Trans aroace scar means so much to me. And I know I say this a lot but I mean it so genuinely.

There's not much of an array of movies or shows to pick from if I want to see good trans representatioans there's even less I'd say when it comes to aroace characters.

And it's just so incredibly frustrating.

Like if I wanted a straight romance? I have hundreds of movies to pick from.

If I wanted a gay romance story? I have tens of movies to pick from.

If I want an aroace character or a trans character? If I want a good trans rep that doesn't necessarily fit into the "standard" and "normal"???

What movies and shows do I get? Where do I get a show where my favorite character is a trans man who doesn't get top surgery and who doesn't wear a binder. Where will I get the aroace rep where the character doesn't get "fixed" or anything.

I know there is media with good trans rep and maybe even aroace rep but anytime I do see something mentioned I kinda just. I kinda just don't care? Because it's not my cup of tea. It's not the story I want to see these characters in. And it's so sad and frustrating at times.

So idk just being able to make my own rep? It feels so nice....

there's something i just find so uniquely tragic about emily prentiss. never stayed in one place for long from childhood, got pregnant age 15 because of a deep-seated need to fit in with her peers, felt isolated from her family, has had religious trauma from childhood, then worked in one of the most high intensity careers in the world, experiencing events brutal enough that she doesn't flinch at the goriest crime scenes and practising how to pick herself apart and remould herself for deep cover assignments. she loses her closest childhood friend. and just when she finally feels comfortable at the bau with the people she now considers family, her past comes back to haunt her and she's put through hell, losing even more old friends, then being cut off almost completely from everyone for months as she tries to put her pieces back together. despite her best efforts, despite how much she clearly loves everyone at the bau, of course she ends up leaving for interpol at the end of s7. she never stood a chance.
