Ten years ago I stumbled upon a free The Dead Weather show and 3rd Man Record pop-up when I saw this long line forming in DTLA at The Regent (when it was still a hole in the wall dilapidated Old theater. I asked what’s up from some girl and she gave me the lowdown). I joined the line immediately. I shot the show with a Nikon D60 (ugh). Then after the show Jack White and band mates closely passed by me while exiting The Man Records before leaving. Jack and stood next to one another for a couple minutes. 随分前に和訳＆解説した Dead Weatherは、情念のバンドだとLyraは思っている。

ヴォーカルにAlison(女性)がいるから、とか言いたくはないのだけど「色恋沙汰ですったもんだしてますわ〜」感がハンパない歌詞と激しいギターがそう思わせてしまうの。

で、こちらのThe Raconteursは、Popさがある土着ぽいバンドだと感じてる。

それは、カントリーやブルースぽい南部なサウンドだと思うし、あと男連中だけで集まって愚痴り大会してる気がするからだ。

それも酒の席で話している感じ。

でもそこには妬みや嫉みある模様。

うーむ、男もネチネチ相手をやり込めちゃうのか？と観察しながら聴いてLyraは楽しんでる。

でも、Jackがネチネチな男子の歌詞を書いて泥臭いサウンドをすると、何故かオシャレになるから不思議〜。

これもJack Whiteの才能ね一つか？

Ok so I know every other person has a theory about this but idc I’m still gonna talk about it. Pretty much everyone agrees that Will is giving mike a “wtf” look. Well that look reminded me of a song on his Spotify playlist (go fucking listen to it). I Can’t Here You by DeadWeather.

These lyrics definitely imply that Will sees through Mike. Maybe Will wants mike to out loud say he's sorry for ignoring him. Maybe, this is just like a wild guess that later in the season mike implies that he loves Will and will is like “I don’t want a confession I want an apology Mike.”
