...even when - especially when - they're not present... 

I like to think I do - most of the time anyway... 

...but why not all of the time?

APPLICATION:

Speak respectfully about everyone...

PRAYER:

Kind and loving Father God - I am grateful for the mercy given - poured out on - me that I so do not deserve - I ask for Your forgiveness and the Holy Spirit's reminder and strength to speak in kindness and courtesy and encouragement to all I meet throughout today - not just those I know, but those You know and love... In Jesus's Name and by His example, that You would receive the glory and honor and praise...

finally decided to draw my versions of Lynne and "Celia" pre-protocol era. i already had a mental image of Lynne so i Refused to change it cuz i think it'd be fun if she was Very Different after her factory reset aksjhakdhj. i call her "is comp-femme a thing" and then ofc "celia" is. looking rough <3 and then she had her butch awakening in the protocol verse and that's my regular celia design YAY <3

steel wool has the hugest opportunity in the world for a sb 2 like. vanny cassie plotline of her having been manipulated by mimic to be its new minion by framing Gregory during the elevator scene to cut off her one support system. gregory vanessa and freddy protags fleshing them out with dialogue as characters but also their motivations and what theyve been doing for years. have their long absence in games period but also in universe from helping the glamrocks/setting up mxes be explained by showcasing their fear and trauma by them just wanting to get away and they thought they were safe but they werent. have cassie be the reason they have to jump back into the fray and realize no matter what they do theyll have to kill mimic for good to be truly free even if they're afraid. plot of the game is Gregory trying to convince cassie he didnt do it and that shes being tricked and it takes all campaign to get through to her, probably after an intense dramatic climax. have Roxy be there by Cassies side to show how Freddy abandoning them at the Plex affected her and the 2 sides of the same coin the 2 of them have going on regarding sentience and their relationship with the characters they were designed to be with Freddy who got to be free and roxy who didnt. the actual vanny comes back as a big betrayal towards mimic after killing glitchtrap in hw2, either to become an antihero or to try and take over as mastermind. superstar duo reunite and names cleared. throughout the campaign Gregory finds out about ggy and its revealed in a room with documents about patient 46 and tapes where a final tape is found and Gregory speaks in it or is addressed by name. he grapples with it and not remembering it. btw setting is a modern day fallfest which is like amusement park size instead of small festival. boom peak game

Okay actually this concept might actually kill me before it ever sees the light of day, so I'm handing it over sloppy style

Okay. So we have The Pieces. We have The Visual Storytelling. We have The Themes. And BECAUSE this hypothetical piece would be SO HEAVY in all the little things I want to articulate with it, knowing that in general, most times people are just passing by on Tumblr dot com (which is fine!). I got the idea to get Interactive about it. That, I would break down each piece, but instead of solely info-dumping, I would set it up like point and click narration/dialogue.

Which led to a few things!!! Such as:

Mani speaking in second person, at Moe. Whenever Mani speaks, it's taking control of the situation. Maybe not always to a dangerous degree, but always... protective. Whenever Moe is uncomfortable, whenever it would rather avoid speaking on the subject, Mani takes over. It creates a layer of separation, for Moe, allowing it a little more room to just breathe. Uh, hold on a minute -- what was that about danger, again? It's... helping Moe, right? Surely, this would never lead to any disastrous outcomes if pushed far enough... surely.....

Then, you have a sudden POV shift into first person. This is Moe speaking freely, directly. The voices are very similar, here... sometimes they are, sometimes they aren't. This is Moe's inner monologue, though. Which, sometimes... doesn't always match up to its spoken words, for a variety of reasons, really. Not too relevant in this specific piece, but noteworthy aspect of its character in general!

Then!!! Sometimes you have a statement, devoid of any point of view. You really can't tell which is speaking, here. I'll spoil what this specific line is about, for further context -- Lulu and Clyde are cats! Litter mates, even! Adopted as a set...

(note. There is no pet death, but this is a Chekhov's gun moment. File that away for later. ... If, "later", comes to be.)

... I got a little bit distracted and rambled off another post, but. I think you get the jist of it. IF THIS DOESN'T KILL ME. BADLY. It would be a really cool storytelling exercise!!!! 😅

Here's a lil somethin I've been chipping away at all week. Ficlet under cut ^_^

“Why the hell is this House Shift so isolated to us?” Broderick sneers at Theodore, crossing his arms over his chest and looking down his nose at the other man. The Director and The Head of Research are standing so close together though not of their own volition. The walls are squeezing in on them but their bodies are not touching yet. Northmoor’s temperature is rising with his agitation. The oxygen in the room is hot, and hard to breathe in. It smells like sweat and stale air.

Ash is shrinking against the wall, his palms flat and fingers splayed outwards on the concrete of The House. It’s like he’s trying to melt into the wall, or at least like he’s trying desperately to get away from his superior. A response bubbles in his throat, but he can’t bring himself to speak properly.

From an outside perspective, it’s clear that they’re trying to reach a conclusion. It’s also clear that with where they stand, one on the side of The Board, the other on the side of The House, that they cannot reach that conclusion together.

It offends Northmoor. He responds with a challenge.

Ash gathers his courage and tries to speak

“Northmoor, Sir, with this house shift, I can't... there's something wrong…” 

“And what, pray tell, would that be?”

Ash takes the challenge, against better reasoning. He thinks he’s going to be able to appeal to Northmoor’s higher reason. He’s been able to tell that something has been changing Northmoor, much like The House has been changing him.

“I- I think it’s you, Sir…” Dr. Ash’s voice comes out meek, afraid, like always. Ash’s hands come up to gesticulate as he speaks. To Ash, there’s the glimmer of opportunity for camaraderie. He couldn’t be more wrong in assuming there’s common ground between them. The sound of the pathetic waver in the Head of Research’s voice is almost enough to distract from the meaning of his words. Almost.

Broderick’s eyes widen. The snarl of his mouth curls into a deeper sneer. Northmoor takes it as an insult, because how else would he take it? He’s even more offended, and now incensed. He surges forward, grabbing Ash’s arms by the wrists, lifting him off his feet and pinning him against The House. The walls shift again, closing around them, squeezing them together even tighter. It practically shoves the air out of their lungs.

Northmoor’s knee is jammed between Ash’s legs, pressing concentrated sweltering heat and pressure against Ash’s crotch. Northmoor’s pelvis is pressed against Ash’s hip. Northmoor’s breath is so hot against Ash’s face, he’s struggling to breathe without choking on the searing damp of the Director’s respiration. They’re so close now, and with Northmoor holding him so hard and high, Ash can practically taste the sweat rolling down his face. His tongue almost, almost darts out to taste it. It’s the only thought in his head other than the fear of imminent immolation.
