I’ll not tolerate Hug Slander™️ 😤 So allow me to give you a needlessly thorough overview on how I, as a physically affectionate, some would say overly so, person feels about hugs :3

Hugs are my personal favorite form of affection :3 A hug can be just as tender, meaningful, and intimate as a kiss. Don’t get me wrong, a kiss between Summer and Tai woulda no doubt been adorable and sweet. But, from where I’m sitting, that hug looks JUST AS sweet and adorable. And, also, haven’t we been saying for other ships, like Renora and Bumblebee, that “Characters don’t HAVE to kiss on screen for them to have established feelings for each other >_>” I don’t mind the Rosebird theory, I mostly think it’s funny 😊, but I dunno... this feels a BIT like a stretch, because a hug CAN be just as cute and emotional as a kiss.

Yes, I know I’m talkin’ too much and definitely overreacting 😊 But I dunno... feels a bit unfair to say the aforementioned “a couple doesn’t have to kiss to be canon >_>” only to then pretty much say “This couple didn’t kiss, therefore they aren’t canon” y’know? .-.

putting my thoughts together... looking back, the whole "raven left, and summer and tai got together because summer was there for him. then ruby sort of happened as a result of that" never really sat right with me.

and with this scene it does so even less.

i kinda expected them to kiss farewell, you know, having thought of them as being together for the past *checks watch* 8 years? but... they hugged.

to me, it makes me think they are together because the two of them are raising Raven's kids. Together, but not together-together, yknow?

it does feel like raven's words here aren't just because of summer leaving yang.

"what about... you're just gonna leave them?"

"you're one to talk"

Them. not just yang. them. And since Ruby's just far too similar to Summer to say that she's Raven's and Tai's... yeah. I wanna believe that she's Rosebird's daughter.

@stormysprite thank you so so so much for your ask!! likewise, i am SO sorry for not responding until now; life has been super hectic!!

So, if you've seen/heard of EPIC: The Musical, this is a shameless reference to Open Arms 😅 The first time i was introduced to EPIC was actually because someone said they head-cannoned Wars voice as Odysseus, and i listened and thought "oh my goodness this is so accurate!" so when i heard Open Arms, i immediately thought of Wars and Sky. So i guess this is something i have been dying to try, since i thought of it the first time i heard the song!

As for my favorite LU character, i love them all equally, and couldn't pick a favorite despite thinking about it for a looonngggg time lol.

So, I have Wars looking a little surprised here, and you can interpret it one of two ways:

1: Wars is startled because Sky comes up behind him and points out that he is tense (Wars just wasn't expecting it)

2: Sky actually bursts into song and Wars is just like 0_0
