Do you know how some people have scary dog privileges??? Well, Loki has scary big-brother privileges. Love how she doesn't even move an inch because she knows Thor is protecting her XD.

What I find very tragic about Loki and Thor relationships in both the current comics and the mcu. Is that Thor do want his siblin to be one of the good guys and by his side but he treats Loki like he hates them so he often end up losing them. Especially in the comics Loki case where Thor is shown to much rather aruge with Loki and be on the side that's against them than listen to Loki. Even now where they seem close Thor still mostly make me feel like he hates Loki and Loki don't seem to feel safe or comfortable telling Thor shit. Like he kept Donald Blake punishment a secret, tyr's punishment too (thor might not even know Loki has tyr imprisoned) he also didn't tell him about the promise he made for odin and I'm going to bet he's not gonna tell Thor about losing his weapons and having to recollect them either.
And don't tell me "but Loki this or that" this isn't about who's the bad brother this is about how tragic their relationship is from Thor side.

Have you ever thought about how MCU Thor was robbed of the compassion that makes Thor Thor ?
People talk about how Thor is a himbo, and it's true that MCU Thor is, he's kind, and he brings that kindness from a place of ignorance, and having never seen and understood injustice. But comics Thor isn't a himbo, his kindness comes from a place of knowledge, of looking at the world and seeing pain and injustice and choosing to help. But Thor didn't earn Mijolnr fighting monsters, he earned it by getting a medical license and using it to treat people for free.
Thunder and lightning and rain can be scary and destructive, but at it's core it's something that brings water, nurtures crops, and keeps people alive. And that's what being worthy of Mijolnr means, to be worthy of being Thor, it means kindness, deliberate kindness. Not ignorance.
Instead we've made himbo the ultimate form of kind men, and glorified ignorance over being aware.

(Dick coming to collect Jason after he’s been “wrongfully” captured by the justice league while Batman is off world:)
Dick: Listen, Hood might be a criminal, but he’s one of Gotham’s. And he’s my brother.
JL: he killed 80 people in two days.
Dick: …he’s adopted?
Jason, glaring while bound to a chair: SO ARE YOU???

Thor: are you going to be part of the problem or the solution?
Loki: oh, problem, definitely
Thor: that wasn't.....*sigh*
Loki: :>
Thor: that was a rhetorical question -_-
Loki: Actually, I even have ideas on how to make the problem funnier.

"Loki has done no wrong" and "No Thor has done no wrong! " both are correct actually, I think they both had done nothing wrong in their lives and y'all are so overdramatic.
"But Loki stabbed Thor in the back so many times" Good for her, plus I and Thor forgive her anyway so it's all good.
"But Thor keeps beating up Loki" Honestly? slay, I would have done the same.

it's so weird being a fan of mcu thor & loki (well not the recent installments, but still) but still valuing respect of other cultures/religions. Like the norse gods have been around for thousands of years, and not simply as "mythology", but are still being worshipped/recognized as real today (asatro, mainly, but also some modern witches who aren't strictly asatro).
Like. Not only is marvel/disney's version (both movies and various comics) absolutely butchering norse mythology, but even if it was mythology-accurate, it still would have been portrayed as simply fiction. As just something made up and not real. Which seems... wrong? Because there are still people worship them/see them as real? It seems like invalidating someone's religion? But i suppose my thinking that might just be the result of the west's overall christian mindset, where the christian god is view as perfect, omnipotent, and due to that any even hinting at him not being real is seen as blasphemous, immoral, and appalling. But since not all religions' deities are viewed as such by their members, maybe it's not as big of a deal? but still.
But it's like. I really like mcu loki and thor. but at the same time i'm just going uhhhhh asdjkf this is so wildly off and nothing like they should be. but at this point they are completely different people and i wouldn't want them to be anyone else. so i'm just like akswlejsjks

Loki (whispering to Peter Parker): Good job on the mission today Spiderling.
Peter (whispering back) : Thank you Mr Loki. Why are we whispering?
Loki (still whispering): I want Thor to think we're conspiring against him. Please look at him when you reply.
Peter (looking at Thor): This is realy funny Mr Loki.
Loki (also looking at Thor): I'm glad you agree.
Thor, sweating in fear: What are they talking about?
Tony, who overheard them but doesn't want to ruin their fun: Stabbing
{Thor proceeds to yeet himself out the nearest window, the last sound he heard was Loki's hysterical laughter)
