Me: Ok it’s time to work on something productive!!

My brain: ok but what if we didn’t do that actually *develops crossover and writes a spin-off AU with details down to the mechanics of each animatronic*

Anyway what if Mystery Skulls DCA crossover?

Close-ups and more info under the cut bc I’m brainrotting real hard about this:

So with this crossover (AU??) the story is mostly the same as the Mystery Skulls animated series, but with a few changes.

The gang all worked together in theater production; Sun and Moon were performers just like in canon SB, while Y/N and mini djmm were behind the scenes, doing tech, organizing events, etc. However, the crew also loved to go exploring, and Y/N, being heavily interested in the paranormal, usually led “investigations” into haunted locations. This was all for funsies and frankly, the boys just had fun going out and observing.

One night they go to an abandoned cave and get separated, and due to a… malfunction… in Sunny’s arm, he pushes Moon off a nearby cliff, tearing the poor bot to shreds. But! Whatever force that amplified the glitch in Sun also allowed for Moon’s will to stay alive and wrath to seek revenge on sun to strengthen, and eventually revive his sentient ai, piecing himself back together as best he can, with the rest of him materializing into a new body. Eventually, Djmm finds Sun and rips his infected arm from his socket, which brings Sun back to reality.

Sun doesn’t remember any of this except for Djmm tearing his arm away, and Y/N barely remembers Moon at all. In fact, all they know is Sun had a theater partner once, but one day they just vanished. Sun… doesn’t like to talk about it. He grows depressed, long after he gets repaired, and soon after stops performing to look for Moon full-time.

When he realized Y/N didn’t remember anything, he was conflicted. Confused. But once he realized he couldn’t seem to jog their memory, he kind of kept the events a secret from them. Not for his sake, no, but because he knew Y/N would blame themselves if they ever found out one of their silly escapades resulted in the death of someone so dear to them all.

Also for those interested, yes I designed Djmm with Mystery’s transformation in mind, here are some chicken scratch sketches I saved while I was figuring out their look:

Have a art dump from yesterday since it was my last day of school yesterday and now I am on summer vacay (sunny boy is a dca ripoff my friend made randomly and I love him very much hehe) and dont take the last moon seriously ofc he's just a little in the clouds (⁠.⁠ ⁠❛⁠ ⁠ᴗ⁠ ⁠❛⁠.⁠)

Aus I will be working on:

Celestial tide extravaganza- moon and sun are in charge of a water park and they find yn who is a merperson woahh, and the guys keep them there by pretending like they're a new mermaid attraction that helps out(this au wont have any lore it is only for shenanigans (⁠人⁠ ⁠•͈⁠ᴗ⁠•͈⁠))

Shattered shadows at bay- sun and moon are cryptic(?) like entities that took over a discarded animatronic body (the regular dca body) and they integrated themselves into society, working at a daycare! Since they don't need to charge they stay awake at all times and they don't necessarily have anything they do during their free time so they start a series of killings that only target at people that harm children and they meet yn who is a frequent parent at their daycare and the three quickly become friends! Each having secrets of their own ofc (⁠｡⁠•̀⁠ᴗ⁠-⁠)⁠✧

Starlights galore- sun and moon are performers for the faz co company, eclipse ran away from the company which led to faz making sun and moon. Yn was tasked to decommission the pair by a unknown source and masks themselves as a prop/costume designer + handler for the boys!(They have a strict deadline of a year) Sun and moon are aware there is someone trying to deactivate them so they are trying their best to escape from the company like their older model did so they can pursue personal passions and live a life of peace. Maybe their new friend can help them with their escape plan!(⁠✯⁠ᴗ⁠✯⁠)

I need to read up more on Stardust Arcade but man I l o v e Novas design. You did a wonderful job with them!!

Thank you! I will say I enjoy his palette quite a bit. Even though it was a pain to fish out. His design is actually based on his old concept. The Tsams lunar eclipse hybrid. Although arcade Nova has really grown into it better. My favorite thing about him is his whole backward DCA design. Makes me smile even though I forget it all the time.

Hopefully you'll have time to read up on Stardust Arcade sometime. The ask series is always there. And hopefully whenever I get the motivation. I will condense all those asks into a little story on archive. But that all comes later.

also, extra pieces of information that I thought would be cool; Sunna's eyes, bracelet, and belt change colors with their lives. (although I think for red life I'll give them a black belt instead since the skirt's already red) Their locket, on the other hand, shows what life Meno is on! It turns gray immediately after this scene ^_^

the ribbon also shows their lives. the yellow being Sunna's life color and red being Meno's.

also !! since Meno was the one to wither away (if I'm remembering correctly LOL), I gave them the black patterns as a sort of scar from the death.

UWAAAAA THIS IS AWESOME YIPPEE YIPPEE YAYYY, they look so cool <3 I LOVE the colour changing thingies. It's also fun to see a version of Meno with red, because the first design of Meno actually had red on them. I couldn't get it to look right, so I left out any red. Cool to see now

now these two have a bit of a complicated thing going on :P they used to be normal attendants, but there was an accident and they got all weird

Bloodmoon is kinda delusional, and acts as if he is some kind of royalty. hes a weird little freak and an asshole. True eclipse is very spacey and often doesn’t know whats going on around him, but does whatever Bloodmoon says without question .

he may not show it much, but Bloodmoon is very worried about True, and is constantly fussing over him when theyre alone

True is also almost completely mute, but when he does speak its only when hes alone with Bloodmoon. this is still very rare tho

Undertale started it all I was an anime kid before that

Cup head hit me right in the head and directed me to a more cartoony path that I’ll probably be dying on

Stick figure fandom taught me dynamic poses(and drawing ball faces but that’s not really a positive aspect in the long run XD)

Selling adopts taught me character design

Edds world… made hoodies my default clothing to draw :’)

Rottmnt had some crazy talented artists at the time I learned a lot about colors and shape language

Was in the Animaniacs fandom for a while, it made my style even more cartoony more rubberhose

Learned my lineart from comic books specifically the IDW tmnt series Jennika special I adore that art I was reading it under microscope

🌛- Do you prefer the DCA in your AU to be biblically accurate or blorbofied?

Oooh that's a hard one, actually. I think it really depends on a lot of factors—I think having them blorbofied makes it a LOT easier to handwave things, but Biblically Accurate is a FUN challenge since they’re so limited on ways they can express emotions outside of tone and body language.

I think in all the AUs I partake in and the couple I’ve thought up I prefer the blorbo style, but for The Color of Your Eyes (TCoYE) I will likely stick with Biblically Accurate for a good while since I love the restrictions it brings—and one huge theme for that AU/story is how love and affection is expressed in a multitude of ways (both to the self and to others), especially when the reader discovers that they are not quite as human as they once thought :)

The reader is the manager of the Superstar Daycare and has been working there for as long as they can remember! Their first job, in fact, though it’s odd that they don’t seem to recognize other people who have also been there for years… huh, that’s a little odd, isn’t it? Well, at least Sun and Moon really enjoy your company c:

Star-Crossed by @solar-synapse is a beautiful AU that I will never suggest enough of tbh, if you want a wild ride and some excellent character writing then check it out!

Abyssal Lights by @phoenixdaneko is a classic Mer AU with a neat twist—the reader is a mer themselves! Phoenix does a lovely job in pulling you into the events and I’m always weak to Mer AUs (there’s also several other fics by her and they are EXCELLENT so definitely peek around when you’re done)

The Personal Care Unit series by @justaduckarts is so cute and adorable where Sun and Moon are personal caretakers for the reader and it’s so fucking cute. The link is to what is already posted—smut, but delicious smut—but I’d definitely subscribe to the AO3 to be alerted for more!

Oh oh and I also must mention Lost in the Astral Seas by @cosmicfleurs, it’s another Mer AU but the designs for the boys are so good and I’m not sure if there’s a fic yet for it (please correct me bc I must read it immediately) but I absolutely suggest taking a peek at those gorgeous designs and giving a follow!!

Also, because I hate the number 4 and also bc it’s a team effort, the Digimon AU between myself, @solar-synapse, @armoondrop and @phoenixdaneko is just so much fun—in the planning stage mostly, but I just wanted to shout you guys out for this awesome concept c:

F-35A fighter officially certified to launch the B61-12 nuclear bomb

The F-35A Lightning II poacher has been officially certified to carry and launch the B61-12 gravitational thermonuclear bomb.

The certification was achieved on October 12, 2023, surpassing the original date of January 2024. This certification applies exclusively to the F-35A model and does not cover the F-35B and F-35C variants, which are designed for short takeoff and vertical landing and aircraft carrier launch, respectively.

According to a report on the Breaking Defense website, a spokesman for the F-35 Joint Program Office confirmed the milestone, highlighting a significant advance in the aircraft's capabilities. However, the details regarding the deployment of F-35A jets in Europe remain undisclosed, since the U.S. Air Force has not yet answered the questions on the subject.

The B61-12 represents the latest update of the B61 series of nuclear bombs, which was first put into service in 1968. The first updated pump production unit was completed in November 2021. This version is intended to replace three older variants of B61 ammunition, specifically the B61-3, B61-4 and B61-7 models, as part of the modernization efforts.

A USAF spokesman additionally told the Breaking Defense website that “the B61-12 is compatible with any DCA [dual-capacity aircraft] certified F-35” and that the set of fighters upgrades collectively known as Block 4 is not a requirement to use the weapon.

The F-15E was previously the first American fighter compatible with the B61-12. Three other groups of fighters - F-16A/Bs, F-16C/Ds and the PA-200 Tornado used by some NATO countries - are also allowed to carry nuclear weapons.

The U.S. Air Force also operates the B-2, a long-range stealth bomber with nuclear capability that began operational use of the B61-12 in December 2023. It is also advancing rapidly with the production of its successor, the B-21 Raider, which first flew last November. In addition, the service previously operated F-117 Nighthawk jets capable of launching B61 nuclear weapons. But the F-117 was never really a fighter, despite the 'F' in its designation, because it could only drop bombs and had no air-to-air capacity.

In addition, although the U.S. Air Force has long operated conventional F-15E and F-16 fighters with the necessary "N wiring" to employ nuclear weapons, the F-35A is the first poacher equipped as such.

Unlike the F-22 Raptor, the oldest U.S. Air Force, oriented to air-to-air combat, the F-35A always intended to assume the tactical nuclear attack capability of the F-16 fighters it was supposed to replace. However, the implementation of this capability - with the wiring and data links needed to use the advanced features of the new B61-12 nuclear gravity bomb - has been associated with an extensive (and highly expensive) upgrade program known as Block 4.

The certification award means that the development and testing of the capacity of the B61-12 are finally completed and considered satisfactory after "more than 10 years of intense effort", according to Goemaere.

Dual-capacity aircraft serve as another deterrent, along with the traditional nuclear triad of bombers, submarines and ICBMs launched on the ground, and are seen by European nations as a key part of preventing Russian aggression. The nuclear capacity of the Joint Strike Fighter arises at a critical moment for NATO, in the middle of the war in Ukraine and the Russian nuclear saber, in particular.

alchemy and robotics au!!!!!

mmmmmmkay hi :]]] basically this post is my dumping grounds for my newest au its only like 11 hours old 🫶 dumping ground under the cut

basics first!!! basically varian from tangled the series makes robots and theyre all dca creatures because the brainrot is so real. also some of the robots are from the sun and moon show (fyi i might not be getting the tsams characters characterized correctly, mostly because i only started getting into the characters n stuff about?? 3 days ago?? so forewarning 👍👍) varian makes most of the robos during the amber period so that influences how he designs a bunch of em!

each robot and basic gist of them time!!!!

solar: first robot varian makes, helps keep his experiments and alchemy/engineering in track, science buddies <33 (nicknames for varian [thank you sunny for these agh <33]) : buddy, var, nerd (/aff, varian would probably retort that solar's also a nerd) )

moon: second robot varian makes, pretty much a feral defense system (he gets his very own spotlight later down the road) (nicknames for varian [thank you sunny for all of the nicknames <33] : vari, starlight)

sun: caretaker and emotional support robot, likes cleaning up the place a bunch (nicknames for varian: vari, sunshine)

earth: second caretaker, who varian accidentally made act similar to rapunzel out of a sense of bitterness (she likes styling and cutting his hair !!) (nicknames for varian: varbear, vari)

lunar: made sometime after the amber melted, not at all sure where to put him since i havent focused on him very much whoops (nicknames for varian: nerd (/aff lmao), var-var, vari)

(ruin) eclipse: also made sometime after the amber melted, nice sweet blorbo who makes for a very nice friend and loves helping around the castle (nicknames for varian: ALSO varbear, probably starlet)

moon is such a creature in this au he is the most creature you will ever creature (he attacks eugene shortly after the amber melted and varian overworks himself so much trying to get the violence out of his code)

at that point in time old corona is still being rebuilt and with the attack and the previous overwhelming guilt that gets added on to by that varian is completely spiraling but trying not to show that around anyone, especially the robots and his dad, hes split between helping rebuilding and recoding moon and taking care of the robots and hes way overworking himself

all of the robots are like varians siblings btw so its quirin and his 7 kids

DCA Info Part 9: Clothing

School Uniforms

As mentioned before, the school uniforms of Diamond Crown Academy are modified to fit the students' liking, with only indicator of their dorm is the color scheme and one of ten gem brooches. Futterwacken students wear custom keys instead of brooches.

Dorm Outfits

The dorm outfits are worn in the dorm living quarters. The outfits, like the school uniforms follow the princess color palette, except this time these outfits have a more 'princess' look. Like ball gowns, frills and laces and all that jazz. Unless it's Dragonstone, Futterwacken, Lagniappe and Sagamore, they don't have the concept of ball gowns due to the culture difference. The dresses are worn during a ball or an assembly that requires them to wear their dorm outfit. Although the students sometimes choose not to wear their dorm outfit when in their respective dorms because of the difficulty in movement. But there are instances such as Classical Dance class that require them to change into dorm outfits for their lessons. Even Basic Etiquette class would have this requirement. Also, the brooches they wear are also present, but just in a different area on the gown. Futterwacken still has the keys though. Much like the school uniforms, the dorm outfits are modified to fit the students' liking and much like the uniforms, the only indicator of their dorm is the outfit's color palette and the gem brooch on their outfit.

Idol Brands and Styling Jewels

(According to Phoenix, there was some Aikatsu influence when it came to the brands. She, however didn't use the brands from the Aikatsu series)

Diamond Crown Academy has sponsors from designer brands that cater to idols. Some of the brands are made by the students or like Ella, the brand is from a company brand. Students of the Glastanzerin dorm usually come up with these student idol brands. But there are some from other dorms who make idol brands for themselves or for their dorm. The brand logos are registered on the school's main building where is a large studio where the brand owners work on their creations. The students have an individual station with enough space to work on their designs. Once a design was finished, they send their work into a large wardrobe that is placed on their station where it will turn it into a rectangular gemstone where you could faintly see the design in it. The gemstone is about 4 inches long and about half an inch in width. The color of the gem is the same color of the princess gem that corresponds to the dorm. These gems are referred to as "Styling Jewels" (スタイリング・ジュエル). The jewels have a rarity indication for the outfits. A plain jewel is a common rarity, a jewel with gold on the corners is a rare, a jewel with gold on all sides with a rose on the top is an premium rare, and a jewel with gold on all sides with a crown on top also counts as a premium rare. When the students graduate, it is their choice whether to pass down their brand to another student or continue and make it a business. But there are those brands who have to be discontinued because the student has graduated from the school.

Outfit Styles

Outfit styles are the themes that cater to the idol's personal taste. There are eight styles in total and brands stick to one style while others have a variety of styles.

Classical - This style represents the traditional clothes worn by European royalty and is based on the typical princess look. The ball gowns and the shiny tiaras are the key features of royalty.

Although this style has some connections with other styles such as Gothic, Elegant and Cute, however, there are key differences between the four Styles is closer to the original traditional clothes with a bit of modern spin but it is minimum at best to still see the design's time period.

The symbol of this style is a Unicorn which is commonly associated with the fairytale aesthetic.

Brands that have Classical Style are: Once Upon a Story, Apple Jewel, Miracle Mirror and Tri-Rosette.

This style may have some semblance with the Classical style but the difference is that Gothic Style uses more dark colors and accessories that are tied into the gothic theme.

The symbol of this style is a Crow which is often the symbol of death or misfortune.

Cultural - This style is based on the different aspects of tradition and culture, such as the Middle Eastern, Asian, and other countries with traditional clothing. The use of traditional colors and patterns are the key features of this style.

The symbol of this style is a Tiger, an animal known to be seen in different countries.

Cute - This style is based on doll-like outfits often in pastel colors to give off a small and dainty image. An abundance of bows, lace, and ruffles are the key features of childlike.

The symbol of this style is a Teddy Bear, a toy associated with a lot of cute things.

Elegant - This style is based on the mature image of a young woman. Unlike the Classical style, the outfits are based on modern gowns and outfits that accentuate beauty rather than fairytales. The use of mature and bold colors, paired with the chic clothing options are the key features of sophisticated beauty.

The symbol of this style is the Swan, whose imagery is often depicted in ballet as the model of elegance.

Cool - This style is based on the rebellious image of rock and out-of-control imagery. The abundant use of messy patterns, spikes, and leather are the key features of this rock and roll image.

Special Event - Holidays such as Halloween and Christmas, anything that follows a special holiday or event.

Ensembles

Ensembles is the term when referring to outfits and have a variety of designs and rarity, most of them are used for the stage performance but there are also outfits for certain events in the academy.

Ensemble Types

The ensemble has two categories: Event Ensemble and Idol Ensemble. It indicates what purpose the clothes are used for and are strictly for that specific use only. Event ensembles have a heart and crown symbol while the Idol ensembles have a music note symbol. The difference between the two is that the rarity of the Event Ensembles are always Common, because of it has no use for the stage performance. Idol Ensembles on the other hand, have three rarity types, Rare, Ultra Rare and Premium Rare. Depending on the student's idol rank, they may be able to use high rarity cards if their rank is high enough. The Idol Ensembles are strictly for the stage and it is considered not proper to wear them to events that don't require Idol Ensembles.

The Solo Stage Uniform

The Solo Stage Uniform is worn for concerts where the students are evaluated by their teachers on a performance. Kind of like an exam but you need to dance good to pass. It is also the first coord given to students when they enter the academy. The styling jewel of the coord will be placed in their room where they can see it along with a note. The Solo Stage Uniform's rarity is neutral, meaning that it isn't rare, or common. It's rarity level is non-existent.

Idol Elements

Illusion Appeal - Like Aikatsu's aura but instead of objects floating around the idol, this is actually a space that contains the illusion. The size depends on the magic level and training of the idol. It can range from a small area around the idol to the entire stage.

Ensemble Wings - The wings are not a permanent part of the outfit as it is also part of the Illusion Appeal, it corresponds to the audience's favorability towards the idol. Beginners don't get the wings at all until they train more and gain favorability. The design of the wings correspond to the dorm, all wing designs and colors are the same for all idols. The wings start small, as the idol gains more favorability the wings get bigger and become more detailed.

Parvus - The wings are small and simple, this is a symbol that means the student has gained enough favorability, albeit in a small amount, to rise up from Rank E to Rank D.

Neutrum - The wings become a bit bigger and gain more details and has a sparkle to them, this shows the student's growth in favorability and the rank of these wings signify the Rank C to Rank B

Luxuriosa - The wings are bigger than the person and has a lot of intricate details and have an ethereal glow. These wings are a symbol to represent the highest Rank A with a worldwide favorability, it also displays the magical prowess of the student. Unlike Aikatsu with a variety of wings. It only has one color because Illusion Appeals are like spells, everyone using the same spell will have the same effect, so it would make sense that the wings would look the same too
