First recorded-live meteorite strike on Earth!

Imagine one of these space rocks blasting through space at some 30,000 mph, blazing through the atmosphere, and making it all the way to the ground... and you're in the way.

For an idea of how that looks and sounds, check out the video recorded from a person's front-door cam:

That's a pretty hard smack. Were it not for Earth's atmosphere, that thing would have punched a hole in the cement. Also note the "smoke" - probably gas from vaporizing carbon dioxide - puffing out as the meteorite shatters against the ground.

This is how sky-free worlds end up with so many craters.

Still working my way through @theinfamousdoctorf's SAMS AU fic "Eclipse Meets His Match", so here's an illustration of that one scene where Sun and Eclipse is having a rather sweet moment until Lunar walks in on them ready to kill Eclipse on sight due to circumstances.

This mental image of that wouldn't leave my head until I drew it.

So, I’m Re-watching Onyx Equinox...

And I get to the scene in episode 9 where Yun gives Izel a much-needed “stop hitting yourself” pep talk, proclaiming that no one who truly cares for Izel could be disappointed in how he’s been handling the immense task the Gods have given him. Cue the Yunzel hug, symbolizing not only the ever-growing bond between these two (👀), but how Nelli would likely respond were she present.

And so the two rush off to join a friendly game of ulama. Pan up, and we spy Quetzalcoatl’s emissary, the white heron—Nelli—who has been listening in to the whole conversation. She flies off, and I manage to catch this shot of her as she does so.

Can we consider this a happy, “smiling” heron? Because it sure looks like a happy heron! Nelli is SO proud of you, Izel, and don’t you forget it!

(And keep it up with the Onyx Equinox love, people! Sofia, the cast and crew, and ALL of us fans deserve a season 2!)
