Found a really cool trend from twitter that I wanted to share on here, basically has to do with form changes in relation to the abilities of each pokemon! I thought of going with Volcarona as it is one of my favs. The Flame Body ability was pretty straightforward to work with, which I made Volcarona's body entirely in flames except for its thorax and little mandibles.

I had more difficulty with the swarm, but decided to add more wings to give off an illusion of sorts, more so a mimicry of the swarm movement (alternatively, they reflect the solar flares). I added small random moths cuddling Volcarona, joined with hovering yellow ones that were allured by its warmth and light (moths like warm places!)

Had tons of fun with this :)

Typical knights from the three great Gilter kingdoms!

Typically only a small percentage of an army are recognised by their monarch & knighted. On top of that the responsibilities of a knight differ wildly between the kingdoms.

Waizentrum: These sleek & light warriors rarely fight in close quarters, but will take up a light weapon such as a basket-hilted short sword when the need arises. Instead they are experienced archanists (wizards!) and act as the firepower of a platoon. Usually firing dangerous projectiles from a long range, or razing battlefields with wide indiscriminate fire. Typically an archanist is knighted upon passing a state exam which involves a written and practical test. While it is difficult to become a knight, not just soldiers can take the exam, resulting in those who wouldn't otherwise join the war effort becoming powerful assets to the kingdom.

Nordekoph: Valuing physical strength, this kingdom have a long history of valuing tall, long-tailed individuals, resulting in a population that on average stand a head taller than the other two. A Nordekoph knight is not uncommon to see, as they act as strategists, captains, and peace keepers. A knight will oversee 30-40 mercenaries hired by the reining monarch, co-ordinating their forces with other knights within their local round. While somewhat messy, the system is backed by priestesses of the Sanguine Draken who use their altered vision to forsee the best possible strategies. Usually in Nordekoph a knight must earn a name as a mercenary, if their knight feels particularly impressed the mercenary may travel to the capital to perform a duel before the reining monarch.

Oztenkig: With the fewest knights, the soldiers of Oztenkig do not seem to suffer from any loss. 'Knighthood' is a role that purely marks the soldier as working in the kingdom's capital. Therefore the monarch is personally hiring that warrior to protect their home. With armour made using traditional techniques out of shaped insect chitin, these knights are the cream of the crop, it takes great feats of bravery and trials plenty to become a knight in Oztenkig. Most are trained from childhood, but many who retire from the battlefield un-maimed are offered the position. Oztenkig knights aren't known for having preferences in weaponry, but as they are heavily armoured in a surprisingly light suit they make use of two weapons, often a concussive short lucerne & sword.

SketchBound (Sort of a story Concept in my head)

So, this idea for a story has been around in my head for a while. It's pretty much a combination of a lot of tropes and some personal niches of things that I enjoy. It's pretty much a long term writing project for February. So here's the concept! ( ˶ˆᗜˆ˵ )

Bianca “Bea” Marshall had always been an off beat artist. Even if her form of art is unconventional….She would rather be out spray painting tags onto abandoned city walls or creating murals in between old subway lines despite her mother’s overbearing workaholic tendencies. 

After her recent grandmother’s death she was cleaning some sentimental stuff from her childhood from her home. She suddenly stumbled upon her fathers things and most importantly her late fathers sketchbook from his time working on a popular cartoon in the late 80’s early 90’s. Once a promising animator in his prime her father tragically passed away in a studio fire leaving just her and her mom. Taking some sentimental value from her dad’s things she takes them with her  against her mothers wishes to just leave them alone to reminisce on the little memories that she has with her father.  However, while looking through her father’s sketchbook of concept art and environmental design she finds hidden instructions folded within the pages of the book that transport her into a strange realm where logic falls under the wayside and the animated cast of colorful characters that her father created are actually alive! Now mistaken as the new "host" of the show in her father’s absence, Bea must take on his role, keeping the world running before it becomes forgotten for  good . But as she navigates this strange, animated reality and her fathers old tapes she soon discovers a lot more about her fathers past and her family that are hidden behind pages of old story boards and notes from him left behind. 

With the help of Bea and Ozzy the rabbit the only cartoon character who’s aware of everything around them Bea  has to figure out what’s really going on and who was really orchestrating the strings behind her father’s show and his untimely death while also trying to keep the rest of the cartoon inhabitants completely unaware of the a darker threat looming over their happy little world.  ==================================> So yeah! It's sort of a personal project of mine that I've been working on for a while and trying to make it work. I'm trying to push myself to write more. But, hopefully you guys enjoy. Here's a sneak peak of one of the main characters. :>

🧶 Repurposed Creativity! 🧶

This bold red, white, and blue bag started with squares originally meant for an anime-inspired scarf that I didn’t finish. I didn’t stick to the original pattern placement, so I added extra squares to make it work as a bag. Fingers crossed that it still has an attractive, cohesive look!

Painted Accumulation: Texture Pack for Creatives

Current line art for Rena Thoryn, I wanted to get that Isekai prep school vibe I had some inspiration from shows like "I'm in Love with the Villainess" and "Trapped in a dating sim: the world of otome games is tough for mobs" both shows I really enjoyed watching!

Spoiler:

Rena enters the Rena starts her entrance exam to the Academy of Esteria; Institute of the Holy One’s at age fourteen (late) and successfully enters at age fifteen (early) after the results are posted a month later. This is where the main plot takes place and takes on the cliche approach of a fantasy high school in anime where nobles and commoners are usually pitted against eachother in terms of worth. Obviously Rena doesn't agree with these kind of politics so she often defends commoners being bullied by the Villainess (Name not made up yet) and other nobles.

The academy is known to train, holy knights, clerics, scholars, mages and of course Goddesses.
