the video NCTmentary EP3. Empathy is literally about how the dreamies are conected to each other thru dreams. and theres a scene where jisung says "last night i had a dream"

and then we get jaemin saying he had the same dream as jisung and that he thinks he was "lured by something" and felt like he was "wrapped in smoke", which is interesting because the other dreamies talk about how they think they saw each other in their dreams but none of them say they were actually there or lured by something (none of the other dreamies shared a dream with jisung, just jaemin).

also !! when the members talk about the dreams they had about each other they are together in reality, but jisung is the only one thats alone on a room writing about it on his diary instead of actually talking to someone (another member or the camera).

when jaemin talks about his dream with jisung, jisung is also not there, and the scene we see of them together are the scenes of the dream (theyre wrapped in smoke). so jisung is never seen with the members in the real word.

and then on EP.4 Synchronization of Dreams is when we get this scene

the full scene shows jisung entering the room, the rest of the dreamies were already there watching the tv not moving at all.

on DREAM LOOP : The Last Midnight #1, jisung is the only member that immeditely assumes theyre trapped on a dream, with little to no proof, he just remembers (and we see someone kept a diary, im sure it was him, again) and he's the one to tell the members "i think we're locked in here"

on EP5. Back to the Reality, they explain to us that reality is "a world with limits" and so the dream lab was "created to break these limits in reality". they also say one of the stages they can reach its called "dream in a dream" where "the dream can influence reality".

now we get kun telling us about a dream he had where he saw a door and we get these scenes:

which is something we ALSO get to see on EP3. Empathy, while hes writing about his dream on his diary (he's the only member ever shown by the door):

and when the narrator explains how to come back to reality they show a bit of jisungs dream with the smoke but this time is on reverse, as in deleting all their progress.

NOW all of those are actual canon events on the nct universe so whats the theory.

theres a lot of versions of the same thing but they all conclude the same: jisung doesnt want the members to leave this imaginary realm/time loop/dream theyre trapped in.

why ? the main theories ive seen are:

-the dreamies are not real and jisung made them up as imaginary friends but this dream in a dream state that can influence reality made them lowkey real ?? but they dont exist in the real word so to leave the dream world would mean to lose them.

-the dreamies died and jisung has them trapped on a loop where they dont get to ever die. jisung can come in and out of the loop/dream but the members cant.

in every version of the dream in which the members are aware that theyre trapped, they want to leave. either because they don't know what would happen if they do or because they just want jisung to let go and get to have a real life without them.

at the end of DREAM LOOP : The Last Midnight #2, the members solve all the puzzles to get out of the loop correctly but right after they leave the dream world thru the door the day starts again with jisung saying theyre trapped on a loop.

this implies jisung is succesfully controling the realities where the members exist and that even if he reveals to the dreamies that they are trapped in a dream, they still wont be able to leave.

so jisung is using the dream lab to break the limits of reality by keeping the members trapped because they wouldnt exists if not for this.

and then i think all the different universes we've been seeing the members go thru as 7DREAM (like all the chapters of DREAM-VERSE or Production : Stranger Seven) are realities jisung is making up to keep the members together forever, but it probably gets more and more difficult each time.

maybe we get to see them scape this comeback ?? i mean its literally called [DREAM( )SCAPE].................

In Your Dreams | Eddie Munson X Fem!Reader

Summary: You seem to be unable to keep your boyfriend out of your subconscious. Leading to some wild dreams in which you keep written in a journal.

This is loosely based on an idea I had for my own dreams. On occasion I had several dreams featuring my significant other and found it odd but interesting. So, why not use it to create something fun and lighthearted.

The forest floor was surprisingly damp beneath your feet, droplets of dew dripped from the leaves. Rays of sunshine poked theigh the treetops and warmed your skin. In the distance a rumble of steps could be heard. You take shelter in the bushes and vines, because much like most creatures you were a sacred part of its being.

Being a fae the responsibility of caring for and communicating with was imperative. Maintaining the balance between humans and the mythical was a task unlike any other.

Humans were greedy, power hungry, and unforgiving. Of course, that's only what is told. Now seeing them up close is life-changing.

"Shall we take shelter here, my liege?" One of the men, all seemingly gathered along in a lone, had spoken up. The supposed leader, the black mare in front, hopped off his ride, grunting as his boots hit the ground.

"I should say so." He nods. Dressed from head to toe in armor, minus the leather boots. His long dark curls cascaded down from his head flowing with the wind. From your hiding spot you make out more than just his form. "This clearing makes for a good camp, perhaps we may continue in the morning?" He had these soft brown eyes and expertly crafted face, he was the prettiest human you'd ever seen. Not that you had seen much of them in the forest, they saw it as dark and mysterious.

Over time you had learned both his name and title. Sir Eddie, one of the bravest knights to come out of Saint Hawkins. He's led countless of his men towards victory against the much darker forces outside the castle. The outskirts of the forest even your kind dare not venture into. Eddie had been sent out on scouting missions before, but this was the first time you noticed he was alone.

Eddie quickly snapped the small book shut and took a deep breath. "Holy shit.." He sighs, chest puffing out and shoulders slumping. He looks over at your sleeping form, the way your lips twitch up into a smile and the soft breaths as your whisked away into your dream land. He hadn't meant to discover your 'Dream Journal', it was by complete mistake, stumbling upon it when going through the drawers looking for a pair of sweatpants when he found it.

To say it was flattering was one thing. To him he felt honored, that your mind would still think about him while asleep, not many nights he was able to dream such vivid things less remember them. He tucks the book back underneath the folded clothes and shuts the drawer. He'll just have to keep checking up on you and your dreams.

The very next morning you awake to an empty bed. Eddie had already gone for work, it was often early he'd be called in and it was truly sad.

Yet he always made time for you in and out each day. Today was nothing new, as you threw back the blankets and turned to climb out of bed you noticed a card on the nightstand. Smiling forming as you reach out to grab the card and open it.

I saw how peaceful you looked sleeping so I couldn't be bothered to wake you up and say bye. So I wrote this note instead. I hope you slept well and had sweet dreams, I made you some pancakes before I left they just need to be heated up. Thanks for looking out for me as always, Angel.

I view nightmares as living on a continuum, with one characteristic on the more intense side of the scale being sleep paralysis. Linda Yael Schiller discusses two types of sleep paralysis in her book PTSDreams, freezing which occurs within the dream state and the "waking phenomenon" which occurs upon waking from a nightmare.

As a child, I would consistently experience the waking phenomenon, typically I would wake up terrified and want to scream for help but when I opened my mouth no words would come out. The cause of these nightmares I attribute to watching movies too mature for my age, after my sexual trauma I began experiencing sleep paralysis within the dream state (only recognized as such now).

My most frequent PTSD nightmares entails me running from an unknown man with an enormous sense that he had the intention to rape me. No matter how fast or how much I run in the dream I would move nowhere, I scream and nothing comes out, the distance between us never shortened. On the worst dreams I may be caught to wake up, or be caught to get away and run in place once more. I'm just realizing while typing this that while I ran, even though I wasn't moving the dream scenery would change.. I know there must be meaning in each location. I just never realized it before.

To my recollection, my worst nightmare occurred when these two types of sleep paralysis occurred at the same time. I can remember it clear as day, I took a nap on the couch in my parents living room and fell into a nightmare. In the dream I could see myself lying on the couch with a scary man standing above me, I had a strong sense he was going to hurt me but couldn't move my body. I would then start to fall in and out of consciousness, one minute feeling my eyes squeezed shut and doing everything in my power to try and open them. I may open them for one blink and the BOOM slammed shut and swept back into the terrifying dream world I had created, watching as this man stood over my body every inch of my body screaming to run. Typing this out now, it feels good that the dream feels more of a memory, right after the dream when I would recall it in my mind i would feel a strong pull, as if my body was back in the dream.

Has anyone else experienced both type of paralysis at the same time?
