ADHD tip for y'all that I've discovered:
First of all, use floss picks, it's less steps than floss and it's less work and less sensory bad
Second of all, get a *lot* and carry some in your purse, or another container you take with you everywhere. And just, floss your teeth whenever you feel like it? Like, there's no reason you need to floss in front of the bathroom sink. You can do it anywhere. I'll just be walking around the hardware store with a floss pick in my mouth now. Or like I have a snack and realize I got something stuck in my teeth and I realize I can get it out like instantly with a pick.
It's just like a fidget toy that cleans my teeth??? And bonus I get something I'm allowed to chew on afterwards when I feel bitey.
It has done wonders for my dental hygiene, like the dentist was *not* lying, your gums actually *do* stop bleeding if you floss regularly. I now floss more regularly than I brush my teeth it's amazing.
The one downside is you start to build up a lot of used floss picks on your person, so I keep a seperate bag for discards and I always break the string when I'm done so as to not confuse them, also also I have biodegredable ones made of like wheat something, so in the event I drop one (or rather forget I was holding one and walk away), it's at least not the *worst* thing I could be littering, especially chewed up with a broken string and a worn off point.

Song of the Day - Happy 50th Birthday to “Over-Nite Sensation”, the twelfth album from Frank Zappa and the Mothers of Invention, released September 7th, 1973.
As wonderfully weird as any Zappa creation, this album was arguably the most “accessible” of his stuff.
This track, “Montana” is just classic Zappa… bizarre… but flawlessly delivered…. A song about realizing a dream of becoming a dental floss tycoon in Montana….
Here with a grand group of sidefolk backing up the Mothers: Ian and Ruth Underwood doing their magical percussion and sax, Bruce Fowler on trombone, Sal Marquez on trumpet, Jean-Luc Ponty on violin, George Duke on synthesizer, and for backup singers, Tina Turner and the Ikettes…
The track has a a screaming good Zappa guitar solo… and the Tina and the Ikettes backup is surreally fabulous.
Saw most of this crew with Zappa and the Mothers perform this track, among other Zappa, in a live performance, a live midnight show at Atlanta’s Fox Theater, just after this came out… Hoooooo-eeeee what a show….
As strange as his music could be, Zappa truly was a genius, and the music is tight as can be…
This album is one which, like sometimes happened back in the era of record albums, really deserves to be heard in one fell swoop… it is all one piece really…. one mood… like great albums used to be…
But if we’re picking only one tune, this is the one… fun crazy Zappa delight….

Oh my goodness. I’m sorry I have a life, unlike you all.
I can’t lay in bed or sit on my couch all day watching a medical drama or scrolling through Instagram to post something “aesthetic” on my story.
No, I didn't get a job. Believe it or not you don’t need one to be a productive member of society. Simply existing and voicing your opinion is enough. And I’ve been doing plenty of that.
No you cannot follow me anywhere that might have my real name on it because I don’t want you ugly, jealous, skinny, acne prone, limp hair, gargoyle beyotches to harass me because you can’t get a date.
Anyways (just know I fully rolled my eyes when I typed that) I have been BUSY! My google calendar has NO white space. Every moment of my life is booked and accounted for. And I am HAPPY. This is what happiness is. Being so productive that you can’t even think about anything below the surface is the cure to depression. You should try it.

Flossing Hacks: Making Flossing Fun & Effective
Flossing: the bane of many a dental routine. It's often seen as tedious, time-consuming, and even downright unpleasant. But did you know that flossing is just as important as brushing for maintaining good oral health? It removes plaque and food particles from between your teeth, where your toothbrush can't reach. This helps prevent cavities, gum disease, and bad breath.
So, how can we make flossing more fun and effective? Here are a few hacks:
1. Choose the right floss.
There are many different types of floss on the market, so find one that you like. You can try waxed floss, unwaxed floss, flavored floss, or even water flossers. Experiment until you find one that is easy to use and comfortable on your gums.
2. Make it a routine.
The best way to make flossing a habit is to do it at the same time each day, like after breakfast or before bed. You can also set a timer for two minutes to make sure you're flossing for the recommended amount of time.
3. Get creative.
There are no hard and fast rules about how to floss. Some people find it easier to floss one tooth at a time, while others prefer to floss in sections. You can also try flossing while you're watching TV or listening to music.
4. Reward yourself.
If you're struggling to stick with flossing, give yourself a reward for doing it. This could be anything from a small treat to a new pack of floss.
5. See your dentist.
Your dentist can show you the proper way to floss and answer any questions you have. They can also recommend products that can help you floss more effectively.
Making flossing a fun and effective part of your dental routine is important for your oral health. By following these tips, you can make flossing something you actually look forward to.

Top 5 Tips for Good Oral Hygiene & Good Dental Health | ICPA Health
Your oral health plays a vital role in your overall well-being. A healthy mouth not only ensures a confident smile but also contributes to your overall health. To help you achieve and maintain excellent oral health, we’ve compiled the top five recommendations that go beyond just brushing and flossing. Follow these tips to keep your teeth and gums in tip-top condition and enjoy the benefits of a beautiful, healthy smile.
Avoid sugary stuff
Sugar-sweetened beverages (SSBs), or sugary drinks, are a major source of added sugars in the diet. Their consumption is on the rise worldwide. Research has shown that SSBs can harm your dental and overall health. They cause dental caries (tooth cavities) and are linked with weight gain, obesity, diabetes mellitus, cardiovascular diseases, and cancers. Therefore, the first recommendation for good oral health is to avoid SSBs.
The right brushing habits
It would be best if you controlled the germs (dental plaque) present on the tooth surfaces by brushing your teeth for two minutes twice daily. Brushing for two minutes has been shown to help people achieve significant plaque removal. Use a soft-bristled toothbrush with a small head and a flexible neck. Avoid hard bristled toothbrushes that are known to damage your tooth surfaces. Learn the correct brushing technique by visiting your dentist.
Spaces between teeth and fillings
The spaces between your teeth, dental fillings, crowns, and bridges need more attention. These spaces run a higher risk of dental problems because regular toothbrushes do not reach them easily. Learn from your dentist how to use dental floss or interdental brushes to clean these areas.
Orthodontic check for kids
Children should have their first orthodontic check-up done by age 7. Children usually have a mix of milk and permanent teeth at this age, making it the best time for an orthodontist to detect malpositioned teeth early, preventing future dental problems. Early detection minimizes the duration and the cost of orthodontic treatment.
Dental sealants and Fluoride treatments
Dental sealants are thin, protective coatings applied to the chewing surfaces of your back teeth (molars). They create a barrier that helps prevent food particles and bacteria from settling into the crevices of your teeth, reducing the risk of cavities. Sealants are especially beneficial for children and teenagers.
Fluoride treatments are another preventive measure that can strengthen your teeth and make them more resistant to decay. Your dentist may recommend fluoride varnish or a fluoride mouth rinse during your regular check-ups.
Additionally, be mindful of habits like teeth grinding or clenching (bruxism) and using your teeth to open packages or bite on hard objects. These actions can lead to tooth damage and wear. If you suspect you have bruxism, discuss it with your dentist to explore treatment options like a custom-fitted nightguard.
In conclusion, maintaining good oral hygiene and enjoying excellent oral health involves a combination of daily care, a balanced diet, regular dental visits, preventive treatments, and avoiding harmful habits. By following these top five recommendations, you can set the foundation for a lifetime of healthy smiles and overall well-being. Prioritize your oral health, and reap the benefits of a confident and radiant smile.
