did he or did he not lose fans then?
I will answer this because this anon actually brings a concrete question to the table rather than just "hurhur but you're a larrie??" (tell me you can't actually refute any of our points…). Anyway this post shows the decrease in Louis instagram followers between the screenshots taken directly after the release of Faith in the Future in Nov '22, when he changed his bio to promote that album and the tour tickets, and now, when he changed it again to mention the current release. But I'm putting that response under a cut because I'm tired of the actual POINT of all this nonsense getting lost in a sea of made up things people insist are important:
There is no rational argument you can make to say that Louis has less fans now than he did 2, 4, or 6 years ago. You don't need a spreadsheet of details you need to USE YOUR EYES! He has gone from filling theaters to filling arenas and stadiums. His second album made a higher chart position than his first album. His festival has doubled in size EVERY year of its existence. And for that matter: his insta post engagement numbers remain about the same (despite the fact that older posts should have way MORE likes due to having been there longer, even aside from follower counts.) SO WHO FUCKING CARES ABOUT HIS INSTA FOLLOWER NUMBER???? Serious question: what does the word "fans" mean if these things aren't what matters? ALL of this quibbling about what he should do to make things better and people can't even see that THINGS AREN'T BAD.
Anyway to address the specific question- (con't......)
NO- HE DID NOT LOSE FANS. HE LOST SOME INSTA FOLLOWERS. THESE ARE NOT THE SAME THING. As I said above, literally what does it mean to lose fans if that number change coincides with him having higher sales, more audience members, and higher engagement than ever before? Whatever he lost ISN'T FANS. I wouldn't be surprised if a significant factor was something like a bot purge, but also yes: I'm sure a lot of casuals followed him around the time of his big album release and later unfollowed him. That's extremely normal because that's how casual engagement works, and why the definition of fan really matters. Louis and his team understand this and have referenced it repeatedly, talking about how lucky he is to have *us* specifically, to have the kind of dedicated fanbase he has, to have the KIND of fans he does who will allow him to do what HE wants. @dogsliampaynedoesntinstagram named the issue of depth vs breadth with regard to fans a long time ago, and pointed out why having DEPTH is so much more important. It's like this- artists who are on top 40 radio have more numbers on things like insta follows, and for a time on sales and tickets. But those aren't FANS- they're people with a casual interest. And as soon as that person isn't being forced in their ears 10x a day, those people lose interest and stop supporting them, stop buying stuff and unfollow, and those artists end up doing the 'opener on the jingle ball' circuit rather than their own tours. One Direction as a whole, and Louis maybe most of all or near to at this point, have something MUCH MORE VALUABLE than that- DEPTH FANS. Louis has fans who will support him even if he takes years to release music, or stops parading around with a pretend girlfriend to stay in the headlines at least once a month, or completely changes his image and genre, and that is UNHEARD OF. It's ASTONISHING and worth SO MUCH MORE. And they get that! THAT is why he always bragging about us, why industry people he works with are always so agog about us, why he will do anything for US- not for randos. He is also growing his breadth- and it's OBVIOUSLY WORKING whatever his follower counts are, but that is always going to be secondary to doing things for THE FANDOM because that is his sustainable business model. That is what keeps him onstage and reaching number one. And not coincidentally, the things they do are also working to grow that- much more valuable- commodity. So the fact that that's exactly what these chuckleheads complain about- that he does things that are just fandom facing or serving rather than everything being aimed at recruiting casual fans- does nothing but betray how completely they, unlike Louis and his team, misunderstand the actual drivers of his (actual, existing, happening) success. Luckily for Louis, he and his team rely on their own data harvesting (they do a LOT of it) and growth metrics (they're off the charts) rather than the smug assumptions of random (mostly quite new to this) fans and the few bitter people leading the complaining about everything Louis does.
#louis promo#all this nonsense about this tag or that tag or this or that number is so getting lost in the trees#when the forest is RIGHT HERE: WHAT THEY ARE DOING IS WORKING#so for now#I'm pretty done with this discussion unless someone actually engages meaningfully with the content of anything I'm saying#rather than just repeating the same things- but he needs to tag more! or the even more boring-#but you're a larry! if you send me a bitchy response that doesnt actually address any points I've made#I will assume it is because I'm right and you have no rebuttal other than to act like a preschooler because deep down you know it#honestly the discourse around this makes me feel a little sad and scared about the state of literacy and reading comprehension#and just general analytical thinking#but I hope its just that no one over 15 spends their time sending hate anons about fandom#if I'm wrong please come engage in actual conversation! but otherwise... let's just... not#blah blah blah#anyway there's a reason Louis is always so afraid no one will be there for him and that he started out solo era playing those radio fests..#because we are IMPROBABLE we are UNBELIEVABLE we are NOT SOMETHING YOU CAN EXPECT OR COUNT ON#and making nurturing and maintaining that his number one priority ALWAYS is extremely correct and smart#actually#I was originally going to be like here are when there were bot purges here are other artists that have seen numbers go down etc#but then I was like WAIT WHO CARES. You're letting these people dictate the conversation... but the premise is stupid#it DOESNT MATTER#depth v breadth

Personally I'm really happy with the decision to introduce original human villains to the SCU.
I understand a lot of people don't like it when they deviate from game stuff, but the series is already infamous for having almost no reocurring villains besides Eggman. And this is more than just an adaptation, it's a proper pillar of the Sonic franchise that can tell it's own stories and introduce its own characters.
#this is by no means a majority#but many hardcore fans don't consume much media outside of Sonic#so they don't engage with the SCU content in its own terms#everything that doesn't revolve around the game elements are treated like filler or padding#when in reality this is just part of the story being told#and if you purposefuly ignore vital parts of the story then you lose a lot of the experience#it becomes less of a film/show and more of a collection of easter eggs#knuckles show#sonic movie#wow got analytical for a sec Im glad no one reads the tags

-❤️Diane was decently smart or significantly above and was studying a master's and had a passion for intelligence in non-humans
-❤️While she was alive, apparently it was expected for Rick not to be especially interested in her studies for whatever reason since she seems surprised that he read it. Might relate back to theme that they have every now and then that the relationship wasn't perfect: especially since Diane told him that she was too good for him; but it seems like they were still very in love.
-❤️After she died he probably read over and studied and clung onto every single minuscule little thing that she had ever studied, accomplished, thought of or did.
-❤️It's actually kind of cute, the idea of Diane studying something like intelligence-which feels like it would be compatible with Rick, since he's always so obsessed with being smart, and considering that the majority of his interests and fixations tends to be a non-human things anyway, it would make sense why this would be a cute a dynamic for two people being married.
-❤️Some of the things that Diane studied or was inspired by inspired Rick to make a lot of his own inventions and fascinations.
This show only gives crumbs so I'm going to tear them apart to absolute pieces with the very few times I get the chance, you only get 10 times a year anyway.
#they make fun of fans like me on reddit for having no life being this analytical#i dont latch onto characters very often so when i do and theres new content i dig in#its 10 times a year for 25 minutes guys its not that big of a deal#rick and morty#rick sanchez

i can litcherally connect every issue people complain about within fandom in recent years to late stage capitalism
#i fr need to finish my essay on capitalism within fandom#i’m telling you. every single complaint. from lack of interaction to only short fics/blurbs being far more popular#to people being soooo scared to create dark content or create dark content that actually explores the horrible repercussions and trauma#that comes w said dark content#like all of it#give me a complaint/issue and i can pull the mask off of it and it will still be capitalism#i just think ppl misdiagnose the reason for these things a lot!!! and don’t realize when capitalism creeps into their own thought process!#not condemning just saying this is why it’s important to be diligent with yourself#and analytical with your own thought processes and who you’re pointing fingers at#or why#it doesn’t fix anything either#just furthers to individualize you in a place that requires community#pointing your fingers at bigger ‘clique’ blogs or even readers who don’t interact…..isn’t going to get you far#bc the issue is still capitalism#and until we can all acknowledge that……….🤷♀️🤷♀️🤷♀️#cielo rambles!

First Post!
Or at least, this is my first post on Tumblr since high school lol. I used to use Tumblr often a long time ago, but I left. Now I start fresh with a new account!
My name is AlgorithmQuartz. I'm 22, an INFJ, and a Capricorn Sun/Leo Moon/Libra Rising. I'm into gaming, singing, coding, witchcraft, tarot/oracle, astrology, and exploring esoteric ideas. I'm currently in school for computer science with a minor in data analytics. I'm also a practicing witch.
If any of that sounds interesting, feel free to give me a follow! I may also follow back. I've recently started making YouTube content as well, and I'm shortly going to post the couple videos I have so I can put them on the featured section of my blog. I thought this one would be just another developer of mobile game that use The Sims 4 contents in its (fake) ads to fraud users by making people belive it is its game, when it has a completely different gameplay.
Unfortunately, Room Makover by FlyBird Casual Games is much more than this.
Room Makover has plenty of false ads. This time I actually tried the game, because the pictures and videos on Google Play were cute and I decided to give it a try.
I was so naive. Happens that the whole page on Google Play is full of fake contents.
It's just one of those mobile games in which you have to match and remove nails. Every time you pass a level, you will rewarded with bills that you can use to unlock part of a building under "makeover". You have just three option for every part of the building or the room to choose between.
There is nothing creative. Not actual building or cluttering rooms or decoring.
As, always, since I'm a curious little bitch, I decided to dig further into this FlyBird Casual Game and... Oh. God. Their site looks even less legit than LUCKY FORTUNE GAMES' one!
It is just a void page. There is nothing here. NOTHING. The only two working section are the privacy and conditions of use, in which they try to convince you that they didn't have any liability for damages or fraud committed.
The privacy one is curious, because mentions this Commissioner's Office in UK and a long list of partners. Both for ads and for data collection, which is hugely uncommon for this kind of games.
Sooooo... In this magical list of apps, I noticed a few tech nightmares, which I will explain briefly here:
Aarki is an AI company that builds advertising solutions to drive mobile revenue growth. Traslated from bullshit: they use AI to generate fake ads and sells it to shady corps.
Blind Ferret is the big deal here! Not only gave you digital marketing solutions, data collection and analytics, but also pays influencers and product placement on social media to promote the game and, hear me out, CREATE fake ads too! It's literally written in their site: "Our Creative Services don’t just make things look pretty. Our team uses data to guide us! How do we make brands shine? By turning the arts into a numbers game with top-performing creative content." This include: Graphic Design, Illustration, 2D Animation, Video Editing and Composition, Copywriting and conceptualizing.
InMobi is a big Corp that does native advertising, which means promoted contents, collabs with influencers, etc.
Ironsource. This one is a fucking cancer. IronSource Ltd. is an Israeli software company that focuses on developing technologies for app monetization and distribution, with its core production focused on the app economy. That would sound harmless, but Samsung use it in its budget and midrange smartphone to install multiple third-party apps during the set-up process. This platform slips bloatware on the pretext of recommended apps, leading to apps clutter and reduction in on-board storage space. The only purpose it exists on Samsung phones is to download games without your consent with no way to remove it (no app installed).
Mintegral is another fucking tech nightmare. Not only poses serious threats to your privacy and datas, but also uses malicious codes to spy your activity and when you seem intentioned to install a mobile app, Mintegral’s software would then fire off fake clicks on non-existent ads to claim credit for the install and essentially collect a bounty from app publishers who pay ad networks to promote their apps.
Mistplay is one of those "play to earn bucks" that I find very very dangerous. Because YOUR data are their revenue.
Tapjoy does monetization of ads and also surveys, that force users to download one from a long list of games, download it and playing for hours or since it is gained some in-game prize. This surveys are rewarded with credits and user can spend on the mobile game they actually want to play. Tapjoy has a huge market among IMVU users, who need credits to buy piece of clothing and accessories for their avi.
The other apps do mobile app marketing, using data collection that allow shady corps to target more gullable and naive people to scam. Plus they do also monetization surveys to earn money and at the same time forcefully grow the engagement of this shady corps.
Obviously, there is no user support mail listed in their Google Play page, but at least this has a contact mail listed on their website: [email protected]
As always, stay safe and please tell me if you know more about everything above or know the person who create this build first.
Help people to stay safe.
Thank you.
<<< previous Coloring app uses design of The Sims 4 builds without the consent of the creators and other mobile developers steal TS4 speed build contents and claim it's the actual gameplay of their mobile game.
