OK so I've been thinking about human DID!12 a lot and I decided to watch an interview with a couple DID systems for research and it gave me ideas.

I've decided Tiid (the dragon alter) is Basil's protector which is a common type of alter. They're pretty much exactly what they sound like, an alter identity who acts as the guardian or caretaker for other members of the system.

Tiid will front or copilot with other alters a lot if Basil or any other alters are stressed or uncomfortable. Hell copilot in the background to sorta provide comfort to whoever is fronting

Basils system like to refer to themselves as plural but they dont mind being called singular when referring to whoever is fronting

Their alter identities are real to them and they want to be respected as real beings with independent thoughts and feelings

I think alter!O would have a sorta rivalry with alter!missy over music taste. Like O loves breakcore and rap but missy thinks it's way too loud and obnoxious

So sometimes when O is fronting and enjoying some breakcore missy will occasionally try to force front to turn it off and it becomes an internal argument which Tiid has to break up

It initially was pretty scary for Basil and alter!11 having their host body being literally fought over but tiid being the wise dad he is has managed to bring O and missy's fights to a minimum

I'm thinking of making up some other original character alters for DID!12

I think basil would have a hyperfixation on skyrim and DND so many of his alters would be fictional or nonhuman

I think one of his alters would be a straight up animal. Like I'm thinking theyd be an elk or something

They're a yearling who fronts very rarely, they only really appear when hes been very stressed or hes outside in nature for a long time

I'm trying to get used to the way did systems describe how their identities work cus I know that it's wrong and very rude to identify them by like "oh which is the *real* one"

I think Basil is the host (or the identity that fronts the most often) and he acts just like 12 with some minor changes that primarily express his autism more

Like I said before tiid tends to integrate a lot but he also fully fronts the second most often

Missy and O tend to front pretty equally often and 11 fronts a little less often than them

11 is like a little that also is an adult. He has a classic childlike spirit and he gets positively triggered by things like toys and sweets and goofy hats

11 just calls himself 11 in this au cus I'm lazy lol

I wanna gush about Tiid a bit cus I'm having a lot of fun with him hehehe

So although the host body is human, whenever tiid fronts he actually sees his body as a dragon. Like he can see his tail and wings

Although dragons are huge naturally, tiid just sees his body as a human sized dragon. He walks bipedal but he does like walking on all fours occasionally (like in the short scene I wrote hehe)

Tiid will constantly keep his arms bent and tucked to his torso like a dragon tucks in their wings cus its comfortable for him.

If Tiid happens to front towards nighttime he will rearrange their bed into a nest of pillows and blankets.

I like to think dragons act a lot like cats so hed also have a habit of kneading the pillows as he preps his bed

He also acts like a cat in that he cleans and grooms himself a lot. He may not have fur to groom but he has to dust off his scales and groom his claws. He likes rubbing his face and head like a cat

Sometimes when hes bored hell also start playing with his tail. Like hell roll on his back and dangle the tip of his tail in the air while he swats at it

Tiid, and the system in general, are quite affectionate with their friends. Sometimes when bill is chilling doing work or whatever, tiid will rest his head on hers or her shoulder and just have this content smile. Sometimes hell sit on the floor next to her while she works and rest his head on her lap while she rubs his head

Its completely platonic, hes just very physically affectionate and likes giving his friends little reminders that he loves them :3

Also just for fun, he is attracted by laser pointers. Bill found this out and took complete advantage of it for weeks. She still gets a huge kick out of watching him chase it around

I understand the appeal of writer!Jason Todd while he’s the Redhood but I don’t think YOU understand the appeal of writer!Jason while he’s a pre-teen Robin. That young man writes a field report like it’s a mystery novel, and like what is Bruce even supposed to say “Hey, chum… while the pacing of the report was very intriguing, I need you to be LESS detailed about the color of the suspects ‘emerald green orbs.’” No, he won’t!! because Jason may be a bit annoying but it’s a vast improvement from Dick “What happens with the titans is between me, god, and the emergency room on 34th ave.” Grayson who used to just write “fixed it :)” on cases he completed.

Columbo and the Knight (1984)

put me in the universe where Columbo ran through the 1980s and had a crossover episode with Knight Rider. I think they deserved it, and I am not just saying that because they're my two favorite Old Shows. @telebeast wrote a little fanfic blurb about it and I HAD to visualize it into a comic (which is also the longest comic I have finished thus far at five pages...), so writing credit goes to them.

Ok so I'm making a human au with a friend where a bunch of dw characters are disabled and I contributed 12 having autism and DID. I dont have DID but I'm very interested in learning about it which I've decided to channel thru my writing. I wanted to try writing a short scene where 12 (also called Basil in this au) has one of his alters front and how they behave. For some context the alter I showed in this is a skyrim dragon named Tiidkellok, or Tiid for short (Btw yes, people with DID can have fictional and nonhuman alters, including dragons from skyrim). Tiid is a character I made up for fun and I wanted to also play around with his personality in this. So here you go I guess.

Warning it's very rough around the edges and purely written for my enjoyment so dont expect Shakespeare lol.

By the way I decided to include some dovazhul in this so here are the translations if you're curious: Fahdon = friend/companion, Nahlot = silence

Basil laughed and had to catch his balance before he dropped his water bottle. Bill playfully slapped him on the arm as she caught her breath from her own fit of giggles. Suddenly though Basil stopped in his tracks and his face fell from a gleeful grin to a blank thousand yard stare. Bill halted as well knowing full well what was happening.

"Uh oh," she gently touched his arm and spoke in a soft tone, "Basil? You there?"

Slowly he blinked and seemed to regain consciousness.

"W-... Where am I?" His voice noticeably changed to one that was deeper and rougher, almost growling.

"Hey, it's me Bill. Who am I speaking to?" She continued to speak in a gentle tone.

"Yes, I recognize you. I'm Tiid. Where are we?"

"We were walking on the street after some coffee, we're just down the road from our apartment."

Tiid looked around slowly, tucking his arms to his chest.

"Oh, I know this place, yes. Are you hungry, fahdon? I was thinking we could get something to eat, I could certainly eat something myself," he gradually relaxed his shoulders.

"Oh, sure! I was just going to ask Basil that before, well, you popped in to say hi," she smiled, "how about we get some thai this time? I've had a craving for something spicy recently."

"I don't believe I've tried that, although I'm feeling quite adventurous today."

So they went off to a local Thai restaurant that Bill raved to Tiid about on the walk there. They ordered takeout and made their way back home, but not without a small reminder of Tiid's nonhumanity.

As they walked and chatted Tiid suddenly stopped and stared at something in the distance. His gaze was locked like a hunter taking aim at a stag.

"Whatcha lookin at?" Bill asked with a laugh.

"Nahlot, fahdon." He whispered low and quick.

He began to slowly walk towards a tree next to the entrance of their apartment, his knees bent like he was sneaking up on something. He then crouched and carefully looked behind the tree before pouncing on whatever was there. However it seems he didnt get a good grip on it because a stray cat ran away from behind the tree leaving Tiid on the ground. He huffed and swore under his breath in Dovah as he got up and flared his coat to shake off the dirt, like a chicken fluffing its feathers. He shook his head like a dog, dislodging the dirt in his hair.

Behind him Bill stood shaking her head with an amused smile.

"Was he encroaching on your territory?" She teased as she helped dust him off.

"Yes actually, he was quite rude about it too. Mischievous creatures, felines." He scowled in the cats direction.

"Alright, well you dont need to worry about him anymore. Come on, let's go home and eat."

I've drawn him a couple of times, just really little/in the background. but I should draw him more, I love this guy a lot! I have many, many thoughts about him and the way he parallels Silver...and also I think it is extremely funny that his ghost is stuck in a ring. especially considering where that ring has been for the last 16-ish years.

hi i thought too long and hard about this. then i made a silly comic about it which quickly got derailed into another silly bit. and then it kept getting longer and more terrible

i don't know whether you're the same person as the original anon or not but im gonna freakin cry either way. is this my legacy...

on one hand this ask gave me lots of motivation for some reason, so thank you for that, but on the other hand it motivated me to draw a 6 page comic about robot STIs.

Ratchet: No and no. Has HAD STIs before. When he was younger. True across continuities except... in TFA he would have an STI. I can see it.

Ironhide: Yes carfucking, but I feel like the carfuckin was also a one time thing specifically. No STI. To quote my notes: "Frag no, Chromia or Ratch woukd kill him". Typo included.

Jazz: Yes carfucking, no STI because if he got one he'd be on top of treatment. Originally there was a bit in the comic with Jazz and Prowl arguing about which is worse: fuckin a car or havin a STI but it got cut because its already like 6 pages

Prowl: No carfucking and yes STI. He thinks carfucking is Really Weird. Wait. Purely off of vibes because I still haven't watched ES (someday...) but ES!Prowl would fuck a car.

Optimus: Who else do you think gave Megatron the STI? (/j /j... unless?) Carfucking and STI status varies wildly across continuities imo. G1? Yes and yes. IDW... depends on what point in time. I feel like its a yes to both but not at the same time. TFA would not fuck a car but he definitely has an STI. TFP! and ES! OP is a mystery to me, you guys can tell me if you have strong opinions on them. Hm. Armada OP would fuck a car.

Sideswipe: originally it WAS going to be him in the comic but as I mentioned, it got derailed. He'd absolutely give a car an STI.

Wheeljack/Trailbreaker/Hot Rod: Yeah, probably both. Maybe not at the same time though. Hot Rod was only so low on Prowls list because hes Literally Offworld but who knows what hes capable of.

Yes to carfucking, no STI: Lets see... Bumblebee, Cliffjumper (despite Prowl and Ironhide's assumption in the comic, THIS is my actual opinion lmao), I think Mirage would as well, but he'd vehemently deny it. Also *leans in close to the mic* Elita-1 would fuck a car. But she'd do it and it'd be like. Cool.

No to carfucking, yes STI: *long pause as i look into the middle distance* mmm...Smokescreen. I don't know much about TFP!Smokescreen but he can get lumped in there too. Sunstreaker as well, but more because he says he didn't fuck a car but he could be lying and you genuinely can't tell if he is. Also Brawn for some reason.

As for other characters elsewhere... Rodimus is a strong contender for giving a car an STI. So is Whirl, but I feel like he's slightly less likely to have an STI, yknow? Only slightly.

Other notable ones I think would have both but NOT at the same time: Swerve, Skids, Drift (specifically because of Rodimus because even if they don't fuck they seem like the type of friends who share drinks), I think First Aid fits in here too, and is the only medic who would have an STI that I can think of off the top of my head. Oh also Armada!Jetfire.

I also think that the Aerialbots are all contenders for this category too. Some more than others but it wouldn't matter because they all end up with an STI and it's miserable.

ALSO...

The alternate punchline to the comic, had it been set on the Lost Light, is... a meeting (in which the general consensus is that Rodimus fucked the car that mysteriously appeared on the Lost Light, AND he gave it an STI)

Then, Nightbeat bursts in with Brainstorm in tow, and he reveals that it was in fact Brainstorm's fault- NOT because he fucked the car (he's far more interested in er... lab equipment, lets say) BUT he made a gun that fucks cars, and accidentally gave the GUN a STI

ALSO SIDEBURN FROM TF:RID (2001). he would ABSOLUTELY fuck a car and give it an STI. He canonically loves red sportscars and you KNOW that mans got an STI.
