18+ MINORS AND THOSE WITHOUT AGE IN BIO DNI
tags: @illiana-mystery
warnings: swearing, smut, unprotected sex (wrap it before you tap it kids), dom/sub relationship
My hand roamed through rays hair as he pressed his face into my neck from behind. His arms were wrapped tightly around my waist. Dana and the rest of the orchestra were under the gazebo, playing as Winston danced with his spouse. We gently swayed as the music played, a small smile grew on my face as I felt ray kiss my neck.
“enjoying yourself?” I whispered. Ray nodded. “Words Raymond.” He chuckled and kissed my neck again.
“Yeah. This is nice.” He whispered back. “Reminds me of our wedding day.” A bigger smile tugged at my lips as I remembered the moment he was talking about.
“yeah. It does.” I agreed. Ray lifted his head to kiss me. “Makes me think about our wedding night.” Ray blushed, squeezing my waist slightly.
“a repeat of that night wouldn’t be terrible.” He said softly, eyes roaming over my face. I smiled at him and nodded.
“it wouldn’t.” I agreed. The music ended and the dj took over. “Do you think Winston would be pissed if we left early?” I turned in rays arms and wrapped my arms around his neck.
“I think he’d be more pissed if we snuck out. Or worse ended up in the bathroom.” Ray chuckled, swaying to the music. He moved his hands over my hips, pulling me closer against him. “One dance and we’re gone. How’s that?” I nodded and laid my head on his shoulder.
“funny that he had them play our song.” I said, running my fingers through rays hair. I twirled the ends around my finger, glad that it had grown out some since he’d had to cut it to get all the marshmallow out. Ray hummed, smiling softly at me before pressing a kiss to my head. “You dog!” I laughed, pulling away to look at him. I gently shoved his chest as I laughed. “How did you convince him?”
“I didn’t. Peter made a bet with egon that he’d leave before any of us did.” Ray shrugged. “Winston heard and well let’s just say we’re all tired of Peter winning all the time.” We both glanced over to where Dana was talking with the other musicians. Peter was fidgeting next to her, glancing at his watch every so often. I shook my head.
“let’s head out.” I said softly, pressing a kiss just below rays ear. “The song sure helps but I think the look on Peter’s face when you go to the firehouse tomorrow is worth it.” Ray grabbed my hand and we hurried over to Winston. He smiled at us and shook his head.
“and here I thought egon was going to leave first.” Winston laughed. He shook rays hand as his spouse looked on in amusement. “Alright. Just don’t be too smug about it tomorrow when egon splits the winnings. Have fun you two.” Winston winked at us before hugging me. Ray and I blushed and headed out hand in hand. I looked back over my shoulder once to see Peter’s pissed off face. I laughed and turned back towards ray when he looked over at me.
“you should have seen the look on venkmans face.” I said as we got into the car. Ray held my hand the whole drive home and eagerly pulled me up the stairs, fumbling slightly with the keys when we reached the door. “Take a breath ray. We have all night.” Ray slumped against the door slightly.
“that does not help.” He sighed, glancing at me. When he finally got the door open and had entered, I spun him around and pushed him against it. Ray gulped as the door slammed closed behind him. “You missed the door knob this time.” He breathed out, eyes blown wide and cheeks adorably flushed.
“good.” I muttered before using his lapels to pull him into a kiss. “The height on that thing is shit.” Ray chuckled as he dipped his head to kiss along my jaw.
“you’re telling me.” He said, smiling as he nipped along the skin. “Bottom or top tonight?” I was walking backwards, pulling him by his lapels, to our bedroom.
“I want you on top of me.” I breathed out, putting one hand on his cheek to draw his lips back to mine. I reached for rays tie and tugged it off, watching his hair bounce back into place. Ray gave me a goofy grin as he started to undress me. I pulled him back for a kiss as I started to unbutton his shirt, slowly moving my tongue into his mouth when his jaw dropped with a moan.
“fuck.” Ray whimpered as I pulled away. I smiled at him and ran my fingers through his chest hair. “I need you.”
“you have me baby.” I whispered. Ray shook his head, dropping to bury his head in my neck. “What do you need sweetheart? You need to tell me.”
“you.” Ray breathed out as I reached down to palm him through his dress pants. “I need you.” I squeezed him gently and ray moaned. “I need to fuck you. Feel you.” He moaned again, breaking off as I pushed down his pants and underwear. Ray mouthed at my neck, grazing his teeth against my collarbone.
“that’s it baby.” I moaned. “Tell me what you need. Tell me how to make you feel good.” I pushed my fingers through rays hair, pressing him closer to me as he took my pants off blindly.
“need to fuck you.” Ray said, pulling away. His mismatched eyes locked onto mine, wide and loving. “Need to come.” I cupped his cheeks and brought him down for a sweet kiss. Ray hummed as his hands started to roam, hovering over my body.
“touch me ray.” I breathed out. His hands made contact with my hips, fingers flexing against my skin. I breathed out through my nose harshly as ray started to slowly map my body. “Raymond. Please.” I sighed as he started to kiss along my jaw. “Fuck me baby.” Ray pulled back slightly and looked at me, love drunk and needy. I nodded at him and he lined himself up, eyes only flicking down for a second before he locked eyes with me again. My fingers were still tangled in his hair and I tugged gently as he entered me. We both moaned at the feeling as ray bottomed out.
“Jesus.” Ray breathed out. Moving my hands down to his shoulders, I pushed him down. Ray hesitated for a second while I encouraged him to settle more of his weight on me.
“I’ve told you before ray, it’s ok. I like your weight on me.” I said softly, scratching his scalp lightly. Ray nodded and laid down some, settling his weight on his forearms next to my head. As I pulled him in for another kiss, ray started to slowly rock into me. I moaned against his lips. Ray groaned as I titled my hips up to meet his. One of my hands trailed out of his hair and settled on his back, my nails occasionally digging into his skin as he picked up speed.
“(Y/N). Fuck.” Ray whimpered. My hand trailed lower and I squeezed his ass cheek as he thrust into me fully. Ray moaned, his head falling back at the feeling.
“feel so good baby.” I murmured, unable to take my eyes off him. “Almost there. You can do it. Fucking me so well.” I kissed his cheek as ray tried to duck his head again. “Make me come baby.” Rays breath hitched as he lost his rhythm, rutting into me with abandon. We both tumbled over the edge together, each of us moaning the others name. Ray collapsed on top of me and I wrapped my legs around his waist while my hand went to his hair. My other arm was wrapped around his shoulders tightly. Ray made a noise and kissed my neck.
“you ok?” He asked softly. I nodded, pressing a kiss to his head.
“yeah. Never better.” I said softly. “You ok?”
“never better.” Ray said, lifting his head and smiled at me. I smiled back as I ran my fingers through his hair again. “Love you.”
“love you too.” I said as I pulled him down for a kiss. “So much.”

Y’all know what I wanna read? I wanna read a Ray Stantz hanahaki disease fic…
Like could you imagine it. No one thought it was a real thing, but reader (or maybe Ray could work either way…) come down with it. In fear of what the weird disease is they go to Egon for a little help in understanding it, but when he tells them it’s an unrequited love disease they panic.
Egon then continues to tell them that they can talk to the person and maybe just maybe it’s not one sided… but reader shakes their head not really believing that could be a possibility. Egon asks if he can know who it is to hopefully help more, but the person refuses to answer not wanting anyone to find out about and asks if there’s any other options. Of course Egon tells them the only other option is the surgery that would make them forget the person all together. The reader (or Ray…) immediately deflates and doesn’t know how what decision to make so slowly they start to distance themselves.
They weirdly start to feel better for a bit and so they do Egon about it, but he just shrugs and tells them it can be very unpredictable each person could go through it completely different. Then all of a sudden they again start feeling bad and it slowly gets worse so reader stays distanced. Bonus points if the reader is Peter’s little sister and so that could make her like another best friend to Ray. Like they could literally all be so close. Like could you just imagine the angst of it all?
My goodness it’d be so heartbreaking yet so beautiful to read especially if they end up together in the end. Like the angst and fluff vibes that could be added to it all.
I myself would write it, but like I have way to many WIPs in progress and can’t, but it’d definitely be a good read. Especially because technically in the Gohstbuster world that wouldn’t really be a real disease, but like it totally could just be like just something they just didn’t know was a thing.

❙. tara sat outside her father's office, working on homework and other things she had to do for school. ❙.
in the corner of her eye she saw the red sprayed on words that read 'venkman burn in hell' on the door of her father's work space.
she couldn't help but laugh. it was cruel yet also comical.
tara could hear the girl from inside go "i don't know. they're just coming to me." she rolled her eyes, knowing what dad was doing.
he'd tell ALL the girls they were right and at the end of the session, he'd convince them to hang at his place. worked like a charm.
she began to wonder if that was how he got her mom pregnant in the first place?
as thoughts of her mom began to cloud her mind. she had a rather tough time focusing on the homework before her.
"dammit. i don't know what to do." she swore under her breath, shutting the binder.
egon had left an hour ago, while ray she had no clue where he was.
egon and ray were big into the supernatural. ghosts, particularly. while, her dad was a total skeptic and went along for the ride just for the hell of it.
"i'm getting a little tired of this!" snapped the boy from inside.
tara shut her eyes, shaking her head.
"dad needs to knock it off." she mumbled.
she grabbed her backpack from the floor, slipping her binder inside. she set it back down as she stood up. she made her way over to the door ready to put a stop to her dad's childish actions.
"you volunteered, didn't you? we're paying you, aren't we?" her father reminded him.
"yeah, but i didn't know you were giving me electric shocks." admitted the boy. "what are you trying to prove here anyway?!"
"i'm studying the effect of negative reinforcement on E.S.P. ability." her father briefly explained to the boy.
"the effect? i'll tell you what the effect is, it's pissing me off!" the boy snapped.
tara winced, not expecting the boy's sudden outburst. she felt a little bad for him.
"well, then, maybe my theory is correct!" venkman snapped.
"you can keep the five bucks. i've had it." the boy grumbled.
tara moved out of the way just as the door to the office swung open.
she watched the boy storm off, mumbling curse words under his breath.
she moved back over to the door, listening in on her father's conversation to the girl.
"you may as well get used to that." he told her.
tara rolled her eyes, knowing where this conversation was leading to..
"it's the kind of resentment that your ability is going to provoke in some people."
"do you think i have it, dr. venkman?" asked the girl.
she could hear the fast shuffling of feet coming her way.
tara made sure to get out of the way of the door again, not wanting to be crushed or pushed to the floor.
"hey, tara!" ray quickly greeted her.
he opened the door to her father's office, not caring if he was busy or not. he clearly needed to tell him something, something big.
tara followed ray inside the office, in which she saw her father kneeling down in front of the girl with his hand set on her shoulder.
she again rolled her eyes.
"this is it." ray announced.
"what is?" tara questioned.
ray turned to her, giving her a smile before turning his attention back onto his coworker.
"this is definitely it!" ray expressed, excitement hinted in his tone.
tara's dad known as peter (cause it's getting annoying referring to him as just her dad) glanced over at her, hoping she had some kind of answer to what ray was rambling on about.
in response, she shrugged.
"will you excuse me for a second?" peter asked the blonde.
he stood up from his crouched position.
"i'm right in the middle of something, ray!" he said through clenched teeth, hitting him over the head.
tara shook her head, scoffing.
"dad, stop being a child. you have a thousand girls coming to your office each week, it's not the end of the world if you don't end up in this one's pants." in which she completely called her dad's "play boy" personality out.
peter shot her a glare to which tara smiled in return.
it was never calm between the two.
peter moved his attention back over to the blonde who had a look of confusion written on her face.
"she was joking." he assured her.
the woman seemed to be calmed by that statement, which took tara by surprise.
'wow, she really is that dumb.' tara thought to herself, before going over to ray who now stood there awkwardly, fumbling with his camera.
"i need a little more time with this subject." he explained to ray.
"subject? or play-" peter quickly cut his daughter off by smacking his hand over her mouth.
"could you come back in an hour and a-" this time tara cut her father off by licking the palm of his hand.
"tara! what the hell?!" he yelled, retracting his now wet hand.
tara laughed.
peter rolled his eyes before turning his attention back onto ray.
"peter, at 1:40 p.m. at the main branch of the new york public library on fifth avenue, ten people witnessed a free floating, full torso, vaporous apparition. it flew books off of shelves from twenty feet away and scared the socks off of some poor librarian!" ray gushed.
"my brain only picked up on half of what you said, but woah awesome!" tara said in awe.
"i know!" ray agreed with her.
"i'm very excited. i'm very pleased." peter said, void of emotion.
"no you're not, you're just excited to get into another girl's-" "tara, stop it." peter ordered.
tara frowned. "make me."
"i want you to get right down there. check it out, and take tara with you." he dragged tara over in between them.
"no, no." ray shook his head, knowing what peter was doing.
he wanted out of this.
"get right back to me. the two of you. i'll be there in spirit." peter settled.
"no. peter, you're coming with us." ray
informed him. "spengler, went down there. he took PKE valences, went right off the top of the scale. buried the needle." he explained.
tara considered bringing her homework with her to see if egon could help her. then again, she began to wonder if the ghost perhaps could..
"we're close on this one. i can feel it." ray left the room. leaving the girl, the estranged father and daughter in the room all by their lonesome.
peter exchanged eye contact with his daughter and went; "aren't you going too?"
tara scoffed. she walked out, brushing past him before leaving the room.
ray was waiting for her.
"hold on. i want to hear this." tara told him.
she placed her ear up against the door, to get a better listen on what the two had to say to each other. it was going to be totally cheesy!
"i have to go now, jennifer." peter announced to her. "but i'd like to work with you some more. perhaps you could come back this evening, say at..." he trailed off.
"8:00?" the girl took a guess.
whenever her dad brought a girl over, it only meant he'd be kicking tara out for the evening so he could have some alone time.
tara didn't mind it though, she preferred staying at egon or ray's place rather than her own.
"i was just going to say "8:00?"" peter said, mimicking the way the girl said it. "you are a legitimate phenomenon!" he complimented her.
tara began slamming her head against the door, hoping she'd knock herself unconscious from it.
"what's all that noise?" she could hear jennifer ask.
"oh, nothing! it's just-" the door swung open, almost making tara fall. peter poked his head out "stop it!" he hissed before slamming the door shut "nothing. it's fine." he assured the blonde.
tara kicked the door before grabbing her backpack and making her way over to ray.
"okay, let's go." she said to ray.
*
peter eventually caught up with them much to tara's dismay. now, they were walking up the steps to the library.
"as a friend, i have to tell you you've finally gone around the bend on this ghost business." peter told ray. "you guys have been running your ass off, meeting and greeting every schizo in the five boroughs who says he's had a paranormal experience."
"why are you such a skeptic?" tara asked her father, curiosity hinted in her voice.
peter stopped in his tracks, taking a look at his daughter. "because, tara there is such things as drugs and when people take drugs they see things that aren't really there."
she scoffed.
"of course, you forgot peter. i was present at an undersea, unexplained mass sponge migration." ray said as they entered the building.
"oh, ray..." peter groaned. "the sponges migrated at a foot and a half." he added as he snuck up on egon who was sat on the floor, busy listening in on something with his stethoscope.
peter knocked on the table, making egon think it was the ghost.
"dad, stop it!" tara hissed, hitting him in the arm.
"egon.." peter said ominously.
peter slammed the book back onto the table, startling his coworker.
egon took off his stethoscope, seeing that it was just peter goofing off.
"hi, egon." tara greeted him.
egon made eye contact with tara, noticing she had on her backpack. he automatically knew her bringing it only meant she needed help on homework.
"i'll help you later." he promised her.
tara nodded. knowing he fulfilled his promises unlike a certain someone...
"what have you got?" ray asked him.
"this is big, peter. this is very big." egon said, describing it the way ray did earlier. "there's definitely something in here."
"egon, this reminds me of the time you tried to a drill a hole through your head, remember that?" peter asked, humorously.
egon shot him a look. "that would've worked, if you hadn't stopped me." he grumbled.
a man in a suit came up to them, standing behind tara.
tara eyed him, before moving herself to stand closer to egon.
"hello. i'm roger delacorte." the stranger introduced himself to the group. "are you the men from the university?" he questioned.
"yes. i'm dr.venkman. dr.stantz. egon and that's my daughter tara." peter said, introducing the group to the man.
"is she uh a doctor too?" roger asked.
tara gave the man a look before peter went in and said "yeah uh no, far from it." in which she gave her father a death stare.
"thank you for coming." roger said, changing the subject.
tara heaved out a sigh, egon glanced over to her to which she faked a smile in order to show she was "okay".
"i hope we can clear this up quickly and quietly." the man hoped.
"let's not rush things. we don't even know what you have yet." peter stated.
*
the man took them to where a very shaken up librarian was to interview her on what she had witnessed.
she was laid out on a table, describing the situation to the boys.
the woman looked to be in her mid to late sixties. her hair was strewn about, while her expression read fear and her body looked tense.
"i don't remember seeing any legs, but it definitely had arms, because it reached out for me." the woman described.
"arms? i can't wait to get a look at this thing!" ray gushed.
tara giggled, shaking her head.
"alice, i'm going to ask you a couple of standard questions, okay?" peter informed her.
as soon as peter asked his first question, tara knew where this was going. he either thought she was on drugs or schizophrenic or both.
"my uncle thought he was st.jerome." she admitted.
peter shot the boys a look, obviously his mind started to go to drugs.
tara bit her tongue, for once trying hard not to call her father out on his stupidity.
"i'd call that a big "yes"." he said, sounding cocky. "are you habitually using drugs?" tara facepalmed. "stimulants, alcohol?" he further questioned.
"no." the woman denied.
"no. no. just asking." he told her. "are you, alice, menstruating right now?"
"dad?! what the hell?!" she snapped.
"what?! she could be!" peter defended himself.
"that's not something you ask a woman!" tara told him off.
"back off sweetheart, i'm working." he said with a cocky grin.
"that's it." tara said, about ready to go and kick her father's ass until ray grabbed a hold of her pulling her far away from him.
peter smiled and waved, angering tara even more.
she flipped him off. not caring how mean she was being to her father.
to her, he deserved it.
egon and ray were more of dads to her than peter ever was. well, that's what tara thought.
"ray! it's moving. come on." egon announced.
ray set tara back down on her feet before quickly following egon out of the room.
tara glared at her father before going off to find ray and egon.
peter sighed, reluctantly following the three further down into the library.
*
egon was at the head of the group, holding a device called a PKE that tracked the ghost's whereabouts.
peter lazily trailed behind them, with a look of boredom written on his face.
they went into a random aisle, seeing a tower of books in the middle of the aisle.
"look!" ray pointed out.
egon scanned the books with the PKE, while ray held up his camera.
"this is hot, ray." egon conversed with his fellow coworker.
tara inspected the books, wondering how long it took this ghost to pile all those books for.
"wow. i should do this to barricade my bedroom door next time." she spoke to herself.
"please, don't." peter requested.
tara ignored him, moving herself away from him and closer to egon.
"symmetrical book stacking. just like the philadelphia mass turbulence of 1947." ray commented.
"you're right." peter said. "no human being would stack books like this."
"no, you wouldn't. you're not neat or symmetrical." tara sassed him.
peter shot her a look, before moving on with his friends.
ray stopped. "listen!" he exclaimed.
the group fell silent, trying to listen to whatever ray told them to listen to.
"you smell something?" ray then asked.
tara didn't know how 'listen' and 'you smell something' went together but they WERE the professionals here, so she decided not to question it any further.
egon's meter buzzed as the four slowly inched themselves away from the tower of books.
going into the next aisle. it was an aisle full of filing cabinets, papers were strewn and all of the cabinets were open.
"talk about telekinetic activity. look at this mess!" ray exclaimed.
"raymond, look at this." egon went.
tara followed ray and egon over to an open filing cabinet which had a gooey substance that looked an awful lot like snot dripping from it.
she closed her eyes, her nose scrunched up in disgust. "oh my god. what is that?" she asked, feeling like she was going to puke.
"ectoplasmic residue!" ray cried, answering tara's question.
tara reopened her eyes. trying her best not to look at the snot like substance.
egon took out a container from his coat, he held it up in peter's direction and went "venkman, get a sample of this."
tara couldn't help but laugh.
"tara, care to do the honors?" peter asked her, taking the container from egon.
tara quickly regretted laughing because she did NOT want to be in contact with that thing!
she shook her head "no" vigorously.
peter smiled. "that's what i thought." he hummed.
"it's the real thing." ray stated, filming it.
peter made his way over to it. "look, somebody blows their nose and you want to keep it?" he questioned.
tara was now stood behind egon, she didn't even want to see it in the corner of her eye.
"i'd like to analyze it." egon answered.
"there's more over here." ray pointed.
"oh no." she whimpered.
"i'm getting stronger readings here." egon commented.
tara stuck by egon, with her eyes screwed shut. she held his hand, making sure she didn't bump into anything or well any of the snot. (🥺🥺)
"this way!" egon called to her father.
tara took one last look at her father, she saw him turn to the books and spread the remaining "snot" left on all of them.
"i hate you." she whispered before quickly following egon and ray into the hall.
peter looked where she once stood, having heard what she said.
"love you too kid, love you too." he muttered before following the group.
*
"egon, your mucus." peter said, handing him the container.
just as he said that, a book shelf from behind them toppled over.
"holy shit." tara said with widened eyes.
peter gave her a "did you really just say that?" kind of look.
"what?" she snapped.
peter turned to ray and asked "this happen to you before?"
ray shook his head.
"huh. first time?" he assumed.
in which, ray nodded his head yes again.
they walked on in silence, the only sound coming was egon's PKE meter buzzing.
the buzzing noise intensified as they went through a second row of books.
going out into a hallway, the meter hummed steadily now. egon put his hand out, stopping the group from going any further.
egon walked ahead of them, keeping an eye on his PKE meter as it kept buzzing.
the three went over to egon, to which they saw a purple see through ghost across from them reading a book.
tara looked in awe. she couldn't believe it. ghosts really were real!
"it's here." egon announced to them.
"a full-torso apparition, and it's real." ray whispered.
egon nodded. he couldn't believe it either.
peter looked disinterested. just wanting to be done here.
"so, what do we do?" he asked casually.
egon and ray looked to one another, unsure of what to make of their next move. they've never gotten this far.
"could you come over here and talk to me for a second, please?" peter requested.
peter grabbed a hold of ray's ear, repeating his question.
he dragged ray down the hall, with egon following.
tara was stood there, awe struck by the ghost.
"tara, you too! come here." he hissed, snapping for emphasis.
tara huffed, doing as she was told.
"what do we do?" he repeated his question.
"i don't know, what do you think?" ray asked egon.
"maybe try to talk to it or something? treat it like a normal human being." tara suggested.
"a normal human being? tara, it's not even human." peter corrected her.
"you're not normal, but we still treat you fine." tara shrugged.
peter huffed. "i don't have time for this right now. what do we do?" he asked, growing impatient.
"tara's right. we should try to make contact." egon agreed with her.
tara smiled. happy to be right.
"one of us should actually try to speak to it." ray nodded.
"well, since tara suggested it. she should go." peter said, dragging tara out from their hiding spot.
"no." egon declined, dragging her over to him.
"then, who do you want to possibly do it?" peter questioned.
they all looked to him.
peter sighed. he turned around and started making his way towards the ghost.
ray got out his camera, getting ready to film.
the three followed peter out into the hall where the ghost was quietly reading, minding her business.
"hello." peter made himself known to her. "i'm peter."
to which she ignored him.
"where are you from?" he asked her. "originally." he added.
the ghost turned to him, she put her index finger up to her lips and shushed him.
tara snorted.
peter turned to the group, he made his way over to them.
"alright, okay." he said, leading them back to where they were previously. "the usual stuff isn't working."
"okay, i have a plan." ray announced. "i know exactly what to do."
"tara, stay here." egon requested.
she watched them tip toe out into the hall. slowly, making their way over to the reading ghost.
"now, stay close." ray instructed. "stay close. i know, do exactly as i say." he ordered. "get ready."
as they were mere inches from her, ray yelled out "get her!"
to which the ghost turned demonic, letting out a monstrous roar.
the boys screamed, struggling to get away from the demonic ghost.
egon grabbed a hold of tara, throwing her over his shoulder as they made a run for it.
"did you see it? what was it?" asked roger from earlier.
"we'll get back to you!" peter assured him.
"what?!" roger yelled.
tara watched mindlessly as the boys scrambled down the steps running as fast as they could, while people on in confusion.

Muppethell: calls Nathan out just because Nathan writes Dan Aykroyd fanfiction, and acts like he/they can speak for Dan Aykroyd
Werebelushi: Muppet, sweetie I'd hate to tell you this but if you don't like his stories, then maybe just maybe they're not for the likes of you. Really? You think they read like porn, oh you poor deluded creature. sarcastically Yes, it is Nathan's fault Dan Aykroyd is so sexy and thicc. Also you have a thing for the Childcatcher from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang, okay, why? You do know that dude is supposed to be scary, right? Oh, you developed a fetish for him when you first saw the movie as a teen, huh? Well that exclaims that then. You always were fucked up. Also how cute, you think you can speak for Dan Aykroyd. Dan doesn't know who you are and even if he did, i'd be afraid of you if I was ihm, because if your Martin Short hyperfixation is enough to go by…yikes. I know you're the one who keeps trying to make MartinShortXSteveMartin a thing, they're married and straight for pete's sake, just because they work together doesn't make them gay. And also YOU called Nathan out and called him out on the Simp Central discord server when all Nathan did was be himself. sarcastically Oh noes, Nathan wrote fanfic about someone turning into the very same celebrity you like, horror of horrors. Oh Nathan should be so lucky that it reads like porn, as far as those fics go it doesn't go over PG-13 or R in terms of mature content so you know, Mel rarely does sex scenes or even nude scenes due to how self conscious she is. You would have a heart attack if you discovered Furaffinity, CYOC and Transformania Time exist. Oh yeah especially the latter, let's just say one that starts off as an elderly person turning younger and turning into a muscular demon only to turn into a sexy female demon goes full on Cronenberg meets HP Lovecraft where he/she turns into a writhing mess of body parts. Oh yes, and the horse dildo story in CYOC. Nathan doesn't deny his weirdness in the slightest, in fact he acknowledges it and is revered for it, heck up until you started bitching about him, the people on Simp Central loved him. Oh, your muturals should hear this, huh? What mutuals? Like what person would agree with your bullshit views? No one that's who. Trying to get the other server members to ditch Nathan didn't help your cause. Also fyi calling John Belushi, Dan Aykroyd's 'dead best friend', seriously? Way to undersell John and Dan's friendship, man-bitch. Also if your boyfriend likes you, your brother either has poor taste or he very much was drunk when he first started following you because I can't imagine anyone being attracted to you at all, also lastly…uhh, hello, you left your fucking documentation about your headcanons on a public link that anyone could click on and edit, it's YOUR fault. Nathan just happened to click on it, but hey…I guess now everyone knows how you wanted to adapt new headcanon for the curator character from Alice Cooper's Welcome To My Nightmare. Speaking of which, I am going to make sure that you won't be sleeping for the rest of your life, call me Freddy, because i'm your nightmare on elm street. Fyi, it's just fiction, dude. I am not impersonating Belushi nor do I claim I am him, I am not using his likeness and name for illegal use, it is not like I am making NFTs with Blues Brothers sunglassess or anything. Anyone can dress as Jake or Elwood, it's not a complicated look to pull off, anyone can wear a suit and tie. Besides, multiple Dan Aykroyds going around sounds like fun. I like the idea of being Dan or his characters, except if it's Vic Frohmeyer…I hate that guy. If I was the admin of that server I would have kicked you off instead.

The fact he broke his promise twice and very much disobeyed the mods to talk about me behind my back and yet the mods thought I was being annoying (Hey I was relatively loved by everyone on that server up until that point) and yet this idiot who claimed he can speak for Dan Aykroyd and John Belushi despite you know...being born years after the latter passed away, is somehow not the one who got scolded at. I am sorry but what buisness was it of him to question my fanfiction about an entertaining I love?
I block Superspyro7956 only for him to very much berate me using an alt account of his and not only that but he was talking about me to people on the Simp Central discord server, calling me out and trying to rally his ‘mutuals’ against me (as if they will ever believe him), yet the people on the simp central discord server thought i was the annoying one? Up until Muppethell started acting showing up I was well liked.

So you know how I said I was gonna write a short Ray fic based on that garage kiss in Some Kind of Wonderful?
GUESS WHAT I DID IT
I’ll be posting it here and on archive of our own! Find me there at egonspenglersnose and give it some love!)
It’s based on this scene and this song if you need a little more context! Enjoy!
•••
She Loves Me
Word Count: 2939
Warnings: none it’s fluffy!
The day had started off normally enough, aside from the usual craziness that often occurred around the firehouse. Spring was in the air, and after what had felt like a bleak and oppressive winter, it was finally time to open up the doors and air the place out.
It felt good, letting the spring air in, and it made your overtime far more bearable.
You often stayed late a few times a week to make sure everything was caught up on for the next day when things got busy during the work week, something which Janine always appreciated greatly. Tonight was no exception, but the sun staying out for a longer time in the evenings definitely made it more enjoyable.
It also helped that Ray had lingered behind this evening to work on the Ecto. You had always been incredibly fond of him, and it was obvious to just about everyone that a crush had blossomed on your part.
You recalled the day you had met him; they had hired you on the spot mainly because they needed the help but also because you had a fairly impressive resume, and Ray was one of the first of the guys you had been introduced to.
He was quite honestly one of the best looking men you had ever met, and so incredibly sweet. You immediately liked him and got a good feeling about him.
You loved how passionate he was about the Ecto, and his overall knowledge of cars had always impressed you. Even if you didn’t know much about them, you loved his enthusiasm for them and it easily rubbed off on you.
Now, as you finished up the last of your paperwork for the evening, you could hear him tinkering away not far from you. Ecto had her fair share of problems, but there was nothing Ray wouldn’t do for that car. It was like another member of the team, and you couldn’t imagine the guys doing anything without it.
Ray would occasionally come in from where he was working for something he needed, and your eyes would meet on occasion. You had never had the guts to tell him of your feelings. Ray was just so cute and enthusiastic about what he did that it was hard NOT to give him heart eyes 24/7.
From time to time, you would hear him shuffle in for a drink of water or a missing wrench that he had left in the lab, smiling at him as you took in the sight of his wild brown hair and big, sweet eyes. How was it fair for one human to be that cute? You felt like you were sixteen again with the way you wanted to fawn over him.
However, restraint was a quality you possessed as well, and you hoped that you had been able to be somewhat subtle around him.
Oh well, maybe someday you would have enough courage. Sighing as you finished up your paperwork for the night, you stood to stretch your back, adjusting your jeans, purse and blouse as you made your way towards the door.
“She still down and out?” You asked Ray as you came to stand carefully beside the lovely car he had so caringly constructed and repaired. It really was his baby, in a funny way, and you respected the work that had gone into it a great deal. Ecto kept the guys in one piece, and you gave the vehicle a sweet little pat on the roof as if to say thank you.
“Not if I have anything to say about it,” he said, his voice echoing off of the metal interior before attempting to stand up too quickly and bumping his head on it. “Ow!”
“You okay?”
“Yeah, it always gets me like that,” he chuckled, rubbing the spot on the back of his head that had been bumped and smiling that sweet, bright smile of his at you that always made you melt. “Are you headed out for the day?”
“Yup, unless you need anything else from me that is,” truth be told, you would’ve gladly stayed all night just to hang around with him. Ray seemed hesitant to fully say Goodnight, and you couldn’t help wondering if he was thinking the same thing.
“Well, uh...hand me the socket wrench?” You had gotten a fairly decent rundown of which tools were which upon receiving your first car as a teenager thanks to your father, so luckily you knew exactly what he needed. “Thanks.”
“Sure thing,” adjusting your purse on your shoulder, you couldn’t help asking about a case that had piqued your interest. “How did that class 5 turn out?”
“The one from yesterday?”
“Yeah, that one sounded nuts!”
“It was,” he laughed, “Venkman’s aim is getting better, he didn’t make any chandeliers explode this time.”
“I thought that one was Egon?”
You both laughed, and part of you was thrilled at how naturally conversation came for the both of you.
Needing a socket wrench turned into needing pliers, but soon enough Ray ran out of tools to need and it was clear that he really just wanted to spend time with you. You weren’t about to object in the slightest, comfortably sitting on a nearby stool and watching as he worked.
Truth be told, he had liked you ever since meeting you on that first day. You were always kind to him, and listened to anything he had to say no matter how out there it was.
He also couldn’t help thinking that you were incredibly pretty and very smart, but his own shy nature prevented him from saying so the way he wanted to.
A long time passed with you talking to Ray as he worked, and it was quite nice. The sun was setting now, the light golden as it streamed in from the open door beside the Ecto, but you didn’t mind.
“So Venkman seriously busted up this woman’s entire China cabinet?” The conversation had strayed back to Venkman now, and you couldn’t help laughing. He was such an odd duck, and you always got a kick out of him and his wild antics.
“We were able to blame it on the ghost being rowdy, but my god, it was a mess!” Ray tried to smooth back his messy hair as he laughed again, his hands covered in engine grease and not helping the situation much.
“He seems like he can be a real peach when he’s not causing trouble,” you rolled your eyes, smiling as Ray closed up the Ecto’s hood.
“He teases me plenty, that’s for sure, but I love him. He’s one of my best friends,” Ray was clearly fond of Venkman, and you didn’t doubt that their bond was a special one.
“What on earth does he tease you about?”
“Mostly my luck with women. Not that his is anything to go by,” this got a gut laugh out of you, and you were surprised by how witty Ray could be at times.
“No kidding. What, does he think you haven’t got game or something?”
“He tells me women won’t want to kiss me since I smoke so much.” Ray rolled his eyes, and you couldn’t help thinking about how far from the truth that actually was. “Or he acts like I don’t know how to do it at all. I mean, sure, I spend a lot of time at work but I’m not a complete hermit.”
You both laughed again, and you sat your purse on the ground as you got a rather cheeky idea. Was it even smart to try and approach things like this? Would he go for it? God, you hoped so.
“I’m sure you know how. I mean, everybody has a general idea of how to lay a proper smooch on someone if they want to.”
He raised an eyebrow at this, thinking the phrasing was humorous and wanting to hear more from you on this subject in particular.
“A ‘proper smooch’?”
“Yeah, you know. The kiss that kills. Butterflies and rainbows and all that stuff.”
He watched you as you took a few causal steps toward the Ecto now, the gears visibly turning in his head. Was this some subtle attempt at flirting?
The nearby radio, which had been playing softly in the background the whole time, played a song that perfectly fit the mood, the lyrics softly ringing out as you contemplated what to say next.
‘Who made the rule
that I should always play the fool?
All the nights I suffered
when I need not have bothered…’
“I don’t think I’ve ever had one of those, now that I think about it,” he admitted with a half smile.
“I uh...I think I’ve gotten close, but never all the way there,” you tucked a bit of hair behind your ear, watching as Ray adjusted his uniform, which he still had on. It had smudges of engine grease on it now, and you found it endearing.
He realized that this chance was now or never, gauging by the look in your eyes that you wanted what he wanted and deciding to go for it.
“How would it work? I mean...you seem like you know more about it than me,” he took a step closer, and you knew your eyes were shining in an undeniably flirty way.
“Oh you—you want me to show you?”
“I mean...if you feel up to it. I’m no expert and I could use the help.” Cheeky man, you thought. You could certainly show him if that was what he wanted.
“Do you have your eye on somebody, Ray?”
He wiped his hands on a nearby rag, the tension heightening as you watched them and then met his eyes again. You had always had a thing for those wonderful hands of his.
“I guess you could say that, yeah,” he nodded, his big brown eyes warm and sincere and you knew what he wanted to say but didn’t right then.
Instead of pressing further, you nodded, thinking this might be the most fun lesson you ever had the pleasure of teaching anyone as you got right into it.
“Well...I mean, first you have to start off in a stationary position. That helps,” he was closer now, and your cheeks flashed a soft tinge of pink as the space between you lessened. You didn’t usually have it in you to be playful, but decided to gently hop up on the hood of the Ecto in an attempt to bring him closer. “Come a little closer than that. Can’t do a thing from that far away.”
You moved to scoot nearer to the edge of the hood, willing Ray closer and practically beaming as he closed the space between you both more and more with each step.
Had anyone else sat on the hood like this, Ray might have gotten finicky, but the sight of you so close to the car he loved so much actually only ended up getting him going even more.
“It definitely helps,” he rubbed the back of his neck now, seeing that this had clearly turned into something beyond just a lesson in kissing techniques. You could smell his cologne now that he was so close, which only seemed to set your senses on overdrive even further.
“Now, uh...do you know where your hands go?”
His eyebrows raised in what seemed like a mix of curiosity and confusion, and you couldn’t help the way your breath hitched now that he stood directly in front of you.
“My hands?”
“Yeah. They go on the hips of whoever you’re kissing,” the mood had certainly shifted now, and you felt more daring than you ever had before. A timid smile crossed your face as Ray allowed you to guide his hands to the appropriate place, and the realization that this was definitely about to happen made your stomach do leaps.
“Hips, got it.” God, his hands were so strong and steady and you didn’t even care if this got engine grease on your jeans, it was just thrilling to have him this close.
“Okay, now look into my eyes. Eye contact is important.” The both of you gave a shy, breathy chuckle as your eyes met, and you playfully shoved Ray’s chest. “Come on, we’ve gotta take this seriously if you want to learn anything.”
“Sorry, I get a little skittish with these things,” he admitted, and you shook your head with a smile.
“It’s okay, but the lesson isn’t quite over yet,” you said, your cheeks noticeably warmer. The tension was enough to make your heart race.
“Alright, and uh...after that?”
“Well, uh...my hands go here,” you reached up to loop your arms around his neck, inevitably bringing him directly between your legs and causing Ray to clear his throat.
“How do you, uh...I mean, how do you know that that happens every time?”
“I watch a lot of TV, I guess,” you managed a soft laugh with this, “now, uh...close your eyes.”
Ray’s heart was pounding. Was this seriously about to happen?
“Close my—? Oh, yeah, okay.” He nodded a bit, doing as you said and knowing he had wanted this for what felt like forever. He was so handsome up close, and you couldn’t believe your luck.
It was time to go in for the kill, and you didn’t waste a second.
Leaning in, the first contact was soft and exploratory, and it took Ray a moment to figure out exactly how to respond. But once he got the angle right, it was everything you had described and more.
The music swelled on the radio nearby, and you thought you could’ve melted right then and there.
‘The minutes that we missed
idle lips that should’ve kissed
and now gently together
The first kiss lasts forever
She loves me, she loves me
Oh and she loves me, all the time…’
Tilting his head a bit, Ray found just the right angle, and one kiss turned into what felt like a million. Your hands made their way into his hair, that hair you loved so much that often seemed to fly out in all directions.
His lips were soft and very pleasant to kiss, and it occurred to you that he must use lip balm of some kind. Ray himself couldn’t believe this was happening. He honestly couldn’t fathom how he had been lucky enough to end up kissing you like this, but he was, and he was putting everything he had into it.
Ray’s mind moved at a million miles a minute. All he could think about was how it felt when you moved in a rhythm with him, how soft your lips were, your soft body, and how GOOD you smelled—
He nearly sighed as he felt your leg brace around him to bring him in as close as possible, gripping your jeans to pull you close by your hips in return.
You nearly melted into a puddle on the floor at the feeling of his grip, so strong and firm on you like he couldn’t bear to leave any space between the two of you at all.
He must have shaved that morning, you thought, having expected him to have at least a little stubble and feeling surprised that there was none. Where on earth had Ray learned to kiss so well? Boy would Venkman have egg on his face if he knew about THIS.
Unfortunately for you both, you had to break away and breathe at some point, just looking at each other until you finally managed to speak.
“Well, uh...Venkman was wrong. Way wrong. Wow.”
“It was...I mean, was it like you said? Butterflies and—and all that for you too?”
“Are you kidding?” You laughed, “sheesh, I didn’t know you had that in you. You wouldn’t have any trouble hooking any woman you wanted if you kissed her like that.”
He seemed surprised and incredibly flattered, looking down and then back up at you with a grin and eager brown eyes.
“Was it obvious at all that I was referring to you?”
“I kind of hoped that was the case,” both of you grinned then, the final chorus of the song fading out in the background as the spring breeze blew in once more.
‘She loves me, she loves me
Oh and she loves me all the time…’
You couldn’t resist leaving a sweet peck on Ray’s cheek just because you could, earning a bright smile from him as he got a somewhat playful gleam in his eye.
“The guys are gonna be gone for the rest of the evening, and I don’t have anything else planned...would you want to grab some dinner with me?”
“Sure, but only if we can do more of this afterwards,” you giggled, and Ray helped you off the hood of the Ecto to stand you up and kiss you so that he could press you flush against him now. You were sure you looked like a cartoon character with birds chirping around your head as he pulled away.
“You drive a hard bargain,” Ray said, unable to keep from grinning as he took your hand, “but you’ve got yourself a deal.”
What a lesson to teach with anyone, you thought. He was a fast learner, that was for sure.
Picking up your purse, the two of you headed out, and you couldn’t help humming that lovely chorus to yourself one last time.
‘She loves me, she loves me
Oh and she loves me all the time…’

18+ MINORS AND THOSE WITHOUT AGE IN BIO DNI
tags: @illiana-mystery
prompts from @creativepromptsforwriting
prompts used:
“Can you be my girlfriend?” “I already am.” “Oh lucky me!”
“You look almost as pretty as this moon.” “That’s a street lamp.” “And you’re almost as pretty.”
“Oh, I think we haven’t met before.” “We have been in a relationship for five years now.”
“Let’s get you home.” “Oh, mine or yours?” “Ours.” “Oh, wow!”
“How many drinks did you have?” “Yes, yes I am.”
warnings: swearing, drunk ray
AN: yeah that’s a lot of prompts. But u can’t tell me ray wouldn’t be the cutest cinnamon roll when drunk.
I laughed to myself as I headed into the firehouse. Egon had called me and practically demanded I come get ray. The entire first floor was covered in beer cans and streamers. The evidence of whatever party they had thrown lay all over the floor and the ecto. There was a noise from upstairs and I shook my head as I started to climb the stairs.
“come on. Just one more.” Peter was trying to get someone to give him something and I nearly gagged before seeing Peter trying to grab a beer can from egon.
“Peter, I cut you off ten minutes ago. You need to sober up some before I let you have this.” Egon said, holding the can above his head. I let out a surprised laugh as I saw ray climb onto the table to grab the beer can. Both egon and Peter turned to look at me as ray grabbed the can and jumped off the table with a triumphant grin even as he nearly fell to the floor. He started laughing as he cracked it open and started drinking.
“What the fuck did I walk into?” I asked, walking over to ray to help him up. He took my hand and stared at me as he slowly stood up. His eyes were wide and I recognized the look on his face. I blushed when he made an ‘o’ with his mouth.
”oh, uh, I don’t…I think we haven’t met before.” Ray said, eyes scanning my face. I smiled softly at him.
“Ray, sweetheart,” I giggled. “We’ve been in a relationship for five years now.” He started pouting, the look on his face making it clear he didn’t get it.
“Oh.” He said. “Can you be my girlfriend? If…if things don’t work out…” I looked down and squeezed his hand.
“Raymond, I already am.” I said, kissing his cheek to drive my point home. Rays eyes went comically wide, making Peter laugh behind us.
“Oh! Lucky me!” Ray squeaked out. I smiled at him. I shook my head as I turned back towards egon. He shook his head at the two of us as Peter collapsed on the couch with laughter.
“How many drinks did you have?” I asked. Ray gave me a dopey smile.
“Yes,” he said, grin growing. “Yes I am.” I sighed and shook my head at him.
“ray.” I sighed as I reached over and ran my fingers through his hair. Ray moved so he was standing behind me, wrapping his arms around my waist and resting his chin on my shoulder. I hummed as he pressed closer to. “Egon?” The man in question raised his eyebrow at me. “How much as this one had to drink?”
“half a case.” I sighed and nodded. “His last beer was an hour ago though. Well before the theft of Peter’s.”
“it’s going to be a long night.” I breathed out as ray tightened his hold on me.
“I think you’re right.” egon agreed. “I’m not sending him home to Dana like this. But you’re more than welcome to take ray home.”
“thanks for the vote of confidence egon.” I laughed. He rolled his eyes at me.
“I just mean that ray is going to be the lovey dovey boyfriend times ten and you’re more than capable of dealing with that.” Egon tried to explain himself. “Peter on the other hand…” he trailed off as we watched Peter try to come on to a pillow. “I do not want to subject Dana to that at all.”
“agreed.” I laughed as I gently pried ray off me. “Night egon. Peter.” I took ray by the hand and started to lead him downstairs.
“Where are we going.?” Ray asked.
“let’s get you home.” I said softly.
“Oh,” ray muttered. He took a second to step through the door before I tightened my grip on him, making sure he wasn’t about to fall over before heading towards our apartment. “Mine or yours?”
“ours.” I chuckled. Rays eyes went wide again.
“oh wow.” He breathed out. “I get a long term girlfriend and an apartment in one night.” He mused, casting his eyes to the sky. I looped my arm through his to better help him walk and squeezed his bicep.
“yeah. Lucky you.” I laughed. Ray smiled up at the sky as we walked. When he nearly walked into a lamp post, I stopped him and cupped his cheeks to make him look at me. “Hey ray sweetheart. You need to watch where you’re going ok? I can guide you but you still need to help alright?” He nodded before looking back up. I chuckled as his dopey grin came back.
“You look almost as pretty as this moon.” He said, looking back at me. I giggled and wrapped my arms around his neck.
“ray, that’s a street lamp.” I said, running my fingers through his hair. He nodded, humming as he looked back up.
“yeah.” He said, looking at me again. “And you’re almost as pretty.” I shook my head with a smile before guiding him down into a kiss. Ray hummed happily as he kissed me back. “I feel like I keep lucking out tonight.” He breathed out as he leaned his head against mine.
“I keep thinking I’m the lucky one.” I said, gently scratching the back of his neck. Ray chuckled as a shiver when down his body.
“I think I’m sobering up some.” He said.
“well we can’t have that!” I laughed as he offered me his arm. We started walking back to the apartment again.
“yeah we can.” Ray said, leaning into me. “Sober is good.”
“you’re not wrong.” I said, leaning into him. “While I love drunk ray, I absolutely adore sober ray.” He smiled at me as we climbed up the stairs and headed towards our door.

As someone who has never seen The Best Of The Blues Brothers and has seen BB 2000, TBOTBB is the better sequel
I hadn't heard of it for an embarrassingly long time but I finally got around to seeing it.
It's mostly a compilation of excellent moments of the Blues Brothers' lives as narrated by Dan Aykroyd and a friend of his as they share a meal at a restaurant, occasionally accompanied by Elwood Blues. It explains the differences between the two's lives and how Elwood is grieving over Jake.
What makes it a glorious sequel is that it shows us how Elwood is truly feeling post-Jake and actually SHOWS! EMOTION!
I would recommend it as a very good angsty sequel, full of glorious fanfiction potential (hint, hint, fanfic writers), but if you have many emotions about Elwood and Jake's relationship as Brothers, I would approach with caution and tissues.

Chapter 2
“"get her!"" peter mocked ray.
tara rolled her eyes.
"that was your whole plan?" peter asked ray. "get her?" "it was scientific." he teased.
"i thought it was a good idea." tara voiced.
ray turned to her. "thank you."
she nodded in response.
"tara thinks everything you and egon do is cool." peter reminded him.
"yeah, because they're cool and you're not." tara informed him.
peter pretended to act hurt.
"i-i just got overexcited." ray admitted. "i mean, but-but wasn't it incredible, pete? i mean, we actually touched the etheric plane."
trailing not too far behind was egon, who was busy looking at his PKE meter.
"you know what this could mean to the university?" ray rambled.
tara went and joined with egon. wanting to know what he was working on.
"what is it?" tara asked him.
egon showed her the device, before going over to the boys to share to them what he had shared with tara.
"i wouldn't say the experience was completely wasted." egon noted. "according to these new readings, i think we have an excellent chance of actually catching a ghost and holding it indefinitely." he explained.
peter looked at them in disbelief.
"well, this is great!" ray cried.
egon and ray started walking together, leaving tara and peter behind.
peter quickly caught up to them, with tara following shortly behind.
"spengs, you serious about this catching a ghost?" peter questioned.
"i'm always serious." egon truthfully answered.
"don't question the professionals, dad." tara ordered.
"egon, i'm gonna take back some of the things i've said about you." peter confessed.
tara remembered all of the dumb things peter would say about egon and ray, going from dimwits to very foul words she'd rather not mention. he mostly said those things when he was drunk.
peter pulled out a candy bar, handing it to egon.
egon looked down at it in confusion.
"you've-you've earned it." he told him.
ray chuckled. finding it amusing.
*
"the possibilities are limitless." ray said as they entered the university building.
there was another man in the room, moving around boxes. tara's eyes widened, thinking the absolute worst.
"oh no." she whispered.
"hey, dean yeager." ray greeted the boys' boss.
dean turned around, looking at them with a smile on his face.
it didn't seem genuine to tara.
dean slowly approached them, as a man holding a large tank came exiting through the door they just came through.
"i trust you're moving us to better quarters on campus?" peter hoped.
"no, you're being moved off campus." the dean corrected him.
tara sighed.
"excuse me." tara made herself known to the dean. "but, why?"
"the board of regents has decided to terminate your grant." the dean clarified. "you are to vacate these premises immediately."
tara was in shock. why, the sudden termination? what did they do?
"this is preposterous. i demand an explanation." peter ordered, speaking for the whole group.
"fine." the dean gave in. "this university will no longer continue any funding of any kind for your group's activities." he explained.
"but the kids love us." he argued.
"dr.venkman, we believe that the purpose of science is to serve mankind." he went on.
ray watched sadly as a boy dragged one of his machines out of the room.
tara blocked the rest of what the man was saying out. she had been going to this university with her dad since she was born. this was where she met egon and ray. it was going to be hard to leave this all behind.
"your theories are the worst kind of popular tripe, your methods are sloppy, and your conclusions are highly questionable. you are a poor scientist, dr. venkman." the dean insulted him.
tara dropped her bag, creating a loud 'slam' when it hit the floor.
all eyes were on her.
"are you on drugs or something mr.dean? because my dad AND his friends have done more for this university than you have. YOUR methods are sloppy and what YOU do is highly questionable. so, maybe take a look in the mirror before you go and try to call people out for all the crappy flaws that you have!" tara thundered.
the dean had a look of hurt mixed with anger on his face, while a smile was plastered on ray's face, egon was surprised by tara's sudden outburst and for once in her life her dad actually looked like he was proud of her.
"get out now!" the dean ordered.
*
"this is a major disgrace." was the first thing ray said when they left the university.
tara stood off to the side, still processing over what she had said to the dean. she had a tendency to add herself into a conversation, especially when it had nothing to do with her which got her in trouble. she hated when people were mean to her father. she could be mean to her dad all she wanted, but when it wasn't her doing, she'd make those people regret it.
"forget M.I.T. or standford now. they wouldn't touch us with a 10-meter cattle prod." ray said with a shake of his head.
egon went over to tara, who had her head down and was thumbling with the zipper of her coat.
"are you okay?" egon asked her.
she looked up. "yeah." she lied.
she still couldn't comprehend the fact she wouldn't be going back to the university. she was so used to it. she hated change.
"it's going to be okay." egon assured her.
"thanks. i hope so." she replied.
egon and tara went over to the others.
peter was sat up on the ramp of the stairs. tara stood next to him, leaning up against the ramp.
"you're always so concerned about your reputation. einstein did his best stuff, when he was working as a patent clerk." peter argued.
"do you know how much a patent clerk earns?" ray questioned him.
"no." peter answered honestly.
"personally, i liked the university." ray admitted. "they gave us money and facilities."
"me too." tara said, quietly.
ray gave her a sad look, knowing how much leaving the university had an affect on her her.
he looked back to peter continuing the conversation. "you've never been out of college. you don't know what it's like out there."
peter rolled his eyes.
"i've worked in private sector, they expect results." he added.
"for whatever reasons, ray." peter pushed himself off the ramp. "call it fate, call it luck." he grabbed his bottle of alcohol before walking beside ray. "call it karma. i believe that everything happens for a reason."
tara stayed back. stuck in a world of her own as her dad went on.
he looked back, realizing tara wasn't following.
"tara, are you coming or are you just going to stand there looking like a statue?" he asked her.
tara closed her eyes, heaving out a breath before catching up with the two boys.
"i believe that we were destined to get thrown out of this dump." peter continued.
"for what purpose?" ray inquired.
"to go into business for ourselves." he shared.
he handed the bottle of alcohol over to ray, knowing he needed it.
tara felt like asking if she could get a sip, but she wasn't up for arguing with her dad over it so she decided not to even ask.
ray reluctantly took it, taking a small swig of it.
"this ecto-containment system that spengler and i have in mind is gonna require a load of bread to capitalize." ray set out. "where are we going to get the money?"
peter took the bottle from ray, he took a long swig from it. "i don't know. i don't know." he said before taking another swig from the bottle.
tara sighed. "of course you don't." she mumbled.
*
after a long hour and a half. the boys and tara left the city bank, with a sad looking ray trailing behind.
"you're never going to regret this, ray." was the first thing peter said to him when they walked out of the city bank.
"my parents left me that house, i was born there." ray told him.
"you're not gonna lose the house." peter assured him.
"don't get your hopes up ray, you know how my dad's terrible at keeping promises." tara reminded him.
"i know." ray said. "that's why i'm scared."
"there is no need to be scared! you won't lose the house and tara i am not terrible at keeping promises. you just have high expectations." peter defended himself.
"yeah, well that was when i was a baby. growing up made me realize i have to lower my expectations in order to live with you." tara shot back.
"you haven't done that much growing up, you're twelve." peter corrected her.
"yes, twelve but old enough to know when someone can't keep a promise." she defended herself.
peter sighed. he turned his attention back onto ray and went; "you're not going to lose the house. everybody has three mortgages nowadays."
"but at 19%?" ray inquired. "you didn't even bargain with the guy!"
"ray, for your information, the interest rate alone for the first five years comes to $95,000." egon stepped in.
"will you guys relax?" peter begged. "we are on the threshold of establishing the indispensable defense science of the next decade; professional paranormal investigations and eliminations." he announced.
"told you so." tara butt in.
"told me so what?" peter asked her.
"told you, you wouldn't be a skeptic for very long." she clarified.
"i didn't say i was a skeptic." peter defended himself.
"yes, you did. many times." she clarified.
"well, i'm not anymore. so i hope you're happy." peter said, putting an end to the conversation.
*
a couple more hours went by and the group came across a vacant firehouse for sale. after talking to the realtor, they were able to get a tour of the said firehouse.
"there's office space, sleeping quarters and showers on the next floor and there's a full kitchen on the top left." the realtor listed off.
"i could live here." tara said as she looked around.
"but it just seems a little pricey, for a unique fixer-upper opportunity that's all." peter conveyed. "what do you think, egon?"
"i think this building should be condemned. there's serious metal fatigue in all the load-bearing members. the wiring is sub-standard, it's completely inadequate for our power needs and the neighborhood is like a demilitarized zone." egon voiced.
"it's not that bad." tara shrugged.
"hey!" cried ray.
they all looked to the source of where his voice came from, a pole chipped away of it's paint stood with ray standing on the edge of it's ramp.
"does this pole still work?" he wondered, before sliding down it.
"where is it?" tara asked, excitement lined in her voice.
"up those stairs." he pointed.
tara nodded, running off to go and slide down the said pole.
"tara, come back here! we don't know how safe it is." peter called.
"well, i went down it and i'm still here." ray pointed out.
"yeah, but tara is clumsy." peter reminded him, while looking up just waiting for her to come crashing down.
tara slid down the pole like so, without falling or breaking any bones in the process.
"oh, thank god." peter sighed of relief. "i don't have the money or the time for medical bills."
"this place is great!" ray exclaimed.
"yeah. we should take it." tara agreed.
"when can we move in?" stantz asked. "you gotta try this pole. i'm going to get my stuff." he added, before running off to do so.
"i'm getting my stuff too!" tara cried, going to run in the opposite direction before peter picked her up by the back of her collar.
"hey! we should stay here tonight." ray suggested. "sleep here. you know, to try it out?" he said before going up the stairs.
"yes! we should!" tara exclaimed.
peter turned towards egon.
the lady slowly made her way over to the boys.
tara noticed her father was still holding her.
"can you put me down?" she politely asked.
peter carefully set her back down onto her feet.
"thank you." she mumbled.
peter turned to the smiling lady and went; "i think we'll take it."
"good." the lady replied.
*
tara woke up in the middle of the night with a jolt. sweat rolled down her face, as her breathing was heavy.
she looked around the darkened room, hearing nothing but snores coming from the next room.
she pulled her legs up to her chest, staying that way until she soon fell asleep again.

I smiled to myself as I heard the Ecto pull back into the driveway. The door slammed and the garage door opened as I finished drying the dishes. I hummed as ray came into the kitchen as I was putting the last dish away. He hugged me from behind and buried his face in my neck.
“good bust?” I asked, reaching back and running my fingers through his hair. Ray made a noise that almost sounded like he was purring.
“Terrible bust. It went to shit.” He muttered when I removed my hand from his hair. “These ghosts that were just…think of venkman, multiplied by three, and amped up to ten.” Ray said. I groaned.
“I’m glad I didn’t go on that bust.” I said, leaning back into him. “Drop them off already?”
“I…I didn’t get them.” Ray said softly. “Couldn’t catch them on my own. And I didn’t want to bother the guys with this so I just…left.”
“oh ray.” I sighed as I turned to cup his cheeks. “That’s not…what the fuck?” Ray lifted his head and I frowned at the mustache covering his upper lip.
“what?” He asked, eyes scanning my face. “What’s wrong?”
“you disappear for weeks to go on busts across the country and come back with that.” I said, reaching up to brush my finger across his upper lip. “What the hell raymond?”
“oh that.” Ray laughed. “I don’t know. Egon started growing a beard and I just kind of…followed I guess.” He shrugged. “And Peter’s doing it too. The kids on campus were saying it’s no shave November. Where you don’t shave for the whole month.”
“Yeah Dana mentioned Peter was growing a beard.” I smirked. “Said it hurt something awful when he…well ya know.” I shrugged.
“That’s one reason I didn’t grow a beard.” Ray said, rubbing his nose against mine. “Plus I started to and I didn’t like the way it felt.” I giggled as he smiled at me. “You know I couldn’t resist going down on you. But hey if I lose I lose. I don’t care.”
“I’d be lying if I said I didn’t like how you look with it.” I bit my lip as I looked him over. Ray chuckled as he drew me close.
“yeah?” He asked, eyes flickering down to my lips.
“yeah.” I said, running my hands over his chest. “What do you say we head to the bedroom and make sure you can keep playing?” Ray bent down quickly and threw me over his shoulder as he took off for the bedroom. “Raymond!” I laughed as he kicked the bedroom door closed.
