Me when I am watching a video analyzing the character of Amy Rose and the misconceptions of her character and it randomly takes a potshot at Steven Universe based on a misconception:

if there's one thing i like about ships like connverse and sonamy, its the whole subtle gestures aspect. it starts out with one party having a crush on the other, they form a friendship, and slowly the other party starts reciprocating (or at least is implied to be reciprocating in sonamy's case). they don’t need a big confession scene. they don't need a big damn kiss. they don't need grand declarations of love. the small gestures like sonic giving amy a rose or connie telling steven she'll always be there for him is enough proof of their love. so connverse's little kiss in the last episode or amy telling sonic she'll always love him no matter what because she can't change him doesn't feel like it came out of nowhere. it feels like a natural result of their character development. honestly i'd say THIS is a good example of how you do the whole male lead x female lead pairing. you don’t NEED them to be all over each other all the time and you don't even need a big damn kiss scene. all you need is small, subtle gestures that show how much they care about each other.
