Quite an intriguing development, no? 👀 Alas, it's not a spectacular tale in the society of COC. Let's delve into some worldbuilding ramble under the cut!

1. How does MC go from a servant to a royal consort?

To begin with, our MC wasn't just a mere servant; they were a High Servant—or still, the demo isn't out yet lol. This position can only be granted to a child of nobility (or in very rare cases, to a child of a very wealthy merchant through... clandestine means).

High servant exclusively serves the royal family members, functioning somewhat like a personal assistant and trusted confidant. They command their master's retinue of servants, and are pampered by their own attendants too! If we were to draw an equivalent position in our world, they're kind of like a lady-in-waiting or a gentleman's gentleman? But with much more power.

But how did they become the Royal Consort? You'll find out soon 😉

2. Facts about the former Royal Family and their relationship with MC?

The former Royal Family hails from a very prestigious and ancient noble bloodline that has reigned over the court for two thousand years. The former Royal House values honor above all else—according to the official history books and royal chronicles, at least. The former Royal Family formally consisted of the (Old) King, Queen Consort, Princess, Crown Prince, (Boy) King, and our beloved mistress: the Concubine.

As the player, you can define how your MC perceives their relationships to some extent. But no matter what, MC will always have a soft spot—or a very soft spot—for the Mistress, and a deep respect for the Queen Consort.

With 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐢𝐞𝐧'𝐬 help they've begun binding their chest 🏳️‍⚧️

𝐆𝐰𝐞𝐧 is mute & communicates via sign language or written word 🙊 (for times when she's around those who don't know sign, without a translator present)

They often wear an blank “emotionless” mask, preferring to keep their own feelings fully hidden inside (internally they're ≈ 𝟼𝟻% anxiety, 𝟸𝟻% self-hatred, & 𝟷𝟶% debilitating empathy 😵‍💫)

Besides her facial ones; 𝐆𝐰𝐞𝐧 has a lot of scars all over her body (she conceals them with clothing & HATES even glimpsing them while nude), she's extremely ashamed of them since they were all received during battle (except the scar through her eye... that was received during the 𝟷ˢᵗ, & ONLY TIME, 𝐎𝐬𝐚𝐢 was allowed to “train” her 🤕)

They continue to take cold baths & sleep on the floor, always with their back touching a wall & facing the room's point of entry (despite having other “healthier” options... they feel that comfort isn't something they can afford to get used to OR even really deserve in the end 🥲)

Because of her touch-aversion (which developed throughout her early childhood “training”), primarily with skin-to-skin contact, 𝐆𝐰𝐞𝐧 wears 𝘨𝘭𝘰𝘷𝘦𝘴 (despite her condition she's also extremely touch-starved & currently only finds physical touch with her brother, 𝐒𝐚𝐫𝐚𝐚𝐡, comfortable 🫂)

Despite their best efforts, they have a nervous habit of chewing their fingers (wearing gloves mostly helps alleviate this issue + they're unable to physically injure themself if they DO end up biting them 🧤)

𝐆𝐰𝐞𝐧'𝐬 tattoos help her cope with the dysphoria + dysmorphia she experiences by covering her battle scars (she can focus on the beautiful Celtic art instead of her body ☺️)

They've kept all the trinkets gifted to them by most of their older siblings 🎁 (& keeps most of them on hand whenever possible); it helps lessen the ache each of their departures left behind (except 𝐎𝐬𝐚𝐢... they felt no sadness the day she left 🖕😀)

𝐆𝐰𝐞𝐧 does NOT enjoy killing (it makes her sick to even think of those she's harmed... meeting 𝐁𝐞𝐝𝐢𝐯𝐞𝐫𝐞 & some of the other knights again is literally her worst nightmare made real) & would gladly avoid fighting entirely if possible (she does enjoy good-natured sparring though)... unless, of course, anyone she loves is endangered (especially 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐝) then she will NOT hesitate to incapacitate the aggressor 🗡️😠

Because of their inconspicuous presence (despite being quite tall), 𝐆𝐰𝐞𝐧 has a tendency to accidentally ambush people 🫥

While in real combat she enters into a dissociative state (namely: episodic depersonalization); once she comes back to herself she becomes violently ill 🤢 & often loses consciousness when her adrenaline finally runs out 😵

𝐆𝐰𝐞𝐧 used to be fairly average in height during her early youth, but had a HUGE growth spurt the year she turned 𝟷𝟾 (which resulted in chronic pain in her legs, back, & joints 😖)

Their wavy hair is very long (𝘬𝘯𝘦𝘦 𝘭𝘦𝘯𝘨𝘵𝘩) so they mostly keep it tied back/up in, often elaborately braided, hairstyles 🪮

𝐆𝐰𝐞𝐧'𝐬 always had a soft spot for children & very much looks forward to getting to know 𝐌𝐨𝐫𝐝𝐫𝐞𝐝 better (she made/gifted him a flower bracelet) 🥺🩷

They have 𝟶 experience when it comes to romance & sex 😳 (partially because of their severe touch-aversion); they've never felt comfortable/safe enough with anyone to even view them in that way (so they're understandably nervous when it comes to their future “spousal duties” 🫣)

𝐆𝐰𝐞𝐧 tries to limit the overuse of her battle magic; only accessing it during times of life-threatening crisis 💀 (or when her natural strength/endurance is not enough to complete an imperative task)

Any ideas on the Bad Boys reactions to MC dressing up for a date?

Horror isn't one for dressing up. He feels like putting nice clothes on him is like putting lipstick on a pig. But... he likes when you dress up. He really really likes it; he hovers near you, breathing heavily and intently staring at every detail. You're eye candy to him, and when you dress up you look even more sweet, colours and smells that make him the good kind of dizzy. He could stare for hours. He does stare for hours. He's fighting the urge to bite you - he's also fighting the urge to attack anyone who looks at you too long. This is HIS pretty little human, anyone who gawks is losing their eyes.

Dust is normally such a tough nut to crack reaction-wise. It's always hard to tell what he thinks of things. His reactions are entirely internal, as minute as minute can get; unless you're like Nightmare and can literally read his emotions, it's very hard to know what's going on in his head. That being said. When he sees that you dressed up for a date with him? He blushes very hard. He looks away, flustered, pulling his hood down over his face - for a moment there's a break in the seemingly endless clouds of his mood, and the sky is visible.

Although he acts like he's embarrassed, he really likes when you tease him about blushing. He doesn't always enjoy being so blank, so hard to read it drives away people he deeply cares for. It makes him feel better when you get little victories like that, moments where you 'broke' him; little reminders of how much he really loves you.

Killer, as mentioned in a previous ask, would delight in a partner who dresses up. He has a lot of fun putting together fashionable (slutty) outfits, and if you have something very nice for a date, he's absolutely going to coordinate with you. It's the perfect way to tell the world that you're together. Who needs bite marks? Give him a colour palette, some simple accessories, and half an hour. Everyone will see who you belong to.

Nightmare would love it. He might not say it aloud, but you'll see it in the way his eyelight rakes up and down your body and his voice gets significantly silkier. He sees you dressing up for a date as a high compliment; you thought about your date with him so much you decided to put in that extra effort. He doesn't get many gifts - all this is for him? You shouldn't have...

You'd expect him to want his partner to dress similarly to him. Though he does take great pleasure in you matching his refined tastes, he also just likes seeing you wear things that make you happy. Of course his beloved consort should wear whatever they please. You're his, and that makes you royalty. Royalty do what they like.
