Alright so. I'm getting into junk journaling. At least, I'm going to try to! I have a plan to start myself off with 2, one for personal/random shit so I don't feel so confined, and one focused on my plushies!! Not every one of my plushies will get a page but I will dedicate a page to whoever inspires me in a particular moment. I may not share every page right away. But if I fill in an entire journal I will try to show the finished results of what I created! I will also be doing this at my leisure because this new hobby is an outlet for my creatively and mainly my emotions. Shout out to @ cafe-mouse for inspiring me
#ik cafe-mouse didn't specify if they were making their art of coffe as a junk journaling thing#but I did research on what they were doing n it brought up junk journaling in my search results#n then I fell down a rabbit hole of beautiful and messily created books filled with cardstock stickers and magazine cutouts#and it got me so hype!#my therapist has been wanting me to find a creative outlet to express my emotions#especially because I can't bring myself to draw when Im sad/angry/anxious. nor do I feel comfortable with regular journaling#but last week we were talking about maybe having me make collages yo express myself#n then I saw cafe-mouse's beautiful work#and so its all come together into this decision to start this hobby#my goal is to focus more on the collage/randomness of junk journaling instead of actually writing in them#although I will be doing that a lot in my plushie junk journal#I will write info about my plushies on one side and make a collage for them on the other#in my regular junk journal I will focus on making collages based on mood first anf then maybe add some writing into it#I already have a lot of supplies for this (I collect stickers as well as plushies so I have a lot of material to work with)#my grandmother-in-law is also a hige crafter so she's given me plenty of cardstock and stuff to use#and I also have random junk that I collect that I can add in as well (I knew it would come in handy someday!!)#Im just really hype about ths and hope it turns out well and that I don't give up#viti shoosh

Reading Does Help
Reading to gain better knowledge about a subject or area of interest is never a waste of time. I used to think it was, so I never attempted to pick up those objects full of writing & pages.
This year, as new years day bestowed its first rays of sunlight on us, one of my goals was to read more. If my writing of stories & expression of characters are to get better than what I've produced in the past, I need to read more. At first it was only to read more fiction (which I have yet to dive into, my list is ever growing) but then I found a range of other interesting books to learn from, help me understand the world better, how things work and ultimately how to better myself. Yeah, all these years I took reading for granted, only for those academic professionals I thought.
Feel-Good Productivity by Ali Abdaal is a book I'm currently reading, I'm about half way through. So far, his book has helped me realize a few truths about myself. Reasons why I keep putting my goals off and focusing on easier things; those easier things won't allow me to accomplish anything. Especailly not my biggest goal right now: becoming a better artist & writer.
After my reading session today I've decided to make an actionable steps plan. The idea is to take my mind away from the overwhelming tunnel vision of my goal and to break it down into actions I can do right NOW, things that are in my control. Better control means I can track my progress & how my weeks play out.
I'm trying different approaches presently to keep my mind actively thinking about what I want in my life, how to obtain it & mostly how to keep moving forward when I feel as though nothing is happening. When really no matter how small, it's still progress, even by the small act of picking up a book & reading the knowledge within.
Thank you for reading!
Hope everyone is having a lovely week. :)

CTS A | Connect CTS A to all your other modules (and components)
Throughout my coursework, I could see how critical thinking was the backbone interconnecting with all my modules. I relied on it heavily, especially when experimenting with techniques, problem-solving and collaborating.
Collaboration played a big role, particularly in Studio 1 and Craft Workshop. Working in groups taught me to adapt my approach to different perspectives and working styles. Each experience broadened my understanding and deepened my appreciation for diverse insights. After all, not everyone has the same ideas as I do. I felt that blending ideas led to more effective solutions.
Emotional intelligence and assertiveness were also key. I had to manage my own emotions and remain sensitive to others. This is evident during Studio 1 and Craft Workshop. For example, in Studio 1, I helped resolve tension in a group activity by suggesting we revisit a peer’s idea, which led to better progress.
This experience ties closely to assertion and conflict resolution. I learned to balance being open to others' point of view while contributing my own. I found that this fostered greater success and productivity within the group. When conflicts arose, I resolved them through empathetic, strategic interaction - asserting my perspective without dismissing others - to reach shared goals while remaining considerate of the team.
Maintaining a growth mindset was essential across all modules, especially in a creative environment where innovation is constant. We were not given predefined frameworks but worked with ideas that are constant in need of fine-tuning and exploration. This process can be exhausting, particularly when feedback can be subjective. However, I learned that embracing diverse opinions and accepting constructive criticism are key elements of critical thinking and personal growth, requiring resilience.
Lastly, documenting my creative process was another vital part of my work. By documenting through design softwares for Digital Skills and Photography, I was able to track the development of my ideas and reflect on how my work evolved over time. In particular, working on a Creative Process Journal for Studio 1 allowed me to document not only final outcomes but also the stages of exploration and research, giving insights into my own creative journey.
In conclusion, all of these skills come hand in hand. They are elements of critical thinking, and each module required me to apply them in unique ways, shaping my growth as a designer.

It's been fun playing around with ChatGPT for the last couple weeks. It's intriguing to figure out how I'd use it, why I'd use it, and what, specifically, I want it to do for me.
My biggest takeaway is that it matters who takes the lead.
It matters who's driving the train.
Who's driving the train?
Yeah. For example, when I'm writing for someone else, depending on what we're trying to accomplish, I might write the first draft in my own voice. Every subsequent draft is me transforming that draft into the voice for whom I'm writing.
Okay but why start with my voice when the finished piece will be in someone else's?
Because when I start with me, my choices are embedded in the finished piece regardless of how many layers of dressing I lay over it. My choices are the spine, the framework onto which language is attached and transformed at will. My initial choices set the tone, form, organization, and sequencing firmly in place. Even when I transform my voice into someone else's.
Which means...
Which means I have to be careful about letting AI take the lead, drive the train. I have to be careful about allowing it to set the foundation of my writing. Because that foundation obligates me to the AI's choices, such as they are. No matter how many layers I place on top, that foundation still shapes the finished creation. And that's not what I want.
You see, whatever tools I use in my creative pursuits, I want my fingerprints all over them. After all, each project on which I work is, essentially, a time capsule. And I love that's how it is. So whatever I create has to somehow reflect me into the world. Otherwise...
Why do it?
Okay.
I have two specific writing challenges: a blog post and a script. Recently, I was tempted to turn over the blog post to ChatGPT because my mind had latched onto four separate pieces of information and I wanted to integrate them into a single piece followed up with a conclusion or two. Which seemed like a natural use for the AI.
However.
My blog is for me. It's basically public journalling where the point is to gain personal insight through review and examination. So I wrote the piece myself and, lo and behold, my efforts produced a fifth element, something that ultimately led to an insight. One I didn't see coming until that very moment.
So when the writing's for me, when its purpose it to inform me, when the idea is to examine what I believe and why I believe it... it makes no sense to farm that process out to AI.
You know?
Now the script in question is a teaching thing. It's very much about topic X for audience Y. And I could. I could prompt ChatGPT to craft a script about topic X for audience Y in my voice, with a specific tone, with suggestions, with citations, and so on.
But again, that's not for me. At least not for the script I have in mind.
Why?
Because the method by which I choose to create something shapes that something. It's an obvious truism I use to create variations on projects that are the same or similar. I approach each one with a different workflow, a different creative methodology that produces a different creation. And sometimes, when it's just the one project in front of me that's not like any other, I choose a way of working that most interests me. Sometimes what I mean by "interests me" is that I want to light a match. For this particular project, I want to speak with two different people about their motivations for wanting to be involved in the project, I want to compare their answers and—
See what happens.
I want to know what their answers suggest or imply.
I want to base my next steps on whether their answers harmonize... or whether they conflict in some way.
Basically, I want to choose the way, this way, my way, to enter into the project. I want to light up a process of discovery that both informs and inspires what I do next.
What I don't want to do is standardize my process even though there's a powerful gravitational force that always draws me to doing that. For ease. For speed. Not for my best creative work, though. And yes. I fully admit that standardization's great when you're in a rush. Standardization provides the framework, a well trod path, into which you can reliably set your feet, one after the other, all the way to a job well done.
However.
As with any creative pursuit that's also a career, standardization's just not gonna sustain me through the years and decades of my career. it's not gonna inspire me. It's not gonna light me up.
Monotony never does.
So I'm always looking to change things up. Mix up the way I do what I do. And that has to come first.
That has to.
Come first.
Before I entertain an AI assist, I have to figure out how and where I'm entering into the universe of the project on which I'm working.
I have to take the lead. I... have to be the engine, is what I'm saying. Again and again and again. And yes. It has been fun playing around with ChatGPT for the last couple weeks. I'm intrigued to figure out how I'd use it, why I'd use it, and what, specifically, I want it to do for me.
Of course my biggest takeaway?
Use AI assist strategically.
Use it second.
Use it last.
And for God's sake, take the lead.

Writing
I’ve been thinking about writing something that requires research. I’m currently debating what to write about. I wanted to go out to Oatman, AZ and visit the functioning old ghost town and the resident wild burros. I thought writing about the town and the burros would be fun and interesting. Since gas prices are climbing back up, I decided to postpone my trip. Something I would really like to do…

FS series : their profession & hobbies
Group 1 - Moonchild Ace of cups, 9 of pentacles, Ace of swords, 6 of wands, Page of swords
As for possible careers, I am picking up on the following elements. This person's career relies on two key factors : communication and sociability. With the two aces, it gives me the feeling of something either being very recent or very novel. So either this person has been doing this job since a short period of time or the job they are doing is something that has emerged within the recent times. So it's not something like being a doctor or a lawyer, as these professions have been existing for a while. With the page of swords, this person's work likely involves the use of technology, especially social media. The 9 of pentacles could show that they are working on their own. Either they are their own boss or their profession requires them to work alone most of the time. The 6 of wands denotes a sense of fame and support from people around them. So it is likely that your person is either well known in their community and appreciated for their work, or they have a huge following and interact with a lot of people. Based on all these information, I am deducting that your FS could work in either one of those positions :
community manager, freelance designer / artist
social media influencer, public speaker, spokesperson for a specific company
therapies that involve unconventional ways of healing (crystal healing, sound baths, ASMR, Reiki...)
being a celebrity of some kind, no matter their field of action (modeling, singing, acting, cooking...)
When it comes to hobbies, this person is definitely into creative activities. They could be into singing, writing, painting among other artistic centers of interest. This person may also enjoy spending time alone journaling, being in nature, exploring new places. They may be into horse riding. They could also enjoy learning and reading. This person may like to be the center of attention. In friend groups, they tend to be the one that makes everyone laugh. They could also enjoy competitive activities and combat sports. They are into self care. As communication seems to be very important to this person, they could also use social media as a way to creatively express themselves outside of their usual train of work. For instance, I'm picking up on someone doing Tiktok trends as a a hobby.
Group 2 - Angel The Sun, 4 of cups, knight of wands, 7 of swords, Hierophant
When it comes to your person's occupation, I get the feeling like their position is an important one within society. It is something that is viewed by society as essential to the community. It could be a profession that is very traditional or that was passed down to them from previous generations. With the Sun and the knight of wands, it feels like your person holds a position of authority or at least a strategical position within an institution that gives them a lot of power in terms of decision making and initiative. They could also have to move around a lot, whether on short or long distances. This is a profession that requires them to be flexible and confident but also to be comfortable with working on their own and thinking for themselves because I feel like this person doesn't get much help in their situation. There may be a lot of weight and responsibilities on their shoulders. With the 7 of swords, this gives me a feeling of secrecy surrounding this person's job. There are a lot of things that they cannot share about their work. Also, the 7 of swords talks about strategic planning. Their job requires a lot of thinking and anticipation. The Hierophant can represent big institutions such as religious groups, political groups, government, the army, the educational system, big companies and so on. Based on all the information provided by the cards, your FS could be working in either one of those fields :
medical field : any type of doctor, psychiatrists, forensics, working in a research lab
political/religious field : public figure working for the government, leader of a political group of any kind, spiritual guru, a person of authority within a religious group
teaching, working in the military, being an undercover agent, working for big companies that play an important role in a country's economy, baking and so on
As for hobbies, this person may enjoy traveling, running, horse riding, solving puzzles and riddles. Playing video games. Learning about other cultures and ethnicities. Learning about religious beliefs. Doing community work, praying. Spending time alone in nature away from civilisation. Camping. Trecking. Mountain climbing. Challenging activities. Being in sunny places overall. Going to exotic and remote places. Learning about History. Visiting museums and ruins. Stalking.
Group 3 - Maidens 6 of wands, Empress, 10 of wands, knight of cups, The World
Your person's occupation feels very busy and hectic. Their job is one that is very active and requires them to travel the world for some, or at least to move around within their country. For this group, it is clear that this person's job revolves around physical appearances, sensuality and promoting a positive image of life, of society, of health. This group has the most potential of having a FS that is famous to some extent. I see that your person has to work with a lot of people and is constantly on the go. They participate to various events, they take on many responsibilities and yet manage to be very successful despite the hectic and sometimes unpredictable conditions of their work. Beauty is a major theme here, as well as reputation. Thus, your FS could be working as an influencer, a model, an artist, a beauty aesthetician, a fashion designer, an event promoter, a journalist. Anything that would require them to be in the public eye and promote a certain life style or certain products. They could also be an entertainer, an athlete that is very present on social media, a personal trainer, a reporter. I'm also picking up on flight attendants, employees from big stores in airports or big hotels. Of course we can't omit everything revolving around the performing arts. Actors, comedians, dancers. We also have possibly strippers, dancers, show hosts and so on. Fitness instructors, yoga teachers. For some, your person could have a personal blog or website like a Patreon or an Only Fans account. They could also be a creator of some kind. Maybe they design their own clothes or jewelry for example. They may own a business revolving around cosmetics or a massage institute. The possibilities are endless. For some of you, I feel like your person could be having several occupations within the same field. For example, think of a model that could also be a fashion designer. Or an actor that could also be directing their own movies.
As for hobbies, again, beauty and physicality seem to be the key themes here. There's also traveling. This person is definitely a foody. They may also enjoy buying clothes, collecting objects. They may like to learn new languages or to cook specialities from various cultures. They could also enjoy doing DIYs. Knitting their own clothes, doing their home decor and so on. This person feels very venusian and earthy in their energy. So anything revolving around pleasure, the body, the earth. Gardening. Taking care of their body by doing gua sha, meditation, yoga. And so on.
