What was the best decade for incest content in your opinion? I noticed a ton of it in the 90s were I feel like more "dark" topics were being explored, vs the more "childish/naive" early 2000s. And then I guess there was a bit of a revival with the popularity of GOT in the late 2000s-2010s. I once read a paper of Jacobean tragedies that said incest as a narrative instrument always became popular when our relationship to power got more complex and changing and idk if that's really accurate, but I think it's fun to think about from a decadology standpoint

I would have to say the 2010s produced a lot of examples and most of my favorite English language content.

Once I've finally watched all of the canon incest movies I've been holding on to, I should make some kind of diagram. It would be interesting.
