My own introduction:
Tumblr media
Tumblr media
Hello, dear reader! I have absolutely forgotten to properly introduce myself. We shall begin with some simple things.
You can call me Moon or Swan, I go by both names. I am twenty-one years old and from europe. I am a writer, making up stories since I can remeber.
I enjoy fantasy books of all kinds. Besides this blog, I actually write high fantasy, but this blog is for my own enjoyment and fun.
My asks are always open to you, for either questions, requests, or anything else. My DMs are open too. I have created a SFW blog for just some fluffy and cute writings, maybe some poetry too. I will probably also talk about books. It is: @strawberries-filled-with-honey
Some rules for my blog:
No hate towards each other. I will gladly listen to criticism or if you do not like something. Keep it respectful, however.
Also: No minors. Absolutly no minors. There will be sexual and kinky content. There will be kinks portrayed, probably also some unhealty relationships.
This is all fictional, a form of escapism. So please be kind and nice to one another.
Also, for all BG3 fans: This page is a safe space for Ascended Astarion lovers. I have seen many people debate about it. Both Spawn and Ascended Astarion are good. Neither is better than the other. It's fiction, and what you prefer is personal preference. It does not make you a bad or a better person for what you like.
Also: Divider Creators I use: @thecutestgrotto and @saradika-graphics

do you have any webcomic suggestions?
Oh, do I! :D I'll keep the descriptions short, otherwise I'll talk about each of these for a million years.
Warrior Cats:
The Average Adventures of Genericpaw - parody comic. But watch out.
The Exiled - Fishpaw. Murder mystery.
Follow Your Heart - Sootpaw. Personal drama.
Meandering - River. Slowburn romance.
Saltburn's Clan - Saltburn. Pinepaw's cool butch lesbian aunt.
Convocations - Elkmask. Political drama. Biggest inspiration to The Dog Star.
Other:
Wilde Life - supernatural dramedy.
Wychwood - magical post-apocalypse.
The Glass Scientists - Jekyll & Hyde retelling.
Tiger, Tiger - swashbuckling magic adventure.
Little Tiny Things - French slice of life.
Paranatural - ghost fighting teens. Also, the inspiration for PATFW's "journal style". Also, Hijack.
Phantomarine - magical ghost adventures.
Awkward Zombie - gamer comic strips.
Sakana - fish market dramedy. Yuudai.
Skin Deep - cryptids comedy.
Dumbing of Age - daily college dramedy. Gave me the worst hyperfixation of my life.
The Order of the Stick - D&D adventure. My favorite comic ever created.
How To Be a Werewolf - werewolf drama.
Fairmeadow - fantasy hippie drama.
Lackadaisy - bootlegger cats. You've seen the animated pilot.
The Property of Hate - TV head guy.

I'm With You - goat people romance.
The Carpet Merchant of Konstantiniyya - sweet vampire romance.
XKCD - it's XKCD.
Vainglorious - dragon adventures.
Bybloemen - demons committing financial fraud. Gorgeous artwork.

Novae - supernatural historical romance.
Never Satisfied - magical teen drama. It's on hiatus right now.
Monster Pulse - teens with magic organs.
Children of the Light - magic squirrel drama.
To Catch A Star - sparklewolves.
Cursed Lights - magical animal people drama.
What Lurks Beneath - cat cult.
Rabbit Hole - bunny cult.
Villtur & Sarx - sci fi manga.
Best of Bad Decisions, The Doe of Deadwood, Repeat, I Didn't Know - Songdog comics. Probably the most influential creator on my comics.
Crushed Olive Branch - Shadowhunters gayboys.
Broken Crown - magic kingdom adventure.
Sleight of Hand - Fallout gayboys.
What Happens Next - internet teen thriller.
Golden Shrike - deer adventure.
The Pale - Twin Peaks adjacent.

Monstober 2024
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Monster-Enthusiasts, Monster-Lovers, and Monster-Fucker, I call upon thee! This upcoming October is going to be spooky!
It's time for a whole month of delicious monster content! Whether you want them to stalk, to hunt, or to devour your little protagonists (mind you, the monsters are the real protagonists of the story, hehe), I want to see a month dedicated to the beauty of the Ugly and Horrible! All things monster are welcome—art, writing, any kind of showcasing a monster! No matter how cruel or how obscene you like it—now's the time to show it off! ♥
I have prepared a list of monsters & prompts for your guidance, however, if you'd rather do a different monster or a different prompt, that is totally fine! If you prefer to stay private and not have your post reblogged to this blog, that is totally alright, too! This is merely for fun and giggles, and I welcome everyone who wants to challenge themselves this upcoming October to use this list if they want!
How to participate in my Monstober:
- Starting October 1st create something with the monster or prompt of the day! That is all you have to do.
You don't have to do all days or even in chronological order. Feel free to alter the prompts as needed. Your monsters do not have to match the usual descriptions of their kind! Post whenever and whatever you like as long as it is still connected to monsters!
- If you want your entry to be reblogged: @ me yandere-sins in your post, don't forget to put content warnings if any apply (especially Violence & Sexual Content—however, those are very welcome!), and put long texts (once they reach 3k words) under a read more! I'll reblog the posts as soon as I see and have the time to get to them!

Descriptions of the individual member of each species you'll be dating is below this cut:
1 the vampire: a young vampire (they're 800, but anything below 1000 is young to vampires) who recently moved near you. They're less humanoid then most vampires they know, lacking any sex characteristics, having a somewhat elongated looking body, and having a mouth filled with sharp angler fish like teeth that can open much wider then it looks. They act very chill and down to earth, having lived long enough to not have many worries. They'll probably play guitar for you.
2 the faerie: a noble woman of the autumn court whose been ruling since long before your ansestors walked down from their trees. Her true form is a massive spider like monster with a deer skull for a head, but she can take the form of a tall woman in a black dress if you'd rather. She tends to be nice, but has a problem with thinking of mortals as if they're cute little children. She'll probably give you headpats.
3 the cyborg: a cyborg who was created as a warroir back before the fall of Atlantis. She's been wandering the world ever since the fall, trying to stop the threats humanity doesn't know about. She has a lot of mechanical and magical upgrades but the most noticeable is that her skin is replaced with power armor below her neck. She's on break right now and is a bit burnt out. She's a rather nostalgic person, and scares rather easily after all these years. She'll probably ask to be help despite the fact she's probably taller than you.
4 the dragon: a massive dragon with seven heads and great black wings whose been guarding a hoard of ancient treasure for six million years. Despite his appearance ge's very nice to humans as long as they're respectful of him. He's the type who'll want to tell you puns or make you food if he likes you. Unfortunately for any intimacy he can't shape-shift so he'll have to be very gentle with you.
5 the demon: it's specifically the type of demon that makes deals with people, useally for souls. Don't worry it's not going to try to take your soul, that's just work. It looks like a humanoid figure in a black suit with striking red eyes, the suit is actually part of its body, it doesn't even have organs under there just thick black shadows. It can be freindly, and very curious about the human world, but it doesn't have many positive experiences with humans and doesn't really get social rules or anything like that. It struggles with not really thinking of itself as a person with it's own rights and value.
6 the werewolf: a scientist (well actually a grad student) who studied werewolves who was bitten during their research process. They're really excited about their new transformation, and being in their wolf form feels good. Though they are a bit afraid of what can happen with them, and they don't know what triggers their transformation yet. Their werewolf form is a massive wolf like humanoid with black fur and bright yellow eyes. Their human form just looks like a regular person. They're very excited to meet someone whose accepting of them, and they're very talkative and enthusiastic to those who know them, despite being timid at first.
7 the fallen angel: a recently fallen angel. It doesn't seem like angels are even created by a god, they're just these interdimensional beings. This fallen angel has rather recently fallen due to getting too close to humans they were supposed to be studying, most scandalously: considering themselves male when most angels are considered above gender. He looks like a youthful slender humanoid, with a sexless body, and four bright blue wings. Golden cracks have been forming on his skin since the fall. He still hasn't unlearned everything from being with the angels for millenia, so he can act rather regal and princely. But he has a deep love for humanity most angels don't have, and is deeply saddened by what happened, and probably needs some comfort right now.
8 the slasher: technically a demon but he doesn't really hang out with other demons. He looks like a young man wearing a pale mask that doesn't ever come off. He was hired by the winter fae to kill humans in their sacred woods but really he just likes killing. He enjoys killing and doesn't really have a human idea of morals, and thinks of it as a sort of art, but he'll probably think of you as diffrent if he's pack bonded with you, probably becoming really protective of you. He rarely speaks, and he's probably more comfortable using sign language or aac in public.
9 the witch: an ancient witch whose been studying magic for centuries, though her body remains young and beautiful, though she's quite sallow and underweight. She gouged out her eyes in a ritual that allowed her to see into planes beyond this reality, giving her knowledge that makes her somewhat detached from the rest of humanity. She tends to be rather quiet and aloof, though freindly, and she'll probably be a bit suprised to receive affection from a human. She'll probably want to tell you about her studies and hyperfixations a lot.
10 the ghost: the ghost of a knight banished from the afterlife after cursing the gods of death. He's mournful and very sensitive. When he manifests he appears as he did at the time of death, with his armor still on, and arrows piercing his chainmail. He'll be very devoted to you, but is very heartbroken that he can never actually touch your body the way a human would. Mabye he can possess you for short amounts of time to make up for it.
11 the slime: a strange creature found at the edge of time, appearing as a mass of black ooz that can take any form. It's considered loyalty amoung lesser slime, even among the smallest of jelly. It doesn't seem to talk but is incredibly intelligent and mysterious, and has been known to take certain forms inorder to manipulate people. The form it likes taking around humans is a cartoonish female humanoid is a puffy dress, we don't know why.
12 the void: under no circumstances should you try to romance to void. It's quite hazardous and you won't be human after becoming a bride/groom of the void.

What do you think constitutes as a 'monster'? In the scary monster Halloween event mummies, vampires, werewolves, skeletons and dragons seem to be monsters but there was also the ghost pirate, so do ghosts constitute as monsters? Is 'monster' a term used for creatures that aren't part of the main four species (humans, fairies, merpeople, beastpeople)?
Tumblr media
I honestly don't think what counts as "monster" and "non-monster" is a huge distinction to make, nor is it strongly defined in the world of Twisted Wonderland. I also don't think it's something as simple as "these specific 4 races are not monsters and anything outside of these 4 are monsters" because that's just a really arbitrary decision. The labels themselves (if this is the case) are also extremely unfair, as it implies negative things about the non-dominant species when they really haven't done anything to warrant it and can't control the population of their species to come "out" of that monster label. I think it's much more likely that what makes something a "monster" is how it compares to a human in terms of life functions. For many of the "monsters" listed (vampires, mummies, skeletons, ghosts, etc.), they have unnatural means of coming into existence. These creatures are not "born" like a normal living creature would be. Rather, they "turn" or are "made" somehow. In the case of the werewolf, they're also "unnatural" in a magical sense because people are not able to shift into different forms on their own. Even beastmen cannot just assume beast form; Jack's the exception due to his UM. Merfolk need to take a special potion to maintain their human forms, and can only shift in cases when they want to revert back to their merforms from their human forms. They'd need to take another transformation potion to gain legs again. Because a werewolf defies these constraints, that may be what makes them "monsters".
Finally, we come to dragons, which is a particularly special case. We learn that Malleus himself, being a dragon fae, has ancestors who are real dragons. We also learn that beastmen are descended from real animals, and, from this, can probably also deduce that merfolk are also descended from various sea creatures. For this reason, some fae, beastmen, and merfolk are "monstrous" in some regard. However, the label "monster" is seen as derogatory, and is meant to be clearly distinct from just "animal" (see: Malleus's reaction to Rook saying he is "more monster than animal" in Rook's PE vignette). Therefore, beastmen and merfolk are off the hook for this discussion, since their ancestors are animals and not "monsters".
I also considered intelligence being a factor for the monster/non-monster distinction, but that doesn't seem to hold up when you consider that Phantoms and Grim are also called monsters or beasts. Buuut there are cases of intelligent Phantoms, and Grim himself is capable of human speech which is incredibly remarkable. We also don't know enough details about dragons themselves to know if they are "wild" and incapable of human speech. The one thing I could say about dragons that makes them different from humans (and thus fit into my earlier proposal) is that they probably produce eggs that have to be incubated to hatch (similar to chickens, I guess??), if Malleus's birth is anything to go off of. This creates a distinction between human reproduction and dragon reproduction--and since Malleus and other dragon fae have elements of both, it supports the idea that it can be difficult to reconcile with one's humanity vs being seen as something inhuman from the start. This could explain why Malleus takes such offense when Rook comments in the vignette I indicated: it's questioning his humanity.

Alternates
Because the Darcy Lewis Bingo Mod Team are writers and artists ourselves, we understand that not all prompts are created equal and, therefore, are not necessarily inspiring to all creators. So, for 2024-25, we are including a list of 10 fun, spooky alternate prompts you’re welcome to use on any day you get stumped by the creator prompts we’ve supplied above. Each alternate prompt may only be used once, however, so use them wisely and don’t take them for granted. These are not easier prompts by any means! And don’t forget that all of your Promptober fills must incorporate our beloved Lady of the Astrophysics Lab, Dr. Darcy Lewis!
A1. a 2-sentence horror story (req.: cannot be longer than 2 sentences & must tell a complete horror story)
A2. Darcy’s First Halloween
A3. a Halloween Darcy drabble (req.: exactly 100 words)
A4. the Avengers go out on Halloween Night in New York City
A5. an onomatopoeic story or poem (req.: must include at least 13 onomatopoetic words)
A6. a Darcy retelling of the Headless Horseman (or your favorite classic spooky story)
A7. an acrostic poem about Darcy, the Avengers, and Halloween
A8. The Mummy AU
A9. an autumnal Darcy haiku
A10. record a podfic (with permission) of a friend’s spookiest Darcy fic
With our alternates, this means every player begins this round of Promptober with a whopping 103 spooky season prompts. We can’t wait to see what you make of them in the year to come. Have a spooky time creating, Darcy Friends!
Promptober 2024 is a list of 31 this-that-or-the-other prompt themes handpicked by our mod team to cross international borders for creators to choose from to create spooky, oogie, or hygge fanworks for the autumn & Halloween season (or for Scary Christmas, Valloween/St. Guillotine’s Day, Half-Halloween, Gay Halloween!, Summerween, Scary Christmas in July, or Autumn Down Under for our Aussie creators). We continue to be not your mom so we’re not here to tell you when or how long you can celebrate your Spooky Season. Here at Darcy Lewis Bingo HQ, all your spooky holiday lifestyle choices are valid. In fact…
Important Dates & Deadlines
Promptober begins on August 3rd, 2024 this round, but you know how we feel about deadlines. 🔪 So, for this round of Promptober, we’re doing away entirely with hard deadlines and we mean it! You have from August 3rd, 2024 until our next Halloween event begins, and even beyond that, if you like! Though we do strongly recommend wrapping up this challenge before the next spooky challenge begins, this event remains open basically as long as this bingo exists. No pressure to complete, ever, just inspo and encouragement. 🧡
Promptober Challenges
Promptober Mini Challenge: choose and complete fannish works for any 13 of the prompts from this list for our mini challenge. Creators may choose 13 prompts from the list of prompts—any 13 prompts at all!
Promptober Mega Challenge: choose and complete fannish works for 31 of the listed prompts for our spooky main event! Creators may choose any 31 of the total 93 prompts listed to complete this event.
For an extra personal challenge, you may limit yourself to only posting a fanwork inspired by one of the prompts listed by the number that corresponds to each day of October for every day of the month all month long, but it’s absolutely not required for completion of this event. We want you to succeed and create, and to share new Darcy works, so our goal is always to support you in your fannish creative endeavors and make that as easy as possible.
*If you post every day in October as a personal challenge, mention us @darcylewisbingohq in your tumblr posts to let us know you’ve posted a new work or update so we can reblog your daily posts in as close to real time as possible. Once we’ve left a like on your post, rest assured: that means it’s in our queue, just waiting its turn to be featured on our blog.
Promptober 2024 Guidelines
Promptober fills must prominently feature our beloved Lady of Astrophysics, Dr. Darcy Lewis!
Promptober creators have all of our 2024-2025 round to work on this event! If you want to work on it the whole year until we release the next spooky season event, we encourage you to do that. If spooky challenges are particularly your jam, we’d love to see what you do with ours when you’ve got the whole year to tackle it!
entries—Your fanwork is NOT required to use the prompt exactly as it appears on this list. Prompts need only inspire your fanwork, whether they appear word for word in it or not. However the prompt inspires you is correct, as far as we’re concerned. Subvert the prompt, reverse the prompt, marry the prompt—it’s up to you.
All forms of fannish works are accepted and encouraged for this event! Fanfic, fanart, poetry, podfics, fanvids, playlists, fiber and other crafts, fan edits, moodboards, etc.
You may start posting your Promptober fanworks as soon as they’re ready to share. No need to wait until October and no need to rush to get them all done in that month, either.
Fanwork Fill Requirements
100 words for written works or word art, with the exception of poetry with independent formatting rules (such as haikus).
1 image for artwork or handcrafts of any kind and a description for the visually impaired of the medium used and what it represents.
1 image for cosplay or character-bounding and a description for the visually impaired of cosplay or clothing and any other fashion influences incorporated into the costume or clothing (be descriptive! talk about fabrics and colors, tone and texture! describe the emotions the colors you used evoke in you as the creator!)
9 elements for moodboards (background, images, texts, ephemera) and a description for the visually impaired of the moodboard and what it represents.
6 images for social media AUs and a description for the visually impaired of the creation and what it represents.
10 songs for playlists and a text list of artists and songs to give credit to the original artists, plus a description for the visually impaired of what the playlist represents and how it relates to Darcy.
Still not sure if your creation will meet the minimum prompt fill requirements? @ a mod! we’ll create new requirements based on new types of creator fanwork submissions, as needed.
These participation requirements are identical to our annual bingo event; those guidelines are always pinned at the top of our tumblr blog where they’re easy to find; the link to those guidelines and fill requirements can also be found on Discord in our #bingo-info channel.

i have many monsterfucking fantasies (werewolf dilfs, dragon dilfs, alien dilfs...i have a type) but one consistency between all of it (beyond middle-aged dadbod monster men) is the worldbuilding surrounding it. i just love creating different ideas for settings and worlds to build these fantasies in.
the fantasy alone is hot as hell, but when i can fully immerse myself in the story im creating in my head it takes it to a completely new level.
in an alien mood? well lets first figure out what scenario im in to where i'd even encounter an alien. perhaps im in a time where intergalactic travel is as easy as driving down the highway, my own ship (analogous to a car) and all. is it one massive intergalactic nation? or more of an alliance between different groups?
maybe i need a werewolf? okay is it more of a traditional werewolf setting with werewolves in hiding and being worried about getting caught and hiding in the shadows and all that? or is it a more harmonious world were werewolves and non-werewolves live openly? can i walk out of my door and see my werewolf neighbor in a tartan robe absentmindedly watering the grass while drinking his morning coffee? if it's the latter, what sparked this development? how does it resemble our irl cultures and how does it differ?
i like to jot these ideas down for future reference. so i have a bunch of documents on my computer that is just a bunch of lore and worldbuilding that i came up with just cause i wanted to suck monster dick.

What do various urban fantasy races do for vacation (destinations, activities, etc)?
Tumblr media
MODERN FANTASY MONSTERS: SUMMER VACTION 2O24
Let's get one thing straight. This ^^ is the wizard fit for the summer. Get your sandals and Bermuda shorts!
☀️The Return of Orc BBQ’s. YES. Summer is the time to break out the grill and meats of all kinds because it’s a bbq of legendary proportions. Imagine a whole outdoor block party and two Orcs are competing not in hand and hand combat but, for who has the best dry rub or best sauce recipe.
☀️I already talked about this in my other blog @the-wizard-writes but, for an interesting vacation spot, imagine touring magical places like a regular tourist. Wanna travel to the fae wilds safely? Take a guide that will show the strange and wonderful creatures that inhabit the environment! But, also be mindful of the fae rules unless you want to be trapped in the fae realm forever. But, in a post that I made a while back I sort of pondered on the concept of touring the nine circles of Hell, each realm having their own climate and environment such as the Gluttony circle being traditionally known as having rain and ice….Who’s to say that some very over enthusiastic (and greedy) demon and or human won’t open a ski lodge there? ☀️Witches and Wizards going out onto the water using their broomsticks to surf rather than using a surfboard. Some of them might even use special potions as sunscreen to make them tan better. ☀️Werewolves hanging out by bonfires roasting meat having fun with their pack mates bringing in the season by hanging with those who are close to them. Imagine the dilemma of said werewolves wondering if they can make smores like Werewolf 1: “...Can..Can we even eat smores?” Werewolf 2: “I’m not sure…I mean, there’s chocolate in it?” Werewolf 3: “Just make it without the chocolate then.” Werewolf 1: “But, the chocolate is the best part!” :(
They found a better substitute to be safe…That substitute being peanut butter and they are absolutely having a ball with it.
☀️Vampires who despise the heat and stay in their house all day sulking blasting the AC. They hate that they can’t make popsicles out of blood since it “Just doesn’t taste the same.” So basically they become more pissy and complain about how they wish it was cold again so they can go outside. When they do have to go outside they are detected out in all black wearing shades and have umbrellas.
☀️Dryads and Nymphs absolutely go to music festivals during the summer. They’re vibe fits exactly with the people that would go to something like Co*hella or Woodstock. You’ll see them post pictures of them traveling to said music festival for some old indie artist wearing their music festival garb sitting on the grass posing with friends.
☀️Merfolk being extremely protective of their territory during the summer months due to people littering in their ocean or lakes. Sometimes bigger merfolk might play pranks on humans thinking that there is a shark or some sea monster and scare them out of the water.
☀️Summer festivals that happen around town that get the whole community together. Imagine a whole festival during the summer that’s just to celebrate bringing the community out and just to celebrate different cultures. A different multicultural species celebration for everyone. ☀️Witches create different infusions of iced tea with certain potions i.e experimenting with different concoctions to make the tea have magical properties such as making you more alert or maybe makes you faster.
☀️Pool parties! POOL PARTIES!   >Werewolves that shake themselves off like dogs no matter which form   >Water Nymphs who sometimes spook people by blending into the water.   >Larger species (Orcs, Ogres, Dragons, Giants) being used as diving boards with smaller species jumping off of them. >Witches doing fancy tricks jumping into the pool.
☀️Imagine catching fireflies in the summer night and accidentally catching a fairy then catching fireflies with said fairy after you profusely apologized. They take you to a hidden grove where there were not only fireflies but, other cute fae creatures that glowed in the sunset of the summer sun.

Hi yes welcome again to my weird thoughts on Solas at inappropriate times past midnight. The newest one that hit me at this lovely time of 1:30ish am?
I bet you real, hard-earned American dollars that Solas has no idea what a werewolf is. Why do I say this? Because based on the lore of Dragon Age: Origins and other related works pre-Dragon Age: Inquisition, werewolves in Thedas are made only three possible ways: doing a ritual that binds a spirit to wolf and compel it to bite humans (they subsequently get the curse), a wolf is possessed by a rage demon, or a human is possessed by a hunger demon. Solas is from an ancient era where demons didn't really actually happen (no Veil to cause problems). And what few indicators we have of the ancient elves dealing with demons only really happened LATE in the empire's existence. And specifically with the Forgotten Ones. And while Solas might have had some relations with them (Fen'Harel and his interesting alliances with both Evanuri and Forgotten Ones), I'm not quite sure he actually would never have any interest in learning such magic in the first place.
So thus, with these facts, I personally suspect werewolves are a modern monster phenomenon. And Solas? If you snoop around his desk and also snoop around some spots in Skyhold with some acquisition requests lying about, you'll find a book list written by Solas requesting all sorts of books, for all sorts of topics. The elf is scrambling to catch up with history and shit he missed. He also has a very low opinion of humans. I bet you he never even HEARD about the famous folklore in Ferelden about Dane and the Werewolf.
In a fantasy scenario, I would love to be there when he learns werewolves are A Thing. Like, clearly wolves were an Important creature among the Elvhen even before Solas took on the title of Dread Wolf. The Emerald Knights had wolf companions! And they emulated ancient Elvhen warriors! There are references to "people wolves" and shit in ancient tombs. Solas has very strong feelings about saving those wolves from a terror demon in the Hinterlands! (I say strong because you get Solas Approves instead of the painful blip of Solas Slightly Approves) And knowing his guilt-ridden ass, I bet you even more money that he would internally panic over it. "Is this yet another side effect of my failures? Had my magic which created the Veil warped the very creatures I once emulated?"
Idk y'all I'd delight in hearing him scramble to say something constructive and intelligent about werewolves while knowing absolutely nothing about werewolves.

General Lore of Halloween Terrors
Now before I get into the characters of Halloween Terrors let's start off with the general lore around the world of Halloween Terrors.
First off, what is the story?
Well the world of Halloween Terrors was initially a story told by Reinhardt during a Halloween party, in an effort to show up Cassidy's werewolf story;
Tumblr media
(Side note: I love this comic)
However, considering how the story has progressed, I don't think that is just the case anymore. I think at this point the Halloween Terrors Universe is on the same playing field as Starwatch, that meaning I believe it is it's own separate universe.
Now what is the general backstory of this universe? Well let's start off with a few foot notes.
Before the events of Junkenstein there was a war, a war that The Gunslinger and The Solider talk about in voice lines, no other character mentions this war so it can be assumed that this war only happened in America.
The world and countries of this world are exactly the same as our own, at least existence wise. There are no renaming's of any countries.
There is no question in this universe on whether or not magic is real, magic is defiantly real. However, alchemy and divine channelling are not considered magic. Alchemy is considered science and divine channelling is considered a separate thing from magic.
It's not just Halloween monsters that are real in this universe but fantasy creatures as well, such as dragons.
Now with that out of the way let's get into the surface level story of Halloween Terrors.
The first event is Junkensteins Revenge, after being scorned and insulted by the king Dr. Junkenstein tries to prove him and everyone wrong by creating life. With body parts he acquired from The Butcher, he created his monster. However bringing it to life was proving to fail time and time again.
Until The Witch of the Wilds saw potential in him and gave him a magic crystal in exchange for his service to her;
Tumblr media
After that Junkenstein's Monster was given life;
Tumblr media
However as a reaction to this rampage Four Heroes appeared, The Gunslinger, The Archer, The Alchemist and The Solider. Together they banded together and put a stop the Junkenstein, his monster, The Witch and her minion The Reaper.
There was peace for a time...
But the Witch was not done, she herself wanted revenge and so she plunged Adlersbrunn into an eternal night;
Tumblr media
Now initially four more heroes were called to aid, The Countess, The Viking, The Monk and The Swordsman. However, they were not enough as several other heroes ended up joining the fray. The Will-o'-the-wisp, The Outlaw, The Shield-maiden, The Renegade, along with the return of The Gunslinger and The Solider.
Eventually The Witch and her minions were defeated again and peace was restored.
Until Wrath of the Bride.
The Bride attacks Adlersbrunn and kidnaps the king, the only people to stop her? The Sleuth, The Outlaw, The Fortune-Teller and The Butcher.
Now I can't actually explain much about the story of The Bride without getting into theory territory and that's for another post.
After defeating The Brides allies and eventually The Bride herself, Adlersbrunn is once again at peace.
....But for how long?

141!Monster x Reader AU Masterlist
Huge HUUUUUUUGE Credit goes @bluegiragi who gave me permission to use the idea of the monster forms they let me use for the x Reader! Their art is fantastic and I highly recommend you check them out!! Note: this will NOT be connected to their comics or stories they have created, for the respect of their content so readers won't get confused, I am only using the monster forms and making my own headcannons. || MDNI || 18+, these mini stories very much will have adult themes and also will have Smut, Violence, Language, and Dark Themes. You have been warned. This is also a Fem!POV for the Reader just a heads up! Requests: Closed Asks: Closed
Summary: You are the Nurse/Doctor to the Task force 141 the case of 4 strong cryptic gentleman that have inhuman abilities. It's your job to make sure they are in check with their health, check their vitals, and make sure they are home safe. It takes a toll on them doing what they do. Perhaps you will grow closer to them... maybe even more than that.
Note: This is will not be a Poly x Reader BUT I am thinking about making small one shots with Poly stuff cause the ideas are cute in my head. These will be in different POV with the Reader, depending who your favorite is, or you just want to experience them all.
Tumblr media
John Price: A Green Fire breathing Dragon, and the Captain of the group. Under those green rough scales is a man who craves to have companionship, but he's not gonna tell you that, Dragons have plenty of secrets.
Masterlist: WIP
Ask's: None
Headcannons: None
Tumblr media
Simon "Ghost" Riley: Lieutenant of task 141. The Dark Shadow Wraith that has a dark secret beneath his gift, will you be the light to his Darkness?
Masterlist: WIP
Ask's: None
Headcannons: None
Tumblr media
John "Soap" MacTavish: Sargent of the Task 141, did we also mention he is also a werewolf. His cocky attitude with his loyal personality could warm your heart, but he has a little trouble controlling his wolf form... in many different ways. You could possibly teach an old dog new tricks.
Masterlist: WIP
Ask's: None
Headcannons: None
Tumblr media
Kyle "Gaz" Garrick: Also a Sargent of Task 141. Known as the Harpy of the group. The man having a wide wing span of an eagle and very much in tune with his gifts, probably a little cocky thinks he can take on the world from the high skies. Maybe you can keep him grounded, and keep his head out of the clouds.
Masterlist: WIP
Ask's: None Headcannons: None

Wolf Dragon (Monster)
Tumblr media
(Pride by Nimphradora on FurAffinity)
(Although I didn't use it for art, this is another dragon inspired by Safari's line of dragons. The hook of a wolf dragon is very interesting, and I used it to create a rare social dragon, as well as to provide DMs with access to a culture like that of the Alpha-Beta-Omega hierarchy we once thought wolves had. Feel free to use other Alpha-Beta-Omega tropes, by the way. I also tied them with werewolves, because they are magic Wolves and I love monster ecology.)
CR8 LN Large Dragon (Earth)
Also known as lycanodrachs, or d’rrowg among themselves, wolf dragons are a rarity among dragonkind, as they live and hunt in social groups. These groups follow a strict hierarchy, one resembling that of wolves, but involving regular battles for dominance. These fights are typically ritualized, and it is considered taboo for one wolf dragon to kill another who has surrendered, but they are still loud, violent events.
Wolf dragons are also highly territorial, and do not accept other large predators- or parties of humanoids- in their air space. Such intruders will, typically, be first approached by a flying wolf dragon who attempts to shout them down. Any who continue their flight afterwards will be attacked by the group with lethal intent. Despite this, those who obey the rules of a wolf dragon pack will find them courteous and wise hosts. Wolf dragon culture heavily values oral tradition, and they consider sharing their stories with guests to be an important aspect of hospitality.
D’rrowg frequently cohabitate with stag dragons, although stag dragons typically choose not to integrate into wolf dragon packs, finding their violent power struggles and strict code of honor distasteful. Lycanthropes, most often werewolves, will sometimes enter a wolf dragon pack. Such beings are treated as a second class within the pack, but are still welcomed on the hunt and feasts. The real benefit, however, is maintaining their old personality when surrounded by wolf dragons. Wolf dragons hate green dragons, and will gladly sacrifice their life to take one down.
This large wolflike creature has a pair of backwards-facing horns and batlike wings complimenting its lupine features. Additionally, a wolf dragon may issue a psychic command to any lycanthrope within the aura, as with the spell Command or Murderous Command. The lycanthrope gets a DC15 Will save to ignore the command. Tactician (Ex)- As a swift action, a wolf dragon may grant one teamwork feat its possesses to an ally with 30ft who can see or hear it. They benefit from this ability for 10 rounds, and can only be granted one teamwork feat this way from any wolf dragon at a time. Wolf Empathy (Ex)- This ability functions as a druid’s wild empathy, using a wolf dragon's racial HD, but only for wolves.

I have a page for my worldbuilding projects that’s a huge WIP, but in the mean time, here’s a list of the ones I can remember off the top of my head!  I’ve done my best to split these by genre, although some obviously fit in multiple categories. You can also browse through my "original stuff" tag for things that haven't made it as far as a concrete project, if you can tolerate the mess.
UPDATE: Tumblr changed their tag system, so I had to fix the links.  They SHOULD be working, but chronological links don’t cooperate with mobile, so I’ve made them general links.  Please add /chrono to the url if you can, a few of these are very weird out of order (looking at you, Boar’s Blood).
Urban Fantasy
Witchmouth General; comedy about a hospital in a city that is mostly monsters and aliens
Freedom Over Gold; a comedy-drama about a trio of homunculi killing their masters
Immortality and Tax Fraud; a comedy about gods who possess people and the hosts that are still resisting them (slightly NSFW)
Mundane Motherhood; a slice of life/recovery story about a woman who adopts a kid who was being raised to fight demons
The Empty City; a drama about a limbo world entered in dreams by people who compete for “days”, which give them another day of life in the real world
The Mortal Forge; an adventure story about a group of cursed people putting together an expedition to find a legendary cure
Tethered; a slice of life story in a setting where everyone has a familiar, starring two teenagers who are “tethering” their familiars, allowing them to become more physical and sentient
Fallen Angels in YOUR Area!; a comedy about a group of angels who are banished to earth for gaining too much individuality
Arlan Kingslayer; a comedy about classic high fantasy book characters being brought to the real world and not wanting to leave
High Fantasy
Boar’s Blood; an adventure story about a magical society built on the grave of an undead dragon that is rapidly falling apart (NSFW)
The Phoenix Bride; an adventure story/romance about a woman exploring an ever-expanding magical tower to confess her feelings to the woman who created it
God Hunters; technically closer to magical steampunk, an all-women drama about monster hunters (NSFW)
Scales and Bonedust; in a setting where some humans live in dwellings draped over the backs of dragons, a man and a dragonling try to find their way home after their whole community is killed
Rabbitheart; a fairy tale of sorts about a young jester (and would-be sorceress) trying to reclaim her familiar to earn a princess' hand in marriage, with a large section of backstory about the setting's version of Arthurian lore
The Mayfly; a dark fantasy about a mortal half-elf prince learning the truth of elven immortality
Whalefall; merfolk dark fantasy about a "bloodsalt knight" (a soldier who bites themselves to draw attacking predators to the blood and away from their school) who is separated from her people
Mark the End; trope manipulation on 'everyone grows up and has babies' endings where the children are the reborn god-monsters their guardians fought as teenagers. heavy on monster lore and character drama
Vampire Prince Walter; a romantic comedy about childhood sweethearts (who have since become a vampire and a werewolf) being arranged to marry each other... as long as their fathers don't find out they like each other too much to spy on the other.
Science Fiction
New Apocalyptia; a comedy about a world where all movie apocalypses happened at once (slightly NSFW)
Salt Water; an adventure story about a group trying to reach the bottom of their world’s incredibly deadly oceans, also mermaids and surfing as a death sport
Peppermint Circuits; a gay love story set in a world where everyone has a chip in their brain to influence their behavior (slightly NSFW)
Spycaller; a murder mystery about humans who interact with the intergalactic community from within mech suits
Superheroes
Superfish; a traditional coming of age superhero story about an LGBT group for college-aged sidekicks
Isaac is Okay; a very gentle story about a timetraveling superhero that traps himself in the past to raise his younger self away from their abusive father
Villain Risk; a superhero drama about an illegal hero team being arrested, told after the fact by a social worker, a kid in juvenile detention, and a shapeshifter who killed a cop and stole his life
Fate and Switch; a soulmate au fakeout about psychically linked superheroes who have been brainwashed, and their partners’ attempts to find them
Tooth and Nail; a superhero/kaiju mashup about bioengineered superheroes fighting monsters, and the protagonist’s attempts to protect his new apprentice from the horrors of their work
You Can Keep the Mask On; a superhero story intended to be told through sexual encounters between characters, obviously (very NSFW)
Overpowered; a comedy about a city's extremely, well, overpowered supervillains
Abelsons; a superhero story focusing on the "support" members, such as the people who make costumes and the medics
Bonus Individual Posts
that one about the destiny orphanage that one about the silkworm aliens

Fics that I’m dying to write:
Steve In The Upside Down (so many variations)
Steve getting shot by Nancy in S1 (might also connect to Steve being dragged into the Upside Down) How Will that turn out? What are the consequences? How does this affect everyone? It was only supposed to be a warning shot…
Steve befriending a Demodog. It somehow disconnected from the Hivemind or was created as defect, hence the other monsters turn on it. But Steve saves it and in turn they both bond.
Steve has Powers (I’m already writing and continuing my first fic. But I want more different powers for him)
Steve’s powers being more physical and more practical. Maybe even adaptable and willing to change. Especially under pressure. Kinda like how El can fight off 001 in their minds and Steve can finish him off by destroying his physical body too.
Richard Harrington and Steve both flee to escape the abuse from Richard’s wife, Steve’s Mother and find themselves at Forest Hills Trailer Park. Before S1 maybe?? Eddie and Wayne notice their new neighbours and their story starts from there.
Hannibal Inspired fic but I’ve never seen the show. Only like, the premise and insane amount of Hannigram. Except, Henry/001/Vecna was stolen, taken under Brenner, a mad-man who believes that Cannibalism is the key to knowing all and the human condition. 001 was passed the torch to continue Brenner’s experiments and quest. So, he tries to find his first victim. First it was El, but then she escaped. His first attempt and failure, but he succeeds with capturing Steve. But then no matter how hard he tries, Steve never breaks, so he sets out to find a more younger impressionable youth; enter Will Byers. Steve stays and tries to keep Will alive and sane. Will they escape? Will they be brainwashed like how Brenner did to Henry? Will El find others to help them escape? Will they actually find the key from consuming human flesh? Is that Jason fucking Carver and why does he have Chrissy Cunningham and Eddie Munson tied up? Steve feels like everything is going to shit. Now he has more people to save before they become the next main course. Hehehehehe—
Steve actually being Dmitri’s son. Steve was taken as a baby and sent across to the USA, Dmitri hoping to give him a better shot at life rather than to stay in Russia. Can you imagine in S4 when Dmitri follows Hopper back to Hawkins that he’s reunified with his son?
Everyone besides Steve is a Vampire and Steve is the last werewolf. Humans have hunted down Werewolves for centuries and the numbers have dwindled down severely, right down to almost extinction. Vampires are more adaptable and find it easy to survive in plain sight. The Party and everyone in their Coven have found sanctuary in Hawkins and for years, things have been normal. But then a new scent and sunshine of a boy comes along with it (after S1) — but his timing is seemingly the worst because now he’s facing off Demodogs as a giant wolf and no one knows who he truly is unless he shifted back as a human. In S1, he missed out on the excitement but he got to know and become close to everyone. But then in S2, he is faced with the existence of The Upside Down and vein revealed that his friends and found-family are in fact Vampires. Oh and Vecna is a boomer elder-vampire. Everyone in The Party does not know ANYTHING about Werewolves and so, they learn a lot from Steve when they finally know about him and vice versa. ;))
Another Werewolf Steve AU but this time, he’s hurt, while hunting in his wolf form, he was caught in a bear trap and found by Wayne. Inspired by How To Train Your Dragon scene, Wayne was about to mercifully kill the wolf, but looked into his eyes and saw himself. So he instead took it upon himself and take the wolf back and nurse it back to health. Eddie of course has no idea what his Uncle is hiding until he finds out and freaks out. But finds himself enamoured by the wolf too. Steve is so fucked because he needs to shift back soon, his body itches and the need to be human again nawed at his entire being.
Kali introduces the Punk Culture to Steve. They have a sibling pond and Steve loves his new self. Kali dyes his hair, shaves it a little on the side/s and helps picks out clothes and everything. The whole gang also educated him of the history, iconic figures and music. Just, Punk Steve means a lot to me. You can also imagine him and El bonding about it too. “Bitching.” Eddie is head over heels. Wait, is that a bloody hanky in his pants right back pocket?
I will expand on these later and separately. But these fic ideas have been in my brain and I can’t write them out because I already have two fics to focus on. So ah, thank you for letting me get this off my mind and into the world. 💜🪻
