Firstly, what inspired you to give the DCA a frozen half mask? I honestly find it to be SUCH a cool design choice and I wanna know your design process! :D

Secondly (DCA related again </3), what’s your interpretation on Eclipse within your universe? Do they exist? Are they a third entity, a combination of Sun and Moon, a security program with no learning AI, or perhaps something else entirely? I’d love to hear your thoughts! (Personally I interpret them as a combination/security program :0!)

Lastly (yes… once more… DCA related…), do you have any fun facts about Sun, Moon, and Chica’s friendship that you’ve been itching to share? Or haven’t gotten the chance to touch on yet? This AU honestly made me grow really attached to the idea of the DCA and Glam Chica being friends! It’s so so SO sweet!

GOLLY HI!!! Sorry, I didn't see this till now! I'm so glad you're enjoying my stuff, thank you!!! I don't have a name for this "AU" since it kinda started as just this series of snippets of the DCA and Chica being besties and then it started bleeding into all the feelings I had about SB's corporate horror subtext and all of the assumptions I'd had about the direction they would take the story after Help Wanted, and now it's kind of a….retelling-slash-one off comics story. If you or anybody else has name ideas for this on-going saga I'd love to hear them so that I could put it all in a dedicated tag! Now that I've got that ramble out of the way I'll answer your questions! (I lied I'm gonna ramble more cuz I'm really good at it ksfdlnlksdfnlksndf)

1) I have a tendency to redesign characters a bit when I make fan art because trying to stay on model to the original design makes my art come out a bit stiff. I'd seen a lot of fan art for the DCA where they had their whole mouth move, but with the way their faces have a "moon" side, it made me think of a Phantom of the Opera mask. Then I heard that in the Pizzaplex books they were apparently a theater robot that was repurposed for the daycare, so I just decided to lean into it! I've been playing with the idea of making the eye holes on Sun and Moon's mask different to mimic the tragedy/comedy masks!

2) Ooooh the security program is an interesting idea!!! So, I don't know how actual programming stuff works. And since I believe that the robots in FNAF have been sentient since Sister Location, meaning that they've been advancing robo sentience in-universe further for years, I tend to play around with the sentience and the programming fighting with each other at times. When it comes to what I think Eclipse is…. I'm actually gonna put that under a spoiler because it's something I've been teasing at and I can't keep story secrets to save my life, so you can look at that answer ~ at your own risk oooOOOooooOOOooo ~ Now. To answer the third point and give you that Eclipse spoiler. I need to add it in a reblog. Because I was writing out this whole thing....and I wrote so much that I hit the text limit. Which I have never done before. Which also freaked Tumblr out and it wouldn't let me post this no matter how much I erased. My OC man guy dude Vincent. He’s changed so much? It’s honestly crazy looking back at old art of him. To think this guy used to have emo hair with a bang over his eye and a shock collar. Wow…. They grow up so fast….. even if he’s an immortal god who was never born, created, or conceived.

Happy New Year also? I now realize how defeatist it must seem that my ‘new years post’ is to a song called ‘LET THE WORLD BURN’ but I promise it’s just because I was inspired. Is it weird to say I’m really happy with how his nose came out? It just looks really cool ok!!! Very structured, like the rest of his face. And oh my god I love his design. I’m so proud of myself.

His hand took way too long to get to a point where I even remotely was ok with it but that’s what happens when you kinda just….. barely draw for 2 months. And get a new iPad that’s a different size to your previous one. Still adjusting to the slightly bigger display. Also that one project I did for the entire month of October made me actually forget what my default pen was for a while! So ig I’m using my lineart pen now. I’m fine with it! I like the pressure sensitivity on it. The previous pen didn’t have that! Plus it’s still textured.

Don’t know how to close off this post tbh. I’m seeing Sonic 3 again. I love that edgy rodent. Pretend this is a profound and satisfying conclusion!

But that’s very sweet to hear! And I’m glad that he is linked to good rps! The last time I wrote for homestuck Vincent was a bit ago so I’m flattered those contain good memories! (Especially because I’ve seen my writing from back then. YIKES! He may have looked better but he was still incredibly edgy lol!)

You might be happy to hear that I’ve been focusing more on Vincent and the story he’s involved with! Oh! Here’s actually a very VERY basic reference for the man himself! It’s a few months old but it’s still useable! (Also I feel I nailed his facial structure here. That was something I used to have issues with years ago. His face shape did not look organic and his nose was often too long! Not in a stylized way. Like it made his mouth look like it was melting off.)

Haha… wouldn’t it be funny if I simply added more Vincent things? Haha… that would be quite silly! Like his voice claim? Haha! …….

3) YAAAAAAY I LOVE SPREADING CHICA PROPOGANDA sldkslkdnflksdnf. This is gonna be a bit long I'm so sorry. I guess this would be more nuances than things I haven't gotten to yet, but I love writing them in a way where they, for lack of a better way to phrase it, make each other better.

Sun and Moon in my comics are two separate people who have to do the same job in wildly different ways. Sun has to constantly watch the kids, entertain them, deescalate their fights or disagreements, deal with the parents, and apparently (going off of how much he frets over it in canon) keep the whole place clean as well. Which might be something about keeping the kids healthy or from tripping over things, but more likely it's so that the Plex doesn't need to delegate any man power/ S.T.A.F.F Bots to clean the place. Moon waits in the wings until nap time, makes sure the kids all stay asleep and don't wander or wake each other, and then at night he has to do security patrols around the whole mall.

There's that line in the cookbook that I saw go around a few times where it said something like "Sun is nice and sweet, everything Moon isn't!" or something like that. Which doesn't make much sense for a caretaker robot (of course, this is FazBear Ent. so it's just to be expected). But I decided to go in the direction of him being a more sarcastic, teasing, tough love kind of personality. The kind where when you're young or when you don't know the person well enough you just feel like their laughing at you, until you either have a genuine conversation about it or you get close enough to realize that it's how they treat their closest friends (speaking from personal experience. Perchance.)

And while Sun and Moon work well together they are also the Only Other Interaction Option that they have outside of the kids. So they would inevitably get on each other's nerves. Sun could take Moon's remarks about how unfair their situation is as jabs at himself, or just be upset over the pessimism. Moon would be annoyed that he can't react how he wants without getting scolded for being rude or not "coming up with a solution." I feel like he'd also not be as confident when interacting with others because of how much time he spends on his own. The kids are asleep when he finally gets to be out in the daycare, then when he goes out into the mall it's to look for intruders and the security are actively being phased out by robots that, possibly, aren't sentient. Meanwhile Sun's interactions are primarily with young children and that probably effects his social skills somehow.

THEN they meet Chica, who has all her own stuff going on. The Glamrocks are the main attractions, they're expected to, made to, and programmed to constantly interact with people of all ages AND do it in the way that a real person would, BUT they also have to do it in a corporate-approved way. And that's for EVERYTHING they do. Chica is supposed to love food and always be hungry, most likely to work as a way to advertise the food….to people who are…in a pizza restaurant. But she has such a strong response to that programming that she's attacking people for their food, and the techs complain about having to clean her, and STILL they not only keep the programming, but they put all the pressure on the staff to "clean up all the trash and don't store any food where she can get it". (Also, because Help Wanted set up that FazEnt is marketing based off of nostalgia for the IN UNIVERSE FNAF GAMES, this could possibly be a reference to how Chica in FNAF 1 would constantly hide out in the kitchen. A few Let's Players would say that she was cooking or grabbing a snack and I think this played into how her character has evolved over the years (both in universe and in ours))

She gets a new voice box, implying she was some kind of back up singer to Freddy or at least the lead female vocalist, and it's so powerful that singing at all HURTS ALL NEARBY ROBOTS INCLUDING HER FRIENDS. So she can't sing anymore. The Glamrock's sentience allows them to break the rules (Monty not showing up for practice, Freddy not telling Vanessa why he was out of his room or that Gregory was with him), but I would assume that having their programs regularly reviewed and/or altered, PLUS the fact that Bonnie's just gone and nobody can talk about him (AND FREDDY IS IN MOURNING SO THEY CAN HAVE AN EMOTIONAL REACTION LIKE GRIEF), All of that would make them a bit hesitant to actively breaking the rules. In Midnight Snack Chica says that she already checked the trash and the kitchen door, because her discomfort was so great she'd rather break the rules than suffer through it until she didn't have the choice.

So now you have a "Nice Girl" with an image to uphold even as her programming is causing her pain, an anxious caretaker who used to be a star (stage performer), and a nocturnal loner who tends to be a bit mean. Firstly, none of them need to keep up their social identities while around each other, which definitely makes them more comfortable. Moon gets to make his jokes and jabs while Chica's nice enough to redirect it, or she might even play off of it or shoot one back. Chica's very sociable and provides them both with someone to talk to who isn't like, 8 or younger. Both of them get to be dramatic and theatrical and Chica is a performer who would not only be able to recognize and appreciate their antics but also join in. Sun get's someone who's nice enough to help him with stuff like cleaning up or winding down, but also will talk about his situation in a way that's more empathetic, and focused on how he deserves better, rather than something like "maybe they stuck you with janitor duty because you keep doing it for free". Oppositely, Moon would start encouraging/inspiring Chica to be a bit more rebellious and/or stand up for herself, or even take more of an assertive role with the other Glamrocks. Sun would as well in more of a support and affirmations type way (Like in Group Dynamic). On the other hand Sun would be less nervous about his tasks because 1, he has a friend he can vent to and get help from, and 2, hey, maybe having one of the Glamrocks as a friend who would be willing to let him call in a favor means he could get one to visit and keep the kids busy for an hour or so. Moon also gets to socialize with somebody who isn't Sun, who doesn't mind and seems to enjoy being physically affectionate with him, and I think that would give him the confidence to soften his edge every so often. I plan on slowly bringing the other Glamrocks into this dynamic as well because character exploration is my Favorite Thing to do with these. I don't know if or when I'll ever make a comic about the actual events of SB, but there's definitely a few lead-up events I want to make comics about. And if I ever did do comic set during SB there's a chance that I would be telling the story in a much. Much. different way. Okay, and now I'm gonna add the Eclipse Spoiler in another reblog because I have no idea how close to the text limit I am. So sorry for this absolutely monstrous wall of text.
