Something fishy's afoot!

For anyone that's made the Halibut jumper before, feel free to share advice on the whole yoke situation. I hoped it wouldn't be too long, but there's still so much fish left to knit... and also how tf does someone split for sleeves in the middle of colourwork anyway???

It only just clicked with this bag, which is probably bag number like 65, exactly how my ch2 functions as a stitch and how to increase with it correctly. Like I've been staring it pretty much this whole time (years !) fucking up in different ways every time.

It's still visible but it's much neater than usual and I have 2 stitches from the chain below, which is what I need for this particular base. Yay !

2024 round up!

This year I made even more gifts/things for other people than ever before

And even found time to make some things for myself

It wasn’t as quite full of darning as the previous

But I did find time to make some things ‘just because’

On top of that I made approx 100 hats for the Innocent Big knit

And set up my kofi as I’m set to move out this year and lose my storage space in the meantime time.

My hopes for 2025 are as follows:

Learn to card/tablet weave and make shoelaces and guitar straps

Collect more Seaglass

Use up my collected shed hair for a new project

Make whatever accessories I find I’m lacking when I buy my new home

Happy new year all! May 2025 bring purpose, craft time, and stability to us all.

unfortunately got roomed with a 1 year old since yesterday (out of necessity, no private rooms on this floor and nowhere else to room her). and it's been a LONG 24 hours 🫠🫠🫠 i feel bad for her bc she must feel terrible; she's getting a similar drug to what i'm getting. but the constant scream crying is really getting to me.

ALL THIS TO SAY that i left my room for the first time and went to the family room (basically for parents and stuff) and it's soooooooo nice and refreshing ❤️‍🩹 it's quiet, there's sunlight, a change of scenery. it makes such a huge difference. so i'm feeling a little better 💖💖 (it also helps that i got the most DELICIOUS Mexican food delivered and it was so good)

The thing about fibre arts is that sometimes things get wonky and you end up with an extra stitch and you trace it back to nine rounds before and you go, I'm not redoing nine rounds, it can stay wonky.
