i have this headcanon that Bruce still calls Dick Robin or Boy Wonder when they work together and he still calls Babs Batgirl from time to time because to him they are.

Hearing Dick crack a joke while doing a flip and karate chopping a goon flies him back in time to when it was just the two of them, the Batman and Robin days

When Babs crackles in his comm with information and maybe a quick quipp, thats batgirl in his ear, scolding him for getting hurt

And Dick might not show any outward shift at the name, might not do more than follow the barked order of 'robin on your left!' and babs wont remark the different name, the 'thank you batgirl' instead of oracle, but maybe Dick stands a little straighter, maybe Babs sits up a little, preens

Because to them Bruce isn't this maniac who kidnapped express adopted a bunch of children, he's just bruce. their bruce. their batman. And they are his Batgirl and Robin. His Boy and Girl Wonder.

Don't mind me, just thinking about Colin's hero complex and how Marina WANTED a hero, but when he couldn't fulfill that role for her, she moves on, and the next time he sees her, she tells him she no longer needs saving, no longer needs him. Compared to Penelope telling Colin she doesn't need him to save her, and that all she wants is his love because she loves him exactly as he is.

Like the parallel of the two women he's pursued romantically telling him they don't need saving is so good and also very telling of how they view him. Pen has always seen Colin, and understood him better than anyone, so unlike Marina who seems to view Colin's hero complex as immaturity or naivety, Pen is able to see it for what it is. She was able to know exactly what to say to him to help him understand and to reassure him of the genuineness of her feelings.

there’s something SO specific about smg’s performance in mid season seven where she goes like. almost entirely neutral around spike in a way buffy doesn’t naturally, so it comes off extremely intentional and like. the way you can tell buffy finally understands how she feels is that she very specifically does not let it show but she also like. holds herself around him like she knows he can tell anyways? i am delusional but there’s Something with her faces around him that are so so so aching it’s crazy…… “i can be alone with you here” but physically because she lets herself be Still and just Look

Think, a soft one would probably be when one of them returns from a long mission and immediately falls asleep and in the morning is still tired but wants the closeness that was so lacking. Like, just lazy rocking, some hands, I think, nothing more.

Also, I'm a strong believer that Tobirama has praise kink, and every passionate sex for them includes too many compliments from Madara's side, aha.

You're so true about rare occasions, though. Think they're both too intense for each other's good (especially Madara). After a near death experience, while the adrenaline is still raging in their blood? Think both of them will scream at the other in anger and too much concern, and the whole thing ends with the same bruising sex, maybe even more because both of them on the edge.

For them to really have a passionate sex full of love... It might take something really terrible like a serious injury or loss (sorry, I can't see it any other way😔) and in this way inw of them shows that he is still here, that he cares, that they have each other and they do it without any words.

I've been told my comic feels like it was written by AI.

I suppose I'm not trying to be groundbreaking. I'm not interested in pioneering genres. I'm not writing for the purpose of literary analysis.

But written by AI...?

I'm already someone who has my humanity questioned. My identity erased. My existence disrespected. It could be worse. Anything could be worse.

But AI?

I spend weeks writing single scenes, toiling over the implications of single lines. I have goals. My writing has intent.

If you cared to read deeper, perhaps you'd see the themes. Maybe then you'd see the value. If you tried to analyze it maybe you'd see something there.

Maybe you'd see me.

Someone told me my comic seemed like it was written by AI.

And my humanity was denied one step further in that my voice was not seen in the work I've poured years of my life into.
