I got pinged by @theviridianbunny and @wanderingaldecaldo if I am correct, because I did check again and imidiatley forgot because my brain is like a shirt that laid somwhere in the forest for 5 years. Rotting away with lots of holes. Even my writing got worse, at least it feels like that. Not like story writing (that maybe too. I don't know), my normal writing. So many mistakes lateley. Strange.
ANYWAYS.
WIPS! What am I up to?
Here is the Info: Not much.
I'm still writing chapter 52 of "Bringing back the sun"
Her is a sneek peak
“But… How comes he was sober? We drunk like thirsty mules.”
“He mostly drinks alcohol-free beer nowadays.”
“Really? Why?”
Misty sat down beside her loved one with a sad smile.
“You see… The moment Delamain contacted him, he was already shocked, but sure to give his all to save you. When Arasaka raided his clinic to get you, holding him at gunpoint, even knocking him down to the ground… Something died that day as he had to watch how they just took you away and with that the chances to save you. Even if you had survived, it was clear that Arasaka wouldn’t let you live. He felt so guilty that he couldn’t stop them, couldn’t save you and that your mother wasn’t able to burry you like you deserved it, he fell into a deep, deep pit. He closed his clinic and no one was able to reach him anymore. When we went to his place, he wouldn’t open the door, when we called we ended in his mailbox. Only Valerie could get trough to him, and it seemed that alcohol kept him company till then.”
Jackie looked at Misty in shock. Now it made sense why he gained weight and why he was looking tired and exhausted.
“We have to thank Valerie that we still have him around. He still sometimes has to fight with some things, his arm hasn’t gotten better with the drinking, he has to rest it a lot. Your death had an impact on all of us, babe…”
The sadness in his girlfriend’s face left him with a sting in his heart. He hadn’t thought about it much yet, but alone the way Vincent reacted when he saw the Delamain yesterday should have shown him.
I'm working on a fun "project" or... Idea? Don't know how to say it.
I got inspired by a picture taken by @heywoodvirgin in which Jackie sits in a sports car and he is just way too big for it what makes it kind of look like a Mario Kart character.
So I'm trying to draw Nori and him as Mario Kart Characters with their own cars. I think it will be fun! And tbh... I invite you to use this prompt as well :) It would be like our own Cyberpunk Kart or something like that.
What else... Not much tbh. I'm planning to buy a 3D printer and learn more blender so I can make so cool figures and paint them, so... maybe you hear from that in the future.
Name: Neo Bowser City (aka Koopa City in PAL regions)
Debut: Mario Kart 7
Do you ever think of all the weird locations we only ever see in Mario Kart games? Despite being the biggest of all of Mario's spin-off franchises, when you really get down to it, remarkably few Mario Kart courses are actually based on established Mario locations!
It's not none, there's the occasional Donut Plains and Tick-Tock Clock and Airship Fortress, but most of the courses are these weird one-off locations we never see outside the context of that specific racetrack.
But have you ever taken a moment to step back and like, think of the Lore Implications of some of these places?
Like okay! Bowser just owns this whole dang cyberpunk city and we only ever see it in the context of Kart Racing! How messed up is that?!
One day Mario and Friends were looking for new places to race, and Bowser must have said something like "Gwah-hah-hah! I bet you puny punks could NEVER beat me in a race in my cyberpunk metropolis!" and right then and there it was established that Bowser owns a cyberpunk metropolis. Neo Bowser City is a city that exists in the Super Mario World and aside from returning in other Mario Kart games, it hasn't been acknowledged before or since.
Neo Bowser City first appeared in Mario Kart 7, as the third course in the Star Cup. Despite its flashy visuals, it actually doesn't really have a whole lot going on. It's a difficult track with some tight turns made more difficult by the rain making things more slippery, but besides that it doesn't really have any of the Wacky Obstacles that define so many Mario Kart courses.
Then it returned in Mario Kart 8 looking more gorgeous than ever! The bright colors really pop out, and the whole track is just oozing with detail that really emphasizes the scale of this city!
But like, the emphasized scale really only further raises the question of where this exists in the Mario World. Clearly, the fact that Bowser is plastered all over the billboards and the fact it's named "Neo Bowser City" helps us deduce that this city probably belongs to Bowser. Is this located in Bowser's Kingdom? Just how big is Bowser's Kingdom? And why does he own so many separate castles?
Maybe Neo Bowser City exists in the future? Is this a bad timeline? I mean, Mario Kart is allowed to have time-travel shenanigans. There's a Splatoon battle arena and that exists thousands of years in the future so sure, dust off Mario's Time Machine and head to the bad future where Bowser wins. Should've pressed that New Super Mario Bros. big yellow P-Switch!
I asked my friend Mod Chikako for their input and their theory is that Neo Bowser City isn't the future of Mario's world, but of our world. Clearly Bowser just couldn't take Wreck-It-Ralph losing the Oscar vote!
But in that case I guess it's a cooler cyberpunk future than the one we're living in right now. Corporate monopolies that run mass-surveillance with little government intervention due to their extreme wealth giving them extensive political power? No thank you! Neo Bowser City has bright neon colors, and flying cars! If I'm going to live in a dystopia, I want it to be a fun one. The only advertisements I want to see plastered everywhere are ones advertising Bowser!
Boo! That's the bad guy! Thumbs down!
The course returns again in that pitiful mobile game with another redesign, this time letting us see his Coney Island Disco Palace off in the distance. Does Bowser live in his Neo City? Is this worldbuilding we've been missing out on for decades, finally answered by a kart racer? Is this the capital city of Bowser's Kingdom? Am I once again falling victim to my perpetual hubris of overthinking the Mario franchise?
Really, I can't offer too much in terms of wacky fan theories, because I'm still thinking about this location existing in the first place. I'd love to know the Lore and worldbuilding here, but I guess the nature of Mario's canon is that it doesn't need to be over-analyzed. Bowser simply owns a cyberpunk metropolis, we'll only ever see it in the context of kart racing, and maybe that's okay.
Of course, this post wouldn't be complete if I didn't mention Dinohattan from the 1993 Super Mario Bros. Movie, which we've barely talked about on this blog somehow. You see, when the meteor hit, some of the dinosaurs escaped into a parallel timeline where they then evolved into humans, and then they built Dinohattan instead of Manhattan. Get it? Yeah, that movie is all sorts of bonkers. I wouldn't say it's very good, but I kinda love it. I'd recommend checking it out, if only to see a vastly different take on Mario than you'd be used to.
Anyway I bring this up because it's a completely separate instance of a version of Bowser building a large cyberpunk metropolis, and it actually predates Neo Bowser City! Do you think they could be connected? Are Dinohattan and Neo Bowser City one and the same...?
i wanted to do a little peek behind the scenes for yall cuz i know a lot of u are interested in my process, so lets jump right in!
first off here is a look of the animation itself in blender, with the original meme as a comparison, which can be found here btw!
the background itself was made to each shot, so the actual zoom out is a mess of meshes re-arranging themselves to line up for the next shot (i have 2 bunliths with associated cams that switch between shots so i can move things to set up the next shot while the other cam is live)
the assets were all made from scratch! this project was essentially a 'dry run' for my next game, which will be made using this style (the same could be said about bunlith herself: testing out the pipeline for expressive, easy to read ps1 style visuals)
i the space background painted a few years ago as concept art for said future game (this game has been a concept since before bloodborne psx started development!). heres a full res, non pixelated version of the art if you are interested!
and here is how it looks in unreal engine! note the pink distance fog which was something i really wanted to experiment with for a very long time as changing the ps1 fog color is the quickest way to change the vibe and i was curious if i could pull off a color as bold as pink
and that's basically everything! thanks for checking it all out 😃
once again, very fun project to work on on the side while i plug away at finishing bloodborne kart!
When I started the astrology course I found out that you can be a researcher in the area and you can publish official works on any topic and here I am, already training for that.

Luffy - 1, 2, Switch, Eye Toy, and games with motion controls - the faster the better
Zoro - Nioh, Ghost of Tsushima, Sekiro Shadows Die Twice - he loves something with katanas and as high a difficulty as possible
Nami - Payday, Thief, Hitman - stealth but ones where you either get bank or murder people in elaborate ways, as well as Sea of Thieves and she gets the whole crew in on playing
Usopp - he's huge on FPS games, mainly ones that are a power fantasy like Halo, Gears of War, but also loves Sniper Elite games and Jedi Fallen Order/Survivor. The out of left field one though is Risen 2 as he gets to be a captain of his own crew
Sanji - I'll say now he hates Cooking Mama although he's really good at it - he loves Dance Dance Revolution, SIFU, those weird free Steam dating sims, but also loves fishing minigames
Chopper - any and all farming type sims like Animal Crossing, Stardew Valley, and if he plays an RPG he can never be mean to anyone and reloads hours of game to make sure he's made the kindest choices
Robin - No Man's Sky, Tomb Raider games, she gets lost in big games to try and find those one of a kind weapons and gear to store in her in-game house - for example Bethsoft RPGs and making her house a museum
Franky - Cyberpunk 2077, The Turing Test etc as can be expected, but also plays a load of Sims titles as it reminds him of his Franky Family, he also plays online games with them where he can
Jinbe - he barely plays any games and has to have a lot explained to him, but he plays alongside others, likes the Buzz quiz games as it tests his knowledge, plays some Mario Kart, and wildly dominates at fighting games but no one knows how or why, even him.
so i play sims, stardew valley, gta5, cyberpunk, mario kart, mario party, super smash bros, animal crossing, and lots more i’m probably forgetting!!!! i was also realllllllly into among us when it first came out lmao
In general, I want it to be more "RPG" and "Sim" than Action-Adventure.
I want more character building, roleplaying and customization so there's reason to play multiple characters. I want the story to branch out widely.
I'd want them to make the game worth living in too. So more simulation stuff, more side content and more 'chill' things. They could easily take a page out of the Yakuza franchise.
Imagine if the races and brawling side activities were expanded out into fully integrated content like the Arena and Dragon Kart in Yakuza.
Imagine there being different street carts and restaurants you could go to and order from, like in the Yakuza games.
Imagine just heading to a bar and being able to play pool. Or arcade games. Or darts. And there's progression behind these games so you're encouraged to engage with them.
Cyberpunk should've been a game where you not only sink hours into it playing a specific character, but you can also just spend hours and hours just chilling out in game and relaxing. Mini games and side content would absolutely be worthwhile to have.
I'm 5'2 and brown skinned. I have dark brown eyes and short black curly hair. I'm generally cheeky, sweet, playful, and extroverted. I'm a punk by music taste (mostly listening to alt rock, punk rock and a little bit of metal on the side) but a goth by fashion choice (minus the white foundation and dramatic eyeliner, though I still sport a sharp wing everyday).
My zodiac is Leo, so you know I have a hilarious amount of drama in my every move.
Some of my hobbies include drumming, skating (🛹), rollerblading, singing, and go karting
A little more about my life:
I'm a social butterfly, I have so so SO MANY friends, I enjoy talking to people a lot. I'm a Psychology major. I'm very crafty, the reason why I'm into jewellery making and have made tons of bracelets, cyberpunk jewellery, etc.
⚓️ give me a small description of yourself/your hobbies/your zodiac signs/life and i'll ship you with a driver
i actually think you'd mesh the best with yuki tsunoda. to start, yuki is a taurus, who are meant to be very compatible with leo's - with the whole intention of bringing out the best in each other, as taurus are known for being very attentive partners. with this in mind, i could absolutely see yuki soaking up your habits, and although they may not be his vibe, he would still be as attentive as you are to him, learning what he can about the things that you love. i could see yuki being secretly into punk-rock, especially after a good battle with his teammate (which he'd love you a lil extra for introducing him to it). he'd sooo encourage the social butterfly behaviour, and would probably make you even more extraverted than you already are. yuki would also just... steal the jewellery you make??? his now, sorry!

I've been working on a Tails-themed project for a little bit, called "Prower Prix" (Mind the pun), and I was wondering; Would Tails be interested in cassette futurism? (The OG Cyberpunk)
One of the tracks are going to be based off of that aesthetic, and this texture here (Which is still WIP, by the way,) is just one example of what you're going to see on the track.
This is one of the animations planned for it, by the way, minus some important effects, and a background.
If you want to race in the Prower Prix, I hope you have Sonic Robo Blast 2 Kart.
Sorry it took so long to respond, I was on a family trip with extended family and it was exhausting (not everyone gets along lol) so i needed a few days to recuperate.
First of all, loving the design of these Mileselectirc screens. Reminds me of Star Trek Next Gen sets.
Unfortunately I've never played Sonic Robo Blast. I'm not big on racing games just cause I'm not a very competitive person to begin with so I really have no drive to get into that game genre unfortunately.
But to answer the actual question, I think yes Tails would like cassette futurism. Cause look at all those 90s level styles from the OG games. Most of the tech in the series itself reminds me of that style here and there. So I like to think that, that is the style Tails would have grown up with (it'll probably change as her grows older) and he uses it subconsciously in some details of his tech. Plus it'd be the tech he used to take apart and rebuild when he was really little and just starting to get his hands on stuff to take apart and reverse engineer so he's more familiar with it.
