cocky motherfucker Rindou who works at Murasaki Sports that loves annoying you whenever you come by the store. he's a bit of a jerk with the way he acts, but still gives you staff discounts at checkout and a free sticker whenever you pop by because you once brought along your laptop while shopping and it had many weird alien, cat stickers on the cover. he recommends you a specific skateboard and he makes you buy it afterwards, claiming it's for making him waste saliva on explaining boards to a non-skater, but sets it up for free anyway and tells you the best spots to skate in the city. the board's not even for you anyway 一 you meant to buy it as a gift for your skater cousin, but okay, thanks, you'll pass along the message to your cousin, you guess... (you started skating ever since that day and gifted your cousin a pair of socks from New Era instead.)
you don't even know him that well 一 he's a friend of a friend of a friend from high school and you'd only met him once properly at a club party about a year ago when he accidentally got beer all over your shirt and threw you his expensive Carhartt jacket before running away. and then he somehow manages to befriend your BeReal later that night, reacts the middle finger to every post you make and you'll react it right back at him with a pissed off look on your face. he comments stuff like 'shit music' and 'u need a better playlist, hmu' when he sees whatever song you've been listening to when you take a BeReal but is always the first one to react to them.
he's still kind of sweet though. likes rapping along to whatever's playing on the speakers in store (you don't like to admit it, but you must say, he does have great music taste as he claims), but you'll always catch him twisting the volume knob to the left even though KOHH is playing whenever you come by to replace your wheels (of the skateboard he made you buy) or shop for a new cap and he's so cocky about it every time too. one time he made you wait for him about 15 minutes to close up the store and you expected to walk together to the train station until he turns the other direction and you hear beeping followed by car doors unlocking. "aren't you dumbass getting in?" he's already one foot in his car (a fucking Nissan GTR) with his left brow raised when you turned around 'cause you thought he disappeared into thin air and then stare at him dumbfounded as he starts the engine. ?????
he visits you at your own store (literally just opposite of Murasaki Sports) whenever you're in during his break and annoys the hell out of you. you sell phone cases and he likes trying on every single one he picks up only to never buy them and places them about 6° to the left that he knows make your skin crawl from the asymmetric position, but you'll catch him helping you tidy up the other out-of-place on-display phone cases and greet random customers that come in, as if he is the one working here and not you, and then only he tosses you either a Pocari or a Cola as a refreshment when he's gotta get back to work. he gives you (forces you to let him give you) a ride back home whenever your timing matches and'll quietly make sure the A/C isn't facing your face when you accidentally fall asleep in the passenger, but tells you to never sit in his car again 'cause he claims you get hair all over his seat and the sand-trapping mat below. ("y'all ladies and your hair-fall problem...")
one time your father caught the two of you bickering in the car over who's bar of Snickers it was but to him it looked like the two of you were kissing because of a perspective problem and he got so damn flustered. simply stepped into your home with his shoes on, scurrying after your old man to explain that nothing ever happened and then fist bumps your dog on the head who actually hates him like crazy, but doesn't bark at him this time. your mother makes him stay for dinner that night and you think that maybe he isn't so bad after all 一 as your best friend once suggested 一 when he makes your mother laugh like crazy (you realise then that he's a smooth talker with the elders) over dinner and your father starts asking him about sports attire because he's been wanting to get into jogging. but he keeps stepping on your toe under the table and you think he's deliberately annoying you but really, he just wanted to make you make your mother stop feeding him shrimp (he's allergic.)
#yeah like he's mad goofy but so damn annoying at the same time#u dont know if u like him or hate him#and#i think bereal is still big in tokyo right... i saw a lot of locals using it when i was there 2 weeks ago#at least i still use bereal all the way here 🙋🏻♀️#blabbers#rindou x reader#rindou haitani#tokyo revengers x reader#tokyo revengers

riize reaction to reader's cats?
# WHEN THEY MEET YOUR PET CATS ; 7riize.
⚝ bf!riize x fem!reader | fluff | bf au ⚝ note ; i'll be honest,, this one was kinda hard to write </3 but i hope u like it anon! thank u for requesting :) + reqs are open !
# SHOTARO. - he's not the biggest fan of cats, but that immediately changed when he met your pet cats. he learns so much more about them and helps you take great care of them, often taking cute photos of them too. he keeps them all in a special album in his gallery titled 'our babies' <3 and like the fashionista he is, he'll definitely get your cats cute cat outfits too!!!
# EUNSEOK. - he's always been a dog person, so he wasn't very fond of your pet cats at first. but after spending days playing with them, watching tv with them, feeding them, and just being around them, he starts to get why you loved them so much. now, he'll even pitch in and help you bathe them. it's always a battle of chaos and the both of you end up drenched, but the laughter and smiles exchanged makes it all worth it.
# SUNGCHAN. - being the animal lover he is, the same goes for your cats. he loooves playing with them, and he's content with just watching them do whatever it is that cats do. he somehow manages to teach your cats tricks, and now your cats know how to pass you the tv remote and spin around like a ballerina. you don't really get the point of the tricks, but seeing sungchan's eyes light up with pride and joy is the prettiest thing you've ever seen, so you'll just let them be.
# WONBIN. - he is the ULTIMATE cat dad. you thought your cats loved you? wrong. they love wonbin. he does everything with them, carrying them in one arm while cooking dinner for the both of you with the other arm, falling asleep in bed with them all snuggled up in his arms, and playing together with cat toys for hours on end. he pets them softly as they eat, making sure they're well fed. he now saves your contact in his phone as 'cat mom' <3
# SEUNGHAN. - your cats are now also his cats. he takes care of them seriously, making sure they're always safe and healthy and happy, especially when you're not around. he even does research on cat food to pick the most nutritious one for them, and picking out cat toys that wouldn't cause any possible injuries. he only wants the best for your cats <3
# SOHEE. - they'll definitely have a love-hate relationship. he finds them adorable and so funny, but the scratches and hisses they throw at him sometimes makes him upset. you'll feel like you have actual children living in your apartment, having to break apart 'fights' where your cats wouldn't let go of sohee's cap and he was shouting for your help. but at the end of the day, they always make up and end up asleep together, sohee's arms protectively wrapped around your cats while they slept peacefully.
# ANTON. - like eunseok, he's a dog person. he's also lowkey scared of cats because they seem so intimidating sometimes... it'll take time for him to warm up to them. but once he does, they become the best of friends. anton takes cutes selfies with them, as well as filming a bunch of silly tiktoks. he even gets pictures of them made into custom stickers, placing them on his laptop, his phone case, and his headphones. they're family to him now.

Finally gonna be able to play Veilguard in a few days!!! My laptop is so old that in order to even play Inquisition I had to download some custom INI that tweaked settings the game didn't normally let you change, but I'm calling in an old favor (college graduation gift) and finally getting my own PC! Any non spoiler tips or suggestions for Veilguard? Specific question, When I binged through the whole series this Spring/Summer I was a rogue every time, and played as Aeducan male HoF, Human (obv) female Hawke and Lavellan male Inquisitor. Following the patern would have me play a Quanari gal for Veilguard, and well, obviously the Quanari PCs looked pretty rough in the pre release footage, and in Inquisition, had the lowest amount of special dialog options. I think I saw you playing as a Quanari, though I've had like every Dragon Age tag blocked all month, so I was curious if you had any feedback on how playing a Quanari was in Veilguard if that was the case? Thank you!
Answering under the cut for the sake of people who care about cats but not dragon age.
The qunari they chose to showcase before the game was released were BAD. i cannot believe they used such bad examples. Their foreheads just looked so bulbous and smooth and weird??? It is totally possible to make a good looking qunari in game.
That being said, I never ended up playing as my qunari guy yet. I did the intro and a couple of the first quests and then realized it would be SO much funnier to play as a dalish elf for my Solavellan world state and I had to go back.
I obviously can't really comment on the amount of special dialogue for a qunari rook in Veilguard, but I will say that from the little bit I played as him the camera angles were good. In Inquisition I think you spend half the game with your head cut off during dialogue
and here's my beloved Valo-Shok that I will eventually play as. I'm not great in character creator but I still think he's way better than whatever horror they were using to showcase qunari
can you tell i miss black scleras for qunari?

Headcanons about Living in the HOL
1- [x]
2- [x]
3- [x]
Now for more!
- You have suggested therapy to the brothers. A lot. They still haven’t agreed, but you’re going to keep trying because even with you doing all you do FUCKING HELL do these boys have trauma to deal with.
- You’ve gone down and visited Lilith’s memorial in the basement a several times. You talk to her and occasionally lay a flower on her ‘grave’ and thank her for helping you in the small ways she’s been able to.
- You hired an artist to make a family portrait and have everyone in it; even Lilith. It hangs in the living room over the fireplace.
- You’ve grown to... tolerate Solomon’s cooking. You’ve told him point blank that the food isn’t really edible. You’ve told him he’s terrible at cooking. But it’s in one ear and out the other. It normally goes as such: MC: “Solomon. Honey. I love you. But your cooking is rancid!” Solomon: “You love me?!” 8D “Let me make you dinner!”
- Diavolo has plans for you to eventually teach at RAD. Mostly to teach about Earth history and cultures; which has led to you studying extra hard and wondering why Solomon isn’t going to be helping you teach since he’s lived through history. But Diavolo’s plan is for him to teach ancient languages.
- You spend some nights at the palace every month. The brothers always get jealous when you go. Especially when you come back with a tell-tale limp. Or being carried back home.
- You were sadly at ground zero when Luke snuck into Asmo’s room and his innocence became lost since Asmo had porn of himself playing on his laptop and was ‘enjoying’ it (because of course he faps to videos of himself). You tried to stop the little angel but he’s like an actual child and darts the moment you blink. Simeon was outraged, but you pointed out that Luke didn’t knock. Asmo was glad you stuck up for him because he was certain he was headed for a bath of holy water otherwise. It took Luke a month before he could stand to be around Asmo again. It took longer for Luke to look at him again.
- Since Satan is not allowed to have a real cat (not that Satan cares as he has at least 10 ‘hidden’ ones), Mammon bought him a realistic robot cat for his room. Satan nearly cried tears of joy. Satan did cry when a book-a-lance fell and broke it. Lucifer replaced it so that Satan didn’t start destroying stuff once the sadness went away.
- Lucifer knows about the cats. He lets Satan think it’s a secret so that Satan won’t try to get an amount that would be noticeable. You found this out when you went to bring Lucifer some coffee and found him petting one of Satan’s cats. You were sworn to secrecy.
- You tried edible underwear with Beel once. And only once. He accidentally bit your thigh and you have small scars from the indents of his teeth. He felt awful about it, still does, and anytime he’s between your legs for fun he kisses the scars in apology. Also he found the rest of the edible underwear you’d intended to use with others and ate them like a snack. You’ve decided to not bother with them anymore.
- Belphie and Satan ask you to every Anti-Lucifer League meeting. If you don’t attend, they email you the minutes of their meeting to see if you wanna join in in pranks.
- Despite your bedroom lock being enchanted, Diavolo can and has waltzed into your room and started cuddling you. Barbatos chastizes him every time as he comes in with him, but it still happens.
- You have shown Simeon the movie ‘Sister Act’. It’s now his favorite movie. You two sometimes sing ‘Ave Maria’ together, stomping and clapping the beat. Luke joins in when he can.
-You had a custom plush made for Levi of his goldfish. He cried tears of joy and it now sits in a glass case in his room.

Bolting
“I really think the media is blowing it out of proportion. This isn’t a new thing you know?” Petra was working on cracking the formidable locks on the door to the old woman’s apartment. She let out a sigh, the vibrating lock pick had failed, so she rummaged in her many pockets for a different tool.
She went on: “I mean, this has always happened in big cities. People get so emotional, bent out of shape about it. And, you know, I get it!” The balloon on the inflatable lock pick let out a sharp pop. Petra’s dark eyes sparkled with delight. She was very good at picking locks. Probably one of the best. And yet, she was also far too cool to act like what she’d done was a big deal. With a deliberate and professional casualness she went on with her story.
“I get it, I really do! The idea of dying alone is terrifying. The idea of dying alone, no one noticing.” She turned the handle in the door. It clicked.
“The world going on without you?” She pushed, then stood, tucking the tool back into her pocket. She put her shoulder to the door and shoved.
“It’s all distilled for us in these cases.” The door opened to darkness and dust.
The rotten smell coming from the apartment had been an apparition in the hall, impossible to pinpoint or rule out as a figment of your imagination. But, the neighbors noticed. They noticed how the smell would seem to change location and strength. They noticed how it was so much worse when heat index warnings kept everyone inside. But now? The seal of the door broken, all bets were off. The odor was real, pungent, corporal: death. The air from the dark apartment was cool, heavy with stillness. When I first started this job the smell of a decaying human corpse would have been all that I noticed. So overwhelming and distinct. But, from experience, I knew to expect other scents, the staleness of food. The very particular smell of a neglected fish tank. This time there was something else: something verdant and a little damp, a green smell. Petra was looking for a light switch just inside the door. The space was lit by cracks of light filled with dust motes that fell from drawn curtains. The old woman was on the couch, a colorful crocheted blanket drawn up over her too small to really cover her. Her little frail body was curled up. I hoped she didn’t die painfully.
I took in the rest of the room, my eyes now adjusting to the light. A pleasant little space. Photos of the woman and a man, presumably her husband, told a story of travel: There they were at the grand canyon, on a small sailboat, at a cafe somewhere that felt European. Not all of the photos had been hung up, there were more empty frames and prints in a pile on a shelf just below. This seemed like a recent project of the deceased. One she had abandoned. The photo on the top of the pile waiting to be framed was a large print of just the man holding a very unhappy looking tabby cat kissing it tenderly on its head. He had to be dead, her husband. That’s why there was no one to notice when she vanished too. We had both fallen silent for a bit. Working for a morgue can make you callous and flippant in the presence of the deceased– but there was something about the stillness of these kinds of rooms, where a person had died alone that made that impossible. Even Petra couldn’t continue her lecture. “Let’s look around.” I said in a hushed voice. “Then we’ll start packing up.” By which I meant, the dead woman.
We walked around as if in an art gallery, not touching anything, taking in all of the details of the well lived-in space. Two desks, one with a computer that had been used recently, the other mostly empty with an older and very dusty laptop, the closet which contained mostly small clothes that would fit the old woman, but in the back there was also a single moth-eaten men’s suit. Prescription pill bottles, most very recent, there were a great many. And so many books. Shelves lined every wall, some custom built to go over the doors, and even under the raised bed. Many were on physics, some on education. “Hey where do you think this goes?” Called Petera from the next room. She was investigating a door just off of the living room. It was down a little three-step flight of steps. “Probably just laundry or storage.” I said. Yet, Petra has never met a door she didn’t want to open, and this one wasn’t even locked. She opened it, and the apartment filled with light. On the other side was another world: the bright midday sun, a vast beautiful garden.
The smell of death vanished beneath the rich scents of soil and grass, pollen and leaves. The greenery, dense and deep, butterflies and bees alighted on bright blossoms, vines swayed lazily in a breeze. The effect of opening such a door was of a magic trick. Like finding a portal– for a moment, squinting I wondered lazily if some absent-minded angel of death, come to collect the old woman’s soul, had forgotten to close the way back to Heaven. “Woah-” Said Petra, who almost never is surprised or impressed by anything. My brain, now catching up with my imagination, I said. “I didn’t know this unit had a greenhouse.” As if I’d even bothered to check about such a thing. As if huge greenhouses were typical things you found in city apartments. But, it made a lot more sense than a portal to Heaven. We were on the top floor, so there could have been a terrace on the back of the building we didn’t notice when entering. It struck me what a brilliant idea it was to have your own garden in the city. Fresh vegetables were something of a luxury. But, even if I had a greenhouse of my own I don’t think I know where to start when it came to growing things. I remember when my mother put the stem of a lettuce plant in a dish of water on our windowsill. This was in one of our many miserable little apartments, shortly after our second migration, in the days of the 4th pandemic. The apartment was in one of the machine-printed buildings with lumpy striped walls and mysterious drafts.
We had just started to settle in, though dad kept on saying how we’d “find something better soon” – we all lived in that one room and though no one would say it, we knew we were lucky. The borders had closed soon after we’d made it in. Since my father was a doctor we still might have gotten through after– if we ever made it far up enough in the line to speak to anyone, if that person would even believe us and not just take one look at our skin color and send us away. There would be a border guard on our third migration that refused to believe my father was a real doctor. It enraged him. By then we were old hands and moving and dealing with officials. My father had said “If you won’t believe in medicine you may instead believe in this.” and bribed the man who was all too happy to take it. Fortunately, he didn’t notice the utter contempt in my father’s eyes as he handed over the money we’d saved for our deposit. But, on that day when my mother put the lettuce stalk in the dish of water, explaining to me how we could grow more, I think we still had a lot more hope as a family. My mother said that the trick of re-growing lettuce so you could eat it twice had “gone viral” when she was in college. Indeed the lettuce plant did grow. Remarkably fast. In days there were a cluster of leaves emerging from the heart. Soon they grew tall and pale leaning towards the light of the window.
But, the regrown lettuce, fed on only water, and what little light made it between the 3D printed shelters was nothing like the head that we’d bought in the store. That plant had been deep green and sturdy. This new incarnation, for it seemed the plant refused to die, put out a web of gossamer translucent roots into the water. The leaves were white, starved for sunlight, thin, unnaturally long and ghostly. I kept expecting it to die, but it went on growing as my mother religiously kept the water dish full. “Doesn't it need dirt?” I asked my mother, gently touching the long white leaves. “Probably that would be better. But we don’t have any soil so there is nowhere for it to put down its roots.” I was hurt when I came home to discover that my parents decided that we should eat it. It seemed disrespectful to its valiant effort at survival. “Lettuce is an annual. It doesn't make a good house plant. Anyway these conditions aren’t good enough for it to bolt.” “Bolt? Like run away?” “No, that’s just what you call it when an annual goes to seed. But store bought plants never produce usable seeds. If we don’t eat it it will just die and go to waste.” I remember the taste of those leaves, insubstantial, like water. Looking back I’m certain we also had to eat it that day because there was little else for dinner. And we’d reached the point when fresh vegetables were beyond our means, except perhaps on holidays. “That wasn’t exactly incredible.” Said my father of the re-grown lettuce. “But we’ll all find something better soon!” “Mom, do you think when a lettuce regrows like that, is it a new plant? Or is it still the same plant that grew in a field somewhere and had sunlight?” “Well, that’s a very interesting question!” Said my mother laughing. “I don’t know.”
“Our daughter is so smart.” Said my father pinching my cheek in the way that always made me angry but that also secretly I loved. I wondered if the little plant could remember the way that it was before, when it was green and strong. When it could have bolted away, producing its own strange flowers, its own strange little seeds, even if they were seeds that everyone said could never grow.
It must have, right? Why else would it have even made the effort?
Shaking off the memory I looked more closely at the dead woman’s garden. On closer inspection it had gone a little feral. Weeds packed the raised beds. A dripping sprinkler system explained why all of the plants weren’t simply dead.
“Someone should take care of this.” I said.
“I’m certain someone will. Though, my money’s on this getting converted to an extra bedroom.” Said Petra.
“It’d make a terrible bedroom. It has too many windows. It would be freezing in winter.” I felt the need to defend this old woman’s project. But then, something caught my eye: “Look, Petra! Bolting lettuce!”
“Bolting? Huh?”
“It’s gone to seed.” I said, looking at the long browning stem that rose from the rosette of familiar dark green lettuce leaves.
“I didn’t know you were such a gardener.”
I’ve never stolen anything from our “clients” homes. But, that day I took a few of the seeds from that lettuce plant. I hoped that the old woman wouldn’t mind. And what does it matter? They will never grow anyway.

Always Black Cats And Bitter Coffee:
Chapter 2 [part 1] : night of writing
[Next -> CHAPTER 2: part 2]
Warnings: mentions of vomiting and nightmares (very vaugly at the end), secret keeping, nothing else, I think
Word count: 2k (2473)
The bell of the Café door chimed, causing Blue to drift his eyes to the door, not wanting to stand up until the last possible moment because of the cat currently resting in his lap. Luckily for him it hadn't been a customer, not that he really expected there to be - it was 9 am on a monday and as much as students on this campus never slept and had an unhealthy coffee addiction - very few would be here this late on a monday night, especially so close to midterms.
Blue was sitting by the table in the furthest corner from the entrance, in the back right next to the counter in case an actual customer had come in. He loved his boss, he really did, but he still doesn’t understand her need to keep the Café open until 1 am. As he looked at the figure approaching him, his eyes crinkled a little - black mask that adorned his face shifting at the movement of his cheeks. He gave a welcoming smile to his friend -Chris.
Well Blue supposes most people call him Chan, but he likes Chris more. In his words it just sounded better to his ears. Chan put the laptop in his hand on top of the table, across from the books spread out in front of Blue, slipping his backpack on the back of his chair before sitting down, accepting the coffee Blue had shoved his way.
“Laptop” Blue spoke, holding his hand out expectantly. “Hello Chris. How was your day Chris? Oh it was fine and yours? That's how you start a conversation.” Chan spoke before carefully giving his laptop to Blue- moving the chair he was sitting on next to the male with a cat on his lap.
“Oh, I’m sorry. I’m just kinda excited to write.” Blue let out a soft chuckle, opening the laptop, the bright screen illuminating his covered face. “ Nah, it's fine, '' Chan replied, fishing out the paper that explained the task he was supposed to complete by the end of the week. “ You do know you don’t have to help me with this, right?” Chan spoke before placing the assignment paper into Blue’s hands.
“ I know, I just need an outlet and the topic seems interesting. You know I can never give up the opportunity to write about the night. Plus it's not like I’m writing your whole essay.” Blue replied, shrugging his shoulders and taking the paper from Chan as his eyes quickly scanned over the explanation of what the essay should contain.
“Blue, we both know what happens when you help with my essays. You write way too much for the word limit, I have to edit most things out and get a perfect grade. I barely do the work so don’t discredit yourself like that.” Chan gave a knowing look to his friend as he finally sat down, moving away some of Blue’s notebooks to make room for his own. “I’m not discrediting myself, you are editing my work so technically you're still involved in the process. Plus how else are you going to stay a teacher's pet If I don’t do this.” Blue took a sip from his coffee, black coffee filled with so much sugar Chan gets cavities just looking at it, before his fingers started rapidly tapping on the keyboard. Leaving Chan all alone with his other homework before Blue told him to play some music.
Chan obliged, connecting his phone to the cafe speakers and lowering the volume so that the music would softly surround them. It was cold outside, but warm in the cafe. It was always warm in the cafe, whether that be because of the cats, the steam of the hot drinks served or just the amount of people that always ruffle in and out, Chan honestly didn't know which one.
The two seniors stayed in this silence, Chan working on other assignments or songs while Blue sat typing at the keys on his laptop. Only sign that he was aware of his surroundings and not completely consumed into his writing was the way his leg would bounce along with whatever beat was playing ( the cat, Sock’s if Chan remembered correctly, had left Blue’s lap a long time ago.)
Their routine only being interrupted when a customer would enter, looking like the walking dead and eyes lighting up when seeing Blue. Chan would always laugh at that. The students in this place seemed to think Blue was their savior, it had been understandable really. Blue was their closest and cheapest source of good coffee when it came to late night and they needed the caffeine to stay awake and finish whatever project they forgot about.
Chan had finished all his work a while ago, now going through Blue’s laptop while the other male was still busy on his. He had been going through the tracks Blue had composed for his class. The Blue haired male asked for his help to edit some parts and choose which song to give to their teacher for the monthly review.
The food Chris brough had been long gone, and it had been 1 am when Blue finally took their attention away from the screen. Eyes hurting from staring at it for hours. “Done?” Chan asked softly, looking at the way Blue was rubbing his eyes. “Hm, for now. I wrote enough but I haven't edited it or read it over yet.” Blue replied standing up and stretching before walking to the cafe doors, turning the ‘open’ sign around so that it would say closed. “ That's fine, I can do that, I need to at least do some things for my own essay.” Chan says with a laugh.
“True, could you just clean up the table please? I need to go check that the cats are asleep and they have enough water and things, then go check on some things for tomorrow before closing up the back.” Blue asked Chan while walking behind the counter, waiting for Chan’s “yeah sure” before disappearing into the rooms where the cats were kept at night. There were 5 cats in total, not including Blue’s own cat that would be going home with them.
Blue’s cat, called Bluestar after some character in a book series Blue read when he was young. The cat would always come with Blue to the cafe and then go home with him. About 20 minutes later both men had finished their tasks, Blue walking out of the back with his cat in his cage. Chan stood by the door waiting for Blue so that they could walk back to their dorms. “ Food and walk or home?” Chan asked. Blue’s eyes absolutely light up at the mention of food and a nighttime stroll, Chan swears sometimes that the male was more dog than cat.
“Food and walk” Blue said, both males walked out of the cafe after Blue made his final run down that everything was closed. He took his backpack from Chan and started walking, cat cage still in hand. “Although could we drop Bluestar off first? I don’t wanna walk around with him, he’s gonna get fussy because of the cold.” Blue asked Chan. “Sure”, the shorter male responded before continuing to walk to Blue’s dorm.
After a few moments of silence Chan decided to speak up, asking the question that's been bugging him since this morning “Are you okay? With the whole thing on friday? If you aren't comfortable with it we could figure something else out.”
“Chris, I would've said something if I wasn't okay with it. Plus it's like 70% of our grade. If I wasn't okay I would just suck it up” Blue replied.
“Blue that's not what I’m talking about and you know it.”
“Chris, it's been two years, please don’t bring this up.” Blue sounded tired saying it, as if he had to repeat the same thing over and over. Despite the dread in his stomach. Chan understood, he guessed it should've become tiring having to reassure people about the same thing over and over again.
“Blue listen I get you don’t want to talk about it, trust me I do. But it’s different now, the charges were dropped on lack of evidence. She’s free. You can’t blame me for worrying. Especially since you haven't even told any of the others. I just want to make sure you understand the dangerousness of this situation.” Chan’s voice sounded almost like he was pleading.
“Chris, I wouldn't have told anyone about her release, the only reason you and the babies know is because you were there when I got the call. I don’t blame you for worrying, I appreciate it, I really do. But it's not necessary, okay? I understand better than anyone how dangerous it can be. But I’m not going to let that stop me from living my life. Plus me telling the boys would only make this bigger than it is.”
Chan wanted to scream at Blue that, it was a big situation, it was a huge and dangerous situation. But he stayed silent the rest of the walk. He wouldn't disrespect Blue’s wishes of not telling their other friends at KQ, he knew the babies wouldn't either. He just hopes nothing bad happens. He knows it's fruitless, something bad is definitely going to happen, but Chan would like to live in denial a little longer.
They had walked slower than they realized because once they reached the Dorms it was 02:30 am. Meaning the store they would have gone to get snacks and walk to would be closed.
“Raincheck?” Blue asked while they were walking to his dorm, Chan’s dorm was only a few rows down so he would have walked past Blue’s anyway. Perfect excuse to walk them home and make sure that no sneaky pink haired girl would jump his friend. Definitely.
When Blue opened his dorm door and bid Chan goodbye, he didn't know what to expect, but seeing his two underclassmen cuddle up on the couch that they had positioned to look at the door was definitely not it. He put Bluestar down, letting the cat out of its cage as it immediately started walking towards Blue’s room.
Blue got an extra blanket and threw it over his two friends before silently shuffling off to his room. Taking off his mask and completing his nighttime routine before walking out to the kitchen located in their dorm. He would've just made something for himself, but knowing Seungmins nose when it came to food, he got out enough ramen for the three of them. Now you can’t judge Blue for this, it was the only thing he knew how to make, and he made it damn well if you would have asked him.
When the food was finished and he set it on the table, he heard a crash from where his friends were located on the couch. He looked at them, tangled in the blankets desperately trying to get away from one another while muttering curses. Seungmin was up first, after regaining his composure his face immediately went to the food on the table. “Well good morning to you,” Blue said laughing as I.N stood behind Seungmin, face confused and hair sticking every witch way.
“Why exactly were you two cuddled up on a moved couch in front of the door?” Blue asked, going to sit down while the two younger ones followed in suit. “We were waiting for you” I.N said as if it was the most obvious thing ever. Then Seungmin slapped him upside the head for exposing his cover. “I told you guys not to do that, I don't have early classes tomorrow, you do. You needed to sleep” Blue told the two.
“We know it's just….” Seungmin's voice died down as he shoved ramen in his mouth, an excuse to not talk. “You two are worried about Sani too? I just had this conversation with Chris. Everything is fine guys.” Blue said exasperated. He hated being worried over like a toddler.
“Everything will be fine once you tell Mingi-Huyng. Until then I am camping in front of that door when you work night shifts.” Seungmin said. I.N gave a small “Me too” while his mouth was still full of noodles. Usually Blue would fight on this, but honestly he didn't have the power for that right now. He also knew he would lose. He knew how serious this actually was but living in denial was better than actually having to face the truth of her possibly coming back.
Who was Blue kidding, she was back. His priv doesn't follow her for nothing. It's honestly only a race against time on who finds who first. Her finding him, or his friends at KQ finding her. He honestly didn't know which option was better. Finishing in silence and then going to his room, his underclassmen going into theirs, he couldn't stop the anxiety building in his stomach.
Why did it have to be now, and why did it have to be brought up in every conversation. He just hoped that this showcase thing would keep all his friends busy. He could find a way to deal with Sani on his own. Maybe. Possibly. Hopefully.
With a stomach full of food and anxiety, Blue went to bed, preparing himself for the nightmares and puking that would follow. They had started up again last week, when he got the call.
—---------------------------------------------------------
Minho woke up exactly 10 minutes before his alarm, bolting to the bathroom and releasing his dinner from the previous night. He hated this. They had gotten better, he knew they had. So why did it start again? Why did he wake up in a cold sweat, scared out of his mind sometimes even nauseous too.
He wanted to scream at whoever invented soulmates, really. What was the point in him having a constant link with his soulmates emotions, even being able to feel them if he was in a deep enough sleep, if he wasn't able to do anything.
They were getting better goddamnit. He knew they were, he had seen a few times when the color of the heart would change to yellow. He knew they were getting better, he had been ecstatic about it, because it broke him when they were down and he couldn't do anything. So why. Why did the nightmares have to come back, why did he have to wake up to a heart as white as the face of a ghost.
Why did his soulmate have to go through all this? Why couldn't he just find them? Why couldn't he just protect them from whatever caused this reaction? Why did fate have to be so cruel?

Glitch - chapter 1
~ nothing out of the ordinary ~
Olive pov
Sitting on my bed I celebrate to myself as I was finally able to catch chan on live, it's been hard for me to catch any of the members live due to time difference and so on. I love when I do catch them live because they get to express themselves solo and we get to know them more individually, don't get me wrong though I love when they do live together too! Duo's, trio's, the whole group I love it all.
Stays are so unhinged, why did Chan just reply to a comment that said, "chan can you pin me against the wall?", and chan just feeds into our delusional more by replying "say please", this man is gonna be the death of me and the rest of stays literally. I'd love to meet them in person but I really don't think it's necessary to fly all the way to Korea for a day and back just to meet them, I'm better off seeing them behind a screen.
I'm always a little sad when the lives come to an end, it's like it just started but they have things to do so it's understandable. Chan says his goodbyes give us a "hug", seriously though I would love to see what it looks from his point of view to get up and hug a screen, I'm laughing just thinking about it. Funny but it's sweet even though he can't actually hug us he makes an effort to at least try and hug us even if it isn't skin to skin.
Closing my laptop I get ready for bed, I'm a normal human being with a job and things to attend to I can't just lay around all day and night, though I wish I could that's just now how reality works. I have work at 9am at the library, to some people it might seem like a boring job but I love it! It's quiet and peaceful many people don't come in and I never have to deal with rude customers because everyone that comes into the library is nice and friendly, Overall it's the job for me and I love books so it's a win win.
I live in a 2 bedroom apartment and the only people who stay here are me and my pet cat jinx and it's enough room for the two of us. Though I have two bedrooms one is a guest bedroom and then my own personal bedroom, I figured it would be nice to have a guest bedroom just in case a friend or family member wanted to stay over/needed somewhere to stay for awhile. My apartment complex is quiet. People don't really cause ruckus around here I guess you can say I'm a sucker for quiet places.
Getting into bed I like to go over my day the good and bad, though there was no bad today I hope for no bad tomorrow or the next. My mind always has a tone of things swirling around inside it so that's mostly the way I fall asleep, just thinking about different things some completely unnecessary some necessary, feeling the tiredness in my eyelids I turn to my side and fall asleep.

The Body in the Bookstore (A Secret Bookcase Mystery) by Ellie Alexander #Review
The Body in the Bookstore (A Secret Bookcase Mystery) Cozy Mystery 1st in Series Setting - California Publisher : Storm Publishing (June 3, 2024) Paperback : 272 pages ISBN-10 : 1805084097 ISBN-13 : 978-1805084099 Kindle ASIN : B0D4RV4P8V Audiobook ASIN B0D64CW59W An addictively cozy and gripping murder mystery introducing a brand-new amateur sleuth and lovable heroine to the crime scene… Welcome to The Secret Bookcase, a quirky bookstore in a grand, converted manor house, where the selection of crime fiction is dangerously good. The store has been bookseller and events manager Annie Murray’s sanctuary ever since her dreams of starting a detective agency with her best friend died, literally, when Scarlet was murdered. Annie has never stopped trying to solve the mystery of her friend’s death, but her quiet life in leafy Redwood Grove, with its warm community of likeminded local business-owners and book-lovers, has provided the solace she needed. Until now. When a body is discovered in the bookstore during the town’s inaugural Mystery Fest, Anne finds herself catapulted to the centre of a real-life whodunit. Dusting off her criminology degree, Annie is determined to put her sleuthing skills to good use and catch the killer – before it’s too late. Dollycas's Thoughts In this first Secret Bookcase Mystery, we meet Annie Murray. She and her best friend Scarlet planned to start a detective agency after graduation with their criminal justice degrees. Then Scarlet was murdered. Annie has spent the better part of a decade trying to find her killer. Whenever she opens her laptop and brings up her spreadsheets of information and theories she thinks it will be the day something will jump out at her to move the case forward. Annie is working at The Secret Bookcase as a bookseller and events manager. The bookstore is a unique shop in a converted manor house with a thrilling crime fiction selection. Business has been slow and she knows to keep the place open it is going to take a major event. She comes up with the idea of a 3-day Mystery Fest that could involve all the local businesses and bring people from far and wide. The town is excited about the festival and most business owners are happy to be involved. Mystery Fest was off to a great start until a body was discovered in the bookstore. Some customers think it's fake and a prop for the festival, but Annie knows that is not the case. Soon she finds herself in the middle of another murder investigation. Can her criminology degree help her book the killer this time? or will it turn into another ice-cold case? ____ I love the theme of this new series from Ellie Alexander. A manor home repurposed into a really cool bookstore complete with themed rooms and a secret bookcase. The author's descriptions made it easy to envision every room and nook. I want to go there now, please. Annie Murray is a strong, smart, creative protagonist who has found her place in Redwood Grove. The quiet community gives her peace even though Scarlet's death is always on her mind. The bookstore is a huge part of her life and it needed a boost to keep the doors open. She had a great idea and was able to run with it. She is an excellent multitasker and able to juggle everything thrown at her. I love that she adopted Scarlet's tabby cat, Professor Plum. I had a very easy time getting invested in her life. We also meet her co-worker Fletcher, shop owner Hal, and Annie's friend Priya. Fletcher has "extensive knowledge and adoration" of Sherlock Holmes and has quite a knack for matching the right reader with the right canon followed by a dissertation on Sir Arthur Conan Doyle. Hal curated the store into a mystery lover's paradise but lately, book signing events were not bringing in people and foot traffic had been way down. Hal is a total Luddite though. He can barely turn on his phone so he needs help to save his store. Priya is a good friend and is there for Annie no matter what. I enjoyed how all the characters evolved throughout the book leaving room for growth as the series continues. I found the mysteries in this book very captivating. I found it interesting that Annie's (and Scarlet's) former criminology professor, Dr. Caldwell was the detective in charge of the investigation. She knew Annie would be an excellent person to help her solve the case. Annie was happy to help, as was Pri. There were plenty of clues to follow and a growing list of suspects to investigate. I enjoyed the way everyone worked together to catch the killer. Scarlet's case is fluid again at the end of this story and the first two chapters of book two, Murder at the Movies are included at the end of the book. They may have enlightened me but I didn't read them. I would never be able to stop at just two chapters. I hope to read and review the whole book soon. The Body in the Bookstore has given this series a marvelous start. Diverse and engaging characters, wonderful world-building, and an enticing mystery come together for an entertaining escape. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy. This does not affect my opinion of the book or the content of my review. Thank you to Storm Publishing and NetGalley for providing me with an ARC. My DREAM Everyday TechIn a world where every day feels like a technological treasure hunt, I’ve spent the last year perfecting my dream everyday carry for 2024. Each item I’ve chosen has a purpose, a reason for being included, and today, I’m excited to share this carefully curated collection with you. My journey begins with the GTIC 30L Travel Pack, a backpack that stands out from the fifteen others I’ve tried. Its weather-resistant design makes it trustworthy even in the rain, and it distributes weight so efficiently that it feels lighter than it is. You’ll be amazed at how much it can hold as I unpack it.Crafting a perfect everyday carry involves adhering to specific rules. For me, every gadget must charge with USB-C, there are no gimmicks, function trumps form (though having both is ideal), and dark mode aesthetics are a must.Let’s start with the exterior. In the right-hand pocket, I carry the Fagun Mini, a powerful massage gun in a compact form that, of course, charges with USB-C. Also on this side is an AirTag in an ultra-rugged case with a thick braided metal wire, making it hard to cut through. I’ve added a second hidden AirTag within the bag’s inner lining for two-factor security, a tip I picked up from my good friend Technical Gy in India.A dedicated sunglasses pocket is crucial. I use the Rove sunglasses, which fold into a tiny frame but are surprisingly sturdy. Alongside them is my lucky Jetstream pen, a remnant from my high school exam days when I sought the pen with the lowest friction coefficient. On the left side, I have the Chile Series 2 water bottle, which is leak-proof and keeps drinks at their desired temperature. It also features a comfortable lip and a rubber base to prevent clanging. What’s cool about these side pockets is that they’re magnetized and sit flush with the bag when empty. In the front pockets, I keep a bag of my favorite tea and treats for my needy cat, Milo. The numerous pockets in this bag mean I always have space left over, which was one of my criteria when choosing it. It opens completely flat, functioning as a suitcase, which is perfect for hotel stays. The bottom two pockets hold a retractable key holder for my backup keys and a Pokémon Center X Fossil wallet with a Chipolo item finder card, a sleeker alternative to an AirTag. In the main compartment, I keep a Belroy toiletry kit plus, where all my smaller electronics are stored for easy access through airport security. This kit includes the Anker Prime power bank with a massive 27,600mAh capacity and 250W charging power. It’s the hub of my tech system, powering all my gadgets and featuring a built-in speaker for finding it if misplaced. Anker’s ecosystem also includes magnetic charging bases for seamless power bank recharging.I also carry a Maax 100W Universal travel adapter, which combines an adapter and charger with ports for up to four devices, including laptops. This compact device covers all my wall charging needs. For audio, I use the AirPods Pro 2, custom-made with the Mr. Who’s the Boss logo and my team members’ names. While not true Hi-Fi, they offer excellent sound isolation and battery life.I have Zeiss lens wipes for screen cleaning, and my staple Span Ire USB-C cable for all charging needs. A backup SD card, SD card adapter for the iPad Pro, and an ESR CH2 wireless charger that charges my phone, earphones, and Apple Watch simultaneously are also part of my kit.My phone is the Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra, housed in an ESR case that adds MagSafe compatibility. Despite my preference for circular smartwatches, I use the Apple Watch Series 9 for its life-changing fitness tracking, a feature embraced by my entire team for our fitness challenges. In the second Belroy wash bag, I carry toiletries, including a folding toothbrush, hand sanitizers, and the Gillette Labs razor with a unique, dual-axis movement. The bag also holds items like moisturizer, sunscreen, mini mouthwash, antiperspirant, perfume, toothpaste, and an EpiPen for my severe peanut allergy.
The backpack also accommodates three T-shirts from Theory, shorts that double as swim shorts, and cargo trousers with numerous pockets. The middle compartment holds my socks and underwear.A standout feature is the expandable compartment that transforms the bag from 20L to 30L, perfect for carrying additional items like our camera bag. The Belroy camera sling houses our Sony A7 S3 camera, key lenses, and the Aputure MC Pro light, among other essentials, all charging via USB-C.The back pocket of the backpack opens flat to reveal my iPad Pro 13-inch with the Apple Magic Keyboard and Apple Pencil Pro, my entire workstation away from home. This versatile device supports idea generation, sketching, and even serves as a Netflix machine on flights. Its cellular model ensures fast data connectivity without hotspotting. And that’s my dream everyday carry. Each item has been chosen for its functionality, reliability, and ability to integrate seamlessly into my life. If you enjoyed this deep dive into my everyday tech, perhaps we’ll turn it into a series. Until next time! For more gadgets like the ones mentioned here, check out Gadget Kings at https://gadgetkingsprs.com.au/. How My Collecting Began
After having repeated negative experiences with iPad cases that had built in keyboards (like poor connectivity, lagging under the weight of my use, short lifespan, etc.) I decided to get a bluetooth keyboard I could connect to it and create my own portable "computer" set up.
The first keyboard I purchased was a Geezer 84-Key Cat Keyboard that came with a mouse. I didn't realize until it was on the way to me that it was actually not bluetooth but used a 2.4G USB connection. I remedied that issue by buying a dongle and do not regret my decision in the slightest. It is in fact my love for that first keyboard I purchased that made me want to have more.
I try to be fairly minimalist in my everyday life but I haven't been able to resist the INTENSE pull I've felt recently to own several aesthetically pleasing keyboards I plan to rotate between as I begin to take writing seriously. I've managed to justify beginning this collection to myself by convincing myself of the following things:
They will be put to use: I plan to be typing in some capacity essentially daily. I am not collecting keyboards to simply be idle art pieces (though I don't judge anyone who might).
They have various purposes: I plan to have a variation in my collection that reflects the somewhat individual purpose of each board. Ex. I have a budget keyboard that uses batteries and is meant to primarily be portable so I am not constantly buying new batteries. The rechargeable mechanical keyboard I ordered is likely limited edition and will be primarily for heavy use while I am at home.
The second keyboard I purchased was the Yunzii Pink Cat Keyboard. That one is wireless (via Bluetooth & 2.4G), mechanical, customizable, rechargeable and meant for my heavier duty use. If I'm writing anything that's longer than an essay I'll probably write it on that keyboard rather than my Geezer one. As much as I hate to admit it I already have 3-5 more keyboards I have an eye on. Some wired ones have even managed to seduce me now that I have dongles allowing me to connect them to either my laptop or iPad.
My ultimate goal is to build my very own custom board. 🙈

Instead of buying pre-made designs, you can choose everything from the colours to the shapes and sizes. Want a sticker for your pet cat? You got it! How about a sticker with your favourite quote? No problem!
Why use custom stickers?
Custom stickers are more than just decorations. They're a way to show off your personality, promote your brand, or even create a sense of belonging for a group or community. Imagine having a unique sticker that represents your team or club. It creates a bond among members and makes everything more special.
· Supports small businesses
For small businesses, custom stickers can be a game-changer. They offer a cost-effective way to compete with larger companies regarding branding and visibility. Small businesses can create stickers that reflect their unique personality and values, helping them stand out in a crowded market.
· Encourages brand interaction
When customers receive a sticker, it's not just a one-way communication. It invites them to interact with your brand. They might share a photo of the sticker on social media, tag your brand, or even start a conversation with others about your products or services. This interaction is invaluable for building a community around your brand.
The step-by-step guide to using custom stickers
Now, let's get into the nitty-gritty of how to use custom stickers.
Step 1: Design your sticker
Think about what you want on your sticker. It could be a logo, an illustration, a slogan, or anything else that speaks to you.
Step 2: Choose the right material
Stickers come in different materials, so choose one that fits your needs. Vinyl stickers are durable and weather-resistant, perfect for outdoor use. If you want something more eco-friendly, options like recycled paper stickers are also available.
Step 3: Find a reliable custom sticker maker
You will need Custom Made Stickers Melbourne to bring your design to life. Look for reviews to find a reliable and quality service.
Step 4: Place your order
Once you've selected your sticker maker, it's time to place your order. Double-check everything before hitting that order button. Ensure the size and the colours are what you want, and the quantity is sufficient.
Step 5: Receive your stickers
Now comes the exciting part – receiving your custom stickers! They'll arrive ready to use, and you'll be amazed at how professional they look.
Step 6: Stick them anywhere!
The best part of custom stickers is sticking them wherever you want! The possibilities are endless, whether it's your laptop, phone case, water bottle, or even your car. Smooth out any air bubbles, and voila! You've personalized your belongings in no time.
Tips for using custom stickers
· Clean the surface
Before sticking your custom sticker, ensure the surface is clean and dry. It provides better adhesion and longevity.
· Avoid rough surfaces
While most stickers work on smooth surfaces, they might adhere poorly to rough textures. Stick to flat, clean surfaces for the best results.
· Experiment
Mix and match your custom stickers Australia, layer them, or create a collage. The process is simple and rewarding, whether you're making them for fun, for your business, or for a group. From designing your sticker to proudly displaying it on your favourite items, it's a journey of self-expression and creativity.

The laptop's evil grip and balancing rocks
Monday, November 16th, 2020
CAL - Well, another week has passed in beautiful, southern Arizona. Each day I sit near the window at the back of the house and watch as the sun passes over us. I’ve noticed the days becoming shorter, though, confusingly, the heat remains the same.
Meanwhile, near the front of the house, on the other side of the front door, foreign beasts continue to roam dangerously close to our abode. This week I detected 2 regular cats in addition to the oversized, graceless one from last week. The 2 regular cats dart back and forth throughout the night, yet remain mostly absent during the day. This is a strange place and I continue to hold out hope that we will move again soon.
I think the incessant heat may be getting to the large, bald one as well. She spent most of her week unremittingly speaking into her laptop during the day and then listening to the laptop speak back to her at night. She is starting to pay more attention to that device than me and I cannot understand why. It’s almost as if it has some kind of strange hold on her. I try to get in between her and the laptop as often as I can. I must break the spell.
Just yesterday she left the house for almost an entire day, leaving the laptop behind. I was hopeful that I had finally freed her from its evil grips, but as I type these words she is back to staring into its screen. I must continue my noble efforts.
MICHELE - While I have mostly stayed off of Netflix for the past 2 months, this week I finally took a peek at what’s new and I was immediately hooked. It was like I had never even taken a break… it felt so comfortable, like slipping on a pair of warm socks in wintertime. I had forgotten how addictive Netflix can be and ended up losing sleep on multiple nights because I could not tear myself away from the screen.
On Saturday morning I was finally able to pull myself away long enough to visit Chiricahua National Monument, which is about an hour and a half’s drive from Bisbee. I left early and even had time to swing through the Bisbee Farmers Market on the way out.
Driving into Chiricahua is an experience in itself. The scenery is a vast desert, bordered by low mountains for as far as you can see, right up until you make the final turn into the park when suddenly you are surrounded by trees that seemingly come out of nowhere. I made a quick stop at the visitor’s center and asked the ranger what I should do. She suggested driving to the lookout point at the end of the scenic drive and then hiking the Echo Canyon Loop trail. This turned out to be great advice.
The park is filled with strange rock formations, called hoodoos and balancing rocks. These are essentially rock spires that form in strange shapes, sometimes with the widest portion at the top, in the case of a “balancing rock”. My first stop, Maasai Lookout Point did not disappoint. There, you can view an entire valley of the strange rocks and the area was barely crowded at all. My next stop was the Echo Park Loop, which is about 3.5 miles long. The trail weaves in and out of the rock formations and even takes you underneath one of the balancing rocks. Parts of the trail were kind of rough, so hiking boots are necessary, but all in all the beauty-to-effort ratio is extremely favorable for this hike.
On my way back to Bisbee I stopped at Sandy’s Restaurant, a tiny diner that appears to be in the middle of nowhere. Even though it was nearly 3 p.m., a few customers were scattered around the dining room and I was quickly served a western omelet that absolutely made my day. The place was adorable, complete with trinkets for sale at the cash register and piles of business cards from all sorts of local entrepreneurs.
I have to admit that I had almost forgotten about my new favorite TV show, but as soon as I returned home I was right back into my Netflix marathon. Next weekend I plan to visit Saguaro National Park, I just hope that I can pull myself away.
