The US has suspended proposed tariffs on Colombia after the two nations reached an agreement on deportation flights. Colombia has agreed to accept deported migrants on US military aircraft without restrictions, following initial resistance by Colombian President Gustavo Petro. Petro had previously barred US military deportation flights, insisting on humane treatment for repatriated citizens.

In response, Donald Trump announced a 25% tariff on Colombian goods and visa sanctions. However, tensions eased as Colombia consented to all US demands, and Washington pledged dignified treatment for deportees. Tariffs remain a possibility if the agreement is not upheld, the White House warned.

I’ve been making big changes since I got back, literally embodying ‘new year, new me.’ Cutting out energy drinks, snacks, unnecessary spending, and prioritizing my health and fitness. It’s been an adjustment, and I’m taking it slow, especially with painting, allowing myself to build consistency over time.

In the past, I’d quit one habit only to lean on another unhealthy coping mechanism. This time, I want to see what happens when I’m truly free—no sugar, no caffeine, no cigarettes, no impulsive shopping. Just me, fully present. I’ll let you know how it feels as I go.
