Your first initial impressions of any Twst character vs your current feelings about them?
honestly, my perception of pretty much every character went through some metamorphosis of "this guy looks like a jerk" to "oh, he's a stupid jerk? now hold on." it's all about that balancing act between a dark brooding asshole and a dark brooding asshole who is also totally ridiculous, and it really does make ALL the difference.
perhaps most ironically, I've mentioned before that I was absolutely not into the Diasomnias at first, because the impression the website gave pre-release was somehow even less favorable than for everyone else and I was mad at Lilia for getting my hopes up for a token girl). and then we got their stories and, well, I kind of just haven't stopped thinking about them since. 🤷
also, I went in thinking that Crowley was going to be. y'know. competent at his job. a helpful guide. a mysterious yet caring mentor figure, a fitting leader for this band of delicate young magic waifs with their fancy little magic outfits and their perfect, perfect hair. I've never been so glad to be wrong.

Hi Raven! So, it's revealed that both Crowley (SSR card) and Malleus (dorm SSR card) have the exact same cosmic type powers! It's curious indeed... could that point to some sort of relation between them... I've seen people already saying that "he's not beating the dead beat dad allegations"...
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Their spells are very similar, yes! They're three cosmic element spells with similar strength and effects (the key differences being Malleus gets crit buffs and does not heal while Crowley gets no crit buffs and does heal both himself and an ally). This by itself would not be strange (as there are many cards with spell overlaps), but I’ve seen others take this and add it to their growing pile of suspicious parallels between Crowley and Malleus.
Crowley is also categorized as a “Balanced” card even though his high HP is more closely associated with “Defense” cards. (Malleus, by the way, is an "Attack" card.) Why is Crowley BALANCED… because Raverne was a diplomat that wanted to have peaceful relationships with all races… IS THAT WHY…
I can’t keep defending you from the absentee father/dead beat dad allegations when you keep gaslighting us like this, Crowley 😭 though I do wonder if we just see it this way due to confirmation bias (like, we already have a certain idea in mind, so that makes us to interpreting new information in a manner that proves or confirms that preexisting idea). This happens like every update now and it genuinely has me going back and forth between being for or against the "Crowley conspiracy". Right now, the biggest point against the theory is that Lilia implies Raverne's voice sounds similar to Malleus’s. However, Crowley’s voice does not really sound like Malleus’s, meaning Crowley could not be Raverne.
Am I the crazy one??? Am I the one huffing copium??? Or is TWST tricking us into following a red herring??? Both possibilities are equally as likely—
(In case you're wondering, Crowley duos with Grim! Though it would have been very sus if he duo'd with Mallues--)

Hellooo your recent post on Trein not canonically having two daughters has me shook (what if he has three and one was adopted??) because i was so sure that was canon.
If someone had asked me I would've said "yeah that's right, two daughters." And he's never said it. Damn.
Can you do a series debunking popular rumors?? I have seen SO many things that people claim is canon when I've never even heard of it and when I ask where they got it from it's either "the wiki" (where anyone can say anything, it even says that Farena is king right now when Kifaji literally calls him the first prince in Tamshina Mina, so that's not true), or they say "well it's obvious" but "obvious" headcanons are still headcanons, I want to know what is actually going on in the story for real!
Hello hello! Thank you for this question ^^
I am very sorry but I do not know very much about popular rumors 💦 If there is anything specific you have in mind, I would love to try and help!
And maybe these previous asks might be of interest? ^^
・Did Jade really eat his siblings? ・Is Jade really the only member of his club? ・Did Lilia really call Silver his son? ・Is Ruggie really the vice-housewarden of Savanaclaw? ・Will Ace really betray the prefect? ・Is Idia really close to the prefect? ・Was Silver really in the prefect's bedroom? ・Does Idia really say "degozaru?" ・Was Crowley really holding a whip? ・Is Crowley really stingy? ・Was Crowley's name really changed for EN? ・Does Jamil really care about Kalim? ・Can Leona really drive a car? ・Is Cater really bisexual? ・Is Cater really a playboy? ・Is Lucius really Trein's familiar? ・Is Neige really an orphan? ・Was Book 2 really supposed to be Book 6? ・Does medicine really work differently on different species? ・Is STYX really the government? ・Do you not really need a license to drive a magical wheel? ・Does Yana really write all the events? ・Has Yana really said that there will be a continuation after Book 7?
And you are very right about Falena! 🦁
Tumblr media
Kifaji refers to him as "crown prince" (as you say!), and when Kalim asks if Falena is regent, Leona confirms that he is ^^
"My father is still king, but with his illness, he's bedridden. So Crown Prince Falena has been running things for the past couple years."
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
This was hinted at back in 2020 where Leona said that Falena "runs the Sunset Savanna since (their) dad's sick and bedridden these days," and maybe that is where confusion about who is king came from? ^^

Conspiracy Theory warning!
First it was Grim's Malleus' creation because they have the exact same elements for the exact same outfit category cards... And now Crowley is Malleus' father because Crowley resembles Maleficent's raven Diablo and the newly revealed Levan (Malleus' actual father) is actually based on Diablo...
AND LEVAN WAS NEVER SAID TO HAVE DIED!! HE JUST DISAPPEARED AND WAS NEVER FOUND AGAIN! THERE WASN'T ANY CORPSE SO IT'S HIGHLY POSSIBLE HE'S ALIVE OMFG 😭🙏
There's so many fanfics out there who make Crowley nicer and basically adopt Yuu, and now you're telling me Crowley might actually be Yuu's father-in-law I'M GOING INSANE
(BTW Malleus' dad is NOT confirmed to be a dragon. His title includes the kanji for dragon, but it might be a symbol of being a direct Draconia subordinate.)

TWST X DP
yep, I’m going back to my old favorite with my current favorite, called me crazy but I actually think it’s a little bit more fun.
With the fact that Danny would in Twisted Wonderland and when it happens is after D-stabilize and before Phantom Planet or after Phantom Planet (I can’t decide which one) so with that in mind I can see when Danny meets Grim, he wouldn’t be fearful to him as that Ghost boy has dealt with worse.
In a way Danny can get away from Grim easily (the poor cat would struggle to find him until he did XD) though Danny would try to reason with Grim but of course he wouldn’t listen and try to attack Danny until Crowley showed up and stopped the devil cat.
Interesting Facts:
• Danny doesn’t fully trust Crowley as the headmaster wouldn’t keep his promise for getting Danny back to his world, in Danny’s case he isn’t really responsible enough. (Oof 😭😅)
whenever he gets annoyed or mad at Grim, Danny usually calls him ‘lil menace’, ‘gremlin’, and ‘Devil cat’ as he refuses to be called Grim’s “minion”
When Danny shows his ghosts powers to Ace and Deuce it was around in the dwarf’s mines when he saved Deuce from the phantom blot (at the time they didn’t know that)
In classes in NRC Danny actually had a good grasp on class lesson to a point where he gets genuine good grades, confused and surprised he goes up to Crewel asking if there is a mistake and when Crewel confirms that all his class work is correct. The poor Halfa was in complete shock that he would say “I- I never had this good grades besides that one test..” he said which would make Crewel genuinely concerned about the Halfa (papa Crewel is best Crewel QwQ)
In each of overblot victims’ memories came when Danny see them he would genuinely feel bad (pacifically Riddle’s, Azul’s, Idia’s, and Malleus’s) he sees those memories seeing them struggling with their trauma similar to his trauma (yes Danny has some trauma but hide it better until he lose his composure.)
The more time Danny constantly facing the phantom blot (since he doesn’t want to hurt the victims) after Grim in the end of book 5 scratches him in his ghost form, his injury would get infected with some of the blot that overtime he would have a high chance to be Overblot himself as well (the rest of the Twst crew would know Danny’s personal struggles and fears mainly of Dan Phantom)
Danny does sense a lot of ghosts in Twisted Wonderland as his own ghost sense would go off so if the Ramshackle ghosts try to scare Danny then he would be aware which actually amuse the Halfa as he is surprised that the ghosts in twisted wonderland is different in his own world and even the ghost zone as well.
When Danny befriended some of the main Twst crew, he is actually close to the first years though when he met Jack Howl it was awkward as his dad’s name is Jack so, to insure of no confusion Danny would call Jack Howl by his last name or ‘Jackie’ which it is understandable to Jack as he does not want Danny to be uncomfortable.
In story Danny would have to use his ghost powers in so many ways as in book 1 when Ace was kicked out and had Riddle’s collar on, out of curiosity and thinking Danny used his intangibility on the collar and taking it off of Ace’s neck which made the Heartslabyul student very happy but Danny told Ace that he had to put it back on his neck so that Riddle wouldn’t know. To the dismay of Ace but begrudgingly he agreed on it as it for safety reasons.
when Danny met Malleus, to the Halfa he thinks that Malleus is really cool and would call Malleus ‘Draco’ because of a constellation and also means Dragon as well, for Malleus was surprised that Danny would nickname him of thing that he was passionate about which made the dragon fae felt happy as they both would talk about their favorite interests (Malleus with gargoyles while Danny is Stars and space)
When any Twst characters asks Danny about his family and friends, he would definitely talk about them mostly he would also talk about his other friends from different dimensions, a boy who is big genius, a buck tooth boy with little creatures could give anything he wants, and finally a friendly sea sponge who is a fry cook. Danny would admit that he haven’t heard anything from them for a while now but understand if they find out that he is in another dimension they would be freaked out. (Aka Danny talking about Jimmy, Timmy, and SpongeBob though tbh I think Timmy would be jealous on Danny to be in a world that magic does exist XD)
The end of Malleus’s OB, Sam and Tucker did find a way to get into Twst with the help from Wulf who used his claws to get into the world and to find Danny, only to find out that he dealing with an overblot and become overblot himself.
in the Masquerade event would be interesting as Danny would have seen the ghost of Rollo’s late little brother Theo Flamme who stayed invisible in front of anyone except Danny could see him due to be a half ghost
Danny would tell about his ghost adventures to the first years group as Deuce would describe that Danny is a superhero which makes Danny happy about it
if Floyd or maybe even Grim would try to call him Dan or Dan-Dan you would bet Danny would get triggered as he would tell them in a coldest voice “Don’t EVER call me Dan again..!” and later he would tell everyone why after seeing his memories after his overblot.
so in short Danny would have to deal a lot issues but also would the moment that he would admit that he also has trauma issues.
I hope you guys like this idea that I come up with! I will also explain another AU that’s involved with Danny Phantom and the Owl House! Be on a lookout for that. Hope you guys have a good day/night!

Z nation character facts
Thomas “10k”
• He tries to refrain from cursing because his mother had a disdain for it. His father mentions this to him as he's dying in the episode “Full Metal Zombie” This is why 10k says “Fracking Zombies”
• In an interview with Nat Zang, his father is revealed to have been a survivalist out in the mountains. This gave both 10k and his father more edge for the Zombie Apocalypse because they were ready for it. This is also one of the reasons why 10k is so quiet; he has a lack of social skills since it was only him and his father for an extended amount of time. They also had no Internet, which is why he has never seen porn.
• Cassandra, Murphy, Red, Sarge, and his dad are the only characters who have ever referred to 10K as Tommy.
• He is the second person from the group to be bitten by Murphy. But now Murphy's referring to him as “blended”
• He is seen to have snapped out of Murphy's control in “Everybody Dies in the End”
• As of the end of season 5, his zombie count is 9,001
Steven “Doc” Beck
• He was born on April 20, 1969.
• Like Roberta Warren who appeared during Sharknado 3: Oh Hell No!, he appeared during Sharknado 5: Global Swarming where he was only shown in Kansas and was referred to as Steve. This makes Doc the second character to be shown on the Sharknado film series, following Roberta.
Alvin Murphy
• Murphy was confirmed to be both pansexual and polyamorous after “Limbo” aired.
• Keith Allan used some of his own private clothes for Murphy's wardrobe in season 2.
• Murphy resembles an anti-hero from the game Fallout 3. named Mr. Crowley. Crowley can walk among feral ghouls without being attacked, he can get feral ghouls to obey his commands by training them.
Roberta Warren
• Roberta may be part Native American since she was fluent in the language and culture of Danny Firecloud's tribe.
• Interestingly, even though she became a Talker at the very end of Season 4, she does not require Bizkuits

Rating: General Audiences
Categories: Gen, M/M
Fandom: Good Omens
Relationships: Aziraphale & Crowley, Aziraphale/Crowley
Characters: Aziraphale, Crowley, Warlock Dowling
Words: 1285
7 times Aziraphale and Crowley spent Christmas together (and 1 time they didn't)
Winfield House, London, England - 2013
“But how does Santa get down the chimney? We don’t even have a chimney,” Warlock wondered.
Nanny Ashtoreth shook her head cluelessly and finished tucking the boy into bed, “I don’t know, dear. Magic, I suppose.”
Warlock wasn’t convinced, “And how does he know when you’re sleeping or awake? Does he watch us?”
“I don’t know,” Ashtoreth said for the twentieth time that evening. Maybe this is why She didn’t like my questions, she thought tiredly. “You can kidnap him and torture the information out of him when you’re older.”
The little hellion turned onto his side and pulled the blanket up to his chin, “But then Santa wouldn’t be able to give any other kids gifts. We need to share what we have with those less fortunate.”
Ashtoreth raised a brow, “Did Brother Francis teach you that?”
“Mmhm,” Warlock confirmed. “So really, Santa doesn’t even need to come here. He can just take my gifts to some other kids.”
“You don’t want to hold Santa hostage and keep all the gifts for yourself? Everything you could ever want?” She Tempted half-heartedly.
Warlock thought for a moment, “Not really. My parents always buy me stuff. Like last week, my dad said he would come to my Spelling Bee, but he forgot. Then he bought me a new computer.”
Ashtoreth remembered all too well the Spelling Bee. She had been there to watch Warlock, but neither of his parents had. His father had gone to play golf with his colleagues while his mother went out with her friends. Warlock, of course, tried to act like it didn’t bother him, but what kind of a Demon couldn’t sense feelings like disappointment and a desire for things unobtainable? What kind of child doesn’t seek parental validation and attention? The two of them had gotten ice cream afterwards and sneakily displayed his gold medal beside Thaddeus’s golf trophies.
She decided to change the topic, “You need to go to sleep so Santa can come tonight.”
“Is Santa even real?”
This was definitely outside of her pay range. “Ask your parents in the morning, darling.” She pulled her coat a little tighter around herself and walked towards the door. “Get some rest, tomorrow is a busy day for you.”
“Alright. Good night, Nanny. I’ll miss you.”
“I’ll be back on Monday. Sleep well, Hellspawn. Dream of the death of your enemies.”
Ashtoreth closed the door behind her softly and sighed. The sun had long since set over the Dowling’s home, with only the scarce light of the stars to guide her way through the path. She didn’t need the light to know where she was going, anyway. She knew the way to the Gardener’s abode like the back of a certain bookshop.
Knock… knock knock… knock
“Good evening, dear. How was your day?” Aziraphale, who had been off duty as Brother Francis for the past two days, asked as he opened the door wide enough for her to slip through.
Crowley began kicking off her heels and letting go of her Ashtoreth disguise as soon as the door had closed. “Jolly,” she replied in her usual, bored tone. Not the soft, slightly Scottish one she reserved for her ward. “Warlock’s been interrogating me about Santa Claus all night. Stupid Americans with their stupid American traditions.” She pinched the bridge of her brow. “A chimney. They’ve got Santa going down a chimney, Aziraphale. A chimney!”
Aziraphale passed Crowley a glass of wine, “So I gather.”
“And you haven’t helped either!” Crowley accused. “You’ve got Warlock thinking Santa doesn’t even need to come here 'cause he gets everything he wants anyway.”
The Angel smirked, “Oh, so he was listening after all.”
Crowley downed the entire glass in less than four seconds, “He’s a kid. Kids are always listening, even when you don’t want them to. Ask any parent, they’ll agree.” She held out her glass for Aziraphale to refill, to which he complied. She sipped at this one much slower. “I kinda feel bad for him.”
“He’s not just a child, he’s the Antichrist. We have to remember that,” Aziraphale reminded, though his heart wasn’t in it.
“Yeah, I know. I know.” Crowley slumped further into her seat.
Aziraphale draped a blanket over the Demon’s shoulders and sat next to her on the large couch. “Do you have to work tomorrow?”
“No, they’ve given me the rest of the week off to go be with my ‘family.’ They also gave me a £50 gift card and a Christmas Spice scented candle. So thoughtful of dear ol’ Thaddeus.” Crowley answered, every word dripping with sarcasm.
“You think he picked out the candle himself?” Aziraphale asked insincerely.
Crowley laughed, “Oh yeah. He spent hours in the shops picking out a candle that reminded him of me. It was picked out with love and careful thought, I’m sure.”
“You know,” Aziraphale began, “If you’ve got nowhere to be, and they’re expecting you to be gone anyway, well then… perhaps we could go somewhere?”
Crowley recognized her own Temptation being thrown back at her from all those hundreds of years ago. She smiled sadly. “Where?”
Aziraphale shrugged, “I was thinking somewhere warmer. Perhaps coastal?”
“You mean go south?” Crowley asked.
“Oh, that’s a splendid idea!” Aziraphale agreed excitedly, buying more and more into the idea. Crowley’s heart seized painfully. “We’ll rent out a little cottage for the weekend! What do you say?”
Crowley nodded, “I’d say that would be great. I wish we could.”
Aziraphale visibly deflated, “What? You wish? Why can’t we?”
“Angel, Heaven and Hell are watching us now more closely than ever. The end of the world is in just six years, in case you forgot.” Crowley said.
“Of course I remember the world is ending, it’s all I can ever think about these days!” Aziraphale bristled. “Every time I see that boy running around in the flower beds or, or trying to feed the squirrels, I get reminded of the fact he’s meant to destroy the world, and yet… I can’t picture it.”
Crowley, for once in her very long life, let her questions go unasked.
Aziraphale continued, “I have to constantly remind myself not to get too attached. He’s not human, no matter how much I may want to think of him as one. He’s here to destroy everything we love. Everything we’re fighting to protect. We’ve spent the past four thousand years knowing the Prince of Darkness is coming, but as it currently stands, the Prince of Darkness is sleeping under a tartan blanket and glowing stars on his ceiling. We’ve not had a moment’s rest in several millennia. The world will continue spinning if we take one sodding weekend off for a holiday.”
The Angel’s racing thoughts were cut off by slow clapping. “Alright,” Crowley stated. “I’m sold. We’ll make a Tempter out of you yet.”
“So you’ll do it?” Aziraphale asked hopefully.
“After getting preached at like that I’d be hard-pressed to disagree,” Crowley said.
Aziraphale clasped his hands together joyfully, “Oh, wonderful! I won’t have to cancel the reservation, then.”
Crowley baulked, “The what?”
“I rented a cottage in the South Downs for the weekend,” Aziraphale answered.
“… When?”
“Yesterday.”
“Yesterday?! I hadn’t even agreed yet.”
“Oh, I know. But I convinced the Dowlings to let you be off this week, so I knew you would be free. I also know how hard these past few months have been for you, and you’d be more likely to entertain the idea of a holiday.” Aziraphale said smugly.
Crowley stared, “You’re a right bastard, you know that?”
“And you’re a bad driver, yet I persist. Go get your car keys, we’re going on holiday.”

Crowley + Attachment Style
I was talking to @actual-changeling the other day about attachment styles, and they confirmed my idea that Crowley is, contrary to popular belief, not someone with an anxious attachment style. Rather, like Aziraphale, he exhibits signs of a fearful-avoidant/disorganized attachment style (just in a slightly different and less obvious way). I’ve had this draft kicking around since September (??? October?? time is an illusion), so enjoy my silly (not-so-little) ramblings. TW // discussion of child abuse (not explicit) Okay, I've seen a couple of discussions surrounding this (cue me doing a frantic, sleep-deprived Tumblr Literature Review approx. five minutes ago), so this is just me tossing two pennies into a fountain, shrugging, and walking away. I totally see how Crowley could be interpreted as having an anxious attachment style. At the same time, as someone with a fearful-avoidant/disorganized attachment style (thanks, dad! <3), I believe there's space to explore that as a possibility.
My credentials, you ask?? Decades of trauma and an intimate knowledge of what it's like to have a disorganized attachment style (I'm WORKING ON IT, okay?? lol). Also a fuckton of research. All sources will be linked because I am a professional (<- LYING). Okay, so let's do a quick crash course on attachment theory as a concept itself, and then shift into manifestations of disorganized attachment style (I'm going to call it "DAS" for short bc I'm tired). I'm doing this as a formality, because let's be honest. Would you be in this fandom without having had experienced at least some measure of childhood trauma? What is Attachment Theory? (source) "Attachment theory, in developmental psychology, [is] the theory that humans are born with a need to form a close emotional bond with a caregiver and that such a bond will develop during the first six months of a child’s life if the caregiver is appropriately responsive." There are a variety of attachment styles, each of which differently predicts how an individual will react in interpersonal situations according to how they were raised. While there are, obviously, further nuances to this, a core group of four feature most prominently:
Tumblr media
Let's go deeper. What does it mean to have a DAS? In short, a DAS (also known as "fearful-avoidant attachment style") often comes about as a result of childhood abuse. The child relies upon the caregiver to ensure their (the child's) survival. However, when the parent is abusive (physically, emotionally, verbally, etc.), this obviously poses a threat to the wellbeing of the child. So they develop this deep-rooted sense of distrust and fear. It helps me to think of it as a flame: you want to be warmed by the heat of the fire, but if you get too close, you'll get burnt. Consequently, you're trapped in this wavering "too close", "too far" situation. One of the best explanations I've read with regards to DAS is from this source:
Tumblr media
Separation and abandonment (though most likely to produce an organized form of attachment, such as anxious or avoidant) can lead to the establishment of a DAS:
Tumblr media Tumblr media
(source) After experiencing abuse and abandonment in Heaven, and again as a Fallen angel, Crowley has, like Aziraphale, been exposed to conditions that would create this particular attachment style (for a further explanation of Aziraphale's DAS, see this post). However, as I mentioned in the above linked post,
In contrast, Crowley has a more nuanced, consequentialist view of morality. Having Fallen, having intimately known the depths of what both Heaven and Hell are capable of (e.g., his time in Hell post-1827), he isn't living with this unpredictable "parent"--he solidly understands that the existing system is fundamentally wrong.
At times, he does experience what appears to be ambivalence (or, more likely, a sense of deep-rooted loss and abandonment):
Tumblr media Tumblr media
However, the Final Fifteen emphasizes that this lingering mindset is overridden by the acknowledgment of an innately harmful structure:
Tumblr media
Having established this, what does Crowley's DAS look like + how does it differ from Aziraphale's? Well, in my research, I would posit "compulsive caregiving" plays a role. Compulsive Caregiving What is "compulsive caregiving"? It's a form of DAS that emerges as a result of specific developmental conditions. Having their needs (or QUESTIONS) ignored or else punished by a caregiver, a child may learn to "never ask for anything", and instead care for others, often sacrificing their own wellbeing/needs for the sake of the other party (see further explanations below).
Tumblr media
(Sources: 1, 2, 3, 4)
Here, we can see how Crowley might fall into the category of "compulsive care-giving". Both he and Azi try to protect each other to a severe degree, but Crowley's compulsivity might be a bit more apparent in this regard. He's learned not to ask for the things he wants (avoidant manifestation), but he also feels a desperate need to prove himself and protect Aziraphale through compulsive caregiving (anxious manifestation). It's only with his back pressed against the figurative wall in the Final Fifteen (or on the brink of Armageddon in season 1) that he is able to say it plainly. The Push-And-Pull of DAS As has been discussed so many times previously, this idea of ambivalence also features prominently in the relationship between Crowley and Aziraphale themselves. There's a constant push-and-pull in their dynamic, as evidenced below: Aziraphale refers to him as a friend, he compliments him, exists in close quarters with him, etc...
Tumblr media Tumblr media
But he also pushes Crowley away and consistently reiterates the categorical black-and-white thinking of Heaven/Hell.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
[Disclaimer: I acknowledge that this wavering attitude, while infuriating and unfair to Crowley, is also largely as a result of religious trauma; Aziraphale needs some serious therapy. As we see exhibited throughout the Final Fifteen, Aziraphale still believes that Heaven is, fundamentally, good (or at least holds the capacity to become good). This doesn't negate the fact that he loves Crowley, but it does impact the way he views the two of them and their relationship, causing a significant strain and eventual break in their bond].
So we have the root, we have the manifestations within the other party, but how does this DAS figure within Crowley's character itself? Manifestations of DAS in Adulthood
Speaking from personal experience, DAS can manifest in adult life in several ways. In the present day, I tend to (But not always! I'm getting better, lol) attach myself to people who are touch-and-go; who variously show me affection and disinterest (*cough cough* my ex-bsf). Often, when I felt like the other person was pulling away/withdrawing, I would also pull away. Because my caregivers flipped between rage and calm, venom-spitting hatred and comforting affection very, very quickly and very, very easily, I had to constantly be on edge, anticipating my next move and ready to go into resolution/fawning mode ("compulsive caretaking") at the drop of a hat. And that notion of push-and-pull, "never really knowing where you stand" is what I grew up thinking of as love. This pulling away in the face of perceived rejection can also point to issues with self-esteem...
SIDEBAR: CROWLEY AND SELF-ESTEEM The way Crowley is written with regards to his trauma responses is so interesting and also so real to me. We have this entity who has spent the better part of six thousand years (likely more, because we don't have a definitive timeline for the Fall) believing he is so thoroughly and utterly unwanted as to be pushed to the underbelly of the Universe, hidden away amongst sulphur and agony and absence.
Speaking as someone with ah...childhood...uh. issues (sure, let's call it that. why not?), after being told that you are disgusting, horrible, unworthy, etc. so many times, you begin to believe it. And because, as children, we're forced to rely on primary caregivers, often the only way to maintain that connection lies in the internalization of that unworthiness, to the point where it's difficult to separate you from these ideas of worthlessness. And because you've experienced it so consistently throughout your life, you also come to anticipate rejection; you look for it everywhere, feeling as though it's right around the corner. Therefore, to kind of pre-emptively avoid emotional harm (or because you feel unworthy of asking for more or for reassurance), you cauterize the figurative wound and pull away. We'll come back to this idea in a couple moments! Returning to the main point, let's look at these markers of a DAS more broadly:
Tumblr media
(source)
Let's go through each of these, step-by-step. Again, remember, not all of these symptoms have to be present all of the time. These are the ones I see most prominently in Crowley (of course, please, please, please feel free to correct me or build on this! i'm in NO way an expert).
Tumblr media
"You find it difficult to open up to others" + "You tend to keep conversations on the surface level because it's uncomfortable to be vulnerable"
Tumblr media
"You have a negative self-view of both yourself and others" (mostly himself, in this case!)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
"You often dissociate from your emotions" + "You withdraw when you feel vulnerable or emotional" For this one, I'm just going to invite you to read Alex's post here. They phrase it better than I ever could, lol.
SIDEBAR #2: Withdrawal + Good Omens Lockdown @yowlthinks also made an excellent point regarding something i said here. In the Good Omens Lockdown audio clip, we notice Crowley pushing the boundary line, forthrightly offering to come over to the bookshop and stay for a while at the height of the pandemic (see below):
Tumblr media Tumblr media
When Aziraphale outright rejects him, Crowley recoils and quickly says goodbye, intending to set his alarm for July. Here, we see the way in which disorganized attachment operates as a fusion of both anxious and avoidant behaviours; despite wanting to be close, he pulls back immediately and (presumably) resolves not to discuss the fact that he lost his flat and is now sleeping in his Bentley. (As my former philosophy professors have tried to impress upon me so many times,) It's important we consider alternative explanations. It could be possible that this is just him respecting Aziraphale's boundaries and returning to practices that seek to remedy the whole "you go too fast for me" issue. However, this kind of behaviour occurs time and time again, establishing a pattern that goes beyond simply protecting Azi's boundaries, and may index a desire to keep himself safe through emotional avoidance. "You have a hard time self-soothing your emotions" [insert lightning scene here]. He's trying, you guys. He's trying so hard, but it's difficult (and i'd genuinely like to get a scene in s3 where he's allowed to be well and truly angry. no, i'm totally not projecting, why do you ask? what are u, a cop???)! It seems that he turns to repression in the absence of actual emotional processing or soothing (until it comes out all at once, in the case of the lightning). This makes sense, as well, considering there have been very few instances in which he's been truly comforted or soothed by others. Not having comfort modelled to him, combined with his pre-existing low self-esteem helps to illuminate why he turns to repression opposed to taking time to care for himself, etc. Broader Implications + S3 Speculation Alright, we're almost done, I promise! So we've established (or at the very least, put forth an argument for) disorganized attachment in Anthony Janthony Crowley. What does this mean in the context of where we left things off at the end of S2? From my perspective, it means that what happened was completely in-character for both of them. Aziraphale's DAS manifests in more of the traditional, hot-and-cold fearful-avoidance. For Crowley, his caretaking compulsivity finally snapped in the Final Fifteen; Heaven is one place he cannot follow, and exhausted, he walks away (only to stand out on the street, further pointing to the anxious/avoidant duality). I would argue that there was no trick, nothing in the coffee, no coded messages, etc. Rather, like humans, they are both shaped by their trauma and responded in accordance with this. (@actual-changeling has some excellent metas where they further expand on the idea that there was no trick involved in the final fifteen: x. this meta too!: x. massive credit to them, as always hehe)
What about in S3? Speaking from personal experience (because the surrounding literature wasn't super helpful haha), a disorganized attachment style must be unlearned, with a few key factors at play: Since DAS is grounded in formative experiences of volatility, the survival of the individual has to be decoupled from the preservation of connection (with family members, partners, friends, etc.); more specifically, your worth and ability to persist is not dependent on maintaining connection with another. This is incredibly difficult to unlearn when you've experienced it for a couple decades, let alone so many thousands of years. t h e r a p y (pls neil, i need an episode where it’s just Crowley going to see a psychiatrist and he breaks down crying and it’s like “oh yeah. that was really fucked up what happened to me”. again. totally not projecting! <- as always, don’t actually send stuff like this to Neil). Okay, finally. We're at the end. I apologize for the sheer length of this analysis. I had to cut it off here, because the original was going to be wayyyyy longer with more discussion/analysis/etc. However. I am TIRED. So here you go! ✨TaH DaH! ✨ (please don't yell at me ajsdlasjkd. i love azi and crowley both so much and this is just my own interpretation/opinion as someone with a disorganized attachment style lol)

Have you ever wanted a fic a unreasonable amount.
This is how I feel with this. I present to you a prompt.
An ineffable prompt.
Ineffable bureaucracy become Adam's godparents. They meet him separately but they eventually kinda, sorta come together and provide him moral support over the years. The messed up thing about it is that they don't know Crowley and Aziraphale don't know Adam is the Antichrist. They don't know anything about Earth and basically followed the vibes to find Adam. And Adam is left to wonder about the strange people that keep visiting him as he grows up that never age. And when he meets them again at the battle field he's kinda like:
Adam: You aren't my dad. *turns to Ineffable bureaucracy* Are you guys still coming to dinner this sunday.
The rest of the Them: Yeah, we can do a picnic, and Gabriel makes the best cookies. And Bee comes up with the best games
Gabriel: Well, I am glad you think that and I have really perfected that miracling...
Beelzebub: No
Gabriel: But- *death glare* No Adam, we are very disappointed in you and- What is the demon Crowley doing.
Aziraphale: He appears to be fainting as well
Gabriel: As well? *loud thud* Alright
Bonus points if Gabriel helped raise Jesus and is confirmed best babysitter by Adam's family

Good evening! Do you probably know whom to ask for good omens fic recs / when I search for a fic?
The gorgeous work you do with cataloguing and pointing out fics for Johnlock made me think, maybe you know this.
I especially look for a fic, in which Aziraphale writes fanfictions while Crowley illustrates them. They get to know each other virtually. In their private lifes they are both single dads, I believe. I could not find it with the obvious tags, though.
Can you help me or point someone out, that might know this?
Thank you so much! ☺️
Hey Nonny!
As far as I am aware, there is a blog called @aziraphales-library that, upon a brief perusal of the blog, appears to meticulously sort fics in the same way that I and others do for the Sherlock fandom. I don't immediately see if they take fic hunt reqs, but never hurts to ask!! They're probably the go-to place for stories!!
SORRY I'm not as deep in the GO fandom (as I would LOVE to be) as I am for Johnlock so I can't confirm 100, but they seem pretty cool!
In the interim, does anyone know which fic Nonny is looking for??? I'll also reblog this to my Johnlock blog since my audience is bigger there and I have a lot of multi-fandom people there as well!

My dream last night left me shooketh.
It was about what it would be like in Book 7's final part and I don't like what I saw!!! All the dorms had like a physical side effect to their sleeping curse, with the housewardens taking it the hardest (Leona was LITERALLY FROZEN OVER LIKE ELSA CAME IN AND SCREAMED LET IT GO AT HIM). And then the book ended with confirming the theories that Crowley is actually Malleus' dad (lowkey that's the ONE thing I hope my dream gets right)...and then we had to kill Malleus??? LIKE NO THANKS I AM NOT KILLING HIM HE'S THE LOVE OF MY LIFE !!!!!
Manfisting that Crowley is Malleus' dad and that's IT.

Just saw the Reddit post of a lady who named her twins Aziraphale and Crowley and is now mad because Aziraphale and Crowley have a romantic relationship in the show and despite the undertones from the book and y’know, a shit ton of confirmation from Neil Gaiman, she claims that the show made up the romance for Aziraphale and Crowley out of nowhere and is worried that her kids are gonna be bullied because of the characters being “suddenly romantically involved”
First of all, you named your kids Aziraphale and Crowley, that would have gotten them bullied off the bat. I love the American Gods book, doesn’t mean I’d ever name my kids “Shadow” and “Mad Sweeney”, stop using your kids as a billboard for your fandoms - signed someone who’s Harry Potter nerd mom almost named them Hermione/Ginny and who’s Lion King obsessed dad almost named them Nala/Sarabi (Even though my name is still similar to Nala’s and whenever I say my name people are still like “Oh like Lion King !). Like I know your fandoms are important to you and you want your kid to have a unique name and all but seriously think of the fucking kid first and the name you’re gonna curse them with for the rest of their life or at least for 18 years of their life before they eventually change their name.
Also she claimed that Good Omens is “obscure”. Like… what ?

I guess the line where Lilia says Malleus' voice sounds like Levan (or however that's spelled) confirms that Crowley is Not the Father™? I feel this also supports the idea that Lilia would have recognized Levan as Crowley immediately. Crowley's voice absolutely does not sound like Malleus'.
[Referencing this post!]
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Yes, there's a part where Lilia hears Malleus's voice and mistakes it for Raverne's! This would imply that Raverene's voice is similar to Malleus's. When comparing Malleus's voice to Crowley's, they're nothing alike (at least in my opinion). Malleus is much deeper and more resonant than the headmaster's, even in instances when Crowley is speaking seriously instead of in a silly manner. That would technically mean there's a strike against the "Crowley is Malleus's dad" theory (please note that the post linked here is a general overview; it by no means goes over all the little details and parallels between Raverne and Crowley).

Fan speculation theory/potential spoilers plus some minor confirmed book 7 spoilers
You know that fan theory about Crowley being Malleus’s dad? I’m not the biggest fan of the theory, but it’s interesting.
But overall, I am curious how Dusk would react if that was true. Which is probably him not being happy.
Malleus is his brother and the Vanrouges are pretty much part of the Draconias in a way. So to suddenly see Malleus’s dad, who’s been gone for so long, just suddenly be the headmaster would not sit well.
Like “I don’t care if you’ve been watching him the whole time! How long was it before Malleus entered this school? Were you watching him then? Why didn’t you say anything to him? What about my Dad? Weren’t you close?” That kind of thing.
I’d be shocked if Dusk didn’t punch him.
And there’s also the issue of Dusk possibly feeling abandoned again, but by Crowley. Dusk did officially met Maleanor, but Raverne wasn’t there, and I doubt they met any other time, but Crowley would have still full knowledge of who Dusk was. Not only having received Lilia’s old acceptance letter to know who Lilia was, but he would be able to visibly see Dusk being related to Lilia. Or just hear about the loud fight they had after the Opening Ceremony. (In Dusk’s Au, Lilia being a father to Dusk, Silver, Malleus, and Sebek are not kept secret. Also Lilia’s role to be Malleus’s ward isn’t secret.)
So in Dusk’s mind Raverne would have been a close family friend, who might as well be family, yet ignored him completely. Not mentioning anything despite likely seeing a visible struggle. Then there’s also ignoring Lilia and Malleus, but I’ve already mentioned that.
(I also do like the Lilia having a crush on or being with Maleanor and Raverne, so it’s probably canon for Dusk’s au, even if I don’t write it to make it official.)
(Or just Maleanor, but I do like it being both of Maleanor and Raverne better)
The "Crowley is Malleus' Dad" Theory is also one I don't like.
Interesting theory, but there's too many parts of it I dislike to actually explore further.

Unique magic: Fear Raiser
Jaxon can use his unique magic to cause a rush of fear to those around him. He can focus it into the area around him, or one specific person. He can also adjust the level of fear he puts into others. However, the more area or people he tries to use it on at once, the weaker it's affects are. The most fear he's ever put into a person once caused them to pass out. There have been times when he's been known to use it on himself in order to give him an adrenaline rush for certain situations. It's speculated that this unique magic may be the reason he doesn't sleep much and has insomnia, but this isn't confirmed since he doesn't like to talk about it.
Story:
the only child of Dire Crowley, a future great mage, Jaxon Crowley
being the only child, it was just him, his dad, and his mother
the three of them were a family
Since the headmage is his dad, Jaxon grew up in and around Night Raven College
he's been taught every tradition, every activity, and every rule
and as he grew up, Crowley expected him to eventually take over Night Raven College and help him run the school
but that wasn't what Jaxon wanted
he said that he's going to do what he wants to do
Crowley didn't care what he wanted, he wanted his legacy at Night Raven College to live on
the two often argued and fought over this, and neither would give up their idea
Jaxon's mother always refused to pick a side, and often grew tired of their constant fighting
as Jaxon grew up, he began to grow more rebellious and stopped doing anything Crowley told him to do
whatever Crowley wanted, Jaxon did the opposite
this created more anger and hatred between the two, and the distance grew wider
it was shortly before Jaxon's first year at NRC that his mother left
she didn't give a single word or reason, she just left and took all of her stuff with her
Jaxon was more angry and confused than ever
Why did she leave?
Surely it must've been because of Crowley, he was insufferable
but why did she have to leave him behind with Crowley?
with her gone, the two's relationship only kept getting worse
the two fought over everything, and started to avoid each other
by the time Jaxon came to NRC, he had become a complete delinquent in the eyes of others
on his very first day, he got into a fight before he was even assigned to a dorm
and he only continued to get into more fights the longer he stayed in school
the truth was, he enjoyed the fights and took pride in how many times he's won
after each fight, he would always have a grin on his face and even start laughing
on top of that he refused to listen to any school rules, listen to anyone, participate in classes, and generally do anything in school
of course he would get scolded and receive punishment from Crowley, but all of it was ineffective and only made Jaxon more angry
some students tried to befriend him in hopes that he would protect them or even gain Crowley's favor
However, Jaxon saw through them and always pushed them away and would even threaten to fight them
the worst fight of his happened during his second year
according to some students, he was breaking a school rule when a Heartslabyul student came up to correct him
they had a bit of an exchange, before Jaxon got really mad and started attacking the student and using his unique magic on them
the other student had no chance, and ended up getting badly injured
the story spread through the school quickly about the violence Jaxon caused
most said they weren't surprised by his actions
but those who paid closer attention saw that he was unusually quiet after the fight, and his usual grin was missing
that fight was the final straw for Crowley, and Jaxon was expelled for a year
as far as students were concerned, the school was much safer because of this
and Crowley felt he had less to worry about
Whenever anyone asked about Jaxon, all Crowley would tell them was not to worry and Jaxon was being punished for his actions
a year later, Jaxon returned
now as a third year having to take second hear classes after being held back
still remembering his behavior from years ago, students naturally avoided him as much as possible
but many noticed he was much quieter and much less interested in anything or anyone around him
some students even tried to challenge him to a fight, but he acted like he didn't even see them and walked off
he didn't follow many of the smaller rules even now, but he was actually attending his classes now
However, he and Crowley still avoid each other and aren't currently on speaking terms
for the most part, he doesn't pay attention to people when they try to talk to him unless it's someone important
the staff and dorm leaders are the only one's he really listens to
most Heartslabyul students tend to avoid him or resist correcting him on the rules in fear of him fighting them
Jaxon is seen alone most of the time unless it's during classes or clubs
those in the music club have said that he talks a little more there, but mostly spends his time with his guitar
some students have said they've seen him wandering the campus at night too at various times, making them wonder when he sleeps
overall, his behavior after returning to NRC, his behavior has been less aggressive and instead more aloof
Updated look:
After returning to NRC:
