Ya'll how Grian, Scott, Pearl and Martyn won the life series and they're strong and what not?!

IT'S THE SAME FOR GEMS BABY!

Since Grian, Scott and Pearl are high ranking gems and Martyn is the right-hand man of a working gem, they get cool perks/gem abilities that go with them.

Like Scott can see into the future and create ice/had ice power (this is actually cannon for sapphire) BUT he can also freeze water to create a form of fortified ice, that allows him to be protect from any "deserters" attack whiles he's doing his job (I'd also explain why Jimmy/lapis can be anywhere near him, Jimmy gets the water and Scott uses it, AND yes Scott's ice ability is strong then gems water manipulation ability cause Scott's a higher rank).

BUT ANYWAYS- imagine that for all the others, like Grian can manipulate his water-wings-things, so he had a close range weapon thier only limit being he can't increase the amout of water his wings hold so he limited to that amout, Pearl is able it create holograms of herself (like cannon pearl) but they only last for 1-2 minutes depend on the amout they can interact with her and physically object but not people (so if she's looking to stab someone she need to give them a weapon and make it quick), and Martyn can create small burst of flames that can not be put out (kinda like cannon ruby) he normal would coat his dagger in it for that extra fire damage (it can't be put because he won in Limited Life and he was living in the sea sooooooooooo-)

That spot on Vex's back where delilah hit her with that finger of death should be the crux, entry-point whatever of the necrotic energy that hit her when Percy tripped purvan's trap and should I think be a little half healed, perpetually volatile spot that is an instant critical if smacked, I.e. sure she survives her harrowing brush with death thanks to Vax but now when Her influence is particularly strong on him he looks at his sister and among all the golden threads tangled around her heart, connecting her to him and everyone and to his immense consternation, fucking Percy, is a little black ball of...partial necrosis, rooted firmly in shadowfell somehow, a visible mark of recognition that She can be persuaded to wait but will claim Her due in the end, at the small of Vex's back way too close to her spine for his comfort.

And it doesn't do shit, doesn't get bigger, doesn't fade though, leaves her spine alone thank the gods, but every so often she'll take a blow to the back that lays her clean out. One good, but well placed tap and she's on her knees gasping for air like the aftermath of every tree she's ever fallen out of that he's caught her red-handed for, but worse of course, I mean the cold sweat and the fucking rictus of pain on her face, the coltish legs and the scary handful of seconds where she's already been fucking hit at and can do little else but lay there propped sorta up on her elbows writhing while Vax is halfway across the bastard fighting ground -too far to help or lay hands on her or anything- and oh there's Percival white knighting his way to her, fucking good, the least he can do really, pulling her out of the way and letting her get her bearings slowly.

The harder the smack the most outsized the reaction, a necromancer's cursed flail caught her in a swipe once and she collapsed for two fucking hours afterwards, and after she could hardly stand........shit like that yknow I could expound further but I am tired but I am always down to beat Vex up a little more, she has the second worst hp score, the worst con, and worst strength of Vox Machina, she is SO cool but SO beat-up-able

i was wondering if you ever have to attend to maintenance on the outside of your comet, and if so if there are any protocols for those sort of repairs! are there codes of conduct to maintain your own safety while doing it, or to ensure bits-and-bobs aren't lost in space; or are those simply not issues for you?
