Discworld Inktober day 11 - Twoflower!
Coincidentally today’s official prompt is “Wander” so here’s everyone’s favorite wanderer, Twoflower.
I never really enjoyed the portrayal of the character Twoflower in the discworld books but loved the movie adaptation. Especially Sean Astin’s performance! This is my version of Twoflower, a Cartoony Sean Astin.
I do this for the fans (including myself) but I do appreciate generosity ❤️ so as always tips appreciated.

In honor of Discworld’s birthday, one thing I love about Color of Magic is that almost none of the characters we know and live have names yet. Who’s Sargent Vimes? What’s a Vetinari? In this city we have The Sargent of The Watch and The Patrician.

One of my favorite things about The Color of Magic is that entities almost always appear BEHIND Rincewind.
This poor man is so tired. No one ever just shows up in front of him.

The mini-series adaptation of the first novel in the late Sir Terry Pratchett's Discworld book series is available to watch for free on Tubi for those of us in the US. The Colour of Magic. It's set in Sir Terry Pratchett's fantasy world known as The Discworld and this particular story mostly deals with the misadventures of the incompetent wizard, Rincewind. It features David Jason (The original voice of Danger Mouse and Duckula) as the incompetent wizard, Rincewind. It also features Sean Astin, Christopher Lee, and Tim Curry. It may not be the best Discworld story but it is the first.

I want someone to write about Gender the way Sir Terry Pratchett wrote about color or anything else. About going past the binary and discovering gender no one has ever considered. But taken way to literally and silly to be any kind of real world parallel.
The way octarine was the color beyond color.
Or how Knurd was being sober beyond sober.
I want to read about a gender that was too gender. That male or female dared not dream of its existence.

Knowing that the Color of Magic was book 1 in retrospect makes it seem alot more bold.
I feel Most people wouldn't build a magical world have the first thing he does with it is throw in a tourist that destroys everything he's next too while gods gamble on the success of him and the wizard who's stuck with him.
Feels like at times especially early on theres a bit too many names thrown and sometimes I had trouble following all the lore being thrown around but that might be on me I don't read as much as I should.
But aside from that when I really get into the book I REALLY get into it. At its best it does an excellent job of absorbing you into the world the character Death is perfect in every scene he's in.
idk just felt like talking about the book.

“What is the color of molecules?” my daughter asked.
My daughter really surprised me with this question. I have never thought about it. So what color are molecules? How accurate are the cartoon depictions of viruses, DNA, or cell membranes?
Molecules are smaller than the vawelength of visible light. As such, they are invisible even to the best optical microscope. They also do not reflect any visible color. They simply do not have any color visible to human eyes. So you can color them according to your own imagination.
