Batfam and Danny, Part 11
A few hours later.
The JL had finished debriefing after their raid on Luthor's lab, Most members had returned to their homes, but some still remained at the Watchtower to do some work.
Clark: Danny!
Danny: Hi Clark, back so soon?
Clark: Yes, I brought my family with me.
Danny: Kryptonite weakness removal?
Clark: Yes, if you don't mind.
Danny (getting up): Not at all.
Clark: Everyone this is Danny, Bruce's grandson, aka Phantom.
Danny: Hi.
Clark: These are my sons, Kon-El and Jon-El.
Kon: Hey.
Jon (flying over to Danny and giving him a hug): Hi, it's so good to meet you! Damian talks so much about you. He really likes to have someone to teach swordsmanship.
Damian: Damian also talks a lot about you, he really likes talking about how great of a best friend you are.
Jon: Yeah Damian's a great best friend too.
Clark: Jon, give Danny some room to breath.
Danny: Don't worry, I don't need to breath.
Clark: I- never mind. This is my cousin Kara Zor-El, and her kids Otho-Ra-El and Osul-Ra-El.
Kara: So you're the kid that eat a shard of Kryptonite?
Danny: It was delicious!
Kara: There is something about the House of Wayne that makes you children a little feral.
Danny shrugged
Otho: It's good to meet you Phantom. You may call me Octavia.
Osul: And me Oscar, unlike our relatives we care about our secret identities and don't use our Kryptonian names as our Earth names.
Clark, Kara, Kon, Jon: ...
Danny: Yeah... that's a bit of an oversight.
Kon: I-
Otho: A one letter difference doesn't count.
Osul: Honesty, Kon and Con.
Clark: I- I did not bring the two of you here to judge me.
Lois: The kids has a point.
Clark: And this is my wife Lois.
Lois: Hi. Not Kryptonian so I don't need any healing.
Kon: So you can just heal our weakness to Kryptonite?
Danny: Yup, if you guys could just stand still. Danny made his way through each of them snapping his fingers. There you go, that should due the job.
Bruce: Let's see. Bruce reached into his toolbelt and took out a small shard of Kryptonite. Here you go.
Kara: You just keep Kryptonite, on your person?
Bruce: Clark gave it to me.
Clark: I give all the Kryptonite I find to Bruce for safe keeping.
Kara: I knew that, I just didn't expect he'd just carry it around at all times. Anyways let me see. She picked up the shard of Kryptonite and fiddled with it. Hmm nothing. Clark. She threw the shard to Clark who likewise felt nothing. They proceeded to pass the shard to each other till it returned to Kara.
Kara: Yeah, this thing is useless.
Danny: Does that mean I can eat it?
Bruce (looking at Danny): I'll like to keep it for research if you don't mind Clark.
Clark: Sure thing I gave them to you for a reason- oh... guess your contingency plans won't work anymore...
Bruce: Yeah, I'm already working on a way to harvest the power of an artificial red star in a small easy to carry object. So don't sleep too soundly.
Clark: Yeah that's fair. Let's go I'll help you.
Some time passed, Bruce and Clark were working on Bruce's plan to make an artificial red sun, Kara, Otho, and Osul were sunbathing on the outside of the Watchtower, and Danny, Kon, and Jon were just chatting.
Danny: Wait there's something that doesn't add up. If you're 12 and your parents are 34, then that means they had you when they were-
Jon: 22, yes.
Kon (laughing): Mom and dad, and uncle Jimmy, graduated from high school when they were 16, and college at 19. They all started working at the Daily Planet shortly after that, that's when they all met. Mom and Dad quickly became close and then a few years later during a workplace party, mom and dad both had a little too much to drink and nine moths later my little brother here was born, a few weeks before our parents turned 23.
Clark (who walked over): Yeah Ma and Pa were a little upset about me having a kid so young, but they were a massive help during Lois' pregnancy and with Jon as a baby.
Lois (laughing): My dad on the other hand almost marched over to Clark's apartment with a shotgun when he found out.
Clark: I don't think he's ever fully forgiven me.
Lois: Nonsense he loves you!
Jon: Look if anything I get to brag to Damian that I'm 10 days older than him. It makes him so mad.
Danny: Yeah I read about the circumstances surrounding Damian's birth. Look, I've never meet Talia al Ghul, I'm sure she's a smart person, but if you're going to seduce someone to get blackmail out of them, don't get so involved into the conversation that you end up drinking so much, that you end up having a drunken one night stand.
Bruce: I really should have kept track of how much we had both been drinking, but Talia knew how to hold a conversation. That was an interesting night nonetheless...
Kon: How about the night of the pink Kryptonite incident from 8 years ago?
Bruce and Clark: WE DON'T TALK ABOUT THAT!
Danny: ...
Lois: Still can't believe you threw the pink Kryptonite into a black hole rather than keeping it for us to use.
Clark: And I can't belief that's what you decided to focus on.
Lois: What? I can't blame you for what happened, we had never come across pink Kryptonite before, so you and Bruce went to test it in a safe isolated environment. None of us could have predicted that it would do what it did, let alone that it would indirectly have the same affect on non-Kryptonians. The whole thing was nothing more than an accident.
Danny: What did it do?
Bruce and Clark: NOTHING!
(Master Post)
Just a few notes from the author:
In this AU Otho and Osul are not Phaelosian but Kryptonian. They also survived the destruction of Krypton.
Clark arrived as a baby 34 years ago.
Jon was born 12 years ago.
Kara arrived on Earth 7 years ago, at age 16, is now 23.
Kon joined the family 6 years ago (then biologically a 14 year old) is now 20 years old.
And Otho and Osul arrived on Earth 2 years ago at 14 years old, they are now 16, and were adopted by Kara.
p.s. I kinda messed up the timeline a bit with the ages, I wanted Bruce to adopt Dick when Bruce was 24 and Dick 14. In the present Dick is 25 and Bruce 34 (still hasn't turned 35). Then I decided to make Bruce and Clark the same age so Clark is also 34. Then I decided to make Damian and Jon 12 without doing the math that Clark and Bruce would have been 22 when they had them...
By the time I realized, I just decided that what happened happened and rolled with the idea.
Lastly pink Kryptonite in this AU basically causes the Kryptonian to develop a blinding level of lust for the first person they see, a feeling that can transferred to the person if there's any physical contact between them.

I've been seeing your post about the podcast on Octavia Butler going around and I've been wondering, why do you think people only seem to react that way too problematic relationships? I've heard an English major, book reviewer say that they should've made the girl of legal age if they wanted to write about her stepfather attempting to prey on her because it's "gross" and also acted like it was an oversight. Another one, thought a book that is famously about a predator and the author is a victim of predation and the book is marketed about predation, romanticized predation and abuse and described it as an attempt at writing romance and failing? I don't know, I've just never seen anyone get that way about murder. Anyway, hi sex witch! 🧙‍♀️
I think there are like. complex and innumerable reasons for this, but re: the murder comparisons I think for many people it's worryingly easy to imagine that someone might actually act on or want to act on #problematic sexual behaviors depicted in fiction. like, the amount of murder that most people are doing IRL is absolutely zero, so I think it's kind of easy for most folks to sequester that away in a little fantasy bubble where someone who enjoys reading about murder is as likely to actually be partaking in that interest as someone who enjoys reading about riding dragons or traveling through space. whereas, statistically, most people have sex at some point, or at least could be having sex, so it feels like a much more reasonable concern to assume that their fictional tastes might be directly reflected in their actual behavior.
which is tied to another huge issue here, which is that I think a lot of people just... never learn to engage in a healthy manner with things that yuck them out or make them uncomfortable? so they get in a headspace where it's impossible to imagine that anyone willingly engages with fiction that they don't personally 100% condone. which extends to critiques of authors like you're mentioning, where some readers can't seem to ken that there's an intention and artistry to showing something vile beyond that depiction either being the author's personal fetish or their attempt to be an edgelord. a booktuber who I otherwise like quite a lot once downgraded their review of Akwaeke Emezi's novel The Death of Vivek Oji because it features a queer sexual relationship between cousins and the reviewer found the inclusion of incest to be unnecessary, which seems to be rather missing the point of a novel that's entirely about a family being drowned by its own secrets.
and also idk many people, especially my fellow USAmericans who have a bad tendency of skewing very prudish whether they recognize it or not, are just very very very scared of any sex that falls outside of Gayle Rubin's charmed circle
Tumblr media
and will kind of immediately start getting nervous when exposed to it without ever once interrogating why. I absolutely guarantee you someone is going to sent me an angry anon about at least one aspect of this circle asking why I'm trying to justify it, which is going to illustrate the point very nicely.

🦚 Andrealphus x Reader headcanons Ice and fire ❄️
You were connected with Andrealphus by what was usually called a long history. You've really known each other for a long time, much longer than you'd like. Being from a fairly influential family, you seemed to him the perfect candidate for marriage. He planned to arrange your engagement in order to gain not only the power and influence of your family, but also you. He would never admit it in person, but he was in love, in love with you, much more than he was willing to admit it. In his head, his plan was perfect, but he forgot to consider something very important. He forgot to consider that you might not agree to such a thing. And so it happened
Your refusal caused your parents' sincere displeasure and shock. It was hard for him to believe that you refused him without even hearing a confession of his feelings, but he didn't despair. He was sure that either your parents would influence you, or he would be able to gain your favor. But the more often you met, the more he became convinced that you weren't going to put up with a possible engagement. You were burning with anger, often literally. If he was ice, then you were fire, you burned, burning everything in your path when you were thrown out of emotional balance. And Andrealphus was someone you really couldn't stand. It was as if you saw right through him and weren't going to let him get anywhere near you. It hurt his pride, and when it was finally decided that the engagement was not going to happen, he began to behave coldly towards you. From the outside, it seemed like you both hated each other. Perhaps it really was, but his hatred was tightly intertwined with love, which did not go away even after your rejection
Years have passed. His sister got married, gave birth to a daughter, and her marriage seemed to be based solely on her daughter, because she hated her husband, and Stolas had no tender feelings for her. You didn't stand still either. You took the place of the head of your family, you were strong, you were respected and feared, but unlike Andrealphus, you were not evil or arrogant. He knew about it from his sister's stories. You were a frequent visitor to their house, because you were her husband's friend and their daughter's named cousin. You often visited her, gave her gifts, and spent time with her. Stella saw you smiling at her sincerely and it annoyed her, but she couldn't kick you out, because Stolas wouldn't allow it. She was sure that her brother shared her anger at you, and in a way he did. Only his anger had a different meaning. He was angry that even now, when you were both adults, when you both had high social statuses and power, you continued to ignore him, and when he tried to start a dialogue with you, you were angry, and it was obvious from the way your fire started to flare up. But at the same time, you were so kind to Stolas and Octavia, as if they were your family
On the day when Stolas came to see his daughter, Andrealphus felt real gloating. He saw how hard it was for him, and when he was about to show him and his low-born comrades what happens when you try to harm someone like him, something happened that he did not expect. His ice has melted under the heat of your fire. You walked slowly towards him, there was no anger on your face, just fatigue and irritation, but your hair and hands were burning with a bright fire. It would seem that a little more, and this fire will cover your whole body. You protected Stolas and the others, which caused Andrealphus to be more angry. He left without seeing the drama that unfolded in the courtyard, but soon he felt the ice that had engulfed the house begin to melt. You were inside. You came with Octavia. You came for her and he just got caught and it really pissed him off. The way you looked at him back then made him angry. It made him angry that you looked at him like he was a moody kid who threw a tantrum. He intended to prove you wrong, even though he didn't know how yet
He soon found out from Stella that Octavia had left for you. You just put his sister in front of the fact, not going to listen to her indignation. You justified this by saying that it was too unhealthy an environment for the girl, and if Stella wanted to argue with you, she could at least go to court, but then let her and her brother expect that you will certainly find something to tell during the court session. You obviously knew a lot more than they thought, but you had no purpose in taking the power. You just wanted to protect Octavia. And that could be his chance. Now he could come to your house under the pretext of visiting his niece. He was more than sure that you wouldn't have been happy about his visit, but you would have let him in, which means he could have shown you that you would have had much more opportunities with him. He wanted to show you that even ice and fire could find a common language, that even your hatred could be replaced by love, because his own hatred could melt from one of your sincere smiles and gentle touch, like an ice cube under the June sun

Black History Month has just started, and the internet is throwing a fit. Peter Tyler - famed writer/director - released a teaser trailer for his upcoming documentary, BLKWMN Excellence. The film - dated to be released later this month to honor Black History Month in Simerica - highlights international black women making differences across the the arts, politics, and beyond. From lyrist Octavia Moon to Princess Zelda.
Tumblr media
Prince Jase of Genova and wife Princess Zelda on their wedding day
Why is that causing a problem? No, it's not the racist. Well, some - but the big outrage is who is featured. The one-minute clip quickly flashes pictures of dozens of great women. At the end, the screen freezes to show a list of the women in the documentary. One eagled-eyed viewer pointed out Princess Odette of Haven's name.
Tumblr media
Princess Odette attends the "North Star" charity gala with her mum, Crown Princess Emelia
The tiny royal began her philanthropic journey at the age of five, donating her birthday presents to children's hospitals. To many fans, that didn't seem bad. The issue is the lack of recognition for her aunt and cousins: the Harkne family. The "outrage" has led to heated online debates.
Tumblr media
Understandable - to a degree, right? The misunderstanding that the Duchess of Harkne is not of African descent should have ended the fight. However, that has shifted to her adopted children, Princess Millie and Princess Rayne. The twins are for sure black with the genetic makeup of their biological mother, Paris Vania, and Prince Drake. So where are they in this documentary?
Gossip Queen would love to hear your thoughts. Share your tea and stay tuned.

@thoughtfulfuri sorry this took me so long! A revised list of books you should look into reading this year. I could have added more ahaha, but this will keep you plenty busy.
Deeply informed by your list and the brief of:  “Books that have deeply influenced the thrust of the genre and media broadly”
I also went for breadth over depth--you had some authors with a TON of books on your list, and if you’re looking for understanding of media influence I’m not sure that’s the best use of your time. THis isn’t a perfect list but I think it’ll provide a better net than your original. I do not know what you have an haven’t read. Spots where I think you might have read my recommendation I supplied a second. An incomplete list, because no list is ever complete, and always has huge gaps in judgment. WE can always make a new list next year!
Agatha Christie -- And Then There Were None This was already on your list and it’s perfect. I prefer Murder On the Orient Express, but in fairness, those are the only two Christie novels I’ve ever read. And I’d keep it to one from each author.
The Art of War — Sun Tzu  From your list, I have no issue with it
Kurt Vonnegut -- Slaughterhouse Five  This is his best and most enduring work. IF you’re looking for incredible influence, this is the one.
Octavia Butler -- Kindred  I winnowed down your multiple Butler works to this big hitter.
Isaac Asimov -- I, Robot From your list, make total sense
Daphne DuMaurier -- Rebecca You had My Cousin Rachel, which is great fun, but Rebecca is THE DuMaurier book.
Leo Tolstoy -- War and Peace I replaced Crime and Pnishment with this not because I don’t like Crime and Punishment, but because if you’re going to commit to a russian novel, you may as well make it the most influential one ever written. This is routinely hailed as the best fucking novel ever written. It is in fact great. I will reread it with you this year!
Frank Herbert -- Dune. This is from your original list and it’s fine I guess. I think reading Dune is a waste of time unless you’re super into sci-fi, but I won’t fight it.
JRR Tolkien-- The Fellowship of the Ring From your original list and yeah absolutely. Cannot hope to ujnderstand fantasy as a genre without reading this. If you like it I recommend the whole series, but Tolkien can be hard for people.
Harper Lee -- To Kill A Mockingbird From your list. Yes, this is an incredibly important American piece.
Jane Austen -- Pride and Predjudice. There is no more influential Austen novel. You gotta. If you’ve read P&P read Sense and Sensibility, which has the added benefit of being at least four times better (according to people named Doc, who are me, who do not like P&P)
Ray Bradbury -- Fahrenheit 451. I actually prefer Something Wicked from your list, but F451 is much more influential. If you’ve read Farenheit, read 1984 by George Orwell. IF you’ve read that, read Brave New World by Huxley. If you’re read that, scrap totally, your list is very sci-fi weighted anyhow.
Oscar Wilde -- The Picture of Dorian Gray. Replaced A Woman of No Importance, which most people haven’t even heard of, with Picture, a deeply and widely referenced novel. If you’ve read picture, read “The Importance of Being Earnest” or better, watch a proshot of a play.
Gregory McGuire--- Wicked. I dunno that I think this deserves a spot on your list, but I get that everyone’s talking about it right now. And I like the book! But it’s just not very genre influential, it’s more deeply influenced BY the genre. I left it, because I get wanting to engage with everyone talking about it, but those are my reservations.
WE ARE OFF YOUR LIST TOTALLY NOW. So I took a bunch of repeats off your list. I admire wanting to track influential books, and broaden your understanding of media generally, but I think you were sorta getting into the weeds. So I added a few others that have huge media impact.
Charles Dickens -- David Copperfield    Boy did this suck for me to try and pick. I fucking love Charles Dickens. He was a dick in a lot of ways, revolutionary in others, and the man could write his ass off. He knew how to write a serial style that also keeps track of itself, and there is stuff that blows my mind as a modern reader even now. (If I hadn’t unintentionally made last years book clubs essentially Brit Lit 2: Brit harder i would be doing a Dickens novel for book club. I do have an idea of theming this year as “The American Answer” so like, we did Brideshead last year and the, well, an, American answer to that book is the Secret History. Here On Earth for Wuthering Heights. I don’t know. Actually, there’s an AMerican restyling of David Copperfield in my to-reads for this year) BUT ANYWAY, I ended up picking David Copperfield. It was Dickens’ own favorite, it’s one of his only first person novels, and it is the clearest example of Dickens’ tendency to impress himself upon a character. It has its flaws, of course, but I think centering yourself on David, a nostalgic, emotional writer trying to make his way in the world up from poverty, gives you a great understanding of both Dickens’ incredible influence and his own understanding of HIMSELF. Wow that was a lot of words. I have feelings about Charles Dickens. Sorry.
Toni Morrison -- Beloved I didn’t like this book, when I read it. But it is good, it won the fucking Pulitzer Prize. I think Song of Solomon is better for me though. Anyway, you have to read Toni Morrison. The way she weaves in the Black American experience with undertones of magical realism impacts the way stories of what I’m going to call “difficult narratives” are allowed to be told today, influencing even people outside of the Black community.
Salman Rushdie -- The Satanic Verses A masterwork of parallel storytelling, people keep trying to kill Rushdie over this book, a fantastic story about the immigrant experience in Great Britian.
And some genre stuff for flavor:
Spy Novels:
Ian Fleming -- Casino Royale  You know who james fucking Bond is. He was a book character first!
John LeCarre -- The Spy who Came in From the Cold Okay, I am gonna level with you that this and fleming are two opposite poles, but I think they are two opposite poles that give you a really good look at what the spy novel can be and has been. I really enjoy John LeCarre despite not being huge into the genre
Horror:
Shirley Jackson -- The Haunting of Hill House  This is the novel that launched Stephen King of all people, among others. Jackson is a fucking genius.
Stephen King -- The Shining Horror is hard, because I read and love a lot of it. But The Shining had a huge influence on both horror and the American consciousness broadly.
Fantasy:
TH White-- The Once and Future King. Were you at the book club for this? I cannot fucking remember to save my own life. Anyway, if you weren’t, this and LoTR changed fantasy forever. Same time period, even. How we understand fantwasy broadly today comes out of how Tolkien and White were thinking of it. If you read this, read The Lion, The Witch, and the Wardrobe by CS Lewis.
Grr Martin-- A Game of Thrones Oh, I’m gonna get letters. But genuinely this book changed the game in fantasy, and had a huge cultural impact on America and many other Western countries.

Octavia & Older Goetia Reader trying to help her after S2E4(platonic, of course) like sneaking her in to see her father without the press trying to get in her face and stuff? Please and thank you!
Can do! Love how we get to see more of hell in this episode.
Octavia & older Goetia Reader
Tumblr media
★ You where the one who picked her up from the palace when the news that he was hurt reached the family. She was distraught and going into a panic attack because of the circumstances.
★ Assuming that you aren't her sibling but rather a cousin or distant relative. Think aunt/uncle twice removed. You don't have quite the power that stolas has. However you still have a bit of influence over the people of hell.
★ It takes a bit of bribery and some threats of violence but you manage to get inside without the media shoving a camera into your face. When you get to the floor he is on you stay behind while Octavia rushes into the room her father is in.
★ You give them some time alone, Octavia needs to see her dad and you can wait. She's in there for about a half hour before walking out and telling you that Stolas wants to talk to you.
★ He thanks you for bringing her and asks that you watch over her untill he recovers. Understandable considering that the other option is responsible for why he's hurt.

The crumpled draft of a letter, found near Rook's desk:
Mama Mother,
I write to reassure you that I am safe in good health. I continue to travel with Viscount Tethras and his companions. We have met so many amazing people, who In the Viscount's company I have seen so much of the world, and It has been an enlightening and educational experience.
I hope your hip isn't bothering you too Did Cousin Octavia's baby come safely? I trust everyone is keeping well.
These are troubled times. Please take every reasonable measure to protect yourself and the household, and supply yourselves against disruptions in provisioning. Don't let anyone go out without guards I caution you to please refrain from unnecessary excursions, and do not go out alone.
I include with this letter a quantity of Antivan coffee beans, from a roastery recommended to me by a friend gentleman of recent acquaintance. You will find that they are fresher than any Antivan coffee you can obtain in Tevinter. I include also a drakeskin belt, which I hope you will forward to Father Legatus Mercar, that he may wear it in health and victory.
Correspondence may be sent to me care of Aetius Albanus, at the Silver Kettle in Minrathous. He will see that it reaches us.
Love
Yours
With best regards,
Arden Mercar

Holy shit the amount of hb fans saying brandon calling via a slut and an obstacle to the main toxic uwu couple as a harmless joke rubs to the wrong way. If this means to be a joke then it has to be the worst one I've ever heard. Seeing my cousins growing up in a dysfunction family which their parents divorced just makes me can't take this as any form of humour. They need to seperate brandon's skit from this show. The show wants to take via's problem seriously so to suddenly make this joke in favor for shippers is awful.
Speaking as someone who has divorced parents, seeing a teenage girl suffering from divorce and neglect from her father be called a "slut" and "cockblocking" because she DARED get mad at her POS father is kind of insulting. I don't CARE if It's a "joke", it's not funny.
Octavia has every right to be angry at Stolas for neglecting her in favor of his fuck-buddy, she's not "cockblocking". Stolas directly hurt Octavia yet SHE'S the one people are getting angry at??? WTF???
Again, as someone who suffered through divorce, this isn't funny, it's insulting and simply shows how the writers (and the fans) demonize all three of the people most hurt by Stolas' actions. Stella? She was just an abusive bitch to begin with. Blitz? Pffft, he only hates Stolas for being a prince. OCTAVIA? She should "cut her dad some slack" cuz he's "trying his best" and is just a cockblocking slut.
It's genuinely gross and in Octavia's case downright disgusting. These people refuse to actually look at things from these characters' perspectives and instead treat them as the spawn of literal satan cuz god forbid Stolas be held accountable for ANYTHING in this show and god forbid that ANYONE calls him out for his shit. For Stella, it's at least justified since she...isn't a good person. The other two though?
Ya, no. Blitz deserves a better boyfriend and Octavia deserves a better father. And I'm SICK of people pretending otherwise.

Why nothing makes sense part 7.
Wedding edition
Before I start my little post about why nothing makes sense about this whole wedding and marriage thing, I'd like to declare that I'm not saying or stating that they haven't gotten married or that there wasn't a wedding; this is simply about why nothing makes sense about it.
Tumblr media
So the whole wedding debate started when we saw Dennis (Chris's friend) go public and share in his story that Jamie, Bryan, and Mark were together in a bar. This made people immediately jump to the conclusion that they were there because Chris and Alba would get married. Then people posted that Hemsworth, RDJ, and Renner were at a restaurant. According to someone who said they were part of the group who met Hemsworth and Renner, Hemsworth told them that they were in Boston because of Evans's wedding. This was immediately really weird to me, since I doubt Hemsworth would've told random strangers that they were getting married. Chris and Alba didn't talk about getting married publicly, so it was a secret. The public didn't know about the wedding date, if they were engaged, or if they were going to get married. I'm pretty sure Hemsworth knew about this and wouldn't spill any tea, especially to complete strangers. Then things were silent until Dennis went public again and posted a picture of himself and his wife dressed up elegantly. This, again, fueled the fire.
After all of these, we got the Page Six article about them reportedly being married. Obviously, after that, almost every outlet ran with this news and posted their own article, everybody quoting Page Six, even People. Page Six wrote that those who attended the wedding had to sign an NDA and couldn't have their phones with them. This whole NDA thing sounds so interesting to me. We talked about Hemsworth spilling that they are getting married, and I said that I don't think he would do that to a friend, but the fact that he even signed an NDA makes the whole thing even less sensible. I also found the phone thing very interesting. Does that mean he doesn't trust his friends? If they knew they were going to sell the story and share breadcrumbs of it, and even of the second wedding, why couldn't the guests have their phones? So they can control what, when, and how it gets out? So we know that according to the source, they had a private wedding and only invited their close family and friends, yet there were several people missing. I missed Scarlett, Octavia, Mackie, Seb, and from her side, her cousin, who was on vacation with her entire family. Every article mentioned the Avengers, his Marvel co-star being there, but what about those close family members? Why wasn't there any mention of them? According to the article, Emily and John were also there, but I don't think they were actually there. They only mentioned her because they have a movie together.
After people found Scarlett's non-presence weird, they posted an article saying they saw Scarlett and Robert together in Boston. It's really interesting that this article was published after people questioned her whereabouts, and it's also really interesting that there were no sightings of her. So people saw the other Avengers out together in a restaurant and took pictures of them, and even if just one person saw Scar and Robert out, I doubt they wouldn't have taken a picture of those two.
Talking about sightings. Why did nobody see or hear the wedding? I'm not even talking about pictures, but like a DM anon, a blind item, or somebody tweeting something about it. People see him walking Dodger and doing everyday stuff, but nobody sees anything unusual; nobody spots the avenger there? No matter which house or location we are talking about, it's weird that nobody saw, heard, or witnessed anything.
We also have some problems with the location. So Page Six said the ceremony took place in Massachusetts, at their Boston-area home, while People said the wedding was in Cape Cod. While both places are in Massachusetts, they aren't really close to each other. People also said that Hemsworth, Downey, and their wives were photographed having dinner, which we all know is not true because it was his mom. Was Elsa at the wedding? Probably not, and why was his mom there when she doesn't even know Evans or anybody else there? Who knows. Then we got another article from People saying that they were serious very quickly; this was another source exclusive. In this article, the place of the wedding was still Cape Cod. Then there was another People article that said that they had a party in his Boston-area home to celebrate their marriage. According to another exclusive source "a large tent and dance floor were set up at the house", we know this must have been someone who was there because, as I've already mentioned, nobody sent an anon to DM, came to Tumblr, tweeted, or wrote a blind item that they saw, heard, or witnessed anything wedding-related. This article was published on the 12th, which is basically three days after the wedding. People said that the wedding weekend also included a gathering in Cape Cod, which is such an interesting wording since I don't think anybody would call a wedding a "gathering". A wedding is a wedding to me. Here they again said that Elsa was also there, which is still interesting since in the restaurant that was most definitely Hemsworth's mom, not wife. So why wasn't Elsa there? Where was she? And what was Hemsworth's mom doing there in the first place? On the same day, Page Six posted another article where they referred to the People article about the Boston party. Page Six said that the main wedding celebration was in Boston, yet they had another gathering in Cape Cod. So it seems like they still couldn't decide where the wedding was.
I doubt they would've had two gatherings or that they would've held the wedding and the party at a different spot. The Cape Cod private estate would've been perfect, maybe even a better choice for the party, but they definitely could've just gotten married and had a party at his Boston-area home. I didn't really understand why they would've wanted to hold the ceremony and the party in different places, especially since both Concord and Carlisle are almost like a 2-hour car ride from Cape Cod.
The last article we've gotten so far about them was the Portugal wedding one by Page Six. According to another source, there will be a second wedding in Portugal for her family, which is weird since most of them, those who are really important to her, definitely could've attended the MA one. The source called this one also a "gathering" and didn't even know when it would actually be, just that it was going to be "sometimes this week".
The only constant thing in these articles was "Reps for both actors did not immediately respond to XY's request for comment."
The last article was posted on September 12th, and after that, there was no article, but his friends started posting from Portugal. Other than Dennis, I wouldn't say anybody too interesting posted. It's really weird that the Page Six/People articles stopped before his friends started sharing breadcrumbs that they were all there in PT. So we've seen at least one story shared by at least one of them since that day. I know what some people say: "Maybe they just wanted to share some pictures about the places they had been", which I'd understand if this wasn't supposed to be a private wedding and if they weren't a private couple. I'd assume that Chris had asked them to keep it low, at least until they aren't back in the States, but as of right now, it seems like Chris has asked them exactly the opposite.
My other question about this whole PT thing is why they haven't been spotted by someone. So you want to tell me that Chris is in PT, even after he married someone, and that someone happens to be quite well known in PT, and still nothing? Are they hiding in their hotel room? Are they never going out? Or nobody saw, heard, or witnessed anything wedding-related? Why is nobody seeing or hearing anything?
Something else that is really interesting to me is that only his friends are part of this breadcrumbing. Not the closest ones, or those who've already been part of this like Tara or Chelsea, but those are known enough so people will check their pages and stories, especially since Bryan (the wedding planner, followed by Scott) posted that story of him having drinks with a woman and a man, which started the whole PT wedding fire. It seems like only his friends are "allowed" or rather asked to post something about their whereabouts, so people will keep talking about their PT wedding. I guess Chris only trusts his friends to spread the narrative.
So according to Page Six, the wedding happened on September 9th. To me, this date is also weird. So the article about Pain Hustlers premiering in Toronto came out on July 24.
Tumblr media
According to the official site, the premiere would've been on the 11th, so only like 2 days after the wedding and a few days prior to the Portugal one.
Tumblr media
However, on the site, there are several events on September 12 and on September 15, so on the Portugal wedding week.
Tumblr media
While we only got to know this on July 24, I'm 100% sure Chris and Emily knew way before that they would need to go to TIFF and be there, maybe even before they started organizing a wedding, which is not a few months thing, so they most definitely needed to start doing it much before even the strike started on July 14th.
Tumblr media
So on July 14th, Chris and Emily were informed that they probably wouldn't be able to attend TIFF or do any type of press for the movie. The movie comes out on October 27th, and after TIFF, they probably would've needed to do several interviews, and just like with TGM, maybe they also would've needed to attend several red carpet events in the States and in Europe. What I want to say is that I find it very unlikely that this was the original date of their wedding. Maybe they were supposed to get married prior to PH or after (I think I'd rather say after), but why did they change the date? Why? Why were they in such a rush? They had not even 2 months from July 14 to September 9, and by July they probably sent out the invitations, booked a caterer, chellist, violinist, or whatever to the original date, and ordered a cake to that original date. So they called up every person they invited, every person who was involved in the wedding, to let them know they changed the date and the wedding would be earlier? And in this case, we don't even just talk about one wedding, but two. I get that he is a huge star, but I doubt that people would've been really happy about him just casually changing the wedding date since this most definitely wasn't the original one and since he wouldn't and probably couldn't have been able to miss TIFF and his other responsibilities tied to Pain Hustlers.
Page Six also said they are off to their honeymoon after the Portugal wedding, but if this was the original, he couldn't have gone on a honeymoon since he would have had a movie to promote. We don't know where they are going for a honeymoon, but even if they are going with a private plane, they need to stay somewhere, which, again, they probably booked prior to everything, so they would've had a ton of problems with that one too.
It's really interesting that they said they had a private wedding, people needed to sign NDAs, and they couldn't have their phones, yet there were several articles about them almost every single day. I don't think these were actual people who were at the wedding or who knew them; it was most likely his team. It made me really think about why two people who are so in love and happier than ever and just got married need this much traffic and attention, especially when they know that people don't really like them together. I'd assume they would want to keep their marriage to themselves; they don't want people to talk about it and gossip about it because it's something personal and intimate for them. That their friends would help them keep it secret and wouldn't post breadcrumbs that something might be happening. Chris had always been a quiet guy, especially when it came to his romantic relationships. I remember that almost everybody agreed that if he gets married, we probably won't even know that he's been dating someone until after the wedding. Or that he won't even announce anything, that there won't be articles and breadcrumbs, just him appearing with his wife somewhere or mentioning it in an interview. And now here we are, his friends sharing breadcrumbs, several articles out every single day. I'd assume that, just like in the past, he would want to protect his and his partner's privacy, that he would want to keep their personal moments for themselves, especially in this situation when he knows, and both of them know, that a lot of people don't like them being together, and they get a lot of hate, that a lot of people think they look weird, unnatural, and totally not in love. It seems like they are trying to sell the wedding, that they are trying to sell "we are so happy together", but are they trying to convince us or themselves that they are happy together? Because if you need to prove something this much-if you need to prove this hard that you're so happy-then you probably are not.
