pairing ; conrad fisher x reader
summary ; the three summers that connected you to conrad
warning ;
note! lover inspired 😛 i tried something new and wrote it in reader's pov or your pov, hope u like it!
⎯⎯ ୨ ୧ ⎯⎯
🩷🎀
The coastal town of cousins was alive with the sound of the waves crashing against the shore while the salty sea breeze brushes through my hair, it was the beginning of summer and I wasted no time going to the beach of cousins.
I sat there on the sand, reading cheesy and cliche romance books that twelve year old me longed for such love, which was then interrupted by a group of guys laughter.
I looked up to see three boys, one with curly hair, another with black hair and pale skin. Yet all I cared about was the boy with light eyes and messy hair.
With his messy hair and sunkissed skin, and the way the sun shone in his eyes. The way he pushed his glasses up every time it kept slipping off, or the way he runs his fingers through his hair.
I was shocked when they all walked towards me. I looked up at them confused, "Hi?"
"Hi, can you join us? we were about to play catch but we're short one person, and Conrad here was too shy to ask." The one with black hair asked, receiving a nudge in his rib.
"He thinks you're pretty! What's your name?" The curly haired one exclaimed, he seemed to be slightly younger than the other two. Red rushed to my cheeks as the two bicker in front of me.
I smiled at him, my cheeks red as roses. "I'm y/n, what about you guys?"
The three boys introduced themselves, the curly headed one as Jeremiah, the dark haired one as Steven.
Conrad, as I'd come to know him, he shared the magic of Cousins beach with me on all three summers we connected.
🧸🖼️
The summer when I turned 15, unfolded like a delicate dance between Conrad and I. Underneath the starlit sky, at beach bonfires and friendly gatherings, our eyes met in fleeting glances.
Cousins beach became a place where I visited every summer, thanks to my father and his intentions to bring some fun into the family. Conrad became my best friend since then, so did his family.
It was a battle in my mind everyday as I had developed a crush on my best friend, each day at Cousins it grows. Our feelings danced around each other with each step echoing each other's unspoken thoughts.
It was a really hot day at cousins beach and you were dying to go out and buy some ice cream. Just as you were about to call Belly to buy some, your mother stepped into your room.
"Hey honey, Conrad's downstairs, I think he wants to go to the boardwalk." She says with her warm smile that always insinuates something else.
I try to pretend annoyed and roll my eyes but my red cheeks and smile gives it away. "Stop with that look, you always do that with Conrad. I swear we're just friends, mom." I say, but my mother knew better.
"I didn't say anything, sweetie!" She says, laughing at my expense. I bid my goodbye and walked downstairs to greet Conrad.
He was there, by the living room with his tousled hair and a white tee and khaki shorts. He smiled up at me, adjusting his glasses as he walked his way to where I was.
"Hi connie, you ready to lose at all the games?" I grin, teasing him. He laughs at me as he ruffles up my hair.
"You wish, sunny." he said proudly as I swatted his hand away from my head. The nickname was something he created the day we watched the sunset together as I read him my Pride and Prejudice book.
I like that he keeps the memory close to heart the same way I do. Conrad was always thoughtful, he wasn't great at communication but he showed it in ways many couldn't.
At ring toss, Conrad was determined to win. Our tongues were stained red and blue from the slushie and snow cones we've had through the afternoon.
"Congratulations! You have won a price, which one would you like?" The guy said in a monotonous voice as Conrad finally won a game of ring toss. He thinks thoroughly before choosing the cutest little bear with a pink ribbon stitched by its ear.
He walked his way to where I stood and handed me the light brown bear with its pink ribbon. He sheepishly smiles, "Here, I got it for you."
In that moment I almost melted in a puddle of admiration. "Really? Thank you, Connie!" I said gleefully
He grins at my reaction, unbeknownst to me that he was giving me such an adoring look. "It reminded me of you, you know, with the way you always have a ribbon in your hair."
That alone made me feel all warm, Conrad is observant and he recognizes everything around him, and he noticed the ribbons in my hair.
🍒 🌅
I felt that this summer would be different. I wanted to make it different.
This was the summer I would admit to my feelings and tell Conrad, my best friend, that I was in love with him. I've read books about falling for your best friend, and I hoped it wouldn't ruin our friendship.
It was the night of the fourth of July, everyone was celebrating. Susannah hosted a lovely gathering at their house, and I had planned to confess to Conrad this summer.
Conrad was the one constant in my life, he was always by my side. His presence became a steady anchor, that makes everything in my life a little bit better.
Our group, the younger people, all went to the beach and had a little get together. Secrets were spilled, so were alcohol, and laughter was shared.
Conrad was right next to me, he had his arm over my shoulder as Steven told a funny story from the country club.
"You should've seen his face!" Steven says, and everyone laughed louder. Taylor played some music and ushered everyone to dance, and of course Steven was up in a heartbeat, inviting Taylor to dance with him.
I smiled at them, winking at Taylor. Conrad stood up and grabbed me to stand up. "Hi, dove." He said, a mere whisper.
We were so close to each other that I almost threw up, luckily I did not. "Connie, do you want to dance?" I say, eyeing him with a playful smirk on my face.
He chuckles, "I wanna talk." He said, a smile playing at his face.
It was night time, 24 minutes past nine pm of July fourth, a summer I will never forget.
"What's up, Con?" I say, brushing the sand away with my feet as I waited for him to say something.
"Look up, the stars look really captivating tonight." He says, but he wasn't even looking at the stars.
looking up, I smiled. "It really does."
"Just like you."
With that, I almost gave myself whiplash when I turned to look at him with reddened cheeks and wide eyes.
Conrad chuckles, as he reaches for my hand and threads his fingers through mine. "You know, the last few summers have been something special, hasn't it?" He pauses, looking down at our hands.
I nod, a smile forming on my face as I held onto his hand.
"Each day I spent with you I felt something more different, something that I can't quite put into words." He says, slowly inching towards me. I could feel my pulse quickening.
I sheepishly smile at him, "What do you mean, Conrad?"
He smiles, his hands coming near my face to tuck the stray piece of hair on my face. "I mean... I've fallen for you." Conrad says
His ocean eyes were staring into my soul, unknowingly our bodies were getting closer and closer.
I looked up at him, my eyebrows furrowed together. He continues, "I've fallen for you head over heals, y/n/n."
I took a deep breath about to say something when colors of red, white, and blue were in the sky.
Fireworks, I smiled. I had the biggest grin on my face as I looked at Conrad again, cupping his cheeks and pulling him into a kiss.
He was shocked at first but then quickly kisses me back, his arm entangled around my waist.
"I've loved you three summers now, Connie. And I want them all."

I would like to see Belly develop into a person with interests outside of Conrad and Jeremiah. I want to see her character grow into her own person; cuz right now her entire narrative is her relationship with the brothers. The writers need to do more for her character development. She's so one noted and at her core, not very interesting.

omg it’s me who wrote the jere request okay so hear me out on this pookie watching a scary movie with steven from tsitp and him trying to be like a protector but actually being scared 😍
Heyyyy! I love that idea so much!!
Steven and Taylor really carried this season on their backs!!
Anyway hope you like it ❤️
Tumblr media
What’s your favorite scary movie
Steven Conklin x reader.
TW: drinking, horror movies, fluff.
You heard the keys rattle in the door and got excited, Steven was home.
You smiled to yourself and stopped cutting the cookie dough into perfect little circles, the smell of chocolate chips and fresh dough filling the kitchen.
Steven asked Susannah if he could take you (his new girlfriend) to the beach house for a week to celebrate his birthday. Of course she said yes. The fishers loved you, especially after you stayed with them in the summer.
Steven went out to buy snacks for a movie night, while you stayed home and decided to surprise him with his favorite chocolate chip cookies.
When you didn’t see him you walked to the edge of the island peering into the entryway.
“Steven?” You called, getting a bit freaked out.
You screamed when something grabbed you from behind, you kicked until you realized it was your boyfriend laughing.
“What is wrong with you!” You tried not to smile.
“Come on! That was funny!” He laughed.
He hugged you tighter from behind letting you lead the way back to the cookie dough.
“To think I was being so nice by making you cookies.” You shook your head.
You felt him smile into your hair.
“With the extra chocolate chips?” He asked.
You just nodded. Soon enough he was smothering the side of your face with kisses, you smiled and turned to face him, his arms still around your waist.
“You missed.” You smiled, leaning up to kiss his lips, soft but passionate.
“You taste like cookie dough.” He smiled.
“Mmm.” You hummed against his chest.
Soon the cookies were in the oven and the bowls were in the sink. Well…most of them, Steven was licking the spoons claiming he was ‘helping’
Eventually the coffee table was filled with warm cookies, sour patch kids, twizzlers, m&ms, and some alcoholic concoction Steven made in the blender.
“What do you wanna watch n/n?” He asked.
“Whatever you want, it’s your birthday week.” You smiled as you passed him his glass of blue liquid and leaned into his side on the couch.
His arm was around your shoulder and your head was on his chest.
He scrolled through the movies for a while before deciding on the shining. It was this moment you realized you should’ve picked the movie, you hated horror films.
The first hour and a half was slow, and not that scary. You even got up to put a pizza in the oven.
As chaos started to ensue on screen the more tense you became. You pulled your legs to your chest and curled into Steven, scrunching his shirt from his tight you were holding on to him.
You jumped at the first scare, breathing heavier than normal. You wished you weren’t so jumpy.
“Hey, n/n…” Steven asked when your head was buried in his chest.
“Mmmm”
“Are you scared?” He asked. You looked up at him and slowly nodded.
He smiled slightly. “It’s okay….you know I’m here. I won’t let Jack Nicholson get you.” He held you tightly, rubbing your arm up and down to comfort you.
When Jack Nicholson’s character started to break down the bathroom door you grew more tense. You felt Steven’s heartbeat pick up too but figured he was just in the moment, he didn’t seem scared.
He kissed the side of your head, and squeezed you to let you know he was there.
You watched Danny run through the maze, you sat forward, hands over your mouth, so engrossed in the film. Steven rubbed your back up and down.
The oven timer went off and Steven jumped about six feet off the couch and let out a gasp.
You turned to him and smiled, which soon turned into a laugh.
He frowned as you giggled. “Come on that was funny.” You laughed, mimicking his earlier words.
He almost smiled…almost.
You paused the movie and put your hand out to help Steven off the couch.
“Come on ‘protector’ there might be more oven timers you need to fend off in the kitchen.” You joked.
Steven groaned. “Will I ever live that down?”
“Not in my lifetime.” You smiled giving him a kiss.
“Wanna watch scream next, scaredy cat!” Steven joked trying to tickle you, as you ran around the island.
“No!” You laughed and he caught you, lifting you off your feet, in between kisses and tickles, In a deep voice he said “what’s your favorite scary movie?”
You both laughed, you squirmed but he held you tight kissing you all over wanting this to last forever.

Can I request TSITP Jeremiah x reader where the reader is friends with the Fishers and Conklins? Her and Belly are closer and always joke about each getting a brother then it isn’t a joke anymore lol
Tumblr media
You and the Fishers had been family friends for many years, meeting every time summer rolled around at Cousins Beach. Your mum worked at the country club during the summer and a few years prior had introduced you to the Fishers and the Conklins. You were one month younger than Belly and you guys acted like sisters. In fact, you were one of the first people Belly told when she first started crushing on Conrad. And that same summer she was the first person you told about your feelings for Jeremiah. In retrospect you were both only 10 years old, you would both fantasise and joke about being with them one day not expecting it to happen. Now that you were both almost sixteen everything had changed. There was actually a possibility that It might just happen...
Jeremiah watched as the silver car pulled into the front of the house for the first time that summer. Knowing exactly whose car it was he ran outside. Greeting everyone with his signature smile.
"Look who came back all grown up?" he says ruffling Belly's long hair
"I think Conrad's gonna be real happy this summer he winked
"yeah, whys that?" she says with a smug tone
"oh, nothing he's just been asking every other day when you guys are gonna get here," he teases
"And speaking of..." Jeremiah cuts himself off as he looks up seeing Conrad come around the corner
"I'll leave you to it," he says with a light hand on her shoulder
he goes to Steven, going over their plans for the summer. Just a few minutes later a second car pulls into the driveway. Before anyone can process it Y/N is opening the car door and sprinting towards Belly with open arms.
"Belly!" she yells pulling her into her arms.
"Hi Y/N, god it's been so long" She wraps her arms around her
"You look amazing, you have to tell me everything that's happened this year" she eyes Belly up and down
"Are you kidding me? you look like a Victoria's Secret model, Jer is gonna freak" she says quietly
in mere seconds Jeremiah is practically shoving Belly out of the way to sling his arm over Y/N's shoulder
"Y/N!, I was waiting for you"
"you're gonna be hanging with me all summer," he says quietly pressing his face into her hair
"Yo Steven" he calls out, "
"you know what time it is?" they both exchange knowing looks
"I think it's time for a belly flop!" they shout in unison
Y/N's eyes widen slightly
"Jere no, Jere!" she tries to protest
it falls on deaf ears as he's already picking her up bridal style and making his way to the outdoor pool. In front of them, Steven and Conrad are carrying Belly, Conrad at her arms and Steven at her feet.
At the water's edge, they swing the girls one, two three times before throwing them in.
"Guys that's not funny I hurt my foot" Belly pretends reaching her hand out to Conrad. With a hard tug, she pulls him in.
"Jer help me out please?" she holds onto his hand, and seconds later she yanks him forward into the pool
"I can't belive you fell for that!" she laughed
"Don't think I'm not getting you back" he jokes clinging onto her her body as she swims to the edge to get out
"All of you get a room" Steven makes a disgusted face.
an: sorry this took so long I've been busy, also I really want to make this a series

whenever you get around to it, i'd love to see a jere sickfic. i dont really have any in specific, but there is a MAJOR lacking of them. (i havent found any)
Here you go!
I feel like Jeremiah would be the whiny/clingy sick person who just wants everyone to know they're sick and tend to them. I tried to channel that here!
Read on AO3
word count: 1,026
Jeremiah Fisher sluggishly walked downstairs to find his mother about to leave the house, dangling her keys and groaned to get her attention.
“Mom, can you take care of me? I don’t feel good” he said, pouting his lip and giving her puppy dog eyes to convince her to stay.
Susannah just laughed. “Jere, I told you not to go swimming in the rain last night. It was a bad storm!” she said, shrugging her shoulders.
“I’m already late. I have to get to the club. But Laurel is here” she told her son, kissing the top of his head.
Susannah smiled softly at her son as he sniffled. She walked out of the kitchen, dangling her keys and shut the front door as she left to spend her day at the country club where both Jeremiah and Steven worked.
That morning, Jeremiah woke up with a scratchy throat, aches all over his body, his head pounded like a drum, and chills from the fever he was probably running.
He sulked as he stood in the kitchen clutching his blanket over him like a cape, attempting to combat the uncomfortable chills running through his body. Just then, Laurel came to the rescue.
Jeremiah’s face lit up like a kid on Christmas Day as she walked into the kitchen holding her purse.
He quickly changed his expression from excited to miserable.
“Laurel? I don’t feel good” he cried, sniffling from his runny nose.
“Oh no,” she said somberly as she noticed the boy’s pale and flushed complexion accompanied by rosy cheeks.
Jeremiah frowned at her, knowing that was her kryptonite.
Laurel walked over to the boy and immediately pressed the back of her hand to his toasty forehead.
“Oh, bud. You’re definitely running a fever. Go lie down on the couch and I’ll see what medicine we have here” Laurel instructed, turning toward the cabinet, she rooted around for the sick day essentials.
Jeremiah nodded at her directions and walked over to the couch draping another blanket on top of him and burying his head in a pillow.
Laurel quietly walked over to the couch and sat on the edge holding a measuring cup filled with Tylenol and a digital thermometer.
“Jere, can you tell me what’s bothering you?” she asked, giving him a thin-lipped smile.
Jeremiah sat up a little and held his temples, “My head is pounding, my nose keeps running and my throat really hurts” he said and coughed into his elbow.
“And I have the chills,” he added, pulling the quilted blanket up to his chin.
“Ah, a summer cold. Nothing I can’t fix” she said, smiling again and set the cup of medicine on the coffee table adjacent to the couch.
“Can you sit up so I can get a read on that fever?” she asked, and Jeremiah obeyed, pushing his weak body up slightly against the pillow.
Laurel held the thermometer in the air and placed it under his tongue. “Keep it there. I’ll be right back” she said brushing her hand through his matted curls.
Laurel came back to the living room with a glass of water just as the thermometer beeped. She set the glass onto the coffee table and sat on the edge of the couch turning herself toward the boy.
She grabbed the thermometer out of his mouth and sighed at the reading. “Well, the good news is your fever is low. The Tylenol should do the trick” she said, leaning over to grab the medicine.
Jeremiah nodded, making his curls sway back and forth. He grabbed the medicine cup from Laurel’s hands and drank it. Then, took a long sip of water before curling up on the couch, his head hitting the pillow, he craned his neck to see Laurel standing up.
“Call or text if you need anything. I have to go down to the bookstore to sign some books, but I won’t be too long. Get some rest” she said and bent down to kiss him on the forehead.
“Thanks Laurel” he said in between a yawn and closed his eyes.
###
Jeremiah woke up in a cold sweat, coughing his lungs out making him bend over to grab the glass of water and chug the remaining liquid.
When he was finished, he stood up to refill the glass. He walked over to the kitchen and was startled by Belly who sat at the counter drinking a smoothie.
“Wow, you were out like a light. I thought the blender would wake you up” she said, looking up from her phone.
“Cold medicine” he said with a laugh and opened the refrigerator to grab the water filter, pouring the cold water into the glass.
Jeremiah put the water filter back in the refrigerator and turned to see Belly. He sniffled realizing he needed another dose of medicine. He thought he would feel refreshed from the four-hour nap he took but he still felt exhausted.
He yawned which made Belly stifle a hearty laugh. “Are you okay?” she asked, wondering how he could still be tired.
“Stop, Bells. I’m sick. Don’t laugh at me” he whined, coughing into his elbow. Jeremiah groaned. He hated being sick during the summer, especially on a perfect beach day.
Luckily, he could feel the medicine doing the trick. His head didn’t hurt anymore but that was replaced with his teeth aching.
“It’s just a cold. You’re just like Steven! You’re both so dramatic when you’re sick” she explained.
Jeremiah rolled his eyes, “Whatever, Bells. I’m going back to sleep” he said and walked over to the couch, draping the quilt over him, and burying his head underneath.
###
Jeremiah woke up again in a coughing fit. He checked his phone, and it hadn’t even been fifteen minutes since he lied back down. Hearing the bouts of harsh coughing, Belly ran over to the couch.
She leaned over the back of the couch and rubbed Jeremiah’s back. He sniffled as the coughing died down.
“God, I’m never going swimming in the rain again,” he said in a raspy voice. Belly laughed under her breath, knowing he was definitely going to do it again.

It's Not Summer Without You: A Journey of Heartbreak, Love, and the Nostalgia of Growing Up
Tumblr media
***SPOILER ALERT***
Introduction: Step into the world of love, friendship, and self-discovery as we delve into the captivating show "The Summer I Turned Pretty." As a devoted fan, I can't help but be torn between the Fisher boys—Conrad and Jeremiah—though I must confess, I'm secretly rooting for Jeremiah. This series holds a special place in my heart, not only for its enchanting storyline but also because it beautifully pays homage to the book series by Jenny Han, which was an important part of my adolescence. In this blog post, we'll relive the unforgettable first season, reflecting on the sheer heartbreak we all felt when Susannah passed and the fury that ignited when Aunt Julia put the beach house up for sale. Join me on this emotional rollercoaster, where nostalgia and love collide, in the world of "The Summer I Turned Pretty."
1. The Unforgettable First Season: "The Summer I Turned Pretty" begins with Belly, portrayed by the talented Lara Condor, as she spends her summers at Cousin's Beach with her family and longtime family friends—the Fisher brothers, Jeremiah and Conrad. Little did I know that their presence would leave me utterly torn between them, just like Belly. The first season unfolds against the backdrop of sun-kissed beaches and carefree days, capturing the essence of growing up, summer romances, and the complexities of relationships.
2. A Tale of Torn Hearts: As the story unravels, my heart sways between the brooding and enigmatic Conrad and the charming and magnetic Jeremiah. Their bond with Belly and their individual complexities make the love triangle even more heart-wrenching. Each glance, touch, and whispered word has me cheering for Jeremiah, even as I empathize with Belly's confusion.
3. The Heartbreak of Loss: The show doesn't shy away from the raw emotions of life. The passing of Susannah, the beloved Fisher brothers' mother, hit us all like a tidal wave of grief. The portrayal of loss and its impact on the characters made the show feel all the more genuine, drawing us closer to their world.
4. The Fury of Change: My heart shattered when Aunt Julia decided to put the beach house up for sale. The very foundation of the characters' summer haven was at risk, and I found myself feeling the fury that gripped them all. The beach house was more than just a location; it held memories of laughter, love, and growth—a place that became synonymous with the magic of summer.
5. Nostalgia of Jenny Han's Book Series: As a devoted reader of Jenny Han's book series, I couldn't help but feel a surge of nostalgia as the show brought the pages to life. "The Summer I Turned Pretty" book series was my cherished companion during my adolescence, and seeing the characters and their stories portrayed on screen was a heartwarming and emotional experience.
Conclusion: "The Summer I Turned Pretty" is more than just a show; it's an emotional journey that resonates deeply with many fans, including myself. As my heart remains torn between the Fisher boys, I find solace in the nostalgia that Jenny Han's book series holds for me. The heartbreak of losing Susannah and the fury over the potential loss of the beach house have left indelible imprints on my heart.
As we eagerly await the next chapter of Belly's journey, I can't help but cherish the memories of the summer that turned everything beautifully upside down. The magic of "The Summer I Turned Pretty" lies not just in its captivating storytelling, but in the way it captures the essence of growing up, love, and friendship—all of which mirror the nostalgia of my own coming-of-age experiences. -A
