Okay I really felt like exploding mentally not in a good way so putted it out in random little written scenes (bullshitting with canon and fanon because canon is fanon). Prowl and Jazz as main acting characters yesss because apparently I love these boys
_________Intercity training competition_________
The whole audition was so loud with noises despite everyone trying to whisper as quiet as possible. First time in all intercity training competition history, where chosen young mechs from everywhere in Cybertron gather together to find better rising generation of sparks, the bot won all his sparring partners in a row without losing once. Gunrunner with satisfied smile wrote down statistics about this battle. “Mistakes took place, but you give big perspectives with your agility and unpredictability.” Gunrunner already had plans on this rookie once ops group starts running.
Jazz, visibly grasping at air with ventilation at full speed, was smiling in such bright manner, showing his sparking optics behind protective glass. His smile, his reflections from black coating, his figure, still going up and down after all the battles he had – everything in him was so irresistibly refreshing and attractive. This young bot made the audience start whispering again, but on absolutely different topic this time. He still was standing over his opponent, other one was looking at him from bottom to top breathing as deep as other one, leaning on the elbow folds. Young mechs had no hard feelings against each other, everything around them was steaming with happiness over a good battle. Jazz offered his hand and helped him stand up.
“Ya’r very brave to challenge me last but ya fought good, brotha’. Your name?” They shacked hands as a sigh of a friendly and fair battle. “Guzzle. Better to fight and lose than to never fight at all” “Oh, we’r so gonna have a drink at the end of the event!” Jazz squeezed his hand so tightly and laughed so sincerely happy. They walked out of ring shoulder to shoulder. The white and black mech with pointy red chevron, the only thing showing him off the crowd so vividly, was observing all the battles from the balcony. He still couldn’t calm down his spark after what he saw, it was such an incredible and new way of martial arts for him: wild, unpredictable, dexterous, fast and oppressive. Absolute opposite of the clear and refined, gentle manner of his hometown. He couldn't hold back his smile throughout all 10 sparring sessions, periodically jerking his shoulders in surprise, sometimes looking as if into space, trying to calculate something in his head. His brother, clearly shorter than him, tapped at his hand. Only this was able to get older brother out of entrancement he was in. “Brother, calculation simulations will begin soon” ‘Right,’ he answered with only kind look of his eyes. ‘Now my turn.’
______My priority of orders starts from J_______
Prowl, you are not allowed to go out! You stay here! It’s an order!” Prowl’s door wings rose up in in a threatening and irritated manner. He quickly turned his head, narrowing his optics. Sharp, cold blue, freezing. Yet his lips were treacherously clanging. “You are not my commander to give me commands” “Oh, no! I have an order to keep you safe! Order from Optimus Prime itself! Do you not understand how worthy your skills are? You are not allowed to get out of here until it becomes safe, why do you even try to get out of here?” The blue light was getting darker and closer to the security bot who happened to be so unlucky to be the closest to Prowl to get this order. Red chevron towered over this hesitant mech, his knees bent under the pressure of this unbending figure. It was the first time in all his time working here, when he was truly afraid of the tactician. “I was working hand to hand with “Optimus itself” when he was just an officer,” Prowl pressed his finger into the center of the bumper with enough strength to make bot step back. “and I dare you have no right to stand on my way nor Optimus’ orders. Contact him and say that I’ve lost touch with ops, you won’t be dismissed with this explan-“ The loud crash of a broken door was heard behind interrupting him mid-sentence, Prowl stood up and lowered his wings to cover trembling mech in front of him. “Prowl, jump on, I caught signal of Jazz’s location”, there was Silverbolt straight to the help and old Orion’s group protecting main operating station alongside with other autobots. Prowl gave him a pleased smirk, his optics immediately softened (to the relief of security bot), not even thinking much he ran and jumped on top of the aerial, “long time no see, old timer. All unnecessary chatting on our way.”
#*sits down*#Maybe I try out my hand this way to see if I'm really up to writing#At least I really needed more juicies paragraphs and dialogues than in the latest ones. No idea if I'm satisfied but in my brain it lays#better#...Also learning about characters while writing something when searching for info seems more effective....#ANYWAY pfffht I feel so much better after writing these two sillies out#how do I even..?...#writing#?...#cockroachwriting#?.. yeah this is closer since I'm not sure I will use ao3 for writing gah#transformers#maccadam#jazz#prowl#and a few others side characters like Guzzle Bluestreack Gunrunner Silverbolt pfffft#.... *shy coughing*#Jazzprowl#I just love to make more stable way of characters getting each other and jazz and Prowl have such a great opportunity to start their way#from very early days#much earlier than what I saw#Plus earlier years before revolution on Cybertron might have been peaceful enough to make events where they gather sometimes#I'm a sucker for it

A prequel to this: we might get there. maybe. just setup for now
next scene under cut!
Rumble and Frenzy both stiffened instantly. Scrap.
Rumble side-eyed his twin, watching shock dawn to horror on Frenzy’s faceplate.
Jazz.
“Seems the terrible two are taking the party outside!” Jazz was still standing directly behind them, his grin practically audible. Fragger fed off Cassetticon fear. “‘s there a reason you didn’t pay for that engex?”
“Nope,” Rumble responded immediately, turning to face Jazz. The word dragged out, ending with a lilt, as if he was unsure.
Simultaneously, Frenzy launched into a ramble on the spot. “We have special instruction, clearance, from the Prime! He wants energon samples from across the undercity for…”
Rumble picked up the thread as Frenzy trailed off. “Because he wants to try out the local culture! The Op’s so bored of the fancy shmancy energon they keep serve’n him in that palace, so he asked us to bring him some of these commoner…delicacies!”
Jazz exaggeratedly brought a digit to his helm, miming a comm exchange. "Wow! I thought you might've been stealing for yourselves, but if you're stealing for the Prime, it must be fine!” After a beat, he sighed theatrically “OP says he didn’t order any engex, you sure you didn’t get the wrong guy?”
Frenzy was still rooted to the spot, facing the street. :Turn around, dumbaft!: Rumble crackled through to him with comms, :Face that slag-head helm first! It’s too late to run.:
:Idiot, it’s called deniability!:
:What, like you talking to him didn’t give up the jig?:
:I was telling the concrete!:
:It’s too late, flickerbrain, grow some self-respect!:
:What, like how you respect Autobots?:
In one swift movement, Rumble dropped all of the stolen engex he was holding. He hopped in front of Frenzy, snarling, with a fisted servo extended to crack his brother’s stupid visor.
A warm, scarred servo yanked Rumble up by his backplate. Frenzy, who had unsheathed a vibroblade from who-knows-where in retribution, was also bodily hoisted up into the unforgiving air of Kaon’s industrial sector. Jazz’s rictus took on an amused tinge, “Woah there, mechs. It’s my job to keep violence off the streets, you know? You’re makin’ it real easy.”
Rumble wiggled in his grasp, limbs flailing ineffectually, “Then be glad about it, turbofox wannabe!”
Frenzy twisted his helm to attempt to bite Jazz’s servo “Yeah, you’re so great at your job! Now let us go!”
Jazz tilted his head, as if considering. As soon as he moved to speak, Frenzy plowed over whatever he was about to say with an interrogation he had little diplomatic power to execute. “Why the frag are you even here? Low-end neutral bar in the sticks? Does your job require engex overcharge or some slag?”
Rumble fought with renewed vigor, as if Jazz was diverting processing power away from his grip to consider his answer the question. “Yeah! Too scared of fighting a little crime without bein’ drunk?”
“As a matter of fact,” Jazz said blithely, ignoring them, “I was considering letting you miscreants off with a warning and a promise that you’ll give that poor bartender a sparkfelt apology.”
Rumble glared at the underside of Jazz’s helm distrustfully, sending Frenzy a databurst comm, :Liar.:
:No slag.:
Jazz continued on, unruffled, pretending not to be hacking their private comms, “But, y’know…there’s no harm in a little catch-up. I haven’t seen you two since the war!”
“As if it’s over,” Rumble growled. Bitterly.
Jazz’s smile widened, and Rumble realized he kind of fucked up. “Anyway, how’s Sounders doing?”
Frenzy scoffed, crossing his arms while dangling a meter in the air, “Who the frag is Sounders?”
Jazz laughed a little, softly. He lowered Rumble to the ground. The Cassetticon ripped himself out of Jazz’s hold as soon as his pedes hit the cobbled, gritty floor, arm raised defensively. Maybe he was making good on that obvious falsehood from before? It wasn’t like him, at all, there was probably another trick–
Frenzy was still suspended midair. With his now free left servo, Jazz materialized two pairs of miniature stasis cuffs, lightly spinning them between two digits with obscene expertise.
“So, my mechs. Where is Soundwave?”
#transformers#soundwave tf#rumble tf#frenzy tf#jazz tf#RiRFiB (for now)#comic#transformers fic#fanfiction#i don't think i can tag this as jazzwave but the intention is there#yeah rumble definitely calls jazz a furry here#because i draw his sensor horns as ears: my mind is gigantic and everyone should do that#lore background: basically megs defects to work with the autobots and soundwave goes through an earthspark-esque divorce arc#lotta people get jettisoned back to cybertron and are told to rebuild#the more outwardly destructive decepticons get imprisoned#but since the autobots need mechpower to fix the cities and imprisoned decepticons are Not in the business of Working Under Duress#they're mostly banished to backwater areas but allowed a modicum of freedom and are encouraged to find jobs to do#it sucks but dudes like soundwave who dipped the fuck out of the active warzone once megatron frsauce betrayed him are pretty well hidden#jazz is just picking up the strays who have been under the radar for the decade since the end of the war#making sure another revolution doesn't disturb the peace#we'll see how that goes (me too i have no idea where this is going)

Transformers Cyber Revolution AU Explained.
Of course now that I have an AU name and a pretty good understanding of what my AU is going to be like. Let's go back to the very beginning and start off with the 13 Original Primes. I wanted to mix their designs, personalities, abilities, and deaths with TF One, Transformers Prime COP Novel, and a few of my own ideas into my universe. Please ask questions if you're unsure or give me more headcanons ideas for my AU to explain, thank you.
//////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
Prima:
I liked Prima's design in TF One, the white and gold colour scheme gives off the whole leader-like appearance, along with blank white optics and a white battlemask that would appear over his face similar to TFP. I like the idea of the Matrix being attached to the hilt of his Sword (The Star Saber) from the Covenant of Primus book (COP) before it got broken in half after the fight with Unicron, then later the Matrix was used for its own purpose and given to Zeta in the future. His personality just screams stubbornness, he's more focused on his tasks rather than his own team, especially when fighting Unicron when he would always charge over first to finish the God quickly. When it came to him and Megatronus, there was always tension, especially since Megatronus's spark was similar to Unicron's and Prima was quite religious to Primus's beliefs, making them complete opposites. The 2 would always fight and argue until eventually giving each other the silent treatment...safe to say they will never get along. The Star Saber's ability will always stay the same as it was in the TFP Series, I like how powerful it is to cut through a mountain with ease, definitely Prima's favourite choice of weapon. Before the Quintesson war, it was rumoured that Prima had intentionally shot himself, with a note saying that he couldn't do it anymore...
Vector Prime:
I wanted to mix Vector Prime's design a little, I liked the golden look as stated in the COP Novel, but the reddish pink and white colour scheme with blue and gold accents was unique (referring to the comics), along with blank white eyes and a flowing red cape. The cape would have a time-like pattern on it, cogs and wavy lines, it'll be cool for him :D. Finding his personality was a challenge, I've been scrolling through Tumblr randomly, looking at headcanons when I've noticed a pattern, a pattern that Vector would be cheerful, lively, and more friendly. But it would be reasonable to have Vector be a calm soul but more focused than friendly, tho he can be cheerful around a few people he trusts, especially Onyx. You have to remember that controlling space and time takes focus and control, keeping a calm demeanor would be beneficial for him or he would just lose control. Controlling Time and Space to the point you're now a guardian of it sounds awesome, Vector can create Spacebridge portals and control time to rewind forward and backwards but not enough that it would mess up the time continuity, along with controlling cosmics and stars as well in battle. For my AU, Vector would be the second strongest Prime Primus has ever created, I mean controlling space and time? That's pretty powerful in my book. To mention the TF One movie, he would have died to the Quintessons. After noticing the Quintesson ships coming down to Cybertron, Vector tried to fly down to Cybertron to warn everyone, but the Quintessons managed to grab him and force him into their ship, eventually he met his demise to the Quintessons blasters exploding him to bits.
Alpha Trion:
I am definitely keeping the red and purple colour scheme along with the white beard and white metallic cape (based on TFP), and no one can change my mind. His piercing cyan optics would just show his wisdom and god-like knowledge he has. Alpha Trion would be a very calm and wise guy, you can practically call him grandpa if you wanted to, tho as stated in the COP book, he's not a fighter and prefers to stay on the sidelines rather than try to break up a fight. I like to think his social skills are crap. He has all understanding to know what happens in the past and in the future thanks to his book, the Covenant of Primus, that he'll have to keep all of this knowledge hidden to himself, making him stay quiet. Think about it, if you told someone what's going to happen in the future, that person will try to change the future and ruin time and fate. Alpha Trion would be forced to keep silent about everything, not giving him enough chances to communicate and talk to his friends. That's why Primus gave him the book, for him to document and write about everything he thinks to continue Cybertron's lore. As a Master Archivist, of course he's good at collecting old books and finding out more about Cybertron, sorting out stuff, etc etc, he's a pretty organised mech. His abilities state that he could bend reality if he wanted to with the Covenant of Primus, but that's only an extremely rare thing he does to mainly protect the planet, not its people if Cybertron starts to break down. The thought of him having Telekinesis as shown in TFP One was very cool too, I kept it lol. Now then, Alpha Trion has been through a lot...that's pretty obvious, he's the oldest mech to ever live in Cybertron amongst so many people, he's seen everything...so when he was captured by the decepticons during the war with Smokescreen, he just gave Megatron a disapproving look of disappointment in his bound up state before getting decapitated. Alpha Trion doesn't fear death, he's lived too long.
Solus Prime:
The first female Prime, and a fragging badass too. I loved her design in TF One, the magenta and yellow looked very unique, but I wanted to give her purple accents on her armour just to make her stand out a little, along with blank white eyes, magenta eyeshadow, and beautiful purple locks. She holds her Forge on her back with a strap to go across her chest, so she's not constantly holding the damn hammer in her hands. Solus is very motherly and kind to everyone, even giving Megatronus the love he so desperately needed that the two became the very first Conjux Endura in history. Solus is selfless and understanding, tho can be a little stern like a stern parent when someone tries to annoy her or push her boundaries. Solus's love for Megatronus went far and beyond (please don't take that out of context) they would hang out, spend most of their time together, have a little dance under the moonlight, the 2 were perfect together. The Forge of Solus Prime can allow her to manifest/create anything she wanted, ranging from weapons to buildings, while it was powerful, of course it had its limits. The forge was also used as a powerful weapon (as shown in TFP when Ultra Magnus used the hammer) it can create electricity and bash through solid things easily with the right amount of force. But since Ultra Magnus was still new to the forge around that time, the forge was as powerful as it used to be. Her death was the very first death in Cybertron history. After Solus found out that Megatronus had been using Dark Energon to fuel himself up to be stronger, the 2 had a huge argument. Eventually the Dark Energon got to Megatronus's brain, making the Prime start to lose his mind and burst out in rage, shooting Solus right in her spark with his fushion arm cannon mid argument without thinking otherwise.
Micronus Prime:
I wanted to keep his TFP COP design, I wasn't a fan of the TF One design as it didn't look like a minicon at all. The small slim green bot inside an electric energy ball was something I very much enjoyed, along with electric cyan optics. Also his helmet looked a lot like a beetle which I found amusing. I like to think Micronus is a multitasker, put a bunch of tasks in front of him? Oh he won't stick with one. His personality would be kind and definitely selfless, a minicon that won't hesitate to help when in need and will always give bright ideas for plans. He would be great friends with Solus. But I can totally see him just a little feisty, as the tiny member of the team; a tiny wriggling around in Nexus's servos while trying to aim straight for the throat at Liege Maximo. That's something I can see happening. As stated in the Covenant of Primus, he is able to transfer energy, mimic abilities, he can go very fast, and is practically the consciousness of everyone. So much abilities packed into a tiny body I say. His death was trying to stop Megatronus, but ended up getting stomped to death.
Alchemist Prime:
Alchemist Prime, also known as the elemental. I wanted to mix his design with TFP COP and TF One. I liked his green and yellow design with wide cyan goggles for optic lenses in TF One, but decided to add that one light blue right arm and one orange left arm to him from the COP book to show his abilities. He is a soft spoken and sympathetic mech who prefers to learn and discover rather than fight, making him close friends with Alpha Trion. He is an even tempered and gentle member created by Primus. He is a scientist in his own right, inspecting every part of Cybertron big and small to figure out more secrets, but he'll share these ridiculous conspiracy theories that even some of the Primes would call him crazy. Alchemist's abilities are quite hard to comprehend, but being called the Elemental, I think he can change matter and other elements (example, turning a solid into a liquid, liquid to gas, etc), but only temporarily. His lenses allow him to expand and see beyond what others could, allowing him to understand the perspectives of others. His death was caused by Sentinel Prime while being attacked by the Quintessons (Reference to TF One), he tried to run but a Quintesson managed to get to him and held his limbs down. Alchemist tried to struggle, thrashing around but it was no use as Sentinel stabbed his sword into Alchemist's forehead, killing him instantly. Sentinel Prime wasn't phased with the fearful loud begging coming from Alchemist. "What a pathetic little thing" that was the last thing Alchemist Prime heard.
Nexus Prime:
Nexus Prime was a tricky one to do. I kept his design from the TFP COP book, the bronze metallic body with the red accents suits him well along with the light blue visor. He is 20% Cybertronian, 20% Junkion, 40% Velocitronian, and 20% unknown (a real combiner indeed). His personality just screams chaotic good, he's a daredevil, not afraid to take sudden risks. You don't like him? Good, he doesn't like you either, this guy doesn't hesitate to jump into danger to fight and comes back with multiple wounds only to see "it's fine! Just a scratch" (it's a gaping hole in his chest). He's had a solid and pretty good friendship with most of the Primes, he tolerates everyone but him and Amalgamous are always up to no good causing friendly trouble. His ability as a combiner is similar to shapeshifting but not quite. He can detach and reattach his limbs at will as well as being able to split himself into 5 parts. He doesn't have a dominant form since his gears and parts are constantly moving around and changing. You can imagine how annoying it must be when he has to oil his gears by the end. His death is similar to Alchemist, being led into a cave and meeting his demise. While fighting the Quintessons, he was pushed right into Sentinel's blade. The blade pierced through his chest right where his spark was.
Onyx Prime:
Onyx Prime will keep his COP design, with his brownish gold metal body along with large wings that expand up to 60ft in human measurements. He has his 3-faced Triptych mask that is placed on his head: The top mask, Farsight, showed visions of other places and times. The middle mask, Predator, gave Onyx immediate insight into any creature so that he can hunt it faultlessly. The bottom mask, Mournsong, allows Onyx to watch the journey of a Spark across the hidden regions of death. A pretty powerful Centaur if you ask me. He is a very friendly Prime to everyone, always very determined to complete a mission. His mannerisms can be compared to an animal considering he's a winged-centaur, so he'll be thrilled with head pats, running through the fields, belly rubs, young people riding on his back, he loves it all! Similar to TFOne, I can see his weapon being a double bladed spear, he'll be terrifyingly good at it that the Predacons would run for the hills. His death was before the Quintessons, after Solus Prime's death to Megatronus, and Primes wanted to try and detain Megatronus before he could do any more damage. They didn't want to kill him, just restrain him. But attempting so, Megatronus grabbed Onyx, raising him up above his head, and ripped the poor winged-centaur in half.
Amalgamous Prime:
Okay! Amalgamous was the SECOND hardest one to type for my AU. They're a very tall mech coloured in electric yellow and gold with white accents. As a shapeshifter, they don't have a specific pronoun to go by, some people think they're a mech and some think they're a femme. They are the tallest of the Primes yet unable to understand the Cybertronian language so they stay silent and communicate by actions. But mainly Solus and Vector teach them their language so now Amalgamous can speak maybe a word or two. They're an expert prankster, tricking everyone stealthily and is always successful every time. Like Onyx, they can act like an animal, mainly like a cat. They'll purr when feeling comfortable or content, it's honestly adorable. Besides that, they're a very gentle and kind creature. Their death was right before Onyx when Megatronus straight up grabbed their head and decapitated them harshly. Amalgamous never got to speak their language properly or got to see Cybertron change into something beautiful...they were very devastated...
Quintus Prime:
Quintus Prime looks more like a Martian than anything. His green and yellow alien-like body stood out the most compared to the other Primes. He has 4 bright yellow optics on his face along with a robotic halo-like headpiece on the back of his head. His design in TFOne was pitch perfect, so I decided to give him the 6 arms as shown in the movie. He honestly looks like he's floating with his tentacle-like legs tho. His ability is his emberstone that allows him to experiment with life a little. Now I decided to change his personality up a little bit for my AU. As creator of the Quintessons, he always wanted to create life for Cybertron, it was his dream goal and he was very fond of the idea so much. But then again, he wanted to rule Cybertron as well. So he created the Quintessons to purposely cause chaos and destruction to Cybertron while also creating robotic life so he could rule the planet his own way. But eventually the other Primes managed to cuff him and take him to Iacon prison where Alchemist sat down to talk to him. No one knew why Quintus Prime was so adamant to be the villain and cause a new era of Cybertron. But after a bit of talking, Alchemist could see hints of guilt in Quintus's eyes, but Quintus didn't want to admit anything and just considered himself responsible for causing all of this. His death was the very first death Sentinel committed. Before the plan in the cave was set, Sentinel walked to Quintus's cell with his double bladed sword and stabbed Quintus in the chest once, leaving Quintus slowly dying as he walked away. A very slow and painful death for the unexpected traitor of the group.
Liege Maximo:
Liege Maximo, the Prime of lies. Liege has an emerald green and black colour scheme with hints of gold, as well as long horns, bright yellow snake-like optics, and a dark green cloak. Of course his design is similar to COP. He is a very good manipulator, able to get away with any excuse, his skill allowed him to convince all the Primes all except for Megatronus. Megatronus was not fooled by the Prime's snake-like movements and the side eyeing he gave. Liege Maximo is a very kind and fatherly mech on the outside able to comfort and encourage his friends, but cunning and sly on the inside able to manipulate and trick everyone. He didn't have a special ability, manipulation was his best skill, but I did decide to give him poison darts he can use to throw at enemies, he seemed like the guy to use those. His death was caused by Megatronus. Do I really need to explain why Megatronus wanted to kill him? Well the 2 Decepticon Primes just absolutely hate each other. Liege Maximo had his arm ripped off during a fight by Megatronus, then pinned to the wall by his neck where he was shot in the head. As seen in TFP, Liege Maximo's arm was later found in a grave for Megatron to use to hold the dark star Saber and fight Optimus in the future.
Megatronus Prime:
No one can tell me otherwise, I'm keeping his TFOne look. I love the purple and yellow armour along with the decepticon-shaped mask over his face. I gave him yellow optics that eventually change to red when taking his first kill. Before his betrayal, Megatronus was a misunderstood mech, he was very caring and honest, showing respect to his Conjux, Solus, and overall trying to do the right things. But Prima could sense Unicron's spark inside Megatronus, making the 2 rivals, always fighting and arguing with each other. And don't get me started on Liege Maximo, Megatronus was always furious when Liege would manipulate his Conjux. I can see Megatronus having anger issues, the poor mech was always so stressed and wanting to protect everyone but it always came out as his fault. His ability is Telekinesis and wields a large purple spear along with a fushion cannon attached to his right arm. After the battle of Unicron, Megatronus wanted to do more to protect his team. So he started to consume dark energon. He thought that dark energon could help him get stronger and more powerful as seen with Unicron. But oh was he so wrong, the effects of Dark energon took over his anger that he shot Solus, killed Onyx, Liege Maximo, Amalgamous, Micronus brutally, knocked Vector unconscious, and tried to strangle Alpha Trion. When he ran away from everyone and into the cave on the surface, he started sobbing at his regrets and failures as the dark energon was overwhelming and weakening his spark. As he was being held gently by Primus and slowly dying, he whispered to his creator "If there ever will be a new Prime in the future...I swear I'll protect them with my very might in spirit..." This is a reference to when Optimus will be Prime in the future. I wanted Megatronus not as a villain, but a misunderstood person.
Thirteenth (Zeta) Prime:
And ladies and Gentlemen we are onto our last Prime. As a reference to TFOne, Zeta Prime will be the last Prime out of the 13. Zeta Prime was made as the youngest Prime with a blue and yellow body along with a crown-shaped headpiece. He was about 12 at the time when Alpha Trion decided to take care of him during all of this. Zeta used to be a shy soul yet his spark was the very closest to Primus, making him more respected and cared for than ever. When the fight with Unicron came is when he got his very first weapon, the energon axe. At age 15 was when he was given the Matrix of Leadership and he led the Primes until age 25. During those times, Zeta and Alpha Trion were very close in a student-mentor way relationship, you can probably consider Zeta to be his son if you wanted to. Zeta's ability was able to bring life with Primus's spark, he can control everything, he was a very powerful kid able to do practically anything. Telekinesis, mind reading. Flight. Strength. Speed. Glitch. You name it, he was like a god, but Zeta used his powers respectfully as to not bring out his full potential unless desperately needed. Sentinel Prime was made by the Quintessons, hatched out of an egg as a sparkling, this led Zeta to take care of the child for years and years as a responsible father. Years go by as Zeta was leader of Cybertron, until Sentinel's betrayal. When Sentinel shot Zeta in the abdomen and took the Matrix (only for it to disappear), he was left to die in the cave. Alpha Trion made sure to hold his son close as Zeta requested for his name to be erased from history, he was confident he would be reincarnated and brought back, and he didn't want his future life to know who he used to be. So Zeta's name was erased and changed to Thirteenth Prime. Half of Thirteenth's spark was reincarnated into Orion Pax, while the other half was connected to the Matrix of Leadership.
///////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////////
Conclusion
All the Primes are now contained in the Matrix, their sparks giving the Matrix light while their ghosts/spirits guided Optimus throughout his journey, Megatronus being the most frequent since he's keeping his promise. All the Primes used to be one big happy family until everything went to shit. Overall, they will not be forgotten.
✨And that was the 13 Primes for my AU, I'll be doing more of this kind of stuff in the future. Please feel free to give me headcanons or give me questions. My AU goes from the 13 Original Primes all the way to Lost Light. So I'm open to everything! References are from the Covenant of Primus book, Transformers Prime, and Transformers One.✨

Scott's tf comics have their flaws ofc, but they're fine. The thing that really throws me off is her interviews because it's that feeling of "did we read the same thing" you get from some analysis, except this is the author.
#like when she says that seeing optimus lose his divinity will be really hard for windblade like what????#windblade understands that Primes are a big deal in Caminus but she herself never treated him as a demigod#like literally combiner wars is about her and op trying to use OP's prime clout to combat Starscream#and she uses this as a tool she never even says she believes it#i feel she would have a different attitude if she did#and like it was cool because it made sense with her arc about having to become more cunning to survive Cybertron#i mean that interview makes sense with the Revolution extra#but that was the first time we see WB having so much reverence for OP for being a Prime#and it only came up so she could lose it#Pyra Magna was also weird about it in that comic#Windblade has far more reverence for the Titans than OP literally what is Scott talking about#it explains why some beats feels unearned i guess

Just learned that Netflix's He-Man Revelation show is getting a sequel, which I'm glad to hear as though it had it's flaws, I thought it was still good and I'm glad that it is continuing.
This also gives me hope that if that can get a sequel then I hope Netflix Transfomers: War for Cybertron can as well, since I have talked about what I think it could happen in it which could lead to seeing some interesting stuff: https://www.tumblr.com/commenter2/707092077662601216/ive-been-thinking-about-transformers-war-for?source=share

what if the war and everything the transformers ever lived through was all fake and created artificially via an alien species wanting to learn about them and doing experiments on their processors a la cyberverse s3 loop episode, meaning they're all connected and their energon is being sucked, but they're all sharing the same simulation/simulations
and the simulations work like different universes so like maybe they're in a tfp-like one, and they have their tfp-esque mannerisms and temper and even designs bc the ppl in Control are changing the values of certain variables and altering the way their processors work, and then the sim ends and suddenly they're in idk, a tfa-like universe, and so on and so forth, they don't ever know when a sim ends or starts bc they don't even know they're in one in the first place
#hold on I think your onto something here-#an aligned continuity set in a simulation made by the quintessons in order to regain control of cybertron and their creations#after said creations teamed up and started a revolution#the whole ‘war’ is just the two sides fighting against their own friends and even family#whenever someone dies they get booted from the simulation and get put back into the real cyber train to be enslaved by the quintessons#and it all comes full circle-#bit of a ramble but I I ironically love this idea-#transformers

Titan LL!
Heavens, I love Titan LL.
...You know, since nobody's doing anything, I think I'll try something. Dibs!
.*.*.*.
Lost Light is named after a day of mourning.
He doesn't feel like it.
Perhaps it was a wish made upon the smallest of the youngest batch of Titans, brought online shortly before fires of revolution blazed across Cybertron and it's domains. For the mourning to be the least in the coming times. Perhaps they succeeded, but joke's on them. Lost Light may have been online through the times of grief, but grief does not touch his spark. It's another element of his surrounding, like floating rocks, clouds of solid something, solar winds, the works.
Well, for a given definition of "online", because, he, his batch and some older Titans were moored in random spots in the system, just away from Cybertron itself.
The new batch was mostly stationed in the shadows of Cybertron, in vain hopes of civil war going away quickly. But sometimes, when the fighting peaked and threatened to reach the moons, they were herded away and over to the system's edge, near the border of termination shock. There were a lot of visible stars here. And Primus, there was nothing more Lost Light liked more than those beautiful, beautiful stars.
The first Titans were sparked to carry their Cybertronian brethren beyond the embrace of their homeworld to the stars and defend them on the way. Not all Titans functioned as deep-space transport nowadays, but that was the original idea behind their frametype. Wayfarers.
And just when Lost Light started to go mad between moorings and itched to stretch his warp drive, because Primus and Unicron conspired to punish him specifically for his hubris, the Quintessons struck.
And Titans of Cybertron, eternal guardians they are, stood as the first line. While the little ones below scrambled around and got their priorities and slag-all in order, they stood. And together they withstood successfully. Neither Cybertron nor any planet in it's system fell to the Quintessons. It was not a clean victory, and Quints broke the lines to land incursions, but the Titans weathered enough that the little ones on the grounds were not overwhelmed. They endured the first of storms.
In the end of the beginning, the home system was safe, the civil war was over, and the Titans under the newly united Cybertronian High Command were partially reassigned to the outer fronts.
Now, Lost Light is a tiny Titan. An unusually tiny Titan by Titan standarts. He heard it was because there was a mix-up of vessels for reforging into Titanframes, and his was made from a late shipment two classes below specification.
His largest configuration houses in theory a thousand crewmembers. He prefers his smallest, which should hold above a dozen, but he does not have even a dozen of a crew anyway. He is still a Titan, and can comfortably rip into one, two, three Quint ships, but he cannot withstand a dozen, and Primus below, Quint ships in outer space come in waves and swarm like the squids they are. Instead, in this war he does he does best of what he does - he runs. He is small, his warp drives and bridge generators are the best among his batchmates, and he is fast. So he runs.
There's no Quint blockade that can stop him. Perhaps his cargo hold is not the largest, but if he is given a delivery, he will deliver it as soon as possible, come Pit or high tides. There's no escort craft that can keep up with him (and let's be honest, they are already understaffed enough that they simply can't find proper escort for his size), so he runs alone. If the Prime himself needs an express delivery, Lost Light is the Titan for the job.
He sees a lot of stars on his runs. He is pretty sure some of them are at least unclaimed, and some may be uncharted at all, so he marks them all on his maps. For later! Once the war ends, the beautiful, beautiful stars are his! He amasses a lot of maps, colors and marks them in the brightest hues his software comes with.
And some little ones even ask after the maps. Not like he hides them or something.
So, when the Prime calls, he comes.
Prime waits for him in the hanger personally. Together with the usual retinue, very much less usual very large pile of maps, boards and documents, a Perceptor hidden behind the pile of stuff (Xanthium talks about her favorite gunner a lot, when they have time to catch up), some twitchy engineer and his frequent passenger of express ferry Head Tactician Prowl.
Who has something very tiny enthusiastically crawling on him. Something so tiny, he has to recalibrate his inner and outer sensors for recordicon contact. His optics were hit in bot mode by rocks larger! Which were sometimes crawling with assorted space crustaceans! Come to think of it, thos crustaceans moved similarly...
And, because he is better at acceleration than braking, first thing Lost Light does is voice this observation.
"Prowl, sir, you've got crabs"
...
That was a start of a wonderful working relationship. Once they calm the tiny organic down from laughing, that is. It's name is Jazz, and it needs a ride home. Home which is besieged by Quintessons, and likely is near a fortified outpost, if not a starbase.
Strictly speaking, usually Titans are kept apart from organics, because they are usually very small, and tend to rot and fossilize. But since Lost Light is also very small, he got a direct invitation to an organic planet and immediately engaged his internal environmental system to produce enough oxygen. This is a chance of a lifetime!
Which brings him to his current... Problem?
The thing is, Jazz apparently has comrades. They pilot simulacrum frames specialized in Quint killing, which is very much respectable. And Lost Light's alt-mode's hangar bay may be a little tight in this configuration, but still compatible with them.
The issue is, one of those simulacrums which Lost Light got to shelter, a pleasantly painted one (flame patterns are always in vogue! No matter what anybody says!), appears to have broken down. Which made the organic inside very upset. At least he thinks it's upset, he is not very good at reading organics. Those "humans" do have fields, but they are very dull in comparison to Cybertronian ones.
The little organic with great taste is shouting what appears to be obscenities at unresponsive frame and alternates this with begging. Lost Light is floundering in his processor. The organic performs some indecipherable actions towards a fuel line of some sort with a tiny wrench. He's been at it for hours. None of the others from Jazz's makeshift warband returned yet.
This means Lost Light is responsible as the hosting Titan. Lost Light is usually alone. He does not quite know how to host other Cybertronians for prolonged periods of time, let alone organics. He hopes he maintains a nice oxygenated atmosphere.
He cannot watch this anymore. He has to gather all his confidence in his circuits and do something. Like talk to an organic without Prowl or the twitchy engineer (Swear? Swole? Swire? Swalter?) present. And, well, he'll figure how to decelerate later!
"Little one, do you require any assistance? I do have an internal welder somewhere..."
The organic startles, almost falling from it's precarious perch at the simulacrum's locked elbow joint, catches itself in time, and glances around. Then it glances up. And around again.
"I haven't hit my head that hard, yes? Is there someone here?"
"Well, yes? I mean no offence, but you're inside me"
Silence answers him, quickly broken by laughter. He remembers Jazz laughing. It is a similar laugh. He thinks he likes this laugh more.
"Well, I did not expect the ship to be speaking too. I really should not be surprised after this whole month"
At least the organic isn't despairing anymore? Lost Light thinks he can see a smile on it's face if he strains the camera.
"Technically, I'm a Titan. I'm a ship in the same way Deadlock is a,,, what you call small ground vehicle... Car? If I want to, I can be a building."
"Wait, but if you're the ship... How big do you guys come?!"
"Very. Now, little one, do you want my welder or not?"
Another wave of laughter follows.
"I do have a name!"
"You did not introduce myself"
"Cheeky. And yet, you did not introduce yourself either, big ship"
"My designation is Lost Light, and I'm the best Titan Courier this side of the galaxy"
The organic seems to finally locate his internal camera and so it points at it with it tiny wrench. Lost Light thinks it likes it's smile too.
"Well, nice to meet'cha, Lost Light. Name's Hot Rod. Now, about that welder..."
Lost Light rummages in his inventory for his favorite welder, mountable on a cargo manipulator. It is surprisingly elusive.
"I have it, I have it.... somewhere. It's been a long time since I patched up myself."
"...You patch yourself up often?"
"Nowadays not much, I'm a very good runner, and... Aha! There it is!"
Hot Rod look very, very happy to see the welder-wielding cargo manipulator. He is so much smaller than the tiniest little ones he carried. He reminds Lost Light of something that escapes his processor.
"Thanks, big ship. I hate ruptured lines. God knows when Ratch and that Swerve guy will be back"
"I'm not that big, you know. And I'm glad to be of assistance"
Despite pointed critique from the organic called Ratchet later on, Lost Light considers his skills with a welder in his internal cargo manipulator arms to be above average.
Hot Rod thinks so too, and ire of a medic shared is misery halved in Lost Light's books.
And then it hits him.
He reminds Lost Light of those beautiful, beautiful distant stars.
Lost Light prepares a very tiny datapad for a very big map.
.*.*.*.
...And here it is. I got possessed. Guest-starring my basic knowledge of astrophysics and bad jokes.
OOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHH I LOVE THIS TAKE ON THEM SO MUCH

The idea of Heatwave being a Wavewave sparkling but mainly from Soundwave tears me up. So I'll submit you all to my PAIN!!!
The idea of Soundwave growing up in the pits, fighting for his life, becoming a top gladiator but still being seen as the lowest of the lowest, but then, this Sparkling appears in his life. A little red bot who seemingly was abandoned or was not picked when it emerged from the All Spark.
That being their first meeting, Soundwave was not yet the Soundwave we know so he didn't know what to do. His best hope was that the little bot would end just like him, surviving on its own... or just die with no pain. After all, there was no one else but him, just him, and Ravage too ofc but really no one else...
So, imagine how stupid must he have felt as he took the sparkling from the ground and was unable to put it down. Ravage in the background wheezing as she realizes what has happened ¨Oh yea, that's how I adopted you too HAHAHAHAH¨
And things well get hard. Why did he do it? Was it some left kindness on him? Did he lose his mind? or maybe, he just compasioned...?
Time passes, he keeps fighting, Ravage keeps being annoying but is still there for him, and the Sparkling now going by the name Heatwave, was there too looking from afar. Soundwave had decided that the little Bot would not participate in the arena, he would just watch and learn.
Heatwave was amazed at the way his ¨creator¨ fought other bots who were bigger than him and much more robust in comparison. Tho he didn't wish to become a gladiator just like his creator, but he still wanted to show how strong he was helping others.
Time passes, they're a small ¨family¨ for all they can say, but they are very strong and united. In every fight, Soundwave participates in the entertainment of the upper classes, he kept in reserve credits so that one day Heatwave can leave the pits and form a real life outside the misery. It would of course be a slow process, but Soundwave knew that he could do it.
A big surprise was when Heatwave shared with him that he wanted to become a Rescue Bot, a particular job that didn't really fit in any of the class rankings that Cybertron had been using... it was a job that came with intense training that if failed, all the blame would go to the bot who failed and not to the institution who trained them. A job that was more chosen to do for the pure of one spark than the want to win something. Such was that it was known that the High Council would prefer losing 5 Rescue Bot units than one Council member.
The job was clearly going to be a dead sentence, but after a long discussion, there were not many options like the Rescue recruit institutions offered to give a semi-normal life to low-class citizens... at least, for the time Heatwave would be trained he would have a home with basic needs, and once out of training and to the practice, the payment would be enough to even feed Ravage.
Soundwave still didn't want to say yes. to give Heatwave permission, but, Heatwave was just hotheaded, he was promising that with this he would be able to give Soundwave the life he could not grow up with... the life he gave to Heatwave...
Soundwave still saved credits as he kept participating in the arena, just in case.
Time seemed to fly through this change. Heatwave met his assigned team and close friends, Soundwave met new bots too, aspiring and strong allies for both of them. Yet, their ideals seemed to change as their lives grow appart.
They still saw each other, they kept communicating, and Ravage always reminded one or the other to call. But things just can't stay calm forever. The pits and many parts of Cybertron considered for the lower cast were being destroyed, homes and families being displeased so the upper class could take those areas. Slowly, a revolution was being armed with strong bots taking the lead. One in particular, Megatronus, wanted Soundwave as his second in command as he saw potential in him.
Soundwave wanted to decline at first. This could endanger Heatwave in many levels if it was known that they both were family. Megatronus seemed to understand, and it seemed that someone else would take Soundwave's place as SIC... is it wasn't for that one call...
The call that changed forever Soundwave's perspective on life and on his own decisions. It was from the Rescue recruitment system that chose Heatwave informing him of... the red bot dead, with the rest of his team...
Rescue Sigma-17 had been deployed to help another unit very far away, and as it seemed that the job was being completed, the communication began to cut. In short, all signals were lost and no vital was detected. Both units had been gone enough time to be declared deceased...
There was not going to be any effort on further location or send a 3 unit with more equipment to help or to at least know what happened. There was not going to be any effort on finding Heatwave's body for a proper funeral, his stuff as the stuff of his team would be tossed or given to their creators. That being said, Soundwave and Ravage received nothing but a big box full of credits, enough to live a luxurious life in the middle class...
It had a note from Heatwave. Just like Soundwave was saving for an emergency, Heatwave had been doing the same. Probably not eating or working extra to have this amount of credits...
... Soundwave tossed all that in their faces not accepting a damn. As fast as he could he went to Megatronus and began their plan to attack...
...
...
...
At light years far away, after more tragedy had occurred. A small ship floating in the middle of nothing received a message that redirected t it to a planet called Earth.
Landing, four bots from stasis had awakened to see the beauty of an organic planet and to encounter a figure not many would be able to talk to, Optimus Prime.

Megatron's Opposite Day
"I free slaves"
This is Soundwave binding Ratbat but seeing as Megatron did the same thing to Pentius by putting his spark into Trypticon and reformatted Rumble and Frenzy into cassettes against their will I think he approves a lot of this practice
Megatron on Optimus and humans, after his defeat in All Hail Megatron ⬇️
he really salty
"I implant ideology" aka brainwashing
Decepticon cause = Megatron. nuff said.
"I liberate cities" says the person who let Nyon burn to make a point
Cities are too small, think bigger
Holding New York hostage.
"Like Autobots, they believe in the sanctity of life" which he doesn't. Kudos for being honest.
Allowing troops to do free-rein massacre is a reward for conquest. Nothing like some easy murder for de-stressing.
The Simanzi massacre which halved the Cybertronian population is off-screen so it doesn't deserve its own pic
"The revolution"
"We only feel good when we stand with a blade in one hand and a throat in another" "Let's make the entire face of the planet into our new gladiator arena"
What nice, confidence-inspiring revolutionaries. I'm sure they'll rule the population with benevolence after they've killed all the Necessary People with Necessary Violence. Final interpretation of what constitutes as Necessary is reserved for the sole discretion of Megatron, ofc.
Good goals.
Sentinel might be an absolute asshole but at least he's got one thing right: they're literally a gang of thugs who gets high off murder.
"The people are my utmost concern"
'The people': ................
"Battling for freedom"
Freedom of what? Function? Autonomy?
Religion?
the ability to choose whether to fight? on which side to fight?
Idk why they used the word "pogrom" for this, it's way too specific
Anyways it doesn't matter, they won't be missed.
Good for Bumblebee for calling him out. Screenshotted this just to appreciate Megatron's bitchy face ⬇️
Other urban legends:
"Megatron loves Cybertron" let's just burrrrn it
He did fight to save Cybertron in Chaos Theory but also made it pretty clear why he did it. It's not out of the goodness of his heart or any sentimental reasons like that. It's an ego/dominance thing.
Plus his wording when he's trying to convince Optimus to let him go with the Lost Light: "I broke the planet. And that, Optimus, is why I owe it to you - to everyone - to find a replacement."
Replacement.
In other words: I made a mess and can't be bothered to clean it up, so I want to get away from it and find somewhere new to start clean.
I don't think Optimus appreciates the favour.
"Megatron tore down a corrupt government" which is true, just too bad that he's worse
He's also, um, a closeted Zeta admirer?
"Megatron advocates equality" ???
Megatron x dictatorship is literally his OTP. They were inseparable for four million years. A lot of people died trying.
"Megatron cares about the Decepticons" no he doesn't. Not his troops nor its cause.
Like for one thing he treats them with complete scorn
Admits that the most useful thing about keeping Starscream around is that he can bully underlings into line
Wants to use the humans' nuke to get rid of his troops and reformat them into peaceful drones after they outlive their use because they were "too ruthless" for his perfect peaceful society
Has zero scruples about fighting Deceptigod, just affronted that his own soldiers are being used against him
And basically just drops the Decepticons like a bag of vermin after he surrenders. He never once mentions them of his own accord, other than to insist he has nothing to do with them. Even his surrender speech is something Optimus makes him do as exchange b/c he wants to go on parole. He wasn't planning on making a public address otherwise, he was just going to leave them hanging.
Looking at the publication timeline, Megatron started out as an established Evil McEvilson-type villain similar to how he is in G1 and it's not until Chaos Theory in 2011 that JRo really gave him a sympathetic backstory that drew his characterization away from the bloodthirsty pugno ergo sum warlord into someone who once held ideals about societal reform and remains convinced of his own moral supremacy throughout the 4 mill years of death and war, adding worldbuilding such as Functionism/oppression/government corruption as justification for the beginning of the Decepticon movement. But because the start of the Decepticons was already written in Megatron Origins and every evil thing he'd done up till Chaos Theory can't be retracted and they had to keep Megatron as a villain until his story was no longer central to the Autobot-Decepticon war line, and JRo didn't try to downplay the atrocities he'd committed (some of the most sadistically disturbing things Megatron did were exclusively in MTMTE flashbacks), but rather tried to distance him from them and placed the focus on the juxtapositions to emphasize change, this as a whole just resulted in Evil McEvilson getting turned into Hyper McHypocrite.
#That being said I genuinely enjoyed Megatron's redemption arc in mtmte/ll. It's one of those stories that's very poignant and moving#on an emotional level#even though the plot itself doesn't hold up that much under close scrutiny.#moved this to the tags to make the post cleaner#I would've liked it more if LL used a few more panels to show Megatron Actually Making Friends#instead of shunting him into a parallel universe for idk how many issues in an already limited run#transformers#idw transformers#maccadam#megatron#trying to clear out more screenshots

he’s like the equivalent of a rich nepo baby who’s tutored by Thee Alpha Trion and for much of his life he decides to become a gladiator (which is generally considered a last resort option for bots who have no money) and he makes a big sport out of it and becomes the best of the best (because he has the money to upgrades and nurishment etc for such a demanding lifestyle) and basically pretends to be a champion for the weak and downtrodden
and orion pax who was once a miner, the lowest of the low, who had been personally selected by alpha trion to become his apprentice by what seemed like random luck, eats up everything megatron is giving him.
and megatron decided to co-op the revolution orion and ultra magnus and alpha trion are waging, pretending to totally be on their side and agree with everything, until the civil war reaches its peak and megatron kills sentinel prime in front of everyone and promises a fair and equal world and becomes the new rightful leader of cybertron. which had been his main dream the entire time of working with the revolution- to be the one in power by the end of it, to rule over the entire planet. gladiatorial recognition was not enough, praise was not enough. he wanted power.
megatron is the one who introduced them all to the concept of a functionalist society in the pretense of it being “equal” and “fair” after the fall out of a more capitalistic society that sentinel had been gluttoning off of. and for a while it tricks everyone. it tricks everyone into a lull of righteousness and complacency because being assigned a function at birth and being forced to do it regardless of your dreams was much better than being constantly down on your luck and struggling for a purpose? now your life had meaning! you were made to do this!
but this still obviously creates an exploited class and eventually alpha trion and orion and elita and ultra magnus have to wage a second civil war against megatron and for a long time they really are the underdogs. people wanted to pretend the world was fair and equal after sentinel's demise. megatron was the one in charge, the technically completely legit and rightful ruler of cybertron. it takes so long to rally a troop and longer still to become effective.
this is getting too long anyway megatrons just a fucking cunt in tf rollback he exploits a profession reserved for the poor to easily gain fame, he exploits a revolution to gain power, he establishes functionalism within their society, he destroys cybertron in his quest to have power by essentially oil fracking the fuck out of it to power an army.
tf rollback megatron……. he’s such a cunt….
#he’s so fun to me. he sucks so much.#he just wants attemption SO badly fame and glory#and then eventually recognizes power gets you all of that and MORE#and his quest for power eventually drives him into believing that cybertron isn’t enough#the galaxy isn’t enough#the entire UNIVERSE must be his#and eventually desires to attain actual godhood#to be powerful and to be worshiped#bc at his core he just likes attention <3#he’s everything basically every other version of megatron would HATE#it’s been a while since I’ve read hunger games but to me that scene where katnis shoots the woman in charge of the revolution instead of#President snow. megatron is kind of like that woman to name

I Saw Transformers One Early Last Week. Let’s Talk About It!!! (SPOILER FREE)
EXPECTATIONS
I’m going to be honest, I had very very low expectations for this movie for a multitude of reasons. The first was the cast, particularly choosing celebrity hires instead of professional voice actors for a franchise where dialogue delivery means SO MUCH historically and the present. I like Chris Hemsworth, I do, but I am so attached to Orion Pax that I did NOT see him as someone fit for the role. I was also afraid of it becoming a WFC situation where the VA tries TOO HARD to be Peter Cullen. I am also a huge fan of Elita One, and Scarlett Johansson was not my first choice by any means. The one thing giving me hope was the fact that Scarlett and Chris interact SO WELL in their films together and in press releases and they do give off that Orion and Elita energy sometimes. Regardless, I was skeptical.
Now for the big thing: I was very nervous how they were going to handle the politics and the buildup that leads to Megatronus and Orion’s separation. It is no secret that Pre-War Cybertron in many continuities begins with a very corrupt and fascist Senate. Corrupted Senators, capitalistic manipulation and unethical abuse, dehumanization, corporal punishment, you name it, Cybertron had it. The concepts of functionalism, shadowplay, mnemosurgery, and empurata also come to mind. It is also no secret that the United States is on the brink of total fascism. A lot of Pre-War Cybertron’s themes, particularly the Decepticon cause in its early days as a movement, emphasized the elimination of the oppressive regime and reconstruction with an end to the very infrastructure that caused class division and brutalization of Cybertronian bodies. Not only this, but Megatronus and Orion’s schism often comes because of class, particularly privilege and lack thereof, which is something that often happens in revolution. Those with more privilege often think that reform can happen underneath the system that looms over them, just with a switching of a guard and elimination of a few policies. They are often ones who partook in and benefitted from the system by birth or for the sake of survival. Those who come from the lower classes want to burn the entire system down, understanding in its entirety that its very infrastructure is unstable and is not sustainable, no matter who is in power. Examples of this divide despite deep friendship and similar ideas is Andres Bonifacio and Jose Rizal of the Philippines (as a Filipino). Orion, in most cases coming from a privileged background, saw hope in simple reform after extracting the corrupt portions of the federal structure. Megatronus, who fought his whole life to be deemed as sentient, understood that the entire system was diseased and could not go on. It would just eventually continue its horrid practices. I can go on a tangent about this, as someone who studies and writes on anti-colonialism, but that’s another post for another day. My concern based on the trailers was that it would address NONE of that and there would be some watered down conflict that removed the nuances and political passion behind a lot of other continuities. The trailers, to me, were not giving me enough proof that it would be handled correctly.
Initial Experience
My theater was filled with mostly adults of various ages who were fans of different continuities. Some people were even talking about how they thought the movie was going to suck, including me with my dad, who has been a fan since G1 in the 80s and was going in blind. However, throughout the entire film, the whole theater was laughing, gasping, cheering, clapping, and screaming. Afterwards, there were people who were literally talking about how it was the movie they’d been waiting for after years of disappointment. Someone literally shouted when leaving the theater that he was so excited for September when everyone else could see it. My dad, who has not been a fan of recent Transformers material, talked nonstop about how much he loved it. Me personally, I was BRIMMING with excitement afterwards, which is huge given that I was ready to criticize the movie’s every move. Let me get into why- note this is SPOILER FREE.
Orion Pax
Believe it or not, I really liked TF1’s Orion. He was witty, had the snark of Aligned Orion, and clearly had a goal in mind: to entirely shift the status quo by breaking the class distinction. He was extremely optimistic like most versions, something that is often criticized in the fanbase, and is also criticized in the film. However, the qualities that G1 created and the Bayverse destroyed were THERE. Orion was a DORK. He was KIND. He CARED for people deeply, even if they weren’t necessarily thinking about him. He was a KNOWN PROBLEM-SOLVER. His intelligence is noted MULTIPLE times. He really is authentically Orion. I’ll do a more in-depth analysis in September.
Megatronus/ D-16
Now, THIS MAN WAS AMAZING. I am so used to the source of his anger being solely lower class-based oppression amongst other things relating to that. The film offered another option, which I will not disclose, but I thought it was a wonderful addition. I will keep my mouth shut about D-16’s personality in this film because it’s a secret, but just know this new take on Megatronus was a bit refreshing and gives new material for both fan continuity writers and fanfic writers.
Elita
I was honestly scared to see how they would portray Elita, especially with their track record of solely making her Optimus’s love interest and killing her off. I also was afraid that they would turn her into a white feminism caricature, which I can go into depth about for clarification if anyone needs it. However, the writers take feminism for Elita and take a much more in-depth route. I found her well done. She was giving mother in this film, absolutely brilliant. There will be an analysis on her as well in September, especially since they have so much intended room for her.
Worldbuilding and Additional Characters
I think that with about an hour and a half, it would have been SO HARD to create an entire world of deep political brutality and nuance like the comics directly. So, I think the writers created a framework that was good enough to convey the fascist undertones of Cybertron while also leaving so many avenues to explore and elaborate on for future films, whether they be prequels or sequels. Some characters were added in with a bit of context, but no in-depth explanations. While I would normally say that’s a downside, I think that it was actually really smart on their part. If you tried to add all of these complex stories from the comics in an hour and a half film combined with everything else, it would have likely been underdeveloped and left more questions and holes than answers. By removing that, I think that it was a smart move to expand on in their own time and with good pacing. Besides, the presence of some characters was very enjoyable and kept the audience I was with wanting more from them. Not in a “there wasn’t enough of them” way at all, but instead a “they were so cool in the short time they were here I need more now” way. Everyone in this continuity gets a new and different start. I honestly think it would give fan continuity writers motivation to continue what they’re doing, now that basic and consistent pre-war plot lines have been redone. I think for how long the movie is, they did a great job.
Additional Thoughts
I think that everything was pretty well done. The pacing was especially important, given we were supposed to witness a buildup in such a devastating “divorce”. That isn’t done lightly, and they made sure that they built it up enough to where the final blow was devastating. It was SO DEVASTATING that people in my theater were gasping left and right. The comedy was well done, as someone who hates poorly-written jokes for laughs. It fit into the characters’ personalities well, that’s what made it work well. It didn’t feel forced because that’s just how that particular character is. I also think that, as a fandom, sometimes we get too wrapped up in very specific characterizations of these individuals to the point where we refuse new ideas. I was extremely guilty of this. However, this film was truly made by someone that loved the franchise and knew exactly what the fans wanted. Brian Tyler, who did the score for TFP, also doing the score for this film was proof of that (as someone who absolutely ADORES film scores as a musician) There was a good amount of brutality within the rating of the film, so bayverse fans who are itching for something shockingly horrible are in for a surprise. I also think that it knew its boundaries well and moved not to push them while also being considerate of certain audiences who may be a bit younger. It was a good restart, especially for animated Transformers films, and I think that they can really build it into something great. This was a very sound foundation and I was not disappointed.
ALSO, THERE IS A MID AND POST-CREDIT SCENE SO DON’T LEAVE IMMEDIATELY

GUYS NEW AU ALERT HELP ME I LOVE MEGOP MEGOP IS WHAT KEEPS ME ALIVE I LOVE THEM
Y'all can ask any questions about this au in the ask box lmao I think I'm gonna stick to this au more on this account ;)
This is an au after the war!
The decepticons were a group of mostly lower class bots that started a revolution against the higher classes, demanding equality and better treatment. The autobots were a group of higher class bots that supported the decepticon cause but believed in peaceful protest instead of violence. Both factions fought against Cybertron's leaders, the original primes.
After the conflict ended, the autobots and decepticons joined to rebuild Cybertron and Megatron ended the decepticons and Optimus passed the matrix down. And they decided to raise a kid :D
(in my au, sparklings are created when both partners donate a piece of their spark and forge it together, creating a new and small spark. The sparkling's body is either created with spare parts or the spark (don't ask how lmao idk) "scans" both the parents and creates a body based on both the parents' features)
Optimus became the "stay at home dad" while Megs got a job at an office (which he says is absolute t0rture), quite the opposite of his former jobs lmao 💀
#art#au#digital art#photoshop#character design#decepticons#autobots#redesign#original design#megatron#optimus#megop#oc#megatron x optimus prime#story building#transformers#I've decided to stick to this au instead of the other one i was working on in this account because the other one is too dark in my opinion#im sry lmao i just didnt rly like the idea of Megs hurting Optimus since i rly like Megop#as for the kid he's an oc of mine and I'd say he's around 4 years old in Cybertronian years

Tfp Headcanons:
Orion Pax from the Shattered Glass Transformer Prime Universe was always a renowned scholar. He had published countless influential papers and is a professor on more than one subjects. Meanwhile, Megatronus was an illiterate gladiator who had been finding some of his writing from data pads that he secretly stole from guards and audiences, and had been teaching himself to read with it while alone in his chamber at night. Eventually, Megatronus managed to sneak away from the arena for a few days when he learned this professor is visiting Kaon to write papers on the politics of the location. And when Orion came, Megatronus found him and begged him to teach him how to write and read, so he can also bring influence in this world through literature, like he did.
Orion Pax agreed, and so, he meets with Megatronus daily in secret, where he taught him reading, math, science, politics, arts, everything he knows. But other than technical knowledge, he also taught him about morality, empathy, problem solving, as well as how to be compassionate, persuasive, and loveable, as well as other wisdoms.
And even after Orion left, he continued exchanging letters with Megatronus to keep teaching him. This lasted for many Cybertronian years, and Orion tried to find ways to come back to Kaon as often as possible.
It was because of his teachings that Megatronus was able to fight back against his oppressors successfully, and persuade others to help him and all those that are oppressed as well. It was because of his teachings that Megatronus was able to start successful and none-violent revolutions to hope to create a more just society on Cybertron.
So when Orion changed and turned against Cybertron, it greatly confused Megatronus. This was the mech who taught him to be kind, to be honest, to be selfless and compassionate. Who helped him to become who he was today. But yet this mech turned against his own teaching more than anyone else.
But despite so, Megatronus was determined to hold onto Orion’s teachings, even if he himself doesn’t anymore.

❕ This post contains spoilers for Transformers: ONE.
Transformers ONE edit
⤷ Plastique Noir - Catedrais em Chamas
This song matches with D-16 / Megatron's vision of everything that happened during the movie, including his relationship with Orion, Sentinel's betrayal, the new upcoming Cybertron in war era and the consequences of everyone's actions.
If you wanna know the translation and my whole ass rant about why I chose each scene for each part, everything is under the cut!
Again, this should be all interpreted in D-16 / Megatron's point of view.
[Millions in despair, I don't understand]
This phrase can be seen in two ways: Representing how he wants to destroy the Cybertron that Sentinel built, all that Sentinel ruled and owned, and Megatron doesn't understand why everyone got so desperate as he destroyed it all. In his vision, they should be grateful that he's destroying everything that someone as bad as Sentinel, the Betrayer, built and took care of. Megatron also doesn't understand how all Cybertronians, mostly the low-class who suffered the most, could follow Sentinel's system for so many years without noticing his antics and behavior.
[Putting your faith in the wrong guy]
Pretty self explanatory. Everyone on Cybertron trusted Sentinel "Prime", only to be betrayed by him. Once Megatron learned about the truth behind Sentinel, he got furious that he put so much faith in him.
[Talking about merit doesn't make sense]
This shows how Megatron would think that Orion Pax / Optimus Prime getting the Matrix of Leadership and speaking like he deserved it shouldn't make sense. D-16 wanted Orion by his side, he believed that Orion would join him to rule Cybertron, and then Optimus Prime appeared once he got the Matrix, leaving Megatron in disbelief.
[If a dark past creates an arid future]
This is about his view on Sentinel's situation in specific. How Sentinel killed all the Primes in the past, and how he's finally getting what he deserved. This would be his arid future, according to Megatron.
[I wish there was a tsunami over the cathedrals]
[The skies would be gained by dark smoke]
[It would also rain ashes]
The "cathedrals" here would be all those things that Sentinel once ruled, including the entirety of Cybertron. How Megatron wanted to destroy it all, to rule it all, to cause a revolution and be the one true leader. This is the beginning of everything, of a new era, a new revolutionary group called Decepticons.
[I wish there was a tsunami over the cathedrals]
[The weight of all the aces]
Now in this line, the cathedrals would be his relationship with Orion. A tsunami destroys everything, and D-16 / Megatron's actions destroyed absolutely everything they had, even if he never wanted it to end like that. Their bond being friendship or not, it's all over now. About the aces, ace cards either begin or end a match, depending on the game. In this case, Megatron is reflecting about the weight of ending everything he and Orion once had. The impact, the weight, the consequences, and how it would now change everyone's lives in the upcoming war.
This was fun to create, thank you if you read it this far! If it's not too much trouble, I highly encourage reblogging this post, I put a lot of thought on this edit lol. Again, thank you <33

Chin up Pax…
Original post from Bubblepunk
Prewar, Orion Pax and Megatronus were friends. Together the two worked to promote Megatronus's plan for a new Cybertron, a place where a bot could be who they wanted. The revolution was near, working caste bots growing restless. Those who had spent eons slaving away for the upper castes, turned their audials to this new powerful voice.
But as power grows, morals corrupt.
The renowned gladiator and scribe that Orion Pax knew was slowly descending into a tyrannical leader. The once philosopher king, corrupted by his own criticisms.
Even before the final council plea, Orion knew his friend was gone. He could see it in his optics, the slow corruption.
The day of the Council hearing, was that final strike of the gavel. As Megatron declared his idea to overthrow the old guard, revolt against the Iacon Council, and place himself as Cybertron's new ruler, Orion lost him.
The promised philosopher king was no more.
A new one was needed.
Orion's approach to the center sealed the two bot's fates.
Orion's speech to the council was filled with optimism for a new future for Cybertron. A new era of peace, of autonomy. While a violent revolution wasn't ideal, it would be something that happens if the Council does not change. Orion promised that it would come, but offered ways for the Council to avoid it.
Megatron faded into the background as Orion spoke, his more pacifist stance resonating more with the Council. As Orion finished his speech, he turned to face the former gladiator. Sorrow filled Orion's optics, as rage filled Megatron's.
Megatronus was Megatron, Orion Pax was Optimus Prime
Megatron was betrayed, Optimus Prime was sparkbroken
Megatron was enraged, Optimus Prime was optimistic
Megatron was a Decepticon, Optimus Prime was an Autobot
Megatron was the tyrannical leader, Optimus Prime was the philosopher king
