HLAW Day 3: AU Hana

Wood nymph Hana Lee!

Sometimes being royalty was a drag. Finding out you were in an arranged marriage with a wood nymph princess in attempt to foster peace between the wood folks and your kind put a big damper on any plans you had for your future. What if your spouse was a complete ass? What if they belittled, mocked and humiliated you? What if they were abusive? What if...? Your thoughts were interrupted by your arrival to your kingdom's gardens where you were informed your fiancée would be waiting for you.

"Your highness" the guards bowed as you walked past the entrance. You walked through and slowly made your way towards the center of the gardens, your thoughts buzzing like bees in your mind, your soul in turmoil. And then, you stopped in your tracks. There she was.

You would know a wood nymph from any other species. Vines wrapped around her green arms, and her hair were a twist of tree roots, but it wasn't those traits that stole the breath from your lungs. It was the beautiful brown of her eyes that were far more gentle than any eyes of your kind and the warm genuine smile that swept across her face at the sight of you.

"Oh! Hello. You must be my fiancée. It's an honor to meet you." She took your hand, the leaves on her wrist brushed your cheek as you placed a courteous kiss on her hand and the flowers in her hair turned a soft blushing pink.

"I'm Hana Lee."

Its been awhile since I've done an edit. But I really wanted to see what a wood nymph Hana would look like. And of course she's beautiful as always. I left the mc's species open to interpretation so the reader can be human, elf or whatever you want to be.

Okay so I know I haven't really participated in the theme the past two days, but this day three theme gave me the excellent opportunity to tell the world about my Modern Day Café AU (and someday, I'll find the motivation to actually write it, I swear), and no one can stop me on the internet, so here it goes:

The AU is set in London in the modern age.

It revolves around a girl and her mother running the Funtom Café, the last remnant of the Funtom Company after its owner mysteriously disappeared ages ago.

They live in an appartment above the café.

The mother is a Phantomhive on her father's side, but kept the name hidden after marriage, because it's nowadays used for some spooky fairy tale about the ancient name being cursed.

The girl's father died in a "car crash" shortly after her birth.

The girl lives a relatively normal life, working in the café and hanging with her best friend and her cat, until the forces that possibly caused the demise of the past Phantomhives shows up.

In an attempt to save her daughter's life in the struggle, the mother sacrifices herself trying to summon the being that helped the previous owner.

The fare is paid and a demon appears, who feels very nostalgic (read: annoyed) about being summoned by a Phantomhive again.

Saddened by her mother's death, she makes a contract with the demon to end the curse on her family once and for all, in exchange for her soul.

The girl, previously unaware of what was going on with this mysterious Phntomhive family, now has to learn all about it.

She asks the demon what his previous Phantomhive master called him, and he replies "Sebastian Michaelis". Much to his dismay, the girl decides to stick with that name.

They now run the café together while searching for clues on how the target of Ciel Phantomhive's revenge survived the revenge Sebastian had promised, and uncover more and more of the truth.

Meanwhile, the girl's best friend falls for Sebastian's charm, and she has to try and talk her out of it, even though Sebastain is insanely perfect in everything he does and no one can know about his true nature.

The upside for Sebastian this time around, however, is that this Phantomhive brat has a cat! And he's absolutely enamoured by it!

They visit the now rundown and ruined estate to try and find some clues, but instead they run into an old acquaintance of Sebastian, a Grim Reaper, who reveals details about the death of the girl's father, leading them to another plot twist. How will it end?
