Malcolm in the Middle is such an amazing show. The acting was seriously saturated in pure talent. The writing was so funny. The characters had such depth to them. You watch it today and get so much nostalgia for the late 90s early 2000s without feeling like it's a cheesy representation. With my family life, I used to relate so much to the horrible mother troupe and id hate Lois and I would sympathize with the kids and feel seen; and now that I'm an adult and I can process things so much better and I can see there're huge differences between my own mother and Lois and I can appreciate Lois more as a mother and character now; while actually seeing someone I can relate to now as well. With that I love seeing how much Hal genuinely loves Lois with all of himself. He's just obsessed with her and I genuinely believe it. It's the exact opposite of the shows at the time where husbands hate their wives and gawk at other women. There's an entire episode where Lois is literally angry because she cannot fathom that Hal, after all the years of marriage has never thought or looked at another woman when she's looked at other men; it was just agreed upon, brought up by him, that he loves her more and it genuinely wouldn't work as well if she did. I love being able to love this show so much as a kid and take as much as I did then, and be able to rewatch it again as an adult, see it through a different perspective and get even more out of it now. I can see how beautiful Lois is as a woman and I never could when I was young. I can still sympathize with the kids as I did when I was one, but I can also see the grown up version of how things are handled and can understand all the sides. It's truly an amazing piece of media.

what I particularly love about QI is that regardless of whether I’m familiar with the other panelists, or whether they are my favourite comedians or not Alan Davies will be there which always guarantees a good time

After watching Ghosts CBS for a while, I’ve noticed something a little unique about Nigel’s left hand.

If you look closely, you can see there’s only 2 fingers on it. And I looked back on some of John L Hartman’s (the actor who plays Nigel) other tv appearances and social media posts and it’s the same thing. After doing some research, I’ve found out that he most likely has Ectrodactyly.

The reason why I’m bringing this up is because I think at some point in the future, the show should bring awareness to this and have Nigel be open about it. It would also be appropriate since in the Halloween episode in season 2, Nigel DOES mention he has webbed feet. (A trait some people with Ectrodactyly actually have so it would fit) It would be an amazing thing to bring up. And show that people who have physical disfigurements can still act and be portrayed as regular characters without them being the punchline.

(DISCLAIMER: I of course don’t work for the show in any way shape or form and don’t personally know John L Hartman or know how comfortable he would be talking about his condition. Do NOT go spamming him or the writers with this idea. I mean no disrespect to John whatsoever or am I trying to force something to happen on the show. He may or may not be comfortable with himself physically to want to bring up a topic like this on a very popular tv series. I just personally think it would be an interesting idea for the show to try to talk about and bring awareness to. That doesn’t mean it has to come true though.)
