Notes:
Excellent video of this show from the orchestra. Some heads are seen but not obstructing anything, except on the right side of the screen when they are extremely stage left. Colors are absolutely beautiful. Some washout but it's very minimal. Overall a near perfect capture.

Beetlejuice - Broadway Remount
December 14, 2022 - Medium Observation
Video
Cast:
Alex Brightman (Beetlejuice), Dana Steingold (u/s Lydia Deetz), Kerry Butler (Barbara Maitland), David Josefsberg (Adam Maitland), Adam Dannheisser (Charles Deetz), Natalie Charle Ellis (u/s Delia Deetz), Michelle Aravena (Miss Argentina), Kelvin Moon Loh (Otho), Danny Rutigliano (Maxie Dean), Zonya Love (Maxine Dean/Juno), Brooke Leigh Engen (u/s Girl Scout)
Notes:
Very nice video of Dana from the left orchestra. The video is on a dutch angle but it doesn't take too much away from the video. There is a loud obnoxious drunk lady behind me who wouldn't stop screaming at the actors during the show. Alex told her to shush at the puppet show. She stopped in Act 2 for the most part. Overall a really nice video of this show nearing its end.

Dub or Sub for Aggressive Retsuko? I'm a very mixed on the dub The only one I like are Tara Platt as Washimi (it's perfect), G.K. Bowes as Gori (Perfect as well), Ben Diskin as Haida (a good netflix anime regular), Josh Petersdorf as Roadhog (I can't call him Ton because he's just Roadhog), Todd Haberkorn as Komiya (Too perfect), and Debra Cardona as Tsubona (good choice). I love Erica Mendez but I don't see her as Retsuko and Fenneko voice hate due to listening to the sub short more.
All in all, I thought the dub was fine. I have yet to watch the original Japanese voices so I can't overall compare the two. That being said... The only character voice I have issues is Resasuke. Because all I can hear is dub!Saitama's YouTube abridged series-worthy acting.

Why is this important? - To serve as a physical tribute/document to the stellar talent of women working creatively today, as LFF blog serves as a platform for them online. - To display the wide range of women working creatively -- not just diversity of media, subject matter or location/background/culture, but of perspective within the arts and within feminism. - To let readers find work that grabs them to look the artists up to find out more about their work as a patron, collaborator or fan. - To introduce new conversations between works as they are curated in the book. - To be a beautiful and inspiring book to leaf through or relish in.
