Bsd AU where Rimbaud and Verlaine didn't get to the lab in time and N managed to make Chuuya a weapon
Bsd AU where "Arahabaki", an 10 y/o kid, is sent to eliminate Japan's enemies in the Great War.
Bsd AU where Rimbaud and Verlaine are sent on the front so they stop Arahabaki from killing everyone.
Bsd AU where Chuuya uses Corruption to eliminate his country's enemies until he can't take anymore and passes out.
Bsd AU where Verlaine and Rimbaud are searching all over the war camps to find a little kid that's seen as a weapon.
Bsd AU where an 11 y/o Yosano finda a little kid lost amongst soldiers. The kid is hurt so she heals him. He never leaves her side again, too scared of getting hurt, too scared to be taken back to the lab.
Bsd AU where the Great War ended and Japan was on the winning side and Mori figured out who or what Chuuya was and wanted to have him.
Bsd AU where Chuuya and Yosano are put in confinement for their crimes during the war even though they won the war for their country. And they even have to be separated.
Bsd AU where Chuuya lost everything, family, safety, trust, friends, and N finds him and takes him back, proud of his work.
Bsd AU where after Fukuzawa defeats Mori and saves Yosano, the little girl tells him someone else needs to be saved.
Bsd AU where Chuuya escapes by himself from the lab and finds the Sheep. He doesn't trust them, everything is temporary. But he can’t help it. He gets attached and joins them.
Bsd AU where Verlaine and Rimbaud return to France thinking Arahabaki must've died but Verlaine can't accept it.
Bsd AU where after the Sheep betrays Chuuya he doesn't join the Mafia for them. It's not worth it. But Dazai doesn't kill them. He's too shocked Chuuya didn't made the choice he expected.
Bsd AU where after Chuuya leaves the Sheep he's found by Fukuzawa and gets reunited with his friend.
Bsd AU where Chuuya becomes a member of the Agency when he was 15 and felt pretty much happy since then.
Bsd AU where Chuuya and Murase have a father-son relationship because this time they can.
Bsd AU where Chuuya has friends that don't use him and that won't leave him, here in the Agency.
Bsd AU where years later Dazai joins the Agency and he's faced with the boy he couldn't predict.
Bsd AU where Chuuya is happy and goes drinking with Yosano and they accidentally get to a Mafia's bar but the people there, some dudes calling themselves the Flags, are chill and they bond.
Bsd AU where The Assassin King randomly sees some news from Japan about a detective and he realizes that's Arahabaki, no. Chuuya. And he feels bad he couldn't help him but he's also happy that Chuuya's not in pain anymore.
Bsd AU where at the beginning Chuuya can't trust Dazai but they end up working too good together not to.
Bsd AU where Chuuya accidentally meets Shirase and he (Shirase) apologizes for what he did to Chuuya. It's hard, but Chuuya forgives him and the Sheep.
Bsd AU where Chuuya is working on a case with the Europole and he has to work with some AI detective, Adam. Turns out the robot is cool and they become friends.
Bsd AU where Chuuya doesn't question his humanity, where Chuuya's friends are alive and he can see them all.
(Does this make sense? Prolly not, partially because English isn't my first language. Does it have plot holes? Definitely. Did it feel angsty when I wrote it? Yep. Be honest, am I delulu?? )

October 1966. You can't keep a dead butler down. About two years after killing off Alfred the butler in 1964, editor Julius Schwartz was faced with a problem: William Dozier, the producer of the forthcoming Batman TV show, wanted to include Alfred in the show, and wanted him reintroduced into the comics as well! Schwartz and writer Gardner Fox struggled with this challenge and finally came up with the utterly preposterous story presented in the issue above.
Even for a Silver Age Gardner Fox comic book, this story is exceptionally convoluted, so it's best considered chronologically. We begin with a flashback sequence involving iconoclastic "all-around scientific genius" Brandon "Plot Device" Crawford:
Tumblr media
This is already straining credulity a little because the story in DETECTIVE COMICS #328 in which Alfred died (helpfully recapped elsewhere in this issue) showed that he had been crushed to death by a giant boulder. That did not seem survivable at all, and even if it were, this would imply that neither Batman and Robin nor whatever doctor who filled out Alfred's death certificate nor the mortician noticed that he wasn't actually dead! Anyway …
Tumblr media
So, Alfred wasn't actually dead, he wasn't embalmed, and he was buried in a refrigerated coffin (that's what the purple cylinders in the last panel previous page were for). A stretch, but we'll allow it. However, upon discovering this, Crawford, instead of calling an ambulance like a normal person, seizes on the opportunity to do some Frankenstein shit with Alfred's maimed, broken, mostly dead body, as one does (if one is a reclusive "radical individualist" who dropped out of college to pursue unorthodox, dubiously ethical scientific experiments, I guess).
One of the initial objects of Schwartz's tenure had been to rid the Batman books of the fantastical aliens, monsters, and bizarre transformations of the 1957–1963 period in favor of something a little more grounded. All that goes out the window here, despite the rather defensive editorial footnote, which says:
EDITOR'S NOTE: Physics professor Robert Ettinger, author of "The Prospect of Immortality," has said that death can only be defined in relative terms. He points to the hundreds of persons revived after drowning, asphyxiation, electrocution, and heart attack. "Biological death depends not only on the state of the body," Ettinger says, "but also on the state of medical art!"
Okay, then. On to the Frankenstein shit:
Tumblr media
So, Crawford's experimental cell regeneration machine has restored Alfred's broken body, but in the process transformed him into an unrecognizable, rather hideous-looking being who is also evil. Check! The regeneration effect we see Crawford panicking about then transforms him so that he looks like Alfred, while leaving him in "a catatonic trance." The Outsider, rather ungratefully, puts Crawford's unconscious body back in Alfred's coffin to cover his tracks, and uses Crawford's various machines and his own "increased mental power" in his new quest to destroy Batman and Robin.
This was not the first appearance of the Outsider, who had actually been hounding the Dynamic Duo on and off since DETECTIVE COMICS #334 two years earlier, although he had never appeared on-panel, and his identity had been a mystery. Where Schwartz originally intended to take that plotline is not clear (Schwartz's own account doesn't say, and Gardner Fox said later that he didn't think Schwartz had a solution in mind at the outset), but it doesn't seem likely that revealing the Outsider as Alfred was the plan, particularly since subsequent Outsider stories had shown that the villain had superhuman powers, including the ability to bring inanimate objects to life! In this story, the Outsider really does transform Robin into a wooden coffin, as the cover indicates — it's not a hypnotic illusion or some other such dodge. Fortunately, the effect is reversed after the villain is defeated:
Tumblr media
Batman's determination to keep these events secret from Alfred is bizarre, since Alfred's death is a matter of public record: As seen in DETECTIVE COMICS #328, Bruce Wayne started a charitable foundation in Alfred's name, with its own building in Gotham City! Batman suggests that they can rename the charity the Wayne Foundation (as of course they subsequently did), but how he expects to resolve the various problems created by Alfred having been legally dead for months without his finding out is unclear. They do take the time to retrieve Crawford (who has miraculously not suffocated or starved to death in Alfred's coffin) and use his machine to return him to normal, after which Batman suggests that Bruce Wayne will give Crawford a job at the renamed foundation.
If you're wondering, "Wait, does this mean Alfred now had super-powers?" the answer is yes! Since he didn't retain any conscious memory of his death and resurrection, he was normally unaware of this, but Alfred's evil Outsider personality resurfaced several times, and he sometimes spontaneously reverted to the Outsider's form, in which he once again had supernatural abilities:
Tumblr media
Notice the background, with the buildings burning like candles? The Outsider did that with his mental powers, along with a bunch of less grandiose but equally impossible feats. Fortunately, they reverted to normal after he split into separate good (Alfred) and evil (Outsider) selves and defeated himself. The Outsider resurfaced once more in 1985, battling the Outsiders and nearly killing Superman by transforming the Batcave's giant penny into Green Kryptonite.
I guess this whole saga did resolve the problem of resurrecting Alfred for the TV show, but in what I think can fairly be called the most ludicrous way possible. (And you thought the PENNYWORTH show spun out of GOTHAM was silly …)

I have a theory for season 6
First thing first, the background: The whole DOA's plan. From the purpose that pushed Fukuchi to do that: massive war in the future that killed millions of people all around the world, more severe than Great War which ended 15 years ago (before the main storyline). Then fueled as well by the hate to corrupted people in the government body who caused those issues. Therefore he tried to combine all armies in the world under one command leader, Army of Mankind to mitigate the future war. Therefore, a strong current incident/terror should be made in order to make the United Nations realize how important that thing is. And as Fukuchi confirmed, the proposal of DOA's plan came from Fyodor, which means he told Fyodor about the massive future war.
Now here several scattered info from Stormbringer novel apply in: The future big war Fukuchi mentioned is probably a singularity war. The Great War (the beginning of several major issues in BungoSD) as confirmed in Stormbringer novel, European countries competed to create singularity to be a weapon. Why singularity? Because, only singularity has enough energy to harm the world. Ability alone is considered as not harmful as it can't raze the world on its own because one of the ability principles: Ability has an output ceiling. This output ceiling doesn't exist in singularity (more about this in Stormbringer)
Three major powers during the Great War: England, France, and Germany competed to achieve that goal.Germany found a theoretical way to create a powerful singularity (not the normal clashing ability way as singularity from this method has limited energy, it'll run out). Then a rebel scientist in France managed to be the first one to realize that theoretical plan into reality. He created the first singularity that can be weaponized from the theory Germany found, yes, the birth of Guivre singularity (Paul Verlaine). Germany then stole the research file, shared it to their ally: Japan and another singularity was born: Arahabaki (Chuuya). Hearing German + Japan's success in creating singularity that has enough energy to destroy the world, France tried to steal Chuuya (that time was still 7 y.o.) from the lab in Japan. But the plan failed and that destructive Arahabaki incident happened. Soon after that, Great War ended with a ceasefire signed by France, Germany, England (as confirmed in 55 Minutes about the ceasefire process)
Now you might have realized which one amongst the three major powers during the Great War didn't have singularity (from that method) as a weapon. Yes, England. Tho they created the Shell (by H.G.Wells, first mention in 55 Minutes) and One Order. The Shell vs the new singularity: The Shell energy itself caused massive annihilation, a singularity effect, but fun fact, the energy was not enough to destroy Guivre singularity, instead it made Guivre stronger
Now, combine those things together with facts in Season 5. All of us witnessed that entity at the end of Season 5, right? Based on info in Stormbringer, that entity high probability is a singularity from Fukuchi's ability created from the same concept as Guivre (Verlaine) and Arahabaki (Chuuya) creation. Yes, few rare people in the world can create powerful singularity with near-UNLIMITED amounts of energy just by using their own ability. These people are called having "self-contradicting ability". Chuuya's original ability that created his singularity is "ability to amplify other abilities". Does it ring a bell? Yes, Fukuchi's ability is ability to amplify the effectiveness of any object he uses as a weapon, so theoretically Fukuchi is one amongst the special people. Full process about creating the singularity in Stormbringer
Now the question, why did that entity suddenly appear? Here is the crazy part of my coping theory: Another bigger and powerful party is involved. Huh? Yes. [Note: This is just me connecting the dots so I might be wrong] Remember which major power country doesn't have the singularity weapon during the Great War? Yes, England. What if England was behind this? Why? Remember we've seen Fyodor, Fitzgerald, and Agatha Christie (from the Order of the Clock Tower of England) were on call a long time ago in the manga. So, they know each other. Remember again who proposed the plan to Fukuchi? Fyodor. What is Fyodor's ultimate goal as mentioned the first time during the Cannibalism arc? Remove the sinners (ability users). So, what if the appearance of Fukuchi's singularity was planned so England can capture it (somehow) to be their weapon?
Now, add another thing from Stormbringer, Verlaine ,Chuuya's older brother who is also currently one of the 5 executives of Port Mafia, mentioned the Storm that will happen in the future. The only time Verlaine will appear again to give his assistance What is the Storm? He never gives specific explanations. This doesn't end here because Verlaine too has connection with the Order of Clock Tower, well... more to he caused an issue to them Verlaine destroyed the Order of the Clock Tower's credibility beyond repair as he easily killed 3 members of the Order and assassinated the Queen (glad the Order used body double) during her coronation. So, what if the other purpose of England doing this was to restore that? other than to obtain a powerful weapon (a singularity).
This also might somehow explain about why Fyodor can easily believe Chuuya was under control. Well, we don't know Meursault Prison's location, but it might be in France (as Meursault is a real location in France). Remember the thing France did during Great War? They tried to steal Chuuya from Japan. Now with Chuuya destroyed Meursault prison, France has strong reason to capture him. Plus Fyodor specifically targeted Chuuya to appear there. Remember when Nikokai asked him whether he wanted to change item? Fyodor basically said no need as he had assistance already (Chuuya).
I also think adam might come back or might save chuuya if he ends up being captured
but yeah this is all i have

May or may not have made some edits for Yakou for my Rain Code swap au-
I was originally gonna do more characters (that had designs, because not all of them are designed yet) but then thought “nah I’ll just do ones for Yakou for now then do other Sprite edits if anyone actually likes this set)
(Also putting under the cut if you’re someone who doesn’t like Sprite edits, which honestly that’s your cup of tea I don’t judge I just personally find them neat to see and make)

Death smoke cloud Alt of those two above:

(Come on man Yakou is a smoker and do you really think I’mma change that in the au? Way too perfect of an opportunity to use it)
Also normal eyes (for the human form) alts for Yakou:
(The ones with dead/zombie eyes are the canon version, I’d just thought it’d be fun to make alts with normal eyes)
