Okay, this is pure speculation and I’m just basically talking out of my ass, but IF the PR relationship theory is true, then Presley may be an indicator. I do believe that all Kaia’s public relationships were/ are PR stunts. So, let me fantasize a little. First, this whole Pete Davidson thing. After dating Ariana Pete was HOT(He still is tbh, I think that he is like cheap hype and publicity for celebs at this point). Cindy and Rande wanted Kaia to be famous since she was 10. I’m convinced that they paid for the articles before she was even legal. Then, as soon as Kaia turned 18, BOOM, Pete Davidson, dating, “candid photos” etc, etc. But then they probably had to break the contract, because Pete was indeed dealing with mental health/drug issues and our favorite helicopter parents finally realized it was a bad idea. I remember these photos of Kaia’s parents outside her apartment, when Pete was “freaking out”. It was late at night and I think it’s strange that the paps were there to witness this whole Kaia/Rande/Cindy/Pete drama. Gives me stages vibes too, tbh.

After Pete, there was this whole Cara thing going on. Presley’s meltdowns, tattooed face. If you read Daily Mails articles about this family in 2020, you can see that there was a lot of strange things going on and their reputation was not good, to put it nicely. Also, around this time Kaia got interested in acting. During this year, there were a lot of rumors and speculations about Kaia’s sexuality, what she has to do with Cara/Ashley etc. And then….surprisingly….she started dating Jacob Elordi! Yeah, right amid sexuality speculations, Presley’s meltdowns and starting her acting career. Her relationship with Jacob looks absolutely the same to me as her relationship with Austin. Stupid staged pap walks, zero chemistry, “happy and in love” articles. The only difference is that she posted something with him rarely on social media, unlike with Austin(Because making even a simple “Happy Birthday” is strictly forbidden, it seems). They date for a year and then suddenly break up. Maybe, this contract was just for one year, as Kaia was only 20 at that time. Besides, Euphoria hype was dying down slowly and there was another star raising on the radar. Austin is actually a very logical target for Kaia’s PR, especially since her family’s obsession with Elvis is creepy at this point.

So, yeah, a month after Elordi split, we have Kaia and Austin. Where did they meet? How? When? No one knows. I’m finally getting to the point why I think Presley might be an indicator of their relationship status. I hate this whole Gerber family, it gives me major Kartrashian vibes, BUT Presley is the only one I like and can tolerate. He seems the most real and genuine. I genuinely appreciate his idgaf attitude, so I think whatever PR campaign Gerbers have for Kaia, Presley is either not engaging at all or doing bare minimum. You mentioned that Presley unfollowed Austin for the first time in 2022. Looking back at her relationship with Elordi. Let’s say the contract was just for a year, maybe at first the contract with Austin was also just for one year, but then they saw how much publicity it brings Kaia and renewed it. Probably they went from one year contract to three. This may actually explain why Presley unfollowed Austin so suddenly this year.

But anyway, this is just my wild imagination. Also, sorry if my grammar sucks, English is not my first language, but I hope you got my point.

But yea, your theory is actually a good one. All we (and even the general public) have picked up on with this couple is that something seems off.

I honestly wouldn't be shocked at all of Kaia and Austin's relationship has always been just PR. I actually think it started as PR. Maybe it grew into something more "real" as time went on, but as of right now, the love seems to have fizzled out in this ship long time ago.

It also seems like she sought him out, and imo, that's always the kiss of death for most relationships with guys. I always kind of feel like the guy should be a little more into you than vice versa if you want a guy who gives you the best relationship.

Another thing, maybe I'm in the minority, but I actually feel like her relationship with Elordi seemed more genuine. He was always hanging around her and her friends even while he was dating Zendaya 😵‍💫, and I think that he and Kaia genuinely had things in common. They're also both kind of weird with weird tastes for things.

I kind of think Jacob had his eye on Kaia even while dating Zendaya. I think she had all the power in that relationship. She even told Elordi early on in the relationship to shave his mullet off. You're only doing stuff like that when the man went after you and you know that the man likes you a bit more than you like him.

With the Kaustin relationship, it seems pretty clear to me that Austin is pretty much running that show. Kaia seems needy, clingy (remember the Taylor Swift concert video? The perfume video?🤭), she changes her personality and habits to fit his, copies what he says in interviews, her family has supposedly been putting pressure on Austin to settle down with Kaia, etc. To me, Austin is clearly wearing the pants in that relationship. This might also be slightly different from the Aunessa relationship, where Vanessa (being older) may have been more of the one to control things. To me, Vanessa seemed way more secure in her relationship with Austin.... maybe because she was older? Or, maybe she just knew that he actually really loved her.

I kind of feel like if Kaia were actually the one who was in control in the Kaustin relationship, she wouldn't feel the need to do half the stuff she's been doing. She'd be perfectly secure in the relationship.

Your thoughts about Presley are pretty spot on. He seems like the least likely to try to keep up a fake rosy-colored view of the family.

He definitely unfollowed Austin again from social media, and hasn't re-followed him like he did Ayo. Make of that what you will.

Idk why Deux Moi is wondering why people are constantly sending in messages about the status of their relationship. If she is so in the know and knowledgeable about celeb gossip then she more than anyone should be aware of the breakup articles written about them over the last 2 weeks. Also, on her podcast she and her friend made sure to emphasize the fact that what is downstairs in the Odeon is bathrooms and that both Kaia and Marcelo were down there for 30 minutes...hmmmm...sure that isn't weird at all...She just keeps saying they're together based off of some alleged sighting. Daily Mail is no longer attaching "girlfriend of Austin Butler" to Kaia's name and the recent sunday spotted or whatever it's called...mentioned Kaia having dinner with her SNL co-star, nothing of Austin. Normally by now, we would have seen some pap walk where Kaia is making sure to look into the camera's direction and Austin looking miserable as hell... so far...absolutely nothing...It isn't dumb to be wondering if they're together or not and quite frankly Deux Moi doesn't exactly sound super confident in this recent report, she's just regurgitating some random ass sighting...which by the way...anyone can write it if they wanted to.

DM to me is a low key shipper and rides hard for this relationship . I try not to take anything she says to deeply.

Normally I would not even glance at a Life & Style article, but given the new music mention, it made me pause at the Taylor Swift Thinks Travis Kelce Could ‘Flourish in the Studio’: They’re ‘Writing Lyrics Together’. Do you think this is planting a seed for a possible William Bowery II, or is it just “made up or from very unreliable sources?”

Life and Style is absolute garbage. They have never gotten an exclusive from a reputable source in their lives. Not once. Not even ever getting a reputable source who wanted to spread disinformation. 95% of it is 100% made up by them and the other 5% is based on fan speculation, which is sometimes correct, so if they get it correct, it’s because the fan speculation was correct. Not because they know more than you or I.

Do not pay it any mind. If by some chance Taylor decided to hilariously grace us with Billiam Wowery, it will be 100% coincidence or luck that L&S said this.

To put it into perspective, gossip rags that are 95% garbage but have actually gotten occasional good exclusives include the Daily Mail, Deux Moi, US weekly, TMZ (somewhat better than 95% but still a lot of garbage) and Page Six. If they say “exclusive” or quote a spokesperson for the celeb, then you can believe it came from an official source. However, if they say “sources close to the star” without the word “exclusive” it’s just as likely to be from garbage sources or made up as true. It’s possible that it’s made up garbage that is planted by their teams to throw people off or create speculation that eventually will be proven as untrue, but I honestly don’t think Taylor does much of that. It’s possible, but again just because garbage is coming for Taylor’s team does it make it any less worth throwing away.

For example US weekly yesterday had an exclusive source say “nothings’s changed. They are still together.” No other useful information from sources was included in that article. But that tidbit should tell you that travlor’s official people are saying this is what we should all be believing. And when she shows up on Monday, it will confirm it to everyone. However in similar articles you might see things like “previously, people close to the celebs had said they are ready to get engaged.” This is from a separate source that’s not exclusive and not official and from an earlier date and published in an earlier article, often from different publication (which they will cite.) For example, it might say “sources close to the singer previously said, as reported in the Daily Mail, that their loved ones expect an engagement soon.” This is a whole other thing, but because they put it in a same article as the one that is official saying they’re still together, people conflate the two “facts” and think to themselves “nothing has changed so their loved ones still think an engagement is soon.” Ignoring the fact that this first unsubstantiated garbage source said that 6 months ago and it stretches our imaginations of what “close” and “soon” mean.

Stay in school kids. This is why your high school English teachers made you analyze readings.

~~Edited to add another example how to read celeb gossip news: People just came out with an article about Travis’ diet and how he has to ignore sweets to stay in football shape. Now, People is the most “reliable*” and “reputable**” outlet when it comes to articles that have sourced information: their sources are the official sources. But this article does not cite an exclusive or sources close to the celeb or a spokesman for him. It is a fluff piece regurgitating public information that Travis said on his podcast this week, then going back and reiterating things he’s said in the past on his podcast. It is not an interview he did with People or anyone else, except to his brother on his edited podcast that he recently did a $100 million dollar deal on. They did a click-baity headline to get clicks, and wrote up a blurb about the silly things he said about staying in football shape. Just because it’s in People doesn’t mean it came from his camp exclusively to be published in People, or that this is part of some sort of selling of a narrative. It’s just a fluff piece that People published because they know any Travis content right now will get clicks.

*reliable means that they are spoon feeding us information directly from publicists which is not the same as the truth. Look at it as the official narrative that certainly has some semblance of truth or at least won’t be proven to be a lie later down the road.

I follow you for your Israel and Jewish posts, and honestly I've no idea about anything Mileapo but it always makes me happy to see you posting about them because it means you got a fun little break from the hard shit

First, for following me. Second, for being so kind, and caring about me getting a bit of fun as well.

I'll just say Mileapo seem to be (on top of handsome and talented) genuinely kind. It's in little things like the way fans caught on film Mile behind the scenes, thanking the security staff at one of their events. People usually talk about how kind stars are with their fans, but I liked that he was kind with some of the people who are usually invisible, the ones who are not fans, nor fellow actors, or in the entertainment business at all, staff Mile might never see again in any other event, people who he's not likely to benefit from in any way after that specific event is over, but he took the time to acknowledge and thank them. Just being reminded of kindness is always beautiful to me, and extra needed during these times. From what I've heard about Apo, he's got social anxiety and is more socially reserved than Mile around strangers, but is equally as kind with everyone.

So yes, I do still follow them, even if I don't post about them daily like I used to. It means a lot that someone who doesn't know them, still cares about my well being enough to be happy over my Mileapo posts. It's like a circle of kindness, and that feels like a blessing, so again, thank you! And I hope you're also taking care of yourself, and making sure to find little comforts where you can find them! *hugs*

Second, the other day Apo shared a video on IG from his bday party back in February. Mile commented this -

And while it's def meant to come across as him teasing Apo, as if he's celebrating his 3rd bday anniversary, because he's such a joyful kid, I couldn't help notice that it's also 3 years since the first time they got to celebrate their bdays together. Coincidence? Maybe. Three is a typological number, so it's possible that when Mile wanted to throw out a random small age, it just happened to be 3. But this "anniversary" of them re-meeting and getting to do this together might have been somewhere in the back of his mind, too.

Speaking of things I have only guesses about, the other day Mile might have flown somewhere, possibly as part of a job for Guerlain. He posted to his IG story a pic from the airport, and added the bee emoji (bee is Guerlain's symbol, Mile's used this emoji before when posting about jobs he was doing for this company). Did he fly out, where to, or is this just a random throwback pic from a previous trip for Guerlain? IDK. But the very next day, Mile shared the song, "Ain't No Sunshine" (which goes, "Ain't no sunshine when she's gone"). We know that Mile and Apo have repeatedly used the moon symbol for Mile, and the sun for Apo, going all the way back to February 2021. So, it might be Mile missing Apo on main. Wouldn't be the first time.

Which reminded me of the last time when we know for sure Mile went away for a Guerlain event, in Malaysia. Mile wore a bee pin on his jacket, and performed "Nothing's Going to Change My Love for You." On the same day, Apo posted to his IG stories a black screen, with the exact same song playing as the soudtrack.

Yeah, I think music is def a part of their love language, and that day proves it beyond any doubt (whether we think that this love is romantic or platonic).

Third. Recently Mileapo went on a trip to New Zealand to film a Taiwanese variety show (and possibly do a Dior photoshoot while there as well). On the flight there, Apo was taking a pic with a Hong Kong celeb he's friends with, and in it, he was seen wearing a silver ring. In the past, this ring was identified as very likely Mile's, when Apo wore it for his own bday celebration in Feb 2023.

We also got this pic from the New Zealand trip. Beyond the fact that Mile's hand under Apo's jacket is doing things to me, that specific piece is the pink Dior jacket that fans suspect Mile bought for Apo ahead of the BOC Japan trip (where Apo was first seen wearing it), because Mile was caught on film talking to a sales lady right after Apo called him over to show him the jacket. So, did Apo fly to New Zealand with a ring and a jacket he got from Mile? IDK, but it's def a nice thought, and a reminder of how intertwined they are.

I think she is. A Little bit already.

First, her “husband’s” fanbase despises her. Not all, but I’d say a loud minority that’s also out there ready to snatch her wig for anything she tries to do (lol).

Anytime she does something remotely embarrassing there’s a group of people waiting to out her - remember Liberia? 😂 and they have receipts and keep screenshots. She can’t hide unless she goes private but then she’ll never get more followers. 🤣

And if she thinks these people will stop if she has his baby? She can think again. That’s never happening. I think she burned all opportunity to make peace with his fan base and people want to see her gone. There are a ton of crazy fans that go way too far, yes, but unfortunately shes made enemies for life. Her movie backed by the largest US talent agency made no noise at all in any of the box offices and especially not in the United States of America. She was only only in it briefly and the reviews don’t even mention her. Not really going to help her future IT girl case because in comparison, like Jenna Ortega gained 10 million fans in like two weeks. I’m sure a bunch of them were bots too but let me tell you EVERYOne was watching Wednesday back in Nov-Dec 22. So her gaining that much really isn’t that far off the bat. Not to mention, AB’s big moment to shine was around the same time as Jenna and Jenna beat her and didn’t have to date anyone famous. 🙊

Even Chris back in 2019 - his peak popularity and then 2020 - he was trending at times daily, weekly. He was trending #1 on twitter for at least 24-48 hours during his oopsie weekend. His tweet after that telling people to go vote got millions of likes. He used to get crazy engagement just for breathing. I remember after endgame and then knives out people were talking about him like he had just popped up on the scene…this man had been in the industry at least 20 where at that point. lol

Chris came on IG and I’m pretty sure he gained a million followers in about 24 hours. Yes, there are celebs that did it faster than him but remember he’s always been more of an under the radar celebrity and he never really tried to be otherwise. So for the fact he was hitting 40 years old and joined IG ten years after everyone else and got 1 million the first day is impressive. So yes, he had star power. Jenna has it now.

And yes, CE has lost that star power and in part it’s due to him being with AB. So yes, he’s losing due to his decision to be linked with her, which could be called his karma…

Lastly, her “husband” is still more popular than her. Even though his fanbase has deteriorated she hasn’t gained more popularity’s I think this may really really grate her (don’t ask me why, I just have this feeling) because she’s the young and vibrant one. She wants to be adored and no matter what she tries to do, photoshopping herself in every picture she posts, she’s not outgaining him in terms of recognition. People will only know her if his name is added first.

So…yeah. Maybe you think she has it all and she’s not getting anything bad. But I would say karma works in mysterious ways. Sometimes it’s not as obvious as you think.

alfie – would've went on a club tour around the uk the minute he got off the show (iykyk). there's absolutely a photo of him sucking some girls toes in a yacht in ibiza somewhere (cough). also made an appearance on celebs go dating.

Falling into the Fandom

Your work week has been crazier than normal.   The last few years had been intense, with budget cuts your department of 10 has dwindled down to 6, but the work was divided out and you were all making due. But now, with James on vacation and Julia on maternity leave, there wasn’t much time to breathe.  

This is the monotony that had become your life, go to work, take a short lunch break so that you have something in your system besides coffee, then head home late, leaving a pile of work for the next day, grab some take out on your way home just to repeat it again the following day.  Thankfully, having to work on the weekends was not part of your humdrum existence, so you tried your best to have at least an entire day of something just for you.  

Occasionally meeting friends for brunch with bottomless mimosas, but usually binge watching your favorite TV or movie series.  That was until you were scrolling through social media and caught a notification for Comic Con coming near you next month.  

You didn’t usually attend these events, the cost usually rather intimidating, but this time you decided to at least see who might be there.  Clicking on the link you were shocked to see the wide range of appearances from nearly every series you followed.  

There were actors from Supernatural, Stranger Things, Marvel, DC comics, Walking Dean, Criminal Minds, Chicago Fire, 911, The Boys, Top Gun, The Wicther, Last of Us, Star Wars, and the list just kept going.   The more you looked the more excited you got about the idea of spending a long weekend at the cheapest hotel you could find and getting to meet as many of your celebrity crushes as you could.  

Now that you think about it, it wasn’t just the actors you had a crush on, the characters were a bigger part of your life than the people you actually spoke to on a daily basis.  Before you went to sleep that night you had your weekend booked, you were excited to say the least and you had something fun to look forward to while you dredged through the next month of her normal routine. 

The only difference this month was that weekly activities were as frugal as possible, planning on spending more of your weekly budget on meet and greets and photo ops with as many celebs and characters you could fit into the weekend at Comic Con.   

Packing up everything you needed for the long weekend, the only thing left to do was make sure your brother would be checking in on your cat before the 2 hour drive to the convention center to check out the vendors before the weekend began.   To say you were excited when you finally hit the road was an understatement, this weekend would hopefully be the highlight of your year and bring some true joy back into your life.

I will always love lone star but I just don’t see myself watching it again. Not when one of the main stars blocked me for being a #hater. My “hater” crime was advocating for Palestine while his country was killing innocent civilians. I see so many people in my notifications daily who are reblogging my old edits and I just thought I’d let some of you know I won’t be editing the new seasons and I would prefer not to be tagged in anything lone star related. I just can’t deal with my favourite character being portrayed by someone who went out of their way to act the way he did. Unfortunately I was born with the inability to forget when celebs act like little cunts. So I can’t separate actor from character this time around.

Meta Corporation Non-Specific Holiday Special - Review

Confusing…

I’ll be honest with you folks - when I was asked to review this special, I was mostly convinced someone was pulling my leg. Meta - previously known as Facebook (which remains the company running said decaying social media platform) - has unleashed upon this poor, poor, world and star-studded half-hour of ‘entertainment’ meant to promote its brands.

It begins with an opening number by obscure Euro-pop group Gleeful Habit, which this reviewer was entirely unfamiliar with, and now yearns for that time. The hook is weak and the lyrics indecipherable, but one gets the idea that Mark Zuckerberg is personally a fan of the group and pushed for their inclusion.

Not to worry though, next is an AI-generated hologram recreation of Dolly Parton singing All I Want for Christmas is My Two Front Teeth cross cut with an uncomfortably long extended version of I Want a Hippopotamus for Christmas. She repeatedly mugs the camera, winking and raising one eyebrow as if to suggest there is some connection between these two songs. Thematically, there really is not. And I can’t be bothered to check if they’re written by the same person, I just can’t.

Following this, she jumps into Zuck’s HTC First smartphone (a deep cut even for tech nerds, a failed ‘Facebook Phone’ from a decade ago) to explore the For You page of Instagram. And yes, it really is just five minutes of scrolling through popular short-form videos. There’s no cohesion, they’re not even all holiday-related - in fact, one of the Reels is just a still image of that really sad Spongebob. Cyber-Dolly smiles blankly all the same.

It pans out to show the real Dolly Parton in a recording booth with about fifty other celebs, including Tom Cruise, Mariah Carey, Gal Godot, and Chrises Pratt, Hemsworth, Pine, Evans, Brown, Lloyd, and Walken. The lopsided group sings Do They Know It’s Christmas before being played off by another performance from Gleeful Habit of the first song they played. Which is apparently called, Breaking the Axe of the Santa Klaus.

Given the prominence of Christmas in the special, one considers a possibility that it is “Non-Specific” for not targeting any audience at all. It’s hard to imagine that with all the options available, people will find this charming enough to come back to it in a year’s time. My time will be better spent with Home Alone 7, The Star Wars Holiday Special, and Grandma Got Run Over By a Reindeer.
