ultimately you have to remember that complaining about "4chan white trans women who are bigoted and so and so" is almost entirely pointless for any purpose aside from raising transmisogynistic sentiments in observers. this specter of an evil tranny is constantly looming despite the individuals being rare and often total shut ins, and people expect transfems to take this shit seriously and be constantly swearing off association with """bad people""". these people, when they do exist, by and large lack the power to actually do anything with their beliefs; obviously if they do it sucks but this idea that there are trans women ~getting away with it~ and that all transfem communities allow and hide this behavior is blatantly transmisogynistic in addition to often being completely imagined! its insane to act like you have to choose between resisting white supremacy and resisting transmisogyny, and yet, people wind up continually portraying it as this

So I decided to have my go at it with drawing them as characters from my favourite game: Cult of The Lamb!

Hot take, but something about this scene with what it does to Annabeth’s character, and what it represents really bothers me.

For context, she, Hazel and Piper are being cornered by Octavian and two other roman soldiers at Charleston Harbor. At this point they are the only enemies present, but they know others are quickly approaching. They have to get back to the Argo II, so that they, Frank, Leo, Jason, Percy and Hedge can escape and continue to safely sail/ fly to Rome. So, Annabeth drops her dagger into the lake and calls on Percy for help, who then easily defeats Octavian and the others.

My question is why make her do that?

It’s a three against three fight.

Even if we assume that, at this point in time, Piper hadn’t trained much and wouldn’t be able to hold her own in a fight (even though she has spent around 6 months training in camp halfblood), Annabeth and Hazel on their own should have been able to defeat Octavian and two no-name roman soldiers fairly easily.

Hazel is probably the second or third most powerful demigod after Percy and maybe Nico, and Annabeth is a war veteran, who has trained in Camp Half-Blood since she was seven years old and has been part of three quests. Yet, they need Percy to bail them out?

I understand that this is simply supposed to be a cute moment, and Rick Riordan probably didn’t think much about it, but it represents a very annoying trend in his writing, in which he focuses more on portraying Percy and Annabeth as the "perfect couple", than on developing their individual characters, and honestly the more I reread hoo the more tried I get of it, and the less I like Percabeth as a romantic relationship.

Like, it's insane how much more I like both characters when they are not around one another in that series.

I'm not gonna lie when I started Persona 3 i wasn't particularly invested in Akihiko. Definitely wasn't planning on romancing him. Then I encountered the most insane piece of dialogue. I haven't been the same since. It haunts me.

God I need a good hydro DPS. But at the same time I'm saving for Iansan and Capitano. The struggle. But more importantly they have Neuvillette's 2nd rerun, but we have yet to see Wrio's 1st. I actually do wonder if Aloy cursed the cryo element when she came out. Shenhe, Wrio, and less now Eula but my point still stands that cryo characters have it tough when it comes to banners.

I think its because of cryo's strange spot in the meta

If we get a cryo Hutao or Arlecchino (massive NA and burst dmg). Reverse melt has the same multiplier as vaporize which can be AS powerful as Hutao or Arle. Which means the burst can be as powerful too. Have you noticed no cryo dps has a single hit nuke burst? (EULA IS PHYS BURST, NOT CRYO, AND YOU SEE HOW HARD PHYS FELL OFF)

If we get a cryo xiangling or xingqiu (off field cryo applicator). Melt multiplier (pyro->cryo) is actually 2x while vaporize is only 1.5x. So yeah it would be extremely busted.

Cryo as an element have either broken or shit reactions. No inbetween. Melt would be busted if theres actual units to support it. Frozen is busted so they made bosses immune to it. Cryo literally doesnt react with dendro while the two other most powerful element (pyro and hydro) does. And who literally uses super conduct outside of phys mains.

Geo fell off for abit until they started upscaling them HARD. (Navia exists, Chiori is straight up Albedo but better, Xilonen is literally geo kazuha). Cryo doesnt get that specific upscaling because they know as soon as cryo gets proper dps or sub dps units, theyd be busted.

But now Cryo is a mid element and all units suffer for it by staying in hyv's basement

My hc is that while Senju clan head title passes from father to eldest son, Uchiha ascribe to philosophy of “leader must be our strongest shinobi” and madara was never actually clan Heir because that just doesn’t exist. He becomes clan head because he surpassed Tajima in strength even before his death but did not challange him for leadership so. He got it after his father’s death. That would also be the reason why he’s not forced to marry because yeah his genetics might’ve made his children OP as fuck there’s no guarantee for it and there’s not an immediate leadership crisis if he dies without an heir
