SOLAR RETURN CHART 2024!!

Solar return charts usually last until your next one BUT because the year is almost over, i wanted to look at some of the predictions my chart indicated😸 some of them were WILD so hold on tight!!

DISCLAIMER: I am NOT a professional astrologer and these are just OBSERVATIONS I am doing purely for having fun!! My aspects or placements may not turn out like yours so don’t worry 💕 These observations were made thanks to several already written posts on here about solar return charts, my personal experience and some researches😽

VIRGO RISING: starting with the rising sign. I read on here (I’ll try my best to tag the creators), that the year you have Virgo rising on your solar return chart, will one of your busiest years, and BOY WAS I BUSY. I started college (as indicated with my packed 9th house) and every time I thought I could relax there was a new assignment to do or notes to take for a class. I was practically drowning in homework.

SATURN + NEPTUNE 7TH HOUSE: because I was so busy all the time, i barely had time to really form any romantic relationship even tho I daydreamed about it a lot (Neptune). I was rejecting people + dates left and right, because I was busy but also I am very inexperienced with relationships: so I was sorta scared of diving into them. (Saturn representing blockage and fears in the house of relationships). Another interesting point was me manifesting and visualizing a relationship with a specific man (Neptune)

9TH HOUSE STELLIUM: I not only started college this year, but I also traveled a lot! A lot of my travels were done by plane this year. I went to a whole new country, and visited some family in another country.

4TH HOUSE LORD IN THE 9TH: the 4th house sign is Jupiter, and it’s placed in the 9th house; because I am going to college in a new country, I moved away from my home country. I’m already settled in and I absolutely LOVE the city I’m studying in😸! The people there are so freaking sweet and nice!

SUN + VENUS IN 11th HOUSE: I made sooo much friends this year and I’ve gotten so much compliments 🤭 I also became so confident this year, and that reflected in my reality. Compliments from strangers were so common this year. People would literally walk up to me and tell me the most unique compliments. It wouldn’t be the 11th house if i didn’t talk about social media. I started posting so much more on my socials (which is funny because before my solar return I took a social media break). I gained so much followers and overall focus on posting + creating content. Also I took manifesting seriously this year and gotten so much of my desires.

CHIRON 8TH HOUSE: I avoided having intimate relationships so much this year���� Not necessarily a bad thing for me, but it’s very paradoxical knowing that I was wishing to have it so bad. I honestly was very avoidant and kinda scared to be intimate because I never experienced it AND before I can be intimate, I have to truly love someone intensely. That didn’t happen so I’m actually glad I wasn’t intimate with anyone. The solar return chart will run all the way to 2025 until my birthday (July 12th) so who knows 😛

JUNO 21°, 1ST HOUSE: I kid you not, a stranger that saw me at my hotel (while on vacation in a foreign country) asked my mom for my hand in marriage 😭😭 my mom speaks little English so he google translated what he needed to say to my mom💀 Juno in the 21st degree makes it interesting because it’s linked to Sagittarius: languages, foreign countries and long distance .

MOON 5°, 1ST HOUSE: I read on here (pls help me tag the creator) that planets at a 5° signify change. The moon is linked to menstrual cycles and because 2024 was a leap year, there was a change in my cycle. I also became better at regulating my emotions (I started meditating, doing breath work and Yoga) and became better at transmuting them so I could persist in my manifestation instead of having break downs about my reality.

LEO MERCURY IN 12TH HOUSE: I DID ACTING!! One of the things I manifested for myself. I did theatre and I had so much fun playing the character. The ugly side was that I was extremely drained from doing homework, coming late from rehearsal and I was barely sleeping + eating (literally had a breakdown multiple time and I was hopping they would kick me out the show). One of the directors (FUCK THAT BITCH) literally didn’t care fr and acted like she did. It’s a relief my mom came to visit the week before the big show and stayed with me till now. I was well fed and had so much energy because of it. Show went extremely well and my cast members kept mentioning how much the audience always were more responsive when I was on stage, so that made me so happy that they loved it🥹 One thing is that I’m never joining the theatre club again. It’s extremely demanding with my time and as much as I enjoyed acting, what I went through wasn’t worth my sanity😭 The next time I will be acting, I know it will be film acting instead because i didn’t enjoy theatre acting that much.

VIRGO AURA CONJUNCT ASC: this one was super interesting. People kept telling me you give off the vibe of someone who’s super intelligent, organized, confident and focused on her study. The word “aura” at the moment is very well known to mean “someone who radiates a lot of power/confidence” and people have told me I do radiate that; because of it I’ve gained a lot of suitors and admires (men and women).

PLUTO 5TH HOUSE: This one is gonna be a STRETCH but, I think Pluto here kinda explains me feeling burnt out about theatre 😭 the 5th house does govern this so I think it makes sense. 5th house also governs crushes and casual relationships, and i tried to avoid these as much as possible this year. I will say that I did have at least 1 crush this year which was super exciting knowing that I haven’t had one for 3 years. He acted like a “know it all”, was not a gentleman, did nicotine (one of my biggest turn offs) and when I finally did want to make time for him/ tried to reciprocate his feelings (because he literally loved me from the first time we met💀), he kept giving me mixed signals. I take a mixed signals as a “No” so I immediately stopped giving him any attention after that.

THE LITTLE LEGENDS

This is a blog for sharing and spreading love for the smaller Zelda games in the fandom!

For everyone crying over Spirit Tracks being forgotten, to people who wish someone else remembered the struggle to find a fourth player for Four Swords or sobbing at the end of online co-op for Tri Force Heroes – this is a home to join others in that love. Mainline and third-party Zelda games are all included!

The criteria for which Zelda games count as “small” is hard to quantify. To make things easier, we went by the numbers posted to Archive of Our Own, which has the option to disambiguate which game you’re writing for and is the current best-known fanfiction site. From there, we removed some things to try and narrow it down to core game fics and picked everything that was under 1000 works.

The resulting list of Zelda games is as follows:

Others may not be here at all because nobody has posted it under it’s own name vs a related game or “& Related Fandoms.”

While this means these numbers are not absolute, they still represent the problem: it’s hard to find content for your favourite games if it's in the list above, and we want to fix that!

WHAT DOES THAT ENTAIL?

The event we’re planning is very chill, very low-stakes way of building up interest and knowledge, and then collecting and sharing fanworks produced.

The event month will be AUGUST, 2024.

Every few days in August we’ll make a post for each game on the list (and any bonus games that were highlighted alongside the main ones), which people can reblog with a link to the fanwork they created! You can also make your own posts and tag the blog plus the game of the day but we cannot promise to see and reblog everything.

In the lead-up to August, we will be doing round-up posts for each of the above games.

Some will be doubled up and treated as “bonuses” due to their small pool of fans (CDI, the Cartoon), and if there are some we don’t know about we may take them on as suggestions!

Each of these initial game posts will include basic stats about the game: when they were released, on what hardware, where you can find them now, and what their story was. It will also include links to a walkthrough or two, for those without access to the necessary hardware.

The purpose of these posts is to be shared!

Reblog them with your favourite artwork, current fanworks you love and adore, your favourite AU they’re featured in! Share the lore you wish everyone knew, and the characters who get forgotten!

Share prompts you’ve never gotten around to using, or ones you don’t feel competent to handle!

Do not feel bad about doing this! Every exchange or event I’ve been in, people desperately wanted prompts and ideas to spark their own imagination!

The goal is for people to learn more about games that they may have never heard of before, or not had the time or ability to engage with in full on their own. And from there we can push up those numbers on AO3 for everyone to enjoy!

after seeing many misconceptions on the ages of the characters and also the general lack of knowledge on relevant key events, I thought I'd create a timeline!

A comprehensive breakdown of important dates in Repo! The Genetic Opera:

1993: Rotti Largo was born (July 14th)

2006: On April 5th, the first ever death for NOS (Neuro-Overstimulation Syndrome) was recorded. GeneCo was then founded later that month in Milan, Italy by Giuseppe Largo and Dr. Michael Whatley who eventually discovered a treatment using an experimental drug called Zydrate and genetic manipulation.

2011: Marni was born (No date)

2016: Nathan was born (No date)

2017: Blind Mag was born (July 5th)

2019: Luigi Largo was born (November 20th)

2024: Pavi Largo was born (September 29th)

2025: By this point, The Genetic Opera, an interactive TV show, was sponsored by GeneCo to promote designer organs and keep the public "status-conscious" in order to continue boosting profits.

2032: Carmela Largo/Amber Sweet was born (August 23rd)

2035: Graverobber was born (No date)

2036: Marni brings Mag to meet Rotti Largo

2039: Shilo Wallace was born (August 27th), Marni Wallace dies, Nathan becomes a repo man

2040: Mag's eye transplants (March 21st)

2048: Blind Mag's Corpus Crusade tour

2053: Tao of Mag, a charity concert event held for blindness

2056: Rotti signs his last will and testament, declaring Shilo as the sole heir of his estate (August 7th). The events of the film take place on November 7th - Nathan, Rotti, and Mag die. Shilo presumably goes missing. Amber takes over GeneCo at a later unspecified date.

Some common misconceptions cleared up by the timeline:

Mag did not receive her eyes at 19, the date listed on her repossession chart says otherwise

Marni and Mag have a relatively large age gap. At the time in which Marni brought Mag to meet Rotti, she was already 25, and Mag was only 19. I personally like to think that Marni was a singing mentor of some sort (since in Chase the Morning we see that Mag has a memory of Marni singing), and perhaps worked with disabled people and this is how they met!

The age difference between Shilo and Graves is only 4 years!

Mag and Luigi only have a two year age difference. Her being under GeneCo's thumb since she was 19 and Luigi was 17 is probably why they have a relationship.

On that topic, Nathan is only 3 years older than Luigi, there's no way him or Mag could have "baby sat" the Largos as children if they're all approximately the same age (excluding Amber, but considering Nathan had his own daughter to raise and was a repoman and Mag was a world class opera singer I still doubt that would be the case)

This one doesn't have a specific date, but I felt it should be added regardless: Pavi's face disfigurement seemingly happened very recent to events of Repo! We see several times within the film that there are posters and billboards of him with his original face, even in the pictures Rotti has he didn't have the scarring yet. The posters say that GeneCo offering face replacements will be happening in 2057. Pavi was the one in charge of that, and he was stealing faces prior to his scarring (as seen in the pictures). We also know from several sources, including Luigi himself, that Pavi's face happened because of a botched surgery. It's safe to assume this was because of the new face replacement campaign that was being offered, and it was within the last year or two before the events in the film.

─ A BRIEF HISTORY OF THE GRINDELDORE FANDOM/SHIP

This post was made for many reasons, the main two being:

1. I am a history nerd and so I thought… Why not research grindeldore fandom history?

2. I thought that it may help new people joining the fandom if maybe they were to stumble upon it or just for people to learn new things they may not have known before. And of course for fun :)

A DISCLAIMER ! I am obviously limited somewhat with the actual lack of content to base this post upon as the Grindeldore fandom is painfully smaller than that say of the marauders fandom, whose fandom history would be much easier to document. Bear this in mind while reading as I may not have dates for certain events or have been able to find certain things; perhaps some things even may be lost to time.

So here it is; a brief history of the Grindeldore fandom :)

Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was released on 21st of July 2007 and at sometime after the release Rowling would reveal Dumbledore was gay ( I however can not find a date for this )

However before even being announced as canon they had a small community and of course after the announcement they became even more popular as fanfictions and fanworks were created of them. The first known community I could find history of arose on Livejournal.com in 2007. From what I have found the last entry was made on April 7th 2021. Obviously in 2022 the fandom arose again on tiktok and other social medias before ( tragically 🥲 ) slipping popularity again.

I also know there was a popular Grindeldore discord server ‘The Greater Good’ server, that is no longer up anymore. If I remember correctly it was made in 2020 before being deleted at some point in 2024. ( however correct me if I am wrong as I was not a member! )

I unfortunately do not know of any other Grindeldore servers still standing that are as old, if not older, than that one and if there are any I assume most have been deleted now or are heavily inactive.

I have also found one of the oldest known surviving Grindeldore fanfics on AO3, written just days after Deathly Hallows was released if anyone would like to read it!

( and if you search ‘HMS The greater good’ on fanfiction.net you should be able to find a rather large portion of old Grindeldore fanfics )

─ SHIP NAMES

Most people now know this ship as Grindeldore and it is what it is commonly referred to as. However there are other ship names. When thinking of perhaps an older Grindeldore ship name many minds would jump to GGAD but many will be shocked to learn it is not the only one :)

─ GELBUS : A also common name for it, however much less popular than Grindeldore

─ DUMBLEWALD : I do not see many people use this now, however it is one that was used.

─ GGAD : What most people think of when thinking of ‘old’ Grindeldore ship names

─ ALBERT : I have seen almost nobody use this. However I am rather fond of it, but it is not practical as it could get mixed up with a character named Albert which is probably why it is hardly used.

─ HMS The greater good : this is an extremely old ship name first used in the fandoms early days that has completely died out as far as I know.

There are also other more recent ship names in Grindeldore fandom history, a post made by @gellertsphoenix has a list of them :)

Phew. A lot of research went into this… The amount of tabs I have open on my computer is concerning but let’s not dwell on that… This is a somewhat brief history of the fandom space :) Unfortunately I would not be able to find everything but I worked with what I had and I found out Grindledores old ship name ‘HMS The greater good’ which surprised me. I enjoyed researching and making this immensely :)

Some personal history

I joined MLKSHK by invitation on January 6, 2011 as a regular user. I found MLKSHK to be a breath of fresh air compared to your typical social media site (which still holds true today). After the shutdown announcement in 2014, I tried to offer help and reached out again around July 2014 after the announcement that the site would not be closing. I had met Andre once before, but mostly knew of him through colleagues at Six Apart. Andre took me up on the volunteer help… remember, by this time he wasn’t running MLKSHK as a business, so the ~3 years that follow are maintaining the site as a hobby, particularly since it was still losing money.

Initially, I helped with site performance issues, including some query optimizations. As time passed, it became clear that the site was still in danger of closing due to the cost of services it was incurring, which was not offset enough by subscriptions. So Andre and I went through a cost assessment process and we identified a number of things that could be done. Switching away from Fastly to a cheaper CDN (KeyCDN at the time) shaved CDN operational costs by 66% (Fastly charges 12 cents per gigabyte of transfer and KeyCDN charges 4 cents) so we started there, since it was the easiest change to make and had the most impact.

I also helped with the site’s participation in the “Good Web Bundle” promotion which brought in a few subscribers and returning members. The following year (2015), we had to rebuild subscriptions from scratch since both Tugboat and Amazon payments had to be retired, and we replaced those with Stripe. Alas, the site was still just not able to sustain itself as it was, and a decision was made to close for good in 2017.

Before that happened, the MLKSHK community began a conversation with Andre to transition the site to a community-run operation. I wasn’t involved in discussions, so don’t have insight into the choice behind creating a new domain and brand instead of adopting MLKSHK outright (I suspect Andre just preferred a clean break). Andre agreed to share all data and source code to the transition team. I helped with transitioning the source code for MLKSHK; cleaning it up for the basis of the MLTSHP repository to become an open source project.

It was decided that it would be best to make MLTSHP more closed in nature… so much of MLKSHK was open to free users, even some allowance for post creation. The plan was to relaunch with a membership requirement, but also with two price plans - the regular $24/year membership (plus an option to specify any amount over $24/year if the member wants to), and a new $3/year membership which effectively was the same level of service that was provided for free registered users before. While posting was being restricted to members, we wanted to keep certain things open for all: our “Popular” page, and individual post links which can be shared anywhere.

There would be some downtime between MLKSHK’s closure and the launch of MLTSHP. We aimed to keep that downtime low, but it gave us some time to make some larger changes that would make for a more sustainable and cost-efficient service.

Switching off of Amazon AWS for web server and database service was a big one. I had wanted to do this for MLKSHK as early as 2014, but we never did. I took a snapshot of AWS expenses from January 2017 and costs for that month were $400 (just RDS + S3 + EC2 and outbound data transfer to our CDN). We switched these to use Linode. For CDN service, KeyCDN was more cost effective than Fastly was, but we decided to switch to using Cloudflare for CDN since it wouldn’t cost anything (ironically, MLTSHP has since switched back to Fastly after receiving an offer to operate at no cost). The only remaining AWS feature MLTSHP is using is S3 for block storage. There are some cheaper S3-compatible services available, but the potential savings have never justified the task of a migration. Operational costs today are less than half of what we were spending for AWS alone, and we pay nothing for CDN service.

We also set up a real deployment process, utilizing Buildkite (they offer a free account for us to use), making it easier to test and deploy community-led changes. This also included utilizing Docker which also makes it easier for contributors to run their own copy of the site locally for development.

Ahead of MLTSHP’s launch, a service was built that would transcode GIF images (a popular, but heavy file format) to video formats that those would serve instead of the original GIF file. This was a cost-saving measure, since popular GIFs lead to a lot of traffic, so the smaller the better.

Another must-have for relaunch was a process that would migrate a user’s MLKSHK data when they signed into MLTSHP. This required us to load all the MLKSHK data into the MLTSHP database (in a separate set of tables) and we also had permission from Andre to make a wholesale copy of the MLKSHK S3 bucket to MLTSHP’s S3 bucket so all images were preserved.

And we also had a full rebranding to do. Replacing all site design and assets so that it was different, but retaining the spirit of the original site.

There have been a lot of changes to the site since that time. We’ve added site-wide search, responsive design so the site works well for mobile devices, support for light and dark mode, an alt text field so images can be described, and many other things. Big feature releases are few and far between, but the site is stable which is a great feature.

Our Github repo has had 412 commits from 26 different contributors. There’s still a lot of stuff to do (patches welcome)! But the most important feature we’ve developed is a self-sustainable community. We don’t have to worry about closing.

Artists will create accompanying art for each fic, authors will write a fic of 5k words minimum (there are stages to this, more info to follow!) and cheerleaders will beta read and provide encouragement. We will also be accepting signups for reserve agents, who will be able to step in at the last minute should something happen and a team be left incomplete.

Signups will start on the 20th June and end on the 7th July, and we're looking forward to seeing what you all come up with!

The posting date for all the works is pencilled in to start on the one year anniversary of the show, 27th January, 2024.

#SeiSubTanabataFest is a fest ship event organized for Sakurazuka Seishirou and Sumeragi Subaru. Pick whichever version of CLAMP works you feel like creating something for with SeiSub (Tokyo Babylon, X/1999, Tsubasa Reservoir Chronicle, etc.).

It is in celebration of the coming Tanabata (July 7th in Japan). Each day features prompts relating to traditions or imagery commonly associated with Tanabata. It will run from 7 July to 13 July 2024.

It marks the halfway point (138 days) in between Seishirou’s birthday (November 22nd) and Subaru’s birthday (February 19th). This indicates their relationship as star-crossed lovers, which makes their relationship on Tanabata all the more intriguing.

Everyone is allowed to participate!

Yes, if it fits the theme of the day you are posting on and the work has not been published yet.

Do I have to include all the prompts listed for the day into my work?

That isn’t necessary. The prompts are merely suggestions.

Can I include other prompts not included in prompts for the day?

Of course! Again, the prompts are merely suggestions. As long as your work follows at least one prompt for the day, you can submit it.

Do I have to participate every day?

No, that is not necessary.

What if my work incorporates prompts from 2 different days?

It follows the story of Izuku as he finds himself reliving his life all over again after dying at the hands of All for One. But he notices that things are different than before. From Bakugou being friendly with him to his homeroom teacher suddenly having an eccentric personality.

And it's all thanks to this mysterious entity that revived him. But that's not the only thing that's changed. Izuku suddenly has his own quirk. Sort of.

The mysterious entity knew that Izuku couldn’t face All for One again without an ace up his sleeve, so it decided to give him one.

In the form of a Zhao. A quirk that manifests in 5% of the Earth’s population and is based on the interests, dreams, aspirations, etc. of its user. The mysterious entity created Zhaos using the Illuminating Spark, an ancient relic known to shape worlds like Izuku’s in different ways.

Unfortunately for the entity, the Illuminating Spark seemed to have disappeared in Izuku’s new world, resulting in an unstable power balance.

With the help of a team of new yet familiar faces, Izuku must find the Illuminating Spark and stop All for One from finding it.

Personality: Sunny is nothing like her past self. While she's just as bright and outgoing as Mic, Sunny's mostly shy and introverted. She's also overprotective when it comes to a kid's safety, to the point where she goes feral on anyone who abuses a child.

Backstory: Sunny is well known in Japan under her hero title. From singing songs with her band to saving innocent children from villain attacks. It's no wonder why she's almost as popular as One Almighty Star. But underneath that bubbly persona, Sunny is a nervous wreck of a man. She isn't great at speaking her mind and gets flustered easily. She's the only one in the group that doesn't remember her past life's memories. She only gains memories after events happen in front of her. She does remember the previous timeline and being Present Mic, but specific details are a blur. As she teams up with Izuku and Co., Sunny tries to look more into her past, which unveils a dark conspiracy behind Mic's death.

Ado's Release Schedule Issue

Zanmu came out today and I was very excited to listen to it! It's definitely a light album than Kyōgen, which I think was necessary so she doesn't get trapped in the box/label of "that one angry/sad Japanese singer" (which I've unfortunately see happen to a lot of artists).

However, the release of single before the album was...not what I was hoping for. Out of the 16 songs on the new album, 14 of them were singles, the first of which being released in March of 2022 and the most recent of which being released 5 days before the album came out.

To her credit, a big reason behind this could be that half (yes, HALF, I counted) of the songs on her new album were created for projects besides Zanmu (Missing, Dignity, Chocolat Cadabara, Kura Kura, Rebellion, All Night Radio, Himawari, and Show). This means that she had to put these songs out early to meet deadlines for projects. It also wouldn't benefit her to use part of the songs for the projects and then not make money off of them during the heights of their popularity.

I don't know what role her music label played in Ado's release schedule/structure, but here's what I would've done if I was in charge of it. Release a two-part single with Missing and Rebellion on October 14th, 2022 to line up with the release of Karada Sagashi. Then, release Dignity, Kura Kura, and Himawari as singles on the release dates of their respective shows/films/etc. This will occur between July 11th, 2023 and October 7th, 2023. A week later, release All Night Radio alongside the previous singles, or even add in the songs from Karada Sagashi if it needs to be padded out, as an EP.

Now here comes the part where things get a little fuzzy, so just bear with me. Show aired its first commercial for Universal Studios Japan on September 6th, 2023. Chocolat Cadabara aired it's first commercial for Lotte on January 22, 2024. So, my proposal is that Zanmu be given a release date of late January 2024 and have Ado's Utattemita Album pushed back to late July 2024. Show and Chocolat Cadabara would be singles for Zanmu, but that leaves quite a bit of time between the two releases. This leaves the perfect opportunity for Mirror, which was used in most Zanmu promotional materials, to release in November of 2023. This also might've helped promote Ado's world tour, Wish, even better because it began in February 2024, meaning that everyone would be excited from the new, original, album (Show would also still be able to be used for promotional materials).

With Ado's Utattemita Album, all of the songs on there were already available to see Ado sing on YouTube, so it would still make sense if Ado sang them on her world tour. Even if she hadn't, it could be a surprise or sneak peak of sorts for people who attended Wish. (Also, I personally wasn't as excited about Ado's Utattemita Album releasing, so I wouldn't have minded waiting longer for it).

I don't blame Ado, or even the people who produced the music, for any of this. I think this was mostly an oversight on the part of her label and manager with how schedules for her different projects would work out. If you are new to Ado, I still encourage you to listen to Zanmu, but I would suggest listening to Kyōgen first

The Women's Prize for Non-Fiction 2024 Longlist is here!

I'm sure that long time readers of my blog or followers of my Instagram will know that I have been following the Women's Prize for Fiction very closely for the last few years. I was really excited to discover that they were launching a sister prize celebrating non-fiction written by women (because it definitely tends to get lost in the very male-dominant sphere that is non-fiction). I am not a big non-fiction reader but as I get older, I have found myself becoming more interested in it. I think I'll always be a much bigger fiction reader but there are some genres within non-fiction that I am fascinated by, so it made sense for me to take a look at what the inaugural Women's Prize for Non-Fiction longlist had to offer.

The Women's Prize for Non-Fiction is open to non-fiction books written by women in English and published between 1st April 2023 and 31st March 2024. I believe it follows the same rules as the Fiction prize, in that books have to follow a narrative and that translated books are not eligible.

So, there's the longlist. There is a good mixture in terms of theme and I'm sure a lot of people will be excited about that. I'm afraid that for me, I'm really not very interested in many of them. I have copies of Eve and Some People Need Killing, so I'll be reading them. I am also interested in Doppelganger and Wifedom but they're both very expensive in all formats at the moment, so I'll see if I can get library copies. However, almost all of the others just aren't speaking to me!

The shortlist will be announced on 27th March and the winner will be announced on 13th June, which is the same date as the winner of the Fiction Prize. So, I imagine the award ceremony will be a very big celebration of women's writing, which is always an exciting event.

How can I know if I've been selected to the AXS presale? If you have received this email then you've been selected for the midnights UK/Ireland presale. you can be chosen for AXS or Ticketmaster. It'll say it like this:

So. Since I really just repurposed this blog when I came back to tumblr this year, my ACTUAL join date is sometime in Nov./Dec. 2009. I purged some stuff last week, so the earliest date I have is Dec. 7th, 2009.

But let's be more reasonable and accurate to 2024. My re-join date was: May 15th, 2024. I apparently did like 4 posts in February, but we're not counting those. This would make sense, given that spring semester would've been over and it was my birthday weekend.

10:28pm. Listening to Fall for you by Leela James. I want to start a blog someday named perspective. Maybe after September, I will create a different tumblr blog and name it Eden’s Perspective. Because honestly, I come here for perspective. I just. Yeah. I need to write today. I didn’t exactly want to write but I needed it. So this whole thing of being where your feet are isn’t easy. I am concluding that I am a person that easily gets overwhelmed then easily gets over whatever it was that was overwhelming me but it goes in that order. I feel on the brink of tears right now and I just can’t even explain all the things racing through my head. And I know the answer to all the chaos is to focus on here and now. I am in this Season for a reason. I know all of this. It doesn’t make it any easier. All this change is overwhelming and in the near future all this change will be the norm. Life eh? I romanticized my life on Friday and took myself out for a little date. I also bought toilet paper because… balance. I had a nice latte and cake. Then I went home and chilled, then got ready for Sato. I walked to and from my date which was really nice. On Saturday morning, I went boxing, came home, spent time with my grandma, then my brother and his girlfriend came over, then I went to my Aunty’s house for the night. I enjoyed Aunty’s house, it was just her, her parrot and I. We had a slow sunday of food, soaps and naps. Then I came back to my grandma’s house. SweSwe has always body shamed me. As a kid I was too skinny. Now I am too fat. It’s a lose lose ya know. Anyway, today she brought up that I needed to lose weight. And I told her I was happy with my body. She said if she were me then she would lose weight and I told her to do with her body as she pleases and I will do with my body as I please. She kinda got the clue and she said she was sorry. But also truly, I don’t give a fuck about the apology because she has always been that way about my body. Always has something to say about it. High Key gave me an eating disorder. But this isn’t even about her. It’s about that moment when I said I like/love my body as it is. I said it with conviction. And now I am wondering, do I? Like I Love myself. I know I am beautiful. But I have such a distorted relationship with my body fat because of my grandmother and mother. I should never be too skinny and I should never be fat. The window of the perfect weight they expect me to be at is unattainable. So I said I Love my body. It’s easy to say that. But Can I Love my body? Honestly, I just want to be happy, healthy, and strong in my body. That’s the goal. And I am achieving it. Their perspective and self-hate is theirs and theirs alone. I will start to shut it down by saying I Love my body. Because honestly, how I feel about myself is all that matters. I read this article in a Kenyan magazine that talked about sex like prayer. A meditation. A ritual. And I love that. A place where there are certain routines and steps that lead to this deep connection with yourself or with your partner. I rock with that. Sex as Holy Worship, Prayer, Sacredness. Anyway, I am going to Meru tomorrow for the first time since I have been back. I am looking forward to seeing family and being in the countryside for sometime. I just did some math and the luteal phase just hit.  Does this explain the changes in mood? HMMMMMMM. Anyway, Life is Still Gøod. I am Gøod. My body is Gøod. Change is Gøod.
