I just went back and read your original Louis head canons, so I have to ask: do you have any new ones? They're all so good, I could listen to you talk about him for ages !
Nasty baby boy!! Thank you for asking, I need to gnaw on him like a chew toy rn because of my IWTV reread. It's giving me even more Louis brain worms than usual. Little guy....
He is not an animal person in general, but he has a very special and very strong affinity for birds. He has bird feeders at all the windows in his favorite spots, and an assortment of little bird friends (he's had lots of different kinds) in a big aviary who are very spoiled and very well trained. He's also a big fan of the birdtok scroll hole and fighting about birdkeeping on reddit until someone is crying
Louis knows his original family name from France, but never uses or speaks about it. If anyone were to ask, he'd say he doesn't care for it because he wants """his""" achievements to speak for themselves, but in reality it kind of bothers him that his ancestry is "common" and nouveau riche
Lestat's dumbest nickname for him is Minky (because Louis' hair reminds him of those fancy mahogany mink coats, all dark, shiny and fluffywavy). He perhaps maybe possibly finds all the stupid pet names a little bit sweet
Phone game junkie. If brass buttons were that interesting to him, imagine candy crush or the businessman enrichment he would get from animal crossing. Lestat has to limit his screen time so he doesn't rot his brain
He watches Protestant televangelists and bitches at the screen like a dad watching football. Just in general he likes to look at things that make him angry and then complain about it (big fan of Facebook and the news for the same reason)
Really into modern self-help and wellness culture. He konmaris his house every two months and is a top user of the headspace app. It's really annoying for everyone else but it does seem to be working
He uses his vampire prodigy skills to do a lot of sketching outside, especially when the weather is nice. He's always been a nature enjoyer but now he can capture it easily and keep it close. He likes to take pictures too. And show them to other people whether they care or not. The oak tree in his favorite park is like a grandchild to him
Because of his poor feeding habits very early on after being turned, his fangs are just slightly smaller and duller than the average vampire. It makes his kills messier/harder to keep tidy because there's a bit of sawing and ripping involved in the feeding process instead of a clean bite
Contrary to popular belief, he does enjoy physical affection from very close people, like his siblings when he was human and Lestat now. He needs more space than his stage five clinger husband (they would be surgically attached if Lestat had his way), but he likes having someone to lean against while he reads or a lap to sit in during a movie or cuddles after a long day. It just took an acclimation period and some trust building/bonding to get there
His hatred of granulated sugar was partly financially motivated (business competition) but also because he had a massive sweet tooth as a human but it didn't fit his image. Almond mom who sneaks twinkies in the bathroom
On a somewhat related note, his disordered eating wasn't a totally new thing as a vampire. His image of himself was always very reliant on his ability to be "godly" and In Control which led to a lot of extreme monk food habits and secret binging on fat, sugar, and alcohol. It's also why he spiraled into being an actual alcoholic so quickly after Paul's death
Against all odds, he is a fancy bath guy. Hot water was obviously not super easy to get and regulate for most of his life so it wasn't really a feasible option, but now he's extremely into the idea of being up to his neck in hot water that smells like lavender. He's kind of embarrassed about it though so he takes them when he's alone like it's some kind of petty crime. Lestat knows and leaves him little bath product gifts (and eventually gets to be in included in the baths sometimes)
#also i made his original family name beaujon as a nod to the royal banker#vc#louis de pointe du lac#hc tag#answered

I zoned out and did the champions oops…What if the Pokemon champions had Digimon?
They aren’t given ultimates because ultimates are like the closest thing that Digimon have to legendaries you know before the modern Digimon ultimate bargain sale😅(except Leon but it’s intentional). Overall anyone who isn’t like the chosen one or finds a powerful plot device gets a mega in the anime. Like most literal chosen ones don’t have ultimates.
The cap of power would basically be like:
Normies: Adult
The strongest: Perfect
The chosen ones: Ultimate (literally just the main cast and sometimes not even them)
Super freaks: Super Ultimate (realistically only the mcs or main antag gets these unless it’s Savers😅)
Lance has graduated from being a birdkeeper
Machine boi
Big intimidating dragon that is owned by another strong character who likes wearing dark colors
Unfortunately there’s no Mothramon so he’ll have to settle for a butterfly
Iris gets an armored dragon like Haxorus. I considered Zudamon too.
Holy Digimon are fairy-esqe so I think it works. Also holy Digimon are really strong.
Kukui got another dog. Also he’s basically the champion so he counts.
I was thinking that Chairmon Rose uses some of the Eternatus energy to allow Leon’s partner to become ultimate without his knowledge. Like a way for him to assure that he can have his undefeated champion. Basically it’s like a subtle red flag that something is sus.
Come on we all know Geeta’s ace should have been Kingambit
Ooh…I forgot Wallace. Oh well😅.

Project 0 is a 16+ romance-focused survival game in which your choices matter. You play as a troubled human in the seemingly abandoned city of Wennbury.
It is currently in development, and new chapters will be released as i finish them.
DEMO TBA
For ten years the world has been plunged into darkness. The why and the how don’t matter, all that does is surviving. The darkness brings monsters, creatures, demons out, and they’re bloodthirsty. The shadows are a sickness that spread like wildfire, and the only respite comes once a month. You’ve lived- struggled- this far and you don’t know how much more you can take. Life seems bleak and existence seems futile, there’s no silver lining and no light at the end of the tunnel.
You can only trust yourself and your long-time friend, the one who’s always been there for you. Maybe together you will find purpose in the world. But maybe together you’ll doom yourselves.
- Play as male, female or nonbinary.
- Choose between 5 different gender-flippable characters to romance.
- Fight off monsters with a handgun, nailed bat, axe, or even a machete.
- Discover the dark truths about your world, and yourself in the meanwhile.
- Avoid death for as long as you can.
Content warnings: Depictions of violence, injuries and blood, death, trauma, and murder. Please be cautious.
THE CHILDHOOD BEST FRIEND
LUKAS/LISA SANTOS is your childhood best friend and the person you’ve lived with for the last decade. L is sweet and kind, getting along with everyone they come across. Although their personality is as bright as the Sun, something much darker is hidden inside.
THE SCIENTIST
EVAN/ERIN BAILEY is a scientist, making do with whatever they can - chemistry equipment stolen from nearby abandoned high schools, old gadgets stolen from abandoned electronic stores. E is stoic, and seeing any type of emotion - other than pain - on their face is a miracle. But maybe their heart isn't completely made of stone.
THE GUITARIST
MARK/MAYA SHAE ARNETTE is a guitarist and also a part-time older sibling. M is kind and calm, and every bit protective of the ones they care for. But M puts others first, not caring for their wellbeing. Will they learn to love themselves?
THE BIRDKEEPER
RAMIEL/RUBY CHERNEV is an animal enthusiast, but more specifically interested in birds. R is a bookworm, going out even when it’s dark outside to find abandoned libraries and bookstores from which they can find a new book to entertain with. They are expressive and nice, but also calculated in their actions.
?????????
CYRIL/CORA is a mysterious person, their motives and past unknown - lost to time. C is eccentric, playful, and quite possessive of you. Anything that gets in their path does not live to see another day. Behind their eccentric, bizarre mask hides something you don't want to know.
AADIL BAYRAK is a loving father and husband. He takes care of everyone in the house. He's particularly talented in cooking.
EVA BAYRAK is the houses mom, but also surprisingly snarky. She, along with Ramiel, home schools the kids.
DOMINIK BAYRAK is Eva and Aadil’s child, having been born right before when Daylight wasn't a special occasion. He has a passion for hunting, but Dominik finds himself easily disturbed by the Creatures.
GINA ARNETTE is M’s little sister. She is quite young, and her passion for art is as big as her heart. Gina has trouble expressing her emotions, but she gets excited over anything.

ILLEGIBLE’S TOTALLY SUBJECTIVE FAVORITE EORZEA COLLECTION DESIGNS: MELEE DPS
NOTE: This was originally going to be a collection where everything was in one post, but it legitimately got so big that the post couldn’t save. And doing by halvesies broke all the links. So instead, I’m going to try and separate it into smaller chunks and see if that works.
I’ve mentioned in the past, the main thing that made me start playing FFXIV properly was seeing people’s character designs. I’m still blown away by the creativity and range of approaches people bring to this game, so I’ve decided to be an absolute madwoman and break my favorites into subcategories to share with anyone curious.
And to be clear. I’m not going to do something so broad as “oh top ten in-general :3″ because that would be sensible. No, I’m going to do it for all the current combat jobs. And all the current races. And different genders within the races and combat jobs as things stand. And I’m going to make a face-focus subcategory. And there are gonna be LOTS. Because I seriously cannot understate how inspired I’ve been by this community, and after however many years I just feel the need to vomit some incredible visuals I’ve encountered at you guys lol.
ANOTHER NOTE: In an abundance of caution, I want to stress this list isn’t a value judgment on anyone but a fragment of things that blew me personally away. Looking at the DRK sections it will be immediately clear that I Illegible really like that edgy dark knight aesthetic lmao, but there are plenty of non-edgy dark knights that I also love to bits. Other people might not like edgy dark knights. Due to a combination of size and search constraints plus trying to keep gear somewhat varied, these glamours are just what wound up on this particular list of mine. I could make another list one day. Other people can make lists too that are totally different.
Without further ado, let us begin.

he loves them and because he cannot remember the person he was before them
The last long conversation I had about birdkeeping was with a Romanian taxi driver on the way to an airport very early on a Sunday morning. In the darkness the screen of his iPhone glowed with a photograph of a bird with a black cap, a pugnacious beak and a chest the colour of young red wine. I told him I thought it was a beautiful bullfinch, and he was beside himself with delight: You know what it is! This is my bird! And we talked about his birds for the rest of the journey. He’d got into it late, he said. When he was a young man he had no idea how perfect birds were: like precious stones, but alive. And their songs! He explained that his birds are his life, and they are like children in two ways: because he loves them and because he cannot remember the person he was before them.

Has the DJs ever met Eglantine from megamix ? If they did, what are their reactions ? ( i love and scared of her at the same time )
Oh hey this ask is the perfect chance to talk about this headcanon!
DJ Yellow and Eglantine are actually good friends thanks to their mutual interest in birds! They met during a Manzai Birds performance due to both of them being fans of Crow and Vulture’s routines, and they’ve been bird buddies ever since!
Eglantine is who DJ Yellow hangs out with to get his bird fix since he wants to wait until he moves into a better home environment for birdkeeping.
As for Student, he doesn’t really know her that well and chances are he’d probably set off her dark side somehow (which, interestingly, DJ Yellow has never done).

5: Sad
When I was eight years old, my grandfather warned me about starry-winged dragons. "They eat people, you know, that's how they get their name," he said, leaning forward in his chair, "their wings are black as void when they hatch from the egg. But when they grow big, and they eat a human..." He drew his fingers together, then opened his hand, like a twinkling star. "Plink! A new, white star, sparkling somewhere beneath their wings!" I took him dead serious, of course - age begets wisdom, and my grandfather had an awful lot of age.
At fourteen, I hiked into the woods on a warm spring afternoon. I was meant to stay with the others, but I sensed adventure off the beaten path. I took care to leave a subtle trail - arrows made from twigs, bound in blades of grass. A good adventuring story holds little worth if it cannot be told, after all. My path took me past a serene lake, under a stone arch some dark green lizards were fighting over, and finally into a dim cave. Once my eyes adjusted, I noticed another pair of eyes looking back at me.
Laying on the stone floor was a dragon, scales black as night. It raised its head, then sat up. Through its folded wings, I caught a glimpse of tiny specks of light hidden beneath. “Hello there, little one. Why are you here? Humans do not often seek my counsel.” The dragon had a low, resonating voice that felt like it was speaking directly into my mind. The scaly head, easily twice the size of my torso, drifted nearer on a sleek, serpentine neck, letting the creature look over me before continuing, “besides, you are small for a human, a juvenile. I know of no human trail that leads to my den, so what led you to seek me out?”
A dragon, scales darker than the void, and wings filled with bright stars. A memory called out, insisting I back away, or even run, from an obvious man-eater. But I was fourteen. I had some years under my belt, and was confident that the adults were lying, or wrong. I had done a fantastic job of not dying for almost a decade and a half, and certainly this streak would not be interrupted. So I stepped forward, and told the truth: “I’m looking to find and make stories. Do you have any?”
The head drew back a bit and blinked. For the briefest of moments, I considered the possibility that I had irreversibly messed up. It passed, thankfully, and a few seconds later, the dragon smiled and giggled, mirth in its eyes. “What a fascinating question! You’ve found the right dragoness; I’ve known many humans, and heard many tales. Here, young human, I have at least a story for every star in my glittering wings. Come, point one out, and I will share its contents.” She sat up and spread her wings out, revealing two great expanses of shimmering, starlit night sky, held captive on a scaly canvas. That was the precise moment I truly understood the word “awestruck.” I hardly noticed my feet move as I stepped closer to her, watching as the stars twinkled, or at least seemed to, and reached out to touch one.
When I did, she jolted, half-furling the wing back up with another giggle. “Oh, I am rather ticklish; I did say to point for a reason. But, ah, you chose this one?” A black claw pointed to a star - in truth, I’d forgotten exactly which it was, but nodded just the same, eliciting a smile from the scaly creature. “Ah, the tale of Varren Kristaller, a spirited mailman. Let me see, where to begin...
“Varren was, as you might guess, a mailman. He was very good at his job, and took great pride in the work. You know the ‘neither rain, nor snow, nor dark of night’ motto? Varren was that times a billion. In his line of work, he had dragged a mail recipient from an inferno, tightrope walked across a roaring river when the bridge was out, and even decked a territorial displacer beast when it stood between him and his goal. A thin, wiry sort of lad, but a sense of duty like you’d never seen. Until finally, he faced his toughest challenge yet: a mountain pass had suffered a rockslide, and the only other way from point A to point B was through an uncharted forest, filled with dangerous creatures...”
Her tale was riveting, and before I had realized, an hour had passed and I was sitting against her side, feeling her breath push her scales out and in while she spoke. “... He had seen the village, though, a mere ten minutes’ walk away! Sure, his legs felt like jelly and the snake’s venom was starting to rattle his brain, but you can bet: ten, fifteen minutes later, the mail was delivered. He had done it!” Her breath hitched and her gaze faltered after that sentence, so overwhelmed with emotions was she. Seeing the growing shadows on the ground outside, however, I was forced to bid her goodbye, thanking her dearly for the wonderful story.
My trip back was uneventful, my blazes clear to someone who would be looking for them. I got quite a dressing-down for ditching the others, though; they had thought I had died in the woods. It was a silly matter; I was fourteen, so I knew how not to get killed by the forest.
Years passed. I grew up, I took a trade, I worked steadily most weeks of the year. Love eluded me, though it’s not like I sought it out, either. One of my weeks off, however, I was seized by wanderlust once more - old, comfortable, yet somewhat unfamiliar after such a long time. This time, however, I let my friends and family know I was going for a walk in the woods. What I didn’t tell them, of course, was that I had a destination in mind.
The route had changed over the years. The pond was smaller - although, perhaps it was me who had gotten bigger - and the stone archway had collapsed, though there still stood a triumphant lizard, basking in the sun on its rock. The cave was much the same, but the dragon within was not resting as she had been the first time.
“Hello? Miss dragon?” I called out as I slowly stepped into the shadows. While waiting for my eyes to adjust to the low light, a scaly paw as wide as my chest pushed me firmly against the rock wall; it hadn’t hurt me, but I wouldn’t be moving without the dragon’s say-so.
“Pray tell, human, why have you come here? Fame? A trophy? I hope you do not seek a dragon’s hoard, for my cave is bare of such things.” The tense tone clashed strongly with my memory of her voice. Still, she did not sound angry, and her questioning pulled at my memories.
A quip came to mind - I did desire to take from her glittery hoard, not gold or gems, but something far more value. But, with the unerring confidence of adolescence firmly in the past, I knew that, if she desired, I would not return to the village. “Many of my friends enjoy the story of Varren Kristaller, and I would be much obliged if you would share another or two.” Using “story” and the mailman’s name so early, I hoped to remind her of our meeting decades ago.
To my relief, her eyes softened, as did her grip, and a smile curled her scaly lips. “Oh! Yes, the juvenile story-hunter. It has been some time, no? Do tell me you won’t make that mistake again!” The dragon laughed, stepped back, and spread her wings. They were as beautiful as I had remembered, if not moreso. Utterly enthralling... I wondered, silently, if she or another starry-winged dragon would hunt like this, simply baring their wings and eating their captivated prey. Her voice shook me out of my deep admiration, however. “Shall we play the same game, then? Oh, do take care not to touch - I am still ticklish, after all.” I smiled back, easily ignoring that her smile was full of sharp fangs and bigger than my entire head.
Stepping closer, I looked through the stellar skyscape of her wings before pointing at a large, bright star. “How about this one? Or maybe the dim one over here...”
‘Ooh, tough choice. I’ll start with the bright one, Sophie Ferrum the birdkeeper. The duller one is Savar Kiernari, a humble clerk; his title sounds less interesting, but both their stories deserve to be shared. If you’ve the time, I’ll gladly share both.” The dark dragoness smoothly laid down and reached out with a paw, beckoning me closer. Never one to refuse an invitation for a good story, I took a seat by her scaly chest, leaning back against her as she wove her tale. “Now then, Sophie was the proud owner of no less than four pigeons, a red-bellied woodpecker, and two cardinals. But this story is about a vacation she took once...”
“...and I would reckon that little book is still in that chest, buried beneath the library.” The dragoness scraped at the floor with her claws, as though digging a spot for the sole copy of the book. With her second story of the day complete, I stood up and stretched, immediately both regretting sitting by her for so long and resolving to never regret listening to her. Joints popped, stiff from remaining so still for so long, even with such a wonderful place to sit. When I turned to face her, however, my eyes lingered on her mouth, and a question struck me.
“If you don’t mind, miss dragon... what happened to them?”
“Ah, pardon? What do you mean?” The smile on her sleek muzzle was gone, but she didn’t seem hostile or angry.
Well, in for a penny... “What happened to them? To Varren, to Sophie, to Savar? Envenomated and crippled, stranded in a tree, and driven to the woods in desolation?” I counted them off on my fingers as I spoke. “Their stories ended well, sure, but did they?”
The dragon visibly shrank back, and she glanced off to the sides. “Are you sure you want to know? They say ignorance is bliss...” she said, though even she didn’t believe it.
“And if I wanted ignorance, I wouldn’t collect stories. Now please, I won’t- I’ll do my level best not to judge.” I offer a smile to the stunning, scaly creature. “You seem to have a number of sad stories, but you pretend they’re not.”
She sighed, and even in the low light, I could see her chest and belly grow and shrink with the heavy breath. “Well... alright. Varren: too weak to move, found temporary refuge in a cave. Told his tale, pleaded his task be carried out in his stead, and was eaten by a dragon. Sophie: fell from the tree, shattering many bones. Begged a passing dragon to end her pain, and her story was found in the journal still on her. Savar: sought out the dragon and regaled her with his woeful tale. Pried her jaws open and threw himself on her fangs.” She cast her eyes downward, letting her star-speckled wings droop and brush the floor. “I have lived many hundreds of years. My wings carry on them two thousand, six hundred and forty-nine stars; thirty-one of them did not exist when you first found me.”
I stepped back, feeling my way against the wall. “Thirty-one? But that’s... do you hunt us?” I had suspected her a man-eater, but the sheer scale...
A large, scaly paw started to reach for me, pleading my stay, but hesitated and fell. “I do not consider it hunting. I find them in peril, I take careful heed of their story, and my wings gain a star.” She smiled then, but the twitch of her lips did not meet her eyes; she saw the fear in mine, and happiness eluded her. “Perhaps I could have saved some. Maybe all of them, although I doubt that. But when they are unwilling or unable to leave my company, I stop their breath, and keep what was their life alive with me. A story is no good if nobody is left who can tell it.”
I promised her I would think about her words, and then I left. Away from the dangerous forest and its black, starry-winged reaper.
It was probably a full year I dwelled on her words. Of course, I still worked, and in spare time spun the stories of Savar and of Sophie. When I was feeling particularly bitter towards the dragon, and in adult company, Sophie would fall from the tree, and Savar would cast himself upon the beasts of the forest. When I held her plea in good favor, Sophie merely lived with her birds as long as she could, and Savar walked off to lands unknown.
It was then with some hesitation that I found myself in front of that cave once more. “Miss dragon? I’m back. The storyteller.”
This time, she sat in the middle of the cave, staring at me. “If you have brought men to kill me, I must confess I may not take the time to learn their stories.” It was a similar fluid, yet guarded voice that had spoken to me while she held me to a wall. “But... I smell no others on you, nor do I hear the clanking of armor. You have rendered a decision?”
I steeled my nerves and stepped forward, approaching her slowly but steadily. “I believe so. After a year, I have only two questions. First being, have you any new stars?”
If there had been any emotion in her eyes, she had forced it out upon hearing me. Instead, she opened a wing and pointed a claw, a shadow over the night sky. “Next to my second claw, the dim one of that cluster of three. She was the only one.”
I walked towards the indicated stars, but stopped well before being able to touch her. “Thank you for not lying and saying zero,” I said, “now, question two. What was her story?”
This time, her smile was genuine. I learned only one new story from that visit, but gained something far more valuable and precious to me.
Years and decades plodded along, as such things are wont to do. Friends and family grew, faded, and grew anew, but I would always make sure to visit the dragon with her star-speckled wings. Sometimes I would have to wait an hour or two for her to return to her home, but she always had a story for my eager ears, and a spot by her side, even when I had to start bringing my own chair. And then, after a hiatus of a few years, on a warm spring afternoon, I did not come alone. Two of my great-nephews helped me along the familiar path, with me pointing the way. The beautiful lake had, after some heavy rainy seasons, become a lively marsh; that crumbling arch fell further and grew cacti, of all things. And a young tree by the dragon’s cave had grown and thickened.
The boys tried one more time to change my mind, but I was adamant. I would walk in alone. They didn’t have to stay outside, and I would not return to tell them when to leave. It was a terrible thing, making them the bearer of such commands, but I hoped they would forgive me in time. Balancing against a sturdy walking-stick, I stumbled into the darkness.
“Dragon, I am here.”
I couldn’t see her against the cave walls, save for her eyes and her stars. It was nice of her to keep her wings open like that. “It has been some time,” she said, failing to hide her worry, “how are you?”
I shook my head, giving her a question of my own. “How many stars do you have?”
She winced at the question - she always did - and replied, “two thousand, seven hundred, and fifty-three.”
“Would you like another?”
The dragon stumbled and sputtered. She gaped in surprise, staring at me as though searching for any sign of a joke. But no sign came. After a deep sigh, she closed her eyes and shook her head.
“In truth? I would not. But...” As she neared, I felt a warm, humid breeze, blowing from her location. “But... I will have one, anyway.”

Your hair is an interesting shade of dark blue, kinda like the ocean. Also you’re one of the best birdkeepers there is, keep it up.
Compliment my muse!
“Ah, that is very kind, thank you!” He’s not sure what to make of the comment about his hair, but you can bet that birdkeeper comment made his month.

Here recently, I know it’s weird, but I’ve found a lot of these bird ‘statues’ lying around. It’s not much - merely a little puppet haphazardly attached to a base - but the vibes I get from it are not at all good. When I found it, it was covered in mud, gross, wet, and unsanitary. But when I looked at it the next day, it was spotless. Not a speck to be seen on the thing. I didn’t think much of it. In fact, I didn’t really even notice it until recently. I didn’t notice it until I felt like I was being watched.
It started about a week ago. A week after I found the statue. Things were appearing outside of my house. Lights and candles - inscriptions in the dirt, just weird stuff. Things that I wouldn’t attribute to just random teen shenanigans. I started to become nervous. And, when I’m nervous, I often clean. Clean my room, clean the house, take out the trash, you know, that kind of thing.
While I was cleaning, I tossed the bird statues away. They were trash, in my opinion. But that was a mistake.
The next night, I looked out my window. Just casually - I didn’t think I would see anything. Yet, there, standing by a trio of candle lights, was a silhouette. I guess that’s how I’d describe it. It was shaped like a human, but it was too dark for me to really make out what it really was. As any sensible person would do in a situation like this, I made my presence known. If this was an animal - a bear, or godforbid bigfoot or something like that - I wanted to scare it away. And, it must have worked, at least initially. It left, and the candles it left were blown out with it.
When I woke up the next morning, though, and stepped out my front door to go to school, my feet landed in a muddy mess. It was a circle. The best comparable thing I can relate it to is a pentagram. But, it wasn’t a pentagram, you know? Not demonic like that. As I got closer to the center, I saw that another one of those statues was in the center of it. Or maybe it was one of the same ones. I did put it in the trash the other day, after all. Someone could have grabbed it out of the bin. I picked it up. It was clean again.
Now, I didn’t know what to do. I was scared, obviously, I mean who in god’s name would be calm if a pentagram-esque symbol appeared in your yard? I cleaned it up as quick as I could, tossing all of the parts in the trash. I learned soon that it would be a mistake, but I didn’t want to leave it there.
Later that night. I began hearing squawking. It was like a raven. Frequent and annoying, but unlike a raven’s, it was deep and unsettling. I heard it for hours, every night after that circle appeared. As far as I could tell, I was the only one to hear it. My friends - my family, they all called me crazy, and I’m beginning to believe that fact. Every night, at the same time. Squawking. My brain gets rattled every night, and every time I exit my house, I don’t feel alone. I feel like I need to warn you guys, even if this is of my own making. Whatever you do, don’t bother with these statues. I don’t know what they’re related to; something ancient, for sure. If you do happen to have one of these statues, keep good care of it. Maybe the man, the creature (I’m tempted to call it the ‘Birdkeeper’ at this point, but that’s extremely cheesy), is a sign that the bird is displeased, so whatever you do, don’t mistreat the statues. For your own sake. These squawks are delipidating.

like songbirds (in gilded cages)
Harry had always liked songbirds, colourful creatures put in cages for the amusement of others. Maybe it was because he, in part, identified with them, could imagine how they felt – always on display, always watched, never a moment when they weren’t being made into entertainment.
cw: dark!harry, this is fucked up ok
fill for @febuwhump day 20: caged
Harry had always liked songbirds, colourful creatures put in cages for the amusement of others. Maybe it was because he, in part, identified with them, could imagine how they felt – always on display, always watched, never a moment when they weren’t being made into entertainment.
It might have been the cages he identified with, too, the small space they had in which to move around – the songbirds had their cages, and he had his (gilded and metaphorical though it may be). He had rebelled, of course he had, but never outside what the barsof his cage allowed; a specific kind of anger, never casting a curse at anyone on the right side, never saying what he actually thought of politics.
He had won the war because that was his particular melody to sing – win, win, defeat him – and then he had… retired, one could say. Withdrawn best he could from the public eye, pretended he enjoyed living in the large mansion when in fact it was just a different kind of bars keeping him locked away. He didn’t know quite what to do if he didn’t have the bars, so in the end, perhaps he was grateful that they were no longer literal like they once had been.
Maybe that was why he and Sirius had gotten on so well, the few years they knew each other – both of them knew what it was like, being confined by literal and metaphorical bars.
Then came the songbirds, Harry’s big and empty mansion suddenly filled with noise again.
Harry’s first songbird had been an accident, a brown little sparrow that fairly fell into his lap one day. He had kept her for as long as he could, but he found it difficult to figure out what to feed her, and sadly that one didn’t last long.
It woke something in him, though, having a songbird always around, and it lessened the loneliness he hadn’t been aware he was feeling. They did become a bit repetitive after a while, the variation in their song not as big as he would have hoped, but – they were easily replaceable, and as long as he didn’t get too attached to a particular one, well. Songbirds didn’t have that long a lifespan, anyway, and if he happened to make it… shorter, in order to get a new one, he didn’t think he could be judged too harshly on it.
He thought he was a good birdkeeper, every bird kept in her own cage, with some kind of enrichment as well, and he always made sure to talk to them at least once a day. He didn’t get much of a reply of course, no matter what he was talking about, their tune an almost monotonous one on repeat.
“Harry, why?” was the words they sang, over and over. The why why why shrill, none of the birds much of a singer really, not able to carry a tune in a bucket really. He liked them though, liked the companionship, even if it wasn’t exactly mutual.

ILLEGIBLE’S TOTALLY SUBJECTIVE FAVORITE EORZEA COLLECTION DESIGNS: FEMALE
I’ve mentioned in the past, the main thing that made me start playing FFXIV properly was seeing people’s character designs. I’m still honestly blown away by the creativity and range of approaches people bring to this game, so I’ve decided to be an absolute madwoman and break my favorites into subcategories to share with anyone curious.
NOTE: In an abundance of caution, I want to stress this list isn’t a value judgment on anyone but a fragment of things that blew me personally away.
Also, I was originally going to make a single post that went over male and female options presented in the character creator but straight up tumblr wouldn’t let me save because it got too big. You can see the male character post here.
Without further ado, let us begin.

May I ask for the DRV3 yandere boy's with a S/O too kind for their own good, like the ultimate big sister or gardener, someone so peaceful to the point someone thinks they make an easy target and the boy's finding out someone is thinking of killing their S/O.
Everyone loves them yanyans huh?
Gonta Gokuhara
Gonta truly loved you
You were such a kind and gentle soul, well that made since with you being the Ultimate Volunteer
But since the killing game started… be couldn’t leave you alone
He had to protect you like a true gentlemen does!
After he escorted you back to your room he noticed someone out of the corner of his eye watching you
He watched them slink back with a frown
The next day before his S/O woke up he asked to talk to the stalker
(They seemed a bit nervous… good)
“Gonta may be a gentleman but if you dare touch Gonta’s S/O….”
He grinned darkly at the stalker causing them to pale
“Gonta will be force to use ungentlemanly manners”
If they don’t stop their actions they may find their room infested with fire ants (or even worse army ants)
Now how could they got there?
Kokichi Ouma
He truly loved his S/O
Who know the Ultimate Toymaker would be so sweet and innocent?
(Plus they made tons of awesome toys for him!)
And so to protect his amazing S/O from unworthy people he made sure to stay with them at all time
(They didn’t mind of course they thought he was just a clingy boyfriend)
They didn’t notice the glares he gave other people for trying to take his S/O from him
(Or the fact that the people who did this tend to fall victim to his somewhat cruel pranks)
He was wandering around the halls (after making sure you where somewhere safe) testing out one of your new toys when he heard something
His curiosity peaked he followed the whispers to a room
Oho! It seemed someone was planning a murder so soon!
He listed for a while intrigued before he heard them say a word that made him frown
Your name
So they were planning on killing you then? Oh that can’t do
He entered the room slowly, with a dark look on his face
“Nishishishi~ So you plan on killing my precious S/O huh?”
The next day that person was found with both their legs broken still in the same room
But no matter how many times anyone asked they didn’t say who did it to them
Ouma hides the smirk on his face by burying his his face in your chest
Ryoma Hoshi
He was very protective over you
He couldn’t trust anyone in here to watch over his S/O
I mean this was a killing game
And you were an easy target with your naive nature and your not so threatening title of Ultimate Baker
So he did his best to intimate people away from you (it only partly worked unfortunately)
He watch the others out of paranoia constantly to make sure none of them tried to hurt you
So when he noticed someone slip a kitchen knife in their pocket he acted immediately
(As much as he wanted to kill the bastard he couldn’t.. he couldn’t leave you alone in this game you would die without him)
He cornered them in a hallway to confront them (his steel tennis racket in his hand and his steel tennis ball in his pocket, just in case)
“I don’t give a fuck who you plan on killing but if you dare touch my S/O I won’t hesitate to give you a fate worse than death.”
Seeing them pale when he mention his S/O made him frown
So they were thinking of killing you… well then this piece of scum had to pay
The person was found the next day with knocked out with blunt force and all of their fingers broken
A message was left at the scene of the crime
“DO NOT TOUCH S/O”
Korekiyo Shinguji
He was so possessive over you
I mean how could he not you were an angel
Your beauty far surpassed any other human
Plus with your happy go lucky nature and your wonder talent of Ultimate Storybook Writer
He had to protect your innocence from this tainted (yet beautiful) world
So when you two were put into this killing game
He made sure to follow your every movement, he couldn’t trust anyone to take care of his angel
Thankfully it seem his appearance manage to scare off some from associated with you
(That’s good, you only need him after all)
So when he noticed someone else following your every action he couldn’t help but frown
No no this couldn’t do
So he subtly followed the person to their room, and after making sure they were alone he spoke
“I’ve notice you following my S/O around… I suggest you stop before I am forced to beat you within an inch of your life you scum. You don’t deserve to be near my wonderful S/O let alone follow them around.”
The person know avoids you at all cost
Shuichi Saihara
Unlike the others on this list his yanyan ness was less easy to notice
He kept the mask of the nice detective on
But internally he was taking down info on everyone else
Finding exploitable weakness and blackmail galore
If anyone got to close to you, they would find a threatening letter in their room
Unfortunately your caring nature seem to attract people non the less
(It made sense since you were the Ultimate Caregiver but it still frustrated him)
So when he noticed someone’s plans to kill you, the mask was off
With an unnatural cold look on his face void of any emotions he approached the person
And unleashed all of the blackmail he had on them
“Listen to me. If you don’t want the entire world to know about your little secrets then you will stop your pathetic plans of killing my S/O. I would hate to be forced to use violence but I will not hesitate if I see you near them again.”
And like that the problem was solved
Kiibo
He had to protect you at all cost
You made him feel things that he didn’t even know were possible
He loved seeing the way your eyes sparkled as you babbled to him about plants
(He had so many recordings of you saved within his database)
But with your oblivious nature and your title of Ultimate Gardener
You were an easy target for the others
So he was always on watch, monitor your and everyone else activities twenty four seven
So one night when he was doing his usual stake out at your door (he didn’t need sleep after all)
He noticed someone trying to trap your door
That filled him with such rage that he didn’t even know it was possible
There may have been rules about killing
But they said nothing about deleting another student
And since it was night time no one could hear their screams
The next day the student went missing but no one could find them
A class trial couldn’t be held because after all you need a body for a trial
Rantaro Amami
You had such a kind and gently soul
It made sense you were the Ultimate Birdkeeper
But that caused a problem for him,you were an easy target in such a cruel game
So he manipulated you with kind words and affection to keep you wary of other students
And it worked partly
Some of the braver and more outgoing students still approached you and tried to befriend you
But his manipulation made sure you were loyal only to him
(Good)
But things turned sour when he saw someone try to slip something into your drink
Noticing this he ‘accidentally’ made you spill it on the culprit
He let out a fake apologize and helped them back to their dorm
Once the cost was clear, he pinned the culprit to the wall, hands around their neck
“This will be your only warning. DO NOT mess with my S/O got it? And if you dare try to tell anyone I threaten you I won’t hesitate next time”
He then let them fall to ground before walking back to the kitchen where his precious S/O was waiting for him
He couldn’t help the small smirk on his face seeing the person wearing a scarf the next day
Kaito Momota
You were his star, his sun, his everything
You were so precious and shy that you relied on him constantly
It was a bit odd with your title of Ultimate Knitting Master but you were so cute it didn’t matter
Thus being your shield he had to make sure to protect you in this odd game
He was always suspicious of the other students and made sure to always be by your side
So when he noticed someone watching you a bit too closely he knew what he had to do
He followed them until they were alone and jumped them, beating them within an inch of their life
“This is what you get for following my S/O around you son of a bitch!”
The person was discovered the next day, barely alive
But no matter what anyone asked they didn’t say anything
All that anyone knows is that they hole themselves up in their room now and refuse to leave
