Waverly drunkenly tells Wynonna how much she loves Nicole’s Boobs and why. Wynonna does not want to hear it.
Wynonna and Waverly have a sister night out or a sister bonding time together
which often means that they are drinking together and joking around
the Earps usually don’t get drunk and they have a high tolerance tbh
but somehow Waverly gets a little drunk during this time and she opens up to Wynonna about her sex life
which Wynonna is like um no thanks but Waverly continues to talk about it
at one point Waverly mentions how much she loves Nicole’s boobs and why she does
Waverly didn’t think she would be this into Nicole’s boobs but after being with her she understands why people like them
and most of the things she heard from others were true
like Waverly never understood why Champ like her boobs before but now she knows
Wynonna is like um pls I don’t want to hear about it
bc she doesn’t want to know the details about her sister’s sex life
or random things about Nicole
it was kinda funny bc Waverly was never like this with Champ
she was actually quite reserved about her sex life with him
anyways Wynonna finally got Waverly to stop and the next day she teases Wayhaught about it
and both of them blushed but Nicole blushes so hard bc now Wynonna knows a lot more than she should

another wayhaught fic
it's like marrow without bone (to live in a house with no home) Maybe God is God. Maybe the Devil is me. Well, I'll just throw my chains on. And tell myself that I'm free. - Delta Spirit, "Salt in the Wound"
“I just wanted to be free.”
Nicole knows that voice. It sends chills down her spine as quickly as it makes her blood boil. She knows that voice because she heard it before she got shot.
A WayHaught fic.
“I just wanted to be free.”
Nicole knows that voice. It sends chills down her spine as quickly as it makes her blood boil. She knows that voice because she heard it before she got shot .
(The first time. Not… not this time?
Huh.
Where’s Waverly? Wynonna?
Where is she ?)
“You’re in purgatory,” the voice tells her and she whirls around in a fury, brown eyes narrowing as she takes in the sight of Willa Earp. And then she takes a moment to take in their surroundings.
It’s the sheriff’s station. Lonnie’s desk is still a mess and Nedley’s office door is propped ajar. Her own desk still has two binders, a stack of case files, and a mountain of paperwork on it. The small AM/FM radio clock flashes like it might after a loss of power.
It’s the sheriff’s station and it’s empty. There’s no Nedley or Lonnie or Dov or Chris. There’s no Nash, either. There’s nobody but Nicole and Willa.
She feels it now. The stillness of the air and the heaviness in her chest that threatens to turn into something like panic. She closes her eyes and counts to twenty, inhaling for five and exhaling for five until she feels calmer. When she opens her eyes, she hopes to see Wynonna and Waverly staring at her like she’s lost her mind; it’d be better than the reality, which is cracking an eye open to see Willa staring at her with an aura of impatience and maybe something like resentment.
“You aren’t dead. Yet,” she says. It’s so blasé, the way those words come out of her mouth and the sigh that follows.
Nicole pales and shakes her head. Shakes away the unnerving feeling settling in the pit of her stomach.
“Where are we?” she asks.
Willa rolls her eyes. “I already told you. We’re in purgatory. You know, that annoying place between Down There and Upstairs.”
“Purgatory,” Nicole says again. It isn’t a question this time because she remembers now. Being shot. Again.
Charles Gagnon had marched into the station and pulled a gun on the room, demanding his brother be released from their custody. Henri Gagnon had been arrested the previous night, swerving down Main Street drunker than Wynonna after a shit day. The damned hoser had sideswiped Nicole’s cruiser while she was responding to a 10-71 of suspicious activity at the bank across from Shorty’s. His saving grace was that she hadn’t been in the vehicle when he took off a layer of paint and her side mirror. His downfall was that he panicked, stopped his own car, and tried to make a run for it.
He was caught, of course. She’d marched him down the block to the station, tossed him into the drunk tank, suspended his license, and wrote him a fine. The rest of the night was procedural — dealing with his car and her cruiser, the headache of paperwork that such an incident incurred, and trying not to fall asleep during the last hour of the graveyard shift while she sat at her desk handling said paperwork. Especially since she had to turn around and come back to work that afternoon.
Such is the life of a sheriff’s deputy.
But getting shot — again? That is a hazard of living in Purgatory where just about everybody owns a gun or has access to one. Not to mention the crazies and the supernatural.
Charles Gagnon fell into the former category. A little off his rocker with a short fuse and serious co-dependency issues with his brother. When he began waving the gun around, it was Nicole who stepped forward with her hands raised and her movements as unthreatening as she could make them. She walked slowly towards him, putting herself between Waverly and the madman.
“Let’s just talk this out, Charles,” she had said gently.
She tried to follow the handbook and her police academy training. They’d roleplayed scenarios with gunmen and hostages. And after the situation last year with Wynonna, Shorty, and Champ, she had attended a two-day seminar in the big city with a TAC team. Except none of those things prepared her when he pulled the trigger anyways.
She remembers pushing Waverly to the ground and Wynonna drawing Peacemaker. She remembers falling and another gunshot and then Waverly shouted her name. But then…
Oh.
She fell. The floor was cold and it felt so nice because her shoulder was burning and aching. And then Waverly was there, her Waverly, scrambling to lean over her. Her hands went to Nicole’s shoulder and she pressed. Hard. Nicole screamed. And then…
Then she was here. With Willa freakin’ Earp.
“And she remembers.”
Nicole scowls. “Do you have to be such an asshole? I’m apparently dying and I don’t even know if Waverly and Wynonna are okay!”
Willa’s face softens at the names of her sisters. “They’re fine,” she tells Nicole. “They’re both fine. Wynonna shot the guy who shot you.”
Despite everything that happened following Willa’s return, despite having every reason not to trust her, Nicole believes her. It’s a reassurance that she needs to hear, and it allows her room to consider her current situation more clearly.
“I’m dying,” she murmurs. It’s barely audible but it feels so incredibly loud. Those words. “I’m dying.”
“You’re not dead, yet,” Willa reminds her, gentler this time.
Nicole’s eyes widen.
“I can go back?”
She begins to scan the room, looking for any bright gateway or swirl of lights so she can steadfastly spring in the exact opposite direction. Willa must recognize what she’s doing by her darting eyes.
There’s a sigh and a shake of her head. “It isn’t a choice. This isn’t like on television. It’s out of our control.”
“Is that why you’re still here?”
Nicole blinks and suddenly they’re standing in the Pine Barrens near Purgatory. There’s a heavy layer of snow on the ground and it continues to fall with flurries dusting the evergreens and the branches of the trees that dropped their leaves long ago. It’s quiet and beautiful.
She can’t feel the cold or the wind that rustles the branches and sends them swaying just barely.
“This is my purgatory,” Willa says. “I’ve been here since I crossed the border, since Wynonna…” She trails off, never completing the sentence.
Since Wynonna shot her. Since her sister shot her. Since she made the most foolish mistake of her life. Since she lost everything.
“I just wanted to be free,” she says again, even softer this time.
Nicole recognizes the weight in her voice. Has heard it in her own voice so many times throughout her life. It’s the heaviness of regret, of exhaustion, of sadness, and of defeat. It’s the pull of so many, I’m sorry’s that can never be enough to do what’s been undone.
“Free from Daddy, from the Earp curse, from that godforsaken town. From remembering what I had and what I had lost. Free from having to be anybody but Willa. I just wanted to be free.”
It’s a desperate explanation. It isn’t an apology or imploring for forgiveness. It’s the story of a young girl who had to grow up too fast and be too much too soon, who found pain and darkness in every corner of her world.
Nicole knows something about that. It’s a tale with which she’s very familiar. She isn’t sure she ever really knew what light was until she met Waverly and fell in with Wynonna and got to know Nedley and the rest of the town. Until she found a place that felt like home and people she could call family.
But Willa— Willa never got that chance. To really get free from the machinations of souls older than both of them combined. To find her own light somewhere out there.
She looks at Willa out here, a bright spot of life, morose as she may be, in this vast wilderness and unending white only speckled with forest green and ash gray tree trunks and limbs. And when she blinks again, they’re back in the empty cop shop.
“I wish you’d had the chance to be free without being such a shithead,” Nicole finally says. It isn’t forgiveness but it is understanding and maybe a tinge of sympathy.
Willa laughs. It’s rough and sharp and sounds like it hurts her as much as it disquiets Nicole. “Yeah,” she says. “Except I didn’t have the chance and now I’m here. Waiting for the Universe to decide where I belong or if I’ll never belong anywhere except purgatory.”
“I don’t think anybody belongs nowhere,” Nicole offers, though the optimism sounds uncertain even to her own ears.
Willa shakes her head. “No, it’s okay. I have to pay for my sins somehow, right?”
The sadness is clearer now. The despair and defeat that clings to the once heir. It holds tight to her, suffocating like a python’s constriction; each gasp for air brings you a little bit closer to death.
“I’m sorry it wasn’t different.” Nicole means these words.
“Me too.”
It isn’t absolution but it’s something. The grip of sadness loosens just slightly.
There’s a buzz beneath Nicole’s skin. Like the tingling of a limb falling asleep when you sit or sleep funny.
“Do you feel that?” she asks Willa.
And Willa looks at her and cants her head to one side. It’s a Waverly-sort of mannerism, and Nicole feels a sharp tug at her heart.
“The tingling and that chest pain?” she clarifies when Willa doesn’t respond.
The hum of her body grows and grows and it’s starting to become really uncomfortable. It feels kind of like what she imagines being lit on fire might feel like.
“They’re saving you,” Willa finally tells her. “The Universe. My sisters.”
“I’m… I’m not going to die?”
Nicole’s jaw tenses with another lance through her chest.
“You’re not going to die.”
Willa’s voice begins to fade, sounding distant against the blood roaring in her ears. The edges of her vision start to go black as the pain increases exponentially. She hears Willa speak to her one more time and she strains to listen as she squeezes her eyes tight and feels herself begin to fall over.
“Look after them, okay? Tell them that I love them. Both of them.”
And then she wakes up with a jolt, her eyes snapping open to meet the most beautiful hazel eyes she’s ever known.
“Waverly,” she breathes. And it hurts. It hurts and she’s alive.
There’s a steady beeping of machines next to her and her left arm is slinged. Her head is fuzzy and all the lights are soft but she’s alive and Waverly is safe and so is Wynonna and Willa is marginally less awful than she’d thought before she got shot. Again.
“Nicole. You’re awake,” Waverly whispers with a bright smile and tears in her eyes.
“I’m here, Waves,” she says and she can hear her words slur, loosened by whatever drugs they’re pumping through her veins. “I’m alive.”
“You almost died, Nicole. Again. Again! You’re like a cat with nine lives, I swear, Officer Haught.” She pushes from her chair next to Nicole’s bed and paces the length of the small room. She’s exasperated and Nicole can tell she’s a little angry, the emotion warring with the elation that Nicole is awake and alive.
Alive and awake.
“I saw Willa,” she mumbles. “In purgatory. That’s where I went when I was waiting to live or die.”
Waverly slumps back into her seat and reaches for the hand of her not shot-up arm. “What are you talking about, baby?”
She feels the medication even more saliently now. She has to fight against it, the fog that wants to cloud her brain and pull her back under. Part of her is afraid she won’t wake up again.
(It’s going to be a thing, isn’t it?)
What she tries to say is this: “I saw Willa in purgatory. The real limbo, between heaven and hell kind of purgatory. She said she just wanted to be free and I kind of understand that. She wants you to know that she loves you, both you and Wynonna. And she asked me to look after you guys.”
It doesn’t come out that clear and concise but Waverly’s smart and Waverly knows her girlfriend and Waverly knows how to piece together drunken, slurred speech like nobody else. She gets the message and her eyes tear up even more than before.
“She said that?” she asks and the question is so, so soft and scared and hopeful.
Nicole’s head dips in a nod. “She said that.”
Waverly wipes at her eyes and laughs a sad but happy laugh. The words are a lifetime too late but they do mean something. They do begin to patch the hole in her heart that’s been torn through with so much grief and trauma and loss. She laughs again.
“She’s still the worst,” Waverly grumbles.
“Totally the worst.”
Waverly holds tight to Nicole. It’s enough of an anchor and a promise that it feels okay to drift away for just a short while. She’s got Waverly to tether her down so she can float away to dreamland and not fly too far away.
Nicole dreams of falling snow and the smell of evergreens and feels the warmth of a crackling fire in a hearth. She dreams of three little girls with smiles on their faces as they run happy and free.

Heyo, would you mind giving a summary of what the hell is Wynonna Earp about (and its plot)? I've checked the trailer and tried to read-up on characters on their wiki, but it really gets so confusing when you dont have the full context (and omg *so many* characters!!). I really love what I've seen of Bobo Del Rey from your blog and I'd really dig some info about that guy (I dont have the time to binge the show due to exams)
Okay, here’s the gist:
Over 100 years before the pilot episode Wyatt Earp was cursed by a demon sheriff that he put down so that when he died, everyone that he killed during his time as a gunslinger would resurrect as demons (Revenants, they’re called) and they would come after his decedents until an Earp Heir was able to kill all 77 of these Revenants with Peacemaker (the gun Wyatt carried) and send them back to hell. Each generation when the oldest kid turned 27 they became the Heir and all the Revenants killed by the generation before would resurrect and it’d start over again (until all of them were killed, which obviously hasn’t happened yet). Oh, also, the Revenants are stuck within the Ghost River Triangle, which includes the town of Purgatory.
For the main cast you have (and I’m going to keep this as spoiler free as possible):
Wynonna Earp - Wyatt’s great-great granddaughter. She had a super traumatic childhood in which kind of screwed her up, she left Purgatory, but comes back on her 27th birthday and ends up staying to fight the Revenants
Waverly Earp - Wynonna’s younger sister, Earp history fan, and all around adorable little angel. While they were sort of raised together, Wynonna hasn’t been around for a while by the time the pilot happens and we get to see these two come to terms with a lot and have some awesome sisterly bonding.
Xavier Dolls - Deputy Marshal of a joint US-Canadian task force under the Black Badge Division. Technically Wynonna’s boss, definitely gets closer over time. He definitely has a few secrets of his own.
Doc Holliday - Yes the Doc Holliday. Gunslinger and best friend to Wyatt Earp climbs out of a well that a witch threw him down in the pilot episode and he’s kind of immortal. Kind of. It’s complicated.
Nicole Haught - Deputy Sheriff who transfers in from the ‘Big City’ in the pilot. Poor girl knows something weird is happening in the town but no one seems to want to explain it to her for the longest time. Love interest for Waverly. Also a really awesome/funny drunk and we need to see more of Drunk!Nicole in S3!!!
Jeremy Chetri - Jeremy doesn’t come in until S2 but he’s utterly adorable. He’s a scientist for the BBD and just can’t stop talking sometimes. Usually when he really needs/should want to.
Bobo Del Rey - My personal favourite. He’s our main villain for S1. Lots of snark involved, lots of banter. He gives Wynonna all kinds of hell, but we’ve gotten a lot more information about him as the story’s gone on that shows a very complicated past with Wyatt Earp (and the Earp family on whole) and that Bobo’s loyalties may not be quite as straight forward as you think in early S1. I have my fingers crossed for a redemption arc in S3.
If you want spoilers about Bobo, let me know. I just don’t want to give them without knowing for sure. :)

she's the cop this time
*Nicole's pov*
I had just moved to purgatory, and started working at the only bar in town Shorties. I didn't really know anyone yet, or where to eat so I came in to get a burger and so fries, and maybe a drink... or to.
I walked in to the familiar bar glad I wasn't at working, it was packed.
As soon as I walked in I was greted by Gus.
"What are you doing here sweetheart? You don't work today."
"Yeah I came for a bite and a drink."
"Oh well you can sit here." She said as she handed me a menu.
I sat down looked over the menu and ordered when she came back. I looked around seeing if there was anyone I could possibly remember. Nope no one her besides Wynonna.
Wynonna was friendly once she got to know me better. I knew a few about her she worked at the police station doing something, wasn't quite sure what. I also know she had a sister Waverly Earp, and I knew a lot about the younger Earp maybe to much considering I never met her. She's a cop, popular a round here, and also straight.
One night when I was serving Wynonna she said something about a break up and a champ hardy someone and how he broke her heart.
I had seen her around a few times, and... well wow she looked amazing in her uniform and well in normal closes she looked even better.
Gus set the food down on the table and then Wynonna walked over sitting across from me.
"Sup, Haughtstuff." She drunkenly slurred as she stole a French fry.
"Hey, nothing you?"
"Oh yano, Wave coming to get a drink then take me home, cuz I'ma lil drunk."
"As in Waverly? And sure just a little."
"Yeah Waverly is wave and wave is Waverly." She said really slurred and confused.
"Oh you will finally meat her!" Wynonna said really happily.
"Yeah can't wait." I said in a laugh. I suddenly realized that I'd meat her oh god will she like me?
"You think she'll like me?"
"Yeah, don't worry the uniform is intimidating but she's nice. You'll love her and she will love you to." Wynonna said tripping over her words.
After a few minutes of me eating and finishing my food, a short Burnett in a cops uniform walked in looking amazing the uniform showed off her curves, and the way her hair was braided with a white hat sitting on her head was adorable.
"Is that her?" I asked Accent thick in a high-pitched voice.
"Yup, now close your gay moth before you catch flies, and while your at it turn the accent down a little, cow girl." Wynonna said catching me starting.
"Waverly!" Wynonna said getting her sisters attention. She turned around and walked towards us. My mouth went dry then filled with saliva I swallowed and took a drink of my beer.
"Can I sit?" She asked looking me in the eyes.
I smiled what people called my trade mark dimples smile and shook my head giving permission.
"Waverly this is Haughtstuff. Haughtstuff Waverly."
I gave Wynonna a look noticing Waverly confused face, and extended my hand for her to take.
"I'm Nicole... Nicole Haught."
"Nice to meat you Nicole I'm Waverly Earp." She replied shaking my hand probably longer than we should have.
"Quite a popular girl around here."
"Yeah... all in the smile and wave." She said demonstrating.
"I bet being a cop helps with that." God my accent is really thick.
"It dose, that's for sure."
Wynonna looked at me and Waverly gave her a confused look.
"What?"
"Nothing Haughty-McHaugh-pants-for-my-sister"
Waverly looked at me blushing a little and gave me the cutest smile I have ever seen in my hole life.
I smiled back at her feeling my face turn as red as my hair.
"See what I mean Wave. Look at the face, she is flashin' her dimples, has the heart eyes, is turning the color of her hair, and I have never heard her accent so thick it's practically dripping with southern charm."
Waverly looked at me again smiling blushing more than before.
"Ok, first I'm not flashing my dimples it happens when I smile, can't do it on purpose, ok well maybe if I tried, but I'm not. Second, what are heart eyes? Third, yes I'm the color of my hair I can feel it. Fourth, the accent does what it wants when it wants, but it probably doesn't help when I see somethin' I want, but otherwise... I can't control it."
Now Waverly was probably the color of my hair same as me, Wynonna's face showed the expression of shock.
I looked at Waverly who was blushing, and smiling a smile so big and bright that you could confuse it for the sun.
"Wave, Wave, Waverly!" Wynonna said in what was supposed to be a whisper, tugging at her sisters arm.
"What Nona?" Waverly said in a supposed to be whisper, still better than her sister that's for sure.
"Haught likes you. What are you gonna do? You should go out with her she's real nice, and gay so you have a chance, plus she said she wants you Waverly do it!"
I face planted. Oh god.
"Nonna she is right there, and you are really bad at whispering. And yes she seems nice, but"
Oh god here it comes the excuse to not go out with me, I've heard a lot of them. Red heads are wild, the accent isn't for me, southern are stupid, she isn't my type, eww no I'm straight, I'm in a relationship, to Butch, I don't like dykes, and trust me the list Goss on.
"She didn't ask me out, and besides Wynonna how do you know she is gay are you sure? also I just met her today." Waverly said with hope in voice.
I moved my hand from my face and took a big sip of my beer, well Waverly didn't say no, or reject me so, that's good. No amazing.
"Well she called my ass top shelf." Waverly laughed and smacked Wynonna's arm.
"And besides it's obvious, but she could be straight hell if I know ask her."
Wynonna said and my heart rate increases a lot when Waverly looked at me.
"Well... Haughtstuff you gonna come out or not."
"Whatever Wyn, and yeah I'm lesbian."
"Fucking called it didn't I tell you fucking called it yes... Oh and good for you Haught full support and all that shit... gonna get a drink."
Wynonna said climbing over Waverly Awkwardly.
"Could have asked me to move!"
Waverly looked at me slightly blushing.
"Soo..." I said trying to same myself from embarrassment all thought I don't think I could get any more embarrassed.
"Good for you, for coming out and all that. Full support no judgement, and if I'm, umm..." she said looking around to see if anyone was listening.
"Honest I might be gay and ummm.... yeah your the only one to know please don't tell Wynonna." She said very quickly avoiding all eye contact.
"Waverly" I said putting my hands over here to try to comfort her. "I won't tell anyone secrets safe with me, and if you are gay or straight or Bi... Whatever you are I'm ok with it for what it's worth."
"Thanks... means more than you think."
"No problem."
I said pulling my hands away, but Waverly stoped me.
"But, umm how do you know for sure."
"Well you have been with champ or whatever Wynonna said, and he is a boy, and if you also like girls you could be Bisexual, or pansexual. If you only like boys you are straight, and if you like girls and only girls you are a lesbian."
Waverly shook her head in agreement taking in all the information.
"What if... I don't know I kinda like this girl I think but I don't know her that well, and I have these feelings I've had for no one else when I see her or when I'm with her."
"Well, you don't have to put a label on yourself you like this girl then you like this girl."
"Thanks helps a lot" she said with a soft smile.
"So... I haven't seen you around town that much, before you just move in?"
"Yeah, I'm still unpacking." I said with a laugh.
"Cool, where do you work, or are you still applying?"
"I work here actually, yeah Gus was really nice haired me on the spot."
"Nice, yeah Gus is really nice best aunt I have. Why aren't you working then or is your day off?"
"Day off."
"Nice."
"Yeah." I said as Wynonna pushed Waverly over to the other side of the seat making are hands lose contact.
"We should probably go Wave."
"Yeah, nice to meat you Nicole." She said sliding out of the seat.
"Nice to meat you to Waverly. Bye Wynonna."
"Bye Haught." She said as Waverly caught her from falling.
"You need some help?"
"No. I'm good thanks though. I've mastered this over the years I do it more than I should have to!" Waverly said with a laugh earning a look from Wynonna.
"Ok." I replied. They walked out and left me confused. Does she like me?
*A few weeks later*
I got to work and started to clean the taps, when one of them sprayed all over me. I screamed I wasn't scared just startled.
Ok fine I was scared.
"Jesus... perfect."
"I didn't know Shorties had wet t-shirt competitions and I've been here all my life." Waverly said leaning against the door way.
"Are you ok?"
"Yeah, just a bit jumpy had a crazy night."
"Hopefully not involving Wynonna, and I'm sorry I missed it."
"Nope haven't seen her today."
"Probably for the best." She said sitting down
"Yeah... She is my friend, but she is wild I'll say that much."
"That's an understatement, but ok."
I laughed god she is funny to.
"Do you mind turning around." I asked Motioning for her to cover her eyes or something.
"Oh yeah sure." She said turning around same as I did.
I pulled the shirt over my body, but then it got stuck.
"Shit, officer I mean Waverly can you help me?"
"Oh, yeah I've got you." She said and leaned down so she could pull it over my head.
"Thanks" I said taking the shirt from her covering my chest.
"N-no problem." Waverly said realising that there was tension no sexual tension between us.
"I-umm-I owe you one."
"Alright, well how about you come over for a date sense you never got to ask me out."
"Yes... Yeah sure."
"Good. I'll pick you up after my shift, text me your address." She said handing me her card.
"Ok. Can't wait!"
"Me either... Oh, and Nicole Wynonna's right your accent is really thick when your around me." She said over pronouncing thick seductively walking towards the door hat in her hand.
"Good thing, I think it's sexy." She said walking out putting her hat on.
"Yeah, no kidding. Haven't talked like this in years." I replied even though I knew she couldn't hear me. God she thought my accent is sexy though as relief washed over me.
*later that night*
I just finished getting ready, when someone knocked on my door. Probably Waverly.
"Hey!" I said as I saw Waverly standings on my porch, smiling, and in her her uniform.
"Hi! You look... amazing. Sorry I didn't get a chance to change I will once we get to the homestead." She said looking over my body.
"Wave don't worry you look amazing uniform or not." Wave sounded good rolled right off my tongue, I could get use to that.
"Thanks, but I still despise these khakis."
"Ok, but I happen to like them."
"Sure, whatever you say. Come on." She said as she grabbed my hand walking me to her cruiser.
"Thanks officer Earp." I said as she opened the door for me.
"No problem Miss Haught."
Once we reached the homestead, she ran upstairs to change out of the dreadful khakis as she said, also telling me to make myself at home.
I walked in the kitchen to find Wynonna making food.
"Hey!" I said sitting down at the table.
"Shit Haught! You fucking scared the shit out of me! Wait, why are you hear? Waverly made me make food for her.... date.... tonight?"
She replied and I smiled at how thoughtful Waverly was.
"No! No! She didn't. Well shit don't think she had the Balls for it, well I'll be Damned."
"Wynonna she is a cop. I think if she is a cop she could at least get the Balls to ask me out and she did."
"And I was think I'd have to break the news to you and tell you not to make a move cause she found some dude."
"Surprise!" I said sarcastically.
"Yano haven't heard you with out the accent for quite a while good to know you didn't go full on southern on me. It was really starting to freak me out."
"Why? You don't like the accent?" I said full blown southern.
"God no please stop. I think I might have nightmares."
"Well, Waverly said it was sexy so I think I might do it on purpose, Not that I need to around her."
"Yep, definitely having nightmares tonight. Foods ready, gotta meat dolls. Peace, and umm... don't Fuck my sister tonight or ever... especially not in my house."
"No promises."
"Waverly control... your... umm Nicole!" Wynonna yelled upstairs, Waverly walked down in a black skirt and a pink shirt which exposed her cleavage. Her hair was out of the braid it was long and wavy so Waverly. I thought to myself.
"Why? Wait never mind I don't need an excuse to control her."
"Oh god Waverly keep it pg, Jesus, and I said this to Haught so I will say it to you, no Fucking my best friend tonight, or ever... especially not in my house, and don't let her Fuck you. No sex in my house."
"Wynonna you have had so much sex in this house-"
"Shut it, anyway got to go see you tomorrow maybe. Have fun having the house to yourself... actually no don't." Wynonna said walking out, and closing the door.
"Sorry she is a pain in the ass."
"No, it's fine, really I think it's nice that she cares so much about you... I'm glad you have someone like that."
"God now that I hear it you sound totally different around me. Full blown southern. And I'm glad I have her to."
"Yeah good thing you like it." I said with a laugh.
"Mhh."
"I know right? I haven't talked like this in years... it's so weird to hear myself. It's so creepy."
"Now... remember what I said sexy not creepy."
"How could I forget."
"Can you get the plates on the top shelf... I can't reach."
"Sure. Whatever Shortie."
"Hey! Your not that much taller! And besides you work there not me."
"But, yet I need to reach the plates."
"Ok fine maybe I'm a little short."
"A little?"
"I will arrest you the next chance I get of you say another thing about how short I am, you tall person!" She said in a laugh.
"I'm not sure I'd mind that officer, but ok."
"Me either." She said as I handed her the plates, fingers brushing over each other for longer than they should, not that I mind. She looked me in the eyes with, her own but they were different pupils dilated, full of lust and want?
"Umm, so I'll get the food you sit down." She said looking away.
"Ok." I said sitting down, looking around the kitchen admiring the room.
"Are you ok?" I asked, why did she look away like that was something wrong, did I do something wrong?
"Yeah, I'm good. Thanks for asking. You?"
"Same." I smiled as she handed me, my plate.
"Thank you, it looks great."
"It dose, but Wynonna made it so I don't know if it's actually edible."
We talked, and got to know each other as we eat the actually decent food. We each had a glass of wine so not to much to get drunk but buzzed yes.
*Warning smut ahead*
"I really like you." Waverly said confessing her true feelings for me.
"Oh, I like you to."
Waverly moved closer making a show of it with her hips.
"Good." She said kissing me hard on the mouth.
I returned the kiss as she backed me in to the wall slamming me hard against it.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to hurt you." She said smiling softly.
"It's ok, don't worry."
"God your accent is such a fucking turn on. So Haught, makes me so wet."
Waverly moaned seductively in my ear.
"Jesus wave!"
I said before she shut me up with another kiss. Our mouths fit perfectly together, it was like it was meant to be.
I traced my tongue over her bottom lip teeth grazing over it softly. Waverly moaned and tangled her hands in my short red hair at the back of my neck.
Waverly pinned me the wall before we slid down to the floor Waverly now straddling me. After she did that our kisses were more sloppy and she started to use tongue as did I.
She thrusted her hips hard in to me causing me to whimper, but not in pain.
"Shit, sorry I don't really know how to do this..."
"Wave, it's ok really I liked it no one's ever done that to me. And, just do what feels right... I know that probably doesn't help, but just treat this like you would normally... just different."
"Ok... it's just I don't know how to be with a girl."
"Baby..." I said putting my forehead to rest on hers, and relaxed when she smiled at the pet name.
"You do what you want to no pressure tell me to stop if you want or need to... for the girl part I'm glad you are asking questions it's really important to me, and well instead of a yano we have fingers, and tongues."
I said liking up her neck. She shivered at the contact, and rested her head on my shoulder.
"Oh, and I forgot lips." I said as she connected our lips in a slow meaningful kiss.
"Thank you, Nicole."
"No problem it's what I'm here to do if you want me here." I said with a smile.
"I really do."
"Good." She kissed me again her lips are like no other.
"Upstairs." She said standing up kicking of her Boots and socks as I did the same.
I followed her upstairs... and in to her bed room.
"Your room is nice." I said admiring the room full of everything you could think Waverly Earp would put in there.
"Thank you, but I'd rather have you focus yourself on something else."
"Mhh what could that be?" I asked as she pulled me closer.
"Me... and Nicole you are a Dork."
"Just as much as you are."
"Ok, not what I meant by attention."
"I know... I was only teasing."
I said as she kissed me and pulled me closer by the collar of my shirt. She pushed me on the bed and straddling me once again. She started un-buttoning my shirt exposing my bra and front from the waste up.
"God you have abbs?"
"I guess..."
"That's Haught."
She said before kissing me, and slowly she started to grind in to me at a steady pace. I moved my hands from the dip in her back to her hips pushing her closer to me gently.
I slowly started to move my hands up under her shirt leaving Goosebumps behind them. She pulled away so I could take off her shirt pulling to over her head.
"You are one to be surprised Waverly you are ripped."
"Yeah... kind comes with being a cop."
"Should have seen it coming then."
"Oh, there are a lot of things you haven't seen yet..."
We kissed for a few more minutes them becoming more heated as we ran our hands over each other's skin.
I flipped Waverly over on her back so I was on top of her.
"Bartender has guts." She said.
"I'm more than a bartender, and yes I have guts to a certain extent."
"Sure." Waverly said teasing me.
"Fine I'll prove I have guts what do you want me to do. I'll prove it." I said gently kissing down her neck to her and collarbone.
"Fuck me." Waverly said surprising me a little... ok a lot.
"I was going to do that anyway, but ok."
I say before I started to suck her pulse point.
"That's more like it." Waverly said in a low seductive tone.
I slowly moved my hands down to her skirt tracing the out line of fabric with my fingers on her skin. I stopped before leaving a hicky.
"Can I?"
"God yes.... Nicole please." She begged.
I unbuttoned her skirt pulling it off leaving her in her bra and underwear. I kissed her again, slowly, and reached behind her to take off her bra. When I un clipped it she pulled it off, and took my face between her hands kissing me hard again.
I kissed down her neck, collarbone, and finally her Breasts. I kissed the skin and she moaned... traced my tongue over it and she squirmed at the touch. I looked up and her and she shook her head in approval, before I took her nipple in my mouth circling my tongue over the bud. She moaned loudly and clutched the sheets.
I worked my way down after giving the other Brest the same treatment, earning an equal reaction from her. God if she gets worked up this much she has no Idea what's coming well maybe she knows.... it's her.
She moved her hands down to my pants and took un did my belt before the Button and zipper. She slid my pants down my legs admiring me. I kicked my pants off and she continued staring at me... not that I mind.
"You ok?" I asked getting her attention.
"More than ok. You?" She replied tearing her eyes away.
"Same."
"Can... I umm..."
"What is it wave? Just ask."
"I want to take off your bra."
"Then take it off, but I really love that you asked. Ok?"
"Ok." She said taking a deep breath. She reached behind me, and struggled to un do it but when she did it she smiled, like she won.
She carefully slid the straps down my arms like she was scared. Shit she is scared?
"Relax it's ok."
"I know I just can't help, but feel a little nervous."
"That's perfectly fine... we can stop if you want."
"What about you?"
"I only want this if you do."
"I do." She said taking my bra off. She stared at my chest like it was a unicorn or something in aww.
"What do I do now?"
"What you want to, ok baby steps."
I said and she started to kiss my neck down to my collarbone, and then she took my nipple in her mouth same as I did to her.
I moaned, and gasped as the fire in me grew lager.
"God... Wave your so good."
"Glad to be of services." She said before she kissed me again.
"What do you want." I asked knowing she needed something.
"I want... you to use your fingers."
I slid my hand down her stomach, and to her thigh.
"Are you sure?"
"Nicole, please."
I moved my hand to slip her underwear off and she moved her legs open to help. She hummed in response. I moved my finger across her entrance watching her face for reaction. She closed her eyes, arched her back, and put her hand over her mouth to muffle the loud moan escaping her mouth and failing terribly.
I continued my work with my middle finger, and pushed her clit lightly with my thumb. I started to circle, it lightly, and she bucked her hips up in anticipation, and want.
"Oh baby, that feels so amazing." She said opening her eyes looking at me. I looked at her, almost as to ask if I could put my finger in to her. She shook her head in agreement. I slowly started to enter my finger and she cried out bucking her hips up squeezing her eyes shut.
"Ok?"
"Y-yes."
I pushed in further and she grabbed my hips to steady herself. She moaned and gasped simultaneously, as I pushed another finger in. I curled them inside her searching to find the spot that should make her come un done.
"Nicole!" She moan-screamed. I found it with my first try and even if it wasn't the spot her reaction was as if I found it because it probably felt that way to her.
I moved lower and she figured out what I was doing because she moved her legs and bent her knees. I pulled her legs over my shoulder and she moaned at the movement. I kissed the inside of her thighs moving closer each time until liking down her thigh to finally take her throbbing clit between my lips.
I sucked on it gently, and soon started to use my tongue. Waverly gasped, and purred my name. She bucked her hips involuntarily, and I liked the length of her wetness tasting her on my tongue and moaning shortly after, God she tastes so good.
I pushed my tongue in to her as deep as a could. She came shortly after and I helped her through her orgasm. She pulled me up and kissed me slowly tasting herself on my lips.
"Fuck, that was amazing! Oh god your so good at that! Best sex I've ever had in my life, it's so much better with you than anyone! Also, how was it for you?"
"Also, amazing, and I'm glad it's the best sex you've ever had." I laughed kissing her forehead.
"But, I didn't do anything? And me to." She asked obviously confused.
"You being pleased is enough, and knowing that you liked what I did is amazing."
"I didn't like it I loved it." She said kissing me lightly on the lips.
"Good." I said with a laugh.
"Can I do something to you. I mean for you. Ok, no it's both."
"Yes. What do you want to do? Remember you don't have to do anything you don't want to."
"I want to taste you."
"Ok. What are you questions?"
"How? And, what do I do?" She asked, and I answered. Soon enough she took off my boy shorts, and kissed me again. She moved her hands and motioned for me to bend my legs. I did as she told me, and she lowered herself in to 'potion', and looked at me with lust filled eyes and shook my head allowing her permission.
She kissed my thigh, and moved her hair out of her face before pressing her tongue down flat on my wetness.
"Waverly!" I moaned as she continued with her tongue. God, she was a natural. Jesus I've never felt anything like this.
She pushed her tongue inside me taking me by surprise. I gasped, and her grip on my thighs tightened as to reassure me.
"You're a... natural" I said trying to form the sentence which was almost impossible.
She moved her tongue to my clit taking it between her lips sucking on it lightly. That pushed me over the edge. I grabbed on the sheets, knuckles turning white, back arching, and very loud moans.
She Laid next to me breathing equally heavily as before. I turned over on my side and she kissed me.
"God you taste amazing!"
"So do you!" I replied with a smirk.
"Was it good?"
"More than good! God wave it was amazing, I've never felt that way before at all."
"Me either." She said resting her head on my shoulder. I pulled her closer, and in minutes our Bodies were intertwined, and we were asleep!

Facing Storms
Anyway here's some WayHaught fluff for anyone whose heart is still hurting from 2x08. Also available here on my AO3 Profile: http://archiveofourown.org/works/11644608
It wasn't a night that was in any way particularly special. The clouds were dark and all day the threat of rain or even a thunderstorm had been hanging in the air. Nicole was off work early that day, and Waverly had been quick to invite her over to the homestead for the night. She hated sleeping alone anymore, especially during a storm. She hadn't really needed to specify that the auburn haired woman would be staying over, because as of late Nicole would normally arrive, the two would cook something together, and they'd curl up on the couch or in her room watching movies and old TV shows until they fell asleep. Rarely, they would make it long enough to change into proper pajamas, but most times, they would fall asleep in whatever they had on, and then would wake the next day laughing at the uncomfortable way their typical clothes had constricted them in their sleep. Of course, Nicole immediately responded and agreed to the offer, so Waverly took some precautionary measures. She pulled off her skirt and blouse in favor of a pair of leggings and an old t-shirt that she was pretty sure had come from Nicole's house. All of her clothes now shared the smell of the red head's apartment, a comforting factor when she was faced with spending nights alone. The officer arrived not long after, and Waverly was quick to open the door before Wynonna could get to it. "Hi," Nicole's face instantly lit up in a grin as she greeted the shorter brunette, pulling her in for a quick kiss. Waverly melted into her touch, wrapping her arms around her. "Hi," she echoed the taller woman and mirrored her smile, taking her hand and leading her inside. Seeing past her girlfriend's smile and noticing the heavy bags of exhaustion under Nicole's eyes, Waverly settled for the living room, deciding not to make the officer climb two flights of stairs to reach her bedroom, especially considering she would have to walk back down them and up again if she was hungry or needed something downstairs. "Long day?' she asked knowingly, flipping on the living room TV and clicking on her Netflix profile that was full of documentaries, horror movies, and the occasional cop show. Not because Nicole enjoyed them, but rather because it was funny to watch her critique the officers on screen about what they were doing wrong and how if they had been in her class they wouldn't have passed the academy. "Yeah, there was a car accident and the driver at fault ended up with a broken leg," the ginger explained, letting her head fall into Waverly's lap, unable to hold back a relieved sigh as the shorter woman began threading her fingers between her fiery curls. "What about you? How was your day?" Waverly couldn't help but marvel at her girlfriend's question. Even after what was surely an exhausting day at an already stressful job, Nicole still cared and thought to ask about her own day. Wavery gave up comparing Nicole to Champ long ago, because there was simply no fair comparison. But, sometimes, there were moments like these, and she simply couldn't help it. Champ rarely ever asked her how she was doing, even if she was clearly annoyed or upset, and if he did, it was for his own benefit, not hers. And yet here Nicole was, beaten down and stressed, and still worried about everyone besides herself. "It was fine," she answered a bit too quickly after realizing she'd waited too long and the officer was looking up at her in concern. She rolled over and reached her hand up to cup Waverly's cheek. "Whatcha thinking about in that big brain of yours?" she asked with a small smile, and Waverly couldn't help but blush. "What's going on in that pretty little head of yours?" Nicole's question was so different from the way Champ asked. Waverly couldn't remember a time where he had ever complimented her intelligence. She wasn't stupid, she knew that, but she had never been called smart by anyone other than teachers and Gus. The first time Nicole commented on her brain, she hadn't even known how to react. Now that Waverly really thought about it, there were a lot of things that while completely different to the brunette seemed to be the same in Nicole and Champ's mind, though it was no question to what she preferred. Where Champ asked if she was "in the mood yet" and complained when she wasn't, Nicole still asked her for her absolute permission and consent, every single time. While Champ asked if she was up for going out drinking and laughed when she said no, Nicole asked what she wanted to do that night, agreeing no matter what it was. Champ questioned her infatuation with history when it didn't affect them anymore, but Nicole marveled at her passion and listened to every detail of why she cared. Every touch, every word, every kiss, they were all so different.
Sex with Champ was rough, over as quickly as possible, like it was a race to beat his best time. Most of the time she couldn't even enjoy it, and there were plenty of nights where she would lie next to him after he had finished, passed out and normally drunk, while she shivered and curled into her chest to keep warm. He wasn't one for intimacy and he teased her when she used extra blankets or asked for him to hold her. But sex with Nicole, god with her it lasted for hours, and that was just for herself. It went on into the earliest hours of the morning, and the officer did things to her body that she didn't think were possible. And when they did finish, she would wrap her arms around Waverly from behind, hold her close and bury the pair under a mountain of blankets. The brunette had grown accustomed to spending the nights alone and at first didn't know how to respond to the contact, but she had immediately melted into Nicole's touch and embrace. As Waverly flipped through random shows and movies on her continue watching list, she smiled down at the ginger, shrugging and shaking her head in dismissal. "Just thinking I guess," she explained. Nicole sat up and looked at her, not demanding an answer, rather asking if she wanted to talk. "Are you okay?" the question was simple enough, but it made Waverly's heart flutter in her chest. She opened her mouth to answer, but she was cut off by a loud clap of thunder from outside. Jumping, she immediately cowered into her girlfriend's side, whimpering and shaking as lightning flashed through the room. She almost expected laughter- Champ had always teased her for her fear of thunderstorms. The first time she experienced a storm she could remember was when she was five years old. Her parents had been in a fight earlier that day, and she was already scared enough by the screaming, so the thunder and the bright flashing only made it worse. It got to the point where she could no longer stand being alone, and she had made her way into Willa's bedroom. When she woke her sister and asked if she could sleep with her, she was only met with teasing laughter and sent away. She knew she couldn't this of her parents, so she hesitantly went to Wynonna, terrified that she too would turn her away. Instead, the 12 year old had welcomed her to her bed, and held her through the night as the storm raged on. And now, Nicole did the same, her arms immediately tightening around the smaller woman's waist as she pulled her close and soothed her, stroking her long fingers through Waverly's even longer brunette locks.
"I didn't know you were scared of thunderstorms," it was not mockery and it was not a joke- Nicole's voice was genuine concern and worry. The younger Earp shrugged, unsure of how to justify the fear.
"They've always scared me, ever since I was a kid. I guess I'm just a wimp. It's pretty stupid," she laughed softly, but the auburn haired woman shook her head. "That's not stupid. I'm glad you told me. Not everyone can admit their fears," Nicole reached out and cupped her cheek, and Waverly felt her heart melt in her chest. She couldn't stop herself from nuzzling into the touch and frankly she didn't try. The officer pulled her close as her fingers wove through long strands of Waverly's hair, and she pressed a kiss against her forehead. The first time she had been in a thunderstorm with Champ, she had whimpered at the sound and he had laughed at her, teased her, made her feel insignificant and small. But now, even with Nicole holding her so delicately that she may believe Waverly would break in her arms at any moment, she had never felt so complete, so whole, so content. She curled into her girlfriend's side, wrapping her arms around the taller woman's waist as she pulled a mountain of blankets over the pair. She pressed play on a documentary about sharks that the pair had watched enough times that Waverly could quote it, but it was still her favorite. As she lie still in Nicole's arms, thunder and lighting raged on outside with the storm, wind rattling the windows as heavy rain thudded hard against the roof. But, suddenly it didn't seem so scary anymore. No longer were the howling winds the source of her nightmares, nor was the rain enough to keep her up till the early hours of the morning. Now it was just a thunderstorm, nothing more. Willa, her parents, and especially Champ- They had all abandoned her when she needed them the most, but not Nicole. No, the fiery haired policewoman was there to stay, no matter what the world threw at them. They would run into obstacles, sure, but that didn't matter. They were a team. And as long Waverly had Nicole by her side, they could face any storm together.

Gone as a girl can get
Hey guys! What's up? How did you like episode 11 of Wynonna Earp? This is my version of the episode, not as funny as the actual one, but I hope you like it. P.S. I'm also thinking of writing a part 2 "Wynonna!" Waverly cried out desperately. As if hurting her sister's feelings hadn't been enough, now because of her Wynonna would disappear. This day was going from better in better... "Waves!" Jeremy yelled rushing through the doors of Shorty's and straight to his sister's side. "Are you okay?" He asked full of concern. He and Waverly were about the same age, they were orphans and the only Earp heirs remained, for their mother had left when they were four and five years old, whereas their father had died in an haunting accident. Of course, they weren't blood siblings, he'd been adopted when he was still a baby and he and Waverly grew up together and basically considered each other twins, since they were born only a couple of months apart. "Yeah." She answered matter-of-factly, not understanding why her brother looked so worried. "Hey, did you hear shrieking?" "Yeah... From your mouth, silly!" Oh, now that explains a lot of things! Waverly thought to herself, even though she was a little confused as to why she'd screamed like that if it had indeed been her. "Hey. Who's Wynonna?" Her brother brought her back to reality. "Huh." Good question. "I have no idea." And she really had no idea why she'd shouted the name of someone she didn't know. Or... Did she know her? There was something about that name... It sounded quite familiar on her lips... "Hey, we've got a wedding to plan." She told her brother after a moment. She had no time to waste trying to figure out who that woman was, she was getting married in two days. Jeremy looked almost as eager as she was about the preparations for his sister's big day. Not that he liked Champ, let's make it clear, but he'd given up trying to understand what Waverly found so special in that boy-man. "Okay. So... Stop number one: sheriff station. Nicole had a night shift and I think she could use some breakfast." "Let me guess, we're bringing her her favorite doughnuts along with a cup of coffee." He laughed at the face his sister made. He always found it amusing how much those girls spoiled each other. Nicole was a new sheriff deputy, well, at least, she was the last addition. She'd joined Nedley at the station only a year prior and she and Waverly had soon become best friends. Since he and his sister did almost everything together, it was no surprise that he too had a very close relationship with the cop, but sometimes he wondered if a friendship was really all there was between the two girls. "We? I was actually going to give you something else to do while I'm at the station." She burst out laughing when Jeremy groaned in disappointment. "Gotcha!" "Not cool, sis." "Okay. Okay, sorry. But, come on, did you actually believed I wasn't gonna let you come with me to the station so you could see your beloved Dolls?" "Waves! He's not my beloved! It's just a stupid crush..." Waverly laughed again at her brother's reddening cheeks. She picked up the cup of coffee and the box of doughnuts from behind the counter and together they left for the station. "Hey you!" Waverly greeted her friend cheerfully as soon as she'd entered the sheriff station. Jeremy was still outside talking to an old friend of his. "Waves! Hey!" Nicole smiled her brightest smile at the sight of her friend. She'd had an eternal night-shift and she still had two more hours before she could go home and get some rest. Nothing had happened all night long and she was sleepy and bored as hell, Waverly was definitely the best thing to have happened to her in the past eight hours. "Guess what I've got here!" The young Earp said while showing the other girl the white box she held high her hand. "No way. Doughnuts?!" "Only the best for my bestie." "Babe, you're my guardian angel." She said taking the box and the cup of coffee from Waverly's hands and putting them on her desk. "That sounded almost as sugary as those things are." "Hey Jeremy..." The redhead greeted as she took a bite from on the first doughnut. "Hey, Haught dog!" "Jeremy..." She groaned. She hated that stupid nickname he kept on giving her. "Can you please stop calling me that?" "Sorry, it fits you too well, miss puppy-eyes." He said gaining a hard glance from Nicole. "Excuse me?! I'm a sheriff deputy, I don't have puppy eyes! I'll have you know my eyes are very threatening in fact!" "Sure..." "Waverly? Can you please just back me up here?" "Sorry, babe. I'd like to, but it's really hard when you've got powdered sugar on your nose." As Waverly said that she had a strange feeling of déjà vu, like she'd already been in a similar situation before, but she couldn't quite remember when. Anyway, her words had gained a loud laughter from Jeremy and a exasperated groan from Nicole. She couldn't help but join in on her brother's giggles. "I hate you both." The redhead said trying to put on her best offended face as her friends kept on laughing. "No, you don't." Jeremy finally regained control of himself. "Of course she doesn't, 'cause we're adorable!" Nicole was trying to find something to say to comment on that last statement, but she was interrupted by a voice coming from the hallway. "Officer Haught?" It was Dolls, her... Well, Nicole wasn't exactly sure how to define him. He work for a secret division called Black Badge and had his office there at the station. His room was strictly off-limits and she could remember a time she'd knocked and then let herself in and he'd basically threatened her with death if she ever entered the room without knocking again. Now things were better between the two of them, though. He'd even let help on a couple of cases. He wasn't that bad once you'd got to know him. "Hey Dolls!" Jeremy waved to him from where he stood beside Nicole's desk. His voice carried the exact same cheerfulness of his sister's when she'd greeted her best friend just minutes before. It took him a few seconds to realize that had probably been inappropriate, so he tried to fix, but he only made it worse. "I mean, good... good morning... Agent, marshall..." As he was stumbling with his words and becoming redder and redder in the meantime, the girls couldn't help but chuckling, amused by the whole scene. "You too, Earp." Dolls greeted back, a bit weirded out but the boy's behavior. Jeremy was a very smart scientist and the BBD agent had consulted him more than once about his cases. No need to say that each time had been incredibly embarrassing thanks to the boy's weird behavior. "So, hum, Haught? Come to my office when you've got a moment?" Dolls focused only on Nicole trying his best to ignore the fact that Jeremy was still staring at him, smiling like a fool. "Sure. I'll be there in a sec." The redhead's answer was the cue for him to head back to his office. "Wow Jer, that was subtle." Waverly said as soon as Dolls was out of earshot. "Oh shut up." "C'mon, lovebird. We're gonna be late for our appointment with the florist." Waverly put an hand on her brother's back and started pushing him in the direction of the door. "Hey, Waves?" Nicole's voice stopped them in their tracks. "Call me later?" Waverly gave her the brightest smile she could muster before following her brother outside. Nicole looked at the clock pinned on the wall in front of her desk and sighed heavily. She was exhausted and she really hoped whatever Dolls needed her for it wouldn't take too long to deal with, because she was too tired to work extra hours that day. With another sigh she got up and walked to the man's office. Once she got in front of the door she knocked, making sure to wait for his permission before entering. One death threat was more than enough. "Yeah?" "It's me, sir." "Haught. You can come in." He said in a gentle tone. "Hey. So... What you need me for?" "Do you know this man?" He showed her a picture of a man with long black hair, a black mustache and beautiful blue eyes, he was wearing a cowboy hat and he had a cigarette in the corner of his mouth. Nicole was surprised the picture wasn't a black and white one, because the man in it certainly looked not of their times. There was something familiar about him, even though she couldn't recall ever meeting him. "No, why? Should I?" "I don't know him either, but he claims to know us." "Do you want me to check his criminal records? Maybe he knows us because we've arrested him for some kind of crime..." "Trust me, if I worked for any other division and didn't believe supernatural things were possible, I would be ready to say his words came out of the mouth of a drunk man, but... I'm afraid it's not just a alcoholic we're dealing with." "Okay... What did he say exactly? And who is he anyway?" "We found him at the bottom of a pit. He was screaming out for help and he kept on repeating the name of a woman. Wynonna." "Huh. Never heard before." "That's what I told him, but he wouldn't have it. He says she lives here in Purgatory and is a member of BBD alongside me, him, Jeremy and her sister Waverly." "Wait. Waverly... As in Waverly Earp?" "Yeah. According to him, Wynonna is the heir of Wyatt Earp and the only one who can break the family curse." "But that doesn't make any sense. The only sibling Waverly has is Jeremy." "Right, 'cause that's the only part that didn't make sense to you..." "Okay, yeah, it all sounded a bit crazy..." "And that's not even the half of it." Dolls went on explaining everything that Man had told him. His name was Henry, but people called him Doc and, yes, Doc as in Doc Holliday. How was he still alive? Apparently he wasn't immortal, but he just didn't age. That was as long as his ring, which he had no longer with him, was intact. The ring was also the third seal the two widows, wives of Sheriff Clootie along with Constance, the Stone witch who'd given Doc his ring, needed in order to free their demon husband from the seal Costance had put on him. That had taken Dolls a good hour to understand, which was for him only further proof that Doc couldn't possibly be lying to him: the story was far too complicated to have been invented. The whole explanation of what the mustache man had told him had taken Dolls a very long time, but Nicole listened to it all attentively and doing her best not to get lost. "Wow. That was... Wow." Nicole was so shocked by everything the marshall had just told her that she couldn't even find the words. "So, we believe him, right?" "I can't tell you what to think, officer Haught. But I'm sure you can agree with me when I say he can't have made it all up in the time he was at the bottom of that pit." "So what do we do now?" "I have no idea. Even if what he says it's true, it doesn't change the fact that there is no Wynonna here and we have zero memories of those lives." "I think we shouldn't tell Waverly. Her wedding is in tow days and she has enough worries as it is, we should keep her out of this at least for now." "I agree." They remained silent for a while till Dolls spoke again. "Hey, you've just had a night-shift, haven't you? I think I kept you here long enough, you should go home and get some well deserved rest. I'll let you know if I can learn anything else about all of this." "Okay. Thanks." With a nod Dolls dismissed her and Nicole left the room to go gather her staff and finally head home. It was lunchtime, but all she could think about was getting into her bed and sleeping till late evening. That night at Shorty's... Waverly and Jeremy had been out all day in order to get everything ready for her wedding. That night Champ and his friends were out for his stag party, whereas she was stuck behind the counter at Shorty's serving alcohol to old men and their young girlfriends. She was glad her husband-to-be and his friends had been smart enough to choose another place to go get drunk and lose their dignity. Waverly hoped they wouldn't do anything stupid, but, knowing them, she knew her hopes were futile. There was a 99% probability the boys would get in trouble and Waverly would've had to go pick them up at the station the morning after. Sometimes she wondered if Champ was really her only choice. Couldn't she have found someone else, someone better? But who? Nicole maybe? Wait what?! She was shocked that thought had even crossed her mind. Nicole was her friend, best friend even, but that was it. Right? She didn't think of her as anything more. Why would she? As if her brother could read her mind from where he was sitting on the other side of the counter, he asked her: "So... What's going on between you and Nicole?" "W-what do you mean?" The young girl had been taken by surprise by his question. "Oh, I don't know... You're just... Acting differently." "Differently? What's so different in the way we interact?" "Look, it's not a big deal really. I just... I just noticed some changes, that's all. I don't know how to explain it, okay? It's like, like there's a different spark in your eyes when you look at each other." "Different sp-" It took the girl a second to understand what her brother was trying to say. "Wait, are you implying there's more than just friendship between me and Nicole? Jeremy, I'm getting married in less than two days!" Waverly tried her best to keep her tone just above a whisper so not to be heard by everyone around them. "I know, I know. Look, I would never think you're a cheater, okay? I'm just saying-" "Just because you're gay it doesn't mean we all need to be freaks like you, Jer!" She was so mad at him she didn't even realize what she was saying till it was too late and the words were already up in the air. "Okay, you know what? Ouch. That hurt, Waves." His eyes were welling up, but he was not going to cry like a baby in front of all of those people, so he jumped to his feet and ran out the door. "Jeremy... Wait! Jer!" Waverly tried to call after him in vain. As the Earp boy was rushing out Nicole was getting into Shorty's and was almost ran into by the boy. "Woah. What's wit the rush?" She asked her best friend who was standing midway between the doors and the counter. When the girl shook her head and ran back behind the bar, she followed her worried. "Waves? Hey, what's going on?" She didn't get a response, so she leaned onto the counter until she could reach one of the girl's hands. She grabbed it gently and waited for the young Earp to look at her. When Waverly finally raised her eyes, Nicole could see there were tears there and her worry only increased. "Babe, just talk to me. What happened?" "I just called Jeremy a freak." She cried. "Oh my God! I just called my own brother a freak! He's gonna hate me forever, I'm like the worst sister in the whole wide world!" She dropped her head on her arms resting on the bar. "Okay... I admit that, calling him that? Probably not the kindest words you could've used, but... Waves, I know you and you're like the sweetest person in the world. Besides, your his sister and he loves you more than anything, I'm sure he'll forgive you if you go apologize." 'You're my sister, okay? I'll always forgive you!' Waverly couldn't remember exactly when she'd heard those words and who had been to say them, but somehow they came to her mind after hearing Nicole's words. Anyway, that was not the moment to try and figure out where that memory came from, she had other, more imminent, problems to worry about. "You really think so? God, I can't believe I actually said that." "Hey. Look, with the wedding and everything it's normal to be a little bit stressed out and, you know, that can make do or say things you don't mean..." "Yeah... But still..." She sighed. "And I guess, maybe, being engaged to a douche-bag doesn't exactly make things easier on you. No offense." It was no news that Nicole, just like Jeremy, didn't like Champ, but she tried to be a good friend to Waverly, so she almost never mentioned it. 'I just yelled at you, you shouldn't be so nice with me.' 'You know, Waverly, I think you've just been dating too many dickheads.' 'We're not dating.' Another memory and once again Waverly couldn't tell where that came from. She just ignored it as the one before. "Look, I know Champ isn't exactly the gentleman type of guy, but we live in a small town it's not like I had much choice." "But you love him, right?" "I... Yeah. Of course..." She tried her best to sound convincing, but it didn't work. "Are you sure?" "Why is everyone assuming I'm having second thoughts today, huh? I'm not gonna call off my wedding the day before it's happening! That would be wrong." "But so would be marrying someone you don't love. Look, Waverly, when it comes to getting married on a fever, I've been there, done that." "With Shay. Yeah, I know..." "My point is: listen to someone who has already made that mistake. Trust me, if I could go back, I'd never get married for fun again. You have no idea how frustrating it feels to know that one day, when I finally meet my soulmate, I won't even be able to call her my first, because, if we ever decide to get married, I'll have to call her my second wife. As if she were my second choice and not the most important person in my life. What I'm trying to say is: you're still in time to back out of this if you're reading not sure Champ is the person you wanna spend the rest of your life with. Don't make your soulmate be your second choice like I did." When she'd finished she waited for Waverly to say something and she probably would've if her phone hadn't started ringing. "It's Champ." Speaking of the devil, she thought. "Sorry, I gotta take this." She had a bad feeling the boys had already gotten into trouble and it wasn't even half past midnight yet. It was a quarter to one when Waverly finally made it to the sheriff station. She parked her car in front of the entrance and entered the building. The officer behind the front desk wasn't surprised to see her, it was the fourth time that month she had to go pick Champ up because he'd been arrested, was it for drunk driving, damaging of private property or for getting into a fight at a pub, he'd always found a way to get into trouble. "I'd say good night, but I guess it's not." The man greeted her with a soft smile. "I don't know what you mean. Having to pick your drunk fiancé up at sheriff station after he's been arrested is every soon-to-be-wife dream, right?" She joked back. He chuckled and then motioned with his hand towards the hallway. "You know the way." "Unfortunately." She said to herself as she headed down the corridor to the cell she knew she would find Champ in. "Baby!" The boy screamed excitedly and ran to the bars when he saw his girl walking towards him. "Thank God, you're here! Can you believe I had to spend my last night as bachelor in this smelly cell." He slurred his words a little, but Waverly was almost more used to his drunk talking than his sober one. "Technically it's your second-to-last night as bachelor... And I'm pretty sure you're the one who stinks, Champ, not this cell." She scrunched up her nose at the smell of alcohol that emanated from the boy. "Whatever... Now, c'mon, get us out here, baby." "You know what? I think I'm actually going to leave you in here for the night." "Excuse me?!" He tried to sound angry, but his drunk state only made him sound surprised. "Yeah, Champ. I'm tired of having to pick you up at the station because you and your friends got drunk, did something stupid and then got arrested for it." Waverly wasn't really one to yell, but she'd had enough of his misbehavior and by then she'd lost all her temper. "We're getting married tomorrow and you're still behaving like a child! I guess I was stupid to think you would actually man up before our wedding day." Her eyes were starting to welling up, but she still managed to keep a steady voice. "Baby..." He tried, but she wasn't quite finished yet. "I had one request, Champ. One! You promised me you wouldn't get yourself arrested tonight!" At this point she just didn't give a damn if her voice was cracking and her cheeked were wet with tears. "I should know better than to trust you by now..." There was just so much sadness in her voice as she spoke these last words. "Baby, c'mon, don't say that. Of course you can trust me. I made a mistake, okay. I'm sorry. The boys and I had a little too much to drink and..." Once again he was interrupted by the girl. "Goodnight, Champ." She said firmly before turning and leaving, ignoring his pleas and sorries. The next morning at the homestead... Waverly was sitting outside on the porch with a blanket wrapped around her body. She was staring at the horizon in front of her, but not quite looking at anything in particular. The sun had already risen and the girl had been there to witness the whole moment. She'd gotten home very late the previous night, but she was simply to riled up to get some sleep. She'd stayed up all night, thinking about everything and anything. She replayed the events at Shorty's, what her brother told her about her and Nicole, the words she'd said to him, what Nicole had told her about marriage, Champ... And, for last, she even thought about her parents. She wished her mother had never left and dad was still alive. She imagined her father walking her to the altar at her wedding the next day. She even imagined Nicole was the one standing at the end of the aisle, smiling back at her and eating for her father to give her his daughter's hand. She didn't even know why her fantasy went there, she'd never thought of Nicole as anything other than a friend. Or did she? Maybe she had, unconsciously that is. Anyway, her imagination ran wild all night long and she was still fantasizing when her brother came out of the front door at about seven thirty. "Waves?" He asked surprised to see her there. "You've been out here all night?" When the girl turned her head to face him he noticed there were tear stains on her cheeks nod it didn't take long for him to put two and two. "What did Champ do this time?" "Jeremy..." She shook her head and started crying again. "I'm so sorry about last night. I don't know what's gotten to me, I swear I didn't believe those words. I love you and I could never..." "Hey. It's okay." He stepped forward and put a reassuring hand on the girl's forearm. "I know you didn't mean it. It doesn't make it any less painful to hear, but..." "Can you forgive me?" She basically begged him. "Waves... You're my sister, of course I forgive you." He smiled at her before wrapping into a tight embrace. 'No, God, I'm over it! I forgive you! You're my sister, okay? I will always forgive you!' Again the sense of déjà vu took over Waverly's features. She was sure she'd live that situation before, but when? And why did those words come to her mind as if they were a memory? Before she could worry her mind too much, though, she was brought back to reality by her brother breaking the hug. "So... About that douche-bag of your fiancé... What did he do?" His sister might've changed the subject, but he was sure the boy was the reason for her being that upset in the first place. "He and his friends got drunk and got into a fight at the pub. They got arrested. Again. He called me at about half past midnight to go pick them up at the station. I did go, but then I left them there." She didn't have the courage to look into her brother's eyes. "You what? Really?" He exclaimed surprised. "I'm impressed. I'm glad to see my lil sis is finally showing her balls." He gave her a light punch on her arm. "I don't know... I'm not so sure if that was the right thing to do, Jer. I shouldn't have left my future husband to rot in jail." "Okay. First of, I'm pretty sure he did not rot for just one night and, second, you should've left him in jail the first time he got arrested and called you to go save his dumb ass. I say it was about time you left him there for the night." "I just hope he doesn't make a scene when I'll see him later today. We're supposed to have lunch with his parents at noon." She sighed heavily. "Why are you getting married to that child again?" He joked. "Ha ha. Very funny. We've had this conversation before, you know why." Before Jeremy can say anything else, his phone buzzing into his pocket. He takes it out to see who it was and is surprised to see the name appear on his screen. "It's Dolls. I have to go." He says apologetically. "Of course you do." She mocked him. "Just try not to break all the speed limits as you rush to the station." "Oh, come on! I'm not that desperate." "If you say so..." "Hey. You've just been forgiven, don't push it." "Okay. Fine. I'll say no more." "Good girl." He smiled at her before heading inside quickly to get his things. After a few seconds he was out again and jumping down the few steps in front of the porch. "I'll see you later. Let me know how lunch went!" He yelled back at her as he headed towards his car. "I will. Love you!" She yelled back. "Love you too! More!" He screamed before closing his car door and leaving down the road. Jeremy got to the station in half the time it would normally take to get into town for the homestead, so, yeah, he may have broken the speed limits a few times, here and there. Maybe Waverly hadn't been so wrong to think him that desperate to see Dolls. He parked his car outside the station and then rushed in. He was on such a hurry he almost missed Nedley greeting him from the door of his office, where he was standing with a cup of coffee in one hand and a newspaper in the other. It was eight in the morning, so the whole town was still pretty silent and there wasn't much to do for the sheriff. Jeremy managed to say a quick hello back at the man before taking the hallway and heading straight towards Dolls's office. He was about to enter the room without even knocking, but Nicole stopped him with a "I wouldn't do that if I were you. Unless of course a death threat is the greeting you're looking for at eight am." He stepped away from the door and waited for his friend to knock. Inside, next to the man he'd longed to see ever since receiving that text, he found another figure. The introduced himself as Henry, Doc for his friends, and it didn't take long for Jeremy to realize who he really was. To say he went crazy about it is a bit reductive. As the nerd that he is, of course he knew all about the legendary Doc Holliday, best friend of none other than his ancestor Wyatt Earp. When he was finally done geeking over the Doc, Dolls and the others told him everything about Wynonna and her disappearance. Just like Nicole and the marshall, Jeremy had no memories of the life Doc had described, but he too had no reason to believe what he'd said wasn't true. In the meantime Waverly was dealing with her first free day in forever. She'd refused to take any days off to take care of the wedding preparations, but her boss had insisted she should at least take the before the wedding for herself. She still felt awful because of what had happened with Champ that night, but at least she had cleared things up with her brother and that was enough to set her mood a little higher. Since she had nothing to do till noon, when she had to meet Champ and his parents for lunch at their house, she thought getting some sleep wouldn't be such a terrible idea after the night she'd just had. Lunch with her future in-laws went exactly as bad as she feared. Champ was furious with her for leaving him locked up at the station, his parents were furious with him for getting drunk, which only made him even more riled up. In the end, there had been a lot of screaming and arguing and almost no eating at all. In that moment she would've given anything to just grab her apron and go to work her afternoon shift at Shorty's. When she finally got back at the homestead at three she sighed in relief. She'd really longed for the peace and quiet of her home. She had sent a text to Jeremy, telling him all about her day so far and asking him what he and his boyfriend had been up to. She knew she shouldn't push it too much, but her brother had it so bad for Dolls that she just couldn't stop joking about his crush. At the station, the three men and Nicole worked hard on finding a way to get their memories back and, of course, on getting Wynonna Earp back. The Iron witch had really committed herself making sure to erase any proof or link to their forgotten lives. Waverly's research about the family curse was nowhere to be found, so all their work could only be based on what Doc had told them. By the end of the afternoon they still hadn't found anything useful. Jeremy and Nicole had promised Waverly they would've had dinner all together to cheer her up after the disaster that had been her lunch with Champ, so they all decided to give up for the day and to meet again the day after the wedding. That night Nicole had to leave quite soon, because Nedley had called her in to cover two hours of the shift of one of the deputies who'd had a family matter to take care of. Jeremy and Waverly had been up till late, chatting about they're best memories growing up. When it was one am they finally gave into sleep and went to bed. It was Waverly's big day after all and they had to get up early to get ready for the ceremony. Wedding day... Waverly was standing in her room oblivious of the fact that Champ had yet to arrive and the ceremony was to start in thirty minutes. She had yet to see Nicole and that worried her a little, even though she had no doubts the girl wouldn't miss her big day for the world. Her brother was somewhere outside discussing God knows what with Dolls and another man she'd never seen before. She sighed. She was alone. She'd gotten dressed alone, put on her make up on her own and done her own hair. Shouldn't be the bride be surrounded by tons of people right before the wedding? Where the hell was everybody? As if someone could hear her thoughts, a knock came from the door. "Come in." She said eagerly. "Nicole!" She almost screamed in joy at the sight of her best friends. "Hey." The redhead greeted back. "Wow, Waves. You look beautiful." She stared in awe at the girl for a little more than would've been appropriate for just a friend. "Thanks." The young Earp couldn't help but blush a little at the compliment. "Are you okay? Nervous?" "I'm fine. I'm about to marry a dickhead, right? What's not to love about that?" "Waverly..." "I'm just kidding..." She trailed off when she noticed something was not quite right with Nicole. She wasn't wearing her bridesmaid dress, but her deputy uniform. "Hey, why... Why are you still in your uniform?" The other girl said nothing and moved to turn away her gaze instead. "Nicole? What's going on?" "It's Champ..." "What about him?" "He got arrested again last night. Nedley allowed him to leave the station, but on one condition: a police officer is to be with him all the time. Since he knew I was coming to the wedding, he picked me to babysit Champ." "You're joking, right?" She said with tears in her eyes. "Waves..." She tried, but was cut off by the other girl. "Where is he now?" "Guest room. But... Before you go... Babe... His parents are taking care of him as best they can, but... He's still a little drunk and the man he got into a fight with has left him with a very nasty black eye." She talked slowly in order to be able to study Waverly's reaction to the news. "Awesome." She stated sarcastically. "Welcome to the happiest day of your life, Waverly..." She said to herself as she moved for the door. "I'm sorry..." "It's not your fault, Nicole..." And with that she left the room to go pay her fiancé a visit. When she got to the guest room, she didn't even bother knocking, she just barged into the room. "Baby!" Champ yelled happily when he saw her. "Waverly..." His mother tried. "Leave us. Please." She waited for his parents to get out before turning back to the boy. "Wow, baby. You're hot." He went to put his hands on her hips, but she slapped him away. "And you're drunk." He just shrugged. "It's our wedding day, Champ. Or have you forgotten? You really couldn't go one night without drinking?!" "It was just a beer..." "Oh really? Now you get drunk after just one drink?! And what about your damn eye, huh?!" "It's just a bruise... It'll pass..." "Yeah? And how long before you get a new one? How long before you get arrested again? Do you even know you're only out on bail?! The only reason they let you out is because Nicole is here to babysit you!" "Please. I don't need a babysitter." Are you sure? 'Cause all you've been doing ever since we got together is acting like a child! At first I thought it was because you were still a teenager and you still needed to mature, then, when you proposed, I thought the time had finally come for you to become a man. But I was wrong. You're still that child who asked me to go out on a date with him during our senior year." She took a pause before saying what she had really wanted to say all along. "I've borne you for three years, Champ, but I can't do this anymore. We're done." "Wh-what do you mean done?" "I mean that I'm not marrying you today, or ever." And then she said the words that had taken way too long for her to believe. "I deserve better than you." "Baby..." "I hope you and your beers can live happily ever after. Goodbye, Champ." And with that she turned and left the room. She had done it. She had finally listened to all her friends and family telling her she should break up with that boy-man who didn't deserve her. Now there was just one more thing she needed to do. Nicole had gone outside, in front of the porch, to join the others in their conversation. She was talking to Dolls when she saw Waverly step outside. She excused herself to go to see if the girl was alright. The brunette saw her and waited for her to join her on the porch. "Waves. Hey, what happened?" Now that she was standing in front of the girl she could there were tear tracks on her cheeks. "I ended it. Yeah, I'm done. We're done." "Oh" Well, that was unexpected. "You were right, Nicole. I never should've said yes to him. I just... I just thought, living in this small town, I had no other choice, but... I was wrong." She took a moment to look at the girl standing in front of her. Nicole seemed a little confused, so Waverly continued. "I think I've already found the one I love. I was just too blind to see it." She looked straight into Nicole's eyes before moving to place her hands on the girl's cheeks. The redhead held her breath, she was studying Waverly's every move not believing that was actually happening. Slowly the brunette closed the gap between their lips. Nicole was paralyzed for a moment, but, when she realized she wasn't dreaming, she finally responded to the kiss. Just like in the fairytales, as the girls were kissing all of her memories flashed back into their minds. They remembered their first meeting in Shorty's, Nicole flirting with Waverly, they remembered discussing their feelings for each other, they remembered their first kiss in Nedley's office, Willa shooting Nicole, their fights and their first time, they remembered Waverly being possessed by a demon and Nicole and Wynonna working together to save her, they remembered their fight when Waverly found out Nicole had lied to her about her DNA test results, they remembered the accident with the widow that had almost killed Nicole, they remembered. They parted gasping, as all the memories came back to them. They looked at each other surprised. "Waves?" "Babe. I remember." They smiled at each other before going back in for another kiss. It was Nicole to break it after a while. "As much as I love doing this, we need to talk to the others." "The others." Waverly turned to look at the three still standing in they're spot in front of the house. They weren't talking anymore, but they all had their attention on the two girls. "They don't remember us..." She said sadly. "Doc does. But he's the only one." "Wait, how did you...?" "We'll explain you everything, I promise. C'mon." She grabbed Waverly's hand and dragged the girl towards the others. Since the wedding had been called off, Waverly and Jeremy has sent all the guests home, apologizing for the change of course. Once everyone had left, the Earp siblings had ushered Doc, Dolls and Nicole inside so they could discuss everything in private. Now that three out of five had their memories back, the facts were a little easier to reconstruct. Waverly told them all she knew about Gretta, her wish, the deal they made at the hospital to save Nicole's life. Together they went through all the possible ways to get Wynonna back, just like they had the day before. "I'm afraid science doesn't have a solution for this kind of disappearance." Jeremy said when asked for the umpteenth time if he had found something useful in his books. His answer gave Waverly and idea, though. There might have been someone of their acquaintance who could own the solution to Wynonna's disappearance. "I think I know who does, though. Gretta." "The iron witch? Waverly, she's the reason Wynonna is gone." Doc didn't like her idea one bit. "I know. Which is exactly why she's also the only way to get her back." "So let me get this straight, you wanna make a new deal with the same witch who tricked you into giving the widows the third seal and then made your sister vanish?" Jeremy hoped he had misunderstood the plan. "Wave... this is too dangerous." Nicole's voice was full of concern. "But it's also our best chance. We need to try and talk to her." "She's right. This might really be our only choice." Wait, did Dolls just agreed to her plan straight away? He really had no memories of his real life. He and the Earp girl looked at the others and waited for them to say their okays and fines. It was settled, they had a plan. It wasn't the best plan, they knew that, but they had run out of options and maybe of time as well. If widow Beth had already broken the third seal and freed her demon husband, they could only hope they would get Wynonna back in time before sheriff Clootie destroyed everything. They went to the hospital and asked at the receptionist for Gretta. The man had told he could not just disturb a nurse on her shift for no reason, so Nicole and Dolls showed him their uniform and badge to give him one. They told him to let her know they would be waiting for her outside, since they had to discuss some business privately. Minutes passed and no one showed up. They were beginning to think the man had completely ignored their request, but then the doors opened and Gretta appeared through them. "Waverly Earp. Why am I not surprised to see you?" "Maybe you'll be surprised to see me then." Doc said as he pointed a gun at the woman. "Holliday. No need for that gun." "We need to talk." Waverly interjected. They had no time to waste threatening each other. "Do we?" "You have to bring Wynonna back. Undo your wish." "That's just not happening. I'm sorry, sweetheart, but you should've thought of the consequences when you agreed to make a deal with me." "You tricked me. I'd asked for a cure." "And I led you to one. I kept my side of the deal, you knew you'd have to pay back somehow." "Pay back... of course!" How did she not think about it before? She finally knew how they were going to get her sister back. "You said Wynonna and I had to pay for killing your sister. You wished for one of us to have to live without the other like you have to live without Mattie. It doesn't have to be Wynonna, though, does it?" That caught Gretta's attention. "I'm listening..." "Bring Wynonna back and take me instead." "Waverly..." Doc and Dolls said at the same time, soon followed by Nicole. "Ok, woah. Hold on, can we at least talk about this first?" "Nicole..." "Waverly, please... there has to be another way." "We're running out of time. With Beth in possession of the third seal, God knows what's about to happen. For all we know sheriff Clootie might already be walking among us. He's nothing like the demons we had to deal with so far, he's stronger, more dangerous. There's no way we can stop him without Wynonna and you know that." "She's right. We need her now more than ever." This was the second time in very little time that Dolls had agreed with her. She surely liked this version of him. Waverly stepped in front of her girlfriend and grabbed her hand in hers. "Look, this won't be forever, okay? We get Wynonna back and, once you've defeated Clootie, you'll find a way to get me back as well. I trust you." Then looking at everyone else. "All of you." They all stared at each other for a moment. It was clear nobody liked this plan, but they did understand it was necessary to confront what was coming. Their moment was soon interrupted by a not-so-patient Gretta. "Tik tok. I don't have forever, lovebirds. Do we have a new deal or not?" Waverly looked at the witch for a second. She took a deep breath to steady her voice before turning to Nicole. "I love you. Just hold on to that, okay? We will find a way back to each other." Then again at everyone: "You take care of Wynonna and the little one for me, okay? I swear, if you let anything happen to them, I'm gonna kick all of your asses when I get back." They we're all crying, but her comment had managed to lighten up the mood a little, making them laugh softly. "No, but seriously, promise me you'll all take care of each other while I'm gone. And tell Wynonna I'm sorry. I... I should've listened to her. I should've trusted her and I hope that one day she'll be able to forgive me." "He hem." Gretta cleared her throat. She'd had enough of all these sentimentalism. Waverly finally turned to face her fully. "You bring Wynonna back and make me disappear. That's our deal." She said firmly. She wasn't gonna risk misunderstandings a second time. "Almost. I think a change of the original deal needs a higher price. When I took your sister away, I gave you new lives, new memories. Your sister and your friends won't be so lucky this time. I will give them their memories back so that every day they'll wake up knowing you are missing and there's nothing they can do about it. Just like I have to live without my sister, being aware there's no way to get her back. This is my deal. Take it or leave it." Waverly hesitated a moment. She did want her friends to have their memories back, otherwise they wouldn't have known about the widows, demon Clootie and the Earp family curse. She did want them to be able to be prepared for this new threat, but another side of her wished they could forget about it all and live free of this mess that were their lives. She sighed and looked the Iron witch straight in the eye before agreeing to the deal. "I take it. Yeah, we've got a deal." "Very well. I hope you said your goodbyes, 'cause you won't be seeing them for a while. Or, you know, ever." "Just get this over with." Gretta started pronouncing some kind of spell in German like she had the other time. As she was doing so, Nicole had reached Waverly and took her hand. The girls looked at each other, crying. "I love you!" "I'll be back." And with that she vanished. That was it. She was gone. "Waverly!" The redhead cried out staring at where the young Earp was standing just a second before. "Wynonna!" The three men exclaimed as the woman appeared right in front of them. They remembered everything too. "Hey, guys. Why do you look like you've seen a ghost? And how did I get here?" Wynonna asked not understanding what had just happened. "Well, it looks like you people might have some catching up to do. My job is done here." Gretta said before going back into the hospital. "What...?" She took a look around, but everyone averted their eyes. Everyone but Nicole, who looked at her with tears in her eyes, and that was when the Earp heir noticed someone was missing. "Where's Waverly?" A tear traveled down the redhead cheek before she moved her gaze away, just like the others had done. "Guys? Can someone, please, tell me what the hell is going on?" Dolls looked up, took a deep breath and said: "Come, let's go to the station. We'll explain you everything once we get there." He put a hand on her back and gently pushed away from the entrance of the hospital, the others following close.

Down So Low
So this is a quick little fic I wrote about Willa’s journey to her final moments against Wynonna as she goes below where Peacemaker sent her. I will be adding it to AO3 soon as well. Title and lyrics from “Down So Low” by Royal Deluxe. Warning this does contain depictions of child abuse and domestic violence.
Down, down so low How deep into the ground can one man dig a hole? Down, down so low Leaving you crying out, have mercy on my soul
It was her earliest memory. She must have been three, certainly no older than four. Mama had given her a stuffed bear- he was a raggedy old thing, with black buttons for eyes and flimsy arms the perfect size for her little hands to hug. She had screamed with joy when Mama gave him to her- this was her bear. Willa’s bear. She can’t remember if Mama had made him by hand; she may have, seeing as how all of Willa’s dresses were hand-me-downs or hand sewn for her. But Willa loved all of them because they were hers. Even her little boots with the big hole by her big toe made her happy because they were all hers. Growing up she knew her family never had much, but as a baby none of that had mattered. Nothing had mattered that day except her bear. As soon as she grabbed him from Mama’s hand she ran to the living room to show Baby Nonna, who was sitting up on a quilt with a rattle in her chubby hand.
“Nonna, Nonna looookkk!” she squealed, shoving the bear in the baby’s face, almost knocking her backwards. “He’s my bear Mama gave him to me he is brown and small like you! He’s my bear but-but I can share him cause you don’t have a bear cause you’re too small.” Willa knelt down next to her sister, who cooed and reached out to squeeze the bear’s snout with her free hand. “Yeah Nonna he’s soft- but don’t eat him though please that’s nasty!” She hurriedly pulled the bear away as her sister tried to take a test bite of his snout. The sudden movement through the baby off balance and she toppled forward. After a moment of silence, digesting what had just happened, she began to cry out. Willa looked up to see Mama rush over to pick up the baby and gently rock her to calm her down. “I didn’t do nothing Mama she tried to eat him and she fell I didn’t do nothing!” Willa yelled, her voice cracking on the final ‘nothing’. Mama smiled down at her.
“I know you didn’t mean to, sweetheart. But remember, Nonna is little and we have to be careful with her. Babies are helpless when they’re little. So you have to be a big, responsible girl for me.”
Willa nodded fervently with her eyes wide. She was a big girl. So she had to be responsible and good and careful.
It was at that moment the front door slammed open, signaling Daddy was home from work. Nonna began to wail again, and with that ended Willa’s happiest memory.
And she still was. Protecting her Nonna, that is. She’d learned so much in her 29 years but most of all she had learned:
“That death can be a mercy.”
The look on Wynonna’s face told her that she did not understand.
It was her 6th birthday. There was no party- the Earps didn’t do parties but that was okay. Willa really didn’t have any friends in Kindergarten anyways. They thought she was weird and smelled funny and had a boy name. Nonna, four years old and sprightly as ever, was her only friend. Mama had made her her favorite cake- chocolate with funfetti icing, cause she could never decide if she wanted vanilla or chocolate cake so Mama just mixed the two. She blew out the six candles and closed her eyes tight to make a wish. ‘I wish I could get a horse’ she thought to herself, really almost prayed. Daddy was standing in the door frame to the kitchen, staring at his boot. He’d been moody lately, not that he wasn’t usually. But Willa saw the bottles. And those bottles made him mean. Mama patted Nonna on the head as she wiggled in her seat, eager to dig into cake. She looked over at Daddy.
“Is there anything you’d like to say to your daughter for her special day?”
Daddy scoffed and looked over at Willa, his face hard to read. Maybe it was annoyance, or anger. Or pity.
“Her special day is 21 years away, Wendy. She’s just marking time now.”
He walked over to the table and sat down across from Willa and her cake. He reached into his boot and pulled out a pistol. It was old, anyone could see that, but well taken care of. Willa saw herself reflected in the freshly- polished silver barrel and gulped. Daddy had told her stories about this gun, and everything it had done. Everything it meant to her family, and her legacy. Peacemaker. A name like that should bring a sense of ease but all she felt was rising terror.
“You see this gun, Willa?”
She nodded, not taking her eyes off of it.
“This will be yours in 21 years. And with it, every last one of those 77 revenants resurrected from Hell will be yours too. It will be your responsibility to put every last one of those sons of bitches into the ground and to do that you need training. You’re old enough now to hold a gun. Not this one-”
He flashed Peacemaker a final time and slipped it back into his boot.
“-but this one.” He pulled out a similarly designed pistol, probably nearly as old, and pushed it across the table to her. “Your training begins immediately. There is no time to waste because you have to be ready. If you’re not, they will kill you and Nonna and every last one of us!” His voice rises on the last words. Willa fights back the tears, because he cannot see her cry. Mama looks heartbroken and is covering Nonna’s ears, cause she doesn’t need to hear this. She only wants cake. Willa looks to Mama for help, but she knows there is nothing to be done. The Earp Curse is coming for her whether she likes it or not.
That was the end of Willa’s childhood.
Peacemaker clicks. She tries again but another click. “Wh-what happened?” She feels the tears coming but she holds them back. They will never see her cry.
“You went wrong.” Nonna doesn’t fight the tears.
No. No she didn’t this is the only way to save them all. To free them. If only the stupid gun would shoot. She cocks it a third time and that’s when her side ignites in a splintering pain.
She was eight years old. Her and Nonna play tea party with their stuffed animals. Tea party guests this evening include a Raggedy Ann, a porcelain doll that Willa was half sure was haunted but it would just have to do, and Mr. Plumpkins, her bear. Willa holds an empty tea cup up to Mr. Plumpkins’ mouth and makes slurping sounds as “he” drinks. In her best British accent (still quite a poor one) she says “Jolly-ho Raggedy Ann that is some fine tea you brewed up today! Now can I have a scoonnee?” Willa elongates the word as she reaches over to pick up an empty plate and place it in front of Mr. Plumpkins. Nonna laughs and grabs Raggedy Ann, ready to respond.
But it is at that moment Willa’s bedroom door bursts open, the old wood in the frame cracking from the force. Her blood runs cold.
“WILLA EARP WHAT THE HELL ARE YOU DOING UP HERE?”
She stands up quickly to face her father, bear still in hand. She keeps Nonna hidden squarely behind her, Nonna who is burying her face in the Raggedy Ann doll to hide her whimper.
“We’re just playing Daddy I forgot about training I thought you said you had work today!”
“The hell you were just playing who do you think you are? Some sweet little girl?!” With this he lunges forward and grabs her by the hair, whiskey on his breath, leaning in to make sure she gets the message that follows.
“You are the goddamn Earp heir you don’t have the goddamn time to play ‘tea party’ with Wyn or anyone else! What did I say about this kind of slacking off huh? HUH?” He yanks harder on her hair and she can’t stifle her tears anymore.
“You said they all die! If I slack off they’re all dead!”
The silence that followed was more deafening than Ward’s yells. Taking a moment to see that he was satisfied with her answer, he roughly let her go and stood back to his full height. Subconsciously, Willa tightened her grip on Mr. Plumpkins, and it did not escape his notice.
“Wendy never should have given you that damn bear. Making you think you could be just like any other kid. You’re done here.”
And with that he snatched Mr. Plumpkins from Willa’s grasp. She screamed before she could stop herself, which earned a slap across the face from Ward. She was instantly silent and looked up at him, hand gingerly touching the growing redness on her cheek.
“I’m throwing this damn bear out in the woods, and when I get back you better have your gun loaded and ready for target practice, got it?”
His voice was quiet now, which made him even scarier. Willa pursed her lips and nodded, taking in a deep breath to steady her nerves.
“Yes sir.”
Ward nodded. “Good”
Then he left. And with him went the idea that the Homestead was even a home.
The creature roared as it wrapped a tentacle around her bleeding waist, and Willa knew it was time Wynonna learned. Learned the truth.
“You see Wynonna?”
Her lungs were already running out of air.
“You can never really go home again.”
And when the creature pulled her backwards she screamed with all she had left.
She was 11 years old. She was out on a walk around the Homestead’s land with Nonna, careful to always stay on the Homestead land- never leaving it so the Revenants couldn’t touch her. Daddy was quite clear about that rule. It was a rare moment, when she was free to just be, and she chose to just be with her sister. Everything was good for once-
“Nonna, Nonna lookit what I found in the bushies!”
-except for that thing. The tiny girl ran out of the bushes and up to Wynonna, holding out a brown fuzzy mess. She was jumping up and down and babbling a mile a minute as Wynonna took a look at the doll. After a moment recognition dawned on her face and she turned to Willa.
“Willa it’s Mr. Plumpkins! I guess Daddy wasn’t that good at getting rid of him.” She scoffed as she brushed some twigs and leaves off his fur, “Can’t really say I’m surprised; he’s drunk off his ass most days as it is.” The tiny girl, Waverly, was now grabbing at the bear with tiny hands. Wynonna held up a hand to her.
“Now Waves I know you found him and you want to keep him, but he actually belongs to Willa. We thought he was lost a long time ago. It would be nice if Willa could have him back don’t you think?”
Waverly scrunches up her face as she stands still a moment and thinks. She then smiles and waves her arm above her head like she’s had a dramatic light bulb moment, “I think Willi would be very very very happy with her bear back I know I would be so here Willi here’s your bear.” Waverly took the bear from Wynonna and held it out to Willa.
Time seemed to stand still for a moment as Willa looked at her bear. Her bear. The one Mama had made for her as a baby. Her favorite thing in the world. But then she had grown up. She wasn’t a child anymore, and hadn’t been for a long time. She was the heir now. And Mama had left. The bear almost seemed to mock her now. Mock her with the past. And she couldn’t stand it.
She grabbed Mr. Plumpkins and threw him back into the bushes Waverly had pulled him from. “Put that damn thing back where it belongs!” she yelled at no one in particular. Waverly looked at her big sister and blinked back tears as she ran after the bear. Willa quickly turned around to march back to the Homestead but Wynonna grabbed her arm.
“Whoa there partner; where are you going what the hell was that about?” She gestured to where Waverly now sat cuddling the bear. “She was trying to be nice.” This last sentence was whispered. Wynonna knew Willa had never liked Waverly. She didn’t really understand why but it was no secret she had no affection for the youngest Earp.
Willa did her best to hide her face as she knew the tears were coming. The stupid tears showing her stupid weakness. Seems like they could never be beaten out of her like Daddy hoped.
“That stupid bear was for a different me, Nonna. A me who’s been gone a very long time.”
It was all Willa could say and Wynonna, while only nine, understood. She had learned a lot in her nine years, more than any kid should have to learn. She reached out and wiped a tear from her sister’s cheek.
“You know I’m always here for you, right?” She whispered.
At that Willa fully faced her, eyes red and puffy.
“Don’t you ever say that Nonna I’m the one here for you. It’s my job to protect you and Daddy and everyone in this goddamn town because only I can!” Her voice cracked but she fought to hold herself together. Crying would accomplish nothing.
And after all that, her Nonna just shook her head. “No. No no no. Willa. Yes only you can shoot Peacemaker. Yes, you have to kill those Revenants. But that doesn’t mean you’re alone. While you protect us, I will always protect you. Cause Mama ain’t. Daddy sure won’t. So I will. And don’t even try to fight me on this one.”
And Willa hadn’t.
They say you see your life flash before your eyes when you die. But Willa didn’t see everything. She only saw what mattered. Who mattered. Through her blurry vision she saw Peacemaker glow blue, and in a voice so hushed she could barely make out the words, her Nonna said:
“Make your peace.”
And with a crack it went dark.
Oh Lord, down so low
Oh Lord, down so low
Oh Lord, down so low
Oh Lord, down so low

Reacting to Wynonna Earp: “She Ain’t Right”
When It’s Played Straight (So to Speak)
The Setup: Find our reaction to Wynonna Earp’s season 2 premiere here. As one of our first experiments in following a show as it airs, we’re trying to keep up with the “act breaks” of the season. (As one of our others, see Miri’s Orphan Black reactions.)
The excellent image above came from here.
SPOILERS (and gifs, and a few bad jokes) for episode 204 of Wynonna Earp abound after the jump:
MIRI: Kris, DOLLS IS A DRAGON!!!!!!
KRIS: So many things!
DOLLS IS A DRAGON
MIRI: He can BREATHE FIRE
and be all adorable after but HE IS A DRAGON
KRIS: I 1000% love that his and Wynonna’s first reactions were THAT WAS AWESOME
MIRI: Yes! It was the perfect, unexpected payoff to all of that “what is he??” buildup
Also, the shot of Doc, Jeremy, and chemist lady whose name I don’t know yet behind the bar was really funny
KRIS: I keep forgetting her name too
It’s okay, Miri remembers it below
Also: meet Wynonna Earp, Pyromaniac, apparently
MIRI: That does not surprise me in the least
KRIS: So ready to welcome Jeremy to the fold for two seconds
MIRI: I’m really enjoying the addition of Jeremy
“Last in first out”
KRIS: I wonder what Wynonna’s version of grudging/not-so-grudging eventual acceptance is going to look like
and I guess by that I mean both the character and the show
MIRI: I mean that kind of joke may very well be an early part of it
KRIS: I have a hard time picturing a heart-to-heart moment between them, although I could see Wynonna start to do it and then decide Jeremy ruins it by leaning in too eagerly
MIRI: That makes sense. Or she saves his ass sometime and tells him not to get all mushy about it, because they don’t leave family/their people/whatever behind
KRIS: Don’t Make It Weird, Jeremy
MIRI: ❤️ ❤️ ❤️ ❤️
Exactly
Ok, should we talk about the whole demon possession thing?
KRIS: Yes
MIRI: (Meaning the Earp sisters one, not the other family one)
(although that too later)
KRIS: Yeah that’s a whole other category
Gooverly, we hardly knew ye
MIRI: Ok, first off all props to Dominique Provost-Chalkley (which I spelled almost completely right without having to check!) for her acting in this portion of season 2 because DAMN
KRIS: oh I have some good Scrofano tweets saved for this
MIRI: She’s clearly having a lot of fun with the non-waverley moments, while staying totally true to the character the rest of the time
Excellent, please share them
KRIS: https://twitter.com/MelanieScrofano/status/880974392624369664
https://twitter.com/MelanieScrofano/status/880990800213147649
MIRI: Those are both amazing and accurate
KRIS: And of course this short thread: https://twitter.com/MelanieScrofano/status/880975020880691200
MIRI: 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
KRIS: So it took me a second but I think Waverly was Gooverly from the moment she ran into Cujo in the hall before singing, to until she grew her hand back, yeah?
MIRI: Hmmmmmmmm I think so? I initially thought she reverted some while she and Wynonna were talking about the potential possession while tied up, but the lack of memory afterwards suggests it was all Gooverly
(did not know Gooverly was a thing, btw)
KRIS: Yeah it’s too bad Waverly missed Wynonna calling Siri a stupid bitch
MIRI: I loved that gag
KRIS: Thank Tumblr, as always, for Gooverly
I did see a funny tweet where after Emily Andras was like “I love this!” someone was like STAY OFF TUMBLR ANDRAS IT GIVES US ANXIETY IF WE KNOW YOU’RE WATCHING
MIRI: HAhahahahahahahahhahah that is fair and valid
KRIS: Also: https://twitter.com/eneiman/status/880980692448018432
MIRI: OH MY GODDDDDDDDD
OH MY GOD OHMY GOD
Also this: https://twitter.com/melaniescrofano/status/880985275622723584
KRIS: Lot of A+ gif replies there
MIRI: So true
Seriously, weird moment
Great Wynonna faces though
KRIS: Always
Sorry readers, where were we?
Right, demonic possession
Goonona!
MIRI: Hahhahahahahahha
It’s cute that you act like this isn’t what we do in general
But yes, Goononna!
I think she’s going to end up fighting back just as much, but it’ll take her longer to
She’ll give in on the little things more easily, but when it comes down to potentially hurting her loved ones, you know Wynonna beats Goononna
KRIS: Oh what if it’s Jeremy who ends up finding the fix?
MIRI: That would make sense
KRIS: I don’t know if that’s where it’s going but I do think it’ll come down to the team saving her at least 50%
MIRI: Yeah, team effort
KRIS: If only because it means a Waverly hero arc
MIRI: But Wy’s part of it all is going to be fighting back For Love
Yes, I like Waves as a hero!
KRIS: I feel like we might have some comic beats of Wynonna fucking shit up and everyone’s just like “oh, that’s more or less normal, maybe she’s just having a bad day”
MIRI: Ohhhhhhh you’re so right
KRIS: I like that I can see a lot of different versions of the team figuring it out
MIRI: Yeah, it really is a well built ensemble
KRIS: Like I could see Doc and Dolls going to each other like, hey this is weird
Or I could see Nedley spotting it
MIRI: Ooh, Nedley!
Nicole would also make sense, since she’s been picking up the vibe from Waves
KRIS: Or Lucado learning it and then immediately dying
MIRI: YES
Although I am liking her as a character more
KRIS: everyone start your Lucado Life Expectancy Clocks now
I do like her
as a character
MIRI: I bet we get another good Wynonna Being Drunk and Making Bad Choices scene/montage next episode
KRIS: Yeah, and depending on how bad the choices, that seems like a possible entry point for the No-Longer-Reluctant Bromance to realizing something is wrong
MIRI: OMG the NLR Bromance was on point this episode
Like, they are just doing to shippers’ jobs for them at this point. I anticipate many gifsets in the near future
KRIS: Emily Andras seems like one of those people who absolutely cackles while she’s writing
MIRI: I actually really like that they’re not combative anymore and that they can have mutual respect and caring.
I 100% believe that she does
And once again let me say how much I want to be her when I grow up
KRIS: I went to a Writers’ Panel podcast recording in the fall that had a few former Buffy writers on it, and when the host asked who actually enjoyed writing, Jane Espenson was one of like three panelists out of twelve who raised their hands
And Marti Noxon was like, oh you’d be walking down the hall and you’d hear Jane giggling in her office at her own dialogue
MIRI: Jane Espenson was the first writer I realized I wanted to be! I have such a clear writer crush type!
KRIS: And I definitely think Andras is that person in the Wynonna room
MIRI: I got her autograph (twice) at DragonCon my senior year of undergrad
KRIS: I hope No-Longer-Reluctant Bromance doesn’t turn into a combative love triangle
MIRI: I really really hope so too
KRIS: Doc does seem to be conscientious about staying on his Make Good Choices wagon
MIRI: They seem to be doing a nice job of Circumstances Keep Them Apart for Wy and Dolls this season, though of course that can only work for so long
Yeah, Doc and Chemist (is it Rosita?)’s little almost kiss was well played
Imagine trying to establish healthy boundaries in this group. Oy
KRIS: Ah, yes, it is Rosita
MIRI: Ok, back to Goononna for a moment--I think we finally get an answer to Is Waverly and Earp? through this, or at least they’re setting it up so make it seem that way
KRIS: Which scene in particular?
MIRI: At the end, when Wynonna drops Peacemaker
They used it as a demon detector well this ep, and then that’s a powerful moment
So if Wy can’t use it--or even touch it--it potentially falls to Waverly to kill some sort of demon. And then we see if the gun will shoot for her or not
KRIS: Okay, yeah
Oh, when Dolls handed Wynnona Peacemaker it kind of reminded me of that moment in Fury Road when Max gives Furiosa the rifle
MIRI: nice
KRIS: Not really a similar beat emotionally but still
MIRI: This is a show that does well on the details
Like Waves’ nail polish on the hands
KRIS: I definitely did not pick up on nail polish details
MIRI: Shocking 😉
She had nail polish on, and then the regrown hand didn’t, so it was a nice visual clue that Gooverly was lying
And thus that she could in fact be Gooverly when the eyes weren’t black
KRIS: oh nice
Okay, so MRA villain and his Poor Faceless Sisters and whatever Doc let out of that crate in Black Badge
Which I now think could very well have NOT been deliberate?
MIRI: I fucking love you. “MRA villain and his Poor Faceless Sisters” omg
Is there a connection between them and what Doc let out? I may have missed that
But yes, let’s talk about the sinister siblings
KRIS: I think the Woman/Women in Black that have been skulking around since 202 are what he let out
MIRI: Ohhhhhhhhhhhhh I did not put that together
interesting
KRIS: from the clothes and hands
MIRI: Yeah, that makes sense
wait, are they the ones wearing the sisters’ faces, do you think?
KRIS: I think so
Now I’m trying to remember if they were ever haunting Wynonna at the homestead
Like are they tied to that family [the Gardners] somehow or did that family just turn out to be a convenient way to get at Wynonna?
MIRI: I don’t think so. I think it just comes up because she smells the perfume there
Not sure about that
I think it’s just convenient
Unless they aren’t what Doc released and they came out of the abandoned school basement seal
KRIS: Or maybe it was one in the crate and one under the seal?
MIRI: Oh, could be!
KRIS: Because I was wondering why there were suddenly two
MIRI: And if it is them, why was one being Willa? Unless one actually is her?
Or it’s just to fuck with Wynonna
KRIS: Hmm
Maybe something to do with Earp women?
MIRI: Oh, could be. And it would be cool since we mostly hear about Earp men otherwise
Were those gross no-face bodies the actual sisters? I’m very concerned because I’m not sure if those cool/freaky jawline scars mean that’s where the demons or whatever climbed into the sisters’ bodies, or if they simply sewed the sisters’ faces onto theirs.
KRIS: I was pretty sure they just took their faces, yeah
MIRI: Blech
I mean, either is gross, obviously
KRIS: Yeah they’re definitely leaning into the horror angle
MIRI: Yeah, that’s not my favorite bit
Have you seen the ep 5 sneak peak?
Because EW
KRIS: No
MIRI:
youtube
KRIS: Oh she is having fun
And so is art department
MIRI: Emily Andras or Melanie Scrofano?
And yes, they are
KRIS: Scrofano
But always Andras, I’m sure
MIRI: Yeah, I think it’ll be an intense ep
Looks like they’re not going to drag out everyone else finding out very long
KRIS: I’m glad
MIRI: Maybe one more episode, but no more than that definitely
Agreed!
KRIS: Doppelgänger stories have always stressed me out kind of irrationally
MIRI: Really?
KRIS: as far back as the 1992 Power Rangers
MIRI: Do tell
KRIS: I don’t know why exactly
I think I dislike characters even temporarily believing that their friends would be cruel to them
MIRI: Ahhhh, that makes sense
Did Gooverly stress you out?
I guess she wasn’t being mean much
KRIS: Weirdly not much
Maybe because Nicole caught on so quickly?
Or because it just wasn’t the A-story?
MIRI: Or because she was herself enough of the time?
KRIS: I guess
MIRI: I wish MRA villain [Tucker] had been possessed instead of his sister [Mercedes] who we had gotten to know a bit. I liked her
KRIS: Yeah! I wanted more scenes with her and Wynonna
MIRI: However I’m sure he’s going to die horribly, so that’ll be nice
Yes, their dynamic was good! Especially with the whole Willa thing
KRIS: I hope it’s Nicole who gets to at least arrest him
MIRI: YES
KRIS: I guess preferably he gets possessed or something and then she gets to blow him up
MIRI: Also good, but it being “normal police work” might be satisfying too
KRIS: Ohhhh, yeah
MIRI: Nedley’s defense of the normal cop duties worked really nicely for me
KRIS: It did, but the best version of that story involves Nicole/us getting to know more residents of Purgatory and I’m not sure the show has time for that
MIRI: Hmmmm good point
I think it’s a good justification for keeping her a secondary member of the team, if they had to make that choice in order to bring Jeremy and Rosita in too
KRIS: Yeah I think they’ll find the right balance
But even though I’m not really a fanfic reader I hope someone out there is doing some What Nicole Does Offscreen stories
MIRI: I have not gone looking for any Wynonna fanfic, but I feel sure that this exists
Also, did you ever read the road to Purgatory blog??
KRIS: I did not
MIRI: OMG
Ahhhhhh!!!!
KRIS: As in Wynonna on her bus trip home before the pilot?
MIRI: It’s a secret tumblr easter egg type thing
No, it’s Nicole’s early days in Purgatory!
KRIS: Ohhhhh
I can see her as the journaling type
And not so much Wynonna
I have some miscellaneous 103 notes and a couple of Andras tweets but I’m running out of thoughts for this one
MIRI: Hit me with the miscellaneous! That’s the advantage of the every few episodes check in, we can be as random as we need to be
KRIS: Some favorite lines:
Nicole: “Forget it.” Wynonna: “I think we both know I won’t.”
Doc: “I’ll get my vapors.”
Wynonna: “Lions and tigers and bears, oh shit.”
MIRI: All excellent
KRIS: My other 102-3 thing was that I’ve mentioned before that sometimes Wynonna’s cheese level goes a little too high for me; part of this is that I’m not much of a slo-mo guy
And Wynonna Earp loves its slo-mo
MIRI: Are you referring to the cheerleading slo-mo or battle slo-mo?
KRIS: Like dramatic walk slo-mo
MIRI: I’m a total sucker for it
KRIS: I was okay with Wynonna’s slo-mo middle finger after beating up a bunch of high schoolers
MIRI: hahahahahah you would be
KRIS: But when it’s played straight (I feel like I should add “so to speak” in the context of this show) it’s a little much for me
Just wanted to get that off my chest
MIRI: hahahahahahhahahahahah “so to speak”
I feel like Emily Andras would approve of that
KRIS: It’s not like four needle drops an episode but it’s a thing for me
MIRI: You’re entitled to your things
KRIS: Although slo-mo in fight scenes I generally approve of, if only because the industry is still recovering from everyone trying to copy Paul Greengrass’s shaky-cam 50-edits-a-second style of shooting fight scenes
MIRI: I’m 100% here for a dramatic, goo-covered slo-mo walk while they swing weapons, and I’m ok with that
hahahahah too true
KRIS: Thank the gods for John Wick
I think that’s all I had?
MIRI: (I CAN’T WAIT FOR ATOMIC BLONDE)
KRIS: Oh Andras tweets
https://twitter.com/emtothea/status/880976816609034241
And of course: https://twitter.com/emtothea/status/880980791572000768
MIRI: I have a few little things too--love that they’re carrying the Doc’s hat mourning on
KRIS: (I recommend that Earpers who like other Western things watch Justified if they haven’t already; an episode of the first season is called “Hatless”)
Liked Dolls reacting to his hatlessness
MIRI: You look shorter without a hat
Sidebar: Readers, Kris is a hat guy. This is why the hat stuff means so much to him. Tragically, I have yet to see him in a cowboy hat. I’ll let you know if it ever happens
K: It has now happened, not in real life but in photographic evidence
KRIS: I have lost two or three “outback” style hats
MIRI: Also, DPC’s singing voice is AMAZING and between the cheerleading thing and the song I think they’re trying to kill us all
Ok, any last Wynonna thoughts? Predictions for the rest of the seasons? Fears? outlandish dreams?
KRIS: I mostly just want to see Dolls breathe fire at more things
MIRI: That is an excellent goal
KRIS: And just general rooting for Nicole
MIRI: I bet we don’t get that much more because of the VFX budget, but I don’t know how much fire costs
KRIS: Definitely hoping for more No-Longer-Reluctant Bromance (how do you portmanteau Doc and Dolls?), and I trust this show not to go too far the way Supergirl did with spotlighting Mon-El
A few hours after this chat I searched Tumblr for “Hollidolls” and that didn’t turn up anything. I feel like Hollidolls should happen. Help me out, Earpers.
How about you?
MIRI: Agreed with all of the above!
I think we’ll se a little more of Jeremy as a person, not just a Black Badge dude
Maybe even a dramatic Make Your Choice type thing
And I hope Wynonna having shot Willa will be addressed, not just allowed to fade away. (Gooverly’s line this past ep suggests that it will)
And I hope that we get an answer to Waverley’s Earp status
Ok, I think that’s it for me
KRIS: Until next time, readers: Way cool with a side of habanero!
Oh my god
That’s the cheesiest exit I’ve ever done
MIRI: hahahahahha
KRIS: It’s the exclamation point, isn’t it
MIRI: You realize you have to include the critique of the exit in the exit now, right?
KRIS: or the fact that I’m not Melanie Scrofano
obviously
MIRI:
help now I’m caught in a gif spiral of how great her faces are
sorry not sorry for this
KRIS: Melanie Scrofano, International Treasure
No promises, but we’ll try to be back around episode 7. In the meantime, you can follow us on Twitter, where Kris retweets a lot of culture critics, screenwriters, and actors.

The 10 Best Moments of “Wynonna Earp” Season 2 Episode 7
Before we get into this recap, can I get a “hell yeah” for the Season Three renewal of Wynonna Earp?! This show is so deserving of another season, and the fans that tirelessly campaigned for it, you are true cinnamon rolls. I know I often draw parallels between Wynonna Earp and Buffy the Vampire Slayer (and I’m not alone) but this season very much feels like when Buffy came into its own in Season 3. It wasn’t about fighting monsters so much as it was about what it means to be a human being with fears and dreams. The helpless feeling of having no choice, and the crushing pressure of being the girl with all the gifts. Giving Wynonna Earp a third season is not only smart, but it’s going to give us another chapter in this show which is quickly becoming as much of a legend to a new generation as Buffy was to the one before it. Ok, I need to move on before I start to cry. (Hold it together, Piccoli!) Here are the ten best moments of “Everybody Knows.” 10. Stache vs stache. It’s hard to compete with Doc Holliday’s bushtastic mustache, but when this Ghost Marshall comes a callin’, it’s a full on war. 9. Pussywillows is revealed. Ok, I’ll admit, I was a tiny bit disappointed that Pussywillows wasn’t actually a lesbian bar, because that’s what I’ve been going with since Emily Andras teased fans with the name a few months back. (There’s that fanfic down the tubes.) But having it be a strip club full of sassy ladies and revenants was pretty cool too. 8. Jeremy’s first stakeout. Jeremy has quickly found his way into my heart, and on to Dolls’ nerves. When Dolls takes Jeremy on a stakeout to keep an eye on the Black Widows he not only spills sunflower seeds all over the floor of the car (vacuums don’t get them all, Jeremy), but he fanboys over Doc and Wynonna. Basically, he’s all of us. 7. Wynonna confesses her one night stand to Waverly. Wooboy, this we knew this wasn’t going to be easy. It practically physically pains Wynonna to admit that Doc might not be the father of the lil’ Earper, but Waverly does her best to swallow her concerns and support her sis. That’s why these two are the best. 6. Waverly lays down the law. There’s just something about a pocket-sized bi lady reading you the riot act. She might be mad, but you’re still her sweetie pie. 5. We meet possible Daddy #2. Oh man, I had a feeling this was coming and it still hit me like a ton of bricks. One night stand guy Jonas is a revenant, and kind of a dick too. The glee he took in possibly impregnating the Earp heir was nauseating, and I can’t say I was too sorry (or surprised) when Wynonna sent him back to hell. 4. Dolls saving Doc. Bass Reeves was about to execute Doc for the crime of being, well, Doc, until Dolls stepped in and defended his begrudging friend. When he put the pieces together that he was negotiating with his idol, he smiled like a little kid and saved the day. All in a day’s work, Marshall Dolls. 3. A Revenant Baby!? Aaaaaaand here we have it folks. The pieces are falling into place, especially with Waverly’s doubts about her own Earpness. Before Wynonna dispatched of Jonas, he told her that an Earp/Revenant hybrid had happened only once before, or so the rumors say. Could that be Waverly? What’s going on? Hold me, Officer Haught! 2. We are family. So what do you say to your sister when she’s had to kill the possible-father-of-her-maybe-demonish child? That she’s a damn superhero and she’s not alone. The scenes between these two couldn’t be more satisfying or heart-wrenching. 1. Drunk Nicole. Kat Barrell is a funny lady, and she’s really getting to show off those chops this season. She gets to be a swoonworthy crush object, and an awkward goober all in the same episode. Drunk Nicole wasn’t a caricature. She was authentically, adorably drunk and not gonna lie, that’s pretty much how I am when I’m drunk. See you at the strip mall Tiki bar in Vegas 2018! What were your favorite moments from “Everybody Knows”? Ps I loved this Spaghetti Western WE poster so much by Ally Baldwin Designs, that I had to pick one up. Check it out. http://dlvr.it/PYfzyK

Not sure if it's too late for you to answer but: Wynonna Earp
my all-time ultimate fave character: oh no this is so hard. Gonna have to say Wynonna though
a character I didn’t used to like but now do: Gus, she was so mean in the beginning
a character I used to like but now don’t: Willa
a character I’m indifferent about: Doc
a character who deserved better: the Blacksmith!!!
a ship I’ve never been able to get into: WynDoc
a ship I’ve never been able to get over: WayHaught
a cute, low-key ship: I don’t think I have one here? Wynonna/that lady from the pilot
an unpopular ship but I still enjoyed it: Wynaught fake dating situations are gold, if that counts?
a ship that was totally wrong and never should have happened: remember when we met ‘Eve’ and everybody was shipping her with Wynonna before the end revealed she was Willa? that was hilarious to watch
my favourite storyline/moment: Waverly being a bit of a bi disaster was fun, also every Earp sisters moment, but particularly the one by the shed? Waverly hurt, but joking about playing piano, and Wynonna kissing her forehead and holding her- actually also the Wynonna and Nicole interactions in 1x07, I think, where they’re getting drunk together and Nicole grabs Wynonna by the belt to pull her back? I died
a storyline that never should have been written: I really really wish they hadn’t killed the Blacksmith, there was so much more to explore with her - also, as a fandom thing and not an in-show thing, the whole ‘oblivious Wynonna’ meme was...bad and really aggravating
my first thoughts on the show: again, I kept seeing gifs because of wlw tumblr and it was by Emily Andras, who was one of the main forces behind Lost Girl and important to building the Bo & Kenzi dynamic, so I figured it wouldn’t hurt me after a shitty year in wlw tv and gave it a shot, got hooked instantly
my thoughts now: they put the sisters at the heart of the show, let Wynonna be a beautiful mess who’s funny and broken and still strong and kickass (Mel’s interview about this is still one of the best things I’ve seen), and they put a lesbian in a bullet-proof vest. they did that before the BYG trope spiralled like it did, they just knew of it already and wanted to give a fuck you to the trope, and then, and this is why Emily Andras cemented herself as a creator I’d follow anywhere, she saw what was happening, knew how many fans were hurt by the rise in the BYG trope, and came forward and spoiled her show by revealing that no, the lesbian would not die. and that was a major thing to spoil because of the fact that Nicole got shot, and then it went to commercial break, so that was clearly meant to be a suspenseful moment, but she cared about her audience and understood their suffering, rather than belittling it the way some creators did, and I admire her endlessly for the ways she treats her fans
#ask memes#wynonna earp#whoops i rambled about emily#i love her so much#she's like. my version of joss whedon?#i'll watch any project she does#she grows with the times#she's already shown that#Anon#asks#reply

Wynonna and Waverly get Body Swap. Wayhaught was having make-out time then suddenly Wynonna soul switch with Waverly's (Wynonna interrupt 2.0). Wynonna scream and freak out scare the hell out of Nicole. Waverly wake up drunk or with Alice (you can choose the time line is before or after the 4x12).
ok let's fast forward and Wynonna and Doc are back with Alice
so one day Wayhaught was casually making out in their bedroom
and Wynonna was in the barn with Alice
all was good until suddenly Waverly and Wynonna soul's swapped
now Wynonna is in Waverly's body and Waverly is in Wynonna's body
like Wynonna is screaming and Nicole is so confused about it
and Waverly is hugging Alice
Waverly runs in with Alice and Wynonna runs down to the kitchen
and they starts freaking out, Nicole and Alice are both confused on what is happening
after the Earps calm down they explain that their souls swapped
Nicole's first reaction was like gross I basically kissed my best friend and apologies, which Waverly accepts bc it's not her fault
Alice is still confused and is holding onto Nicole, who just picked her up
(side note the Earps love Alice's love for Nicole and vice versa)
Nicole calls Jeremy to see if he can help and she calls Doc to update the situation
Jeremy is doing research while Waverly is also doing some
but it's funny to see Waverly in Wynonna's body doing it
as well Waverly and Wynonna struggled bc they were not used to the height difference
anyways it took a bit but they were able to find a solution
Jeremy basically speeds over to the Homestead with Nedley
and they do the chant or whatever and the souls go back
Waverly hugs Nicole and kisses her while Wynonna hugs Alice
and all is good but Nicole still teases the Earp sisters bc it was funny as hell

Waverly getting really drunk and giggly and Nicole thinking it’s the cutest thing
the Earps rarely get drunk but when they do it’s very interesting
one day Waverly and Wynonna were having a sister bonding night at the Homestead
and Wynonna got Waverly hella drunk, which is very rare for both of them
so at the end of the night, Wynonna went back to the barn and Nicole was with Waverly
at this point, Waverly was hella drunk and giggly
and she was trying to flirt and talk to Nicole
who thought it was hella cute how Waverly was acting and she never saw her like this before tbh
Waverly start telling Nicole how pretty she is or how much she loved her
Nicole couldn't contain her smile as she looked at Waverly
during this time Nicole got Waverly to their bedroom to get ready for bed
but Waverly kept trying to flirt and tell her how much she loved her
Nicole thought this was so cute bc, of course, Waverly acted like this
but lbr Nicole is like this when she is drunk
anyways Waverly was making puns of Nicole’s last name and making bad pick up lines to Nicole
finally, Nicole Waverly to go to bed and sleep
the next morning Wynonna and Nicole teased Waverly about this
and she blushed about it but she was not ashamed bc she also think it’s funny

Nicole having to watch over and attempt to keep a drunk Waverly (this was probably Wynonna’s doing) out of trouble. Shenanigans ensue.
We all know that the Earps have an extremely high tolerance for alcohol
like an extremely high tolerance
but one day Wynonna decided that she and Waverly need a sister bonding night before the wedding
which at first everyone thought was super cute
so Nicole agreed so she and Rachel went to the city or something for the night
at this point, Wynonna got Waverly super drunk and this never happens
like the night started out normal until Wynonna thought it’ll be fun to play a drinking game with Waverly
Finally, when Nicole and Rachel come back they notice that Wynonna is kinda drunk but Waverly is extremely drunk
and this is the first time they saw her like this
honestly, they don't know what to do
so they somehow managed to get Wynonna into bed as Waverly just chilled on the couch or something
when Wynonna finally fell asleep Nicole and Rachel had to deal with Waverly
which was kinda funny bc she is usually never like this
like Waverly was very touchy and super talkative
she would say things like “Rachel I know Nicole is your mom but she’s my daddy”
or “Sheriff Haught I’ll show you how good my riding skills are”
sometimes she’ll mutter how good a mom Nicole is
Which made both Nicole and Rachel blush
getting Waverly ready for bed was much harder than Wynonna, Waverly could not stop touching Nicole
like would not stop, it got to a point where Rachel had to help carry Waverly bc Nicole had so much trouble changing her
anyways finally Nicole and Rachel got Wavelry into her PJ and into the bed
which took them an hour to do, at this point Waverly would not let Nicole leave the bed or the room
so Rachel had awkwardly leave before she saw too much
the next morning Waverly nor Wynonna remember the night before
Rachel was tempted to tell them but Nicole stopped her, knowing that it was for the best
