What THIS means is that at some point in the 2030s the world's climate will shift irreparably and '10s icon Macklemore will rise again from his onyx sarcophagus in the catacombs of Old Seattle. Make sure when he does that you have some sacrifical hand-me-down clothes ready, lest he smite ye.

I think people born after Gen Jones often don't realize that hippies weren't uniformly leftist

...nor that 60s/70s politics weren't necessarily "the left vs the right" and also moderns aren't aware of all of the different factions and subcultures of 60s/70s counterculture, youth, and radicalism. Like, I've really been sitting with the fact that Modern Libertarian Boomer Who Is Ex Hippie was really probably always legibly Libertarian.

'Skinny Genes' by Eliza Doolittle came out in 2010, but sounds distinctly Lily Allen/Kate Nash Brit whimsy-pop which only existed in the Myspace era, therefore making it kinda creaky for the time.

It's actually working in the Latent Space that made me realize a ton of this stuff that I'm talking about and it's in ways I can't entirely elucidate, but I'll tell you this. You can tour through what will basically be an average of an era's image systems, which will be informed by TV/movies, news, stuff from Madison Avenue, propaganda. A giant chunk of my AI obsession is because of decadeology.

And what's come up doing this is that it's actually much easier to make an actually diverse crowd scene if I'm asking for 1970s imagery. No problem. It gets harder later and requires a TON more fine-tuning. I have to really, really work at it in ways I don't have to with exactly one era. 1970s references in your prompts (the more, the better) are also the hack for getting the system to give you more nudity and more sensuality. Make of this what you will.

Haven't decided what I'm doing yet.

Nuke this account entirely. Probably the best for opsec. There are too many breadcrumbs linking this to my pro/artist/writer account for me to really maintain an account on which I do any personal blogging or reflection. (If I've given you the info for that privately then you can follow that to my Twitter, I talk about decadeology fairly openly as a retrofuture creator.)

Just walk away from it and leave it here but not maintain it. That might suit my needs too. Probably not the best for opsec. But... suits my need to not read Tumblr posts or culture war stuff. I can't control for what I can interact with on Tumblr the way I can in other spaces.

Anyway, a giant chunk of you have already followed me to where else I live on the internet, I will chew on this for a little while and make a choice.
