PLEASE HELP ME PAY MISHA'S VET BILLS
Tumblr media
Hi Everyone,
Misha is my beloved 11-year-old cat, who I've had since she was a six-week old kitten. She's had a number of health issues over the years, and has spent most of her life eating special vet food to keep her healthy. Now, she is sick again, and I need your help.
I believe she has a urinary tract infection, and after calling the vet, I needed to go to a different clinic as the one I usually go to is booked for months, and the amount I am asking for includes file registration, check-up, urine tests, and antibiotics. I am self-employed as a queer small business, and as any small business will tell you, this has been an extremely hard year. I don't want my cat to get sicker, I love her so much, she is my baby. Please, please help if you can.
https://gofund.me/6216987a
**UPDATE**
After visiting the vet Misha needs antibiotics for an infection, to be fully shaved, and to have dental work done. My mom was willing to help, but cannot help with the dental work, which is 2000$. Any donations will now be going directly to a fund to help pay for Misha's teeth. Any help is GREATLY appreciated.
Tumblr media
Pictured: Misha today at the vet having a really sad time, especially when 5 people were needed to hold her in place while her bum was shaved.

Tumblr media
I wanna say May was a busier month. Really, though, what happened is that there was a diversity of experience going on across 31 days.
We weren't necessarily busier... we just did a bunch of different things during the one month.
Definitely that showed up in my work where, with the help of AI, I restored distorted audio then went on to work on a number of projects including short packages that emphasize process and experience, an intro piece for an organization and its work, and then finally a documentary.
In the meantime, Kimmer's still doing her Kimmer thing. Still balancing the full-time professional work with the full-time doctoral work.
And yeah. Her brain is full.
Tumblr media
First week of May's the week we celebrate her cousin's birthday so on the 4th we're hanging out at Paine Field airport 'cause its a really slick airport with a terminal that comes across more like the lobby of an upscale hotel rather than what we're all used to at SeaTac. So we get there early to lounge with coffee 'n hot chocolate before getting on the plane.
Tumblr media
We had a good time, of course. Relaxing a bit. Hanging out. Catching up. Planning. Celebrating.
At one point we're all at a friend's, standing on the patio overlooking a sunlit valley whilst enjoying wine and appetizers.
At another point we're sharing a family meal around a table at one of our favorite local restaurant/pubs with Kimmer's cousin and nephew.
And then later I'm trying to hurl a discus at a nearby park and it does not. go well.
On the upside, none of us had any expectations for my performance. Like, at all.
But it was interesting to hear Kimmer's nephew talk about his first year's experience of discus throwing as part of his high school's team.
He demonstrates for us a few times and then asks me if I want to try.
For laughs, I'm guessing.
And you bet I delivered on those laughs. 🤣🤣🤣
Tumblr media
A few nights later we're home again, thankful for the good care a friend of ours has taken both of our home and of our cats.
That's a heckuva thing to say out loud, by the way.
Cats.
Plural.
Which is its own ongoing story, its own episode of Mutual of Omaha's Wild Kingdom in which we introduce a friendly indoor cat into the home of an indoor/outdoor cat who's spent the better part of ten years marking everything in his house.
That's right. He's possessive.
So he's like a big brother who's bothered by his little brother who's absolutely relentless. Who just won't leave him alone. Who always wants to know what're we doing what're we doing what are we doing???
The new cat, Quarter, is also a big cat who doesn't get that he's a big cat. So he doesn't understand about his sheer physical presence.
And then one day I hear the cats galloping around the house, taking turns chasing each other, challenging each other in staring contests, swatting each with paws.
No claws out, by the way. Never claws out.
And our old cat, Dinker, seems just as engaged at these times.
And then other times he's quite curmudgeonly. And then other other times, when the cats are sleeping, Quarter rests his head on Dinker and all is right with the world.
They have a complicated relationship I guess is my point. But it seems to be moving forward. Expanding in a good way.
So there's that
A couple days after we're back from California, a milestone:
We get our Kia Soul back from the shop.
Tumblr media
It's been a quest with this car ever since it was stolen at the head of December last year when it was literally swiped off the street as part of a TikTok challenge, the first of four such vehicles that would be stolen in sequence that same night by the same crew.
Same crew? How would we know that?
Because a stolen car, ours first we believe, would eventually end up somewhere where another such car would be swiped and then that car would end up somewhere where yet another such car's stolen.
Anyway.
Once recovered, our Soul went to a nearby tow yard where it sat a week or more before being transferred to a shop that could handle some of the damage immediately. It took 'em about a week to handle what they could handle and then we had the car in our drive a couple months until a second shop could take it and finish the remainder of the work.
May 10 is when we got it back in working order.
Tumblr media
Then it's Mother's Day and we're at my Mom & Dad's place to celebrate. Then it's the Sunday after Mother's Day when we celebrate Kimmer so that we can completely focus on her and we have a great day together as a family getting her cards and gifts ready in the morning while she puts in the day's doctoral work, indulging a Linzy-prepared picnic at Tapster, South Lake Union, and then painting garden rocks at Linzy's place while Pixar's "Brave" plays on a nearby monitor.
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Afterward, when we're back home, just the two of us, Kimmer takes the time to place each of the painted rocks in various garden pots out back like she's the Easter bunny hiding eggs. ☺️
In-between those Mother's Days, we're at Mod Pizza thoroughly enjoying one of Kimmer's creations that Mod assembles for us. The experience is worth an honorary mention because while we're there we get to experience the most lovely sunset.
Because it's the small things in life. Right?
Tumblr media
And then later we're at Value Village where they have a map of our solar system that includes Pluto.
Which always warms my heart. ❤️❤️❤️
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Late in the month, one of the bands Linzy's in, Midnight High, performed at the Rabbit Box Theater a level down from street level at the Pike Place Market. Now, we've been to Midnight High gigs before but for some reason this one blew us away all over again as if we were seeing the band for the first time. Not sure why that is... the venue I think had a little to do with it. Small-ish with a French/New Orleans vibe. With dining, tables and booths in the area right in front of the stage on the same level as the stage which made the Midnight High light show even more amazing.
Darndest thing.
The band blew us away all over again. 🤔🤨🤯
Tumblr media
The month of May also found us using Claude AI as a teacher. Me, I had it explain the inner works of neurons, neural networks, neural plasticity, synapses, and neurons that fire together wire together.
As for Kimmer, Claude AI was able to explain to her certain fundamentals of statistics that she's always always always struggled to articulate. And then one evening she just rattles these concepts off to me as if she's always known them as opposed to the reality that she's always pulled her hair out whenever they were part of the assignment.
So.
Huzzah! to Claude AI. Claude's definitely been doing good by us.
Tumblr media
A coupla other tiny moments:
Linzy sent over a photo of her cat, Marlowe, all snuggled up on a blanket on her papazan. She titled the photo—
"Oh to be a cozy little cat on a fuzzy blanket"
—which sounds to me like. it should be the first song on her hypothetical children's label. 😊
And then the second tiny moment is a sunny afternoon walking across campus after work and being fully aware of the sun, the warmth, and how lovely everything looked. ☺️
Tumblr media
For our month's finale, I'm gonna steal a day from June, tack it onto the end of May, and call it May 32.
Why?
Because Linzy had a pair of solo gigs Friday and Saturday that seemed to close out the Month perfectly.
Tumblr media
Friday was at Cafe Umbria in Ballard that was as much a recital for Linzy's students from kids to adults as it was a cafe performance. She mentioned she had the gig and everyone wanted to be there. She even got offers for a pair of free lattes. ☺️☺️☺️
So the cool thing about the performance is that Linzy was responsible for at least ninety percent of customers who were there that night.
And everyone bought food and/or drinks.
Toward the end when requests were on the table, Linzy had more kids and teens right there up front. There were even seats set in front of her about four feet back. The kids brought a lot of fun energy and anticipation. The adults were genuinely happy for the experience.
The following night we were at Montinore Estate and Landline Estates in Woodinville, a combined wine tasting room with a lovely menu.
This time it wasn't a recital but enough people wandered in to fill the place anyway... with a couple at the table behind me who were tuned right into Linzy's set, whispering/soft singing along with most songs in a way that was sweet and not annoying.
The staffs at both gigs were the best, by the way. Super helpful and enjoying the music like everyone else.
Tumblr media
The last thing I wanna mention is "IF", the film that's written, produced, and directed by John Krasinski, starring Cailey Fleming, Ryan Reynolds, and a truckload of stars.
The experience at the Crest was like  a live Pixar movie complete with a heartwarming Pixar twist at the end that I saw coming... although not by much.
It was an amazing, sometimes breathtaking experience that was fully unexpected and, therefore, fully appreciated.
And that was May.
Onward!
☺️

A Ravenclaw Lunch 🦅
Drew some of my favorite Ravenclaws on this platform. Although one isn't necessarily a Ravenclaw. (@traceyc-uk I genuinely thought he was a Ravenclaw when I first saw him lol but I saw your comment reply somewhere that your first playthrough was Ravenclaw so I think this counts… a bit? 😂)
This post is basically a peace offering (and a love letter) bcs I want to make more Ravenclaw friends 👀👉🏻👈🏻 definitely not because I'm obsessed with you guys' MCs
I swear it was supposed to be a silly doodle at first but idk how or when down the line but somehow it turned into this mega drawing. Took me weeks to finish it. I’m not happy with a few technical things especially lights and shadows… and some other things as well but I leave it be bcs I’m aware that I’m still learning 🥲 The rest I’m pretty satisfied with, I’m just happy that I got to finally finish this.
Front row (left to right):
Violet and Pearl Castellar by @vienguinn Omg HAPPY BELATED BELATED BIRTHDAY TO THESE BABIES! These 2 are some of my favorites and everytime you post I always open my phone real quick, your short comics are my comfort 🩵
Clora Clemons by @choccy-milky I cannot not draw Clora?!!?! I consider you a legend in this fandom tbh 👑 also I want to thank you bcs your fic and illustrations literally helped me go through my stressful period when I was at my lowest bcs of my new demanding job that I started half a year ago. I look forward to your post everytime and your Clora and Seb always heals my soul 😭🩵💚
Sally Salamander by @siboom777 Sally is just so wacky and unapologetically herself and I love her for it 🩵 Does she take commissions for toys tho?
Marvin Jerry by @runicxraven MY LOVELY SILLY ADORABLE LITTLE NERD 💗💗💗💗 I need more Marvin in my life honestly.
@najiang ‘s MC - I’m so so sorry I didn’t draw her full face😭, I tried my best to show her face as much as I can while still looking like she’s taking those sausages haha. But anyway please know that I love your art so so much and I kept going back to the curry one and the one where MC came across Amit with beard as adults (that one is hilarious). Idk if your MC has a name or you left it nameless? I assume it was the latter but if she has one I’d love to know!
Faustine Daemon by @faustinio27 Hey, a fellow INFJ! Winter is the same 🩵 I really love her story and especially her personality character sheet, you drew her expressions really well and I’m a fan!
Back row (left to right):
Oliver Lennox by @pixie-dustss Handsome boi 🥰 We’re friends already (I hope I’m not the only one who thinks that way 🫢) from TikTok and you made me a video for Secret Santa last year and I just found out recently that you’re on Tumblr too so I want to say thanks by drawing Oliver! 🩵🩵🩵
Aurélie Collins by @morelikeravenbore I loove this look for Aura, she just looks so chic with the hat and scarf 😭🩵 Sassy Ravenclaw bebe 🥰 My Winter has some French heritage (the lore is still rotting in my notebook bcs I haven’t had the chance to draw her family members 🥲) so I do hope they can be friends and Aura would teach her French bcs she can’t speak much of it 👉🏻👈🏻
Alistair Dusk by @speedysart Surprise! You commented on my last speedpaint on Tiktok yesterday and I want to spill this art so bad but I was almost done so I kept my mouth shut haha. I love the pretty boi’s hair and piercings, and the fact that you chose this blazer for him, I just love it he looks so dapper in that 😣🩵
Eleonora Russel by @zordanna I love sweet Eleonora and her fascination with the moon and stars 🩵🌌 Oh and I kept coming back to your “I feel like an orange” Tiktok bcs it’s so fluffy and it heals my stress… also I adore your art it’s super soft and painty and delicate 🥹💗
@traceyc-uk ‘s MC - YOUR MC. I SWEAR TO MERLIN HE’S ON MY MIND 24/7 LATELY. Not sure why, it’s probably bcs I kept re-reading your comics. Also bcs he’s an adorable little golden retriever (but also a fierce cat!😼) You’re super talented in drawing comics and facial expressions, I have a lot to learn especially in terms of layouting… last time I made a comic I hated the layout and the fact that it looks stiff to me, so your comics has been such an inspiration!

Aimless Love | Billy Collins
This morning as I walked along the lakeshore, I fell in love with a wren and later in the day with a mouse the cat had dropped under the dining room table.
In the shadows of an autumn evening, I fell for a seamstress still at her machine in the tailor's window, and later for a bowl of broth, steam rising like smoke from a naval battle.
This is the best kind of love, I thought, without recompense, without gifts, or unkind words, without suspicion, or silence on the telephone.
The love of the chestnut, the jazz cap and one hand on the wheel.
No lust, no slam of the door— the love of the miniature orange tree, the clean white shirt, the hot evening shower, the highway that cuts across Florida.
No waiting, no huffiness, or rancor— just a twinge every now and then
for the wren who had built her nest on a low branch overhanging the water and for the dead mouse, still dressed in its light brown suit.
But my heart is always propped up in a field on its tripod, ready for the next arrow.
After I carried the mouse by the tail to a pile of leaves in the woods, I found myself standing at the bathroom sink gazing down affectionately at the soap,
so patient and soluble, so at home in its pale green soap dish. I could feel myself falling again as I felt its turning in my wet hands and caught the scent of lavender and stone.

Do you ever see someone and just go "They're a dog ( or any other animal)" cause you think they look like that animal??
for exemples:
Tumblr media
Jared Padalecki
so, we all know that Jared is sometimes called moose because of his height and all , but do we all agree that he also look like a puppy?
Tumblr media
Misha Collins
for me, Misha looks like one of those big cats, like a main coon or a norwegian, a cat with a big and long coat
Tumblr media
Alexander Calvert
let's not forget our little baby. Taking the fact that he looks A LOT like Misha, for me Alex is an adorable orange kitty you can't change my mind
i could give you a lot more exemples but if i do it's gonna take forever so, you just have our three babies as exemples ( beautifuls ones if you ask me-)

London Culture🇬🇧
Music🎤
The Royal Albert Hall hosts concerts and musical events, including The Proms which are held every summer, as well as cinema screenings of films accompanied with live orchestral music.
London is one of the major classical and popular music capitals of the world and hosts major music corporations, such as Universal Music Group International and Warner Music Group, and countless bands, musicians and industry professionals. The city is also home to many orchestras and concert halls, such as the Barbican Arts Centre (principal base of the London Symphony Orchestra and the London Symphony Chorus), the Southbank Centre (London Philharmonic Orchestra and the Philharmonia Orchestra), Cadogan Hall (Royal Philharmonic Orchestra) and the Royal Albert Hall (The Proms). The Proms, an eight-week summer season of daily orchestral classical music first held in 1895, ends with the Last Night of the Proms. London's two main opera houses are the Royal Opera House and the London Coliseum (home to the English National Opera). The UK's largest pipe organ is at the Royal Albert Hall. Other significant instruments are in cathedrals and major churches—the church bells of St Clement Danes feature in the 1744 nursery rhyme "Oranges and Lemons". Several conservatoires are within the city: Royal Academy of Music, Royal College of Music, Guildhall School of Music and Drama and Trinity Laban. The record label EMI was formed in the city in 1931, and an early employee for the company, Alan Blumlein, created stereo sound that year.
Abbey Road Studios in Abbey Road
London has numerous venues for rock and pop concerts, including the world's busiest indoor venue, the O2 Arena, and Wembley Arena, as well as many mid-sized venues, such as Brixton Academy, the Hammersmith Apollo and the Shepherd's Bush Empire. Several music festivals, including the Wireless Festival, Lovebox and Hyde Park's British Summer Time, are held in London.
The city is home to the original Hard Rock Cafe and the Abbey Road Studios, where the Beatles recorded many of their hits. In the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, musicians and groups like Elton John, Pink Floyd, David Bowie, the Rolling Stones, the Kinks, Queen, Eric Clapton, the Who, Cliff Richard, Led Zeppelin, Iron Maiden, Deep Purple, T. Rex, the Police, Elvis Costello, Dire Straits, Cat Stevens, Fleetwood Mac, the Cure, Madness, Culture Club, Dusty Springfield, Phil Collins, Rod Stewart, Status Quo and Sade, derived their sound from the streets and rhythms of London.
London was instrumental in the development of punk music, with figures such as the Sex Pistols, the Clash and fashion designer Vivienne Westwood all based in the city. Other artists to emerge from the London music scene include George Michael, Kate Bush, Seal, Siouxsie and the Banshees, Bush, the Spice Girls, Jamiroquai, Blur, the Prodigy, Gorillaz, Mumford & Sons, Coldplay, Dido, Amy Winehouse, Adele, Sam Smith, Ed Sheeran, Leona Lewis, Ellie Goulding, Dua Lipa and Florence and the Machine. Artists from London played a prominent role in the development of synth-pop, including Gary Numan, Depeche Mode, the Pet Shop Boys and Eurythmics; the latter's "Sweet Dreams (Are Made of This)" was recorded in the attic of their north London home, heralding a trend for home recording methods. Artists from London with a Caribbean influence include Hot Chocolate, Billy Ocean, Soul II Soul and Eddy Grant, with the latter fusing reggae, soul and samba with rock and pop. London is also a centre for urban music. In particular the genres UK garage, drum and bass, dubstep and grime evolved in the city from the foreign genres of house, hip hop, and reggae, alongside local drum and bass. Music station BBC Radio 1Xtra was set up to support the rise of local urban contemporary music both in London and in the rest of the United Kingdom. The British Phonographic Industry's annual popular music awards, the Brit Awards, are held in London.

Leisure and entertainment🛍️
Leisure is a major part of the London economy. A 2003 report attributed a quarter of the entire UK leisure economy to London at 25.6 events per 1000 people. The city is one of the four fashion capitals of the world, and, according to official statistics, is the world's third-busiest film production centre, presents more live comedy than any other city, and has the biggest theatre audience of any city in the world.
Within the City of Westminster in London, the entertainment district of the West End has its focus around Leicester Square, where London and world film premieres are held, and Piccadilly Circus, with its giant electronic advertisements. London's theatre district is here, as are many cinemas, bars, clubs, and restaurants, including the city's Chinatown district (in Soho), and just to the east is Covent Garden, an area housing speciality shops. The city is the home of Andrew Lloyd Webber, whose musicals have dominated West End theatre since the late 20th century. Agatha Christie's The Mousetrap, the world's longest-running play, has been performed in the West End since 1952. The Laurence Olivier Awards–named after Laurence Olivier–are given annually by the Society of London Theatre. The Royal Ballet, English National Ballet, Royal Opera, and English National Opera are based in London and perform at the Royal Opera House, the London Coliseum, Sadler's Wells Theatre, and the Royal Albert Hall, as well as touring the country.
Islington's 1 mile (1.6 km) long Upper Street, extending northwards from Angel, has more bars and restaurants than any other street in the UK. Europe's busiest shopping area is Oxford Street, a shopping street nearly 1 mile (1.6 km) long, making it the longest shopping street in the UK. It is home to vast numbers of retailers and department stores, including Selfridges flagship store. Knightsbridge, home to the equally renowned Harrods department store, lies to the south-west. Opened in 1760 with its flagship store on Regent Street since 1881, Hamleys is the oldest toy store in the world. Madame Tussauds wax museum opened in Baker Street in 1835, an era viewed as being when London's tourism industry began.
London is home to designers John Galliano, Stella McCartney, Manolo Blahnik, and Jimmy Choo, among others; its renowned art and fashion schools make it one of the four international centres of fashion. Mary Quant designed the miniskirt in her King's Road boutique in Swinging Sixties London. London offers a great variety of cuisine as a result of its ethnically diverse population. Gastronomic centres include the Bangladeshi restaurants of Brick Lane and the Chinese restaurants of Chinatown. There are Chinese takeaways throughout London, as are Indian restaurants which provide Indian and Anglo-Indian cuisine. Around 1860, the first fish and chips shop in London was opened by Joseph Malin, a Jewish immigrant, in Bow. The full English breakfast dates from the Victorian era, and many cafes in London serve a full English breakfast throughout the day. London has five 3-Michelin star restaurants, including Restaurant Gordon Ramsay in Chelsea. Many hotels in London provide a traditional afternoon tea service, such as the Oscar Wilde Lounge at the Hotel Café Royal in Piccadilly, and a themed tea service is also available, for example an Alice in Wonderland themed afternoon tea served at the Egerton House Hotel, and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory themed afternoon tea at One Aldwych in Covent Garden. The nation's most popular biscuit to dunk in tea, chocolate digestives have been manufactured by McVitie's at their Harlesden factory in north-west London since 1925.
There is a variety of annual events, beginning with the relatively new New Year's Day Parade, a fireworks display at the London Eye; the world's second largest street party, the Notting Hill Carnival, is held on the late August Bank Holiday each year. Traditional parades include November's Lord Mayor's Show, a centuries-old event celebrating the annual appointment of a new Lord Mayor of the City of London with a procession along the streets of the city, and June's Trooping the Colour, a formal military pageant performed by regiments of the Commonwealth and British armies to celebrate the King's Official Birthday. The Boishakhi Mela is a Bengali New Year festival celebrated by the British Bangladeshi community. It is the largest open-air Asian festival in Europe. After the Notting Hill Carnival, it is the second-largest street festival in the United Kingdom attracting over 80,000 visitors. First held in 1862, the RHS Chelsea Flower Show (run by the Royal Horticultural Society) takes place in May every year.
LGBT scene🏳️‍🌈
The first gay bar in London in the modern sense was The Cave of the Golden Calf, established as a night club in an underground location at 9 Heddon Street, just off Regent Street, in 1912 and "which developed a reputation for sexual freedom and tolerance of same-sex relations."
While London has been an LGBT tourism destination, after homosexuality was decriminalised in England in 1967 gay bar culture became more visible, and from the early 1970s Soho (and in particular Old Compton Street) became the centre of the London LGBT community. G-A-Y, previously based at the Astoria, and now Heaven, is a long-running night club.
Wider British cultural movements have influenced LGBT culture: for example, the emergence of glam rock in the UK in the early 1970s, via Marc Bolan and David Bowie, saw a generation of teenagers begin playing with the idea of androgyny, and the West End musical The Rocky Horror Show, which debuted in London in 1973, is also widely said to have been an influence on countercultural and sexual liberation movements. The Blitz Kids (which included Boy George) frequented the Tuesday club-night at Blitz in Covent Garden, helping launch the New Romantic subcultural movement in the late 1970s. Today, the annual London Pride Parade and the London Lesbian and Gay Film Festival are held in the city.
Literature, film and television🎥
London has been the setting for many works of literature. The pilgrims in Geoffrey Chaucer's late 14th-century Canterbury Tales set out for Canterbury from London. William Shakespeare spent a large part of his life living and working in London; his contemporary Ben Jonson was also based there, and some of his work, most notably his play The Alchemist, was set in the city. A Journal of the Plague Year (1722) by Daniel Defoe is a fictionalisation of the events of the 1665 Great Plague.
The literary centres of London have traditionally been hilly Hampstead and (since the early 20th century) Bloomsbury. Writers closely associated with the city are the diarist Samuel Pepys, noted for his eyewitness account of the Great Fire; Charles Dickens, whose representation of a foggy, snowy, grimy London of street sweepers and pickpockets has influenced people's vision of early Victorian London; and Virginia Woolf, regarded as one of the foremost modernist literary figures of the 20th century. Later important depictions of London from the 19th and early 20th centuries are Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes stories. Robert Louis Stevenson mixed in London literary circles, and in 1886 he wrote the Strange Case of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde, a gothic novella set in Victorian London. In 1898, H. G. Wells' sci-fi novel The War of the Worlds sees London (and the south of England) invaded by Martians. Letitia Elizabeth Landon wrote Calendar of the London Seasons in 1834. Modern writers influenced by the city include Peter Ackroyd, author of a "biography" of London, and Iain Sinclair, who writes in the genre of psychogeography. In the 1940s, George Orwell wrote essays in the London Evening Standard, most notably "A Nice Cup of Tea" (method for making tea) and "The Moon Under Water" (an ideal pub). The WWII evacuation of children from London is depicted in C. S. Lewis' first Narnia book The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe (1950). On Christmas Eve 1925, Winnie-the-Pooh debuted in London's Evening News, with the character based on a stuffed toy A. A. Milne bought for his son Christopher Robin in Harrods. In 1958, author Michael Bond created Paddington Bear, a refugee found in London Paddington station. A screen adaptation, Paddington (2014), features the calypso song "London is the Place for Me".
London has played a significant role in the film industry. Major studios within or bordering London include Pinewood, Elstree, Ealing, Shepperton, Twickenham, and Leavesden, with the James Bond and Harry Potter series among many notable films produced here. Working Title Films has its headquarters in London. A post-production community is centred in Soho, and London houses six of the world's largest visual effects companies, such as Framestore. The Imaginarium, a digital performance-capture studio, was founded by Andy Serkis. London has been the setting for films including Oliver Twist (1948), Scrooge (1951), Peter Pan (1953), One Hundred and One Dalmatians (1961), My Fair Lady (1964), Mary Poppins (1964), Blowup (1966), A Clockwork Orange (1971), The Long Good Friday (1980), The Great Mouse Detective (1986), Notting Hill (1999), Love Actually (2003), V for Vendetta (2005), Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street (2008) and The King's Speech (2010). Notable actors and filmmakers from London include Charlie Chaplin, Alfred Hitchcock, Michael Caine, Julie Andrews, Peter Sellers, David Lean, Julie Christie, Gary Oldman, Emma Thompson, Guy Ritchie, Christopher Nolan, Alan Rickman, Jude Law, Helena Bonham Carter, Idris Elba, Tom Hardy, Daniel Radcliffe, Keira Knightley, Daniel Kaluuya and Daniel Day-Lewis. Post-war Ealing comedies featured Alec Guinness, from the 1950s Hammer Horrors starred Christopher Lee, films by Michael Powell included the London-set early slasher Peeping Tom (1960), the 1970s comedy troupe Monty Python had film editing suites in Covent Garden, while since the 1990s Richard Curtis's rom-coms have featured Hugh Grant. The largest cinema chain in the country, Odeon Cinemas was founded in London in 1928 by Oscar Deutsch. The British Academy Film Awards (BAFTAs) have been held in London since 1949, with the BAFTA Fellowship the Academy's highest accolade. Founded in 1957, the BFI London Film Festival takes place over two weeks every October.
London is a major centre for television production, with studios including Television Centre, ITV Studios, Sky Campus and Fountain Studios; the latter hosted the original talent shows, Pop Idol, The X Factor, and Britain's Got Talent, before each format was exported around the world. Formerly a franchise of ITV, Thames Television featured comedians such as Benny Hill and Rowan Atkinson (Mr. Bean was first screened by Thames), while Talkback produced Da Ali G Show which featured Sacha Baron Cohen as Ali G. Many television shows have been set in London, including the popular television soap opera EastEnders.

Awwwww you have so many pets!! Agh they sound so cute. One day I will have a cat and I plan on naming it Pringles (if it is orange) and Pickles (for any other color)!!
OH THE ADVENTURE ZONE IS SO GOOD! But... you need to like their humor in order to like it- so I can understand if it isn't for you lol. Until the end of the first arch they are just following a module and having a good time, nothing really story heavy happens until later. (OH BUT ITS SO WORTH IT OMG-)
Favorite was ELA I always loved writing, I was just sad that it was almost NEVER creative writing. Just boring essays n' stuff. Least favorite was history/geography and... it shows. I am... REALLY dumb when it comes to those two things.
Favorite stuffed animal... hmmm. I would probably have to go with either Fred the GIANT stuffed bear, or my dragon with no wings (totally not a dinosaur- I refuse to admit that-) and his name is Quest!
As to what I am drawing: Right now I am working on my comic! I would show you but it might give away who I am haha (also- can't send pictures via anon)
Questions: What is underland chronicles about? Funny how similar our taste in shows was because MAN I know none of the books you listed. Do you have a favorite video game?
(also this is so fun! Thank you for doing this with me! I love meeting new people on here!!)
-🌻
History is my downfall as well!
Ok, so The Underland Chronicles follows the story of this 12 year old kid named Gregor. He lives in a small New York apartment with his mom and 2 sisters. One day, he and his baby sister fall down a vent shaft in their apartment building laundry room... and then keep falling. And falling. They wind up in this place called the Underland. It's an absolutely massive cave system running underneath like, the entire U.S. Down there is a full on city of people called Regalia. There, Gregor learns that he's a great warrior foretold by the prophecies of their people. And that basically all the animals in the underland are massive and sentient. There are giant bats that people "bond" with and can fly on the backs of. Giant man eating rats that want to kill all the humans in Regalia, giant cockroaches, giant mice, giant lizards, and just so much more.
This poor kid has been prophecized to basically save this kingdom from like a billion different threats. He has to kill this entire rat army, find a cure for a deadly plague, slay this extra giant rat dude, and like so much more. Also, this is written by Suzanne Collins, the author of the Hunger Games. So while these are books intended for 12 year olds, they are violent and graphic. So many characters die, and I think I cried over like every book. The last one really left me messed up. They are great. Like, for example, there's a scene where a character gets eaten alive by a giant pitcher plant, and they try to save her, but when they pull her out she's like completely dissolved by acid from the waist up. And on multiple occasions Gregor has been described as "drenched in blood" (not his own) and just absolutely traumatized. This kid gets messed up.
I love it literally so much. This series was like, the best thing my little 10 year old self ever read. I still encourage people to read it no matter your age cause it's just so good. It's also really hard to describe so my little summary does not do it justice at all.
My favorite video game is Little Nightmares! Specifically the first one, but I'm also a big fan of the second! I was also a big Undertale kid, but for some reason now I don't remember much of it?
Questions: Do you have a favorite video game? And aside from Warrior Cats, what's your favorite childhood book? Or favorite book in general?
(It's past 12 am here so I'm probably gonna go to bed in a bit!)
