#Deku and Shouto haven’t and they should

Interesting how there is 3 big 3 in the series

Mirio, Tamaki, Nejire.-> meh.

Deku, Bakugou, Todoroki.-> it's cool.

Shigaraki, Dabi, Toga.-> love them so much!!

Yes lol the characters are trio’d up quite a lot actually.

Shouto, Bakugo, & Midoriya are obviously a thing. I view that as a friendship thing primarily because they all help each other grow as people along the way and it’s just obvious they’ve all gotten real comfortable around each other through the Endeavor agency arc, but also as a potential coworker/hero thing since they work really well together

I’m also a fan of Iida being thrown in there: Iida, Shouto, Midoriya—> definitely a friendship/bonded through tough experiences thing, and you get the follow up later on in different moments (the war arc Iida following, retrieving Deku moment, Shouto’s noodle confession moment—> Iida is such a good friend )

Iida, Ochacko, & Midoriya have my heart purely for the organic friendship development they have. The way they all became friends at the beginning was just so realistic and relatable lol. I love that even though they aren’t the focus throughout, their friendships still matter and they even get their own volume cover together

The other kid trio I’m very much a fan of is Shouto, Ochacko, Midoriya (Savior Squad 🤩). This isn’t based on their interactions. Actually, Ochacko and Shouto barely interact, if even at all (though I suspect that’ll change later). This one is obviously based on the villains tying them together, which is why I’m a fan. I really do hope to see the three (or 6 😭) of them all interacting together later on. I’ll keep my fingers crossed 🤞. But even if not, it’ll be a missed opportunity but not a blow to the story. But we’ll see how that goes.

The Big 3–I really don’t care about them 😓

Dabi, Toga, and Shigaraki: I scream into the void about them enough. But also their “trio” dynamic is not based on their interactions at all either. Their individual circumstances and their individual stories all play off of each other without needing them to interact. And also they’re all similar to each other in ways they don’t/can’t say out loud, and for that I love the three of them. I personally don’t need them to interact directly with each other, like I’d hoped (still hope) to see with Shouto, Ocha, and Deku. I’d rather see them interact with the kids 🙏

I hope you get your wish then and the empathy that Todoroki and Deku have towards Dabi and Shigaraki is fake and they choose not to save their villains because they just don't care. Afterall according to you their empathy is fake right?

No, the empathy is there! I just think it’s a bit… conditional, when it shouldn’t be.

Only when Deku saw The Crying Child did he start thinking about Shigaraki as someone with a past and a will. A twisted will, but one that can be understood and countered. Only when Shouto realized the blue-flames League member is Touya, his older brother, did he consider why Dabi was so mad, would have good reasons to be mad, and wanted to save him. They’re both to be expected! We all care about people, but we care about some more than others. It’s easier to empathize with someone small and innocent like a child; it’s easier to empathize with someone you have a kinship with/someone close to you/someone like you; and when you have an idea of the Before - the concept of Tenko or Touya - it’s also easier to imagine a return to it.

What I mean is, I wish that empathy started long before these revelations; or without needing a pre-existing bond (OFA/AFO, familial).

Which is why: Uraraka had no vision of toddler Toga, and has no blood relations to her either. She did not owe anything to Toga, the girl who she only knew as a psycho villain. She knows Toga Himiko solely as Toga is now, 17 years old and League member and killer - and still came wonder about her.

I guess what I mean is. I wish Deku and Todoroki had even more empathy than they do now. Empathy that started maybe during the Mall talk where Shigaraki was clearly implying he was someone All Might hadn’t save; maybe during the High End attack where Dabi showed an focus and grudge against Endeavor.

As a fellow Bakugo fan I must ask, are you not even a little bit mad that Hori jobbed Bakugo (as well as others) so bad to make Deku look good? As a Bakugo fan who doesn't really like Deku, I'm considering droping the manga and I'm sad about it because I've been reading the manga for 3 years. I know that Bakugo will probably rise and do something but I still find the entire thing distasteful

Given how many asks I keep receiving to this effect, let me make this one thing perfectly, utterly, ear-ringingly clear.

No. I ain’t even mad, bro.

1. I have not been holding back my disappointment or refraining from criticizing Horikoshi out of politeness. I genuinely enjoy what’s been going on with Katsuki in the manga 100% since the beginning of this arc. I don’t think anyone should or shouldn’t enjoy the arc just because they’re a fan of Katsuki. I don’t think it means anything about you as a Katsuki fan if you like or dislike it. The fact of the matter is, I am a giant Katsuki fan, and I like this arc--and it’s clearly because I see what’s going on in the manga differently from the people who don’t like it. It’s as simple as that.

2. The notion that Horikoshi “jobbed” Katsuki to “make Deku look good” is just, like, your opinion, man. I don’t see it. I see the heavy implication that we’re maybe supposed to think that for like a few chapters, but Horikoshi has signaled SO. FUCKING. LOUDLY. how this is a ploy that I can’t even be mad at how my ear drums are bleeding from the volume. I don’t know how many times I gotta say it: when a character SAYS THE TROPE OUT LOUD (e.g. AFO vs Jirou), you just know the trope’s about to be subverted. But to subvert the trope, you first must play with it.

3. Look, it’s easy to forget the big picture when you’re reading such short chapters like this with only one or two major plot beats per chapter each week. If you’re genuinely not enjoying the manga at this pace, I’d advise you to change it. Read a few chapters at a time. Don’t read weekly. I can only explain my own enjoyment by pointing out that I’ve very consistently followed along with the plot beats while demonstrating that I absolutely vibe with Horikoshi.

Remember that time I was the only one who realized THIS WAS LEADING TO SOME BAD SHIT?

That happened in chapter 344. February. Katsuki wouldn’t get bodied until chapter 362 in August. Did it seem like I was despairing over this premonition for half-a-year? (Well, I mean “despairing” in a bad way that implies I wasn’t enjoying myself.)

But this is what I mean when I say don’t take plot beats at face value, because we have to let the story resolve each situation at its own natural pace. Katsuki is supposed to look like he’s been “jobbed” for Izuku’s sake, and for that to affect us properly, we have to sit with it for a while.

The fact that the above interaction exists gives me all the comfort in the world that what you’re describing isn’t actually happening in earnest in the story. Horikoshi is well aware of what the fuck things look like. He’s reveling in the fact that you’re falling for it. With any luck, the resolution will be that much sweeter for you when he finally gets to it.

If you don’t want to go through heartache to get to the sweet reward, if that’s not to your taste, then that’s cool. Do your thing. I’m gonna keep doing mine, and I’m having a blast with what we’ve got.

And what we’ve got is a plethora of Katsuki at every turn.

We keep joking about how I can make anything about Katsuki whether or not it’s merited, but at this point I’m convinced I’m supposed to be doing that. I haven’t written fusion theory yet because I’ve been so sleep deprived today, but chapter 369 really nailed home the fact that I’m supposed to be seeing all the characters in each other. AFO is Katsuki Bakugou. Katsuki Bakugou is Izuku Midoriya. Shouto and Iida are Izuku, and Dabi and Tomura are Katsuki, and everyone is All Might, and I could slot anyone’s names in any part of this formula and it will all work fine. The characters are converging on a singularity. So when I see any character do anything, including Izuku doing his thing right now, I am perfectly justified in seeing Katsuki Bakugou alive and well (although I do also get a certain smug satisfaction out of seeing his corpse on the ground like Horikoshi is winking at me each time he draws it).

(Like am I even supposed to be mad that he’s dead? When we’ve got so many other reanimated dead people walking around it might even be construed as a theme?)

Everything is Katsuki Bakugou and vice versa change my mind.

man already knows that you’re very touchy with your friends, that’s just who you are

heck, i think before you guys started dating, you were touchy to him too! (but even more because,, you like him)

so he shouldn’t be shocked when you link onto kirishima’s arm, or when you jump to give mina a back hug

and most especially, when you poke at bakugou’s cheeks— and he just LETS YOU for some reason

he’s glad that you feel comfortable around people, considering that it’s why you’re even touchy in the first place.

but he can’t help but wonder,, is he doing enough to you? i mean, you basically do the same to him, but added the cheek, lip kisses

and the wonderful words you get to shower him in daily.

not only that, but he does tend to flush up when you try to initiate some sort of physical affection. maybe,, he’s supposed to let you be?

let you do all of that, since it makes you happy? i mean,, he supposes that he’s willing to do that.

izuku’s not a restrictive person when it comes to things like that, so he supposes that he’ll just have to ignore the weighted feeling on his shoulders despite not carrying a thing at that very moment

on the other hand, you couldn’t help but notice a change in izuku. not anything too concerning, of course

but he’d turn a blind eye— whenever you’d initiate physical affection to your other friends. he’d go silent, until it was over

eventually, you overhear a rather heartbreaking conversation between the dekusquad, and izuku himself

“deku! if you’re so down about it, then maybe you should tell Y/N about it! i don’t think they mean any harm.” you could hear uraraka console him

“correct. L/N-kun does not look like the type to be unfaithful. and even if they were, that would’ve been unacceptable behavior!”

and through out the discussion on how izuku could confront you, his s/o— he speaks abruptly

“i mean.. if Y/N is happy with being physically affectionate with their friends then,, i can’t stop them.” he says sadly, but it breaks your heart knowing that you’ve caused him to sound like this

“plus, i’m sure they have a reason to be acting that way, right?” you didn’t think how your affectionate attitude would have its effects on him

so, the next time you saw your boyfriend, you had a talk with him

“hey, honey!” he’d greet you with the usual demeanor, as if he didn’t just talk about his feelings “how are you? sorry that i was a little late, i was talking with the others!”

you smile, accepting the reason (since it’s true) “izuku, can you be honest with me?”

and this statement shocks him for a bit, “oh uhm,, yeah i can! did i do something wrong?” he scoots next to you, waiting for your reply

“does me being physically affectionate towards my friends make you,, uncomfortable?” you inquire, as straightforward as you could

he’s silent for a bit, which makes you speak again “you can be honest, it’s okay. you’re not in any trouble, zuku.” you ruffle his hair softly for comfort

then, he finally answers. “uhm,, uncomfortable isn’t the word. it’s not that i don’t trust you but,,”

“yeah?”

“i don’t trust,, me.”

this statement takes you by surprise, “oh, why?”

“i don’t trust myself that i could make you happy,” he continues “with physical affection, i mean. i understand if you weren’t, i just feel like i’m not giving you enough.”

“i understand though!” izuku continues, “whenever you initiate physical affection, i can’t help but get all staggery and nervous,” he rambles

he sounds normal, sure— but he’s not looking at you, his emerald eyes set in a downcast state

you make him face you, gently grabbing a hold of his shoulders “i’m sorry, zuku.” you press a kiss on his temples

“in truth, yes. i didn’t want to make you uncomfortable with my physical affection.” you confess, “i’d see that you’d go red whenever i’d initiate something,” you tease, which gives you the exact reaction you’ve wanted

“but then,, i also didn’t think about how you felt about it. i didn’t consider the possibility of you being uncomfortable with it, so i want to apologize for that.” you lean against him, taking his hand and pressing a kiss on his palm

“if you want, i could stop it. there are other ways i could show affection to my friends anyway!” you suggest, but he shakes his head, smiling

“i appreciate it, but you don’t have to.” he reassures, “if it makes you happy then i’ll be happy.”

“is there anything else?”

“just maybe uhm,,” he trails off for a second, before continuing “give me what you give them, but multiply it by 200!” he suggests, his regular self coming back to you

you laugh, leaning forward to kiss him softly, “i love you, izuku. only you. people may receive my affection, yes— but you’re the only one that deserves all of it.”

and with that, the weight on his shoulders is lifted, and he didn’t actually have anything to worry about.

todoroki shouto

despite shouto being sometimes socially ignorant, he is a very observant person when it comes to the person he likes

so the first thing he noticed was your touchy behavior, specifically towards your friends

sure, he’s had some of that physical affection— but it was like you knew him too well. so, he received it less that the others

it doesn’t mean that todoroki disliked your physical affection. during those few times, he did tend to,, not mind it at all, when he’d usually pull them off

and it doesn’t automatically mean that you didn’t like being around todoroki, it was given that he wasn’t very big on being physical

he didn’t care, again— as long as you were happy, but then there would be this tight feeling in his chest whenever you’d run off to do it to bakugou, hugging him leisurely

or even midoriya, sometimes

so, when you guys finally confess to each other— it doesn’t appear that your physical affection towards your peers came to an end

it remained the same, and while he’s the one that received your delightful words, fully devoted love, and time— he can’t help but frown whenever he sees you latch onto kaminari

or when you sit beside midoriya and count all the freckles on his cheeks— the blush on his face being hard to ignore, in your boyfriend’s eyes.

i don’t think shouto’s a jealous person— protective is one thing, and possessive? maybe that one time, he was. but jealous? maybe not.

well, it’s not like he doesn’t trust you to stay loyal and faithful, that’s a different thing. but it’s more like,, he wants for the affection you’re giving to them

needy, that’s the word

early on, (and maybe even before you got together with shouto) it’s been established that shouto wasn’t a biggest fan of physical affection, besides hand holding, and cheek kisses for now

it makes sense to you, especially hearing about his childhood, and his father’s true colors— that are far from anything heroic.

and you definitely respect what he wants— if he wants space, you’ll comply! and if he wanted more, you’ll also be willing to comply!

that’s why you’ve been keeping things just at that— the last thing you want is making shouto uncomfortable, the concept terrifies you

but,, shouto doesn’t exactly know how to tell you that he wants more, more and more— he wants all of your affection

so, what does he do? he tells you in one exact way— he tells you what’s on his mind

and quite bluntly for that matter

the both of you have been sitting in silence for a bit, no words were exchanged. however, glances were sent towards your way

his stare has a different edge to it, as if he had something in particular he wanted to say— mouth gaping open as if he were to speak, but no words come out

“shou,” you call out to him softly, “it looks like you have something to say,” you smile at him, wanting to know what was in that head of his “you can talk to me.”

a minute flies by, and he’s still silent, and you’re about to drop the topic for good— until he finally speaks up “i don’t know what i’m feeling.”

this quirks your interest, “oh, what,, are you feeling?” what he said worries you, since it kinda sounds like he was about to deliver some bad news

“i’m,, not sure myself.” he stares down at his hands “i feel weird, whenever i see you be.. touchy around the others.”

weird, huh? “what kind of weird? could you try to explain? maybe i could pinpoint what you’re feeling.”

“i feel weird, since i haven’t experienced this before,” he breathes in, before he goes on “i feel like i want more, selfishly more. i thought i would’ve been fine with receiving minimal physical affection,”

he turns to you, heterochromatic eyes staring deep into yours “but i’m not fine with it! i want more, like what you give to the others. so that’s why,, it’s weird.”

and it suddenly dawns onto you on what he’s talking about, he’s talking about you being physically affectionate towards your friends and classmates

and how he doesn’t like it.

you frown, scooting next to him “i’m sorry you feel that way, shou.” you fix a stray piece of hair that has been misplaced, hanging near his brow

“i’m glad that you were being honest, and told me,” you cautiously hold his hand, looking at him to detect any discomfort

there’s none

“yes, i’ve been careful. i don’t wish to make you feel weird— in the bad way, and most especially uncomfortable!” he nods in understanding, he adjusts the hold on your hand, choosing to place his hand on top of yours

“and i didn’t.. think about how you would’ve felt about it. i should’ve asked you about it first.” you look at him with meaning, “‘m sorry.”

his gaze softens, and he leans closer— ever than before “it’s alright, love, no need to apologize,”

“that’s just who you are, if you show gratitude and affection with being physical, then that’s okay. i just,, want more— if that’s okay with you.” you nod, laughing softly

“i’ll give you more, if that’s what you wish. i’ll give you everything you want, whatever makes you happy.” shouto presses a kiss on your temple

“so,, does that mean you’re going to.. stop?” he asks— just because he wanted to know

“oh, if you want to, then i will.”

“you don’t have to but.. maybe tone it down?” he suggests, because although the idea of your physical affection towards your friends coming to a halt, is nice he wouldn’t admit that outloud

he doesn’t want you to stop, if that’s how you show gratitude to your friends. so, toning it down’s the best option

“i will,” you smile, “only high fives, pats on the back, and quick hugs, from now on!”

the statement makes him smile, a genuine one— he’s just glad that his concerns have a resolve now. man was just really touch starved, couldn’t blame him

kaminari denki

it took a while for him to actually start being concerned

i mean— dude’s practically the same as you. have you seen him play with ojirou’s tail? he always finds himself touching someone

whether it’d be him poking bakugou’s spiky head of hair (until he’d scream at him) or him resting his elbows on kirishima— he’s always touching someone

so, he understands if you’re going to be touchy feely with others. he actually finds it quite cute when you show your endearing side to your friends with touch (without crossing boundaries of course)

so, it was okay keyword : was

until you slowly started kissing your friends on the cheek— and it erupted,, something from within

it was so casual, that he had to process what just happened— following it up with a smile, to play it off.

he feels bad for feeling iffy about it, honest! he doesn’t have a reason to distrust you, so this feels all,, wrong for him

the gesture was definitely a gradual process. it wasn’t like you just randomly started to kiss people on the cheek— and it wasn’t like you were depriving him

so this made him think harder than he has ever thought before. maybe you were getting tired of being affectionate to him only, so you moved away from that?

or maybe you were tired of HIS affection?

maybe you were giving people affection, because they deserved it, and he didn’t? if this was the case, denki can’t complain.

denki knows he’s not smart like iida, or serious like bakugou.

but even to denki, all of that is a stretch. he’s just laying out all of the possible reasons— rational or not

and before he realized it, you knew that there was something up

denki; utterly afraid of losing you, switches from super affectionate to being isolated in his room— every single day

this is his way of experimenting with your reactions

even the bakusquad didn’t know what was up so,, yeah. there must be something bothering him.

you’re given a few ideas as to why kaminari might be acting this way, and the exact idea popped into your mind

you made him insecure

and you instantly felt bad— yes, you give all of your friends cheek kisses, and you give them to your boyfriend too!

but you didn’t realize that you would’ve potentially harmed him in the process. so, you sought out to talk to him

“hey babe,” it was just in time, your boyfriend enters through your door, “i was looking everywhere for you, you won’t believe it! i would’ve evaporated if i had to endure bakugou’s screaming one more time!”

“i was looking for you too,” you smile, ushering him to sit on your bed, “listen, i want to talk to you.”

“oh,”

“don’t worry, denki. you’re not in any trouble,” you reassure, “i just want to apologize”

it’s his turn to be confused “what? why?”

“let me ask you one thing, how do you feel about me giving people affection?”

he swallows harshly, but answers truthfully “i like it a lot, babe! i do find it cute.” he smiles, but you’re not fully convinced that his statement made it’s end

“i feel like there’s more i should know.”

“i,, yeah.” he admits, and not very gracefully “it’s— ugh! i’m sorry. i know this is really out of character for me, and i’m sorry that you have to see me feeling like,,”

“you can be honest.” you remind him briefly

“—weird. look, it’s not like your love language is weird to me. i think it’s just me being a needy idiot! and it’s not like i think you’re cheating on me!” he holds his hands up in defense

“but in a way,, i didn’t expect you to do that— you’ve only started doing it recently.”

“so it made you uncomfortable?” you’re preparing for the expected answer, ready for what’s about to be said

“,, if the shoe fits.”

seeing denki in this sort of manner gave you the biggest reality check. yes, you knew that you had something to do with his recent personality change

but you didn’t realize how much it made him question himself.

“i’m sorry, once again” you apologize, “it was wrong of me to assume you were fine with it, i just thought you’d be fine with it since well,,”

“hey, it’s okay,” denki smiles, his mood slightly better “i’m touchy too, i mean,, we both show affection physically! i’m not very surprised that you thought i was fine with it.” he brushes his thumb on your cheekbone

“i mean it, denki. i didn’t realize how much it would’ve affected you. you might not realize it, but i do.”

“it’s fineeee,” he whines playfully when you’re still upset, “Y/N, you’re affectionate, which is a trait i absolutely love. if you’re physically affectionate, that fine.”

“just uhm,,” he trails off, almost awkwardly. “maybe,, don’t bless them with your,, cheek kisses? ugh! omg there was definitely a better way to say that.”

to any other person, that would’ve been awkward— like,, really. but you understood, that’s how much you know about him

“got it, they will be exclusively for you.” you kiss him on the cheek, “thanks for being honest, denki.”

at that moment, denki’s shoulders felt lighter, and he suddenly forgot about why he even felt this way. yes, you still gave people physical affection BUT

denki kaminari still wins 😎 your kisses and ultimate tokens of affection are strictly for him

The button on your watch was for times like these. You were currently sitting in the bathroom of your work, knees to chest, shaking as tears fell down your face. You had pressed the button three times, which should have sent a ‘911’ to them. You waited, shaking and crying hoping one of your boyfriends would answer.

Katsuki was in a meeting when he got the 911 alert on his watch.

“I’m gonna stop you right there,” he interrupts. “I have to go. It’s an emergency.”

“Oh but Dynamight we-“

“I said, later.” He snapped, grabbing his coat and rushing out the door, phone in hand.

Shoto was on patrol when he got the call from Katsuki.

“Hey! IcyHot. Did you get the 911?” Katsuki sounds urgent, almost panicked. Shoto looks down at his watch to see the alert.

“Yeah...I’m on patrol-“

“It’s fine. Did she work today?” Shoto could hear him starting his car.

“Yeah, she should be.”

“Alright. Come straight home after patrol alright?”

“Yeah.” Like Shoto could focus on anything else.

Deku was at the grocery store when he got the alert on his watch, before he could even acknowledge it, his phone was ringing.

“Hello?”

“Deku, where are you?” Katsuki said quickly.

“The store...I got the alert. Y/N’s at work-“

“I’m on my way there now. Go home. Make it real nice for her. Get her some candy, stuff she likes.”

“Alright.”

You’re not sure how much time passed, but you jumped at a knock on the door.

“Little dove? It’s me. Can you let me in?” You visibly relax at the sound of Katsuki’s voice. On shaky legs you stand, unlocking the door.

You’re immediately pulled into his strong arms. He holds you tight while you claw at him, pressing yourself as close as you can and inhaling his scent. He pays your hair, cooing softly in your ear.

“It’s okay baby I’m here.” He whispers to you. “You alright? Wanna go home?” You nod, only slightly. Keeping an arm around you and holding you close, Katsuki walks you back to your desk, people whisper about him. What a Pro Hero like him is doing with you. He sends death flares to them as he grabs your things and leads you out of the building. He opens the car door for you and helps you in, kissing your forehead as he buckles you in.

“Hand?” He asks, holding his out to you as he gets back in the driver’s seat. You take it, locking your fingers together. He gives it a gentle squeeze as he heads back to the apartment. You close your eyes and relax against the leather seat. He hums, knowing his voice calms you. 

When you finally get back to your house he opens your door and carries you up the steps and inside. It smells good, like something cooking and Izuku is standing in the foyer, smiling fondly at you. He takes you from Katsuki and cups your cheeks, kissing you reverently on the lips.

“Ran you a bath.” He murmurs. “Let Kachan finish dinner and I’ll help you relax.” Surprisingly Katsuki doesn’t argue, instead he gives your cheek a light kiss and Izuku’s as well before walking around you both into the kitchen. You wrap your arms and legs around Izuku as he carries you up the steps. “Know it’s been hard for you lately. But I’m proud of you. I’m so proud. I love you so much.” He whispers to you with each step.

He strips you down and helps you into the warm bubbly water. You slide into it easily, sighing as you sink down. He wets your hair and begins shampooing it. “You wanna talk about it?” He asks softly. You shake your head.

“I can’t....I just-“ he shushes you, leaning down to kiss your cheek.

“It’s okay. You don’t have too. Just relax doll. You’re safe. With me.”

Shoto arrives home while you’re in the shower. He puts pajamas for you in the dryer to heat them up a bit and leaves them on the bathroom counter. You’re grateful for the cozy warmth once you slip them on.

He carries you back down stairs and into the living room. While you were bathing Katsuki had laid out an elaborate set up in the living room. Blankets, pillows, fairy lights, your favorite candle lit, your favorite snacks and food and drinks out and three of your favorite movies for you all to watch.

Shoto takes you from Izuku, tucking you into his chest and pulling you into his lap on the floor, Katsuki and Izuku follow. Katsuki props your legs up over his lap and Izuku leans against Shoto’s side, holding your hand and pressing against your back.

“I’m sorry you had a rough day,” Shoto murmured. “But we’re here and we love you. And if you wanna talk that’s fine. If not, we’ll watch movies and pig out until you forget your sadness.” You grip the front of his shirt, looking around at these men who love you so.

“I love you all. Thank you so much.”

“Anything for you, dumbass....now pick a movie, so we can get to bed at a decent hour.”

“You’ve always been the life of the party haven’t you?”

“HEY-“

“Can it both of you. Y/N pick one. We’ll watch anything you want.”

“Thank you.”

RWBY In My Hero: Shie Hassaikai Arc Preview

I’ll be doing this in text rather than in screenshots like I have done previously. It’s taken a while, but this arc is finally scripted out and so far is the longest one at sixteen chapters. I apologize for the major delay with the fic, but we’re halfway through the scripting process right now. Once I get through the next arc, things should be easier.

SPOILERS AHEAD FOR VOLUME 4 OF THE SERIES!!

Chapter 1

Midoriya: Nothing, it’s just that this whole thing reminded me of something. Do you remember when we were little and we tried to catch a stray cat using sardines as bait? (Bakugo clicks his tongue, unamused.) That was the day we discovered your Quirk. All because the cat tried to scratch you and—

Bakugo: Okay, that’s enough! Shut up! (Ruby bits her lip as she tries not to laugh.) It’s not funny, Red!

Ruby: Honestly, it’s a lot better than what happened to me and Midoriya. (Midoriya raises a brow.)

Midoriya: Okay, you saying that about me, I get it. I broke both my legs and an arm. But what happened to you? (Ruby sheepishly chuckles.)

Ruby: I um… I sneezed? And ended up halfway across the backyard… Actually, it might’ve been a good thing. I developed Petal Burst pretty late, so my dad was kind of getting worried that I was Quirk—

Bakugo: So, you found out about your Quirk the same way you made a crater in the courtyard on the first day of school?

Ruby: ...Hey, it was your fault that I caused Snow-splosion in the first place!

Bakugo: It was not!

Ruby: Yes it was!

Midoriya: Wait, what happened on the first day of school? (Ruby and Bakugo fall quiet.) Guys, what happened on the first day of school?! What’s Snow-splosion!?

Bakugo: Just get back to work, Deku.

Chapter 2

Pyrrha: This should be interesting… (She says, sounding a bit nervous.)

Yang: You're not gonna fight, Shouto?

Todoroki: Huh? No… I didn’t get my provisional license. (Okay, so that’s why he’s standing on the sidelines with the others…)

Sero: Is he… for real? (Considering the fact that he’s already stretching, then yes.)

Mirio: Oh yeah. Totes real!

Tamaki: Mirio, you’re impossible. (He says, standing behind Yang like she’s his human shield.) It would’ve been simple enough for us just to tell them. ‘This is what it’s like, here’s what we learned from it.’ Not everyone has your level of drive. Plus, think about how bad it’ll look if some of them can’t recover after fighting you. No one wants to spend the next few years in a hospital bed.

Yang: You haven’t met these kids.

Tamaki: But you’ve met Mirio.

Yang: What’s that supposed to mean?

Tamaki: It means that I don’t think they can take the same level that you and Mirio like to brawl at.

Yang: …hold on a minute.

Mirio: Nope! Can’t stop me now! I’m doin’ this!

Yang: Mirio!

Chapter 3

Tomura: Another time. …Shie Hassaikai… you’ll pay for what you’ve done today. (Cinder sighs.)

Cinder: For once, Tomura... it appears as if we're in agreement on something. 

Tomura: What?

Cinder: Forgive me if I don't shake on it... but why don't you and I accept Chisaki's offer?

Shigaraki: ...You have one minute.

Cinder: They killed one of yours, as well as took the arm of the street magician. If you're clever enough, you'll find the perfect way to destroy them from the inside. Personally, I think that bull will do quite the damage to their china shop. (It’s rather easy to pull his strings now that she knows what makes him tick. So long as he didn’t get distracted by his… infatuation, just thinking about that made Cinder gag, he’d do exactly what he was supposed to.) It’s all up to you in the end. But if you want the Hassaikai to pay for the damage, it’s best to do it from the inside.

Tomura: …why? (Cinder glances over at him.) Why are you doing this?

Cinder: That should be plenty obvious to you by now… Tomura Shigaraki. Emerald, Mercury. We have plans to make. (And they leave without another word. This was going to be fun to watch.)

Chapter 4

Yang: What’s going on?

Tamaki: Please help.

Yang: …what’s going on…?

Kirishima: I-I um… (This is a complete 180 from how he was just acting before.) Amajiki-senpai asked to see me about work studies so I came over as soon as possible! Sorry, I’ll get going! (Tamaki seems to sigh, tension melting from his shoulders. Really weird, but…)

Yang: Oh yeah, we work at the same agency. (Kirishima stops.) I think I could help out. Fat's always lookin' for kids like you.

Kirishima: Y-You mean it?

Yang: Yeah.

Kirishima: Thank you, senpai! Good night! (Kirishima quickly walks off before Yang can get out another word. She sighs. Seriously, what was that about? Looking to Tamaki for an answer, all she gets is a shrug. And she wasn’t able to give him any more information. Oh well, she can always pass it on through Ruby.)

Chapter 5

Ruby: Hey, Midoriya! Didn’t you start your work study yesterday, too? How did it go? Pretty good, right?

Midoriya: Yeah, sure… (He doesn’t sound like he means it.)

Bakugo: (turning his hearing aids off) I don’t wanna hear about you getting ahead of me!

Ruby: Bakugo… (He’ll have to turn them back on eventually. She sighs.) Midoriya? Are you okay?

Midoriya: I um… (He sighs, burying his face into his arms. As the day went on, it became apparent that evidently, Midoriya was not okay. He got distracted during classes and ended up getting hit in the head with a book. That afternoon, he nearly drowned while they were performing mock rescues and had to be fished out by Mr. Aizawa. When Ruby tried to confront him about it as classes ended, he was already gone.)

Chapter 6

Oscar: Eri… (She sniffles, looking up at him.)

Eri: You came back.

Oscar: Of course I did. Nothing Overhaul says is going to get me to leave.

Eri: But you're going to get hurt...

Oscar: I won't. Not if he doesn't catch me. I'm not going to leave you here alone, Eri. I promise. I'll make sure you're safe. (Eri hiccups. Oscar remembers what Amber would do when he'd cry. He holds his arms out to the girl, who shrinks away.) You won't hurt me, Eri. Remember my Quirk?

Eri: *hic*... (She takes Oscar's hands and presses them to hers. Oscar activates his Quirk the moment their hands meet, sending a rippling green aura over Eri.)

Oscar: There we— (Eri launches herself into his arms, holding on tight as she muffles her sobs with his shirt. He holds her back.)

(Oscar thinks back to their encounter with Lemillion and Deku... he thinks about his father, and his grip tightens on Eri's clothes.)

Chapter 7

Ryukyu: Could he really do something so horrific?

Ozpin: Yes.

Nighteye: In addition to his daughter, Mirio and Midoriya also encountered a young boy who had been kidnapped a few months ago back in July — Oscar Pine.

Ozpin: My son. (Ruby’s eyes widen. She didn’t even know that Ozpin had any kids.)

Ghira: If you don't mind me asking, why would they have reason to want your son? It doesn't make sense.

Ozpin: I can only assume that he was... (swallowing something, disgusted) That my son is there because of his Quirk. It's called Nullification. (To Aizawa) It's similar to your Erasure. When Oscar makes skin-to-skin contact with someone, he can temporarily nullify the effect of their Quirk, as well as usage of it for a short amount of time. I can only imagine that some of the blood and cells found in the bullet belonged to him.

Gran Torino: In a world of superhumans, if you can dream it, you can do it.

Kirishima: Hold on. What are you talking about?

Rock Lock: Once again, why do we have children in this meeting? I’ll say this one time. We’re wondering if this Chisaki bastard is turning those kids’ bodies into bullets and selling them on the black market. (Glynda looks like she’s about to be sick, and those Pro Heroes who are parents at the table look deeply disturbed and disgusted.)

Ruby: No way…

Jaune: I think I’m gonna be sick… (Ruby can see a few embers briefly flicker to life in her father’s hair.)

Chapter 8

Detective: Now, heroes! Things could get violent quickly out there. If you encounter even a hint of suspicious behavior or resistance, call for help immediately!

Yang: Here.

Tamaki: Swordfish? Where did you even get this?

Yang: I thought you could use it at some point.

Tamaki: That doesn’t answer my question.

Chapter 9

(Whatever it is, it gets Tamaki to quiet down and let Jaune do his work. He must’ve hit the yakuza guys pretty hard if they’re still out cold. Once the bones in his face are set back into place, Jaune takes care to try and wipe off some of the blood sticking to the side of Tamaki’s face to keep his hair from sticking to it. Suddenly, Tamaki grabs him by the wrist.)

Jaune: Too much?

Tamaki: We need to go.

Jaune: But I’m not done—

Tamaki: We need to go now! Something’s wrong! Something’s wrong with Mirio, I can just feel that it is!

Jaune: Is this—

Tamaki: I’m being serious! Something’s wrong… I don’t know what, but something’s wrong! (This is a whole new level on Tamaki’s Worked-Up scale. Jaune’s pretty sure it’s off the scale. Oh no…)

Jaune: Can you stand? (Tamaki swiftly nods.) Then come on. Let’s go.

Chapter 10

Yang: Blake, it's okay to be scared. We're only fifteen, and what he did to you wasn't right. Anyone would be scared after that. Wanna know a secret? Even the strongest Pros are scared whenever they go into a fight. But the thing is... they forget their fear because they have their friends fighting beside them. Other Pro Heroes. You can be scared. But no matter how scared you get, I promise I'll be with you, okay? 

Blake: You don't have to protect me, Xiao Long. I can do that myself.

Yang: Didn't say that I was. You can count on me, alright? I won't leave you to face your fears alone. And you can call me Yang if you want. I don’t mind. (Blake swallows something down and nods.)

(She didn’t realize then, but that little act would be enough to set things in motion that brought them to today. Hearing Yang’s name come out of her mouth, using ‘Yang’ and ‘Blake’ for each other, slowly becoming friends and allies, Yang being the person that Blake began to think of to call when she was home alone and couldn’t handle it, how much she thought about her friend…)

Chapter 11

Ruby: Deku? What’s up?

Midoriya: It was just like at the exam…

Ruby: What?

Midoriya: That transformation and the way her body melted. I think… Do you remember how that Shiketsu girl said that her friend was acting strange?

Ruby: You mean Penny? (Midoriya nods.) Yeah, I do. She told me later that they had found her friend passed out in an alley a few days later—! …! You mean that girl was…!?

Midoriya: Toga. (Seriously, what was the League up to…?)

Chapter 12

Oscar: NO!! (He jumps onto Overhaul from behind, pressing his hand onto Chisaki's face, and the other onto his arm. The villain’s body ripples with a green glow. His eyes widened.)

Overhaul: You... You BRAT!! (Overhaul grabs Oscar, throwing him towards a set of spikes. Mirio acts quickly, grabbing the boy before he can get hurt.) 

Lemillion: Your dad's on his way with the other heroes. (Oscar's eyes widened. His dad? Something twists his heart. He remembers the last time he saw his dad. That day when he left for work at U.A. He said that ...Oscar remembers screaming for his dad when he was attacked by that woman and her crew. He remembers crying himself to sleep every night, hoping and praying to any god that was listening for his father to come and save him like he always promised he would. He would protect him. He would keep him from danger... He was a Hero. That's what they did. But...)

Oscar: My dad's... (He shakes.) He doesn't...

Overhaul: That's right! Dear old daddy... he's not coming for you. If he wanted you, he would've saved you long ago! But no, he didn't, did he!? He left you to suffer and forgot all about you! HE LEFT YOU BEHIND!! (Lemillion's grip on Oscar tightens.)

Chapter 13

Midoriya: C’mon, let’s go.

Oscar: But—!

Ozpin: Go with Lemillion. I'm going to have a little chat with Chisaki...

Oscar: Dad—

Ozpin: Go! (There’s a barrier that pushes them back before Ozpin dives into the fight to help Qrow and Nighteye. Midoriya passes Mirio over to Ruby, who struggles a bit to keep him upright while her friend busts another hole in the wall. Oscar is holding tight onto Eri, even after the barrier falls. He watches his father fight.)

Midoriya: I’m pretty sure this will lead us back. We need to get away from Chisaki! (As Midoriya goes to get Ruby back, Ruby sees that the palm of her glove is darker than what it should be. That’s blood. That’s Mirio’s blood. Eri squirms in Oscar’s arms, trying to get free.)

Oscar: Eri—

Eri: No! That’s enough. (There are tears running down the little girl’s face.) I’m so sorry. (They stare at her. Eri…)

(And then… the worst happens.)

Chapter 14

Ozpin: Oscar! What are you doing? I thought I told you to go with Lemillion.

Oscar: But Dad—

Ozpin: It’s dangerous for you to be here!

Jaune: If you have to yell at anyone, yell at me! I let him!

North: Oz, lecture the kids later. We got more serious things to worry about. 

Ozpin: *sigh* “Where’s Togata?”

Jaune: With Suneater. I healed him up a bit, but there’s still something not right so he’s taking him up to get help.

Ruby: Mirio’s Quirk…

Jaune: His Quirk? Wait, what happened to his Quirk?

Qrow: We can talk later.

Ozpin: Right. For now, let’s work on getting you children and Nighteye out of here.

Jaune: (upon seeing the state that Nighteye is in, pulling Oscar back and covering his eyes though the kid has probably seen worse) Oh my gosh!

Chapter 15

Tamaki: Rose!

Jaune: Ruby!

Ruby: Amaji— Uh, Suneater! Chevalier! (She rushes over to them.) Are you guys okay?

Tamaki: Don't worry about me. I'm fine.

Jaune: Could be better.

Ruby: What about Yang? A-And Kiri— Red Riot and Lemillion and—? (Unsure of what to say, Tamaki lowers his gaze sadly.) Guys?

(Suneater steps aside, giving Ruby a clear view of Blake Belladonna and Yang Xiao Long with the paramedics. Both girls have bandages wrapped around their wounds, and the latter is unconscious. Behind them are Mirio Togata, who is unconscious and being loaded into an ambulance, and Eijirou Kirishima who is worse for wear with whom Ruby could only guess was Fatgum by his side. Uravity and Froppy rush to his side while Ruby stands there, shocked. Midoriya smothers a gasp. Blake reaches over and places her hand on Yang's.)

Blake: I'm sorry... (She gets tears in her eyes as she gets into the ambulance with Yang. Ghira Belladonna isn’t that far behind her. Ruby sees Yang's missing arm. Ruby reaches out and opens her mouth to say something, but in her emotional state, she doesn't know what to say.)

Chapter 16

Aizawa: Are you sure that being in a hospital is the best place for you? (Ruby comes to a stop. She peers around the corner, seeing Mr. Aizawa talking with her uncle. Her uncle… he would know where Yang’s room was, right? But before Ruby can confront him about the matter…)

Qrow: Not now, Shouta.

Aizawa: I’m only asking you a question. With your bad luck, who knows what damage you could do.

Qrow: I said not now.

Aizawa: Harbinger. (He’s being serious.) Someone like you in a place like this isn’t the best idea. We’ve already had enough bad luck today. We don’t need any—

Qrow: Don’t you think I know that?! (Aizawa takes a step back, and Ruby’s breath catches in her throat. She… had never heard her uncle snap like that.) But if you haven’t noticed, I’m well aware of all the bullshit that I caused today just by being present! …fuck…

Aizawa: Harbinger, get a hold of yourself.

Qrow: Don’t you think I’m trying, Shouta?!

I have to preface this with the fact that I don't mean any of this in a hostile tone, but am genuinely curious about what you think. Do you think that the LoV's past circumstances will/should give them leeway to get away scot-free from the consequences of their (extremely destructive/disruptive) actions that have injured common folk more than the Heroes they claim to hate the most? (1/4)

We, as readers, are aware of the conditions that drove Shigaraki, Toga and the others to do what they did but I feel that the general public won’t really vibe with the idea of reintegrating or give a carte blanche to people whose body counts number in the thousands and I feel that addressing this satisfactorily will be really difficult in the long run. The series has a hopeful tone but the populace Just forgetting the grievances caused doesn't seem that palatable, to be honest. (2/4) 

Does Touya deserve no commeuppance for his (by his own words) few dozens of victims because “It’s all Endeavor’s fault” as if he had literally no involvement in the thought process that took him to callously wreaking havoc everywhere? I mean, Shouto's gotten his ass kicked by Karma repeatedly and his actions haven't been that drastic, asides from being kind of an asshole initially (3/4) 

Society in BnHA is flawed af and needs re-structuring to address the issues it has (which is the direction is heading to) but do the people who have destroyed everything around deserve full forgiveness just because their stories were tragic? Especially in the face of people who have faced similar enough circumstances and haven’t resorted to outright villainy. This is not to say that I want them to be killed or thrown to jail but I want to know what you think. Sorry for dumping all of this on you

I want you to understand that no one is saying that they “deserve full forgiveness”. Not even the story says that, in fact. You’re forgetting that this panel exists:

Deku acknowledges the things Shigaraki has done. And he says he can’t forgive him for them. But saving has nothing to do with forgiving.

What Deku’s doing when he’s showing Shigaraki sympathy, when he’s resolving to save him, is recognizing that Shigaraki is a victim of AFO’s abuse. It’s recognizing Shigaraki’s hurt, and how before he became a villain, he was just a little boy crying and hoping to be saved by a hero, too.

Deku never said “I’m gonna give you a carte blanche for hurting my friends because you are hurting too.” Deku’s said “Shigaraki killed many people. He’s hurt people near and dear to me. AND YET.”

I don’t know how you can interpret that as blanket forgiveness. It’s not. It’s Deku stating that Shigaraki’s victimhood is not lessened by the damage he’s done. It’s not condoning or softening of Shigaraki’s actions, it’s an acknowledgement that Shigaraki is still a human being despite how unforgivable his actions are.

Well, the general public gave their support to a child abuser and a murderer, so their morality isn’t exactly stellar, either. Nor are they completely devoid of blame, either. Dabi’s pov and chapter 305 show that their support and their willingness to turn a blind eye to corruption are also a symptom of everything that’s wrong with hero society. I don’t know why their opinions should have such a weight into what ends up being the fate of the villains. If the masses can be persuaded into accepting back a child abuser, they can also be persuaded into accepting back the victim of that abuse.

Besides, redeeming the core Lov in the eyes of the general public isn’t even that hard?? Literally all they have to do is help defeat AFO, the biggest threat to peace in hero history, and the person directly to blame for the existence itself of the League of villains as an organization. Without him, “Shigaraki Tomura” never would’ve existed. Without his network, without Ujiko’s devotion, the attacks never would’ve taken place. Without his experimentation on Machia, and his brainwashing into blind devotion, the destruction of those cities never would’ve happened. Please let’s blame the right person for that. Tenko was kidnapped at age 5 and gaslit into remaining feral and angry and self-destructive for a purpose. He cannot be held to the same standard as his literal abuser.

You also make it sound as if Dabi, Shigaraki and the others haven’t already been miserable all their lives. You freely mention how much they destroyed, but skip mentioning how much they also self-destructed. To bring up an example.

The hands that Shigaraki was forced to wear on his body every day were said to be the trigger of his trauma.

AFO purposefully gaslit him into accepting to be re-traumatized every. fucking. day. Because the one condition to steal ofa is a strong enough emotion, so he had a vented interest in keeping Tenko as far away from closure and healing as possible.

In fact, we were even told that Shigaraki experienced that grief like the first time every single day of his adult life. So much so that suffering has become normalized to him.

The story has been punishing them more than enough already. What they “deserve” is not to be even more miserable, but to finally be freed from the belief that there cannot be any salvation for them. That there cannot be a life outside of destruction.

They have never walked away “scot-free”. Dabi doesn’t even have a sense of self outside of his trauma. He had a meltdown on live TV but everyone seems to think he was entirely rational about his revenge, entirely present as he attempted suicide in front of a stage that didn’t do anything to stop him.

No. Look, I understand that you’re not trying to start an argument or to sound hostile, but this is victim-blaming. You are minimizing the extent of their trauma, and blaming them for not reacting to it in a way that you find palatable. Dabi is no less of a victim than Shouto because he didn’t have the tools to cope with his trauma in a way that society finds acceptable. Shouto had his mother’s love and her full support and reassurance. Touya didn’t. It’s not Touya’s responsibility that the adults around him didn’t give him a support system, that they didn’t provide him with emotional stability, that they refused to take care of him and to love him. If he “resorted to outright villainy” it’s because his father refused to interact with him in a context that wasn’t that of the so-called “world of heroes”. If he bothered answering just ONE of Touya’s pleas, Touya wouldn’t have had to resort to villainy in the first place. Again, please blame the right person.

Also, Dabi’s faceless, unnamed victims that you mention don’t have more narrative weight than Twice’s (a named character who invoked a strong connection with the audience) extrajudicial murder. You make it all about numbers like this is real life and not fiction. If Dabi’s kills were framed as having the same emotional and moral impact than the heroes’ mishandlings of justice, then Horikoshi would’ve made room to show those people’s backstories. The only reason why Dabi and the League killed so much is to pose a narrative challenge.

At what point does hero society stop seeing them as victims and starts claiming for their blood? This supposed line between good and bad that cannot be crossed because otherwise you’re too far gone is exactly what caused the destruction in Jakku and the nearest cities. The dehumanization of Shigaraki’s personhood into an “it” that needed taking down, X-less’ refusal to cpr Shigaraki when his heart stopped, are exactly what caused the decay rampage. Punitive justice cannot work to fix the problems here so long as the ones administering it are criminals, too. Rehabilitation can.

A lot of people seem to forget that the reason why the villains are lashing out against hero society is not because “they had tragic backstories”, but because society is specifically tailored to repress and reject them. They kill and they destroy because society taught them that they were monsters that destroyed.

Every time I see the argument that the villains’ redemption means condoning their crimes I have to stop my eyes from rolling so hard they’ll fall off my face. Literally no one is saying that. “Redemption” just means giving these broken people a reason to stop the rampage, to learn that destruction doesn’t have to be the only way to move forward.

If society cannot make room to welcome them back, to accept them after they rejected them for so long, then I’m sorry but you misunderstood the entire premises of this manga

Todoroki Shouto

-Things like jealousy are a rare occurrence in your relationship. 

-Todoroki is the type of boyfriend who trusts you blindly and would put his own life in your hands without a single hesitation. 

-Sometimes it bothers him how other people effortlessly flirt with you but he knows that nothing will come out of it no matter how much they chat you up. 

-He knows you can handle yourself and get out of  a situation if things start getting out of hand. 

-And if you can’t, he will butt in glaring down at the person who wouldn’t take no for an answer.

-Everyone around you seem to believe that the two of you are really close friends; none of them have caught a whiff of your relationship and you are proud of yourselves. 

-I mean it is pretty hard keeping so many romantic milestones hidden from your friends. 

-But alas you both knew that keeping all of this to yourselves would be for the best. 

-Now, we all know that the girls of your class drool over any remotely romantic interaction you have. 

-Same goes for everyone actually. 

-Oh Kirishima held the door open for you the other day?? I can see a new ship sailing. 

-Sero helped you pick up your stuff when you bumped into a wall? Your knight in shining armor. 

-Really any sort of kind gesture was interpreted as romantic interest at this point. 

-The worst part of it all was the ship they had created and have been simping over for the past three months. 

-You had managed to create an unexpected friendship with Monoma from class 3-B. 

-The agency he interns in is right next to yours so you take the same train and then walk to almost the same building every single day. 

-You see him during patrol, the pro heroes you work under have paired up once or twice so a friendship was inevitable. 

-So imagine the surprise on your classmate’s faces when Monoma began waiting for you outside the 3-A dorm building.

-Mina wouldn’t shut up about how cute you two were together and what a perfect match you made. 

-Soon enough the other idiots joined the party and you were drowned in ‘awwww’s and ‘love story in the making’s. 

-You got tired of explaining that he was just a friend, that you weren’t interested in him. 

-The fact that you could feel Todoroki’s gaze burn through your back didn’t help at all. 

-Your boyfriend had asked you about Monoma because he too found it weird how he waited for you everyday. 

-The boy’s presence didn’t bother him at first. 

-He was lowkey grateful that you finally had company on your way to the agency considering he couldn’t walk with you since his building was in the opposite direction. 

-It started becoming a problem when all he could hear during the breaks was the stupid ship name the girls had created. 

-He could see how visibly uncomfortable it made you and how you would seek for his gaze during those moments. 

-Then they started talking about how cute your kids would be and that’s when Shoto had enough. 

-It’s one thing hearing about how cute your girlfriend would be with someone else and it’s completely different when you hear about their potential offspring. 

-Grabbing your wrist he basically dragged you out the classroom and into an empty hallway, pinning you to the nearest wall before connecting his lips with yours. 

-You let a surprised gasp which gave him the opportunity to slip his tongue into your mouth and deepen the kiss, making you grasp onto his shirt as your knees gave out. 

-After what felt like an eternity he let you go for air before attacking your jaw, neck and collarbones. 

-Soon those soft kisses turned into little love bites. 

- “Sho you’re gonna leave a mark.” 

-Releasing your skin from between his teeth, he admired the reddish hickey he had left at the base of your neck. 

-He was sure your shirt’s collar could cover it up just barely. 

- “That’s the point, love.” 

-Intertwining your fingers, he led you back to class, going to his seat with a proud smirk on his lips leaving a very flustered puffy-lips-messy-haired you in his wake. 

Kirishima Eijiro 

-Kiribaby is not the jealous type. 

-Like only if you give your undivided attention to a puppy and you smother it with all your love and affection then maybe, just maybe, he will pout a bit and ask for his own fair share of love. 

-He trusts you just like Todoroki does.

-Nothing has ever happened to suggest that he should worry about others stealing you from him so he doesn’t worry. 

-Plus you are always together no matter what. 

-Almost everyone from your class knows that you are together so the shipping doesn’t start from them. 

-Oh no.

-It starts from class 3-B who has seen you talk to Tetsutetsu quite a bit this past few weeks. 

-You might wait for him outside their classroom during lunch breaks. 

-They have caught you hanging out outside of the school grounds. 

-So the only logical explanation they can come up with is that you two are either A) dating or B) have a thing for each other and are getting there. 

-Soon enough rumors start circulating. 

- “Did you know that someone from the hero course is dating that metal guy from class 3-B?”

- “Yeah yeah I heard it’s that girl Y/N. They do look really cute together, not gonna lie.”

-Eventually these rumors reach Kiri’s ears and they kinda get to him.

-He knows that you haven’t been hanging out extra with Tetsutetsu since every time you guys go out he is always with you. 

-You are the type of couple who does everything together, literally. 

-Apart from being in different agencies ya’ll are holding hands almost 24/7.

-So he really doesn’t get what everyone is talking about. 

-Mineta doesn’t help. 

-He really doesn’t. 

-He starts making scenarios about what you do while Kirishima is out of the dorms; how you have wrapped both homies around your finger and toying with them. 

-Oh the very vivid scenes he creates with all three of you in a…. compromising position. 

-Kirishima hates that most of all. 

-The words coming out of Mineta’s mouth disgust him to no end and soon enough he is walking to your dorm ready to talk this through. 

-Opening the door you greet your boyfriend with a smile and a quick peck but you immediately know what is on his mind. 

- “Baby what are we gonna do?” 

-You basically whine at the question. 

-He spends the whole night at your dorm brainstorming ideas until you both pass out on your floor. 

-And your solution to the problem? 

-Ignore the whole thing and continue on with your lives. 

-He suggested maybe leaving a mark somewhere *like our boy Sho* but you shot him down saying that they would just think Tetsutetsu did it. 

-After Monoma catches you in your classroom making out on your desk though the rumors soon die out. 

Bakugou Katsuki

-Crazy boom boom boy. 

-Your relationship is a secret because he doesn’t want to deal with all the other idiots gushing over your relationship and getting all up in your business. 

-Your relationship is a sacred thing he has sworn to protect and he won’t let Mineta’s ugly ass hands get anywhere near it. 

-Gonna taint it even with his thoughts. 

-Guard dog Bakugou bark bark. 

-It’s fairly easy to maintain a secret relationship with him. 

-Sure he might be a tiny bit calmer with you and maybe just maybe his eyes linger on you during training but yeah he treats you just like he treats all the other extras he is surrounded by. 

-Now, Bakugou is kinda *read a lot* jealous in general. 

-He doesn’t like when people he doesn’t fully trust or like, talk to you or are close to you. 

-He has butted in on your conversations with Todoroki one too many times and the poor crispy baby is so confused like why are you like this? 

-I just want the chemistry notes please let me get them in peace for once.

-You have chastised him about that manier times but your resolve melts when he pouts *YES HE POUTS AT YOU RWIHPWIE* before wrapping his strong arms around you. 

- “I just don’t wanna lose you, dumbass.” 

-You can barely make out his words as his face is buried in your stomach but you heard him and now you are tearing up at the pure emotion he is showing at these moments. 

-At the end of the day though, he trusts you. 

-He may not trust the other horny extras around you but he fully trusts you. 

-There’s no doubt about that. 

-You can imagine ,though, the instant rage he felt when he heard the girls talking about you and Deku. 

- “They do make a great couple.” 

- “Have you seen how they look at each other?” 

- “Good for her, Deku is perfect boyfriend material.” 

-First of all, how dare you, second hold the fuck up…..when did this become a WhoRe hOuSe?!?!?!?!  

-Legit someone has to shake him out of his stupor after that one. 

-You look at Deku in a certain way? 

-Fucking DEKU?!?!?! 

-THoughts are swirling in his mind almost pouring out of his ears when he hears the voice. 

-That annoying ass voice that he has engraved in his brain since childhood. 

-And the moment his eyes land upon Deku and you speaking, he sees red. 

-He is pouncing on Deku in -5 seconds, the poor green haired boy completely unaware of what hit him, literally. 

-They are on the floor wrestling on another, you screaming at Katsuki to stop and get his shit together while your boyfriend is spewing curse after curse at the OFA user simultaneously asking what the hell he was doing with HIS girlfriend. 

-Aizawa had to break them up. 

-They both got detention even though Deku did literally nothing. 

-Katsuki was denied cuddles for a whole week and he was set on explaining duty now that the cat was out of the bag. 

Midoriya Izuku 

-Izuku is the best boyfriend anyone could ask for. 

-He is loyal, shows emotions, is good at communicating with you, has incredible date ideas although he is kinda forgetful at times and his packed schedule doesn’t leave enough time to spend with you, at least not as much as he wants, but he always tries to make up for it in other ways.

-You love how much trust he puts in you. 

-You couldn’t be more grateful. 

-But Izuku has his insecurities. 

-At times it becomes hard for him to understand why exactly you’ve chosen him to love when you could have anyone you wanted in this school. 

-He can’t wrap his pretty little head around the reason why you stay with him when the only thing you get out of all this is others saying you deserve better than some crybaby. 

-It has become his mission to prove to you that he isn’t what others say he is; he isn’t some crybaby, he is a hero in training who won’t hesitate to risk his life for you. 

-You have reassured him multiple times that you don’t care what others say.

-You fell in love with him, him and all of his flaws. 

-No one told you that you should fall for him and no you didn’t agree to date him out of pity. 

-Most of the time you manage to erase those thoughts from his mind replacing them with the warm feeling of your love.

-But there comes a time when no matter what you say, the words of other people will get the best of him and it will be a struggle to build himself back up. 

-He is thankful to have you by his side during those moments because then he truly feels weak, he feels helpless, he knows these things shouldn’t bother him. 

-He loves you and you love him end of story, but they do get to him. 

-One of the worst times he questioned if he was good enough was during your third year. 

-Being in the support department you couldn’t be by his side 24/7 but you did always manage to see him during breaks to the point the whole class knew you and slowly became your friends. 

-The thing is they thought you two were also friends; neither had ever mentioned your relationship and things felt so comfortable between you that they assumed that you were really close friends. 

-Izuku had suggested keeping your relationship on the down low; him being in the hero course and having created rather the reputation, he was afraid that you would be dragged into something dangerous. 

-Plus All Might advised you two to keep it a secret and All Might’s words are law. 

-Izuku loved how well you got along with his friends, it meant that when he revealed your relationship they would all welcome you with open arms. 

-What he didn’t expect though was for them to start shipping you with someone else. 

-For some weird reason the girls of his class started obsessing over your interactions with Bakugou and soon after that they started trying to get you two alone in the same room, much to your dismay. 

-In reality, Bakugou was the only person who knew about your relationship. 

-He had ran into you as you were leaving Izuku’s dorm room, catching you two kiss goodnight. 

-Bakugou, as much as he disliked Izuku, would never get in the way of your relationship and he hated this ship shit as much maybe even more than you did. 

-Izuku was ready to crawl into a whole and die. 

-You had to stay in his room for almost a whole month to calm him down completely, him flying you to your own building in the morning so you don’t get in trouble. 

-It was a difficult time aand his classmate’s comments didn’t help one bit. 

-The tipping point was when he overheard Mina devising a plan of setting you guys up. 

-He walked down to the common room the next day with you next to him, hands intertwined, a hickey barely visible under the hem of HIS shirt, shocking everyone in the vicinity. 

-A new ship was created *after they harassed you for answers*

Opposites Attract by @mindninjax : This is an INCREDIBLE soulmate/college AU that Marquie wrote for a Secret Santa exchange because she is an absolute angel. It's sweet and sexy and so, so well-written. Marquie does the college AU thing so well. I just wanted to live inside this story.

Smart Mouth by @dymphnasprose : This story is boiling lava, hot-pocket-filling-fresh-out-of-the-microwave hot. Bakugou is your next door neighbour with a SERIOUSLY bad attitude and you've got the eponymous smart mouth that knocks him on his ass. The banter in this fic and the dynamic is ADDICTING and the smut will make you throb.

how to set fires by @hawnks : This is another really gorgeous slow build of tender affection and intimate fondness. I really liked the way that Mint captures Katsuki in this. The imagery in this is really soft and special and the romance is sweet but subtle.

Shouto Todoroki

Siberia by @hoe-doroki : Another one that you NEED to check out, even if you've never felt so much as a tingle for Shouto before. Beta-ing this story for Ana was the best thing that ever happened to me. She makes you fall in love with Shou through the eyes of a reader that you also want to fall in love with. It's an incredible ride and you will love every moment.

Izuku Midoriya

one single thread of gold tied me to you by @spacelabrathor : This is A/B/O like I've never read it before. Cee toes the line between soft alpha!deku and ALPHA alpha!deku with devastating precision and the resulting story will sweep you off your feet. It is a masterclass in sexual tension and sweet pining and again, even if you've never spared Deku a single thought, you need to read this one.

Sunlight by @hoe-doroki : This is a quick little read that captures some sweet post-nap loving with an older-coded husband!deku. Ana's crafted an incredibly vivid scene here and I've re-read this story sO many times because it's such a lovely little world. It captures peace and soft love and I am in love.

Hanta Sero

Hero Santa by @lord-explosion-baku : This is the fic that made me fall for Sero. I really love the way he's captured in this as the sweet, funny and nurturing best-friend-turned-lover. There are lots of sweet moments in this and some heartwarming, goofy, giggly sex that turns me to mush every time i read it. If you read this, you'll fall for him too- guaranteed.

Words on Glass by @whats-her-quirk : This is a VERY sexy quarantine roommate fic with some really lovely moments of tension and desire. All culminating in some steamTASTIC shower sex. Sero is absolutely irresistible in this fic. And the roommates trope will absolutely never get old, especially with somebody like him.

Denki Kaminari 

Finish Line by @whats-her-quirk : This is another one of my favourite college AUs! Denki stars as your sexually-experienced but tender-as-hell best friend who finds out that you've never had an orgasm before. The friends-to-lovers softness in this is supplemented by some iNCREDIBLY sexy smut. another fic that you should read, even if you've never crushed on Denki before.

Keigo Takami

What's Said Is Said by @shadowworks *dubcon : This is a REALLY incredible Fantasy AU that features Fae!Hawks, which is a great characterization for him. The imagery in this story is out of this world- it's extremely rich and evocative. There's an eerie undertone to the entire story that is absolutely thrilling and very sexy.

Priorities by @keilemlucent : This was one of the first stories of Salem's I ever read. And even though it doesn't often show I am a SUCKER for angst. This story does a really incredible job of illustrating some of the tougher elements of a relationship with a pro like Keigo, but also walks you through a gentle (and tender, loving, sexy) solution afterward.

Dabi

Compulsion by @shadowworks *dubcon : This is one of my favourite Dabi stories out there. It's a black comedy/thriller mafia au that takes place on a chilling winter evening in the city. Dabi's characterization in this is spot on and totally irresistible. Every time he's even mentioned my heart flutters a little. And there are some guest appearances from some of your other favourites as well. This story is part one out of a series to come and I can't wait to read the rest!

I can't get over the idea of an AU where OP!Pro Hero Deku travels back in time and runs into young Endeavor (like 20 y/o Endeavor). His first thought is to avoid him because he doesn't want to mess with the timeline more than he already is but then, being the reckless person he is, he decides no- fuck it- the timeline was messed up in the first place.

So he's all glowing and crackling with energy and begin terrifying and when he speaks nine overlayed voices form the sentence "So you want to surpass All Might?" like some sort of ancient spectral force here to reap Endeavor's soul.

Young Endeavor is just like "yes?" and is kinda weirded out and wonders if this is a villain he should be fighting because he's never seen someone like... that before.

Midoriya nods all sagely, looking out into the distance as his danger sense began acting up. "I can't stay long," he sighs and then looks back at Endeavor. "The only way to surpass All Might is to be a good father and husband. If your family loves you, all else will fall into place. And if they don't, I'll find you and end you."

Endeavor immediately think that's some power of love cartoon bullshit but then Midoriya just vanishes into thin air. That does kinda freak him out. He searches for months to see if anyone else has encountered something like this but they haven't and they all think he's kind of losing his mind.

So Endeavor listens. He's kinda terrified that that thing will make good on it's promise to end him. He reads books on how to be a good husband and a good father. He gets some therapy because the books recommend it. It's like a total 180.

Years later, the Todoroki family is very happy. They're thriving. Endeavor takes over the number 1 hero position after All Might's retirement, but he doesn't let that mean he ignores his duties at home.

The closest he's ever been to seeing the monstrosity again was his brief encounters with All for One. The energy had been so very similar, but All for One was definitely not the deity that had spoke to him all those years ago.

Endeavor has met Shouto's friend Midoriya on many occasions. He comes over often before they're moved into the dorms. And he interns with Endeavor at Shouto's request. So he thinks he knows him pretty well. He had the true beginnings of a hero. A little naive, but young people deserved a little faith in the world.

That is until he sees Midoriya fight against Shigaraki. Suddenly that same feeling of unease overcomes him. Before his eyes, he can see this happy, plucky kid who he's known for months transform into the being who promised to end him should he get out of line all those years ago.

To say Endeavor is shaken to his core would be putting it lightly. He's not sure how it's possible, but he does know that he will not be getting on the bad side of Midoriya Izuku any time soon.

I have a different take on that teen Touya and Shouto panel. I think it represents two sides of the same coin but also points out their different upbringings despite being brought up in the same house. Similar yet opposite. I think Shouto does already understand Touya and he already does want to save him, I know everyone wants him to say the word save but he made his intentions clear when he said he wanted to go to dinner some time with him, you don't go to dinner with someone who isn't saved.

While there is a very clear pattern and set up of Kid:Villain, that doesn’t necessarily mean all of their statements will all be the same. That would just be boring.

I still think all 3 kids are still in different levels of certainty on whether they can do it or not, but they all WANT to, and that’s what matters.

Just like how Deku and Ochacko haven’t said the exact same thing as each other, Shouto hasn’t said the same thing as either of them either.

I think what matters is that they’re all in that “oh shit we should probably do something about this” mindset. Deku said it outright what he wants to do. Which is good enough.

I honestly think the purpose of only Deku being so straight forward about it is to implant the idea to readers that:

“Hey, if Shigaraki can be saved, then maybe these other two can too, you’ll just have to wait and find out ∠( ᐛ 」∠)＿ “

Like, I know it’d be satisfying for all 3 of them to say it, but really when you think about it from a writing perspective it makes more sense to leave some doubt or question in people’s minds. I mean after chapter 305 came out people were still arguing over whether Toga and Dabi would be saved (Dabi is still a hot debate topic even now 🤨), which means there is still mystery and suspense left. Which is good.

“I haven't seen him since dinner last night,” Dunceface volunteered, successfully distracting himself from the math homework Katsuki was supposed to be explaining.

togaocha is pretty nice, but they just dont get enough interaction (as far as i’ve watched). in an au if they had more one-on-one interaction, i think it could have happened

BnHA Chapter 291: The Endeavor Pamphlet

Previously on BnHA: Dabi showed up atop Gigantomachia’s back and was all “you’ll never guess who I really am!” and the readers humored him and were all “who?” and he was all “TODOROKI TOUYA” and we were all “WOW └(・。・)┘ OH MY GOSH I WOULD NEVER HAVE GUESSED”, except for Shouto and Enji who were GENUINELY SHOCKED. Anyway so Touya was all “and guess what I’m doing right now!” and before anyone could even try, he was all, “STREAMING MY EMMY-NOMINATED MINISERIES ‘HELLO, I’M EVIL BUT ALSO TRAGIC AND SEXY, NOW LET ME TELL YOU ALL ABOUT MY DAD WHO SUCKS’’, THAT’S WHAT.” And everyone was all “oh my god” and Touya was all “ヽ(⌐■_■)ノ♪” for basically the rest of the chapter, and that’s pretty much it! Today on BnHA: Horikoshi introduces Baby Touya, the world’s most enchantingly sweet character, and is immediately all, “I sure can’t wait to tell you guys all about how his fucking jaw burnt off.” Thankfully he doesn’t (YET), and we cut back to the present pretty quickly, where Dabi explains how he took all of his brain cells that should have been used to stop him from pouring bleach over his head, and instead put them all toward his big brain plot of releasing an elaborate video detailing Endeavor’s various abuses and crimes, and even throwing Hawks under the bus as well because WHY NOT. He then leaps off of Gigantomachia’s back (like I said, no brain cells) all set to blast them with a Prominence Burn, only to be stopped by none other than THE LEGEND HIMSELF, MOTHERFUCKING BEST, PRETTIEST, NICEST, MOST OUTSTANDING MOTHERFUCKING JEANIST. Who’s no doubt outraged by the crime against hair he witnessed only moments earlier. GO GETTIM JEANY BOI.

so I haven’t had time to answer any of them because this has been the stupidest week, but I just wanted to tell you guys that I received no fewer than nine asks about Dabi’s hair. which, in a week filled with election memes and tumblr’s most cursed fandom briefly rising back up from the dead, is a pretty impressive feat for him if you ask me. like, I know I was making fun of it basically nonstop, but it sure did generate a lot of discussion so maybe I should rethink my opinions on Dabi’s PR strategies now, idk

I just want to take a moment to appreciate that Horikoshi Kouhei did one of two things here. either (1) he planned it out FROM THE VERY START that Touya would be born with red hair Because Fire Powers, but would then have his hair turn white due to trauma, thus making the Dabi/Touya connection very slightly less obvious, although Let’s Be Real Who Are We Kidding. OR, (2) the anime got it wrong and gave him red hair, and rather than allowing this plot hole to continue to exist, Horikoshi took it upon himself to concoct this elaborate storyline and pretend it was never a plot hole at all! in which case I sure hope someone at Bones is sending him a VERY nice Christmas card this year. got this man sweeping up all your messes for you. you’re just lucky he has some sort of wild compulsion to address these things

interesting! we suspected as much, I think, with the clues that Ending dropped, and the little flashback right after the name reveal. still not clear how Dabi found out about it though!

looooool okay here we go, breaking out the heavy-handed holier-than-thou shit now

you know, I do find it interesting how trying to model themselves after All Might’s noble Symbol of Peace image has kind of ended up being the heroes’ undoing here. like, I could write a whole essay on this, but what it basically boils down to is that they were all trying too hard to be perfect. All Might went out there and did his thing and was amazing, and so the powers-that-be built an entire system centered around this seemingly-infallible person, and they acted like the system was infallible as well. and so most of the population ended up becoming complacent over the years, and meanwhile the people who were unfortunate enough to fall through the cracks understandably wound up disillusioned and perceiving the heroes as these false idols

anyway, but I think one positive takeaway from this is that the new up-and-coming generation of heroes represent a breakaway from that system. like, imo what we’re witnessing is the downfall of the Perfect Hero, and the rise of the imperfect hero. and this new generation doesn’t shy away from their failures or pretend like they never happened. they pretty much can’t pretend, because their failures are all right out there in the open for everyone to see. Bakugou Katsuki, just to name one example off the top of my very biased head, has had his own personal character journey basically play out right in front of the media’s eyes. his humiliation at the sports festival, his kidnapping by the League, and all of the fallout afterward. this isn’t someone who can ever go out there and convince the world that he’s perfect. but what he can do, instead, is show the world that he’s trying. that he’s trying with everything he has to do his best, to be the best. rather than this untouchable godlike image, it’s instead the image of someone painfully human who is nonetheless striving with everything he’s got to keep moving forward, flaws and all, and work his way to the top

and ultimately I think that’s going to be a much more positive image to send out to the world when all’s said and done. because rather than merely inspiring awe, heroes like that inspire people to take action themselves. or at least that’s what I hope! and not just Bakugou, but the others as well. we’ve got Shouto, whose own personal trauma is being aired in front of the whole nation even as I sit here ranting. we’ve got Deku, who cries at the drop of a hat, and who fought to become a hero despite being quirkless (and I think it’s only a matter of time before that eventually becomes public knowledge as well). tl;dr because I’m getting way too long-winded here, but these kids have effectively been humanized in a way that the old generation never was, and I think that’ll go a long way towards building trust between them and the people they’ll someday be protecting, and inspiring the next generation in hopefully a much healthier way

anyway so where were we. ...oh yes, Dabi was explaining that heroes only protect themselves, and is presumably building up to his grand conclusion of “therefore you should all just let the villains take over and burn down the world”

Sick Midoriya x Reader

Warnings: being sick, passing out

Y/N assumed something was wrong on day one. She noticed how every day Deku got paler and paler. There wasn’t much of a difference each day, but it was there.

“Are you ok Deku?” she asked him one day.

“Yeah, why would you ask?” Midoriya answered. Y/N looked away.

“Well, you just, I don’t know. You seem a bit paler than usual.” Midoriya shook his head and giggled.

“I’m sure it’s just the lighting. Besides, all of our training has been inside, I haven’t been in the sun for a while.” Y/N smiled as well.

“Alright, if you say so.” The two continued their walk to class, hands intertwined.

Deku was slightly paler the next day, and he kept growing paler as each day passed. Y/N tried to brush it off, but it concerned her. Deku was always a clumsy person, but not as bad as he was now. She noticed how he always kept two hands on everything he was holding. She noticed how he seemed to almost stumble over his own feet.

It was starting to get so noticeable that even Bakugou said something.

“Hey (hair color)!” he barked towards Y/N in the hall one day after class. She turned around and waited for the hothead to get to her.

“Hey Bakugou, what’s up?” The two continued to walk.

“What’s up with dumb nerd?” the boy spat. “He isn’t himself.” Y/N frowned.

“I know. He seems different. I’ve tried asking him about it but he says that he just hasn’t been in the sun recently. I’m beginning to think that he’s sick.” Bakugou scoffed, looking away with his hands in his pockets.

“Speak of the devil.” The two looked down the hall to see Deku stumble over his own foot and drop all of his belongings. “He’s become such a clutz.”

Aizawa and class 1A were in one of the training facilities for class. As Aizawa was in the hall talking to the teacher that would be helping him, the class was sent into the main room for training. Y/N, Izuku, and Todoroki were all walking beside each other as they walked into the building. All of a sudden Deku’s foot catches on the slight raise of concrete and he pitches forward bonelessly, not even making a move to catch himself. Y/N and Todoroki dropped down beside him as soon as he hit the ground.

“Deku?” Y/N called, rolling her boyfriend onto his back. “Deku?” Shouto tapped on the boy’s shoulder to try to get a response. When one didn’t come, he lowered his hand to feel if Deku was even breathing.

“Someone get Mr. Aizawa!” Iida nods and takes off down the hall towards their teacher.

“What’s going on?” Y/N questioned, worried. She started to panic. I knew he was sick from the start! I could have stopped all of this.

“He’s struggling to breathe,” Todoroki answered. Iida and Aizawa burst into the room.

“What’s going on?” Aizawa questioned, dropping down with his students.

“H-He just collapsed,” Y/N answered shakily. She was afraid this happened because of her. 

“It sounds like he is struggling to breathe,” Todoroki added on. Aizawa’s head hovered above Midoriya’s chest.

“Someone get Recovery Girl!” Aizawa ordered. Iida ran off again. “The rest of you, clear the room!” As the rest of the class filed out of the room, Y/N began to protest. She didn’t want to leave her boyfriend. Todoroki stood behind her, grabbing her shoulders.

“Come on, Y/N,” he said softly, pulling her back slightly. The girl shook her head, starting to cry.

“Please, get her out Todoroki,” Aizawa asked. The boy nodded. He crouched down and whispered in Y/N’s ear.

“Come on Y/N. He’ll be ok. They’re getting Recovery Girl as we speak.” He went to pick up the girl when she started to fight against him.

“No!” she screamed. Shouto’s grip on her tightened as he dragged her out of the room.

“Do you mind staying with him?” Aizawa asked. Him and Y/N were standing outside of Midoriya’s dorm room. “You will be excused from your classes and I will have someone bring you your missed work.” Y/N nodded furiously.

“Of course!” Aizawa nodded, opening the door and leading Y/N into Deku’s room. “Most of what you need is over here on the dresser. I have written down how much of each medicine he should take and when he should take them. There’s also a box of tissues and a glass of water. If you need anything or have any questions, feel free to call Recovery Girl.” Y/N nodded and sat down on the bed beside Izuku. “I need to go to class. Thank you, Y/N.” The girl nodded and Aizawa closed the door behind him.

Y/N looked down at her boyfriend and ran a hand through his sweaty hair, sighing. Standing again, she changed into a pair of Izuku’s sweats and a t-shirt. Y/N walked over to all of the medicine on the dresser and set alarms for when they needed to be taken. When she finished, Y/N crawled into bed next to the sick boy. When she had settled down, Izuku stirred.

“Y/N?” he muttered quietly, wincing. Y/N resumed running her hand through his hair.

“Yeah Deku?” she soothed.

“What happened?” he groaned, covering his eyes from the light.  Y/N giggled.

“I told you you were sick,” she scowlded. “You passes out before class and Mr. Aizawa asked me to stay with you. You scared me so bad that Todoroki had to drag me away after you fell.”

“I’m sorry,” Deku apologized. “Will you stay with me?”

Y/N smiled.

“Of course.”
