not gonna autocorrect/proofread it but heres the essay on why i loved 2020.... While 2020 was, pretty objectively, one of the worst years for modern humanity. The obvious virus and all its, various strands of natural disasters, impending war threat, gender reveal parties, you get the gist. But i would love to just... look back and see how it treated me. See how it ran :). January/Febuary/March - the months are bunched up cause the least amount of stuff happened in them, but thats not to say that the stuff wasnt... good!!!! After all I met my first online friend (that im still friends with of course) @smilez4milez..! I cannot believe you withstood me for so long tbh........... youve been here the whole time!!!! thats obviously an achievemnt!!! Our circumstances for our meeting do not matter... trust me. April - Got my gender transed and i then id’d as demigirl!! and also had a birthday, i turned a whole year..... i believe this was also the time i... started using discord??? yeah, that sounds right :0) May/June - OOOH WEE DISK HOARD AAAAAAAAA. Ahem, Miles got me into Chuck E. Cheese and the Rock-Afire Explosion, i hold those special interests dear and close to my heart. Around the time i also made friends with @teamgay0tix (<3). Miles decided that he was gonna make an animatronic discord server. Titled the Robot Zone, Miles employed Sarah, Me, and another friendo named Teddy as the moderators. Not long after i met... so so many cool and epic people... uh off the top of my head @worthape, @bahrlee, @boredwiththislifetime, @retrowormz, @knave-woods, @verae. Not all of those were met in May/June but yknow gotta save time >:) and im sure im missing someone gdvhbuydhbdyh. WE UH RP’D AS CEC/RAE CHARACTERS!!!!! THAT WAS FUN :)!!!!!!! I DONT HAVE MUCH ELSE TO SAY AS MAY AND JUNE WERE SIMILAR MOTNHS IN TERMS OF FUN. SYHBDREYS. Oh and my laptop broke! So I was on my iPad for about 3 months!! Also my gender got transed AGAIN!!! I then-ID’d as genderfluid :o). July - HI CASPER @arcadecarpetz!!! THIS WAS THE MONTH WE FIRST MET!!! WE DO NOT TALK ABOUT THAT INTERACTION </3. I joined a certain discord server for a certain emoji blog we both happened to follow and... July was great i dunno why im being all stingy with the details etvfertyghdb August - Oh boy!! Otherwise not much actually happened. Oh and @verae I FUCKING LOVE YOU/p September - HA! Here is when I got my shiny new laptop :), and with it i also got into Clone High!! Started to also get into Yellow Submarine, a movie which, I enjoy :). And a certain yellow submarine insta post got me and @arcadecarpetz to meet again!!! Now we’re on much better terms!! heh-. This month I left the Robot Zone, no matter how much it hurt, I simply didn’t want to be there anymore. I had got way too into animatronics and I was... very... very... burnt out. The final days of this month were good, I rewatched Yellow Submarine after a 10-Year Hiatus. It was good! :) October - SPOOK!!! HA!!! -COUGH- So you know how The Beatles like broke up in 1970... yeah i got into one of the bands made after them.... Wings good. I made a few more drawings for arcadecasper that im especially proud of, uh... OH YEAH AND I MADE A KETCHUP PRIDE FLAG FOR EMPRESS!!!!!!!! It is also now my most popular post! Cool!/gen .Two of my friends approached me and said they got into the beatles because of me that was pretty swagchamp. November - All of my memories from this month are MUSH. i literally dont remember what happened <3... oh wait yeah we got hte evil man out of office... that was preddy epic... OH RIGHT DESTIEL- December - My favorite season!! The end of the year was pretty swell. It was like everything good that happened to me was settling, getting cozier, just... being better. I was just kinda supposed since your blog is lovecore. I have issues defining how I feel on the ace spectrum if that makes you feel any better, btw.

yeah I post a lot of lovecore stuff and I really enjoy the concept of romance and dating but then when it happens in my real life it doesn’t feel the same?

I mean first of all I have a very hard time distinguishing romantic vs platonic feelings. there are some people who are 100% platonic to me but then there are some people who I mostly view as friends who I still have romantic feelings for on occasion? which is weird and I don’t really know what to do with that, so that’s why I trying out new labels and trying to figure things out.

and also when I feel like I have mostly romantic feelings for someone, that can change very easily. and for no reason. like I’ll think I have a crush on someone and then, even if nothing happens, I’ll just get really tired/annoyed/frustrated/bored with them and the crush will go away. and that doesn’t really happen with my friends or when I’m talking to new people who I mostly view as platonic. sometimes the crush will come back but sometimes it doesn’t. and either way, it’s frustrating.

Its been a while!!! once again thank you so much everyone!! Even though I mostly reblog I'm glad I was able to bring love to you guys with this blog! Now on a more serious note, I have been slacking on my attention on what I reblog from and at this point on who’s following me too lol! So now I’ll say this
