Make some noise for Fossil Friday! Corythosaurus was a duck-billed dinosaur that lived in what is now North America. Its name is a nod to the helmets worn by Corinthians in ancient Greece: This species’ strange skull is capped by a crescent-shaped helmet that contains extended tubes, which form elaborate nasal passages. See it up close in the Museum’s Hall of Ornithischian Dinosaurs. Plan your visit.

Start to middle of Jurassos! Quite a few new friends have joined the party! Caprisun the Scelidosaurus was the first to join with Rutabaga the Kentrosaurus and Passionfruit the Steggosaurus not far behind. Choco Strawb was a surprise as I was not expecting to find a Sarco in the forest until I looked it up and found they appear there in Jurassos. I got Creamsicle the Oviraptor since Sarcos are pack critters. Last but not least we have Apple the Ouranosaurus and Pudding the Deinochierus! Shenanigan is coming up soon as well as progress on opening up the archway to the desert. (Spoiler alert: I got too many raptors)

Corythosaurus concepts. Based around an Okapi, these hadrosaurs are mostly raised domestically to eventually be ridden by ranchers(although they can only run about 30 mph, they help discourage stragglers due to their size and fend off smaller predators like coyotes, wolves, and Dryptosaurs) or to be used for food(Sauro Steaks). A few wild herds exist near Kansas and Nebraska, but the vast majority are ‘domestic’ and raised on farmland alongside livestock. These are considered prized livestock and are often targeted by cattle thieves. Occasionally the males are entered into local fairs to win prizes(judged by the rich colors in their crest and the sharpness of the markings on their legs).

Do you think maiasaura were bullied by the other hadrosaurids over their lack of crest?

Triassea picnic and first few days in Dapplewood! Two Utahraptors came up to my massive crunchy pile. Ramune the orange and magenta one, and Pepper the melanistic one! During the next few days I also ventured into Dapplewood where I stumbled upon Onion the Microraptor, Scallion the Troodon, and Gummy the Archaeopteryx. Those three get into so much stuff on my farm now as they have a tendency to wander.
